I use to love this compilations.
A collections of Zaccaria tables on top of many versions of those titles was super fun.

But seeing they been using GenAI to create arts and assistants for their latest tables; very disappointing.
I no longer recommend this title nor supporting Magic Pixel.

I think this is the best pinball game. While I really like the Williams tables in Pinball FX, I've been playing Zaccaria a lot more. I like the variety of table types (old school; semi old school; modern; deluxe; etc.); their tournaments; and the more realistic sounds and visuals.

I understand people being upset about the use of AI for some of the artwork. But based on the quality of the game itself, Zaccaria is an excellent pinball game.

Love the games but it is absolutely ridiculous how hard it is to find and purchase table on this planform. Steam has one main job. Sell the blood ,sweat and tears of developers to the public for a profit and they’ve managed to make buying dlc so difficult I generally end up bagging it before too long.

love the simple game play of the tables quit easy to work out on each table what you have to do to unlock the best scores. The tables are all fun to play with the family and all reasonable prices .there is also so much to do from playing with the family to online tournaments and not just high score there is also other tournaments to many to mention .

Cool game. The visuals and the sound are great and there are plenty of unlockables. I just don't understand how trial mode works.

It depends on the table but sometimes I am allowed to play like 5 minutes and other times I'm kicked out at 16 seconds. That's wack af. Every table should give the player, at the very least, 3 minutes of playtime.

The UI is extremely chaotic, btw.

So, this is another item on the list of "Games I tried on the Switch before grabbing on Steam"

I have to state that Zaccaria is an acquired taste. The tables make a lot of... choices. Yes... choices are made with these tables. A good chunk of which you do not see really outside of a couple of Zaccaria tables. Making this seem like an experimental outsider art type deal. It isn't outsider art, though

I did not enjoy the various Zaccaria tables at first. I eventually started playing them to act as practice for various bonus rounds and smaller bits on various other Pinball games out there, that I would have stated were better designed. I'm not certain if I would still state that. Acquired Taste and all that

This collection kind of suffers from "lack of players on the score boards"--which means if you jump in you could very likely get a decent high score. Until you know, there is a large enough player base that the actually decent ones can actually be present adding their own scores

The game has some customisation options that act as a per table type basis. If there is a way to change the "universal defaults" I've not ran into it. I would recommend changing the ball to "the light ball" to get a better idea of _where_ the ball is located on the playfield. Just as a bit of an ease of use functionality. Think like how Pinball M has the ball trail feature... reminds me of the old "Mouse Trails" functionality on older GUIs to help figure out where the cursor is on the screen. I miss "Mouse Trails"--now I just have to deal with having lost the mouse constantly--like some kind of technological T-Rex or something like that

I remember when I was younger, making pinball table mock ups on the inside of pizza boxes with crayons/pens/markers... Father stating that a bunch of stuff was completely fine with Pinball. At that point in time I had mostly only seen a couple pinball tables, as well as various MSDOS Pinball "Simulators" (using that term loosely). Now that I've played Zaccaria, I've learned that Father was not full of crap--like I had thought he was at the time

I was under the impression that this collection was mostly to act as a museum for educational and informative purposes. However, this version--with its really sketchy "use of AI declaration" has me asking, "uh... are we just reviving this brand?". I mean... I'm not against that. Zaccaria has a foothold on the Switch, here on Steam and in the AtGames Legends ecosystem. Have yet to play the Postal tables--but I'm kind of excited to do that. Still... part of the charm with Zaccaria is the Napoleon Dynamite-esque artwork, and "weird side of van Murals" art style stuff as well. Like... I kind of like that it is janky--but only if it is a human making that jank. If it is the plagurism machines making it... well... seems kind of a bit pointless at that point, don't it?

Still, despite making a frownie face at Zaccaria over their suss looking AI Usage message... the tables present here are definitely enjoyable. Well... once you've gotten the acquired taste for the sort of tables. Then they are somehow extra rewarding

I bought the entire library without first try few tables only based on good reviews but I regret doing that. U play this in VR and it is so laggy and stuttering that makes it impossible to play without constantly loosing balls. It freezes also for several seconds... what is happening? Is this freezing normal? I have a Ryzen 9850x3d, 32 GB of Ram and a AMD 9070ti video card. I do not think my system is the bottleneck here..... Unplayable..... also old tables with not much happening on the screen. A quick search in google and revealed I am not the only one experiencing this. Abount time you Fix IT once and for all with an update!!!!!!! Make it easier to play smoothly and less buggy!!!!!

Edit: Ended up being the new motherboard from Gygabite that was faulty. It was replaced and all run smoothly. Also I changed my internet Cable plan from 50 Mb/sec to 1000 Mb/sec. I believe the slower internet also was playing a big part. Now all runs perfectly and not stuttering at all at ultra high graphic settings..... not even minimal. This Zaccaria emulation is fantastic but I think people needs a fast internet connection and a pretty damn good Harware.

5 stars this collection for sure.

I have the game on Xbox and I really like it. Bought it for the Steam Deck, along with some tables and it works well. Lots of customisation. You have to be careful with parameters…….. don’t set it to low fixed fps thinking you will improve the load on the system because if you do throttle it, you will get flipper lag. Best to set it to default. I also noted that if playing alternatively between PC and Steam Deck then it retains the settings for whichever controller you last used which can cause problems. Oh and one more thing it won’t boot up on my Mac M4 ( not that I intended to use it on Mac, just trying) despite it being advertised as being Mac compatible.

I played 2 games. In both games, my last ball disabled the flippers. In both games the delay between pressing for a flipper and it moving was outrageously long, more than half a second. There are also an insane number of menus. Oh, and the game wants you to be synced with their servers whenever you play. The physics were good. The quality of the graphics was good. The sound was fine. But the delay in flipper action alone was enough to make me give this a thumbs down and erase it from my Steam library.

Another game I hate. LOL This game should be called "The Time Machine". I start playing this game and then look at the clock and a few hours have passed by. Seriously, this game is a blast!!! Cant get enough of it. I think the longest session was 10 hours. Yeah you read that right. I looked at the timer and it was just over 10 hours. This game I personally think is the best in its genre.

I love the table variety: Recreations of old EM and Solid State Pinball machines, completely new interpretations of old table with their remakes, the new EM+ tables, the Deluxe tables and the retro tables. They all play differently.

The new tournament features and the quests are great.

Another highlight is the possibility to change all kind of light settings, whether it is the environmental light or the table lights. Also you can customise camera settings, physics, bumper and slingshot strength and so much more.

Et ben, par où commencer pour dire que c'est de la merde .. ha tout est dit déjà.

On a tout plein de flipper mais tous sont payant. En pleine partie le jeu se coupe, on peut jouer que moins d'une minute par flipper .. autant dire qu'en ayant joué 2 minutes sur 2 flippers, on est déjà obligé de désinstaller le jeu. Dommage, il avait l'air bien, mais faut payer le moindre flipper virtuel donc ... sans moi. Fuyez parce que quand on lit les avis, c'est remplis de bug. Moi je ne donne pas un centime sur un jeu aussi brouillon (trop de choses dans le menu on ne comprend rien !)

This is a great game (I don't mind the AI content), and the content is updated frequently. I've bought ever single table and have been playing for a few years. But the developers need to fix a few bugs that have popped up since the game came out of early access. VR mode no longer works if the game is in cabinet mode--a problem for those of us that play on cabinets and also in VR. The game also doesn't boot up in Bazzite. Not sure if it works on SteamOS. But otherwise awesome game

Super sur un Pincab 3 écrans avec Backglass et DMD. Dommage que le "massage" du fiipper fasse trembler l'ecran au lieu d'agir sur la boule seule (même soucis sur la serie Pinbal FX et jamais reglée depuis des années). Pas besoin d'une config de fou ça tourne tres bien avec un i7 de plus de 10ans couplé à une GTX1070. Je n'ai pas testé la partie VR

Zaccaria Pinball used to be great? What the hell happened?
Well Magic Pixel had the bright idea to swap out their art on most of their original tables to AI Art. Why? Who the hell knows. They already had perfectly good art. It also brings into question some other choices they made.
For example, they censored the art on Farfalla (probably to ensure it can release on Switch) this is all well and good, but then you see the art on Wood's Queen EM+ and you realize they either really didn't need to do that, or whoever made the decision to use the AI art put just as little thought in when using that as well.
And it just sucks cos the physics in this are great, the recreations of classic Zaccaria machines are great. Then you get to their originals like EM+ and are just assaulted with a barrage of AI slop. For a brand like Zaccaria which has absolutely beautiful artwork, it's hurts to see. I wish there was a way to take back the money I gave them a while ago for this, cos yes, the machines that they added AI art did not launch with AI art. And it seems they're going all in on their new tables here on out, ;with Winter Sports both having AI generated art and an AI generated layout (or so I hear) Seriously Magic Pixel, get your act together.

I was too short to play actual pinball back in the day of 'mods 'n' rockers.'
Then 40 years on the console, emulator and, with it the highly authentically,
reproduced pinball table scene. Now we can own the digital versions of these tables
for pennies. Still , the experts and afficinados will have strong opinions on the physics
and game play side of things. Not me. I'm just here to have fun. And fun it is.

There are things i really love about this game. I like that you can walk around the table. the online is a lot of fun. Lots of classics but UNFORTUNATELY I can no longer support this game due to the heavy use of AI generative images. As an artist I find this very disappointing. I love pinball. Pinball machines are a work of art, but once you slap on AI generative images it looses its soul. I don't care if you're a small team. Hire a real artist to join the team and feature their work. Imagine being able to say 'and real human art by...' on your machines.

Hi,
played Zaccaria since the first early access versions. Liked the tables alot and the style the table selection was made. Now since the last updates the game was totally destoyed. No Table looks like it did before. Nore do they feel like they did before. The menu is terrible. Performance in VR seems to be terrible again.
Everything feels loveless. The Tables all look like theyre made by AI. I wish they would see and feel the mistakes they made and are still making like i do. Zaccaria was a good Pinball Simulation before. But now its ... I dont know what this is now. Produce Quality again, not quantity.

As a pinball simulator, Magic Pixel delivered a great experience. The physics feel good, and the light effects are realistic. The replicated Zaccaria tables from the 70s and 80s are excellent. The retro tables are infuriatingly challenging but in the way you come back for more (I wish/hope Magic Pixel uses this system to recreate some real WWII era tables). The "remake" and "deluxe" tables feel like an attempt to copy Pinball FX's remakes of 90s tables; these are more miss than hit as satisfying tables. The Primal Carnage tables are generally fun, and the zombie addon was more fun than I expected. The menus are not controller friendly, and I have to use a mouse if I want to read table rules while using a game pad. The tournament system has me logging in every day to try and set a top score. Grab this game for accurate and exciting retro pinball--especially tables that are difficult to find in arcades today.

Ich hatte bisher nur Zen pinball VR auf Meta Quest 3 gespielt. Für die im Vergleich zu PC schwache Hardware der Quest sind die Resultate hervorragend. Allerdings ist die Grafik und Ballphysik in Zaccaria VR next level. Ich bin begeistert. Update nach zahlreichen Stunden, in denen ich das Spiel gespielt habe: es ist weiterhin hervorragend und insbesondere die täglichen Quests für immer wechselnde Tables motivieren sehr. Die schlechten Bewertungen der letzten Zeit kommen fast ausschließlich von KI Hassern, die davon träumen , das Rad der Zeit zurückdrehen zu können. Top game!

This Pinball game is very enjoyable and worth it for people who are already familiar with ZEN pinball.
It offers a wide range of tables and good extrinsic rewards to keep you coming back to tables you don´t think about.
The physics are a bit too bouncy and sometimes the ball does not fall into holes even though you hit the shot, but all in all it is GOOD pinball game with a unique identity.

It does not reach the quality of FX but prices are a fraction of theirs and us digital Pinball fans can hope that both companies are here to stay.

First off, I do want to say I understand people's feelings on the A.I. art on what is now a majority of the tables. Even as I don't hate A.I. but also think it's being used in pretty awful and lazy ways, I'm not going to contend with the many valid views and arguments there are against it, or the ones that are just blind flailing, for separate reasons. But, like it or not, it it does represent a majority of what you will be looking at if you get the sum total of tables the game has, which are all pretty fantastic to play.

I've been looking at real and digital pinball playfields for about 35 years now, and the A.I. art here achieves it's own sort of uncanny valley. Most of the tables are fine, art wise, some of them are weird, especially those where there are floor targets that are supposed to match up with some art asset and are clearly off-set from what we actually get.

HOWEVER. The developers have provided in-game tools to replace the art as you see fit, and while I haven't gone out of my way to do so yet myself, I'm sure someone has been creatively angry enough to come up with their own art for the tables out there, or even restore the art that had been on a lot of the tables once upon a time.

ALSO. All of the real tables that the O.G. Zaccaria pinball company actually made have all of their original, 100% human drawn art and all the jank that went with the tables' respective era. It was always jank, we just have a new kind now.

As for the tables themselves? There isn't a better suite out there. Forget ZEN. Arcade trash. Which is sad because they are the license holders of some of the best tables in history.

I digress.

You have every possible era of pinball represented here: OG Boardwalk impossible tables, the slightly moderen EM tables, The subtle flavors of Solid State progression, The modern digital era, the retro EM, the 'grandma got this at Walmart because she remembered you liked the vidya' era. I don't know what other flavor of pinball they could add except pachinko, plinko, those things you used to get in Cracker Jack when it didn't suck, and Wonderful Waterfuls (for anyone that needed an age verification).

And they all play beautifully, reactively, and you don't need $4k in computer hardware to make it look good or run smooth. I've played this on an eight year old Acer Nitro 5, a 2060ti, and higher grade hardware. You may not get full ray tracing on old hardware, but it will still be a fantastic play. It sort of feels like the natural torch receiver from the old Pinball Arcade from Farsight. The room got shinier, the tables all changed, but the same level of love for real tables is in there.

Looks and plays great in VR. Massive library of tables that pretty much cover every era of pinball. I really love the amount of adjustability in the table and environment lighting effects. My current go to for PCVR pinball.

So this pinball game, which looks really nice, only lets you play "trial mode" on some of the tables, and won't let you play many of the others due to "buy now." Trial mode, I tested it, I think it lets you play one 3 ball game, then stops your ball progress on the second game. Again, it looks nice, but the problem with offering a free game is that players should actually be able to *PLAY* the game at some level, not just once. Come on, that's just dumb. Uninstalled.
