The game world is a side-scrolling 3D environment that is of linear direction. There are some good hidden areas and secrets to be found, but the majority of the time, it’s a single path forward with no extensive exploration. Throughout the game, you visit a variety of locales, like a forest, castles, and lava-filled caves.

The narrative is present, but only seems to serve as an objective. It’s not deep and I would have preferred it to be more fleshed out, especially the characters as there’s not much dialog to be had. It’s a very fairy tale setting with even the ending concluding with [spoiler]a happily ever after[/spoiler].

[h1][b] Gameplay (Mechanics/Difficulty) – [7/10] [/b] [/h1]
The mechanics are based around puzzles and combat. I’d estimate it’s about a 70/30 split, in favor of puzzles. You have 3 characters - Wizard, Thief, and Knight. The Wizard specializes in conjuring platforms and moving items, not very much in combat. The Thief is ranged attack with a bow and grappling with a hook claw. The Knight is close-quarters combat with a shield.
What I found great is the physics-based puzzles. Despite the game world being linear, there are usually multiple ways around a puzzle. For example, often times an EXP globe would be out of reach, so instead of trying to find a way up there, I could knock it down with objects.
The game also has a simple skill progression and item system with loot that slightly enhances character abilities. This is a nice touch, but normally very simple and optional.

The difficulty I found to be easy. I rarely got stuck on any puzzles, and combat is generally a breeze. I like with the different character abilities, I was always ready to go with a solution.

Despite how old it is, I think the game aged well. It looks good. I’d say a solid PS3-era look.

On the technical side, it runs fine, with a few small areas of slowdown. I played the game maxed with there being only a few simple graphic options.
I didn’t notice too many bugs, the most common ones was enemy pathing with enemies constantly getting stuck.

Good audio, I enjoyed the music. It has a real fairy tale vibe.

There is voice acting, it’s not a lot, just a couple of sentences before each level and the narrator. But it’s good.

Not a whole lot of replay value. There are achievements, but as far as I can tell, nothing new from replaying.

Trine is a side scrolling puzzle platformer with combat sprinkled in. The gimmick here is that you play three characters as one and constantly shift between them to either prevail in combat or solve puzzles as each character has their own unique abilities.

I really liked the setting and the physics-based puzzles. While there was nothing overwhelmingly difficult, I felt that each objective showcased a combination of the characters abilities. Using the Wizard to conjure a platform that the Thief can use to swing on is one of many possibilities to reach areas that would normally be impossible.

There’s not a lot to dislike here, as I think Trine is a solid all-around game. I’d say the lack of enemy variety can get old, and the controls can get a bit iffy. Despite it being a platformer, I chose to use KBM over controller and I loved the aiming, but admittedly, some of the controls are frustrating, like levers and platforming.

Overall, I do recommend Trine, I found it to be a fun adventure with good puzzles.

Parádní začátek dobrodružství našich hrdinů. Dobrodružná skákačka s logickými hádankami, příběhem o osvobození království z područí nemrtvých a všudypřítomné překážky, včetně nepřátel ztěžujících postup.
Jediný problém je s nekonzistentností z hlediska možností průchodu hrdinů lokacemi, protože většina cest a překážek se dá překonat díky lučišnici Zoje. Malý hřích, který je vyřešen ve druhém díle hry. :)

The game itself is fine enough, even if it's a bit short and rough at times. What I don't understand is why they felt the need to add Epic DRM to the game over 15 years after the game released. Usually, companies tend to remove DRM down the line, not add it. It also breaks online co-op with a vague "error 0" message, which isn't very helpful. Luckily, they keep a separate branch with the version before the added DRM, which took me some time to realise was needed for online co-op, but it just makes it even more baffling why they would add new DRM you can so easily bypass.

Puzzle bacana, jogabilidade divertida, platina legal, bonitinho.

Review básica para um jogo básico.

Ele é prioritariamente um jogo de puzzle. tem combates, são bem fracos.

São 3 personagens, cada um com sua habilidade:
- Ladra pode soltar um ganho para se locomover e atacar de arco
- Mago pode fazer caixa e ponte
- Guerreiro bate.

Imagina puzzle com todos eles, é isso haha

PS: 80% do jogo ou jogo de ladra, pois é muito legal brincar de miranha com ela, e atirar flecha nos inimigos, e quebrar um pouco o jogo, pois ele é baseado em física também, e ela quebra bem a imersão.

Sobre a franquia, o 2 eu acho que se perde um pouco, tentando deixar os puzzles mais densos e a física menos quebrada, que no final, ficou mais chato.

O 3 eu não joguei, ele é em 3d, parece estranho
O 4 lembra MUITO o 1, o que é legal, platinei bem feliz também
O 5 ta caro , joguei não hahahah

The fact that this installs Epic Online Software on my PC without my permission is a huge red flag. I don't like Epic. I don't trust Epic. I don't want Epic software on my PC. So screw these devs. I read somewhere else someone had to block it from sending info to Epic EVERY time you launch the game, so that's again, another reason I hope these devs don't deserve to be in the industry.

Trine feels like a real fairy tale exactly the kind I imagined as a kid.

Es como un cuento de fantasía.
Visualmente se le notan los años pero está bonito. Tiene la trama clásica de una campaña de DnD, donde se juntan los heroes y tienen que viajar para salvar el mundo de un malvado hechicero (igual me he columpiado con lo de DnD).
Muy guapa la banda sonora, y el gameplay es rollo Metroidvania con puzzles. Tienes 3 personajes, la ladrona que te da movilidad, el caballero que sirve para el combate, y el mago que te da tanto movilidad como utilidad para resolver "puzzles" o mas bien ayudarte a abrirte paso por cada nivel.
Me gustó en general, aunque el plataformeo a veces es un poco desesperante.

Trine Enchanted Edition es ese platformer de rompecabezas en 2D con fantasía “preciosa” que te vende magia, física y cooperación como si fueran un paquete de terapia grupal: tres héroes, un mundo de cuento y un montón de objetos moviéndose para que tú finjas que eres ingeniero… hasta que apilas cajas como cavernícola y funciona igual.

En lo jugable mezcla Acción y Aventura con alma Indie: saltitos, combates sencillos y puzzles basados en física donde alternas habilidades entre personajes para avanzar. En solitario es entretenido; en cooperativo (local u online) es donde el juego se vuelve una comedia: uno intenta resolver, otro experimenta, y el tercero “aporta” cayéndose al vacío por décima vez.

La primera impresión es clara: se ve bonito, suena mejor de lo que muchos juegos modernos se merecen, y se siente como un clásico que sigue vigente… aunque también se nota que viene de otra época, cuando “puzzle” a veces significaba “mueve cosas hasta que algo deje de estorbar”.

Trine Enchanted Edition es como ese libro ilustrado que no te cambia la vida, pero te la hace más bonita por un rato. Su plataforma con rompecabezas y física funciona, su ambientación enamora y el cooperativo convierte cada nivel en una mezcla de creatividad y desastre controlado.

¿Es perfecto? No. La acción se queda corta, la historia no pretende competir con nadie, y algunos desafíos se sienten más “mecánica” que “ingenio”. Pero como experiencia de Aventura Indie con corazón, cumple de sobra.

Y aunque solo haya 20 jugadores activos ahora mismo, las 12603 recomendaciones totales no están ahí por accidente: este juego ya se ganó su lugar como clásico querido. No es el más popular hoy, pero sí de los que envejecen con dignidad.

Ein gutes Indie-Spiel, das man zu dritt durchspielen kann. Die Story ist banal, wie in einem Kindermärchen, dafür die Charakterauswahl richtig cool. Interessantes Gameplay, bei dem man den Charakter schnell wechseln und Skills zwischen ihnen kombinieren kann. Die Optik ist ziemlich bunt, an einigen Stellen etwas düster. Auch die Musik ist von hoher Qualität und ergänzt die Fantasy-Welt perfekt.

Alles in allem ist das Spiel nicht lang, aber es hat viele positive Emotionen gebracht, vor allem das letzte Level sticht hervor. Ich würde mir mehr PvE-Modi wünschen und definitiv müsste man Großvater Amadeus besser ausbalancieren.

Trine é um jogo muito divertido que pode ser jogado sozinho ou com até três jogadores. Você controla três personagens diferentes: Arqueira, Mago e Guerreiro, cada um com habilidades únicas que são usadas para resolver puzzles e avançar pelas fases.

No modo multiplayer, cada jogador assume um personagem, o que deixa tudo ainda mais legal, já que o progresso depende bastante da cooperação entre o grupo. Um ajuda o outro o tempo todo, e isso deixa a experiência bem divertida.

É um jogo curto, direto e com uma gameplay flexível, permitindo resolver os desafios de mais de uma forma. Além disso, o visual é muito bonito e dá um charme especial ao jogo.

Обзор закончен, 10 грузных рыцарей из 10, далее следует бессюжетный очерк, полёт мысли, в котором мне куда как проще выразить любовь к этому произведению.

В те дни, когда свет ещё не покинул древние земли окончательно, а тьма лишь примеряла на себя роль властителя, трое странников шли путём, о котором не пели менестрели и который не значился ни на одной карте.

Камень под ногами был стар и истёрт —не только временем, но и магией. Своды над головами поднимались высоко и печально, каждый вздох отзывался эхом песен забытых народов.

Сквозь трещины в потолке просачивался свет. Лучи ложились на пол узкими полосами, выхватывая из полумрака обломки колонн, осевшие плиты и следы когда-то проложенной дороги. Воздух был холоден, но не мёртв — он двигался, едва заметно, дыша вместе с пещерой.

Понтий шёл впереди, как и подобает рыцарю, чья клятва была принесена не столько короне, сколько самому понятию долга. Его доспехи потускнели, но не утратили достоинства; каждый шаг отзывался гулким звуком, будто земля признавала его и позволяла пройти. Он ступал осторожно, проверяя каждую плиту носком сапога, прежде чем перенести вес, и держал голову прямо.

Позади шёл Амадей, слегка склонив голову и прислушиваясь к окружению. Магия здесь текла нестабильно, подобно реке, чьё русло было нарушено давним бедствием. Он чувствовал её тревогу, усталость, и потому держал посох наготове.

Зои замыкала путь. Она ступала легко, почти бесшумно, будучи признанной хозяйкой теней. Её взгляд скользил по граням колонн и проломам в кладке, подмечая то, что ускользало от других: выгодные позиции, скрытые прохода, диковинные и явно неслучайные проёмы.

Они вошли в залы без потолка, где небесный свет падал вниз широким столпом, освещая круг древних плит. Мох пророс между ними, мягкий и серебристый, а в центре зала покоились останки тех, кто не успел уйти вовремя.

— Равновесие этого места когда-то нарушили, — негромко произнёс Амадей, всматриваясь, — и оно ещё помнит об этом. И злится.

Понтий опустил меч, почесал затылок и покрутился вокруг своей оси.
 — Тогда не будем его беспокоить. Задерживаться тут незачем.

Дальше путь стал труднее. Каменные мосты обрывались внезапно, лестницы вели в пустоту, и продвигаться удавалось лишь благодаря воле, слаженности и редким всполохам магии.

Поднимались скелеты — безмолвные, ведомые остатками древнейших заклятий, — и падали, рассыпаясь в прах с сухим хрустом. Когда бой стихал — герои вставали среди обломков, и свет медленно возвращался в зал, будто само пространство переводило дыхание.

Впереди, за полуразрушенной аркой, мерцал символ Трайна. Его ровный и спокойный свет не внушал ничего обнадёживающего.

Зоя задержалась на миг, проводив взглядом спутников. Они без обсуждений двинулись к артефакту.

 — Некоторые вещи не меняются, — с сожалением подметила воровка, догоняя друзей.

Амадей лишь кивнул. Понтий, не оборачиваясь, поправил щит, и металл негромко звякнул, подтверждая его решение. 

И так они продолжили путь — через руины и тьму, через сомнение и долг, пока дорога, сложенная из камня и судеб, не увела их дальше, туда, где история ещё не была дописана.

Крутая задумка, атмосфера, хороший и не карявый гемплей. Выбор, как удобней для игрока (например можно одновременно играть одним персонажем, или можно отключить эту функцию), это позволит остаться и играть людям с разными предпочтениями, а также сюжет.

The game itself is 10/10, but unfortunately it is between almost and completely unplayable for technical reasons. The native linux version is a dumpster fire. Don't bother with it. Proton is better, but controller support is spotty, it likes to lock up periodically, and sometimes inputs fall so far behind real time that the game becomes unplayable. There's nothing like watching your character dive head-long into the spikes because the game doesn't realize you let go of the thumb stick 5 seconds ago. I'd return it, but I'm already past the cut off. It could have been great, but it's probably really not worth your time.

Для любителей гоняться за достижениями на сложном сложности + хардкор я не рекомендую скелеты мало того что жирные как ваши друзья в ПРЯМОМ в смысле почему а они шире шкафа ебанутся когда перепроходил финальную локу не добил пару костяшек эти с виду беспомощные шкилы в лаву скидывали то с разгону или случайным прыжком куда-то заблокировав мне к прыжку к другой платформе любой мазохист прошедший эту игру на харде поймет мои страдания
