Ofcourse I understand the criticism. There were missed opportunites. The game could have gone deeper into RPG system with more complex game mechanics, more interesting and memorable side quests. In many ways, it feels like it just could have been MORE. 1000%.
But even with all of that I genuinely enjoyed the game.
Phyre is badass! combat is fun! Main story is beautiful.
Maybe get this game on sale or deep sale.

P.S. Absolutelly didn't like nosferatu designs. (In art, in lore, in other games they don't look like that)

TL;DR verdict: It's more fun than the hate it got suggests. Enjoyable story. I would recommend playing it with at least 2 mods (see below). Do not get at full price or you will feel robbed (I got it during a sale - I think 35-50% off is fair).

The obvious: As a game that experienced a massive delay and complete change of developers, the story is different from what was shown during the pre-alpha trailer. That said, I found the new direction a refreshing departure from the typical newly-made vampire trope, and having less choice in character creation allowed for a more fleshed out protagonist. While there were issues on release, having bought it now, I have only found 3 bugs that annoyed me.

The good:
- The story was the best part for me. It was compelling, and your choices lead to one of quite a few possible endings. It's not Mass Effect or the Witcher however, and your actions minimally affect things before the conclusion (mostly what sort of dialogue you get from characters, that may lock you out of doing certain things with them).

- The voice acting was good and the writing for character dialogue, and in general was done well. It is nothing like the cheesy Bloodlines 1 writing (though that may be a negative for some people - chronic gooners who enjoy racial stereotypes will feel betrayed by this sequel's departure from the original's uhh... material).

- Combat is fun. You have access to multiple clans' abilities that you can unlock, leading to interesting play styles. The only issue is that it can take a while to unlock these, which is why I would recommend the Faster Leveling (sic) mod.

The so-so:
- You fight with your hands. Melee weapons and firearms are in the game, but you use them with telekinesis. I suppose it is more realistic for a vampire who has been asleep for 100 years to not know how to shoulder an assault rifle at least.

- I upgraded my PC to a mid-level gaming setup, and had no problems running it on Ultra settings, but I hear some people might have some issues. There is a mod to help with performance.

The bad:
- They retained blood resonance from the original build. It is extremely tedious and a poor replacement for a hunger mechanic. You need to stalk generic human NPCs A LOT to gain points in these in order to access abilities from other clans (before even unlocking them). The encounters (e.g. seducing or aggravating someone into following you down an alley) are ok, but quickly become repetitive. The No Blood Resonance mod fixes this. The mod also bypasses a bug where human victims will sometimes sound like the opposite gender when you bite them.

- Quest switching is not intuitive. You have to select quests, by hovering over their locations on the map and pressing enter (or equivalent key/button) - not that terrible. What is bad, is that having a main quest active, hides side quests. You need to make sure you do side-quests before finishing the last main quest available at any given night, or you lose the opportunity to do so (though the game does warn you to finish side quests at certain points.

- The player outfits are mostly ♥♥♥♥. You unlock them as you level. Unlike BL1, you have access to all Clans' outfits, no matter which Clan you start as - but most are trash. There are some outfit mods on the Nexus that look better, but even then, I would only stick with 1 or 2.

- Generic NPC outfits are repetitive. For quite how many enemies you fight, it would be nice for more variation - particularly the anarch enemies.

- Aside from the bug already mentioned, a certain character seems to be stuck in a T-pose past a certain point in the game. You only see him a few times like this, but its pathetic they haven't fixed this yet (as of March 2026). Also, you seem to be able to break dialogue tree requirements with certain characters, locking you out of certain things you can do with them (for me it only happened with Patience) - so far it hasn't affected my main quest or side-quests, and I can still gather all collectibles.

- The game uses a checkpoint save system. Just why? There is a mod that fixes this too.

Graphismes corrects,
Univers relativement fidèle, et histoire intéressante.
Néanmoins, les choix du joueur sont très limités et n'ont pas de vrai impact sur le déroulé de l'histoire.
De plus, le gameplay est bien trop limité, surtout en comparaison avec le vieux jeu précédent.
Au prix de vente je m'attendais à un contenu et des possibilités bien plus conséquents.
Mon avis : à réserver aux fans inconditionnels de l'univers.

[h2]Or: How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Development Hell[/h2]

I wishlisted this game in 2019, and somehow in 2026 it still felt a big rushed nothing of a game.

[b]tl;dr[/b]: This is a game that promises a hurricane and delivers a semi-wet fart. After languishing in development hell for years, Bloodlines 2 isn't the sequel any of us wanted, and it isn't even a particularly good vampire game. Bloodlines 2 just kind of... is. If I made a list of all the games I ever played and ranked them by how much I enjoyed them, this game would be in the exact center. Don't spend more than $20 on this.

[h3]If you want a successor to Bloodlines, you will be disappointed[/h3]
This is not "Bloodlines 2," this is a cheap spinoff. Without glazing the first game too much (which was a buggy disaster when it came out but a solid game with patches), this is nothing at all like Bloodlines. I knew that going in, and somehow I was still disappointed.

[h3]If you want a good VTM story, you will be disappointed[/h3]
The clans are briefly mentioned and every now and then a buzz word like "diablerie" or "blood bonding" will be mentioned, and that's about all the VTM there is in this game. If you're hoping to get into the World of Darkness, you couldn't really pick a worse entry point. You have access to 6 clans, and you can get all of their powers, so really you have access to no clan. Clan bane? Not present. Frenzy? Never a factor. The Masquerade, for which the whole setting is named? Just a notoriety system in gameplay, practically ignored in the storytelling.

[h3]If you want to play as a powerful vampire, you will be disappointed[/h3]
You are an elder vampire, somewhere between 6th and 9th generation. And you will always, [b]always[/b] get your ass kicked by a thin blood in a standup fight (for those unfamiliar with VTM lore, a thin blood should explode if an elder so much as looks at them). The characters in the game constantly glaze how strong and unbeatable you are even though you and hit about as hard as a wet sneeze and spend most of combat stun-locked by ghouls.

[h3]If you want a game with fun combat, you will be disappointed.[/h3]
Enemies have too much health and stun-lock you constantly. There are 3 varieties of enemies in the game, and one of them is actually pretty fun to fight. Naturally, they only show up for a single night and are then sidelined for the rest of the story so you can fight more overpowered ghouls and thin bloods. During that night I realized what this game could have been: a game where you play a powerful vampire against well-armed, well-organized mortals who unfortunately are just that - mortal. Alas, the game instead wants you to take on waves of enemies who bull rush and stun lock you. In the final boss fight I realized that I wasn't having fun, and that I was just playing to reach the ending. So I dropped the difficulty down to casual and realized that I'd accidentally skipped the most annoying part of the game: [u]actually playing the game[/u].

[h3]If you want an atmospheric vampire game, you will be disappointed.[/h3]
I have never been to Seattle, I'm sure it's a lovely city. But unlike Los Angeles in the original Bloodlines which bled with atmosphere, the open world is just a big empty nothing. There is nothing to indicate this is Seattle - it could just as easily be Indianapolis, Montreal, Buffalo. Hell, if you had told me this was Brooklyn I would have believed you. You can see instances of the developers trying to "grit up" the atmosphere, but there's no soul, no identity behind anything. Apart from a single time that a guy on the street asked me "Wanna see the Space Needle in my pants?" this place is basically "City.png." Tennesse Williams said "America has only three cities: New York, San Francisco, and New Orleans. Everywhere else is Cleveland."

And boy, is this Cleveland.

[h3]If you want a satisfying story, you will ([i]only slightly[/i]) disappointed.[/h3]
The storytelling is probably the best part of the game, but it doesn't always pass the ice-box test. I genuinely like the characters, especially your gum-shoe detective partner, Fabien. I think that the story itself is generally satisfying and keeps you wanting to find out more. There are 2 major issues, however. The first: the cognitive dissonance between "hundreds of people keep dying every night" and "mortals don't know vampires exist." It especially gets past the point of believability during the final mission. The second: the points where you can tell the writers didn't know how to get out of a corner, and so Fabien will helpfully mention "That's the MacGuffin we need to get!" apropos of nothing. Again, I think the story and the characters are the best part of this game, but it did leave me feeling a bit unsatisfied, espeically because...

[h3]If you want a story where your choices matter, you will be disappointed[/h3]
There is exactly 1 choice in this game that determines the ending you get, and there are two options available to you. Do you make an objectively bad choice that everyone assures you is a bad choice, or do you make a somehow even stupider choice that is somehow the right answer? On top of that, the game spends 30 hours gearing up for a confrontation only for it to be thrown to the side for a hasty, poorly set-up twist ending. That confrontation is then settled off screen via voiceover, and your character has no part in it. On top of that, there's a sort of "favor" system in place where your dialogue choices can annoy or amuse or please characters, but apart from them perhaps being a bit snippy with you when you speak to them, there is no noticeable difference whatsoever in their actions.

Huge disappointment, It's not a good sequel to bloodlines 2. The original version of this game, which seemed bad at the time, probably would have been a far better game. Boring world, uninteresting story, lame characters. Also, I'm tired of being locked in first person, I wanna see may character damn it, I don't don't wanna hear ♥♥♥♥ about immersion either. Fingers crossed we will get a good open world rpg vampire the masquerade game one day.

The platforming is janky; the building hitboxes are TOO accurate so it's easy to hit a tiny lip and fall. And the main missions are go here, talk, go there talk, and/or fight, repeat. Then the detective missions are go there, talk, go there, talk, repeat, maybe with some looking around. And with both characters i end up walking, running fast draws attention, on the ground, to avoid the platforming, but at least they made the detective fast because he can ONLY walk to and fro.

This is a great game, although It does feel cheesy at times and the graphics can be hit or miss, for example during the Ysabell fight all of her ghouls kind of look like ♥♥♥♥ and low poly this along with sometimes some models A pose and are stuck that way like when going into the memories Benny is just chilling there A posing in a booth, but other then visual I have run into no game breaking bugs. I would suggest buying when its on sale!

Dieses Spiel dürfte eigentlich nicht "Bloodlines 2" heissen. Das wird dieser Kultmarke leider nicht ganz gerecht. Es ist kein Rollenspiel mit Entscheidungen, sondern ein Detektivspiel, wie die Sherlock Holmes Spiele. Schraubt die Erwartungen darum mal ordentlich runter. Ein solides Vampirspiel ist es aber schon. Was man spielen sollte, wen man Detektivspiele, wie Sherlock Holmes oder Inspector Schmitt mag.

I would recommend getting this game only when it is on a steep discount. It is an alright game, but it has a number of issues holding it back. Chiefly is the lack of an actual normal save mechanic. It's 2026, the fact that I can't just press escape and click save but instead I have to wait for a story beat or a quest is insane. The gameplay itself is fun, at least as a Banu Haqim. The story isnt bad, but I wont spoil it. The "side quests" if you can call them that are terrible. Every night you can pick up 3 quests to do, Pick up/deliver a package, track down and kill someone, kill someone in a group of enemies. The story is minimal beyond maybe a sentence or 2 about the target/package. The content of the game is also shorter than Bloodlines with me playing about 25 hours in this vs 50 hours in Bloodlines, both 1 full playthrough. Also the 70 or so collectibles to track down is just annoying. All in all it isn't a terrible game but there isn't a chance in hell I'd buy it full price.

The different enemies and different boss's are quite well done ... very challenging at times , but in a good way ..... the load , saves , are great too if you wana back track or try something different .... Overall very impressed , if you like vampires

I really would have liked to recommend the game... but I didn't. I chose the LaSombra clan on the hardest difficulty, since it was one of the ones few people picked. And it's quite a challenge to play a game with zero intrigue, zero plot, and zero ideas. It's just "going from point A to point B." In fact, sometimes I get the feeling that if they'd given him a lightsaber and named the character Cal Kestis, I'd be playing Star Wars Jedi Survivor, only worse.
There's nothing to lose by waiting until the price drops to around $10 or so.

so like its a good story but a ♥♥♥♥ game tbh, i only played it through for the story and even then there where fight segments that made me just not even want to play the game like the fight with the unborn and the hunters is soooo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the awful ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ combat and stealth system and you can tell they were not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ programmed well at all cause if you use invis during the fight and make no noise they can still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ find you and are constantly in your face even through you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ heavys and since the heavy doesnt have its own key you sometimes just throw out a normal punch and get punished for it. OH and the fact they take three hits to kill when there health bar is gone and if you even dare go for a special kill they spawn on top of you and gang bang you, its such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ feeling and legit the worst fight in the game oh and benny has been t posing the entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game and its getting on my nerves. lets keep this ♥♥♥♥ show going with the "Side quests" your a vampire i bet you could get some cool side quest no? Okay champ here is your first one deliver a package, no nothing special or even a timer or even something cool about the package or people coming after you.. no just go from point a to point b on this small ♥♥♥♥ ass map and deliver it and then go back and talk to the old lady and your done thats all but dont worry champ its repeatable. Oh well if thats not your speed go to Niko! he gives missions where you take care of trouble makers for the vamps so i bet your thinking oh cool i can be an assassin and try and find a way to be quiet and kill enemies with my vampire powers... no track the red line to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ random npc that you can one shot by pressing E, yea we gave them a name but there just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ npc off the street that you can one shot and oh btw its optional to be stealthy if not its cool hell break the masc too if you want... okay okay maybe thats not your speed. like go to the dom of the game and get a mission where you FINALLY get to fight a group of baddies.. okay go to this random rooftop or ally and kill like 5 guys and maybe one brute okay thats it... no dont even go back to her she knows you did it somehow. dont worry there repeatable every night so you can enjoy them to your fullest but to get back to them you gotta do our walking sim where you go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ schizo and talk to a chair which is funny at first till you just KEEP ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DOING IT OVER AND OVER AND IT GETS REPEDATIVE AS ♥♥♥♥ AND BORING... oh and there is no stakes in these flashbacks you can just do it all over and get the right answer and if you say something wrong just wipe there thoughts and start over and oh dont worry if you messed up a convo critical to the game that we didnt think you could mess up buddy we will just restart the conversation for you on a clear slate pal, dont worry if you actions actually do anything here we need you to follow the naritive.. All and all dont ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ buy this game unless your ready to wade through a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, bugs, horrible fight that are either to easy or they say ♥♥♥♥ it and throw a situation at you that just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kills you and also ♥♥♥♥ you. Insgesamt sagt mir das Spiel nach rund 30 Spielstunden zu. Ich habe den Vorgänger nicht gespielt und habe dehalb keinen Vergleich/auch keine Kritik an dieser Stelle.

Anfangs hat mich das Game sehr gepackt. Ich fands cool die NPCs in Gassen zu locken oder auf Rampage knapp dem Bruch der Maskerade zu entkommen. Was meinen Flow irgendwie gebrochen hat ist der Switch der Stimme meiner "Opfer". Nicht immer, aber oft ist beim "Aussaugen" die Stimme eine andere. So wird aus Max Mustermann eine Musterfrau und umgekehrt. Ein bisschen irritierend. Auch dass die NPCs manchmal in Wänden verschwinden nervt ein wenig. Ebenfalls nervig finde ich die fehlende Speicherfunktion. Es ist zwar kein derber Minuspunkt, macht aber die Auswahl in den Gesprächen manchmal etwas angespannt (für mich - besonders bei der ausschließlich englischen Vertonung). Die Kämpfe hingegen finde ich cool. Hier bin ich jedoch bislang nicht in einen "Blutrausch" ala The Darkness 2 herangekommen/macht aber trotzdem Spaß. Die variablen Möglichkeiten seine Gegner niederzustrecken sind meiner Meinung nach gut gelungen und laden dazu ein, alle Skills freizuschalten. Hier komme ich aber gerne auf den Soundbug zurück... ich habe früh in der Story viele NPCs gejagt, um alle Skills freizuschalten. Da nervt der Sound wirklich sehr und die kuriosen Glitches auch. Ein fettes "+" sind für mich die musikalischen Einlagen. Das stützt die eh schon gut gelungene Atmo sehr.

Das Game hat definitiv viele Stärken (auch die Charaktergestaltung sagt mir sehr zu), aber auch einige Schwächen. Ich muss ehrlich eingestehen, dass ich mich aktuell sehr auf das Ende freue... ich werde nicht alle Trophys freischalten, weil mich das Game so sehr nicht gecatched hat.

Allinall: Cooles Game mit vielen Stärken, aber auch einigen Schwächen. Lohneswert fand ich es allemale. Aber umgehauen wie damals Max Payne oder The Darkness 2 etc. hats mich nicht (sorry für den evtl. blöden Vergleiche von Spielen, ist mir nur gerade so in den Sinn gekommen). Greetings

Honest thoughts:
Get the game on sale. There is at least 20 hours of main story context and the twists in the final act are insane. Combat feels nice and movement reminds me of Apex Legends. Minor bugs, like one character just t-posing for every cut scene, even after restarts. Near the end, I suffered some FPS, but it was only for a few seconds. Other than that, this is a fun game.

Я благодарен за каждую минуту, проведённую в этой игре, за те тёплые ночи в снегу, за непередаваемые по красоте тона и стили ночного снегопада Сиэтла, за уютные ночные трансляции радиоведущей.
Очень понравилось играть в жанр детективного расследования, это первая игра где я с удовольствием прослушивал и прочитывал диалоги, не скипая их, и мне это не надоедало. Очень качественно сделана постановка диалогов и подачи сюжета, отличная работа оператора в кат-сценах.
Интересно наблюдать за развитием персонажей, за движением сюжета. Я испытывал глубокое наслаждение, погружаясь в мир Сиэтла, проникаясь тревожной, неоновой, снежной, предновогодней ночной суетой

I have been really enjoying this game a lot. Now I walked in knowing this is not an RPG but more of an Action Story Based game. I have played the Original Bloodlines and I knew this is not a continuation of that story but rather a stand alone. I decided to look at it through the lens of this is an Action game not an RPG or related to Bloodlines.

Since I had that mindset going in I genuinely had a lot of fun. The story is so amazing with all the twists and turns I could not put this game down. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The characters are a hoot and very loveable to me. Not to mention the visualization of some of the powers really put to light how the V5 system would look like. Which honestly made me enjoy vtm so much more now being able to visualize some of these abilities.

Now the game is not perfect it has it's flaws with some bugs and crashes when graphics are set to max. ^^; I would love it more if there where some accessibility features for us colorblind folks as trying to determine the different renascence blood is a little hard. I can't quite tell them apart but apparently I'm told it's dark blue, dark purple, and pink but I only see deep blue and pink. If you're colorblind like myself you may struggle a little bit when playing if you're farming for the blood types aside the bugs and lack of accessibility features amazing game.

I highly recommend this game so long as you treat it as it's own thing since it can not compare to the Original. Hope this helps someone.

firstly I have not played a Vampire: The Masquerade game, so I have no knowledge of the setting or nostalgia for the past games.

Pros:
Story is fairly good, characters are enjoyable. Usually a voice in the head be annoying but this time it was entertaining. the atmosphere and lore is fun, and I did enjoy the setting.

Cons:
Essentially no RPG mechanics, side missions are just a repeat of the same things over and over, and they weren't great the first time.
Combat is functional, but nothing exciting. The different powers are the only interesting thing, but they lock you to only four equipped powers at a time.

Misc:
The different types of blood mechanic was interesting, but seemed mostly there for padding. Additionally while you can remap the button layout for controller/mouse and keyboard it seemed to bug out when you do so (at least it did for me).

-I played through the entire game before writing a review, and cant bring myself to recommend it. I would give it a 5.5 out of 10 entertaining at points, but for such a short game it felt very padded and stretched out. Pick it up for 10-20 USD if you enjoy vampire games and just beeline through the main story ignoring all the side content.

Vampire Bloodlines 2 has some decent elements, but overall it feels like a missed opportunity.

The atmosphere and music are solid. You can tell there was effort put into creating a dark, immersive world, and in moments that part actually works. But beyond that, the experience starts to fall apart.

The story did not engage me at all. For a game like this, you expect a strong narrative to pull you in, but here it feels forgettable and lacks impact.

The RPG side is also very weak. There is very little sense of meaningful choice or character shaping. Instead of feeling like you are role playing, it often feels like you are just following a set path without real influence.

Character design is one of the biggest problems. The female characters look off, almost masculine, and do not fit the usual vampire aesthetic. When you think of modern vampires, you expect something stylish, alluring, or at least distinctive. Here, the designs feel awkward and out of place. The clothing choices only make it worse, lacking any real identity or consistency.

Customization is also extremely limited. It is hard to create a character that actually looks good, especially with feminine options. Hairstyles in particular feel very lacking, almost like the female customization was added much later without proper attention.

On top of that, the game simply feels overpriced. Even with a discount, it does not justify the cost considering the lack of depth and polish.

There are some good ideas here, especially in atmosphere and sound, but the overall experience feels shallow and not fully realized.

La storia è davvero molto intrigante, e ti fa venire voglia di continuare per scoprire come va a finire, il tutto mescolato ad una crescita del personaggio e ad una vera e propria skill del player nei combattimenti che anche con il gioco a "normale" offrono un esperienza impegnativa. spero di vedere un prossimo ed eventuale capitolo magari in un ambientazione più ampia e con possiblità di pesonalizzazione del personaggio maggiori, e un modding più ampio.

From the rush I got playing bloodlines 1 I bought the second one in hopes of filling the hunger for more left by the previous title.
Although I enjoyed the company of the detective speaking into my ears, I sadly felt left wanting more from the game.
Especially the lack of interesting side quests, as they were filled with simple assasination missions or fetch quests.
Although I enjoyed the climbing upon the roofs and jumping between buildings, it was not enough to make up for the lack of roleplay elements.
Speaking of the roleplay elements, the lack of choice provided to the player and limiting the things one can do felt very restricting. It left me feeling I was only given an "illusion of choice" that was similar to how some of the telltale games gave you a message of how an npc feels, yet it did not really feel impacting upon the overall story.
The lack of the humanity mechanic or beast influencing and whispering to Phyre was also dissapoinitng, as that was always something that vampires had to fight with.
The combat felt really repetitive, many encounters were really similar and the lack of variety was exhausting at some point. At the later stages of the game the amount of gunfire heard throughout Seattle left me wondering how were they all able to keep up the masquerade with all of this going on in broad moonlight. In an age of advanced technology, especially in America a lot of people use recording with their phone as a way to inform others or protect themselves in case the danger approaches them. All of this combined left me not feeling immersed in the presented world.
I wanted to love this game, I really did, yet It felt dissapointing.
The game went through a develepmental hell, going between studios, changing its stucture.
I hope they make up for it with the dlcs, but paying extra for those also feels disrespectful to the players overall, as it felt like we werent given a finished product either way.
I love the world of darkness and it pained me to write this.

WARNING: requires third party launcher to play game.

Similar to ubisoft launcher, ea launcher, rockstar launcher. Also has steep eula to allow collection of everything to use launcher. AVOID if you care about this. Putting at top, since I do not see it on their sell page showing they require it before you buy (I see the requires 3rd party eula, but not that it requires a 3rd party launcher). If i saw it on the page before I clicked the add to cart button, my mouse would hover away from the button quickly.

Review:

Not satisfied with this game. I could not even get this game to get past the options menu.

First, the game requires you to install their spyware launcher. I will not have another launcher on my computer. That alone is enough to warrant me applying for a refund. Not going through the whole origin thing again.

Second, the game crashed my computer when I tried to apply gfx settings. The whole screen turned green, and it was a hard lock (no bsod, no reset, just locked up). Already had a massive X from the launcher, and that took the cake.

Even the sale price is not worth this pile of garbage.

[B]Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2[/B] ist ein actionreiches Rollenspiel, das in der [B]Welt der Dunkelheit/World of Darkness[/B] spielt & somit extrem viel Lore mit sich bringt. Zudem ist es der Nachfolger des 2004 erschienenen [B]Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.[/B]
Zu sagen 'Ja, ich bewerte das Produkt, ignoriere dabei aber wie der Titel heißt um es mir gutzureden' ist ein ziemlich blödes Argument, das ich auch schon bei [I]Dragon Age: The Veilguard[/I] nicht habe gelten lassen. Wer sich mit einem großen Namen schmückt, muss diesem Namen auch gerecht werden.
Da ich großer WoD & im speziellen VtM Fan bin (ich spiele seit Langem VtM-V20 als TTRPG/PnP), Bloodlines 1 aber nicht gespielt, sondern nur im Stream angesehen habe, werde ich das Spiel also mehr nach dem Kriterien bewerten: [I]'Ist es ein Titel, der gut in die WOD passt?[/I]
Ja, das ist es. Auch wenn das Spiel nicht überwältigend ist, es ist kein Bloodlines 2, Dragon Age: Origins, kein Baldurs Gate 3, aber es ist z.B. deutlich besser als [I]VtM: Swansong,[/I] das ich nach knapp 2 Stunden zurückgegeben habe. Ich gehe auf alles ausführlich ein & musste ~700 Zeichen kürzen. Zwischenfazit nach 16 Stunden.

[H1]Der Einstieg...[/H1]
... ist schwierig.
Die ersten 4 Stunden dürfen wir uns nur sehr linear durch Seattle/die einzelnen Schauplätze bewegen, da wir die Gunst des Prinzen erwerben müssen, durch die Stadt zu laufen ohne Freiwild zu sein. Das ist definitiv VtM-Lore konform, aber schreckt viele sicherlich ab. Erst nachdem der Prinz uns gestattet, uns frei durch Seattle zu bewegen (& uns viel zu schnell einen wichtigen Posten anbietet), können wir frei mit den anderen Mitgliedern der Camarilla sprechen.

[H1]Die Quests.[/H1]
Zumindest die Hauptquest war nicht gähnend langweilig. Es war auch nicht das Spannendste, das ich jemals gespielt habe, aber es war solide genug mich zu unterhalten, mein Interesse milde zu wecken & mich ab & an miträtseln zu lassen. Aufgrund intensiver Review-Recherche die ich vorher betrieben habe, war das schon mehr als ich erwartet habe.
Die [B]Nebenquests[/B] die uns die NPC's nach Stunde 4 geben sind leider sehr nach Schema F. Hole dies-hole das, wir kennen es alle. Man hat versucht es mit den Geschichten der Clan-NPC's zu verweben, was aber nur mäßig gelang.

[H1]Die Hauptcharaktere.[/H1]
Ja, das ist der Plural, denn es gibt 2: Phyre "den Nomaden", den wir aktiv spielen & (bis auf die Gesichtsform) mittelmäßig umfangreich gestalten können. Die Clans können [B]Banu Haqim, Brujah, Lasombra, Toreador, Tremere oder Ventrue[/B] sein, wobei das bis auf wenige Dialoge keinen Unterschied macht, dazu aber später mehr.
Dann Fabian, den Malkavianer-Detektiv, den wir diableriert haben & der in unserem Kopf herumspuckt. Mit ihm erleben wir Flashbacks, die mit der Hauptstory verwoben sind, zunächst ist noch nicht klar warum.
Währen Fabian gerne quatscht & vielen auf die Nerven geht, fand' ich ihn mit am Einzigartigsten. Sein schlechtes Gedächtnis ist vermutlich seine Clanschwäche, denn einen anderen merkbaren Tick (wie andere Malkavs) hat er nicht. Ein Detektiv mit Gedächtnisstörung ist schon witzig, zumal er alles nur behalten kann, weil er dauernd seine Fähigkeiten benutzt.
Viele haben sich über die [B]Synchronisation von Phyre[/b] beschwert, weil sie schlechter ist als die der teils wirklich guten Synchro der anderen NPC's. Ich glaube das war Absicht, weil Phyre durch 100 Jahre Torpor aus der Zeit gefallen ist. Ansonsten kann ich mir das nicht erklären.

[H1]Die Nebencharaktere.[/H1]
Ja - Man hat versucht die Charaktere individuell erscheinen zu lassen. Einige davon leiden sehr unter stereotypischen Verhalten. Es gibt 'die Schüchterne', 'den Draufgänger' usw. aber wenn wir ehrlich sind, die Clanbeschreibungen sind auch schon sehr stereotypisch. Eigentlich hat man sich 'gut' an die VtM-Vorlage gehalten.
Nein - Die Charaktere haben nicht die Tiefe wie Gefährten in Dragon Age & co. Das liegt vor allem daran, dass sie außerhalb der Quests wenig Daseinsberechtigung haben. Sie stehen nur in ihren Zufluchten & warten, bis der Phyre reinspaziert. Man hätte mehr draus machen können, hat man aber nicht. Das Gerüst war da - Aber den Satz werdet ihr noch öfter lesen.

[H1]Gespräche...[/h1]
... sind in Ordnung. Natürlich wird jemandem wie mir, der die WoD-Lore kennt einiges zu dumm, gerade wenn 2 alte Vampire sich im Gespräch rudimentäre Dinge erklären ('Was ist der Sabbat', 'was ist Diablerie' usw.). Das Spiel ist aber nicht nur für WoD-Veteranen, irgendwie muss das Wissen an den Gamer gebracht werden. Das hätte man eleganter machen können.
Aber ansonsten sind die Gespräche nicht super-cringe, wie in Dragon Age: The Veilguard & es sagt dir auch nicht alle 2 Meter jemand was du tun musst, auch wenn das durchaus mal vorkommt.
Man hat versucht den Dialogteilnehmern eigene 'Stile' zu geben, die sie auch konsequent durchziehen. Hier ist Phyre fast noch der Langweiligste aller Charaktere.

[H1]Die Atmosphäre...[/H1]
... ist einer der bedauerlichsten Punkte dieses Spieles. Das Gerüst ist nämlich da & das ist echt gut.
Seattle sieht gut aus, hat einige signifikante Orte & die [B]Musik[/B] ist stimmig. Auch wenn sie für mich persönlich niemals an die Werke von 'Resina' in [I]VtM:Coteries of New York & VtM:Shadows of New York[/I] oder [I]"Vampyr"[/I] herankommen wird.
Die [B]Schauplätze[/B] sind gut gestaltet, aber die NPC's laufen einfach ziellos in ihnen umher. Sie interagieren höchstens mal mit einem Bankautomaten. In Gebäuden stehen sie ebenfalls nur in der Gegend rum & scrollen auf ihrer App-bar am Smartphone. Es gibt nicht einmal Ambient-Gequassel, außerhalb von sehr vereinzelten Sätzen der Fußgänger. In dem Hotel stehen Leute an einer Schlange, an einem Buffet, aber es gibt keinerlei Geräusche die das untermauern. Ampeln sind [b]immer[/b] rot. Es fahren keine Autos, obwohl es Reifenspuren auf der Straße im Schnee gibt & so weiter.
6 Monate mehr Arbeit für mehr Ambiente, betretbare Schauplätzen außerhalb der Quest- & Clangebäude & mehr Arbeit an cineastischen Cutscenes mit Gestik/Mimik hätten dem Spiel wirklich gut getan. Weil wie gesagt, das Gerüst ist da & es ist durchaus gut.

[H1]Kampfsystem & Movement...[/H1]
...ist solide. Kämpfe sind flink, man fühlt sich als alter Vampir deutlich schneller & mächtiger an als die Ghule & Caitiff. Man kann mit Telekinese & seinen Fähigkeiten viel geiles Zeug machen.
Die Bewegungsfreiheit in der Stadt ist großartig. Das Klettern über Dächer fühlt sich sehr gut, flüssig & übernatürlich an. Den Aspekt haben sie richtig gut eingefangen, besser als in jedem anderen Spiel das ich bisher gespielt habe.
Es gibt auch viele Möglichkeiten zu schleichen.

[H1]Fähigkeiten...[/H1]
... gibt es, wir starten mit unseren 4 aktiven+1 passiven clansspezifischen Fähigkeiten. Da wir aber sehr alt sind, erhalten wir auch Zugriff auf andere Clansfertigkeiten, was einen zweiten Spieldurchlauf redundant macht, auch wenn es Lore-konform ist. Klüger wäre es gewesen, uns Fähigkeiten von Clans zur Verfügung zu stellen, die wir nicht spielen können.
Zudem können wir Fähigkeiten nicht frei zusammenstellen. Es kann nur eine Stufe 1 Fähigkeit, eine Stufe 2 Fähigkeit usw. mitgenommen werden. Lore-konform ist das nicht.
Außerdem merkt man hier wieder die Konsolen-Optimierung, da wir nur 4 Fähigkeiten gleichzeitig ausrüsten können. Ich bin PC-Gamer. Wozu habe ich eine Tastatur, wenn es dauernd künstliche Limitierungen wegen Konsolenspielern gibt? Das ist heutzutage in jedem 2.ten Game so & es geht mir nur noch auf die Nüsse. Die Fähigkeiten selber sind aber cool, lore-konform & machen Spaß.

[H1]Fazit:[/H1]
Wer sich hier bewusst auf ein eher lineares Spielerlebnis in der WoD einlässt & einen Sale (ca.20-40€) abpasst, der wird einigermaßen gut unterhalten werden. Wer ein umfangreiches Bloodlines 2 mit Entscheidungstiefe erwartet, wird so sehr enttäuscht sein.

This is my First review of a game after 20 years of gaming so im learning how to do this

As an entrenched WoD lover and longtime storyteller for TTRPG. I picked up this game on launch, I already had less then 0 expectation for this game then I actually started the game and it somehow went from zero to "oh god just let the inquisition destroy this". This is a classic case of a decade of dev hell and this layer is mixed with ideas tossed out and forgotten and picking up slack and . With all care for the established lore tossed out the window and burned by the sun much like the real ending of the game should have been [spoiler] when Phyre dove out the window [/spoiler]

Pros (Not many)
SOME of the Fabien sections as much as i rolled my eyes at the walking sim that was all of his sections talking to the objects did have some humor to them.
The Havens of the Kindred of Seattle even know its just a background for the NPC's seeing what things Nikos Pawn had and reading the coffee board at Wake the Dead.
The VA's for the Kindrend (except for Nix I hate to ♥♥♥♥ on a VA because it could be bad direction but YIKES)

Cons:
Combat is disjointed and wonky as a elder kindred is really fun to get rolled by thinbloods. using the melee combo system was awful to use in groups when they surround you very easily. trying to pick up any of their weapons with telekinesis was strange both playing on K&M and controller. it really feels like the combat was more pathwork then a tzimisce project. (yes whatever blood curse was put on Phyre could dampen their strength but even then there is no growth in their raw power, they just want you to use the 4 disciplines at every moment and rush in take huge damage spam discipline repeat. I was on the Second hardest difficulty at the time of playing as an Banu Haqim which also felt like lifeless husk)

Clans: They all feel souless since you can just get all the other clans clan discipline which is annoying in of it self but I wanted to do it for the purposes of the review the ONLY difference is one passive thats is other then that every Phyre is always going to be the same each playthrough. I played Banu Hanqim for my playthrough it felt bland even the "Clan Dialog" choices if you can even call them that was bland and poorly written.

Phyre and Fabien: God where to start with this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, Having Fabien in your head is annoying because your telling me 1 elder kindred NEVER thought about diablerie as a reason WHY he is in their head UNTIL the VERY end of the game come on plus Fabien is clearly the voice for people who have never played anything within the VtM universe giving terms that a ELDER should already know and be VERY familiar with. it feels so hamfisted even after the explanations of what the term was they give you a whole entry for more details why not just do that and use the in lore terms in dialog to make it feel more natural between kindred. ALSO everyone knows that Phyre HAS to be the Nomad no hiding that fact here the lowest kindred on the block know

Story: Many reviewers have picked apart the story and My BREIF explanation of it is Phyre needs to remove this blood curse so the dynamic duo Phyre and Fabien have to go through Fetch quest after Fetch quest for each of the Kindred in the city to get told yeahhhh heres some small info thats not really info but your our elder playing so hehe oh yeah that warlock whos all friendly that clearly cursed you TOTALLY isnt the bad guy I spotted safia as the "mastermind" to all this after a few of the flash back scenes as Fabien more slogging combat and jank stealth sections that force you to kill everyone to progress because we need to pad that run time. then BAM final boss fight all the NPCS you met all their "side quest" are just MORE fetch quest and 0 personality oh and fans of Bloodlines 1 Damsel is here for a split second heres your memberry moment now here more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and your choices DO not matter at all the illusion of choice is very strong with this game.

All in all PLEASE do not buy this game I feel like Ive been robbed and I wish I could get my money and time back Ill also be doing these "DLCs" (aka Cut content)

主线剧情真的很棒，反转很多，法比安真的超有魅力。碎碎念的大警探，最好的搭档。

剧情党推荐直接入手，这个游戏褒贬不一最大的问题是犯了和赛博朋克2077一样的错误——玩家期待值太高。而这款游戏还是偏线性游戏，虽然故事讲的很好，但和最初玩家开放世界的期待落差太大，被狠狠差评。

新手引导做的很好，女主很A很漂亮，脸随便捏一下都超好看，CG里看的每一帧都是享受。极大拯救了我被索拉斯塔2（眼睛要瞎了）和仙女座（主角软弱脸肿小鬼）摧残的审美。很难相信是2025年出的游戏。

一体双魂绝对是神设定。在阴森狭窄的下水道里耳边的碎碎念、在突发危机时有人焦急地喊你的名字、在醒来的第一瞬间有人对你说早安、进入对方的回忆越来越了解对方，却清楚对方早已死亡的惆怅……还有更多，但我不剧透了。

推荐主角选择女性，这部作品所有大boss和势力领袖都是女性，深刻诠释了权力动物不分性别。爱情线真的，刻骨铭心啊。

战斗打击感挺爽的，真的有种顶级掠食者的感觉。人类都是小点心，meatbag，边杀边回血，太爽了。

缺点：支线剧情一直在清马桶，只有最后一次支线剧情是主线相关。这游戏走主线前会提醒玩家清理支线，提醒的很好，下次别提醒了。除非改进一下支线剧情xd

Игра просто настоящий симулятор пососа! Клан камарильи - мы научим тебя сосать правильно и не только солёную кровь! Все чему тебе придется заниматься это бегать по зимним подворотням и сосать! Сосать уныло, сосать агрессивно, и сосать любвеобильно! Спалился за отсосом? Получай леща и беги на крышу прятаться и отсиживаться в слезах, а потом беги снова сосать в поисках очередной жертвы, ради получения очков сосания что бы потратить их у мастера пососов. после чего отсосешь и у него и получишь новые способности (ты уже догадался чего?) правильно ПОСОСА! Так точно! Соси сочно и тебя ждет успех в этой игре!

If you were expecting a worthy successor to the masterpiece that was the first game, I have some tragic news: we’ve been played. This isn't an RPG; it’s a buggy narrative experiment that fails at being a game.

🎭 "Story Mode" Only
Let’s be clear: calling this an RPG is a lie. It’s a story-driven walking sim with "RPG elements" tacked on like an afterthought.
As a story: 6/10 (Passable, but nothing more).
As a game: 3/10 (A total joke).

🕹️ Gameplay: "Spider-Man with Fangs"
The gameplay is practically non-existent. It’s just running back and forth with zero substance.
The Quest System: Pathetic. The quests are "poor," lacking any variety or depth. The NPCs are stuck in a loop of brain-dead behavior, and there’s absolutely no new quest design to speak of.
Combat: A total nightmare. It boils down to a repetitive "jump, hit, jump" cycle that feels insulting to the player. I had to completely rebind the controls just to make it playable.
Movement: Imagine a janky "Spider-Man with fangs" simulator. That’s the whole loop.

🐜 Technical State: Texture Hell
The graphics are a letdown, but the bugs are the real stars of the show. In the very first mission, mobs were already clipping through the floor and falling through textures. This product is unfinished and should never have been released to the market.

🏁 The "Shame & Disgrace" Verdict
The first part was miles ahead of this. If you took the plot of the original and put it on a modern engine, it would be a legendary hit. Instead, we got this—the "Failure of the Millennium."
I paid $30 for this, and I regret every cent. I feel deep sympathy for anyone who spent full price on this at launch.

PROS:
The first game exists (go play that instead).

CONS:
Combat is a "jump-and-poke" disaster.
Quests are hollow and repetitive.
NPCs are lobotomized.
Bugs are everywhere from minute one.
It's a disgrace to the franchise.

Final Word: DO NOT BUY. Shame on the developers.

Story feels amateurish with problems written after solutions often feels like fever dream with blanks filled in a week of work, there are some choices that have supposed impact but its more of an illusion of choice there is only like one or two decisions that have any impact on game or ending; it has a lot of filler grind to increase length of the game and uninspired side quests that are copypasta of them selves and there's quite a number of bugs some of which are gamebreaking...
overall it is not bad game had fun playing vampire while everything worked but definitely not worth full price;
3/10 for full price; 7/10 if it was below 20$

I knew this wasn't going to live up to the first V:tM. I watched a couple hours of playthrough online, and I decided that I didn't care: I thought the game looked good even separate from its legacy. And it is.

What I didn't account for it how janky it would be. I have a good graphics card and 32 GB of RAM, and it still sputters constantly. Changing the video settings doesn't seem to help. Every time I try to glide or parkour, it lags extensively. Combat is a nightmare.

I am determined to try to play it through, but I think a truly difficult combat might prove an impossible roadblock. They need to work on optimizing this thing.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 hat mich bereits vom ersten Moment an vollkommen in seinen Bann gezogen. Das rätselhafte Erwachen des Protagonisten bildet einen fesselnden Einstieg, der sofort das Gefühl vermittelt, in eine Welt voller Geheimnisse, Intrigen und übernatürlicher Machtspiele hineingezogen zu werden.

Die düstere Atmosphäre, die sich wie ein dichter Nebel über jede Straße und jeden Dialog legt, verleiht dem Spiel eine unverwechselbare Identität. Jede Ecke wirkt lebendig, gefährlich und voller Geschichten, die nur darauf warten, entdeckt zu werden.

Besonders beeindruckend sind die einzigartigen Fähigkeitstypen, die man im Laufe des Spiels freischaltet. Jede neue Kraft verändert nicht nur das Gameplay, sondern auch das Gefühl, wie man sich durch die Welt bewegt: mal lautlos wie ein Schatten, mal überwältigend mächtig, mal manipulativ und subtil. Diese Vielfalt sorgt dafür, dass jeder Spielstil seine eigene Wirkung entfaltet und sich das Abenteuer immer wieder frisch anfühlt.

Ein echtes Highlight ist jedoch die Detektivrolle, die man im Verlauf der Handlung einnimmt. Hinweise sammeln, Zusammenhänge erkennen, Entscheidungen treffen, die weitreichende Konsequenzen haben. All das macht Bloodlines 2 zu einem der besten Spielerlebnisse, die ich je erleben durfte.

这个推荐我给的其实是纠结的，接下来分为我喜欢的点和我认为不足的点来讲：
优点：
1.有什么比扮演一个超级无敌牛逼，传说中存在的神秘人物，所有吸血鬼都对你恭恭敬敬的流浪者体验吸血鬼故事更让人喜欢的呢？可以说，主角的背景在我这里绝对是加分项，别的游戏都是白手起家或者顶多就是个天才新人，这游戏一上来你就是最屌的。
2.我本人很喜欢吸血鬼的故事，各种整蛊的小法术，例如我玩的血法可以操控敌人自爆炸人，在开始的十小时流程中还是很有新鲜感的。
3.如果你很能脑补，不光光从游戏本身带给你的体验获得满足感，换句话说，你玩p社其他游戏能够从小人的某个选项中自己解读出来一整个完整的故事，那你可以试试这个游戏，很有脑补发挥空间。
4.剧情很不错，没有硬伤，并且法比安下线的时候我稍微哭了一小会，一个有血有肉的侦探，带着心里的正义毅然决然的守护主角，我很喜欢这种陪伴感。
5.战斗表现挺爽，各种处决很有视觉冲击力，强者就是要狠狠的霸凌弱者口牙！
缺点：
1.对于一个rpg来说，内容实在太匮乏了，真的，你就只能找那三个固定npc接三条任务支线，没有任何别的事情可以做，如果不是题材本身加上一些人物的刻画我喜欢得很，单单这一条就够我给差评了，虽然我买游戏基本不看价格，好玩就是好玩不好玩就是不好玩，但是对于这个价格的其他游戏来说，本作的内容实在太少。
2.为什么，为什么我龙姐不能当亲王！！！！我在整个流程中觉得龙就是那个最务实，最精明，最能够维护血族利益的人，然后你告诉我说，不论我怎么做，她都要死？？？不管我前面怎么选，最后龙都得死，那我做那么多事情干什么？
3.武器和战斗系统有些匮乏，优点里说战斗表现强是实话，这里也是实话，你说老祖起床不会用枪械...好吧，也可以，但是你给我做点装备啥的嘛，我不信长老连剑都不会用呀，只能用拳头抡人，用脚踹人，说实话感觉有点low了
4.外观我也想吐槽，虽然说有几套衣服我蛮喜欢的，但是游戏里本身也有很多不错，酷酷的衣服呀，为什么不开放给玩家呢？比如那几个妥芮朵npc穿的我就觉得很不错，虽然这个要求看起来有点吹毛求疵，但是我只是想让他做的更好一些嘛...

哎，说到底就是怒其不争，这个游戏有着很不错的框架，但是也能看出来是赶工出来的结果，要是能多做一些，多写一点，在这个框架里绝对可以有成为神作的潜力，实在是可惜...

On the surface, the story is interesting. But there is nothing deeper going on here.

The combat is fun at times and at other times, frustrating. You can't seem to pick what you use telekinesis on even with the vampire sight. It's always good to see the blade I want to pick up and pick up a body near it instead.

Fabien was a fun character but his sections are a slog and require you to suspend any interest in combat, movement or freewill. The ability to quicken his movement is welcome but you are listening to all stock NPC dialogue in helium. I could start to predict the structure of his sections and that was pretty disappointing.

The map is small. There is a limit to what you can interact with. It feels shallow especially when NPCs you pass say the same 4 lines it feels like. If the map is going to be this small then the NPCs and depth of the map need to be better. I would have liked to see NPCs interact with one another, have unusual conversations or even have routes. There are no cars on the road yet cars parked everywhere and a parking garage and an autorepair shop. You can hear a helicopter and never see it.

I understand Phyre is a set character - this lack of customisation, and backstory control is not what people look for in an RPG like this. Yes we could pick the gender, and elements of the appearance after the prologue but it was so limited that it felt like a game I could have played 10 years ago. Actually I think Mass Effect had better character creation options when it first came out.

I am confused about the updates for valentines day and christmas as it would be better to actually provide helpful and indepth updates to the playability of the game rather than cosmetics.

Overall, would not recommend.

Look first things first...its been said alot already...I is not Bloodlimes 2. That said it is still a good game. Story is good, some twist and turns. dialog is good and characters are interesting. The one that steals the show is Fabien. I would love a game with just him solving cases. His powers are some of the funniest in the game. Had a good laugh so many times.

OK, so thats the good. The OK part of the game is the combat and the low to lack of RPG in the game. I got to a point in the game I just turn down the settings to just make combat easy to get on with the game.

I love the original Bloodline game...still play it now and then....and this is and OK Vampire: The masquerade game, just not bloodlines 2. I waited a long time to buy it and its worth it on special. I dont think there is much replay to this game...since you know the story already and not much will change in the end.

Eğer Cyberpunk 2077'yi zamanında oynayıp sevdiyseniz bu oyunu çok daha fazla seveceğinize eminim. Evet Cyberpunk gibi biraz lineer ilerliyor ve zaman zaman belli insanlardan bolca emmeniz gerekebiliyor bu farming kısmı RPG keyfini azaltıyor diyebilirim. Öte yandan hikayesi gerçekten beni keyifle sürükledi, oyunun ilk 3 dakikasında görüyorsunuz o yüzden spoiler sayılmaz ama rahatsız olurum diyen devamını okumasın lütfen. Dedektif karakteri ayrı sevdim Nomad karakterimizi ayrı sevdim. Zamanlamaları, geçişleri, bu karakterlerin klanları falan o kadar yerinde seçilmiş ki akıyor diyebilirim. Savaşlar bosslar harici tekrara bağlıyor ancak bosslar güzel düşünülmüş, özellikle boss fight öncesi hikayeleri o kadar keyifli ki sizi "state of play"e sokuyor. Kötü yanlarından bahsetmem gerekirse zaman zaman karakterler yüklenmedi (RTX 4080 kullanıyorum), bu durumda ya reload to last save yapmanız ya da karşıdaki karakteri animasyonlarını görmezden gelerek ses-altyazı şeklinde ilerlemeniz gerekiyor. 11 saat oyun süresince 2 kere yaşadığım bir durum oldu.
Açıkçası ben biraz olsun aksiyon rpg seviyorum, vampirlere ilgim var diyen herkese öneriyorum.

Я не знаю кто тестировал игру на steamdeck но он наверное только в прологе бегал, там да фпс норм а вот в открытом мире это…… только в зданиях более норм ситуация но даже на минималках 15-25 с просадками при повороте камеры, учитывая что написано что игра отлично подходит для steamdeck. И пресет настроек по умолчанию высокий.

Decent WOD/WhiteWolf game, Awful Bloodlines sequel.

Paradox very obviously mishandled this game.

This game would of been much better off without the "Bloodlines" name, Overall its a decent action RPG, The Open World is pointless in a gameplay aspect, The Story is enjoyable and i heavily enjoyed most of the Characters, The Nomad/Fabien dynamic & dialogue is very fun to watch unfold, Choices really only matter for the various endings.

The game does a great job of making you feel like an "Elder" Vampire in combat, Sadly the amount of enemy types is very poor.

Lore wise, Tremere Nomad has almost no reaction to hearing the Pyramid is gone, Lasombra Nomad also has very little reaction to the Lasombra majority leaving the Sabbat and turning to the Camarilla.

Overall decent Action RPG, Good for people looking to get into the WOD world as it does a great job of informing people who would know nothing about the world, I had fun but id recommend waiting for a sale.

Very sad that Paradox has almost certainly killed off any hopes of RPG games and likely games overall for the WOD Universe.

This game present it self has a complete game but its realy just a patch up fail product.
This a lineare story game with no rpg or open world elements.
Combat feel hollow and boring.
Game pug and inconsitance. like wrong voice sound, helicopter sound witout showing it, police can attack you without reason (maybe realist but surly not intented)
The try and error part in Fabien dream should not even be a thing.
DONT BUY AT FULL PRICE AND EVENT THE 30% deal is not enough

This is the best immersive snowy city since The Division. It also has an excellent vampire power fantasy, and some fun characters. The only thing I'm missing so far is a way to clear out the haven. Come on, devs--Nobody wants that dead cat lying there forever.

This has to be one of the most aggressively mid games I've ever played. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't good either.

The story is lackluster and uninspired. I've played WoD pen and paper with hastily put together storylines that had more depth than this.

Not only that but the clan choice barely matters. You can unlock all abilities easily anyway and role-playing as your clan is almost non-existent. Sure there's a few choices you can make that could be considered following your clan, but ultimately it doesn't matter because of the way endings are handled. One ending is dependent on one single choice, make the wrong choice here and you are locked into that ending no matter what else you do. The other endings are basically dependent on whether you suck up to others or not. (Bit of an oversimplification but this is the gist of it).

Side quests are more poorly designed than the main story as they are all repetitive requests.

The romance in this game feels like an afterthought. It has no bearing on the game whatsoever and there's nothing to stop you from romancing everyone in a single playthrough.

The combat is fun, but short-lived as even on the highest difficulty it's still pretty easy to clear whole mobs in seconds. Which is the only thing in this game that truly makes sense, since even a weakened elder would slaughter younger vamps and ghouls.

Now let's get to the worst part, the characters. The characters in this game are terrible. They are all just so whiney, annoying and cringe. I found 2 characters who I actually liked and said things that actually made sense. One is irrelevant to the story altogether, another is the villain you're supposed to hate. Every other character just cries about everything and gets offended by the smallest thing. Why are these powerful immortal beings portrayed as such weak pathetic creatures? For me the characters and interacting with them was the worst part of the entire game, which in an rpg like this, should be one of the most enjoyable.

TL;DR I'd rate this game a 5/10. It didn't suck, but it wasn't good. I enjoyed combat however short it was, but the rest of the game was underwhelming. Get it on major sale or it's not worth it.

Its not bad, its not good. Had fun playing it? yes! It disgusts me to say i kinda liked it. I just wished this game didnt have "Bloodlines" on its title. It has NOTHING to do with Bloodlines, literally nothing. The RPG aspect is mediocre. Your choices basically do nothing. The endings are poopy. Combat is good. I just wish this was called Vampire: The Masquerade - Pyre or something. That way I could dream of one day playing an actual sequel to Bloodlines by Troika games. If you like WoD play it. If you dont, dont waste your money.

Its not the original but I dont hate it.

Combat is decent. Not a lot of options, but enough to have some fun. Dialogue and story is better than expected. VA is fair. Exploration is restricted to a small area but the way you climb buildings and glide around is fun.

Playing someone else's character dissapointed me and everytime they mentioned the name of the main character, "Phyre", a piece of my soul died. Its like something a nine year old would write. Everything seems to be a watered down version of the VtM rulebooks.

pourquoi en 2026 il n'est pas possible d'avoir un jeux qui connait le clavier AZERTY ? ou même qui nous laisse la possibilité de joué avec une manette ? non car je ne sait pas pourquoi mais joué a la manette était possible a la sortie du jeux , mais maintenant les touche sont mal mappé (impossible de bouger avec le joystick) donc obligé de joué clavier souris mais faut pas oublier que c'est en qwerty .... donc pas toujours évident surtout si tu joue pas a de longue session.
je regrette de l'avoir autant attendu , encore une preuve qu'il faut attendre les retour des journaliste ou des joueurs avant de prendre un jeux qui semble trop prometteur.
Bref le jeux est sympa mais il ne mérite pas 60 € prenez le a 25€ grand max ou mieux allez joué a Vampyr qui est un excellent jeu de vampire ^^

Предупреждение!!! Обзор содержит безрадостную и малограмотную графоманию, субъективщину и вкусовщину, не претендует на здравый смысл, а так же на полное или частичное попадание в истину. Все несогласные могут пойти куда им больше нравится.

Игра не лишена нуарной атмосферы и как умеет старается быть Миром Тьмы. То тут, то там лежат себе заметки, рассказывающие про устройство мира и сообщества сородичей, поясняющие используемую внутриигровую терминологию, что неплохо работает на погружение в контекст, если, кончено, не ломает от чтения текста. Время от времени можно поймать вкусные кусочки диалогов, которые сделаны неплохо, местами даже очень хорошо. Хотя бывают и досаднейшие огрехи. Бывает, что персонажи замирают в неестественной позе и так с тобой общаются, Бенни, например, не даст соврать. Утешает хорошая как по мне музыка, с увожением относящаяся к олдскулам 2010--2015, но не являющаяся ими в полной мере. Вообще, есть много приятных деталей, как бы оживляющих мир и дающих ему атмосферу, задающих контекст и цвет всего происходящего. Игра поощряет внимание и любознательность, так как в ней можно найти приятных интересностей, но вместе с тем за это же и наказывает, не копайте слишком уж глубоко, не рассмытривайте слишком уж детально, чтобы не испортить себе впечатление. Нет особого смысла изучать мир вне сюжетных маркеров, он довольно пуст и однообразен.

Конечно же здесь есть отсылки к культовому предку, дающие повод вспомнить о том, как же хорошо это было.

Но чтобы погружение как следует сработало, чтобы получить хоть какое-то удовольствие от игры, нужно дать ей шанс, причем сделать это с некоторым усилием над собой, как бы постараться абстрагироваться от всего о ней сказанного и от своих собственных ожиданий на её счёт. Хорошо оказывается тем, кто не знаком с достопочтенным игровым предком, задающим непомерно высокую планку. У таких нет завышенных ожиданий, которые даже лучшие из лучших едва ли смогут вкусно накормить. Эта хрестоматийная ловушка продолжения культовых игр работает как железное правило, почти так же хорошо, как и закон подлости, который лишь из подлости делает время от времени исключения, предлагая заведомо ложную надежду наивным и всё ещё ищущим счастья. ыыыыуа

По игре у нас тут экшон от первого лица с вампирскими штуками, тогда как все мы ждали рпг. Впрочем, всё тлен...

Помимо экшона мы имеем постнуарные разговоры разной степени хорошести, пока игра имеет наши ожидания, ещё у нас есть дубльджумпы для решения геймплейных задач по запрыгиванию и всякому сопутствующему веселью, дэш, который как парирование работает, есть вампирское зрение, телекинез, голоса в голове, парение, дисциплины есть, которые могли бы быть и лучше, но и хуже тоже могли бы.

Если сравнивать с достопочтенным предком, то у нас осталось понятие маскарада, который теперь работает таким образом, что для его восстановления достаточно посидеть тихо какое-то время, диалоги с разными вариантами, разные концовки имеются. Здесь всё не так уж и плохо. Всё, что касается истори, атмосферы, музыки сделано недурно. Но вот оптимизация и техническая часть оставляют желать СИЛЬНО лучшего. Очень спорная боевка. Не могу сказать, что она прямо через край плохая, но и восхитительной я бы её не назвал. Если вы хотите использовать оружие, прокачивать оружейные навыки, делать выбор между дисциплинами, оружейными, социальными навыками при развитии персонажа, как это было у благородного предка, то забудьте. В бою у нас кулачки, дисциплины, способности. Притом дисциплины открываются за опыт и на этом наше развитие всё. Кто вообще это придумал?

Из активностей помимо основной сюжетки имеются увлекательные приключения в стиле найди и сотри столько-то граффити и будет тебе счастье, выследи и убей персонажа, отнеси такую-то штуку туда-то или собери столько-то предметов. Все мы страсть как обожаем подобные движухи. Мир красивый и стильный, но пустой и как бы мертвый, машины не ездят, свет на светофорах не меняется, люди вроде бы ходят и что-то делают и это как-то даже работает, но стоит чуть приглядеться и иллюзия сразу же пропадает. Вроде бы есть дополнительные активности, но они в худших традициях квестостроения, есть прокачка, но она довольно убогая, есть красивый и интересный мир, но он полупустой. Всё это спасают выразительные персонажи и довольно неплохая история.

Жаль, что мы лишены возможности быстрого перемещения, иногда это могло бы пригодиться. С другой стороны предоставленный нам мир не так уж и огромен, чтобы это было критично.

Повествование идет в настоящем и прошлом времени. Если в настоящем у нас экшен с боями, разговорами, стелсом от лица пробудившегося, но обессиленоого старейшины, то в прошлом у нас идет нуарное повествование за малка-детектива, который обладает очень даже интересным набором ментальных дисциплин. Мир мрачный, сильно потрепанный, в нем сталкиваются противоречащие друг другу интересы, и пожаром вспыхивают конфликты, а скелеты то и дело выбираются из шкафа.

Короче, шесть из десяти за историю и персонажей, но не за костюмы, боевку, прокачку, оптимизацию, дополнительные активности и прочие печальности. Игровых часов тут примерно 35-40 при очень неторопливом прохождении, а вообще часов за 20-25 пробежать можно. К ознакомлению всё же мог бы рекомендовать. Но на свой страх и риск. Здесь многое может опечалить, но кое что способно и порадовать. Не сказать, что игра шедевр, не сказать, что хорошая, она не плохая, но мы, определенно, столько лет, ждали не этого.

Я меняю свой обзор, так как игра стала работать нормально, даже хорошо при максимальных. Возможно, дело бы в том, что у меня, наверное, был майнер или нечто похожее. Я понял это только сегодня, когда в простое видеокарта нагрелась до 65 градусов. В общем, я вроде избавился, компьютер стал тише. А игру я рекомендую. Она шикарна, хотя открытый мир пустоват, но геймплей и сюжет хорошие. Тем более скоро выйдет dlc. Так что берите и наслаждайтесь человеческой кровью.

Buon gioco, non un buon sequel. The Chiese Room ha fatto quello che poteva con i tempi e l'esperienza che aveva. Ottimizzazione un pò cosi, con cali di frame mentre si va in giro per Seattle. la storia non è male, il combat system è interessante ma il fatto che gli achievement legati ad esso siano stati raggiunti neanche dal 10% mi fa capire che in molti non ci hanno capito tanto.

Awful game. Whether or not you're a fan of the prior titles or the WoD franchise: This game is the shameful disfigured lovechild of a blue-haired activists and a landwhalish developer team. Nonsensical dialogues full of quips and reddit/twitter-speak, overall nonsensical and extremely boring story, bland and forgetable characters, no noteworthy roleplay elements, even worse and floaty combat. Buy this game as a gift for someone you truly hate.

Just wow. First off the story sucks its so uninteresting and painfully boring i was falling asleep during it. The gameplay also blows the combat is pure garbage its genuinely so unfun to fight people the only cool part of the fighting was at the start of the game when you fling a guy into the door. The skill tree doesnt feel like a skill tree its more comparable to selecting 2 abilities you can use nothing to improve skills its just a back4blood card system. The gameplay of this is just genuinely not fun or enjoyable in any capacity the game isn't fun bad its just bad don't waste your money by buying it or waste your time its not worth it.

So I have no personal gameplay experience with 5e Vampire, which BL2 takes heavy influence from. This is mostly because they've watered down the clans, taken away their uniqueness, and generally just softened the World of Darkness because they're afraid of offending someone unless it's someone they explicitely told the game isn't for them. You're playing a vampire. You're a monster. You feed on people to survive. You're playing a character and that character doesn't have to reflect you or the beliefs you hold. It can be as heartless or as humane as you want. Simple. It's roleplaying.

That said, I do have experience with 2.0/Revised VtM - back when Malkavians were crazy and commanded the terrifying Discipline of Dementation. Back before they merged some clans together. Before Dominate became "I can make you kill yourself" because they weren't gonna make an ability so OP and violate free will. Back when the World of Darkness was very much dark, real, and visceral. Let me be clear: I didn't come into BL2 expecting the game I fell in love with. I didn't come into it expecting full 5e. I didn't even come into this with any familiarity with its predecesor outside of watching someone I know argue with a stop sign among a few other things.

Now BL2 is interesting. Very visual novel in a videogame format. My disappointment comes from the storyline that had potential but feels poorly executed in many places. I still can't fathom justifying an elder turned into an errand runner (especially one with a reputation like the one the Nomad supposedly has) - there seems to be a lack of appropriate fear and respect even from characters that claim the Nomad is so powerful. I do appreciate that there was an acceptable reason given regarding why the Nomad is so weak and has to relearn abilities, but it's revealed far into the gameplay unless you're good at making inferences. Until the pieces fall into place it feels very arbitrary. (Also, why can't I drink the rats? How many people in the opening scene wanted to catch the rat?)

I was impressed that some of the characters do feel like they fit the clans (as I know them) but some of the dialog feels like it was written by a middle school or highschool edgelord. It's cringe. I did really enjoy Benny, Fabian, Lou, and Thorn. Those four were delightful. Many of the female characters felt like slightly altered copies of each other. Early on, the voice acting felt forced but later dialog seemed to find a rhythm. I especially enjoyed the conversations between Fabian and Nomad (Phyre was a terrible name choice and falls in line with the edgelord crap when I was back in middle and high school but it does have a sort of tongue-in-cheek quality.)

Gameplay was slow and tedius - not what I expected from "action" rpg. I spent more time wandering around because I felt no agency for the quests (main or side). I do appreciate it wasn't required to be stealthy or brutal when it came to dealing with enemies. I appreciate the game was set up for those who enjoyed combat and those more interested in storyline. There were parts that got my interest and overall it was good enough that I wanted to see things to the end at least once. I wouldn't have bought the game for myself (my brother-in-law did this for an early Christmas gift) but I can at least walk away with an appreciation for the effort that went into it even if it's not the VtM I know and came to love - personal horror mixed with the good, the bad, and the ugly.

That said, I don't foresee myself picking up and playing this game for another run now that I've completed it. I had intended to try for a full completion of side quests but ran into the bug where you can only get 8/9 crosses and I don't have the desire to hunt specific blood attunements to get the points needed to unlock all the affinities, which still really makes things uncomfortable because vampires drinking from other vampires risks "blood bonds" in my player brain. (Most are not looking to bind themselves to someone - especially the Tremere as in 2.0/Revised they are more vulnerable to the bond than the other clans.) I also appreciate that the breaches of The Masquerade are addressed and handled to an extent rather than glossed over.

Overall better than expected and it did have some tidbits that felt like it was from the old lore, but it is very obviously "modern VtM". It was at least enough to make this something familiar for me even with the predictable "plot twists" and the removed lore that (to me) made some of the clans particularly interesting. It's not enough for me to recommend this game to anyone who loved Revised or the Old WoD in general.

Lastly? The biggest killer for me was the fact you can't save so you have no choice but to keep going until you find a checkpoint. This makes it impossible to stop in some cases. Like when...oh...someone knocks on the door or something.
