Zombie Apocalypse is a dual-stick shooter where the player must survive waves of zombies across 55 stages/days. Points are awarded for saving stranded civilians, killing zombies with environmental hazards, or simply mowing down the hordes with ten weapons including machine guns, flamethrowers, shotguns, and chainsaws. Up to four players can tackle the zombies together, online or off.

"Zombie Apocalypse" is another low key asset flip. This is just a collection of mismatched (probably store-bought or free stock) assets thrown together to form a basic, shallow experience... more designed for the sake of an amateur developer being able to call themselves a "game developer" thanks to Steam Direct and stock assets than a product designed for gamers. For that reason it's obviously not going to provide a decent gaming experience.
This is an early Digital Homicide style asset flip now published free on PC by the mobile app PC port makers at GameTop (why, nobody knows). And it's bad, real bad... clunky controls, bad assets, zero polish, barely working gameplay. This was shovelware when it launched on PC 9 years ago. Now, it's only gotten worse.
So the visuals might look halfway decent at first glance, if mismatched looking in places. But that's only because the "developer" is using other people's assets. When a dev is too lazy or untalented to make their own art, they usually aren't capable of competent coding or game design either. That is exactly the case with this mess.
This game is fairly dated at 9 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now.
Let's look at the price and what kind of value this actually offers gamers.
This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too.
A peak of [b]11 concurrent players[/b] (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game.
Given that this free game won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library?
Nope. This isn't worth downloading. There's no financial cost up-front, but you'd still be spending your time and a little hard drive space on a product that's far from the best. There's thousands of better alternatives on Steam.
At the end of the day, my reviews are intended to help gamers find quality and avoid the dregs (with over 140,000 games on Steam... not all of them are masterpieces). If you think my review is wrong, definitely add this to your library, download it and play it... it's surely exactly the kind of game you'll love (but I doubt it will work out that way). Орды зомби прут со всех сторон, заставляя постоянно искать ресурсы, строить укрепления и отбиваться от нескончаемых волн. Графика вполне приличная, хотя и не хватает лоска современным проектам, но это компенсируется динамичным геймплеем и разнообразием оружия. Особенно радует возможность играть в кооперативе с друзьями, ведь вместе шансы на выживание значительно возрастают.
Однако, игра не лишена недостатков. Сюжетная линия довольно слабая и служит скорее фоном для бесконечного истребления мертвецов. Некоторые миссии кажутся однообразными, а AI союзников оставляет желать лучшего. К тому же, иногда встречаются баги, которые могут испортить впечатление от игрового процесса.
В целом, "Zombie Apocalypse" - это неплохой выбор для любителей зомби-тематики и динамичных шутеров. got the AK-47, it only has 5 shots. I decided to upgrade it hoping it would go to 10 or to automatic, grinded levels to get enough money and finally upgraded the weapon......2 bullets, went from 5 shots to 7.
Pros: Pistol has unlimited Ammo
Pros: Free right now.
Cons: Pausing the game you lose your towers.
Cons: The car on the bottom left blocks my bullets from hitting the mob, even when i'm clearly not hitting the car.

I know its supposed to be a simple game but its just so poorly made, the levels just get way too hard way too fast, the money is just so minimal and there's no in game settings at all, not even for mouse sensitivity which is just cranked up to the max I guess, just not a very good game, even for free.

Несколько видов врагов и 4 вида оружия которое можно апгрейдить и 4 вида апгрейда для нашей базы. Игра весит смешные 200мб но многие все равно смешали ее с грязью. Как по мне можно поиграть и пройти ее за вечерок-другой.
Один минус как по мне (кому то может плюс) что зомби умирают даже от выстрела в ногу.

Oh... This took me two decades to past. Siberia 83 in Tayga, a bunch of zombies came to me, and I had only my shotgun by my side. And then Stalin, Khrushchev, and all the brothers came and fought by our side. I started to collapse to the ground, zombies came out from the forest, we had a large mustache and a giant khachapuri from my pocket. I threw it and it exploded right in front of me and then I stood out loud and shook, this khachapuri was made for my friends. And then I understood my life. I went to my izba and took out my dear friend with giant bullets, oh yes. Good days!
Whilst you can tell this was more of a pation project, i still severely liked it, the shooting felt crisp and precise, the shotgun was very fun to use on the dogs (THOSE DAMN BASTARDS) I would recommend for anyone to try this elegant masterpiece of a game, that truly deserves a pricing of 40$ minimum

В целом это не самая плохая игра в Стиме и как стрельбище для тренировки она может подойти. Графика тут конечно на уровне мобильных игр, чего-то уникального в плане зомби апокалипсиса тут нету. Никаких достижений, карточек и другого интерактива, спасибо что хотя бы не за 300р, а бесплатно. Вообщем если вам вообще нечего делать то можно поиграть часик, но не более.

Game is okay! It has a lot of potential to be a great game with some minor adjustments. Here's what i feel would make this game a lot better. Each level should have a different map otherwise the game gets stale pretty fast. Once the Zombie's get to the fence, you shouldn't lose health right away. They should either start to climb over the fence or start beating it down. The character not being able to movie was not an issue for me, felt similar to the game House Of The Dead but H.O.T.D was hands down better than this. This game needs a few more characters to choose from with different skills. you should also be able to fortify your fence. A variety of different zombies would be cool too. I liked the graphics and the music. it's a free game so i would recommend it to anyone like myself who loves zombie games. For this reason a lone i am giving it a like. However i would not purchase this game in it's current state but would definitely purchase it with the changes i mentioned here.

Siendo sinceros, el juego no es muy bueno. Aunque lo haya jugado poco, rapidamente se puede notar que con el pasar de los niveles se vuelve cada vez mas repetitivo y aburrido. También aparecen mas variedades de zombies además de los normales, pero estos no cambian mucho la jugabilidad y no dan una dificultad extra. Si no tienes dinero y una buena pc, y te gustaría jugar un juego de zombies, esta no es la mejor opción, pero quizás te guste jugarlo. Algo bueno que le veo es que jugandolo puedes practicar tu aim/puntería que te puede ayudar en otros juegos.

uuuh yeah, this game isn't very good.
I kinda enjoyed it in the first few moments, but then it got boring real fast.
Here are some issues I encountered while playing the game:
-sometimes the game doesn't register the bullet that hit the enemy,meaning that you have to use more ammo for the
easiest enemy in the game.(also,did I mention that bullets aren't free?)
-and sometimes enemies might get in your base, but if you shoot the zombies a second before it gets in, the game doesn't
register it.
Now, I definitely wouldn't reccomend this game to ya, but if ya don't believe me then just go see it for yourself.
(also a quick discaimer if ya DO decide to play this, there's no map variations in the entire game, meaning that you'll have to play on the same boring game for 40 levels in a row!)

Why, sure this game isn't that bad gameplay wise, but I don't understand these games that don't have settings to configure. You can't change mouse sensitivity. So lucky for me I got a fancy mouse that I can press a button to do a preset, but not everybody has that kind of thing. So I get the great fun of going and changing my settings for this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, then having to reset my mouse when I exit. Sure, 'First world problems' but like, you're reading my stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ review, so back at you John Apocalypse. Anyway, back to my subjectively tough life. This game is essentially a railless rail-shooter, but You don't get to use a hand accurate laser gun, instead you use a degree of separation or 2 depending on if you use a controller or not. Too, I'm sure no ones surprise, the game doesn't have settings for sounds either, a great thing that I have to adjust again, OUTSIDE THE GAME, then CHANGE BACK AGAIN as soon as I leave the game. ♥♥♥♥ off with this ♥♥♥♥, really.

This game feels like an old arcade shooter. You are inable to move, you just point your gun at a zombie and shoot. My only issue is the fact the 45 levels are the same except the later levels have more zombies. this game is alright for a free game, but if the game was anything paid, it would not be worth it. If you looking for a simple arcade zombie game, this is down your alley. If your looking for something closer to Call Of Duty Zombies, this is not for you atall.

The enemy list consists of normal zombies, zombies with a knife, zombie dogs, taller zombies and then zombies with muscles all of which simply require the need of placing shots to the head.
To help you, you get a weak pistol at the start with infinite ammo. Later a choice between a shotgun which basically puts anything down when they get close enough, a SMG which is pretty pointless and a AK which is my personal highest recommendation as it will practically one shot everything even from afar … lessening the tedious put me out of my misery grind you will experience if you choose to complete the 45 levels.
You also can buy 2 tower soldiers which will probably do half the work for you unless you ever pause the game which then starts a glitch where your tower friends won’t work anymore until you again reset. Finally you can buy explosive barrels that basically just fizzle a little bit when shot.
Why https://www.gametop.com/ thought it would be great to have a game that has zero in variety to offer, with no conclusive ending and no achievements tells me that the zombies in game probably have more brain thinking matter than the devs.

It's like playing them old "sirvive the night" or "castle/zombie defense" flash games back in the day, but you get a 1st person experience of the character. However it would be nice to move left and right om yjr porcj and not just aim the gun ldft and right.

Вся суть Zombie Apocalypse заключается в стоянии на одном и том же месте, на протяжении десятков уровней (!) и отстреле медленно приближающихся зомби. Локация при этом не меняется! Уровни отличаются друг от друга только количеством волн или своей продолжительностью. Также изредка прибавляются новые виды мертвяков, один унылее другого. Плюс имеется возможность апгрейда оружия и базы.
Больше в игре ничего нет. Посмотрите геймплейное видео (то, что в шапке), гляньте скриншоты и просто закройте эту страницу...

Après 6 heures de jeu et les 45 missions terminées, voici mon verdict:
Tout d'abord, préparez-vous psychologiquement car vous allez avoir droit au même décor du début jusqu'à la fin sans pouvoir vous déplacer (dommage qu'il n'existe pas de variante).
Ensuite, le jeu en deviendra certainement lassant pour certains, "addictif" pour d'autres vu que celui-ci est très répétitif. Il s'agira de tuer tous les zombies s'approchant de près ou de loin de votre campement afin de passer au niveau suivant.
Vous pourrez alors acheter de nouvelles armes et améliorations pour votre abri grâce à l'argent que vous aurez gagné.
On remarque que le jeu est assez limité au niveau de son contenu et que sa durée de vie est tirée par les cheveux car il serait tout à fait possible de le terminer en moins de 2h si nous n'avions pas à nous farcir les dizaines de vagues de zombies qui nous tombent dessus à la fin.
D'ailleurs en parlant de fin...eh bien il n'y en a pas. Même pas un petit effort pour nous mettre un boss final ou une vague de zombies plus hardue. Rien pour nous mettre vraiment au défi.
Car oui, Zombie Apocalypse n'est pas difficile à terminer, loin de là. Pour les plus courageux, vous pourrez le terminer uniquement au pistolet mais là, c'est le décervelage garanti tellement cela deviendra rébarbatif.
Certes, de nouveaux types d'ennemis viendront égayer vos parties, mais ils se comptent sur les doigts de la main..
Enfin, on notera quelques éléments frustrants de gameplay comme la hitbox du pick-up blanc sur votre gauche qui vous empêchera de descendre les ennemis à proximité. Et si par mégarde vous décidez de mettre votre partie en pause lorsque vous aurez débloqué les soldats dans leur mirador, alors ils ne vous seront plus d'aucune utilité.
Tout cela pour dire quoi? Que même si ce jeu a des défauts, qu'il est répétitif et qu'il paraît non terminé, il ne faut pas oublier que celui-ci est GRATUIT, contrairement à plein d'autres daubes du style "jeu flash" florissantes sur le marché Steam et qui sont payantes!
C'est pour cette raison que j'ai décidé de noter positivement Zombie Apocalypse, même s'il aurait pû être plus abouti.

Вся игра это:
- бесплатная игра на Unity... ну, Вы понимаете.
- тир: мы можем отстреливать зомби с зафиксированной позиции, перемещаться здесь нельзя.
- 45 уровней, но все на одной и той же локации.
- однотипные задания, в духе: вырежи n-волн зомби.
- возможности покупки и апгрейда оружия и заслонов (всего 4 штуки каждого), но при этом денег всегда падает очень мало, и для любой покупки надо гриндить и гриндить зомбаков, дабы собрать нужную сумму.
- зомбаков всего 7 видов на всю игру.
- кривая анимация всего, начиная от зомби, кончая перезарядкой оружия.
- музыка и звук, никакие.
- общая унылость геймплея.
Как итог: есть множество игр про зомби интереснее, даже бесплатных. Здесь же всё довольно скучно. Рекомендую выбрать другую игру, а мимо этой пройти с чистой совестью.

i really like this game but it would be a lot better if there were grenades and the prices werent so high but other than that, AWESOME GAME!!!
This is a solid base, but it just doesn't have enough to go on. More fun upgrades, more of a sense of progression, more options ... any of these would help, but instead it just gets repetitive too quickly.

I don't recommend this game, and the main reason there's only one map to play in. It has 40 levels, there should be 40 different levels. Come on devs, stop being lazy.
