I picked up Action Alien expecting a simple, dumb fun shooter where I could just blast enemies and chill for a while, and to be fair, that’s exactly what it is… just not for very long.
Right from the start, the game throws you into fast-paced arenas filled with aliens coming at you from all directions. There’s no deep setup, no real story to follow, it’s just you, your weapons, and waves of enemies. At first, I actually enjoyed that simplicity. It’s easy to jump in, start shooting, and not think too much. Perfect for short sessions when you just want something quick and straightforward.
The shooting itself feels decent enough. Weapons have some impact, enemies react, and there’s a constant flow of action. For the first few levels, it’s kind of satisfying to mow down waves and survive longer each time. There’s a bit of that arcade-style loop where you try to beat your previous performance, which kept me engaged for a while.
But the problem is how fast everything starts to feel the same. There’s not much variety in enemies, environments, or gameplay mechanics. After a short time, I felt like I had already seen everything the game had to offer. It doesn’t really introduce new ideas or evolve its gameplay, so it turns repetitive pretty quickly.
Another issue is the overall lack of depth. There’s no meaningful progression system, no real upgrades that change how you play, and nothing that keeps you invested long-term. It’s just wave after wave with slightly increasing difficulty. Without something to work toward, it starts to feel pointless after a while.
Visually, it’s okay but very basic. The environments are functional, but they don’t stand out, and the overall presentation feels a bit generic. Same goes for the audio, it’s there, it works, but it’s not memorable in any way.
Overall, I didn’t hate it. It does what it sets out to do, provide a simple, fast-paced shooter experience. But it lacks the depth and variety needed to keep me coming back. It’s the kind of game you play for a short burst and then move on.

Its Story Mode consists of three maps with equally simplistic logic: the first two maps require players to escape via vehicles, but unfortunately, the vehicles run out of fuel. Players must then scavenge for fuel and supplies while facing increasingly numerous monsters. As a “story” mode, it's incredibly dull and poorly executed. The final map functions more like a weapon test, forcing players to use every weapon type to defeat wave after wave of enemies.
If you encounter achievement unlock issues—like getting stuck at 9,999 kills instead of 10,000—simply uninstall and reinstall the game (resetting your progress). "They destroyed my bar, but I am still here! Hell yeah!"-Action Alien is a cancerously playable game. We play as some guy that looks like John Rambo's long distance cousin, call him Bob Stalingrad, whatever. This man will go on a genocidal alien rampage just to retrieve his car keys, defending every gas station known to man like the local crackhead at 3 am. We have two gamemodes to choose from-story mode, and survival. Now the story mode is pretty weird as it doesn't have any "story", surival mode on the other hand is pretty...okay-ish? as you fight off endless waves of aliens on two maps that are pretty bland. The best level out of all is the Petrol station map, compared to the other ones, it has the most thought-out design, and an actually fun weapon progression that shifts in-between the alien waves you sweep. The other story maps are pretty bad, the wasteland level for example is a more scuffed version of the petrol station, every weapon has been thrown into random corners of the map and your objective is to run around and collect supplies one by one making the game feel like a chore.
The Tropical hotel map is quite the same, although it's way more open and colorful its still just a chore of walking around, collecting gas and food for your escape, taking down every alien in your wake. The gunplay is quite lacking, it is satisfying at times but a lot of the weapons suffer from being too quiet....like, how the hell is the pistol louder than the m16?! (MARK IT ZERO! reference!?). The game has a form of character and weapon customization-by killing aliens you score points, which you can spend on upgrading your stats or your guns. You can spend the points on golden camos for the guns. I found the HUD in action alien to be quite clean, and I love the summary screen after finishing every map, it even plays a damn good tune! But that's where the good things about it end, Action Alien has a horrid optimization probably one of the worst i've seen in a game. I Literally had to rebuild my PC into an IED for it to somehow run EVEN after that, i barely had 50 FPS, AND THE FACT NOT EVEN MY RTX 4060 COULD SAVE ME IS DIABOLICAL. Now a very key part of the game are the aliens, aren't they? i mean the "alien" is in the damn title of the game, and the alien design is truly UGLY not ugly in a good way, it's just straight-up terrible. And i have no idea how you mess up an alien design for a game. Because with the factor of the unknown you have a big window for creativity....but the enemies are just weird mutated lizards. Matter of fact i doubt these are aliens-they're just the local wildlife horribly mutated by the optimization of the habitat they live in, hungry for blood because of the high gas prices. Now, what these inbred crayon-colored reptiles don't make up in looks or brains they make up in NUMBERS, because you will be mowing down hundreds of them during a single level. The gameplay loop in Action Alien is pretty boring, even though it has a tiny form of character customization with the upgrades.It does not reward the player for in-game exploration or for simply unlocking every upgrade which makes the whole game just less memorable. There's no niche humor, no secrets and no depth in the alien design. Compare it to serious Sam or something, Action alien is just a killsim that you can sink a few hours into, and while it is hilarious at times its because of the insane bugs you will encounter.But I also won't hate on the developer, people pick on this game too hard. No, it's not the WORST game on steam, nor it's a "so bad its good" kinda game...it's just so bad it's playable and I simply can't recommend it as a game in general 2.5/10.

Disparos en primera persona con aceptable variedad en armas y habilidades ARPG. En algunas armas no hay punto de mira y no se puede apuntar de otra manera. Solo ofrece 2 modos de juego, con pocas diferencias entre ambos.
Gráficos, audio, animaciones y cinemáticas mediocres. Además las cinemáticas no permite saltarlas.
Interfaz demasiado simple y confusa, es complejo saber si las opciones están o no activadas.
Opciones de configuración limitadas, no permite redefinir teclas. Tampoco se puede cambiar nada una vez la partida ha iniciado, hay que salir de ella y volver al menú.
Guardar partida NO se puede. En caso de morir, hay que empezar desde el principio. Solo hay 4 mapas, aunque 2 son casi idénticos. Completar cada uno puede requerir al menos 20 o 30 minutos.
Historia casi inexistente y ridícula.
Voces no hay, el idioma del texto NO está traducido al español.
Optimización deficiente, oscila entre 20 y 60 FPS.
IA pobre, los enemigos están un poco ciegos.
Dificultad volátil y capada, sin niveles a elegir. En ocasiones se recibe poco daño, pero en ciertos momentos surgen cincuenta mil monstruos y resulta fácil morir acorralado.
Físicas irreales:
- Las manos y el arma atraviesan objetos si el protagonista se acerca demasiado.
- Interesante la destrucción de edificios, pero mal implementada, ya que los escombros acaban rebotando como si fueran de cartón.
- Los cadáveres vuelan demasiado al recibir impactos o se agitan bruscamente.
- El protagonista rebota al caminar sobre obstáculos, como si fueran muelles.
Conclusión: como proyecto académico es un aceptable comienzo, pero como producto comercial no. Hay mejores alternativas, incluso gratis.

mas não é o suficiente para se estabilizar em 30fps em momentos de muito inimigos e destruição de cenário constante, e aviso que abaixem o volume do pc e jogo na hora de jogar, caso você tenha sangue frio para comprar isso para jogar invés de farmar carta, o volume estrondoso me deixou com dor de cabeça o restante do dia.

Si Warhammer 40K Space Marine II y Helldivers 2 fueran buenos juegos.
Este es probablemente uno de los mejores juegos con el cual he tenido el honor y la satisfacción de toparme. El gameplay loop es sencillamente maravilloso y te atrapa en los primeros minutos de juego. La banda sonora es un deleite para mis oídos, los son enemigos variados y únicos. La dificultad es realmente desafiante y te llena de emoción, así como de tensión al enfrentarte a una enorme cantidad de enemigos.
Compararlo con Warhammer 40k Space Marine II y Helldivers 2 sería insultar la obra y gracia que es "Action Alien", un producto incomprendido por la audiencia moderna la cual no logra apreciar el potencial de esta "underrated gem".
Mi calificación final? 20 Aliens de 10.

The first thing about this game right off the bat is it's not shy about how much it is truly of the Unreal engine. That being said, I find myself absolutely absorbed by this game. You play an unnamed fellow with a very unlucky streak when it comes to transportation, and finding yourself regularly face to face with tons of aliens! The gameplay has a lot of fetch quest minutae that might turn off some, but the idea is straightforward enough - in the Wasteland map, your goal is to load up a recovered car with gas, food, and water to escape the area. With every item delivered to the car, another wave of aliens comes to beat your head in. With the Island map, the goal is to load up a plane with supplies after finding the key - you get the idea. With the Wasteland map in particular, the long stretch of highway that makes up the map helps make it very clear what's coming and from what direction, making it an ideal starter map, while the Island map is more intermediate based on the foilage hiding aliens regularly and moving slowly through water being a factor. The aliens all have specific ways they affect the tide of battle, as the quick small aliens run up and nip at your heels, the purple aliens shoot acid and act while you're distracted by the quick aliens, and the giant aliens are there to take up your focus fire from the other two. The game has a weird way it handles audio, because you'll hear the pitter-patter of aliens that are homing in on you, but not in relation to where they are on the map. Every single footstep sounds like it's directly behind you, which is great for the atmosphere but not so much the shooting. There's plenty of opportunities to get above ground to avoid the aliens, but don't get too attached, because practically everything is destructable and the aliens WILL rip apart any shelter to get at you. All of these add up to a hoard shooter where it's imperative to use your shots wisely - at least at first, as each session in the game gives you points to spend on better movements and weapons to make each successive run easier, similar to what you'd find in a roguelike. Improved weapons hit harder, and golden weapons will explode on impact like a Borderlands gun. This one really charmed me, and I believe it will charm you too!
I really enjoyed this game. In the beginning it doesn't seem to great but the build is pretty decent, I love the fact it has multiple maps and a pretty decent character & weapon upgrade system. I find myself coming back often to try and get more achievements.

For $0.49... sure why not. It's not great - the graphics are outdated and the physics are quite wonky. The story mode is extremely repetitive, with each map just having you run back and forth from locations. It's also very easy since there is an abundance of health packs and ammo crates everywhere.
You can definitely get some entertainment out of it, though. The destruction of buildings and ability to kick everything was fun. As was throwing grenades into the large trail of aliens that accumulates behind you. It's kind of like you're playing a B rated action movie.
"Action Alien" ist ein First-Person-Trash-Horden-Shooter.
Irgendwie sind Alien-Horden auf der Erde und irgendwie müssen wir sie mit Hilfe diverser Waffen möglichst alle abknallen. Das ist so ziemlich die ganze Story. Und mehr Story braucht es eigentlich auch nicht, denn unsere einzige Aufgabe ist es, alles abzuballern.
Es gibt zwar neben dem Endlos-Survival Modus auch einen Story Modus, der besteht allerdings im Wesentlichen nur aus drei unterschiedlichen Settings und leicht unterschiedlicher Struktur.
Im Grunde machen wir immer dasselbe. Wumme und Ammo finden, Gegner-Welle abwehren, sich wieder heilen und aufmunitionieren und die nächste stärkere Welle erwarten.
Es gibt mehrere unterschiedliche Alien-Typen, die ihre eigene Angriffsstrategie haben. Die meisten rennen einfach nur ohne Verstand auf einen zu. Andere spucken auf Distanz Säure. Riesen-Aliens schlucken gerne mal mehrere Magazine.
Die Aliens sind dabei nicht gerade mit Intelligenz gesegnet. Im Gegenteil. Nicht selten bleiben sie an Ecken hängen oder buggen sich in Objekte.
Die Waffen sind zahlreich und meist klassisch. Revolver, Pistole, MG und Schrotflinte sind die Standard-Wummen, die auch alle ähnlich effektiv sind. Und so kann man sich denn nach Geschmack aussuchen. welche zwei Waffen man am Liebsten am Mann hat. Optisch wirken die Waffen recht generisch. So sieht etwa das Jagdgewehr eher wie ein zu groß geratener Zahnstocher aus.
Überhaupt scheint die Grafik und die Animationen aus den 90ern zu stammen und erinnern bestenfalls an eine sehr grottige Version von "Far Cry 1". Auch der Sound scheint aus zahlreichen generischen Shootern zusammengewürfelt.
Immerhin lassen sich Teile der Umgebung zerstören und immerhin lassen sich gesammelte Punkte auch in dauerhafte Perks und Waffen-Upgrades investieren.
So ziemlich alles spricht gegen das Spiel. Das Gameplay ist stupide und repetitiv, das Handling der Waffen ist schwammig und teils ungenau, eine KI ist praktisch nicht vorhanden und auch technisch leistet der Titel nur das Aller-Nötigste. Und doch macht das Spielchen erstaunlicherweise eine gewisse Zeit lang Spaß. Wahrscheinlich gerade weil es so extrem stupide ist und man praktisch gezwungen wird, sein Hirn auszuschalten.

Man kann es nicht Leiser machen, die Sounds sind generell Müll.
es hört sich so an als wenn 3 Rennen, obwohl nur Du es bist.
Du kannst alles Zerstören, Selbst Häuser mit ein paar Schüssen.
Kauf es Dir nicht!

На экране какие-то точки, лагает всё люто, хотя графика и анимации на уровне говноигры Halflife 1. Покупать советую только ради дорогих карточек.
Хз, не играл. Чёт ни одной карточки за 9 часов не выпали..

very well made game had lot of action and lots of aliens 10/10.
A shooter not that bad, not that great for an indie game. The stuff is bugged when you pick your first handgun.

Прикольная игра, здесь вы почувствуете себя богом который может всех убить) Геймплей: 8\10 - мало разнообразия. Графика: её не разумно оценивать, игра где спавниться одновременно 200 монстров. В другой графике даже очень мощные компы не потянули. (У меня мощный, и порой подлагивало) Сюжет: 10\10 для этой игре отличный) Советую попробовать!)

Its an ok shooter. Feels rather dated and unpolished. Lower end graphics with low frame rate gave me vertigo and nausea pretty quick but that might just be me. Only paid 35 cents for the game, so was it worth it, yea. Something to pass the time by shooting some aliens but doubt I will play it much.

It's a pretty good game.... if it was 1995. I mean, seriously? It cannot get more outdated than this.
I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

As the game progresses it gets harder by making the enemies green then yellow and they go from doing 1 dmg to 1 dmg. Also entire story mode is walking back and forth for 20 minutes because you can only hold one item at a time

Aliens attack you when reloading super unfair there claw attacks dont need reloading na i kid thats my bad for forgeting to reload when they where not attacking me game plays like nuke dukem but without the swearing or sex jokes aslo you can not pet the aliens i tryed
