"White Mirror" is another passing project from a domestic indie developer. The game has nothing to do with the cult TV series "Black Mirror", despite the name, and rather resembles a parody of the mobile game Eyes. But if there was an atmosphere of tension in "Eyes", collecting bags of money, constant updates and the disclosure of lore, then there is nothing here.
The player controls a character who must enter an ancient mansion in search of an artifact. But don't expect anything interesting (although the "moral" echoes Dark Egypt). Three puzzles, a few levers, and the game is over. The dungeons are poorly executed, and the quality of the contents of the house itself leaves much to be desired.
I didn't find any critical bugs, but the game still crashes after loading saves after death. Although I have never managed to die in this "masterpiece". And I think you shouldn't talk about the "quality" of this product if after 5 minutes you stupidly don't remember anything from the passage.

Another badly translated and buggy mess of a horror game made with the crash prone FPS Creator engine. While not completely terrible what from I could see, any fun to be had was instantly replaced with frustration. I spent more time fighting the games crashes and bugs to simply get through the 30mins of gameplay this game offers. I like to give all devs a chance but this is genuinely borderline unplayable. Skip at all costs, its not worth it.

Das Spiel ist kurz und das ist das einzig gute daran. Geprägt wurde meine Spielerfahrung durch sehr viele Abstürze, langweilige Rätsel (gefühlt immer das gleiche) und einer Story, die wirklich schlecht ist.

Not good. You play as a guy who's looking for a mirror on a cellar of and old house, which by itself is an interesting plot. But the challenges in the house are mostly finding keys to unlock locked doors. The translation is really bad. Stuff like the character sitting instead of crouching. It kills the mood. There are some nice jumpscares, and sometimes the ambience is tense, but it gets boring fast.
I didn't have any crashes like many reviewers did, but I just didn't have any will to play more.

This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Using assets in this way is fine. In fact, using pre-made assets to make your game is also fine, as long as your game is actually playable. If you've ironed out any glitches, created some nice atmospheric effects, and your characters and NPCs work in harmony, then there's no reason you shouldn't market your game.
However, just throwing a bunch of assets together that don't work, or simply renaming a demo intended as a foundation, in order to just make a game quickly and then market it with no thought, is when asset flipping becomes a nefarious practice.
Basically, there is nothing wrong with using or buying a pre-built asset to use in games.

Since you don't need any programming knowledge to use GameGuru and it's just a graphical interface (GUI), you can't really call it a development.
GDNomaD also didn't mention in any way that GameGuru assets were used here and are therefore "sold as their own creation", which it simply isn't.
Sure, the game costs just under $1 and even less when it's on sale, and since there are trading cards, some players buy the game for that very reason. The masses make the profit and for no real work put in, every amount raised is a profit for GDNomaD, which should not be supported.

The first 4 attempts to start ended in a crash. There is no menu and no setting options. Neither for graphical options let alone mouse or keyboard settings. Here too, the sensitivity has to be done via the DPI control of the mouse and the standard key assignment has to be used, which I absolutely hate.
There is no explanation of what exactly they are and so without testing you don't know that, for example, the left shift key is for faster running. Some of the required ones are explained in the game, but it still shows that everything is reduced to the bare minimum and there was actually no interest in developing a good game.
If you still really want to play it, I advise you to save the game continuously because it keeps crashing. Preferably when loading. I can't even say exactly how long the game will last because of all the crashes and AFK.

Asset flips from Gameguru have no value as serious games for gamers.
Let's be clear, GameGuru is a completely godawful construction kit. If you try to take it seriously as a game, you'll find no resolution or graphics tweaks, no controller tweaks... it's horribly optimised and will be sluggish even on high end rigs.
You can make the argument that GameGuru exists to just make demos and little experimental games to pass around with friends, but that's not what's happened here... the Russian developer is seriously trying to scam people into paying money for this construction kit copy+paste asset flip. That's not okay!
Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only happened once, around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards.
White Mirror is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 9,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.

I found out that you cannot complete this game. It breaks at a certain point and I tried everything I could think of from starting a new save, verifying broken game files (of which every launch broke more), running in compatibility modes
Unfortunately because of that it's a hard pass from me unless you're really curious on digging for fixes to beat an effectively abandoned game

Trash game.
El juego tiene una estetica visual MUY similar al Thief, realmente es muy buena, buenos graficos, excelente ambientacion.
La trama es algo limitada, pero te genera cierto estado de alerta porque obviamente sabes que esto es un juego de suspenso/terror aunque no sabes bien como se van a dar los acontecimientos, simplemente te echas a jugar e intentar no morirte (y hay algunas etapas de tension y susto que parecen que te dejan cerca de la muerte pero nunca es el caso).
El juego es muy corto pero la propuesta se disfruta, segun el desarrollador va a haber una secuela (algo que en 6 años no ocurrio y desde hace 3, que el desarrollador dejo de publicar Juegos).
Creo que para gente fanatica de el terror y de la estetica mas retro vale la pena solo como algo casual claramente.

крайне короткая и не интересная игра
Leider kann ich dieses Spiel nicht empfehlen. Es ist quasi keinerlei Stimmung vorhanden. Die Sounds wirken deplatziert und plump. Die Schreckmomente sind quasi non-existent. Das Spiel ist wahnsinnig kurz, was nicht schlimm gewesen wäre, wenn es irgendeine Stimmung erzeugt oder eine sinnvolle Geschichte erzählt hätte, aber alles wirkte sehr undurchdacht.
Hra se na konci druhého levelu nenačte do levelu třetího (vstup do sklepa), vždycky při načítání spadne, takže nemůžu doporučit.

Ужасный недодел, от разработчика - что клепает игры одним мизинцем. И все ради продаж. Ему не важны пользователи - ведь они все равно найдутся.
Вот и я слуайно приобрел этот "шедевр" - в связи с чем не рекомендую его для остальных пользователей Steam.
Ведь в игре на 20 минут, Вас ждут:
1. Английский. А точнее не правильный английский. А все для чего? Правильно - для обхвата публики!
2. Пара скримеров. Которые даже не пугают. А точнее заставили испугаться только Куплинова.
3. Ужасная корридорность. Маленькие уровни в две двери - в которых можно просто идти вперед и вы прошли игру.
4. Тупая задачка. Она одна на всю игру, но повторяется трижды.
5. Счастливый Куплинов - что расхваливал данный "шедевр" на своих стримах. Плюс бонусом - его картинка в игре. Видимо чемоданчик зашёл..
6. Частые вылеты
7. Просадки fps на уровнях с водой.
8. Отсутствие финала.

Ein Jäger von magischen Artefakten macht sich in einem Haus, das keinen guten Ruf hat, auf die Suche nach einem magischen Spiegel, der das Böse beherbergen soll. Mehr weiß er nicht, so betritt er das Haus, findet Nachrichten des letzten Besitzers und da es schon sehr spät ist, beschließt er, sich erstmal schlafen zu legen. Nach halbwegs durchwachter Nacht - und es ist schon wieder Nacht, (wie das ?) - beginnt die Suche nach dem ominösen Spiegel...
Das Spiel ist mit unter 1 Std. recht kurz und außerdem kein grafischer Leckerbissen, da alles sehr einfach dargestellt ist, da hilft auch das letzte Drittel des Spiels nicht, s. Bildschirmfoto. Das Ambiente ist außerdem sehr dunkel gehalten, so dass man oft nichts sehen kann - eine Lampe gibt es auch nicht an die Hand, was wohl Absicht ist, aber leider kam auch so kein Horrorgefühl bei mir auf.

Auch die Vertonung ist nicht gerade gut gemacht, es ist zwar schon ein gewisser Effekt im dunklen Keller zu spüren, aber das reicht nicht, um das Spiel gut zu finden. Gruseln geht einfach anders, vor allem wenn die Töne undefinierbar sind.
Fazit: Günstiger Titel, einfach gemacht, zu kurz und mager vertont = keine Empfehlung.

I played this game. The game starts infront of a house. I walked around the house. Found a key then I found a basement. I went in there and there was a power switch, switched it on and it opened the door to the house. When I got to that door my game crashed. Then comes the bad stuff. I tryed to get in the house 4 or 5 times. My game crashed all time I went up the door.
It's impossible for me to progress in this game due to this crash I cannot play it. Beware of this crash if you are gonna buy White Mirror. Just buy it on a sale the original price is too much because this crash might happen to you.

норм. но игра закрывается, а сохранятся не научили..тупым надо объяснять "сохранись дурачек"

Honestly pretty good. I liked the atmosphere, gameplay, and graphics. The only problem I had was that the game crashed halfway through the game and I lost all of my progress.

White Mirror is an apt name because the developer needs to reflect on their actions and look up what a game is. It's like they looked up horror assets and thought "This is enough to make a game". Don't waste your time, the "monster" isn't scary in the slightest. It looks like your Grandad waking up with a terrible hangover.
