Динамичный и атмосферный run n' gun, в средневековом сеттинге в духе всем известной серии.
+ Замечательная музыка. Игра не лишком сложная (в сравнении например с той же The Lecarde Chronicles)), по крайней мере на сложности Normal. Дальше - уже исключительно по желанию. Любители челленджей явно найдут для себя что то своё.

[b]Wallachia: Reign of Drácula[/b] é um jogo que surpreende pelo preço e entrega uma experiência divertida e desafiadora para quem curte ação retrô.
Os [b]controles são fluidos e responsivos[/b], com tiros de arco rápidos e satisfatórios, ainda que limitados às direções da rosa dos ventos (vertical, horizontal e diagonal). Isso dá um charme clássico, mas também exige atenção na distância em relação aos inimigos.

O personagem já começa com várias habilidades que tornam a jogabilidade dinâmica: [i]pulo duplo[/i], [i]dash rasteiro[/i] e até uma [i]espada secundária[/i] para lidar com inimigos próximos ou rastejantes.
Às vezes, um pássaro cruza o topo da tela e, se você acertá-lo, ele dropa um item de ajuda — [u]é uma covardia atirar num animal silvestre, ainda mais um que te ajuda 😂[/u].
Me pergunto se encontrarei algum [spoiler]upgrade ao estilo Metroidvania[/spoiler] ou se os itens seguirão o esquema clássico de drop, como em Contra.

A [b]variedade de inimigos[/b] que surgem de todas as direções mantém o ritmo intenso e lembra bastante os Castlevania mais antigos — só que com controles mais refinados.

É um prato cheio para os [b]amantes dos jogos retrô[/b], especialmente quem curte [i]games de plataforma com gráficos pixelados que dão um charme nostálgico[/i].
A história é [i]previsível[/i], mas tem seu valor em [b]peso e medida[/b], funcionando bem dentro da proposta e reforçando o clima clássico.

Joguei com um [b]controle Wireless Xbox 360 original para PC[/b] e a resposta foi excelente, perfeita para esse estilo de game.
A trilha sonora, os efeitos e a arte gráfica são bonitos e nostálgicos, remetendo diretamente aos tempos de [i]SNES e Mega Drive[/i].
Há ainda várias opções de configuração de tela, incluindo uma versão menor que ficaria ótima em mobile.

[b]Vale destacar[/b] que o jogo possui [u]idioma português[/u], o que facilita bastante a imersão.

No fim das contas, [b]Wallachia[/b] é aquele jogo que dá vontade de [i]zerar pelo desafio[/i] — lembrando que [u]não há sistema de salvamento, apenas vidas e sem continues[/u].
É simples, direto, cheio de ação e com uma atmosfera retrô que conquista e desafia.

Jogo completamente cheio de Bugs.
Se você aperta o select no controle o game pausa
e você não tem como retorna ao game.
O Dev meio que largou a mão desse game.
Sem fala que o jogo roda todo cagado no Steam Deck.

Game super desafiador, um game muito bem produzido em vários aspectos, inspirado em Castlevania de Snes e antecessores, pelo fato de ser linear seguindo somente adiante e não sendo do gênero metroidvania. O game também me lembra Blades of Vengeance do MG, em seus gráficos. O interessante nesse título, é que ele não quer retratar o Conde Vlad como o rei dos Vampiro demoníaco, ele apresenta Vlad como o impalador e conquistador, então os adversários, inimigos e chefes, são dentro de um padrão real e local da época, assim o game traz a sua própria identidade. Pontuarei uns pontos:

Pontos positivos:

- É um classicvania de respeito, se utilizando de ótimos recursos nos combates.
- Hardcore, é um game bem difícil, principalmente se você quer fazer todas as conquistas, um prato cheio para quem é masoquista como eu...
- Personagem arqueira linda
- A arte ao narrar a história é bem bacana
- Trilha sonora maravilhosa, impacta muito com o que esta no cenário, não tem música repetidas e possui trilha própria até nas fases de desafios.
- Quantidade boa de inimigos diversificados
- Fases muito ricas em detalhes
- Boss no final de cada fase, e sub boss

Pontos negativos:

- A interface é bem crua, na tela inicial poderia esta a imagem de capa do jogo, para abranger mais a proposta do game.
- Tem um bug na primeira fase após eliminar o navio, quando você pula de um caixote para outro, o pulo da uma falhada, assim, você morre caindo na água, ainda não foi corrigido isso.

Me aventurei muito com esse game, principalmente para mim um fã de Castlevania, sofri bastante para platinar, principalmente nos desafios, parabéns ao time da Migami Games, game maravilhoso!!!

Premetto di averlo finito solo a livello facile finora.
Se siete dei fan dei vecchi giochi arcade d'azione di fine anni '80, questo è il gioco che fa per voi. Si tratta infatti di una sorta di Shinobi arcade ambientato nella Valacchia del XV secolo, quella, per intenderci, dipinta nel classico film Dracula di Bram Stoker, di Coppola. Potrete usare arco e frecce e per gli attacchi ravvicinati, una spada. Ci sono anche attacchi speciali attivabili a comando quando avrete abbastanza sfere, le quali spesso cadono dai corpi dei nemici una volta uccisi. Grafica sufficiente ma funzionale al tipo di gioco, ambientazioni suggestive, boss fight emozionanti, abbastanza difficile già dal primo livello di difficoltà (ce ne sono 3): è uno di quei giochi da provare e riprovare, come i vecchi giochi arcade. Lunghezza normale, ma tenendo conto della difficoltà, non lo finirete subito.
Per i fan dei giochi 2D vecchio stile è un gioiellino, compratelo a occhi chiusi se lo beccate a 2 euro!

Un juego inspirado en los castlevania pero con una jugabilidad estilo Arcade.

Diría que es un juego algo difícil, pero todo se resumen en patrones. Una vez que mueras varias veces aprenderás los patrones tanto de los enemigos como de los jefes. Como en la vieja escuela, debes ser metódico a la hora de jugar.

Aunque lo termine en normal me costo un huevo, especialmente el ultimo escenario, donde si mueres vuelves al principio del mismo, pero esta lleno de enemigos y minijefes. El jefe final si que fue algo complicado, pero, como dije, aprende los patrones y listo. Debes mantener la paciencia y la calma.

El juego es bastante artesanal, todo dibujado a mano. La jugabilidad algo rustico, pero se ve que con los parches fueron mejorando.
No es tan perfecto, pero si se puede jugar bien. Tal vez sientas algo duro los botones al principio. La música esta buena, recordando a los viejos castlevania.

La historia es interesante, pues se basa en la historia real de Vlad el empalador. Incluso mencionan algunos nombres históricos que si son correcto, y también los artilugios que habría usado Vlad para convertirse en el famoso Drácula.

En fin, lo recomiendo solo si te gusta estos tipos de juegos, la verdad que la dificultad puede echar para atrás a cualquiera. Recomiendo comprarlo en oferta.

EL MALDITO SALTO Y SU INERCIA:
- Me sorprende que NADIE haya caído en que el personaje da unos saltos ridículamente cortos, cae como una piedra siendo una mujer que hipotéticamente fue entrenada y era cazadora (según la historia). ¡SI!, se que puede hacer un doble salto, pero salta menos que "Zangief".
Esto, ESTO, ¡ESTO! arruina completamente todo el juego. No puedo saltar enemigos básicos ni bosses, encima en el 2do stage, te vienen ¡DOS bosses a caballo de cada lado!.
+ Tiene una muy buena calidad técnica, tanto en gráficos como en música, pero no importa si no vas a disfrutar del juego como se debe.
He jugado hasta los "Haunted Castle" fans, los "Lecarde Chronicles" y no siento lo mismo que con este juego, presumiendo que lo hizo el mismo creador o uno de los creadores. Una frustracion terrible.

THE DAMN JUMP AND ITS INERTIA:
- I'm surprised NO ONE has noticed that the character makes ridiculously short jumps, falling like a stone, even though she's a woman who was hypothetically trained and a hunter (according to the story). YES! I know she can double jump, but she jumps less than "Zangief."
This, THIS, THIS! completely ruins the entire game. I can't jump over basic enemies or bosses, and on top of that, in the second stage, you get TWO bosses on horseback!
+ It has very good technical quality, both in graphics and music, but it doesn't matter if you're not going to enjoy the game properly.
I've played even the "Haunted Castle" fan games, the "Lecarde Chronicles," and I don't feel the same way I do with this game, assuming it was made by the same creator or one of the creators. Terribly frustrating.

- By the way, there's a bug when you select the Stage: if you set it to ZERO, the game won't start. This bug has not been fixed to date.

This is a really fun game to me. Really reminds me of a few SNES games I played back in the day. It's a little punishing when you get hit or die vs if you're doing well it gets very rewarding to you but otherwise this was a nice throwback game that I enjoyed playing and beating.

The Good: Excellent art, good controls for the most part, banger of a OST, even has some quality voice acting, including OG Alucard in there.

The Bad: In true Konami-like fashion, some horrific, absolutely cruel stage design and questionable enemy placement.

The Ugly: Stage 6 is just absolutely uncivilized with it's length and becomes a major slog, especially the cave section before you reach the boss. Archer enemies in general are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because they essentially have 360-degree tracking on their arrows.

Kind of an interesting game that on the surface looks like Castlevania, but you should approach more like Contra. Meanwhile, you've got Shinobi-like power ups that go away when you get hit.

There's a bit of indy jank going on here. My framerate got a little screwy every new level, then evened itself out. Pause is set to the "select" button, which might cause a stray hit here or there. Beyond that, decent classic style game. You can see enemies and kill em before they shoot you in many cases, and the charge shot quickly takes out bosses. Patterns are pretty easy to figure out. Nothing felt super unfair once you knew what to look for; maybe you don't notice the spike pit under the grass. Maybe you don't notice the ankh next to the big flashing danger sign. Maybe you don't know to watch for stalagtites. It teaches ya what's gonna happen pretty fast, and it doesn't keep shoving the stuff in your face.

Not bad. Not amazing, but for ten bucks, yeah, alright, I'll support an indy dev.

[h2] Contra meets Castlevania in the best possible way. [/h2] Aiming, shooting, sliding, and jumping through seven levels with the backdrop of Vlad Dracula's clash with the Ottomans. Controls feel good enough, collectible upgrades are cool, and your arsenal can wreck everything in sight if used properly. The pixel visuals are pleasant, and the music ranges from fine to outright amazing. There is a nice little historic plot going on, but it doesn't intrude on the game and isn't overarching enough that you can't skip it, which is how games like this should be. There's the slightest bit of jank, but learning the ins and outs of the game makes it manageable. The Extras section is packed with stuff to do based on your completion of the game and makes it more than worth the cost. Also, the game being fairly engaging and about an hour long (if you're quick) makes it highly replayable.

I 100%ed this game and I love this genre, so I know what I'm talking about. Give this a shot, especially given how cheap it is.

After playing the excellent Lecarde Chronicles 2 I had high hopes for this game, what a shame that they were almost immediately dashed by bewilderingly bad controls. I can't quite put my finger on what exactly is to blame, perhaps a strange combination of some moves being instant and highly sensitive while others are not. Even using the D-pad your character occasionally decides to aim in a different direction than you told it (not by a slight angle either, more like left instead of right), and sometimes it seems to just ignore your input altogether. Less than 5 minutes into this game a boat appears that requires you to jump and angle shots down, but more often than not this results in you sliding off the ledge and into the water.
I wanted to like this, I really did. I'm always excited when someone responsible for a great fan game creates a proper release like this, it feels like they will finally get the credit they deserve, but this game is somehow a massive downgrade from earlier work. What a shame.

This looks nice, presentation is great, the stages have nice set pieces and transitions on them, and the level design was "ok". I remember the early stage songs were a banger but I have a hard time for the life of me remember the later stage music - I guess it was alright?

There's certainly a strong arcade vibes here. Some flashy action set pieces, lot of shooting arrows, some occasionally light platforming. Stages are made up of several parts with bosses to end each one. Familiar attacks felt roughly balanced considering their energy costs and each of them had at least some seeming niche usage which is all good.

I would say it's a good game, but I would be a bit hard pressed to call it a great one due to numerous various grievances. It doesn't seem like a bad purchase for some 5-10 bucks.

[h2]Suggestions & Grievances[/h2]

In normal mode the continues are infinite, so you can brute force your way through the game with that. I was a bit confused as to why there wasn't some sort of a [i]"load game"[/i] option where you could start from the beginning of the stage you had gotten so far considering there are infinite continues in the normal mode, but I've come to learn that the change away from limited continues on normal was an update done at a later point after release so I can get why any sort of 'save' functionality might not have been planned from beginning.

I think a more fitting approach for this game instead of the infinite continues one might have been the classic one seen in beat 'em up arcade games with limited "credits" where upon dying you continue right from where you died instead of reloading the stage/screen. This would allow you to still brute force certain sections and/or bosses to get glimpses of the further stages, but getting through the full game would require getting better at preserving your "credits". However, I understand that this sort of change might be too late to make at this point of the game's life cycle.

Personally, one of my biggest gripes would in fact be with the use of default arrows, which you have an infinite amount, and it's preferential to keep firing them out constantly out in front of you as you travel. Running and gunning is the name of the game, basically with potential carpal tunnel being the main drawback for the arrow spam. Perhaps this is the default for arcade games of this type and it just isn't my jam [i](though from what I recall games like Contra allowed you to also hold down the shoot button even if it might not have given you the optimal fire rate)[/i] but you can easily start feeling some trouble in your hand about 3 stages in if you ask me. You could assign your controller's turbo on that button [i](provided you have access to functionality like that as a player)[/i], but that would prevent you from using the 'charged shots' which require you to actually hold down the button unless you also then somehow assign the non-turbo version of the arrow shooting to yet another button.

I would have liked it simply been possible to hold down the bow button to attack with the default arrows and perhaps the charged shot would be tied to another button. Alternatively, and the solution I would actually prefer, is that the number of default arrows would have also been limited like the special arrows, say 50-100 at start of stage or something and say like additional potential drops throughout the stage [i](think for example the classic Shinobi games with limited shuriken)[/i].

This would encourage additional usage of the sword, as well as spending more time thinking about the scenarios where the usage of the special arrows might be more optimal over the default ones - rather than say often defaulting to simply saving the special arrows for the stage bosses. Limiting the number of default arrows would additionally push players towards their tactical usage in that it would put an emphasis on the charged shots that I think I would be healthy one since at least personally with the current infinite arrows I simply often forgot that charged shots were even a thing that existed. I do realize that this sort of change would be a major one considering that the game is pretty much finished as it would among other things essentially require checking out that the whole game is entirely completable - at least theoretically - by only using the sword... though perhaps given the in-game only-sword stage 2 achievement maybe this wouldn't been as far-fetched as it might sound initially?

Another more of a personal gripe of mine would be the excessive use of on-touch hit boxes where I would like that with enemies that have their actual attack swings, they would also not have so aggressive on-touch hit boxes, but I mean I get it's the usual default. I should clarify that obviously enemies such as horse riding ones should have a hit box in front of them when they are charging but maybe less so when they are basically standing still and idle.

Anyways, there are other various minor annoyances I found throughout. While you're in the [i]"holding aim"[/i] stance, this locks you out of using your melee sword attack, which seems unnecessary to me. There doesn't seem to be any sort of sound or such when you try to activate your familiar without having the minimum required energy that confused me a bit first time around.

Another recurring issue seemed to be that the camera should have often been more panned towards the up of the screen rather than straight-middle. This created some awkward 'climbing' sections where it's hard to see the enemies and your - as well the enemies - projectiles got often [i]"eaten up"[/i] by getting off-screen when you tried to [i]"peek up"[/i] to see the enemies. There were several occasions where the bottom section of the screen simply didn't have anything but ground to show yet the camera was centered dead centre on the main character rather than being more eager to show the upper sections.

[h2]Some stage-by-stage commentary[/h2]

[spoiler]To me it felt the stage 4 was easier than stages 2 and 3. On stage 5, part 2, the pit with the hounds has the aforementioned camera panning problem. The boss of this stage felt quite janky, easily repeating patterns, and sometimes feeling like nigh undodgeable if you don't abuse its AI. Once you figure out a strat, you can take it down in like 30 seconds but it felt quite weird to pull off and not necessarily intended(?).[/spoiler]

[spoiler]In stage 6 it felt strange to me that also the rocks which had fallen but had stopped moving were still dealing damage while entirely stationary in the ground. I would have expected their hurt boxes to have gotten disable by that time. In cliffs the camera panning issue felt very apparent. There's a strange arrow power-up pickup at the start of the cliffs which seemed pointless considering I think all of the enemies in the area die from one normal arrow and you seemed to get another arrow power-up in the caves right after. In the caves I would make the first spike on the ceiling start shaking prematurely so the player would be alerted to the fact of such potential hazard being a thing the first time around. Projectiles getting eaten up by awkward camera centering was especially noticeable in the vertical screen with the crossbow & shield soldiers. Bear boss seemed kinda dumb - it is basically just meant to be a DPS check where if you dish out damage fast enough it's an easy clear but otherwise you're in trouble?[/spoiler]

[spoiler]Stage 7 honestly felt quite solid all around. Felt it might have gotten extra polish in design and playtesting. Definitely like a notch up from the couple of levels preceding it. In hindsight, I think the mid-to-late sections of the game - stage 7 notwithstanding - were the most roughest and felt like some extra work could still be done to make them feel better to play.[/spoiler]

It's an interesting take on the whole Vlad the Impaler story, as it draws from the actual real life lore of the individual. That's all fine and good... but this is a video game, so we're judging this game based on the actual game play itself, and to that I say nay.

It's alright, as an old school gamer myself, this game is not for the feint of heart. It requires precision, accuracy, reflexes and a boat load of memorization as well as muscle memory. The controls are a bit jank and the hit boxes are a little wonky so it adds extra frustrations... also, insanely well placed enemies so that when you go to make a jump and scroll the screen, chances are you're getting knocked back in to an instant gib spike trap or hole... it's quite obnoxious.

It's doable if you're playing on Normal and just running through to see the sights. It's easy enough to beat the game if you have the time, as you have an infinite amount of attempts. However, be warned, if you lose all of your lives, it's right back to the start of the current stage with zero power ups under your belt... That sentiment alone could make or break it for some people.

The achievements are where the real autism lies, as some of the achievements are just atrocious to try and attempt and will drain the life out of you. The challenge mode is also a chore and certain challenges require such precision and mastery to complete, it's not even worth the time spent on it. I managed to find a trainer of sorts and cheesed my way through most of the time consuming stuff that would otherwise just waste precious time...

It's not a very popular game for a reason, it's like Super Ghoul's 'N Ghosts levels of balls hardness basically... So in other words, casuals and below average gamers, steer clear, this one is for the masochists.

Ed è questo che Vallachia è, un mediocre gioco arcade, per me è molto più simile al primo Robocop della
Data East, il personaggio ha una hitbox ENORME, qualsiasi cosa vi fa male(anche la criniera di un cavallo).
Rigido, estremamente rigido, potete sparare nelle classiche direzioni, ma i nemici possono sparare da qualsiasi angolazione, I potenziamenti delle frecce sono totalmente inutili, uno spread talmente largo che cicca tutti i nemici, frecce di fuoco che fanno più danno, e le frecce verdi che attraversano le difese...quando ne hanno voglia(nel 90% dei casi non funzionano).
Parlando di cose che non funzionano, il salto fa schifo totalmente ritardato anche se doppio, il salto di questa cretina non sarà MAI veloce come lo premete, ed in un gioco difficile non è una buona cosa.
La programmazione dell'invulnerabilità è totalmente sballata, a volte dura a volte venite beccati continuamente.
Graficamente è....ok, molto amatoriale ma carino.
Le musiche belle.
Voto 5/10...come per le elementari "gli sviluppatori sono bravi, ma per questo non si sono impegnati"
Evitatelo...o prendetelo con un grande sconto.

Вы думаете тут буит чета типа кастлы? Ну типа тот самый знаменитый Владик Цепеш, одел свои красные доспехи и пошел куралесить в "исторически достоверной игре".

Х У Й там плавал! Это адовой кривой платформер. Его как будто собирали подражатели Голден Акса, для аркадных автоматов, гдето в 86 году. А еще у нас тут есть исторически достоверная магия, от разных компаньёнов. Белый волк делает ледяной таран. старый дед-пердед дае временную неуязвимость, еще какой-то х у й делает временный вопгрейд стрел. И брат Владика Цепиша кастует пламя на весь экран. Казалось бы ЗАЧЕМ ТУТ ХОТЬ КТО-ТО КРОМЕ МАГА ОГНЯ????????

Платформинг соссёт. Графоний сосййййот. Боевка соооооосёт. Хитбоксы сосут! Управление сосёт с проглотом. Тут нет нормальной паузы которая позволяла бы выйти в главное меню. Тут нет настроек звука! Из игры нужно входить через alt+tab и далее закрывать процесс. АААААА!!!

А исчо все бафы меча и стрел слетают при получение одной единички урона. В игре есть какие-то галимые поинты, за сбор побрякушек и прочих холотых кубков. Но они низачем не нужны. ДА НА Х Р И НА ВСЁ ЭТО СДЕЛАНО????

Такого адового треша давно мне не подсовывали.

Fun retro style "castlevania but with a bow" game.
For a retro game its rather on the easy side, but this might be because I recently played all Castlevania games and these are much harder.
Game is fun and it rewards good play, the better you do the more power ups you can keep to make the bosses more easy. Music is great and I love the high res pixel art.

When mastered the game is rather short, it took me 2 hours to beat on normal and it took me 1,2 hours to beat it again on hard. If you're really good at the game you can beat it in about 30 minutes(without dying).

Overal to me its a hidden gem. It plays great, looks and sounds great and learning the stages and boss paterns was a lot of fun.
I got it on sale for less then 2,- and even at full price its worth it if you're into the genre.
It has a bug where you cant spam arrows sometimes, but I had no issues beating the game twice in a row and can 1cc it.

If you shoot while standing still, the character can't move for a brief period of time, but there's no such move delay if you shoot while moving. With it being so heavily inspired by Contra, I wish the controls were as well-implemented as that game.

This game is extremely well done. Picture a mixture of Castlevania, Contra, and for those who know it, "Jurassic Park: The Chaos Continues" from the SNES.

I had a tremendous amount of fun with this game. The music was awesome and fitting, the artistic style and design is superb, and it was plenty challenging. I could genuinely picture this having been a game on an SNES cartridge growing up, and could have easily seen young me sinking literal hundreds of hours into this game.

Comparing to similar games in the same genre, it is easier than Toziuha Night: Dracula's Revenge, and harder than Carpathian Night starring Bela Lugosi.

EDIT: For those interested, I played this on Linux Mint version 21.3, with Proton 6.3-8. Played with the Logitech Gamepad F310.
By modern standards, the controls could have been slightly more precise, as other reviews have pointed out. By SNES standards, I would consider them very good.

Wallachia: Reign of Dracula je skvěle udělaná retro hra, která ale stojí hráče až nadlidské množství nervů. Elcin je totiž prostě neposedná měkkota, a i když vás poslouchá na slovo, občas si o ten damage jde říct i bez vaší vůle. Nicméně pokud máte rádi odpolední jednohubky, které vás donutí přemýšlet o smyslu bytí s pocitem, že toužíte zabít pár upírů, tak jste našli tu správnou hru.

Would be better with infinite lives and/or infinite health. The only enjoyable way to play these games is credit feeding until you actually understand whats going on and can play it normally.

The 'start from the last unlocked level' feature stopped working after a game restart. Got up to the caravan level where enemies knock you into death pits but all progress has been lost.

[i]Arcade Inspired Action[/i]

6-7/10 As the review title states Wallachia offers arcade inspired action gaming with loose ties to a Castlevania-Like. Stages are short, bite sized encounters where stage knowledge (Enemy locations, bonus items..etc) is generally very important. Furthermore the total game isn't too long much like most arcade experiences. After finishing the first play through some additional mini-games and challenges are unlocked to give a little more replay outside of the base experience.

Some of the games weaknesses I noticed are as follows. Sometimes the arrow shot in rapid succession simply does not work, the character animates but no arrow is fired. Character movement is mid-tier in terms of smoothness (esp at the extremes of a ledge); could be better but its not terrible. Certain enemies have unusually large contact damage hit boxes which cause meaningful stagger/knockback (Strongly evident on the 2nd stage bosses). Also there might be a few too many arrow & helper magic options considering the length of the game. I think the dev should have distilled it down to 1 special arrow and 1-2 helper magics without the level 2 modes.

Overall a pretty good action game with some rough edges but that is worth checking out.

I have a confession to make - I suck at metroidvanias and I suck at shooter games. Put the two genres together and I really, really suck at it. Despite how difficult I personally find this kind of game to be, I still really like it! It's stylish, I'm digging the historical vibe, and combining these kind of gameplay experiences is really unique. It gets a lot of things right, even if it isn't an easy game for the casual low-skill gamer like myself. I'll probably try again come October, as I like to play and replay Dracula games every Halloween month, and this will definitely fit well in the rotation.

狩人が主人公なので右手に剣、左手には弓の二刀流。
弓は八方向に射られるので基本弓で進みつつ、近接や矢を落とす時に剣で切る、というのが基礎ムーブ。
道中老人が連れてきた鳥がアイテムを運んできてくれるのでそれを矢で撃ち落としてパワーアップしたりする。
撃ち落とさなくていいだろ。手渡ししてくれよ。
溜め撃ちが出来るので強い敵やボスには溜め撃ちしてダメージを稼ぐ。
道中拾う矢には様々な効果があるので、適宜使い分けて道中を進んでいこう。
敵が落とす赤丸をいっぱいとることで仲間の召喚攻撃ができる。
どれもかなり強力だが必要な赤丸がかなり多いので1ステージで2回出せるかどうか微妙なレベル。
ここぞという時に使おう。

という感じの令和の悪魔城ドラキュラ
結構面白かった。
ちゃっかりBlood Stainedともコラボしていてクリアするとコスチュームが変えられるようになる。
良いゲームなのでお勧めですね。

Great game!

Nice retro vibe, and fun gameplay. Unlockable costume and challenge levels along with three different difficulty settings. Reminds me of Bram Stoker's Dracula on Sega Genesis.
Had some issues originally with button lag on my ps4 controller (this was not an issue when I played the ps4 version itself). Played through with an Xbox controller instead and had no issues at all.

Basicamente es un Castlevania con arco y con una jugabilidad mucho mas rapida. Me duele darle una nota negativa ya que tiene una buena presentacion general pero tiene una dificultad Arcade que no es nada agradable unida a unos controles toscos en los que terminas haciendo movimientos que no quieres de forma involuntaria. Ademas pasártelo en modo fácil, que en este juego vendría a ser dificultad normal, no te da ninguno de los extras como los cosmeticos de Bloodstained. Fantástico. No puedo recomendarlo así.

The game on itself is fine, but this is coded like actual ♥♥♥♥. Crashes, freezes terrible system responses when you manage settings (can't even play windowed mode at a good resolution) and strangely long loading times.

It takes away from what would otherwise be a perfectly fine sidescroller that feels like an old arcade game that was hard as balls, but at this price point... yeah, you need more polish. I don't want to dunk on the devs, and I hope they give the game another go and fix the myriad of issues that make actually -playing- the OK game they've made kind of a pain in the ass.

I really wanted to like this game. I saw a retro YouTuber review of this and it looked like it'd be quite fun. In all aspects it is, except for one unforgivable thing that gives it this bad review. These types of run and gun / Castlevania based games are precision control based games. Unfortunately, the controls feel just slightly off to where they will sometime respond slowly or not even at all. This makes what would be a fun, but difficult, game into a frustrating one. If the devs were to ever address this, it'd get a definite thumbs up. Otherwise, there are better titles to grab.

レベルデザインが好きで、ゲームがどれだけスピーディに進行するかも楽しめるので、このゲームをおすすめできたらいいのにと思う。

でも、このゲームをおすすめできない理由は操作性だ。精密なゲームにおいて、操作性の問題は最大の罪だと思う。操作が鈍いとは言わないけど、ボタンを押してもそのアクションが必ずしも反応しないことがある。

I got stuck with messed up key bindings for the controller because of how terrible the interface is designed. You can't even control the sound levels 🤦‍♂️

Pros:
+Great music.
+Cool atmosphere and story.

Cons:
-Poor controls.
-Cheap A.I. with attack and sprite hit boxes the size of Mars.
-Infuriating trial and error gameplay with almost zero room for mistakes.

Wallachia seems like it wants to be Castlevania, but gameplay-wise it feels more like Contra with the running and gunning (bowing? arrowing?), aggressive enemies, losing upgrades when hit, and even the birds you shoot to drop items. This wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if it wasn't so ungodly frustrating to play.

With a more historical take on Vlad the Impaler and the Dracula myth you take control of Elcin, a tough huntress armed with a bow and arrow, sword, and several companions she can summon as she traverses seven levels to defeat the evil Lord Dracula. A fairly short game and to play all seven levels you have to play on either normal or hard, with easy only allowing you access to five levels, but no matter what difficulty you attempt this game is nothing but pain.

The controls feel very stiff and sometimes even unresponsive. There are times when you can mash the bow attack and fire and endless barrage of arrows, and other times Elcin will just stand there plucking the bow with no projectile whatsoever as enemies come barreling upon her. The sword does more damage but has a pathetic arc it swings in, only about 2 feet in front of you, which makes it as effective as a toothpick when dealing with large groups of melee attackers. There are upgrades to your bow and sword, but you lose them upon getting hit which is guaranteed to happen a few seconds after obtaining them. The "helper" attacks can be useful, but you don't get to use them much as resource requirements are very steep and you lose all of your gems when you die anyway.

The enemy A.I. is some of the most frustrating I have ever experienced. Sure, this is supposed to be a retro inspired Castelvania/Contra homage, but even those games had a balance to them and your patience was always rewarded. Enemy attacks always seem to know exactly where you will be standing or moving, and track you as if the projectiles have a mind of their own. It requires such split-second timing to dodge incoming attacks and if you jump a half second early or late you will be hit. And you only get FOUR health points which can be increased with certain items but good luck holding on to them as they disappear upon death. Projectile and even enemy sprite hit boxes are awful and feel bigger than they should be, giving you almost no room to maneuver around and avoid damage, especially in boss battles with twenty-foot tall enemies who love charging at you.

On the positive side, the music is very good, the story and world are well presented, and the artwork is decent. If the developers had spent a little more time balancing the game I would say Wallachia is an indie gem worth your time and money. In it's current state, however, it's an infuriating mess that is very difficult to recommend even for old-school enthusiasts. If you absolutely HAVE to play Wallachia, wait for it to go on sale for REAL cheap.

I grew up on Castlevanias...going back to the first one on NES. It is my favorite series of all time.

When I first saw this, I wasn't impressed. The style didn't hook me. But dang...for $6 it gets its shot. And it hooked me at the start of stage 1. First day and I already feel like I have got my money's worth...and I have so much more to go.

Word of warning: this is not a Metriodvania. This is more like the SNES Castlevania style: Super Castlevania IV. And it is tough.....pretty brutal. The first level goes by pretty easily, but stage 2 hits and it skips Spinal Taps rule...and instead goes to 12!

But I still love it. Someone else said it is like Contra and Castlevania together...which is a good way to describe it. You can stage skip, but it seems it forgets what stage you were on when you exit. Bummer!

But it will still be challenging, and still will be fun. Being a huge fan of the Castlevanias...I am glad I added this game to my library.

Wallachia: Reign of Dracula is a very good action retro styled platformer, now what is the story. It's the year 1462 Prince Vlad Dracula is in his second reign and already he has gained a reputation of being a merciless ruler who has killed thousands, but many people plot against him from the ruler of the Ottoman Empire to his own brother Radu. But among all of them only one young girl burns with a desire to take down the Dragon, a young girl named Elcin, soon this young girl and her rag tag team will venture into the heart of Dracula's domain in order to slay the dragon.

Now then let's talk about what's to like about the game, the gameplay is very good, for the most part it’s pretty hard but fair making you take your time and studying your enemies movements and the lay of the land before advancing to the point where you can get through levels a lot easier on repeat playthroughs. The pixel graphic art style is really good it definitely captures the feel of an old retro video game, while being quite detailed with a great use of vibrant colors and gothic scenery; it also does a really good job in capturing a classic retro game.

The levels are really good quite diverse with a nice selection of locations to see and explore, with plenty of great detail that just makes you want to stop and stare, it also just like with the graphics capture the feel of a classic retro game.The story is pretty good I also liked that it takes some cues from the real history of count Dracula through the game does embellish a lot of stuff, but still if you're a history buff that has studied Count Dracula some of the things you see in the story are actually pretty accurate. The characters are good each one with their own unique look probably I like how Radu has a sort of Alucard look to him and Elcin was pretty cute looking.

The enemies and bosses are very good each one with their own unique look and powers one of the coolest looking bosses in the game had to be Dragomere and Dracula. The music is very good and fits each level very well; my favorite song has to be the first track for the first level. The voice acting is very good does not feel wooden at all and I even recognized some of the voice actors in the game. The bonus features are very good, like the challenges you can do once you beat the main game as well as concept art and getting to listen to all the different music of the game.

Now then let's talk about what's to dislike about the game, the only thing I can dislike about the game are some of the achievements, what I mean is some of the achievements are extremely hard to get, especially the sword master achievement and without supply achievement those two feel way too hard and needing more luck as well as skill to get those them, especially the without supplies achievement.

Now that I told you this Wallachia: Reign of Dracula is a very good action platformer with a lot to love, from the very good gameplay to the really good pixel graphics and a pretty good story. Now then do I recommend this game, oh absolutely if you're a fan of old school video games this is definitely the game for you and I highly recommend it.

the art is gorgeous and the game has a nice tone but its gameplay is a bit flawed.

* controller inputs will sometimes be ignored for no reason, even though the game is running smoothly.
* when using your sword the character shouldn't be allowed to turn mid-animation. this causes you to hit the wrong enemy when surrounded, taking damage from the one you wanted to hit first.
* enemy hitboxes don't always match the sprites, especially the width. Arrows fly by when they should hit.
* the lack of checkpoints before bosses is like... ok, we get it, it's retro, but at this day and age we don't have the time to memorize level layouts and enemy waves anymore.it's a bit unforgiving in that aspect and what I hoped to be an arcade blast turned out to be a home computer frustration.

The game isn't bad, but the aforementioned were problems that carried over from Lecarde Chronicles 2. I see the same engine here and the tweaks were minimal, which again isn't a bad thing.

If there ever exists an update, sequel or anything built upon the same base, Migami, please consider my advice.

Oldschool run-and-gun with a somewhat Castlevania-like aesthetic. While there's a bit of jank in the controls, it isn't too bad. Somewhat fun for like half an hour.

Then the difficulty hits, and hits hard. This isn't one of those tough-but-fair games. This feels like somebody read about "NES Hard" and coin-devouring arcade machine cheapness and decided to dial it up to 19.

여주인공 드라큘라 액션이라서 좋아라 했더니...
적을 공격했을때 사운드가 너무나도 담백하고 밋밋해서 손맛이 느껴지지 않아서 실망만 잔뜩 한 작품
적이 죽는 모션도 한가지뿐이다...적어도 쓰러트렸을때 화살이나 검에 의한 패턴을 몇가지 만들어뒀더라면 더 좋았을텐데
디테일면에서 신경을 안써서 좋은 작품인데도 재미가 없다
너무나도 아쉽다

El diseño de varias mecanicas de juego es "curisos" por decirlo de forma amable.El juego sufre de varios bugs y algunos problemas de diseño (ej: si saltas el tutorial del primer nivel, el juego se traba). En la seleción de niveles, suponé que tenes pasado hasta el nivel 6, si seleccionás para "rejugar" el nivel 2, todo el progreso que se tenías hasta el nivel 6 se pierde. Si apretas Esc el juego te marca game over, y así varias.
Si bien no salió tanto, pero de todas formas lo voy a reembolsar ya que no es un juego que me motive a querer terminarlo.

단점조차 동일합니다
무한하게 나가는 화살은 정말 좋지만 한대만 맞아도 강화가 싹날라가버리는것
그리고 갑툭튀하는 적들과 애매한 높이의 적들에게는 처음봣으니 맞아야지를 느낄수잇고
무엇보다 제일 빡쳣던건 esc를 눌럿는데 왜 게임오버/게임종료가 되어버리는거죠?
그것도 yes/no라도 물어보면 모르겟는데 즉각적으로?
게임만들때 제일하지말아야할짓중 하나를 해놓은게임이에요...

다만 게임자체의 음성지원이라던가 이동/적의 디자인등은 나쁘지않앗으며
적어도 제가하는동안은 버그가 없엇습니다

위에 말한단점은 장르적 특징이라고 생각하면
이러한 게임을 좋아하시는분이라면 할인할때 구매해봄직한게임입니다

Let me start right off by saying that it is possible to reset the progress of your game by accidentally starting on Stage 1. If Anything needs to be fixed, its the possibility of ruining your game by pressing Arrow too fast. Interesting transition because pressing arrow too fast means you will fire arrows a lot slower than at slower speeds.

I only have 2 real Gripes with the game. The Music is great. The Pixel Art is great. The variety in enemies is nice, especially with the intelligent pairing of some enemies that create suspense. The bosses are fun to learn how to beat.

I'm gonna put this game down for awhile though because I accidentally reset my whole game when I was at the final level. Replayed up to Stage 4 so I have an easier time getting to the end the next time.

Will just add that I was getting Shadow of the Beast vibes with the setting, tall sprite, colour palette and the challenge... and that is high praise.

Also, space bar is pause, don't press escape thinking you'll get a pause menu. And don't Stage Select back to Stage 1 when you have unlocked them all, or they all become unselectable like you never unlocked them :o

Great little classic runandgunner. The gameplay is solid as hell but the devs made some really strange decisions.

The options menu is quite bad, but especially the button remapping option is absolute terrible. There is a stage select option (for stages you've beaten) hidden in the arcade-style how-to-play demo you get when you start a new game, I probably would have stopped playing if not for it and I only learned about it because I asked if there was a way to save progress in the forums.

Another strange choice was to make you lose all your power-ups on death, quarter-muncher style. It only adds to your frustration on your initial playthrough because the game is fair but it relies heavily on memorization so leaving you weakened halfway into a level you haven't played before feels very discouraging.

Play this if you miss the arcade classics.

Wallachia: Reign of Dracula is an overall fun and challenging action platformer. It tends to get compared to CastleVania due to the Dracula theme but gameplay wise, I feel it's actually closest to Revenge of Shinobi and Shinobi 3 on the Genesis.

The gameplay is good, the controls are mostly solid and the music is excellent. The difficulty can be frustrating at times but this is a very pattern heavy game. Enemies will be in the exact same spot each level and once you get the pattern down and know what is going to happen, you can breeze through.

As for the cons, the controls are mostly tight but every now and then, you'll try shooting arrows and nothing comes out. I think this is intentional to keep you from spamming constantly but it makes it feel like the control is not responsive sometimes and when enemies are coming at you and your arrows aren't working, something feels off. It doesn't happen a lot but when it does, it's frustrating. The difficulty also seems a little cheap at times and when you die, having to restart a level is never fun. That's old school but I wish it would just start you back one screen instead of the entire level. I just don't see the fun in repeating something you just did. These are all minor complaints though and again, once you learn the patterns, you can typically coast through.

It's a relatively short game but with the modern renaissance of 2D games again, I think this is a bit of an underrated and overlooked gem that is worth your time and is a throwback to the great action platformers of the 16-bit era.

Awesome old school Shinobi like game. Classic arcady goodness. Not too hard but prepare to die a lot before absorbing the levels and patterns and after that you'll be invincible. Amazing soundtrack and sound design.

Only one little thing that did grind my gears was inconsistency of the character art style.
On store page it's pure western fantasy style. On title and game over screens it's different style. In hand drawn cutscenes/concept art it's another more anime like style. In in-game character portraits it's another cutesey style. In character sprites it's once again another. By the end of the game I wasn't sure how protagonists face is supposed to look like.

THE GOOD :
- Good graphics, the overall game feels like I'm playing in a coin-op arcade in 1998
- The music, although it's not as memorable as Michiru Yamane's Castlevania's compositions, I still really enjoy the music
- The character designs reminds me of PS1-era games; which, imho, is the renaissance era of gaming.
- The voice acting is also really good. Castlevania fans get ready for a surprise.
- Reminds me of Castlevania, and for a Castlevania fanboy like myself, it's a very good thing.

THE BAD :
- It's sometimes buggy as hell. I CTD-ed on my first boot and went to a debug training stage on my second boot. I hope the devs will patch this issue soon.
- The difficulty may turn some players off.
- The game is too short.
- The cutscenes' artworks are not as polished as the rest of the game.
- The dialogue writing is cringey in some areas.

Wallachia: Reign of Dracula is obviously inspired by the classic Castlevania games.
A nice 2D game in 16-bit style.
The game looks and plays exactly as you would expect from a lookalike from the SNES era.
The goal of the game is to eventually defeat Dracula by overcoming seven different levels full of enemies and obstacles, but make no mistake, just as similar games on the SNES could be very challenging or difficult to master. playing, this is also the case with Wallachia Reign Of Dracula.

As mentioned, Wallachia: Reign of Dracula is very similar to Castlevania, the gameplay consists partly of platform action, as there are more than enough obstacles in the levels.
Fighting also plays a major role, something you do with your sword and bow and arrow.
You regularly have to deal with boss fights that can make it pretty difficult for you,
Seven levels doesn't sound like much, but you'll certainly have a good time with it.
Most of the replayability will have to do with practicing and improving certain parts in levels so that you can progress a little bit.
In any case, you will almost never go game over because of the controls.

This is fine and responds as you would expect from a 16-bit platformer. Furthermore, the levels are well put together with enough variation in enemies and unexpected elements. The action is also nice and fast, and this together makes Wallachia: Reign of Dracula a very nice platformer.
Wallachia: Reign of Dracula is not a game that you will continue to play for months, but the makers have given a lot more fun with the extra challenges. There are also various things to unlock such as costumes and even extra stages.
Are you looking for a retro platformer full of action and challenge? Then Wallachia: Reign of Dracula is highly recommended. The game plays nicely, levels know how to continue to fascinate and audiovisually everything is fine. Just remember that Wallachia: Reign of Dracula is hard, very hard.

Если любите страдать и по 10000 раз перепроходить уровни заново - милости просим. Меня после всего пройденного такой геймплей уже не вставляет. Они бы еще конты конечными сделали (и судя по отзывам, так оно и было когда-то).

Well, it's a very retro style game, in the good way and the bad way.
The good part is that's really pretty and nice soundtrack.
The bad is that it's really hard, 4 hits and you die, 3 lives and you have to begin the whole level again, if it didn't have a level selection I wouldn't even get past the second level.

If you're in for this kind of game, good for you, because to me it really didn't kick in.

Тут такое дело. Игра неоднозначна по многим причинам. Но обо всём по порядку, и я постараюсь быть максимально краток.

Постараюсь начать с геймплея, потому что именно та причина, по которой может игра быть привлекательной и буду плавно уходить в разные стороны. Дело в том, что игра стилизована как визуально так и геймплейно под старые года Sega(она именно в моём случае, так как нинтендо у меня не было). И тут получается вот какая беда – на клаве управление лично для меня было крайне неудобным, а вот с геймпада уже прям то, что “врач прописал”, поэтому без геймпада не советую покупать игру(то есть именно это первая развилка выбора – стоит покупать игру или нет).

Игра может похвастаться своей хардкорностью. Жизней мало, сохранения отсутствуют как таковые и 3 continue=))
Да, да, практически всё как тогда, но не совсем конечно же. Нет, конечно спидраннеры боги и им насрать на сложность, они не люди из этого мира. Но я пишу это для обычного игрока, а не богов среди людей.

Дикого разнообразия в умерщвлении врагов не стоит ожидать, как таковых комбо тоже нет.

Отсутствует русский язык.

Вроде бы всё как и тогда, то есть как должно бы быть в те далёкие времена - ностальгия и всё прочее. Но не цепляет по крайней мере меня. Я бы советовал купить по скидке 50% и более. И игра несмотря на мою незаинтересованность в ней всё равно получает положительную оценку.

Fun game! A lot of the negative reviews seem to be players that do not understand the mechanics of the game so make the game much harder than it should be. The game is not that bad if you use all the tools available to you. Heck powershot, invincibility and /or the wolf will completely wreck almost every boss. Certain enemies did seem to cause some slowdown with the shots like the giant bears. I also did have one issue where my controller would pause the game, but would not unpause so i had to use the keyboard to unpause. Other than that the game is great! 9/10

Gifted to me by my twitch community, the game is very good: but can be extremely difficult and will frustrate easily. I still haven't figured out all the controls. But the game is like Castlevania meets contra with maybe some ikari warriors thrown in there. It's all about pattern memorization and know when and where and how to do what needs to be done to progress. There is very little margin of error. Enjoy the art style, controls music and sound (including the voice acting) if you're looking for a challenge-you won't be disappointed with Wallachia.

사이드 스크롤 게임으로 나쁘지 않습니다.

다만,
적들의 판정이 너무 넓고 강하고 무슨 말도 안되는 갑자기 돌진 공격들이 많으며
점프로 겨~ 우 넘을 수 있게 되어 있어서 까다롭고 짜증납니다.

그리고
강화 아이템을 먹었을 때 한 번만 맞으면 모든 아이템 다 날아가는 건 진짜 더럽다고 밖에 말 못하겠네요.

기본 HP가 있고 보너스가 따로 있는데 게임 오버가 아닌 보너스를 잃었을 때도
게임 오버 처럼 완전 처음 부터 한다는 것도 왕짜증의 요소입니다.

분명 캐릭터와 도트. 풀보이스 등 신경을 써서 만든 부분은 좋았지만
게임성이나 시스팀에서 그 모든 걸 까먹는 거 같네요.

처음에는 좋게 보고 플레이를 재미있게 열심히 했는데
개인적으로 코나미의 콘드라 처럼 "니들은 이거 당해보기 전까지는 몰라" 의 느낌이 강해
그 패턴을 알기까지 반복 플레이를 요구하는 부분이 상당합니다.

패턴을 알기까지는 스트레스 많이 받는 게임
알고 나면 쉬운 게임이지만 알아도 엿같은 건 엿같은 게 있습니다.

Após o belíssimo Fangame chamado Castlevania: The Lecarde Chronicles, Mig Perez aparece novamente agora com um trabalho autoral. E que ótimo trabalho diga-se de passagem.

Jogo simples e direto ao ponto
Trilha sonora Excepcional. O senhor Jeff Montoya estava bem inspirado.
Artes pelo grande Junki Sakuraba também estão muito bem feitas.
As dublagens estão sublimes. Vale lembrar que o grande Robert Belgrade, dublador da versão americana do personagem Alucard no jogo Castlevania Sympony of the Night retorna dando voz a outro personagem.

De resto, um jogo bastante divertido e desafiador. Particularmente até em preço normal eu acho que está valendo o investimento apesar de eu tê-lo pego em promoção.

Para os fãs de Castlevania clássico é um prato cheio. Que venham mais projetos. 👍🏻

Tuve que reembolsar este juego por desgracia. Se me quedó pegado en una pantalla que decía Falling Rocks y sin importar qué botón o tecla pulsara, nunca empezaba la partida.

No puedo recomendar algo que no he probado y eso que a Migami lo conocí por sus fan-games inspirados en Castlevania. Los Lecarde Chronicles a pesar de su horrible apartado gráfico son muy divertidos y desafiantes de dominar, así que a esos los puedo recomendar sin problema, sin olvidar que son gratuitos por razones más que obvias.

Lo más chocante de todo, es que estuve por meses esperando a que este juego estuviera de oferta y vaya suerte tan mala la que he tenido. Pero bueno, así es la vida.

O jogo é muito bom e bem feito, porém a sua jogabilidade no teclado é horrível, não é possivel configurar a tecla de espaço como pulo, e isso prejudica muito principalmente quando você tenta desviar de algo.
E a tecla esc que fecha o jogo sem mais nem menos se estiver no menu, e se você estiver jogando e pressionar esc é game over na hora também. Esse jogo não se comporta bem quando vai jogar no teclado, se algum dos desenvolvedores ler essa análise peço que arrumem esse problema da tecla de espaço não ser configurável, isso atrapalha e muito quem não tem um controle e joga no teclado

This is pretty fun, it's basically a Contra clone in a Castlevania type setting. It's pretty unforgiving like an NES game, if you run out of lives it sends you back to the start of of the area.

Definitely recommend especially if on sale!

The game obviously had a decent amount of work put into, but pretty much all aspects of it just felt slightly scuffed and amateur. UI, Controls, Movement, Animations, combat, mechanics, level design, etc. It all just felt slightly subpar and uninteresting. And yes 20 minutes is more than enough time to recognize this.

Would be a decent game if it came out 20 years ago, but there are far better games in this style and at this price point, and I would recommend those games instead.

Kontrolleri çok kötü, oyunu eski tarz conttra oyununa benzettim o tarz yapmak istemenizin sebebi nostalji olsun diye ise mekanikleri biraz daha iyi yapa bilir misal denize düşünce ölmeye bilirdik. O eski contra bile bu oyundan daha güzel hem mekanik açıdan hemde görsel açıdan. Proje ödevi gibi bir şey bu.
