If you buy this game, you get both the original version and the reboot. I have not played the reboot edition, as it felt pointless to me — the campaign is only available in the original version of the game.
I was a big fan of C&C Generals back in the day. The game looks similar to Generals, but it plays a bit differently. Each faction has superweapons, as well as both shared and unique infantry, vehicles, helicopters, and planes. All three factions feel distinct.
The gameplay is fun, with one major exception in my opinion: the resources. Good lord, the resource system was not well planned. The game has three resources — money, aluminum, and rare earth elements. Two of the main factions can easily run out of the last two resources, and the Cartel faction (the “bad guys”) can run out of aluminum.
Yes, there is a way to sell captured enemy soldiers or pilots for one of those resources, but it is better to keep them in prisons or field hospitals. That way, they passively generate a much greater and effectively infinite amount of money over time.[/b]

Act of Aggression ist eines der besten RTS die es gibt. Es reiht sich ein in eine Reihe mit C&C Generals und World in Conflict. Wer es noch nicht kennt und mal wieder etwas RTS sucht, ist hier bestens bedient.

A fun and intresting rts with some skill need to compleat it and a story very well thought out takes a lerning curve but it was still worth it despite evrythingif you don't minde rts or limits this will work for you

Fan absolu d'Act of War, j'attendais sa suite (spirituelle) avec la plus grande impatience. Et ma déception fut d'autant plus grande.
Il y a tellement de choses à dire et redire sur ce volet mais principalement négatives.
Le jeu reprends le concept d'une guerre dans un futur proche ou des factions luttent pour prendre le contrôle de territoires et surtout de ressources financière importantes pour leurs avenirs respectifs.
Eugen System avait brillé par sa maitrise en 2005. En effet, le gameplay s'inspirait fortement d'un Command & Conquer tout en y apportant leur patte dans un monde dominé par la technologie de pointe chez tous les belligérants.
Hélas dans cet opus de 2015 (10 ans d'attente après AoW !), si la technologie occupe toujours une place de choix, à contrario, le gameplay lui, a subi des modifications pour le moins gênantes si on le compare à son grand frère.
AoA est un STR classique qui fait le boulot, les amateurs du genre y trouveront leur compte.
Mais est-il une bonne suite à AoW ? La réponse est non.
Le gameplay d'un point de vue global souffre d'une inertie désagréable.
- Les unités d'infanteries sont d'une lenteur agaçante, et avec un dézoom, chaque véhicule ou unité est trop petite à l'écran, ce qui oblige à rezoomer pour vérifier sans cesse sur quoi on clique; ce qui occasionne une grosse perte de temps.
- Les icônes qui indiquait qu'un soldat pouvait rentrer dans un véhicule ou bâtiment ne sont plus là.
Le système de grades a disparu sans aucune raison valable. Pourtant ce dernier était bien pratique: chaque unité pédestre ou motorisée se voyait attribuée d'un grade si elle multipliait le nombre d'ennemis tués ou capturés, augmentant ainsi sa barre de vie, sa résistance et ses dégâts. On pouvait de cette façon créer des groupes expérimentés et plus puissants ou bien créer des "rookies" et les utiliser selon le contexte durant la partie.
ES nous livre une suite qui a perdu des éléments cruciaux et jouissifs de son gameplay de 2005, et qui laisse un très très très grand sentiment de frustration.

Steam啥时候能给个中评的选项，这游戏我肯定不会给好评，但差评说实话罪不至此。
这游戏要咋形容呢，举个有点夸张的例子，就好像你小时候有个无话不说的，很要好的朋友。你们都很喜欢玩宝可梦，最开心的事情就是逢年过节聚在一起的时候，在电脑上开着模拟器，带着自己喜欢的宝可梦冒险。也不懂什么努力值种族值，两个人看着奇怪的翻译和配招哈哈大笑。
之后的一天他突然告诉你，他要去国外读书了，以后不能再来你家玩了。时过境迁，你从玩模拟器到了买NS买卡带玩的年纪，但你时不时仍会想起你的儿时伙伴，想着如果能够再次相见，两个人捧着NS延续童年的快乐。
直到有一天，你突然和你的朋友再次相遇了，没想到过了那么多年他依然还在玩宝可梦，你激动不已，想着再一次和他在宝可梦的世界里冒险，但你的朋友已经变成了对战党，对剧情没什么兴趣。你们两个好像有很多可以聊的，又好像没什么能聊的。
当然我不是说对宝可梦战党不好啊，我的意思是这游戏是那种”应该“很好玩，但实际上玩起来却没那么好玩的RTS。只能那么说，欧根在RTT领域说第二，没人敢说第一。但论RTS，欧根在西木头甚至EALA面前还是太年轻了。
优点，CCG有啥优点他就有啥优点，因为这个游戏基本上就是CCG的近未来科幻风格版。哦他甚至把CCG当初砍掉的俘虏系统都给加了回来。还有就是缩放到最大会进入UAV界面，把重点高亮出来的做法非常有意思。
缺点：
1.经济系统，原版太繁琐了，我从没见过需要3种资源的RTS。地球2160有3种资源，但人家每个派系都是3选2，像这种3个都要的实在没见过。如果你要勉强算的话，最高指挥官2确实有3种资源，质量电力和研究点数。但最指2的研究点数其实更类似于CCG的将军经验值，两者都都能在战斗中直接自动获取（当然你也可以建研究所获得研究点数），用来”解锁“更多的单位和功能，但不参与到单位实际生产中。而AOA的3种资源不仅需要采集，而且在生产单位时是都要用到的。重制版似乎意识到了问题，直接大手一挥3种资源像将军一样直接综合成了US刀乐，但问题是欧根似乎在数据和地图调整上又出了岔子。导致遭遇战前期真的是非常非常的穷，更糟糕的是这游戏不像CNC或者WG是可以调整初始资源的，你没办法1500点或者5万开局。所以这游戏发展阶段比最高指挥官1代都要缓慢，很难受。
2.如果光是穷，发展慢，倒也无所谓，我一边攒钱一边朱紫还能打打太晶坑。但问题是AI和SD2/WG里一样是开了大生产协议的，而且比上述两款里面开的还要离谱。拿红龙举例子的话就相当于你才刚出1队摩托斯基和一辆BMP，对面已经MBT70带着迫击炮和武直找上门来了，这你要我怎么玩嘛！首先你WG/SD里都没开的那么离谱的，再说了RTT里AI笨，真要治它那种高富帅猪突猛进的方法有的是，你RTS玩这一套你告诉我怎么玩？这次可没有什么筒子躲树林里轰侧面的玩法了啊！
3.你玩冲突世界的时候是不是经常支援技能打空？你是否曾经看着明明目标坦克就挪到了旁边一点点却依然像个白痴一样扫射空地的攻击机驾驶员血压升高？当你玩了AOA之后你就会发现人家这么设定还真有原因的，这游戏的空中支援强到不讲道理，而且根本不需要什么操作。我就说一个：美军的对地UCAV，你可能不知道这玩意有多变态，我还是拿冲突世界举例子，相当于你叫A-10/Su-25的那条扫射线是无线延伸的，从战场的一端扫射到另一端，而且这条线非常非常宽，可以说有半个屏幕那么宽。你哪怕把单位挪的远远的它照样一发导弹送上天。
4.那你可能会说啊这有啥的，好歹AOA的战斗机是能打的，你防空把它打下来不就好了嘛！问题是我打不下来啊！这游戏的防空太太太差劲了，一般的野战伴随防空根本没用。战雷里叱诧风云的铠甲大人在这游戏里成了战斗机的星努力，WGRD里的亚平宁打飞机超人奥托马提克更是惨遭美军直升机机长奇袭。唯一有点用处的也就固定防空设施和重防空，但问题是这游戏不像最高指挥官有雷达系统能超视距打击，雷达上看到不明空中单位SAM就直接把它们捅下来了，也不像WG和WARNO里那样好歹射程超长命中率也不错，飞机也比较容易发现，老远就能捅下来，更不像SD2那样能给飞行员上压力或者给飞机上状态。更糟糕的是，这是RTS啊！这游戏里的飞机只要有钱那就是无限的，RTT里AI再作弊那起码它们的飞机也是能被打光的，这游戏里AI本身就富得流油，跟tm拍美国大片一样空中支援无限叫就跟你嗯换。重防空要大后期才能出，更何况就算出了也不能保证你能在战斗机投完弹之前把它打下来。那你说我学习CCG里的老钟打法，造维修设施给单位和塔无限续航可以伐。啊可以是可以的，而且确实有用，因为这游戏的维修和隔壁风暴崛起一样可以叠加+可以对建筑生效，你两个维修设施基本上就和套了铁幕一样别说空军，连自走炮都拿你没办法。但问题是维修设施很贵，拿我常用的奇美拉举例，你首先得花8000先升级坚盾协议，然后才能花3600把前哨站升级成维修站，这一来一去都1万多了，要知道你捞钱都是几十几十捞的啊！那你可能要问了那你为啥要造两个呢？因为首先这游戏的推土机和CCG不一样，它是没有维修功能的，其次就是这游戏的空军坠机伤害非常恐怖，比红警3里的自爆天狗还要恐怖。1台能秒杀地面单位，2台UCAV能砸死一个前哨站。而且我不知道是不是AI它故意算好的，很多时候它的战斗机坠毁的时候都”恰好“能砸中我的单位和建筑，比如”恰好“砸死我的推土机/重防空，比如连着两次”恰好“砸在同一个前哨站上。哦顺带一提，最近有个和AOA很像的新秀RTS，叫Global Conflagration，玩demo的时候发现一样的毛病。
5.还有就是一些零散的小毛病，比如说遭遇战的队伍和颜色居然是不能自由调整的。4人地图要么2V2要么FFA，那我想2V1V1就不行咩？更奇怪的是地图位子塞满以后连调整队伍都不行，必须把一个AI踢掉才能换到另一队。地图出生点似乎只有固定和随机两种，这个固定的意思不是一般RTS那种你自己随便定，而是地图就已经把两队的出生点定死了，比如说12
34，地图规定了12必须是一队，而34必须是一队，你不能自己在1而队友在4。
2V2只能是红VS蓝，WG和SD里颜色不能换问题倒不是太大，毕竟颜色只不过和兵牌有关，单位是有自己的涂装的。你兵牌显示的再花花绿绿单位涂装也不会变。但你AOA怎么搞就不对了啊，首先你是近未来RTS，再者你的单位又不是按照现实来涂装，而是学传统RTS那样有明显的识别色，那凭什么不能换颜色呢？
暂时先想到这些，以后一边玩一边看看还有啥要加的吧。

Trash "RTS" where the A.I. has endless resources and all units have a hard counter that would make Starcraft blush...
Make no mistake...the Reboot edition is better than the confusing nightmare of the original edition, but it still plays hyper slow to build up, but also super hectic in dealing with the sudden enemy units that are of a number and tech level you can't be expected to deal with for the time elapsed.
Eugen needs to stop making games. Stop listening to the nostalgia fetishists who tell you you're even just decent and get a real job over there, guys.

The AI may not be the best and it may be slightly unbalanced but it is still fun to play for a few hours at a time!
I just wish there were more variations of maps to play with 4 players (8 if you count the AI)

cool game, sad that it dies, well; the entire rts genre that like these are dead dang.
First, I was annoyed that there was no active pause because the campaign missions were a click-fest with few missions that gave you a breather to play around with the units and try stuff out, far different than the game speed control of Act of War. I nearly dropped the game after several attempts at the 7th Chimera mission, but then I found out that Cheat Engine has a speed hack and after fixing the Alt+Tab crash, I finally could enjoy the game. The most fun are the Cartel missions with their unconventional setups.
As a C&C Fan, this game is interesting in many different ways, it both scratches and itch and yet doesn't at the same time.

Act of Aggression is a fun RTS with good graphics and interesting factions to play as, and fight against.
US Army is more the American Armed Forces, You have your Marines, your Freebrams, and some random smattering of all the other branches, save for the Coastguard.
The UN Faction is more a UN QRF meant for responding to rapid issues, with an interesting hodgepopdge of vehicles and tech, a UN Run is quite interesting, as they strike the weird Hit & Run vibes then I'd anticipated, with quick units that allow them to keep the QRF in the name.
The Cartel is the one that shakes it up. Playing as a shadowey underworld styled organization, your main units are Contractors & Mercenaries, with higher tech levels allowing you to gain access to more Stealth based technology and building it into more of a Sci-Fi faction, versus the Modern/Alt-Modern vibes of the other two.
Only thing I'm thinking this game is missing, beyond the glorious green glow of tiberium and the bald head of Kane, is honestly a 4th "Evil" or a "Neutral" Faction to shake it up, 2 "Good" aligned and 1 "Evil" feels kinda eh, I'd be fine if the 4th was more Insurgents or Ye Olde Ruskies.

As a fan of Act of War, all I can say this is a more sloppy version and futuristic that doesn't make too much sense to play
While AoW aims more for a kinda realistic type of game that slowly goes into futuristic, AoA goes straight up to the future, with model units that just look, behave and are model in a funny way (Like, cmon, the Cartel has the Vector stock clipping the units and they grab ???. And this is a complain because, why would you let me zoom in so close if you don't want to put any effort on the models), building and vehicles being smaller than infantry, and mechanics just straight up from Act of War from 2005
How a 2005 game still handles better than a 10 years later game, which got a reboot that still looks worst than the original is something that escapes me and whatever I'm going to write here, but I can't recommend this over Act of War that you can still purchase with the expansion

Not C&C but SP campaign was decent at times.

This game failed on a number of levels.
It looks polished. It didn't fail on that level.
But base-building always felt too "open." There was no defending your base, even if you wanted to. And I don't like turtling, mind you, but some security would've been nice.
The tech trees and units were over-designed. I remember this being a thing, but can't remember exactly how. I seem to recall having to scour all my buildings to find a random tech I needed.
The general RTS formula had no flourish; everything that played well might've done so, but it did it like every other game.
Worse: there were things that didn't play well. Pathing was annoying. The maps were huge. The air units were difficult to manage. In fact, when it first came out, people complained so much that they re-did the air units. But all they did was dumb the air units down. Initially, air units were hard to control, but they did dynamic play, e.g. circle an area in patrol until engaging a target or running out of fuel. So the devs' "redesign" in the "Reboot Edition" featured a simple system that involved the air unit going in a straight line to your target and firing at anything along the way. They just dumbed it down. There was no dynamic aspect.
And your air units would just get shot down anyway by that one turret that was sitting in the fog-of-war that you missed.
You have factions that align with the general triad of RTS gaming: a low-tech or weird-tech speed faction, a power faction, and a middle-of-the-road tech or defensive faction. I believe, in this game, it is respectively: Middle Eastern terrorists, the US, and the European Union.
Hell, I might go play this just to better remember how bad it was.
But it was bad.
Difficult.

都25年了 成天玩这个15年的游戏 好像这游戏的背景还是25年 就很抽象 游戏里面三大阵营也很有意思 美军就是传统意义上的美军 装备 升级选项都能跟现实里对上 奇美拉是个窜 里面欧洲（包括俄罗斯）的装备非常齐全 还都是目前正在服役的单位 商盟用的东西就魔幻了 好些现实里面可能都不存在 比方说双管的联盟榴弹炮 防空坦克目测就是偏流（最近沉迷于断箭 对偏流大人崇敬至深）以目前的眼光看 这款游戏蛮不错的 后面出的重启版是将原版的三种资源整合成一种 回归前作的仅开采石油的模式 但是我更喜欢石油 铝矿 稀土矿（属于是语言了25年的稀土战争了）的设定
这游戏值得玩玩 可能10年前RTS就没啥人玩了吧 这游戏销量跟它的前两作差不多 卖的都不太好 （前两作就更久远了 最前面那一作甚至是我买的第一款正版游戏）欧根早早就弃坑了 遭遇战里那么几个地图 早被我玩烂了 开发商也没开放游戏的第三方地图 自己也不更新 甚至连中文都没有 就很难评 从设定 玩法 游戏的画面 我觉得还是愿意给个好评 也不求以后能有更新了 服务器能继续运行就行了 偶尔上去跟朋友一起打打AI 或者最好关服前能开放LAN联机
最后吐槽一下 25年玩着新开发的断箭 操作着15年这款游戏里的模型 感觉也是奇奇怪怪

It's not fun to play with enemy who has unlimited resources.
I bought this game to enjoy the campaign. It starts very good. Story is nice, cutscenes are good, but the difficulty or balance issues drive me nuts and it looks like it's not only my problem. Each new mission achievment has lower and lower %. FIrst mission was completed 65% of players and 7th episode was completed by 14%. Why? Campaign is hard or has no balance. There are few resources for player and unlimited for enemy.
8th mission: you have 30 mins to wipe out enemies. You don't have much resources and waves of enemies come from all directions. The longer you are trying to protect your base or make units, the more powerful waves come to you.
This developer made a great RTS Act of War: Direct Action. I liked it so much so I bought next game Act of War: High Treason. It was horrible and unbalanced. It was kinda puzzle RTS. Player needs to know the enemy's waves power and direction to finish the mission.
Act of Aggression starts as good RTS Act of War: Direct Action and I enjoyed it. Then it ends as puzzle RTS Act of War: High Treason.

If you miss the golden age of Command & Conquer and Generals, Act of Aggression brings that energy back with modern visuals and faction variety. Each side feels unique, the base-building is satisfying, and the tech trees are deep enough for multiple playstyles. The Reboot Edition fixes a lot of early issues—definitely worth a shot if you're into tactical warfare and strategic base planning.

É por conta de jogos assim que a Steam devia ter uma opção além de recomendado ou não, por um lado o jogo é bonito, tem facções com unidades interessantes e uma boa mecânica de construção das bases, mas por outro falha no combate em si, certas unidades parecem que não dão dano o bastante, morrem facilmente e ficam presas no cenário, além das animações serem bem mal feitas, ainda gostei o jogo(mas só porque um RTS desse estilo é raro) e se estiver barato recomendo dar uma chance.

Russian units appear in the campaign, which raises the question: why not include a full playable Russian faction in skirmish mode? It feels like a missed opportunity to expand the game’s diversity and depth.
This game would benefit tremendously from official modding support and Steam Workshop integration. Giving players the ability to create and share custom maps or gameplay mods would extend its lifespan and enrich the community.

You can often spend a lot of time in single-player mode, depending on how many enemies you have and what difficulty level you choose for the bots.
I don't know much about multiplayer mode because I mostly play single player, so you have to find out for yourself if multiplayer mode is something for you.
There are three different "units" (USA, Kartel, Chimera), which is a bit limited for me personally, considering the game has been out since 2015.
In the game you need three different resources: oil, aluminum and rare earths, which you can find and mine anywhere on the map.
As I said, great game, but unfortunately, no new Part yet.
It is a fun RTS game to try
这游戏有2个版本，一个是首发的版本（蓝色UI），因为首发版反响很差。后面出了个RE版（黄色UI），重置了游戏的经济系统。说实在的首发版确实不好玩。尤其是经济系统，一个战斗节奏很快的游戏还分出3种资源采集。尤其是除了美军以外的两家，经济拖沓的同时前线单位死的飞快。后面RE版重做了经济系统之后就好了很多。
回到游戏性上，本作是战争行为的续作。所以不提倡大兵团框A，而是重点在巷战协同。合理利用步战车、步兵、医疗可以在城区打出漂亮的杂耍。可也是因为重点都在花活上了，如果你是传统RTS的打法，会发现除美军外，另外两家比较缺抗线单位的同时，有大量远程杀伤手段，导致攻坚乏力，战局拖沓。但如果你学会了步兵作战，就会发现这游戏真正的乐趣。
经典值得一入，价格不贵。喜欢红警和命令与征服的很推荐玩玩。

Comment a-t-on pu sortir l'excellentissime Act of War et son extension ; puis pondre une bouse pareille ? Tous les points négatifs ont volontairement été intégrés puisque inexistants dans AoW. Je ne parlerai pas de la version Reboot qui est une daube en tout point.

On va le reconnaître, le jeu est beau. Unités comme bâtiments sont bien détaillés. Tout parait réaliste. Passerelles, gaines de ventilation, installations électriques, grillage, antennes... on s'y croirait et chaque élément a sa place. L'US army est plutôt orientée vers les tentes et gabions, la Chimère vers le préfabriqué, le Cartel vers le très propre futuriste.
Seulement, à vouloir faire trop réaliste, les bâtiments se ressemblent tous.
Et ça s'applique aussi aux unités qui ne sont pas aidées par la caméra bien plus éloignée qu'un AoW ou un C&C. Les véhicules se ressemblent. Les USA ont 3 améliorations de Humvee, soit 4 versions. 4 versions de Stryker. le Blazer ressemble à un Stryker. Le Jackal et le Scout du Cartel se ressemblent (et leurs fonctions se chevauchent). Le Tigre et le Ninja de la Chimère se ressemblent.
Les GFX sont jolis, mais trop envahissants et trop spectaculaires. La fumée des missiles étouffe le champ de vision, les explosions d'artillerie donnent l'impression de pouvoir raser un quartier entier mais n'enlèvent même pas 25% des PV d'un char. Les railguns sont superbes mais à la fin on se croirait en boite de nuit. Tout cela par-dessus des bâtiments et des unités qui se distinguent difficilement, ça devient une véritable foire.

Tout dans ce jeu est lent. Pas forcément le temps de production des unités ou bien les déplacements. L'infanterie met cent ans à entrer ou sortir d'un véhicule ou d'un bâtiment parce qu'elle doit physiquement atteindre la porte d'entrée du transport. Les hélicoptères pèsent 200 tonnes et ont une inertie immonde, mettent une éternité à accélérer et décélérer tout en faisant des tonneaux à en faire vomir les pilotes. Les manœuvres en hit-and-run sont une purge. Et cerise sur le gâteau, il y a un délai d'une demi-seconde entre le moment où l'ordre et donné et celui où il est exécuté.
Dans un jeu où il faut être réactif car les unités sont fragiles et se dézinguent mutuellement en deux-trois coups, c'est affreux. Surtout lorsque vous faites débarquer des soldats d'un véhicule dans le but de les faire entrer dans un bâtiment occupé, ou bien faire une attaque éclair avec des soldats antichar que vous faites débarquer, tirer et rentrer aussitôt. Ils vont se faire canarder comme des couillons et ça vous scier les nerfs.
Pour une raison qui m'échappe, les dégâts, eux, sont sujets au phénomène inverse : ils sont appliqués avant même que le projectile ne touche. Ce qui rend les combats étranges voire pénibles surtout contre les missiles.

Aux antipodes de l'asthénie générale des troupes, les armes, en revanche sont sous stéroïdes. En fin de partie, tout devient un minigun à munitions. Avec l'obusier US ou Cartel, c'est un feu d'artifice tellement ils tirent en une salve. Parce que ça rejoint le problème de lisibilité.
Et puis les explosions, mon dieu. Qu'elles puissent endommager les hélicoptères, pourquoi pas (non, en fait c'est idiot). Mais les avions ? Une raffinerie détruite par un bombardier va exploser et peut-être détruire votre bombardier. Du pur génie.
Et tous les missiles finissent par devenir NLOS, c'est à dire tir en arc par-dessus les obstacles. Il n'y a plus aucune unicité, tout le monde l'a. Si on ajoute à ça le fait que ces missiles antichar peuvent aussi verrouiller l'infanterie, ça devient juste la fête du slip. Ces machins finissent par avoir plus de portée que les snipers ou les mortiers.
Les devs en avaient certainement conscience car ils ont rajouté une palanquée de moyens de détruire les missiles grâce à des CIWS ou des autocanons. On ne va pas se mentir, ça fait peut-être le travail en début de partie, mais une fois qu'arrive le déluge de missiles, on abandonne l'idée.
Comme si ça ne suffisait pas, dans la course effrénée au réalisme, l'écrasante majorité des véhicules ont une mitrailleuse. Les MBT aussi. Pourquoi s'embêter à incorporer de l'anti-infanterie quand les chars font tout ? Et attention, ces mitrailleuses visent aussi les hélicoptères. C'est limite si elles ne font pas le café aussi.

En plus du délai de réponse, deux fonctions essentielles sont cassées : tenir la position et cesser le feu.
Donner un ordre de mouvement à une unité sous "tenir la position" désactive cette posture. Attribuer la posture en mouvement équivaut à un stop. Il faut donc attendre que l'unité arrive à destination puis attribuer la posture.
Une unité sous "cesser le feu" désactivera cette posture si elle subit des dégâts. Ou si elle attaque. Inique pour les unités furtives. Le moindre pet de travers, la moindre flamme, le moindre dommage collatéral les feront sortir de leurs gonds et perdre toute leur utilité. Et aussi quand l'ordre d'attaque est donné. Si l'unité n'est pas, elle ou son canon, pile en face de la cible, le cesser le feu est désactivé dès l'ordre d'attaque et elle tirera donc sur ce qui se trouve en face le cas échéant, plutôt que de pivoter sur la cible puis attaquer.

Le scénario est passable, un classique AoW à lutter contre des cellules terroristes. On a de jolies animations 2D et d'assez chouettes visuels, notamment des séquences vidéos de troupes ou de véhicules.
Si la campagne des gentils est d'une facilité déconcertante en raison de leurs unités OP, la campagne des méchants (jouables, c'est à souligner) est une purge intégrale en raison de la fonction "cesser le feu" qui est cassée. Or le Cartel mise tout sur la discrétion est les embuscades, ce qui rend cette faction et donc cette campagne injouable.
Et trop souvent, il sera obligatoire de capturer des bâtiments des autres factions pour combler les lacunes du Cartel dont les unités sont vraiment mauvaises. Pourtant faction agressive, la mission finale demandera 45 minutes de défense d'un allié inepte.
Cette mission finale aurait du faire la part belle à l'arsenal du Cartel, mais non. On n'a pas de QG donc pas moyen de construire les bâtiments du Cartel. On a un usine de base, une caserne mais pas de bâtiment d'améliorations ; face à une IA qui a tout : avions, artillerie minigun, missiles NLOS. Le seul moyen d'y parvenir est de construire les défenses et unités des deux autres factions qui surclassent le Cartel dans tous les domaines.
En clair, la mission finale du Cartel consiste à jouer... tout sauf le Cartel.

En escarmouche, ce n'est guère mieux. Trois ressources à gérer, c'est trop pour l'IA. Elle n'a plus d'aluminium et un bâtiment qui en coûte est en cours d'achat ? Dommage, elle sera éternellement coincée car elle ne revoit pas ses priorités. Le plus cocasse c'est qu'une raffinerie est en queue. La partie est finie, achevez donc les souffrances de l'IA.
Le gros problème c'est la faible quantité de ressources. Il n'y en a pas assez pour des parties durables et on est forcé de se tourner vers les bâtiments qui en génèrent gratuitement pendant qu'il n'y a plus de raffinerie à détruire, ce qui est anti-stratégique.
Quant à la musique ? Oubliable. Rachitique. Répétitive. Finie la musique dynamique d'AoW. La tension. L'oppression. Un des morceaux donne l'impression d'être sous les cocotiers, un autre d'être dans un supermarché, et la dernière est potable mais lancinante, à base de guitare électrique.

Un mauvais "Act of" mais aussi un mauvais STR. Une déchéance sur tous les niveaux. Vous prenez Act of War, vous enlevez tout ce qui est bien, vous rajoutez des mécaniques cassées, de mauvaises idées et paf ! Vous avez Act of Aggression. Le Reboot ne l'aura même pas sauvé, au contraire.

This lame excuse of a game was probably made by some indy-outsorcers, because I refuse to believe the famous Eugene Systems could stoop so low - with its dumb spamming AI, poor interface and disgusting environment sounds... It simply looks like a half-a$$ piece of a job and is inferior to the original Act of War in almost every aspect, hence it has no right to be called a spiritual successor to Act of War. Which is yet another proof that games simply $uck nowadays. Sad...
