Great game, and the music is spectacular!
I am only two hours into the game, but I have thoroughly enjoyed it and am excited to see what lies ahead!
Like original Final Fantasy like on the Nintendo but with the super extra bosses I think i might already almost be done with it hopefully has a new game plus

I enjoyed playing around with the battle system and the story is simple yet refreshing in my eyes. I'm honestly surprised this game is an installment to a series.
Overall, I enjoyed this game. I'm no professional, so I'm reviewing this from the perspective of a player more than anything and comparing to other RPG experiences.
Let's start with some positives:

[*] The battles are classic RPG and I enjoyed it, my general belief is 'if it's not broke, don't fix it.' Therefore, while the battles aren't anything new, that isn't a bad thing
[*] The art and design of the characters is fun, nothing mindblowing but all the characters had cute and pleasing designs

Now for some less positive points:

[*] The story was a bit bland. It started off mysterious and intriguing, but it rarely built on the mystery or the worldbuilding. It remained quite generic because of this. It ended with an info dump of what happened and why, instead of revealing the information piece by piece via environments, worldbuilding and NPCs - and it's hard to say the [spoiler] guardians of each dungeon revealed much information either, their dialogue was sparse and generic I found[/spoiler]
[*] I was disappointed by the lack of exploration. While the fast travel mechanic was useful, I was sad to find it teleported you to each new dungeon, as opposed to going on an adventure with your party and exploring a world map. I think the fast travel feature should've been what was said on the tin - fast travel to locations you've already discovered
[*] It makes me sad but the characters were very bland and generic. I was very excited when I found the yellow flowers and found I could give them to my party members to learn more about them, but was then quickly disappointed when I found both cutscenes for each character were very boring, and told you basically nothing new or interesting about said character. I felt no sense of bonding with any of my party members, and some dialogue between characters felt forced because of this problem, my best example of this being [spoiler] Celina's cutscenes ending with saying she wants to protect Zarth because he reminds her of her brother. [/spoiler] It just didn't feel genuine and I struggled to care for any of the characters due to this issue
[*] This is very specific and perhaps it was purposeful, but when viewing Clymene's character stats, the game tells you her age before adding [spoiler] the fact her true age is unknown. [/spoiler] When the rest of the characters don't have this on their stats, it's a very blatant hint, borderline spoiler, that there is something going on with Clymene in particular. In my opinion, I would've preferred this not to be included, as it slightly takes away from the reveal regarding Clymene at the end. I feel this could've been remedied by improving on the exploration and worldbuilding of the game, and by allowing the player to interact with the world and learn more about it and its history, we could've learned something was strange about Clymene (and Zarth) more organically

Overall I enjoyed the game despite the gripes I have with it, I think it's an enjoyable RPG experience with some fun battles and mechanics that it's worth playing, but if you are looking for an in-depth story and characters, it might not be the game for you.

아무리 쯔꾸르툴로 만든 게임일지라도, 이 게임이 2022년에 나온 것에 경악할 정도이다.
1. 스토리텔링
- 메인 스토리 : 어디로 가면 진실을 알려주겠다 -> 보스 잡아라 -> 끝 (...?)
역대 최악의 스토리텔링.
- 서브 스토리 : 그 흔한 서브퀘스트 하나 없으며 (무기/스킬 업 퀘스트만 있음. 이마저도 설계 미스로, 마지막 맵 가기전에 열쇠 (chest key) 하나 모자라게 만들어 최종무기/스킬 업 퀘스트 깨기 불가능) 동료들에게 말을 걸어도 전혀 의미없는 이야기만 짧게 있음..
2. 전투
상점에서 스킬을 배워서 장착할 수 있는데, 모든 캐릭이 모든 스킬/장비를 다 쓸 수 있어 개성이란게 없음. 심지어 상태이상을 거는 스킬이 자체 딜이 매우 높아, 모든 보스를 상대로
방어력 깎(딜있음) - 공격력 깎(딜있음) - 스피드 깎(딜있음) - 아군공격력증가버프(적보스가 아군 공격력감소 버프를 걸 수 있는데 이걸로 덮어쓰기가능) 만 루틴하게 쓰면 최종보스고뭐고 무조건 이긴다...
3. 연출
전투 연출 효과는 거의 20년 전 수준이다.
4. 스킬 숙련도
한 스킬을 오래 쓰다보면 스킬이 강화되는데, 강화정도는 매우 미미하며, 연출변화도, 다단콤보도 없다. (제작진은 차라리 90년대 게임인 환세취호전을 해보고 배우는게 좋겠다)
심지어 적보스와 오래 싸우면 적보스가 스킬레벨업(....) 을 한다.
5. 맵 이용성
미끄러지는 빙판맵 같은경우, 이미 많은 타게임에서 퍼즐처럼 만들었던 요소인데 이마저도 잘 이용해서 맵을 만들지 못했다. 제작진은 비슷한 류 게임인 모바일게임회사인 KEMCO 게임이라도 좀 해보고 정말 기본적인 맵 설계라도 했으면 좋겠다.
6. 음악
필자는 쯔꾸르게임들을 다수 해봤기 때문에 타쯔꾸르게임에서 흔히 쓰는 음악들이 사용되었다는 것을 알고 있다.
7. 업데이트
리뷰에 저레벨 몬스터도 계속 달라붙어서 귀찮다는 평이 있었는데, 이는 수정된 모양이다. 한번 보스를 깬 맵은 잡몹에게 어그로가 끌리지는 않는다. 리뷰를 보는 모양이다.

스토리텔링형 RPG 인데, 스토리 볼거 없고, 전투도 재미없으며, 맵에 퍼즐적요소도 거의 넣지 못했다. 게임 제작자는 게임제작에 있어 열정이 없거나, RPG 게임을 많이 안해본 것이 틀림없다는 생각이 들 정도이다. 20년 전 게임인 환세취호전보다도 훨씬 못하다.
필자의 다른 게임 리뷰를 보면 이렇게 악평을 한 게임이 단 하나도 없다. 제작진은 다음 게임은 조금 더 연구해서 만들었으면 좋겠다는 생각이 든다.
So I played this game and beat it. It’s a small but cool RPG. It has a cool learn magic and skills system.
I do have two complaints though. Many others may have stated, when you get treasure it pops up from the screen itself, but the text is super small. So you miss often what you get. Second you learn skills via gathering matts smithing and knowledge. To get these you must find keys to unlock chest. There are four tiers. I couldn’t find one key so I went the whole game without the last tier of buyable skills and weapons or armor. Had 5/6 items for each.
So those two things aside its ok. Your lvls and skills carry over. It does have game plus where you carry over with inventory items, but not key items. So no t4 weapons are armor for me. I will play a new game.
Just a short rpg game which can be finished less than 10 hours. Not too easy and not too hard, depending mainly on strategy and skill combination used.
While I enjoyed the game, there are a lot of things which can/need to be improved in the future.
Pros
- Stored weakness indicator on each enemy so I don't have to memorize enemies's weakness. Also, guessing the weaknesses of the enemy increases the fun.
- Boss not always super immune to debuff/bad status effect.
- Difficulty choice.
- Love the quest to add more items in equipment and skill shops instead of revealing all equipments.
- Strong side bosses so you can check how strong your party setup.
- Boss not too easy nor too hard (at least in Standard difficulty).
Cons:
- After battle, I think it is unnecessary to be able to move cursor if you can't even check the description of the item.
- Lack of unique skill for each character. Each character can learn each other skill.
- Lack of unique dialogue for each character outside scene and character's depth. Wish each character has unique dialog, like telling a bit more of their life, relation with each other, etc, depending on the progress of story.
- The enemy (outside battle) chasing player is somehow very sensitive. They easily trigger battle even when player just on the side of them.
- I sometimes accidentally advanced to next dialogue when trying to fast forward the text. Maybe add some cooldown after the the text is fully displayed.
- Drain skill needs buff. It can be replaced easily with normal healing skill/item, making the drain skill useless.
- When scrolling the quest menu, info should be updated immediately instead of having to click.
- When turning off spike obstacles, I think it felt too long displaying the spike locations. Maybe consider using a colored spikes or symbol so no need displaying many spike locations.
That's all I have felt so far when playing the game. Best luck for the game in the future.
I love to play this kind of classic RPG once a while since there are not many new classic RPG out there.
This game give me some magical of nolstalgic from many elements in the game.

挺纯正的一款JRPG，作为RM引擎开发出来的产物，《Transcendence Legacy》提供的体验较为良好，例如本作出色的立绘，值得细细欣赏，其次音乐与场景方面的搭配融合也做的不错。只不过战斗方面就没那么让人满意了，毕竟不知道为什么没有逃跑的选项，本作的战斗难度偏高，前期只有两名角色的时候打起来多少有些吃力，散布在场景中的野怪仅需要走到跟前就会触发战斗，野怪的灵活性也很高，导致很难躲过战斗，其次场景探索实在有些简陋，由于剧情是纯线性的，这也造成大部分时间都进行在跑图打怪推剧情的流程上，久而久之会感到乏味。
值得一提的是本作虽然是采用RM开发出来的游戏，但制作组很贴心的完善了窗口分辨率，虽然不能达到完全原生，起码全屏体验是没有问题的，这点好评。
当然了，没有中文是硬伤，不过对于一个独立游戏来说倒也不能要求太多，如果制作组有能力的话还是希望出个中文的。

The game design was good at first presentation, the tutorial was well spent to the player you don't get a bunch of complex tutorial-like today AAA games, walking speed was good choice, unlike other RPG makers I've been played usually dev smash those fast walking speeds and you can't enjoy the environment while walking. Talk about story mode started with a normal cliche amnesia guy in the middle of nowhere, At least at first you would love to know more about the character, the problem would come afterward, when we got party members with lack of motivation, the example you meet someone in the dungeon he asked you to join them, but he ended up joining you instead, then other future party members when you ask them to join you, they'll join you without force without motivation and background, this leads you don't know much about every character background and origin.
The story is short and linear kind of disappointed when I thought we would progress and adventure the world by visiting various city. I would understand why they choose that direction based on the gameplay itself, its talked pretty much about whether it should be DLC content stuff from a bigger game. Well, if they could consider it in the future games.

[*] In the cutscene I noticed at the village ruin map has a door on its building seems like there are two different maps and when you go to the main world map the door was gone, seems like a little mistake from the dev.
[*] Cant open steam overlay, and I can't use the screenshot button the game is forced to be on top fullscreen. this may also be the problem that prevents me from using a monitoring software such as MSI afterburner that I use for the pc port section which for this game I monitoring it manually using alt-tab instead.
[*] game crashes two times, first one is when I spam the A button when petting a cat NPC, the game freeze, the second one is when I was idle in the battle after I defeat the entire enemy, and the victories reward was shown the game was Freeze without a reason. this problem also makes me repeat and reload the game and spend another 25 minutes. so if you played the game don't forget to always save the game.

And in battle there is no button that can leave battle. oh my goddness.
At first i thought it was something like 2d RPG in common. But after playing a while, it's actually a nice classic RPG. The gameplay, story so far, and mechanism actually is not bad. The UI is quite simple. Well, as the genre suggest, I need to think every step and playing more carefully.
Although this game is good, but there are some space for improvements. I hate being chased everywhere I go while you are just wanna pass the road. I think make them 'scared' or avoidable by in battle "running" away or something will be good. Because this will lead to the unecessary battle and the game will look like grindy even you don't think it is. Also i suggest that action bar showing the whole list instead just 2 of them, it is only 4, so i think that wont do any harm.
This game seems just cover basic things of RPG. I hope there will be an update for the items in the future.
Please note that I wrote this review after successfully completing this game with the highest difficulty level, getting all the achievements, and playing for more than 12 hours, so most likely, what I say is really the content of this game.
Story :
The story in this game is quite straightforward, two people who have amnesia wake up in a foggy forest (Clymene and Zarth) because the place they wake up is filled with monsters due to a catastrophe; they both decide to work together to walk through the place and look for a way out, so they finally meet with Schar, a former knight who used to work for a kingdom that had been destroyed by monsters. Schar asked Clymene and Zarth for help because he was having difficulty defeating the giant spider monster, feeling sorry for our two-party members who joined in to help Schar. Long story short, Clymene and Zarth decide to join the Schar team, who are struggling to survive in this cruel world. They share the same vision and mission, namely trying to find a way to Pristine Cathedral, where all secrets will be revealed. I think this story is quite good but very cliché, not too heavy and confusing, but the main point of this story will be more surprising if we reach Pristine Cathedral (Spoiler warning)
Battle Mechanic :
It seems this is the main point that developers want to offer. All aspects of this game focus on one goal: to win the Battle. The Battle is the only obstacle, in my opinion, in this game because puzzles or exploration mysteries are almost non-existent. This is not an RPG that requires us to circle around the world and talk to various NPCs to find out what really happened. This game is more like the classic RPG Final Fantasy V, where we are required to create the strongest possible build for every boss we want to fight. Battle in this game has the default system in most RPG games, namely Turn-Based. It's just that here you are only allowed to use a maximum of 4 skills that you have previously prepared in the Skill Equip menu. You can also set 2 Passive Skills that you want to use and a series of equipment such as weapons, armor, and charms (maximum 3) to support your character in fighting. I find this very interesting, but sometimes it becomes very annoying if we don't prepare the right skills because of the weakness system in this game, you have to make sure that you bring at least 3 or more skills that can hit your opponent's weaknesses to win quickly, otherwise during your journey in the dungeon you will not be able to inflict significant damage to all your enemies. Preparation is the primary key of this game so you can enjoy the Battle. The rest is just ordinary execution.
Music :
The music presented is very suitable and follows the game's theme. I really enjoyed some moments, especially when I was in the village and the story scene. It's just that maybe the drawback is that I don't really like the music during the Battle, but it's not something that is enough to wait. The battle music is still pretty good.
Additional Content :
In addition to Story, Battle, and Music, you will be offered a variety of additional content, such as the Gift system and Side Quest. The gift system allows you to get unique scenes with your party members and give them additional statuses like game personas, but the difference is that this content feels so short, only giving gifts twice you have finished it. It would be nice to have additional scenes to deepen the existing characters.
While the Side Quest, you are required to collect two items called Smithing Material and Ancient Knowledge, which serve to upgrade the tier of your shop. This is the most exciting feature because it is directly continuous with the Battle Mechanic, which is the main point of this game, but the difficulty level to find all these materials is not an easy matter. Maybe I'll try to write a guide about locations were to collect all this material so that new players don't miss all the content in this game. Looks like that's the only great content I can discuss, there are other things like additional dungeons in the new game+ and secret weapons that you can only get if you pet cats and dogs 100 times, but I think it's too small to discuss.

I really like this game; it is well-crafted and pays attention to the wishes of veteran JRPG players who have played games in this genre for decades. It's rare for a well-made Rpg Maker game these days. I really want developers to continue to improve the quality of RPG Maker games.

Transcendence Legacy - Voidswept is a quality RPG (or JRPG if you concern about sub-genres).
As you can see, this is one of RPG Maker games which looks really polished inside-out, here and there.
Pros:
+ 3 Difficulty choices (can only be chosen at the game start)
+ Battle system is self-explanatory (i like to experimenting with enemy weakness indicator)
+ Short intro (which also give a cons for this)
+ The Illustrations are beautiful, especially the monsters/enemies
+ Party customization is really rich with possibility
+ Combat balance is about right, except Zarth's Poison is meh.
+ Fast Travel system thumbs up
+ BON FIREEE
Cons:
- Short Intro, less detail about the lore and origin etc. Well, I played for 3 hours just for customizing each character.
- Gloomy in-game sprite and tiles color tone
- UI/UX is little bit wonky especially when finished equipping one character to another
- Music.. it is personal, I don't really vibing with this kind of music direction, first area is to joyful to be heard as a mysterious forest theme.
- no mouse control sadly.
Well, it is 6.5/10 for me to keep playing this until I got bored customizing character skills.
I used to say no to play any RPG Maker Games, sometimes I accidentally slept while playing the intro, rage quit when I get Game Over in a tutorial, or any other unpolished contents.
Until I play some of games with unusual complex features attached to them, well-polished system, not to mention a game that gives me excitement to grind, especially this one.
I always liked party-based RPGs that allowed us to customize our party skill and equipment freedom without restriction, just like final fantasy IX, X, Dragon Quest XI. With this feature, I can experiment with what I should do, what I want to do, what I need to do for the next dungeon, etc. It's just my personal taste. I'm looking forward to any developer and encourage them to make a game with a lot of customization for your character. I think the developer needs to do better to upgrade the content inside this game. The main story is relatively short, and I already beat all the optional content under 10 hours. Sure the price is right, but I guess 12++ hours is typical for JRPG games, right? If that really happened, I will take this as the best steal on steam!!! Hahaha!!!
I do not hate this game; to be honest, it entertained me for a while until I realized that this is more like a dungeon crawler game with endless battles. The game is not easy anyway; you people should start at lowest difficulties if you don't want trouble with enemies and boss that will smash you to the ground mercilessly if you are not prepared with the right skill.
I really want to like the game overall, the game itself is great, I even managed to finish this game, but there is something that struggling with my mind. I hope the developer will hear me out.
The enemies always chase you even if you already have 10 levels above them. I think it's annoying. It would be better if you got stronger; the enemy will detect your level and stop chasing you because they are afraid of you.
The proportion of the battle screen is not good enough; so much empty space in the middle, and the actor must jump the whole space to make an attack; it wastes so much potential.
There is more optional content but not much to do. You explore the same dungeon and beat the different bosses. It will be good if there are more activities like mining or woodcutting.
The relationship is too short, you only do it twice, and that's it.
Music is great, but because of the enemies always chasing you, you will hear a lot of battle BGM, and it lowers the game's immersion; too bad, many unimportant battles are given to you because you were hard to evade the enemies on the map.
Skill animation is centered and not targeted at the actor or enemies. You will see the boss doing AoE slash damage on the center of the screen, but suddenly it pointed to the party. I think it's annoying because the developer can move it closer to a party member to make the effect more natural.
That's it. Some fixing or update will make this game more worth it.
This is a great jrpg-style-game with a really big potential. You can play it on three total difficulties, which scales up pretty well with the real gameplay difficulty.
Pros:
-Average story length you can speedrun, but not so short.
-This game's map is pretty immersive as a jrpg game.
-Customizable character build.
-You can beat the sh!t out of monsters around you pretty much neatly
-Some puzzles, they won't drain your brain juice, they're quite easy but enjoyable.
-No bugs.
Cons:
-Unclear lore, the story itself doesn't have a clear start or background (For example: Somehow, MC can do magic with memory lost) which includes but is not limited to, character backstory, world backstory. Therefore, the "build-up" of the story is a little missing.
-On certain parts of the game, the background music doesn't match with the atmosphere/mood of the situation.
To sum it all up, yes, this game is worth a try for it's price.
in my first of hour gameplay this game reminds me of old JRPG turn based like FF V

- like a old rpg game there's a lot that equipment you can craft or buy from blacksmith
- you can add more skill into the character that you want using skill book
- turn base battle system
cons :
- the music make me sleepy
conclusion :
it's simple but there's something that want make you play it more and more again.
Tbh in 4 bucks this game is very worth, since this time i'm playing with fasting then it's a good choice for killing time.
Playing this game for more than 3 hours, I can summarise it like this :
> So many monsters are chasing you; you must be ready for every battle. Using refill free recovery items is mandatory here
> The battle is quite rewarding; this game is all about the battle
> Once you unlocked the skill shop, buy the good one and give the rest of your money to equipment
> Charm is only good if you are stacking the same type, like critical hit 3% x 3 = 9%
> The boss always attacks with AoE Skill; they are rarely attacked with a single target, so AoE heal is mandatory too
> Overleveling this game will kill the fun unless you want to play on expert; I tried it a bit but gave up then; I choose
the standard for my main playthrough
> When you defeat guardian, go back to dungeon and beat the optional boss to get legendary weapon trust me it will help

I follow this project on the Facebook group, and since the demo comes out, I have already played this game a lot. So here is a quick explanation of the game :
• It's a turn-based combat jrpg game with anime portrait on it. If you play older rpg maker games like ara fell or skyborn, this game is for you.
• It's not a hentai game, there is a lot of hentai game created by rpg maker, but this game is not one of them.
• The more you play the game, you start to feel like this game has more dungeon crawler elements than regular jrpg games.
• It has good music and is very classical.
• Pixel art all the way, just like other rpg maker game
• So much empty space on the battle screen, maybe because of the small battler style
The game is well crafted. I encountered nearly no bugs. To be honest, I am having fun with this and thinking about finishing the game. Great job.

It is a unique game covered with a small chibi-like anime-style character but has dark stories about catastrophe.
The game is much more challenging than average anime-style turn-based rpg like persona or final fantasy, but that's the point.
It looks like the dark soul of jrpg ^^

This game reminds me of my childhood when playing such a great snes jrpg like dragon quest or final fantasy.
The story is simple the main character's main goal is to only go to the pristine cathedral and drag all the party members on him because they have a similar reason
The gameplay itself is very well made. You need to guess every monster's weakness to fast kill them. Preparing a skill set before going to the dungeon and beating the boss there.
There are so many limited items here, like Yellow Flower and Chest Key, you should use them wisely.
I often load a game if the chest reward is not a quest item because I really need to upgrade that shop very bad :( lol.
This one is addicting, thanks to the dev making a simple but fun game like this.

I would recommend this game because the price is quite cheap and worth it for the content, gameplay, art style, and music. I really like this game because the price is right; 5 bucks for retro RPG games with good content is always great. It's still not counting the 20% discount on release; I only need to pay 4 bucks. Nice, I will finish this game first when still waiting for Chrono Cross Remaster.
I saw your project on rpg maker forum and decided to try this one. My first impression is that I feel so comfortable with the pace and how the developer guides the new player with their simple tutorial. The game has normal turn based and breaking weakness systems like octopath or ff x. I love it, but maybe it's just my feeling or not. I think the magic build is like overwhelming in this game. Because I am still in the early game, lumen from clymene gives so much damage to every opponent.
Meanwhile, zarth can't do much with his venom attack. Maybe if I play through more battles and unlock more party members, there will be a more buff to physical attack. Anyway, this is a very worth game if you love to play turn based jrpg with anime style.
Wow, finally, a reasonably solid RPG Maker game. Have an on-point and unambiguous story. The level of difficulty in the game also, I think, is quite fair. Now I'm still playing this game in the first stage, but I already feel the classic SNES-era RPG vibe. Hopefully, this game will be interesting until the end.
