I played the tutorial and one of the single player missions, I like the concept of the game but I think it's as bad as everyone says. Which is a shame because I think the concept would have been cool if done correctly.

Данная игра показывает суровую работу бойца Амбреллы 3А-7. Игра даёт прямой челлендж. На последних этапах ты буквально боишься лишний раз прыгнуть куда или сделать неверное движение. Враги жрут тебя. Жаль онлайн мёртв, так бы побегал. Ну а если серьёзно очень паршивый кусок геймдева и в целом слабая игра не раскрывающая никакой сюжет(хоть и считается каноном в истории). Стрельба прикольная, но скучный геймплей всё портит, может в онлайне было бы правда веселее.

MAIS...
Déjà il devrait y avoir un mode PvE, pouvoir exploser des zombie dans un RE avec des potes je trouve que ça rajouterait un max de fun. En soit faire du nerveux et du compet ok, mais RE de base c'est les zombies et les BOW (Bio Organic Weapon, les monstres spéciaux quoi, type slickers ou MR X). Donc faire du PvP à la dure Dans cet univers je trouve pas ça assez raccord. en PvE style extraction par contre là ça tuerait, tout en gardant le gameplay

Between you and me, I know the game doesn't have a lot of content, just a few maps at most. However, it's a good way to blow off steam, and it's lacking players because I never see anyone playing it. So yes, the so-called story mode is bland and just involves killing hordes of zombies. But the multiplayer mode is great; the maps are varied, the objectives are too—in short, it's cool, and frankly, it doesn't have the success it deserves.

Не знаю, зачем они выпускают такую ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ в нормальной старой серии. Никакущий жутко однообразный пресный экшн, в котором позже по ходу игры начинается абсолютно невменозная непроходимая сложность миссий. Прослеживается нормальная идея, графика и местами даже нормальная музыка, но в этом виде выпускать эту игру им не стоило.

Hot garbage, even if there were people to play it, it's so empty of anything to do. I thought my friends and I could at least meme through some co-op missions but turns out THAT'S NOT A THING. Guess we mixed some things together with Operation Raccoon City, my bad, but the game wouldn't be better without that assumption.

Capcom has tried making PvP Resident Evil many times and failed every time, but they just keep trying without looking at what went wrong and why people didn't like it. They have "The Experiment" which is the only PvE in this game and the only thing you can play at this point due to no one playing the online anymore, which is very repetitive and boring.

Out of all the PvP failed attempts I would say this one has the best gun play but that is cause the others have been really bad.

Alright, you've obviously seen the reviews about this game.
And yes in fact it could be better, the game was abandoned one month after release and it could have been more polished, however, it's not the worst, it is different from the main RE games and the horror/survival aspect but it still can be fun, from the little time i spent on it to test it i can say that even in it's current condition if you have friends to play the online mode with you will have lots of fun, as for the single player "experiment" mode it is pretty repetitive but it can still keep you occupied for a bit, for it's price i would suggest against getting it but if you can find it around 3-4 Euro and you want to play it with your friends i believe it would be worth it, it is disappointing for a RE game but if you don't see it as one and just take it as it is you will have a good time.

If you want to Resident Evil 2 Remake and this Umbrella Corps. Hunk whose name is Alpha in Resident Evil 2 Remake is Chris Redfield. This will prove that Commander is not Hunk, unless if proven that Commander is not a clone or imitation, then Chris was there in RE9 to protect the Elpis because they know that Umbrella made a cure but Leon wants to destroy it believing that Elpis is a virus.

I didn't wish to refund this game, but between:

- being unable to find any players for a match
- trying the most bare-bones excuse of a "single player campaign"
- experiencing a game breaking sound bug that started crashing the game upon every single launch attempt

... there's simply no reason to keep this game, even as a RE player who enjoys all types of experimental RE games.

What's frustrating is that there could have been a great game here. The game controls way better than it looks like it does, the agility and responsiveness is extremely good for a RE game.

The weapon/outfit customization is actually quite insane. You can change helmets, weapon attachments, colour schemes for both the weapons and different parts of the outfit, custom stickers with custom sizes - it's quite deep for a Resident Evil game. I love the idea of customizing a Division-style tactical soldier ... but with no ability to find online matchmaking, leveling up to unlock more customization options is just not going to work, rendering its biggest selling point (for me) useless.

Cool concept, but total waste of execution. This should have been like the Division but with zombies. Closer to a game like ORC. Considering Capcom and Ubisoft had a Division collaboration a while ago, it's quite obvious Capcom knows this already, which makes the existence of this game even more baffling.

I'm not sure why the online RE games they keep making are the ones no one asks for. Even on deep sale (5-6 euros), the game's just not worth it.

In this abysmal state, it's not even worth owning for free.

There's no point in owning it beyond just for the sake of saying you bought it before it gets delisted - which (unless it ever gets fixed) it honestly should be.

This game consists of you clearing the same small map of zombies up to 10 times before exploring another map, the narrative is negligible so youre doing the same thing over and over and over.
Graphics, combat and environment are amazing, so its good eye candy and bad gameplay.

I can see the appeal if you're super into anything Umbrella or RE, just misunderstood and abandoned (prob just a tax right off) if they had fixed some of the main issues this game had like movement speed, it could've had a chance at a small player base. That being said buy it on sale, not $20.

I'm just surprised that you still buy this piece of crap. I wouldn't recommend doing so unless you get it on its $5 sale so that you can have it in your library before it's inevitably delisted.

Anyways, not worth your time. Nobody's playing this. There is technically a single player mode but it is the most repetitive single player RE experience ever.
"Kill all the bad guys"
"Collect all the briefcases"
"Stand in the circles"
Repeat that 20+ times while getting little story bits that feel like they were written by a 12 year old. There ya go.

Umbrella Corps es un experimento de [b]Acción[/b] que se disfraza de “táctico” y “competitivo” mientras te lanza a ti (y a tu dignidad) a tiroteos rápidos en mapas con estética de laboratorio/ruina post-brote, donde los zombis son más decoración peligrosa que amenaza principal. La idea es clara: PvP en equipos con disparos entre primera/tercera persona, un toque de gore y un intento de vibra Resident Evil… pero en formato “arena” compacta.

La primera impresión es como abrir un maletín de Umbrella: por fuera promete tecnología y caos controlado; por dentro hay cosas raras, algunas útiles, y otras que preferirías no tocar sin guantes. Tiene modo de un jugador, pero el corazón del juego es el multijugador… lo cual sería fantástico si no estuviera actualmente practicando la [i]supervivencia extrema[/i] con [b]0 jugadores[/b]. Sí: el virus ganó.

Umbrella Corps es el tipo de juego que quiso ser competitivo, táctico y sangriento, pero terminó siendo una cápsula del tiempo: un shooter de acción con estética biológica que hoy se siente como entrar a una sala de pruebas abandonada. Lo más irónico es que tiene todo el kit social (JcJ en línea, equipos, tablas)… y aun así está [b]desierto[/b].

Con [b]0 jugadores actuales[/b], la experiencia multijugador —su razón de existir— prácticamente no existe. Y aunque tenga [b]1239 recomendaciones totales[/b], eso suena más a “hubo un momento” que a “hay un presente”. Si lo tuyo es completar logros, curiosear un spin-off raro y ver gore en espacios cerrados, podrías rascar algo. Si buscas PvP vivo… esto es un cementerio con conexión a Steam Cloud.

Eu amo muito a franquia RE e detesto ter que dar review negativo pra alguma coisa, mas esse jogo aqui beira o cumulo do ridiculo e um desperdicio de dinheiro também, pra começar esse jogo foi lançado como um ''presente'' de aniversario em comemoração de 20 anos da franquia o que por si só chega a ser uma sacanagem de muito mal gosto. apesar da gente entender o ''desespero'' que a Capcom passava naquela epoca. antes do boom que foi o RE7 e a volta da era de ouro da Capcom, o pior disso tudo é que a gameplay desse jogo é boa e frenetica pra quem curte shooter competitivo mas fica só nisso mesmo, o jogo nunca teve uma base de players ativa como foi o caso do Resistance por exemplo, já nasceu morto o modo ''Campanha'' do jogo é ridiculo é basicamente o modo multiplayer porém Solo e é extremamente Dificil nas missoes finais, é também facilmente a Pior platina que já fiz na minha vida no sentido de ser ruim e chato mesmo eu só fiz por que amo muito essa franquia e botei como meta em ter todos os jogos da Saga Platinada. basicamente os unicos pontos positivos desse jogo seja a trilha sonora que eu gostei bastante, e os fan services de mapas. enfim a minha recomendação é apenas ignorar esse jogo e fingir que nunca existiu.

Como fan de Resident Evil que conoce a fondo el lore de la saga y ha conseguido todos los trofeos, Umbrella Corps es, siendo honesto, una de las mayores decepciones dentro del universo Resident Evil, no porque fuera un mal concepto, sino porque tenía un potencial enorme que nunca llegó a aprovecharse.

La idea base era muy interesante: mostrar el lado más militar y corporativo del mundo de Resident Evil, los conflictos entre compañías, los mercenarios, las operaciones encubiertas tras la caída de Umbrella… todo ese trasfondo que siempre ha estado ahí, pero casi nunca se ha explorado en profundidad. Como complemento al lore, el juego podía haber sido algo único. Lamentablemente, eso se quedó solo en una idea.

En la práctica, Umbrella Corps se siente vacío de contenido narrativo. La campaña es mínima, poco inspirada y no logra desarrollar una historia que conecte realmente con el universo Resident Evil. No hay personajes memorables, ni contexto sólido, ni una sensación de estar viviendo algo importante dentro del lore. Para un fan, esto se siente como una oportunidad completamente desperdiciada, especialmente cuando el enfoque militar daba pie a contar mucho más.

Donde el juego sí brilla es en el modo versus. A nivel jugable, es rápido, intenso y muy competitivo. Los combates son directos, el diseño de mapas funciona bien y el sistema de juego tiene ideas interesantes que lo hacen divertido, sobre todo en partidas multijugador. Como shooter competitivo, Umbrella Corps cumple e incluso destaca en algunos momentos.

Sin embargo, ese buen modo versus no es suficiente para sostener el conjunto. Le faltó una campaña real, con peso narrativo, que explorara a fondo a los soldados de las corporaciones, las guerras privadas entre empresas y las consecuencias del bioterrorismo desde otro punto de vista. Algo más cercano a una historia de operaciones especiales dentro del mundo Resident Evil habría elevado enormemente la experiencia.

En conclusión, Umbrella Corps es un juego que se quedó corto. Tiene un modo versus muy sólido y divertido, pero como experiencia dentro del universo Resident Evil se siente incompleto y vacío. Para los fans del lore, duele ver cuánto pudo haber aportado y cuánto terminó desaprovechando. Un experimento interesante, sí, pero uno que nunca llegó a despegar.

Why do I do this to myself?
I tried.
I really tried.
Why? I couldn't tell you.
I'm a bit of a completionist. Not in the "get all the achievements" way, but in the "I will finish a game if I start it" way.
I started this game and I made it a good way into the story mode. Why? Couldn't tell you. Maybe it's because the feeling of seeing something through to completion is something that I lack in my life. I've started scripts and novels, there are so many aspects in my life that I've wanted to see through to fruition and I just can't for whatever reason. I try to get the smallest crumb of that feeling by working through a game to completion.
I couldn't finish Umbrella Corps.
It's a waste of my life to play something so soulless. I realized that about 75% of the way in.
Capcom clearly put in no effort, so why should I?
Don't play this. Don't interact with this game. If you want a "so bad it's good" game, there are games out there made with actual passion that just missed the mark that you can play.
Don't waste your time like I did.

Игра, от которой CAPCOM открестился и убрал название Resident Evil. Её можно было бы считать чем-то более-менее нормальным, если бы не Unity. Чувство, будто играешь в игры-рекламы на телефоне, но я приведу ещё минусы игры:

- Онлайн мёртвый;
- Карты маленькие, учитывая гиперактивность персонажей, и ничего нового не представляют;
- Зомби... Мешаются, вот что они делают в этой игре (я молчу про собак и ворон);
- Зомби умирают, превращаются в фарш и восстают из него, что полностью портит всю игру;
- Физики нет;
- Стрельба никакая: отдачи нет, а разброс как с закрытыми глазами;
- Нестабильность работы, при которой FPS может внезапно умереть вместе с зомби, а потом воскреснуть и отправить камеру в свободный полёт.

Думаю можно продолжить список, если разбирать все нюансы. Трейлеры выглядят гораздо выразительнее, но это пока не попробуешь самолично. Немножко плюсов "накину всё же на вентилятор":

+ Кастомизация простая, но всё же приятная, особенно после таких минусов;
+ Геймплей динамичный, хоть и не такой, как DOOM;
+ Компанией 3 на 3 интереснее играть, особенно когда заходишь с друзьями почилить;
+ Хоть какая-то сюжетка есть, пускай и в текстовом виде с миссиями, которые постоянно встречаются в онлайне (про сложность молчу, это адово и требует своего подхода).

Вывод: Это аркадная игрушка-пострелушка на вечерок-другой, в которую стоит залетать со своей пати, иначе это нуднятина, особенно с достижениями (чтобы получить одно достижение, надо в игре все 192 выполнить). Советовать я этот проект я не буду. Жаль, что написано "CAPCOM"

I actually genuinely like Umbrella Corps, it expands upon the third person multiplayer aspect with Resident Evil themes, characters, and enemies. It was a lot of fun in its hayday and I'm not exactly sure why it has so much hate. Me and my friends truly loved this game and I find myself going back to it often to see if there is anyone still around! Much like Operation Raccoon City, this game is a rough gem that people immediately hate but is actually genuinely a fun time.
