Тот же геймплей, как и в первой части: ходим по данжу, ищем ключ, качаемся, лупим босса. Но оружие стало немного разнообразнее, дизайн противников изменился сильно к лучшему, теперь они вполне отличимы друг от друга. Прокачка тоже стала немножко интереснее, в игре качается буквально все. Один большой забег разбили на множество маленьких.

В общем, хороший эволюционный шаг вперед относительно первой части. Играется гораздо приятнее!

The idea of a 3D Wizard roguelite game, and even fast-paced, is something that made me reeeally excited
And even though I had a few hours of fun playthrough, I think it failed for me personally, for my roguelite standards

The game generally feels underpolished - maybe the UI was going for an old-school vibe, but either it didn't fit for me, or there's just something about it that feels underdone.
The battle mechanics themselves seem a little off for this type of game. Maybe the mobs feel spammy, or maybe there's something that lacks about the weapons I'm given. It's hard to fairly compare to Risk of Rain 2 because that one is 3rd-person and not fast-paced, but either way, the fights felt more fun and rewarding, and not like its just spamspamspam

And tbh probably most importantly - the upgrades aren't fun. It's just "this type of weapon will deal N% more damage" or "you will have N% more health". It's not engaging to keep coming back to the levels over and over, if I can barely feel the changes I'm supposed to feel

The weapons aren't that fun - only the hammer with the homing attack was something exciting and that I wanted to explore how to play around with. The other weapons were either too similar to each other, or just not that pleasant to fight with

Overall I feel like the game could've been so much more fun if the action mechanics were a little reworked. In terms of level design - wow, the locations look so cool, and the monsters too. Also, easing into the game for new players should be done much better - I don't want to right away have access to 4 different weapons with 5 stats each, and need to choose when starting the next dungeon. Ofc I can get used to it, but felt rough at the start

A vast improvement on the original game in basically everyway.

Ziggurat 2 if the title of the game wasn't obvious, is the sequel to the Roguelike FPS, Ziggurat. Developed by Milkstone Studios it seemingly takes places after the first game as a new threat has completely annihilated the Brotherhood and now the remnants strive to rebuild and fight back against the threats plaguing the land. The game basically took the basis of the first game, and simply improved and add upon what was there. As simple as that game plan is for a sequel, it does wonders to the gameplay loop making each run far more enjoyable.

The general basis of Ziggurat has been preserved from the first game, you got randomly generated dungeons with multiple rooms, fighting a boss at the end to get to the next floor, and occasionally having a challenge encounter ever few rooms. Enemies drop Exp crystals that allow you to level up and get powerful perks and there is a insane variety of weapons in 4 distinct categories, wand, spell, staff, and alchemy. The main new difference that's introduced in the sequel is the campaign mode. While there are extra modes that are similar to the first game's structure, this new campaign mode gives Ziggurat 2 more of a Roguelite structure. As before starting a run you're given multiple different missions to choose from that list rewards ranging from new weapons, skills, etc. While this type of unlocking new content IS basically the same as the previous game, each level doesn't always demand the insane length that the first Ziggurat did. So you're able to complete shorter runs and gain new items, removing the need to either die or complete a long run to get new stuff to play with. In general you're often just given a lot more freedom of choice with Ziggurat's mechanics, Such as when you level up you get a small boost to health, mana, or barrier/shield, two new systems that act like overheal and regen armor. Oaths allowing you to pick between 2 or more options instead of it being completely luck based. As well as a new accumulative collectable, insight, that's earned at the end of each run, successful or not... usually. that allows you to PERMANENTLY upgrade stats in the campaign. While this is only available in this most it does allow more expressive freedom to how you experience Ziggurat 2. There are also two other "modes" given to the levels, such as horde that is basically one long enemy gauntlet and a version of the normal dungeon format that is completely linear.

Style wise, there has been more of a focus towards a more cartoony/cel-shaded artstyle for the game, instead of the mixture of both that and realistic from the first game. And save for a few of the playable characters, it works out pretty well! As for the environments, thanks to the game not taking place inside just the Ziggurat anymore, there is a much wider variety of locations to have the game randomly generate. From Crystal Caves, to Village Towns, and Egyptian Tombs, even though you'll see familiar room layouts throughout your many, many runs. You'll at least have a lot of variations to look at.

Overall, Ziggurat 2 is simply a bigger and better version of the foundation that Ziggurat layed down, which is pretty common of sequels to be honest. Everything from the gameplay loop being more rewarding given the change to how runs works, with said rewards from runs allowing you to further upgrade yourself, and the increased variety of visuals to play thought, easily makes it stand out from it's predecessor. It's such a shame that Ziggurat 2 released in 2021, as by then the "Retro FPS Renaissance" had already well been on it's course and by that point we've already gotten a ton of Retro FPS Roguelikes. With some having really standout and unique gameplay loops to that, in comparison, makes Ziggurat 2 look pretty plain. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but kinda makes it feel like it's missing some extra "oompf". But hey maybe a "Ziggurat 3" could work on that eh?

If you are going to pick up Ziggurat 2 do not buy it at full price. With how little content the game has it plays more like a demo than a complete product. I feel like this could have been more fun if there was more than 1 tiny map, but the redundancy is just too much. You will always have a handful of missions on the board, some with one stage, some with more, but no matter the name of the quest or how many stages it has, it's always the same mission on the same map. This is a demo in disguise.

Ziggurat 2 is very much in the same spirit as the first game but it builds on it in pretty much every way. It keeps the classic modes from the original like 5 floor style runs and challenge modes like endless run but it also adds a proper story mode which is the highlight of the game.

Starting with the story mode it actually feels like a real one this time. The first game technically had a story but here it is better presented. You now progress through a table style mission map where you choose what kind of run you want to do how long it will be and what rewards you want to unlock at the end. This makes progression feel more meaningful and gives you more control over how you play. As expected the game builds on itself so there are even more upgrades than before which is both good and bad. The variety is great but it still suffers from the same issue as the first game where the larger the upgrade pool gets the harder it is to get the exact upgrades you want for a specific build/run.

Combat is mostly the same as the first game but with some extra additions. You now have a proper loadout system where you choose not only your character but also your starting weapon and a trinket. Weapons have a mastery system so the more you use them the more they level up and unlock new effects over time and the same idea applies to characters as well. Each character now has their own special ability and the overall gameplay feels more fluid thanks to dash like ability.

Overall Ziggurat 2 feels like a more polished and refined version of the first game. It keeps what worked and adds enough new systems to make it feel like a proper sequel.

Вторая часть стана намного лучше первой но увы для меня все ровно это не то. Все чувствуется растянутым, да и не хватает точек респавна(спец руны на полу или люки, норы), порой бесит что враг появился за твоей спеной, Дробление глав на мини данжы я не оценил, лучше чтобы одна глава один данж на мой вкус. Повторюсь игра норм в целом но мне не зашло.

Way too mind-numbing for me to enjoy. At a certain point I felt like I was just progressing in circles, with every unlock simply being another of the same thing with slightly different projectile patterns and particle effects. But if an endless, relatively high speed, roguelike FPS with an accessible unlocks path is your vibe, this game is perfect.

BULLET HELL FPS ROGUELIKE - its like DOOM with a MAGIC TWIST , You shoot FPS style and during levels you upgrade your equipment, abilties and effects. Then you battle a boss.
Its very fast and if you DONT have dodge skills in FPS style your not gonna survive , you have to jump and dash and get behind walls. Think of it like a SHMUP game in 3D with alot of creeps after you and things coming your way.
Some of the weapons you get is a HAMMER with chain lightening, A dragon wand that spit-fire , a shotgun , a freeze spellbook , amulets etc. Well worth the money on the xmas SALE very FUN

Kötü yanları: Bölüm aralarındaki kalıcı seviye artışları yavaş ilerliyor ve çok fazla ödüllendirici de hissettirmiyor. Ve birkaç saatten sonra oyun öngörülebilir hale gelmeye başlıyor.

Bir büyücü oyunu için birçok şey daha eklenebilirdi: combo tuşlamalar ile daha güçlü büyüler yapılabilirdi, perkler daha uçuk olabilirdi, random eventler olabilirdi, çok daha goygoy ve gönderme dolu olabilirdi, bir sürü şey.

Ama tasarımlarını da ÇOK sevdim, özellikle kadın karakterlere bayıldım, Carina ve Kira'yı başka oyunlarda da kullanabilmeyi isterdim. Ve rahatlatıcı bir oyun. Bu yüzden olumlu inceleme bıraktım.

An immaculate gem of a game! Both in the roguelike- and shooter genre!

Totally loving the gameplay loop, the guns are so varied both in animation and feeling, the sounds are also very great and they utilized the engine so well the game just looks amazing.

I love the soundtrack too but everytime you finish a battle the ambient songs restart I think? Which is kind of sad, those are real treasures as well. Sometimes I stand in the great scenery just to enjoy them to the fullest extend.

Сиквел сохраняет core-элементы оригинала, однако, является, своего рода расширением первой части. Для меня подобные продолжения является эталонными сиквелами. Они составляют структуры и механики первой игры, но дополняют их, а также начиняют содержимое большим контентом. Так обстоят дела и здесь.
Помимо классического режима первой игры, тут присутствует полноценная сюжетная линия с последовательной разблокировкой контента в виде оружий, перков и персонажей, что выглядит более логично, чем было в оригинале. Даже завезли катсцены, правда, представляющие собой слайдшоу. У играбельных героев появилась полноценная карточка персонажа с подробными характеристиками. К слову, у героев теперь есть у каждого своя способность, пассивка и перки, относящиеся только к ним, а также у всех них появился дэш. Всё это в совокупности увеличивает динамику боёв, а также разнообразие геймплея, если вы, к примеру, хотите сыграть за другого персонажа. Да и в целом у оружий и амулетов присутствует полноценное описание, так что все нюансы их возможностей подробны и понятны. У оружий и врагов появились разные виды урона и резисты или уязявимости, а у каждого вида также есть свой дополнительный эффект. Враги могут иметь более широкий спектр баффов, например, лечить союзников рядом или постоянно спавнить войска. Треклятые подношения старейшинам заменили на один камень, который на выбор даёт пару опций, каждая из которых содержит 1 бафф и 1 дебафф, поэтому теперь ты можешь хотя бы контролировать процесс выбора (однако, войдя в это меню, обратно уже почему-то не выйти, так что выбрать что-то всё равно придётся). Добавили новую дополнительную комнату на картах, для которой нужно найти три части ключа, разбросанные рандомно по локации, с наковальней, улучшающей оружие, или сундуком. А ещё ввели необязательную челлендж-комнату, где нужно отбить волны врагов, чтобы претендовать на награду. А сами карты теперь имеют свои биомы, например, склеп, пещера, ледяной замок, пирамида и т.д., а их визуал стал на голову насыщенные и залипательнее. Враги тоже претерпели некоторые изменения, появились новые, старые обновились, хотя, к сожалению, их всё равно мало видов и к 10-ому часу все начинают приедаться. А вот пул боссов, наоборот, расширился, однако, выпадают мне постоянно одни и те же, уж не знаю, почему мне так повезло. И, как назло, чаще всего мне спавнят одного из самых сложных боссов в игре Ситру, который оставляет на арене щиты, бесконечно спавнящие врагов. Хотя мне точно так же не везло с модификаторами в комнатах, из-за чего я вечно ломал глаза, когда мне в очередной раз выпадал пиксельный фильтр.
Для оружия теперь есть уровни, которые отличаются уроном, а в кампании вообще добавили мета-прокачку, когда можно, например, навсегда повышать количество маны, здоровья и так далее. Причём за некоторые уровни амулетам, оружию и героям открывают небольшие пассивки. И для меня это стало весьма game-changing, так как по моему мнению это серьёзно поломало всю сложность. Ещё в самом начале я прокачал бонусный опыт и бонусное хп, и на протяжении всего сюжета я вообще не чувствовал какого-либо напряга. К слову, прокачать всё там практически нереально. За одно прохождение я не прокачал и 20% предоставленных мне навыков. Причём по завершении кампании, по заветам всех рогаликов нам дают возможность рестартануть её бесконечное количество раз на повышенной сложности (читай, как нг+ в [url= https://steamcommunity.com/id/quanchisorcerer/recommended/570940?snr=1_5_9__402 ]Dark Souls[/url]), однако, из-за того, что мета-прогресс остаётся нетронутым, никакой сложности я так и не ощутил.

что ж после того как поиграл подольше изменил своё мнение
1-всё 4 босса притом что в 1 части их было в два раза больше
2-идея с элементарным уроном прикольна но у меня несколько раз была такая ситуация что у меня были оружия одной стихии и я из за этого умирал потому что не мог быстро убить мобов с такой же стихией
3-чаше всего я умираю от того что буквально не вижу всех врагов и они просто со спины сносят дофига хп
4-зачем почти всем боссам сделали эту фазу с неуязвимостью ?
5-прокачка прикольная но без её критически не хватает хп а так можно так прокачать урон что можно будет всех с одного удара палочкой убивать
6-идея с сбором ключа вроде прикольная но потом ты начинаешь бегать по всем проеденным комната в поисках последнего кусочка ключа и это становится скучно
(почему блин не сделали отображение того что в пройденой комнате что то осталось)

я после отзыва решил поиграть в 1 части и надаже но там тебя не бьют со всех сторон и даже вполне легко уварачеваться от атак врагов

Its a very fun wizard rogue like game, there is a huge variety of weapons, abilities, stat boosts while carrying multiple weapons at the same all with alternative functions. The maps are all really fun, the puzzles, the bosses and the side objectives all do a good job of making things interesting and isn't feeling repetitive when you engage with the game. However the grind is is way too annoying here, you get so little after a really good run, it doesn't seem that bad at first but you will often ignore the campaign's more difficult levels and grind the easier ones to increase your base stats, and by 20 hours you have seen everything the game has to offer many times over as you finish the campaign. I would recommend using a trainer or some cheat where you can use moderate additional increases to your xp after each run as the grind is too uphill for most people to still be having fun by the time you reach the end of the campaign

TL:DR; Second verse, same as the first- but a little better in every way. classic Doom with wizards and roguelike character building.

I quite liked Zig 1, it blended arena shooter and roguelike mechanics in a surprisingly elegant way early on into the rouge-like boom years. The combat felt good, the meta-progression felt steady and investing, and about the only downside was that it was a very mechanics heavy narrative/theme light experience. you where a wizard on a wizard quest- get to shootin'.

Zig 2 is much the same, but with a few little tweaks here and there to keep the game updated. It has the classic Zig 1 gamemode as well as a kind of campaign comprised of many smaller runs where you can pre-select some starting gear. I think the gameplay works better with the classic mode as the new campaign feels like odd fits and starts where meta progress is quite sluggish.

One thing I genuinely appreciate are all the little quality of life features you have straight out of the gate- skill re-speccing is cheap and always available in the menu. Random run disrupting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is kept to a minimum and at the end of the day the difficulty you play at is the one you find the most fun (and can be changed anytime)

Much like the first the main thing I have to complain about is the story and theming. Both are very generic and almost an paper thin excuse to get the player into the game, and I only bring it up because I believe with a good visual design, and a good narrative behind it this game could be great instead of just good.

Really good. People who say there isn't enough content clearly haven't unlocked everything. The more you play the more biomes are unlocked, the more characters, wands and spells, etc. There is infinite replayabilty and you have different game modes you can switch to instead of just sticking to the campaign.

It can get a bit repetitive, but the smooth gameplay loop, vibrant graphics, and ton of things to unlock keep me coming back. There’s always something new to chase, making it a solid and enjoyable experience overall.

Мне эта игра напоминает Doom Eternal, как если бы он был рогаликом. Очень быстрый шутер с зачисткой комнат, наполненных нечистью. Есть даже местный какодемон, аж 4 вида.

А) Выжить;
Б) Качаться;
В) Собрать ключ для прохода к боссу.[/b]

Концепция стара, как мир, но исполнение шикарное — этим и цепляет. Тут есть и огромный выбор оружия, героев со своими абилками, и разнообразие тех, кого надо убивать, механики уязвимостей/сопротивлений стихиям и различные модификаторы комнат, например, «ностальгия» шакалит экран пикселями, поэтому тебе сложнее попадать по врагам (а им по тебе нет).
Я в восторге, как всё здесь гениально и просто реализовано. Однозначно рекомендую. Скрасит вечера, ещё и аим покачает.

Ziggurat 2 is an amazing fps roguelike, with really fast gameplay and beautifully smooth movement.

And to go a bit into detail, so I played much of the first game, and this game expands upon everything good about the first game, but this doesn't feel like DLC, this is a whole new game, and this game is better than the first game.

There are countless unlocks in this game, and the progression system is simple, but brilliant! I am honestly shocked that the devs managed to make this sequal as good as it is, like honestly this is like a 10/10 game. if you can pick up ziggurat 2, i reccomend this for people who like first person shooters with fast gameplay, and nice smooth crisp movement and then the roguelike elements are just so damn fun.

this game is really really good, definitely go put it on your wishlist now, but go pick it up when you see the next steam sale, and until then i reccomend selling some trading cards or cs:go guns;,, lol..

El primer Ziggurat era un buen FPS/roguelike pero está secuela ¡Es simplemente fenomenal!

Para quienes no sepan de que va es como un Heretic o Amid Evil con elementos Roguelite, vaz desbloqueando nuevos personajes, armas y ventajas conforme avanzas la historia, la jugabilidad es buena y rapida como todo buen retro shooter, los gráficos son super coloridos y en lo personal me agrado la mayoría de la dirección de arte en general así como su música.

Se nota mucho que los desarrolladores le pusieron gran esmero ya que incluso casi no me tope con bugs en todas las horas que pase al sacarle el 100%. Si tuviera que comentar algunos aspectos negativos la verdad serían pocos, como por ejemplo que los enemigos tienen un aimbot muy exagerado y el diseño de las arenas más grandes es un tanto fastidioso, pero bueno, es algo con lo que se puede lidiar.

終わらない単調作業、押し寄せてくる眠気
君はいつギブアップするか！？

本作は分類上はローグライトのFPSですが、あまりローグライトって感じじゃないです
部屋ごとに敵を全滅する、オブジェクトを破壊するといった条件があり
それを達成するとクリアで、別の部屋に行けるようになる、といったゲーム

好きなステージを選んでクリアを三回繰り返すと、次のチャプターに移行するので、
また三つクリアする、と、それをずーっと繰り返す感じです
攻略に一面30分程度。ローグライトなので、当然強化は毎回リセット

上手くハマれば、素晴らしいゲームになったんだろうけど、残念！
全クリまでやるのは、正直苦痛すぎる！
なにせ、マップはほとんど同じのばかり、武器も正直似たり寄ったり
差といえば、まっすぐ飛ぶか、誘導するか、放物線を描くかぐらい
永続アップグレードは、基礎能力を上げるものだけという味気なさ
ボスの種類も多くはないので、同じ奴とひたすら戦うことに

そして何より、敵を全滅させる以外の条件にクソなのがあります
それは、無制限に敵が湧く中、四つのスイッチを正しい順番で押すというもので
バカ広いマップを走り回って運ゲするという、アホらしいことをやらされます
制作者は何を考えてこんなのを作ってしまったのか……
部屋のクリア条件がこれのたびに、このゲーム買ったことを後悔するレベル

遊べないゲームではないですが、忍耐力がある人以外、
このゲームのクリアは困難でしょう
ちなみに自分も十時間ほどプレイしてますが、まだクリアできてないんだぜ……？
精神修業がしたい人にお勧め

캐주얼하고 스피디한 일인칭 로그라이크 게임.
쉬지 않고 움직이며 아이템을 파밍하는 아레나형 전투라는 점에서 둠 시리즈와 비슷하다.

아쉬운 점은 단순한 게임성에 반복되는 전투 양상 및 장비 때문에 쉽게 질리고 증강의 효과와 해당 증강 선택시 증가하는 능력치가 매칭되지 않는 경우가 많아 효과적으로 캐릭터를 강화하긴 어렵다. (예: 부가 능력치는 완드의 마나를 늘려주지만 증강은 스테프 무기에 관한 것일 경우)

Ziggurat 2 es un FPS roguelike clasico, haremos run de entre 10-30 minutos en mapas divididos por pisos y, entre run y run, iremos desbloqueando armas nuevas, amuletos, personajes nuevos (con sus propias habilidades) y ganando puntos de maestria que usaremos para subir de nivel habilidades pasivas.

Ahora bien ¿Que ofrece Ziggurat 2 que no ofrezcan ya los cientos de roguelikes del mismo tipo? Pues una muy buena jugabilidad que se asemeja a la de un boomer shooter, un control muy fluido y pulido, una estetica y tematica muy original (¡magos!), una muy buena cantidad de armas (60) siendo muchas de estas muy originales y distintivas y un gameplay muy divertido y adictivo.

Conclusión: Si te gustan los rogue likes, los FPS, los boomer shooters o la estetica, este juego te va a encantar, recomendado al 100%.

Very interesting - and kinda flawed in many tiny ways.
Ziggurat 2 is a game I remember finishing back then, but peeking at my savegames, I only did so on easy difficulty. Replaying it even just for a while, I immediately know why. I have a LOT of hours in this game, and yet I just can't recommend it. There's something frustrating about it. Maybe it's the way you constantly run out of mana, when trying to use your weapons especially on the first floors, maybe it's the weird anemic game feel due to missing enemy reactions (all you usually get is a health bar going down. One that's often enough a bit too big as well), or the amount of attacks coming your way almost constantly with little visual clarity, making dodging an exhausting affair. Maybe it's the fact that boss fights have a habit of passively spamming adds to flood the arena (which tempts you into wasting your precious mana.) You'll get more through drops - after spending it to try and thin the herds, which means the boss itself doesn't get damaged. Frustrating.

And to be honest, I think it's all of those factors combining, for me. The game runs super well, looks good, and plays smoothly. But it's constantly poking your side while you play it. I really wish I liked it more, and I am aware that this genre is really hard to nail, but I still can't recommend it in good faith.

非常好的遊戲
通靈塔二算是非常快節奏的遊戲不過平衡也做得很好每個對手都有不同的攻擊方式跟抗性遊戲也做得很認真能從物品或者故事的字裡行間看得出遊戲的世界觀跟製作組的用心
微roguelike 以及非常快速的戰鬥遊戲也不會搞太多複雜的東西就直接給你加傷害加防禦加攻速不用去管甚麼奇怪的效果連動
真要說缺點就是遊戲的隨機性太大比如開場的武器配置這在後面武器蒐集滿的時候會很明顯感受到玩不到自己想要的
以及敵人的投射物會在某些環境極其不顯眼

A very unique blend of genres - a roguelike first person shooter with wizardry shenanigans. While there are some downsides (like no quick moving across rooms outside of combat, or unbalanced weapons), the game is still a solid 8/10 and worth the money if you like this genre.

Канва истории проста как мир – две группировки магов не пришли к консенсусу, поссорились и устроили тотальный апокалипсис. Зиккурат, в котором содержались опасные монстры, используемые для тестирования достойных колдунов, сломался, и орда чудищ хлынула в мир. Теперь мы должны разгрести бардак и устранить Тёмного Лорда. Попутно с этим мы будем вербовать новых героев, открывать разнообразное оружие, разбитое по четырём категориям, собирать амулеты, получать доступ к навыкам внутри забега и прокачивать пассивные бонусы общего прогресса.

У каждого персонажа есть персональный, активный навык и особенности, которые зачастую определяют стиль игры. Прокачка общего прогресса осуществляется путём прокачки мастерства персонажей, оружия и амулетов. Это самое мастерство также открывает дополнительные бонусы и особенности.

Кампания выстроена простенько – пройди пару побочных заданий – откроется доступ к основному, после чего повтори действия несколько раз, но это как-то даже не напрягает. Продолжительность и сложность (которую можно выбрать от несложной прогулки до подрыва пятой точки) с каждым выполненным основным заданием нарастает, не давая заскучать.

Мультяшный стиль хорошо подходит разнообразным локациям (от заброшенных поселений и ледяных пещер, до мрачных замков и жарких пирамид), но поначалу кажется излишне детализированным. Пока не привыкнешь к стилю, часто не воспринимаешь монстров на общем фоне за опасность, что чревато, ибо сражения в игре динамичные и атакуют монстры весьма резко. Сами визуальные модели чудовищ и героев приятны глазу и содержат много деталей, женские персонажи не обезображены повесткой. К монстрам и боссам можно было бы придраться, сказав, что многие из них это просто другая шкурка с разными уязвимостями и сопротивлениями… но я не буду придираться, потому что бешеные морковки просто тащат, их красные копии перчики взрываются при смерти, а фиолетовые дубликаты редиски разбрызгивают всюду зловонную жижу!

Кроме кампании можно поиграть в классическом стиле первой части или погрузиться в бесконечное подземелье, для любителей соревноваться с другими игроками есть ежедневное испытание и таблица лидеров, а ещё можно устроить себе бой с бесконечными волнами врагов. Иными словами, дополнительные активности имеются, но лично мне больше всего понравилось проходить кампанию.

Резюме: достойный магический арена-шутер с кампанией, глобальным прогрессом и элементами рогалика.

I guess if you like the first part, you'd like the second one. For me the game became too repetitive too quickly. Developers have done a lot to make it more visually pleasing, but then all those backgrounds are completely empty, it doesn't feel like there's any life to it.
I'd like to see the game do more with it.

A surprisingly fun and addictive roguelite FPS that uses magic instead of typical rifles and pistols. A lot of weapon/spell variety and a game that actually feels right be regularly switching between weapons to keep the flow of battle going. Super fast movement and enough playmodes to keep things fresh while respecting your time via multiple options for session playlength and challenge level.

The UI is a bit dated and, IMHO is a major part of why this game didn't quite make the splash that I think it deserves. The UI isn't bad, just a little behind the times. Once you get used to where everything is in the UI, then you don't notice it anymore really.

Meta-progression is very much tied to just playing more and more with each weapon/spell/hero, etc. You unlock tiers of special stats and abilities as you use stuff. You also have a modest tree to put points in after runs. Enough meta progression to reward your play with more of what you're enjoying.

The art style is VERY generic and, along with the aforementioned AI, is where it feels like the budget shows. I'm fine with it. But I wonder what this would look like if made today with more $$$. What we have here is more than enuf to keep you blasting for hours and hours. So worth.

very enjoyable, takes a second to figure out how to dodge anything, but it is possible in most cases, which is nice.

Improved on the first in every way.

I played it pretty frenetically and it allowed me, which was nice. You could play this a little slower paced but I wouldn't recommend.

Enemies still have a bit to much health unless you spec into damage. My only gripe. Sometimes it feels like you aren't doing any damage. The upgrade of 25% damage for 25% health is definitely worth it.

Mejora muchas cosas en comparacion del primero:
+Como la dificultad: Los enemigos hacen daño equilibrado, pero los jefes tienen buenos patrones de ataque y muchos, son innevitables, pero no te matan del todo.
+El diseño de niveles es random, pero son como 2, 0 5 dependiendo de la torre. Para hacerlo entretenido por cortos periodos.
+La exploracion, no es tan abrumadura como el primero, pero uno se queda con las ganas.
+Hay mas personajes para seleccionar.
+Cada vez que avanzas de nivel de personaje, puedes elegir ventajas/desventajas muy bien balanceadas.
-Quizas lo negativo, es que se sienta muy similar al primero. Pero por mi, lo perdono.

Unfortunately feels incredibly lacking and repetitive with the same bells and whistles of a free to play mobile game. The screen constantly flashes pop ups at you and opening chests provides the momentary anticipation of opening a gacha pull or loot crate.
I remember enjoying the first Ziggarut game but the successor doesn't hold up, possibly because of it's significantly short dungeons or perhaps because the game hasn't moved on since 2014.

Some problems of note
- All the weapons feel bad to use. They're all too similar and don't lean into their own whimsical nature as magic weapons. Almost everything fires magical "bullets", and those might home, scatter or explode, but nothing extravagant or goofy.
- 4 hours of gameplay led me to fighting the same three bosses over and over at the end of each floor. This would actually matter less if they didn't make a big show and deal of it everytime you ran into one, giving me a solid 10 seconds to contemplate why I'm here again in a very lazy cutscene.
- Lots of rooms feel cramped, especially compared to the original game. This is not because the rooms are smaller in Ziggurat 2, but because they're now overdesigned with more verticality and clutter.

A very underrated rogue-lite FPS in which you play as a mage battling hordes of creatures across randomly generated dungeons. There are 12 playable characters, over 60 weapons, 200+ perks and decent amount of meta-progression between the runs. It is fast paced, has charming (colourful) stylised graphics, responsive "gunplay" and good character control. Honestly, I can't think of any negatives other than the game (like all in this genre) becoming repetitive after first 30-40h.

It is better than original in every aspect and I don't think you'll be missing out much if you decide to skip it (although the first game is also really good). Ziggurat 2 is easily one of my favourite rogue-lite FPS games on Steam and I recommend it to anyone looking for a fun shooter.

It’s a lean, mean, wand-wielding machine—a sequel that refines its predecessor’s formula without losing the charm and chaos that made the original a cult favorite.

The heart of Ziggurat 2 is fast-paced, twitchy combat. Think DOOM meets Hexen, but with more wands and fewer bullets. Each run sends you through a randomized dungeon filled with deadly rooms, hordes of enemies, and explosive boss fights. Weapons range from mystical staves and alchemical bombs to bizarre arcane contraptions that turn combat into a fireworks show.

Combat is satisfyingly responsive. Movement is fluid, enemy variety keeps you on your toes, and dodging fireballs while launching lightning orbs never stops being fun. The magic-focused arsenal is diverse and constantly evolving, with perks and upgrades adding serious replay value.

Unlike many roguelites that throw you back to square one on death, Ziggurat 2 features a smart persistent progression system. As you level up, you unlock new characters, spells, perks, and weapon types that expand your loadout for future runs. This makes death feel like growth rather than punishment.

Character classes play differently, too—some are tanky warlocks, others nimble alchemists. Each one offers unique passive abilities and loadouts, giving you multiple paths to victory.

Visually, Ziggurat 2 is a major leap from its predecessor. The game runs on Unreal Engine 4, and while it retains a stylized, colorful aesthetic, the updated lighting, textures, and effects make each dungeon room feel alive. Magic attacks explode with flair, enemy designs are grotesquely whimsical, and bosses have an imposing presence.

It’s not AAA-polish, but for an indie roguelite, the presentation is polished, clean, and optimized well for smooth performance—even in chaotic moments.

The sound design does its job well: each spell sounds distinct and punchy, while enemy grunts and magical chimes give the chaos a satisfying rhythm. The soundtrack is appropriately gothic-fantasy, though it rarely stands out—it sets the tone, but doesn't quite elevate it.

Ziggurat 2 doesn’t aim to break the roguelite mold—but it polishes it to a high shine. It’s an accessible, replayable, and thoroughly enjoyable experience for fans of fast-paced shooters, fantasy settings, and chaotic magic combat. While it could use a bit more variety in environments and a deeper story hook, the core gameplay loop is addicting enough to keep you coming back for just one more run.

An arcane adrenaline rush that nails its niche—more wand-blasting fun than ever.

This is one of the best roguelite-arena-FPS hybrids on Steam these days. I don't think it even has some real competitors in this niche.

Basically, this game grows on the already perfect foundation Ziggurat 1 established. Now there is a long campaign with meta-progression in addition to classic modes. The same old good FPS-arena mayhem with a Heretic/Hexen vibe and cool, juicy visuals.

Very addictive, but at first it may seem bland and boring because Ziggurat 2 gets better and better the more stuff you unlock. And there are tons of unlockables here. Different weapons, amulets, heroes, and skills are acquired after every run, and each one of those impacts the game and changes the feel.

I've spent 100 hours with Ziggurat 2 (completing the campaign two times and then getting all achievements), and I was never bored (maybe a little bit at the very beginning due to reasons I described above).

Has some great rogue-like elements but ultimately suffers from feeling too same-ey between runs. There are no unique item interactions with character upgrades, everything is just incremental stat boosts. Needs item interactions like Binding of Isaac or some other rogue likes in this vein to keep stuff interesting and fun.
