A comedic take on an action rouguelike, gameplay is fun, however it can become a bit repetative after winning a few runs. Certain powers and weapon combos are hilariously unbalanced, which is usually a bad sign, however I feel it is part of the charm when your character is a gun weilding axolotl. Would recommend solo or with a friend.

It's cute, it's fast, it's funny. An enjoyable bullet hell.

My only gripe is that difficulty really spikes in later levels to the point were I felt that some SSS items were required to go through that.

I bought this game for the multiplayer, which does not work. The game does not lock the mouse cursor so if move the mouse too much and click outside of the game, it minimizes and does not pause. There's also a long loading time between each level which is crazy for how sparse they are.

first of all i wanna say this game is pretty fun playing solo, but multiplayer has many gripes at the same time that makes it feel worse

but with that said and why I'm giving a negative review is because of multiplayer for a few good reasons, one is that the game is definitely marketed for coop literally has together in the name, plus first thing you see in description, which is normally something i would love but its some of the worst I've played, this is a edit but i dont mean its the worse ive played games with worse coop experience but i meant like as a whole theres plenty of things that makes it feel less fun to me as a whole in coop then just 1 big issue if you know what i mean
1 - the camera in multiplayer is terrible or at least feels bad to me, especially cuz i lose my character alot, i wish it was separate cameras for both players or atleast a static one on the whole map, and wish there was a way to make the characters pop out more on screen like good outlines or something

2 - every time you open a chest talk to npc or open shop, it pauses the game for the other player, which is annoying it wouldn't even be that bad if it atleast showed you what they were seeing but it doesn't, and when you are getting new eggs its also annoying because only one person actually gets to see what you got

3 - there are so many bugs I've encountered, one is when my friend whos hosting moves other things whether from items or that look laggy or wierd, theres also bugs where we load into the save and for me and there is 2 more axolotls which wouldn't be too bad except they stay even in a run and every room, and theres also one where we have finished a run or died and then the connection gets lost for a some random reason when going back to the hub area

4 - weapon swap keybinds don't work in multiplayer at least like 1, 2, but you can get around it by setting the scroll wheel swap to a different keybinds but i presume that wouldn't be nice if you have more than 2 weapons because of preciseness

5 - the game doesn't remember you as a coop member so it will reset your charachtor to the base coop one, which is really annoying cuz you cant even see every axolotl you have at once so you got to go die in a run till you can find the one you wanna use

and there may be more but cant think of them while writing, but even with those just being multiplayer things solo isn't perfect either, but solo is much more enjoyable of an experience imo

but i do hope this game gets better for multiplayer cuz i do enjoy it, it just needs work, solo is fun though if that's your jam

I'm writing this review after the 100% milestone, only really missing some axolotl skins. I think that the game is fun, but repetitive. By the time you get about 10-15 wins you'll have pretty much experienced all the variety the game has to offer. The bosses are almost always the same, and they don't have a wide variety of attacks (which is fine). The combination of these two issues though creates a sense of monotony that grinds down the spirit as you go for the grindier achievements.
Since enemies don't really scale, only ever doing a maximum of two damage, at a point in the run the only way they pose a threat is in numbers, which by the time you get to that point in the run you'll already have the trinkets and weapons to counteract this would be problem. A lot of the items range from mid to worthless, and unlocking new weapons and trinkets is kind of a slog as you only get a limited amount of gold from a full run. This makes progression super slow, and is where you'll spend most of your time. This slow progression combined with lack of variety is really draining, and lowkey made me want to die in the final hours. An example is the caterkillah achievement, which asks you to kill 1000 caterkillah enemies. For reference, by the time I had unlocked all but two achievements, I had only killed around 500ish since they only spawn in the first biome in limited amounts. Other achievements such as unlocking everything from the respective shops also takes a while due to expensive weapon/trinket prices combined with limited gold.
In conclusion, I think that the game is fun and has a great base to build further off of, but would recommend getting on sale or at a later time as the game just needs more features to draw you back for the amount of time they expect you to invest. It is needless padding in an otherwise good game.

El multijugador deja mucho que desear. Tiene muchos fallos y la conexión va rara. Cuando interactúa un jugador con algo tienes que esperar a que acabe, no ves su animación ni lo que está haciendo, te lo pierdes todo. A veces, después de una partida la pantalla se queda en negro y hay que reiniciar el juego.
Me lo instalé para jugarlo multijugador, que es la gracia del juego y es casi imposible por lo poco cuidado que está este aspecto.

Lo recomiendo porque es buen juego, pero le falta mucho trabajo y le vendría bien darle una vuelta al multijugador...

i really like it but co-op is a bit wonky.
we often disconnect even with good connection. For the party who joined, it gets laggy after the 3rd or 4th biom. After finishing a run and you have a connection, the Host doesn't get to see what they unlocked, but the friend can see it, after joining singleplayer world in their own world (they dont get it, just get the "new" screens instead of the host)

Also 4 or 5 axolotls have the same effect, is that right?

This is a really cute and fun game, there's lots of cute things like the adorable ways to hatch your new friends, and you can pet them to make them happy. The controls and gameplay feels good and its actually quite difficult at times. It feels like a cooking mama, animal crossing and 2d roguelike mixed together which feels perfect for quick pick up and plays.

It's pretty fun, the art is cute, the co-op is fun the boss are varried and intresting and there a good amount of replayablility but the core loop doesn't have a huge amount of varriety in it. a 7/10 its well made but nothing is massivly standout

Grundsetzlich ein lustiges Spiel mit jeder menge ref. zeugs :D aber und das ist der größte negativ punkt an diesem spiel in meinen Augen ist die Kameraführung das immer versucht wird beide Spieler im Blick zu behalten. was im Co-op leider Semi geil ist.

für den fall das ein Dev das lesen sollte stellt es doch bitte so ein das jeder seine eigene sicht hat das würde das spiel erlebniss um einiges verbessern
