It's really fun and surprisingly deep. Runs are somewhere around the 30 minute mark each. It has a meta progression system that is pretty fun and characters that are fun to unlock. Give it a try, it is honestly worth the $10 price tag, but snag it on sale if you aren't sure.

Сразу скажу — игра классная и мне очень зашла! В первую очередь радует разнообразие классов и их способностей, каждый чувствуется уникально. К этому прилагается просто огромное количество оружия, брони и аксессуаров, так что экспериментировать можно бесконечно.
Боссы тоже не подкачали — интересные, с разными атаками и паттернами, драться с ними совсем не скучно). А как фанат рогаликов, я просто обожаю тот момент, когда удается собрать имбовый билд, который буквально сносит всё на своем пути. Главное, чтобы рандом был на твоей стороне и подкинул нужные предметы.
В общем игру очень рекомендую. Твердые 10 из 10!)

Satisfying and addictive gameplay loop that feels rewarding as you progress through each level. The lore is deeper than you'd expect, and being able to experiment with various builds, item sets, charms, companions, etc. keeps me coming back for more.

I really liked this game. The classes play different enough to be fun, and since the core mechanics of the game are not class specific, you can generally make a powerful character no matter how bad of a start you have.
The custom difficulty is also pretty unique, with the heat gauge from Hades being a somewhat okay comparison. The actual modifiers are generally pretty impactful, and a good chunk of them uniquely alter how the game plays and how the risk vs rewards of things work out. Min mixing in this game is amusing, because changing your options on one system, can lead to you tweaking the other, and so forth.
The game itself is really fun given its price tag. Mix and match your own difficulty means no one is really left in the dust.

[*] Well, this certainly isn't the sort of game that's trying to wow you with ridiculous visuals. Even though it harkens back to the 8-bit era, CRT filter in tow, you'd still find nicer looking pixel art in many NES titles
[*] For what it's worth, that's totally fine. It's pared down to have an impressively tiny file size and run smoothly when your character and enemies are firing a billion projectiles at each other. There's nothing wrong with utilitarian visuals. However, when I look at some of the other titles in my library with similar aesthetics (like any of caiysware's games), I still think it could have been dressed up a little more
[*] What you're left with is a series of screens with black backgrounds and variously hued borders to differentiate settings/floors/levels à la [i]Legend of Zelda[/i] dungeons covered by brightly-colored sprites and even more brightly colored projectiles
[*] Thankfully, the character sprites feature some pretty diverse looks to help distinguish them from one another. The Demon Hunter and Paladin in particular stand out. I just wish that the skin tones on some of the sprites didn't weren't so pink. They kinda look like they're made of ham
[*] Weapon and armor sprites are also quite good, which is impressive given the sheer amount of gear you'll find in the game. It's not easy to make that many items look visually distinct, especially given the palette and size constraints
[*] Compared to the simplistic visuals, the soundtrack for this game is spectacular. I've rarely heard a finer collection of chiptunes in a modern indie title. This is especially true of the boss themes. To see what I mean, just go give the Eden, Amon, and Geryon boss themes a listen. They really lend a sense of gravitas as you're bobbing and weaving through a tsunami of arrows, flames, and magic missiles. The OST has certainly found a place on my background music playlists

You navigate your little protagonist upwards on the screen from room to room, defeating enemies with melee weapons, ranged options, or magic in order to progress. Each of the various floors is capped off by a boss that yields a choice of reward after being defeated
[*] In most cases, you're given two options of how to proceed after clearing a room. Besides combat rooms, these may take the form of armories (where you can pick up a new weapon), taverns (where you can purchase all manner of gear, perks, and consumables), blacksmiths (who allow you to level up any weapons you may be carrying), shops (which can be either normal themed vendors or pawn shops where you can sell unwanted swag), or arcades (where you can do a little gambling). And be sure to keep your eyes peeled for secret rooms, of which there's a surprising variety

Some armor pieces are part of a complete set, and collecting all of the armor within a set can provide some often very powerful bonuses. Weapons can be upgraded for the price of some gold at blacksmiths or enchanted by some NPCs/consumables, so it can be worth it to hold onto ones that you really like even if you find a temporarily stronger option. Accessories, charms, and offhands can provide useful boons, but note that offhands aren't usable if you're wielding a 2-handed weapon. In addition to doing things like increasing your starting stats or the amount of loot you find, it can also affect which rooms appear on your run and how likely they are to show up. When you're trying to meet the unlock conditions for the various starting classes, it can be very helpful to switch up the mastery perks you have selected

I think that's a testament to some smart design choices and how enticing the moment-to-moment gameplay is. It's just plain fun to play. The metaprogression system also helps as a motivator when you've had a string of bad runs
[*] With the dead simple graphics and tiny file size, you can expect a responsive and performant experience. Even when your entire screen is covered with projectiles, you're not going to encounter any slowdown. And that was my experience on the Steam Deck, which is considerably less powerful than your average gaming PC

[b]7.0/10[/b]. Roguelite/likes are usually a pretty tough sell to someone like me who puts a lot of weight on story and likes to roll credits fairly often. Even so, the snappy and challenging bullet hell gameplay, mountain of run-to-run variety, and surprising amount of content make [i]Tiny Rogues[/i] hard to resist. Also, it'll only run you a tenner at full price. Even if you're not the biggest fan of this type of game either, I'd say it's still worth a shot

I’m a huge fan of roguelikes, and at this point, this one probably takes the crown for me - easily the best bullet hell game I’ve played.
Despite its simple presentation, the build variety is insane. There are hundreds of weapons, pieces of equipment, and classes to unlock, and the replay value feels almost endless. Every run feels different.
I honestly can’t believe this is still in Early Access. It already feels more complete and polished than a lot of full releases on Steam - and it’s still getting updates and love from the devs.
Wholeheartedly recommend.

Unbelievably polished, well thought out, perfect gaming experience. You're picking from 3 options and makin a build like every other roguelike, except this game does it the best - bar none. All the stats and builds are fun to play and build with, the balance is impeccable and every run is very fun. This is the standard that every roguelike could be compared against.
The art I also think is wonderful, it is stylized so some could not like it, but the artistic style is completely consistent and I think very charming. The music is a perfect fit too - everything artistic is in cohesion.
There's very little I can bring up negative about this game, for it perfectly does what it set out to do - fun roguelike build makin bullet hell - and I don't even like bullet hell games (or didn't until now).

三年了还没有中文适配，这种体量的游戏做个适配真的很难吗，哪怕ai一下呢？感觉不到对中国玩家多上心，两年前开发者就说会做外语适配了，这么久甚至有人主动联系作者帮忙做汉化都没端出来。这款游戏从中文网络有大量独立游戏up测评到无人问津，这些时间充斥大量的needChinese评测，但作者感觉就像对自己的游戏有那种极端掌控欲一样独裁，既然是为了满足自己的创作需求端出来了一个“作品”，为什么要把这么个“作品”商业化并由steam推出到非英文母语的国家，赶紧退地区退钱算了，20块都不想给你。
It’s been three years and there’s still no Chinese support. Is it really that hard for a game of this scale to add localization? Even AI translation would be better than nothing. It really doesn’t feel like you care about Chinese players at all. The developer said two years ago that foreign language support would be added, and even when people voluntarily reached out to help with the Chinese translation, nothing came of it.
This game went from being covered by countless indie game creators on Chinese social media to being completely forgotten. All this time, there have been tons of reviews begging for Chinese, but the developer acts like they have an obsessive, dictatorial control over their game. If you released this “work” just to satisfy your own creative needs, why commercialize it and put it on Steam in countries where people don’t speak English as their first language? I just want a regional refund and my money back—I wouldn’t even give you 3$.
8/10. The game has cute sounds, fun concepts, lots of humor, and infinite room for expansion by the developer. I am not certain why this is being considered as an Early Access Game. It feels pretty complete to me. I would give it 10 out of 10 if it wasn't for the insane and abrupt difficulty scaling. Speaking as someone who plays similar games, a lot, there is very little "gauge" for how your equipment/character strategy is panning out for the endgame. For example: you'll play for 40 minutes in a run, breezing through every enemy ambush and boss, only to be thwomped mercilessly at the very end boss because your choices weren't high damage enough. This can be... aggravating, to say the least. I still highly recommend the game.

This game scratched an itch I didn't know I had! The gameplay is addicting and the variety of builds keep things interesting. I usually don't put on difficulty modifiers in games but all the cinder modifiers (except for that stupid robot that hunts you down) felt fair and fun. Bosses are great too. I can't wait to see what's next!
Also bonus points for the dev putting "OwO what's this?" in a news post.

100h左右就能全成就、全人物以及物品解锁
画风很复古，很有上世纪街机的那种味道，相当有趣，有种听着合成器浪潮的音乐的感觉
一局差不多是半小时，回复类生命的手段相对较少，主要得靠走位避免受伤；游戏进行到后期弹幕会比较多，但是还行，看着点弹幕的空隙都能躲得过去。运用得当的话甚至打最终的天堂、地狱、灵魂界的三个boss都不用动，全伤流都能过，难度不是很高。
流派很多？（应该是）每个人物按特定要求通关后会解锁该人物的强化版——例如枪兵会解锁屠龙者（能同时吃远近距离的增伤），骑士解锁那什么帕拉丁？反正是在每层开始的时候会自动修复你的盾（盾受击后需要用光修理粉/修理光粉/光理修粉修复、去铁匠铺免费修、每层开始的篝火修），最初始的英雄会解锁超级英雄，超级英雄的被动是第一次升级可以选择一个超级天赋。根据这些人物的被动、局内升级后获取的天赋能构筑很多有意思的玩法——比如在一层有概率刷三个蘑菇宠物的事件，会让你在红色（召唤出来给5点力量）、蓝色（5智力）、绿色（5敏捷）的三个蘑菇当中选一个带走，然后有个人物我忘了是哪一个，应该是德鲁伊？反正是招了宠物有加成还是啥的。然后局内升级的天赋疯狂拿宠物给你的增益增加50%这种相关天赋，再加上有些装备会有逆天的属性加成比如说大脑帽子+20智力，有个鞋子还是手套+20敏捷，力量也有一个类似的，轻轻松松能叠上100多点力量属性，摁着boss锤；或者说是赛博机器人，你的等级（吃五个食物=升一级——肉给力量蔬菜给敏捷糖给智力）=武器强化等级（正常情况下最多在铁匠铺给武器+4），一局轻轻松松叠到十几级强化，完完全全抛弃大脑（
稍微难受点的就是没有简中——虽然说这游戏初中英语的水平，不需要四级就能看懂，但看着还是感觉别扭

I honestly cannot begin to emphasize how much I love and adore this game and just how much I'd suggest picking it up and giving it a try. The dev puts SO MUCH love and passion into this game and its updates.
Gameplay is solid, smooth, enjoyable (subjective of course) and offers rewarding gameplay in the sense of improving your own skill at the game.
Progression is simple, gain EXP from killing bosses, unlock nodes (Caps at 30, cannot complete tree but this is obviously by design) Choices matter.
You are presented rooms to choose from to try and improve or change your build, fun mini games, fun room modifiers, choices really do matter with this entire game (as with all roguelike games)
TONS of characters to unlock that start with different armor, weapons, passives, spells, etc!
I seriously cannot express just how much I would encourage people that enjoy the roguelike genre to try this game out. This is definitely a game filled with the labor of love.

A good game. Enjoyable for those times when you don't want to think too much. Mechanics are nice, progression is nice. Characters are nice. The meta-skill tree not so nice. A bit of a chore to keep in one's mind what skills were picked and what effects they have as their effects are very specific and change game-play strategy entirely depending on composition. Otherwise absolutely fun to play.
I have now unlocked 100% of the currently available achievements. Can't wait for the Abyss update to come out. Fantastic game, full of variety, builds and challenges. Each time I unlocked a new part of the game the new bosses and enemies felt overhwhelming and then, by four or five more runs I was beating new bosses without getting hit as the patterns began to get properly implemented into my head.
My biggest complaint is that runs just are a bit long. On average taking about 30-50 minutes. And without a more modern convenience of being able to hop out and jump back in to continue a run later. I honestly think if they added a way to pop out of a run at a campfire and come back in later this would make the game a 10/10 instead of merely a 9.5/10.
If you don't mind slightly long runs, this game is fantastic.

I don't have time to leave all my thoughts, but shortly - it is amazing.
What impressed me most of all is the game design -> game design: 11/10. Kudos to the dev for that, it is rare to see.
The game progresses very well, from introducing players slowly to the game, to then ramping up the difficulty at whatever pace fits the player. However, as challenging as it gets, the game always goes for the "feels good" option, which makes it even more fun playing (simple example for a "feels good" design choice, 50% off the price of a 5 gold item in a shop is 2 gold)
Am very much looking forward to all updates for this game.
Tiny Rogues is a tiny love letter to gaming as an art form. Don't let the early-access label deter you: this is a full completed and fleshed out game with more than enough to chew on. The care and dedication for their creation RubyDev displays is heartwarming, in an age of triple A slop hellbent on the vacuuming out of every last dollar sewn into our pants, and it really shows in all the little details. The juiciness of the animations - set to get even juicier in the future with the hiring of an additional texture artist - just oozes out of every delightful crevice of Tiny Rogue's pixelated facade. I love the way every weapon and piece of armor is lovingly detailed with bespoke animations and humorous references to other games. The little 'tink-tink-tink' sound of the blacksmith is so satisfying sometimes I'll interact with the anvil a couple of times on my way through. (Although if I had one criticism to level: when you defeat a boss, you get a choice of rewards, and the time between when the animation starts and when I'm able to interact with the loot is a little too long. I'm a little goblin adventurer hopped up on potions and lightning infusions please just let me loot.)
The music and sound effects deserve an extra heaping of praise: the soundtrack, composed by the very talented [url=https://miguelangell960.bandcamp.com/album/tiny-rogues-between-heaven-hell-ost] MIGUELANGELL960[/url] may be one of the best chiptune soundtracks ever made. Chiptune music can have a tendency to get same-y and dull or annoying and plodding, melting in to digital mush that is hard to parse and can detract from the gameplay. Tiny Rogue's soundtrack in comparison is a deft and artful weaving of many genres done in a way that puts me in the mind of Tim Follin - the composer of dozens of genre defining soundtracks on the NES.
Recently I went back and began a playthrough of Red Dead Redemption II, and the thing that stuck out to me while I trudged through another 45 minutes of snowy mountain was "Gosh I sure wish I were playing Tiny Rogues instead." What I'm saying is that much of modern gaming has become overwrought and bloviating and it can be clarifying and satisfying to play a game that gets all the fundamentals right: tight controls, well defined gameplay loops and reward mechanisms, and a coherent visual and aesthetic style to tie it all together. It is the apex of the "just one more go" game structure.
Do yourself a favor and pick up Tiny Rogues. I'm excited to see what else RubyDev has in store.

Wow this game is great. I always liked the idea of binding of isaac, but the actual combat starts out terribly (nesw shots). This dual stick shooter feels so good even at the beginning of a run. Then it has interesting diablo style loot. An interesting tree (not just +1 damage, but actual game changing things like increasing size of rooms). Lots of interactions, for tons synergy possibilities. I was originally turned off because it looked like brotato, where you are stuck in a single room the whole time. But it's closer to hades, where you choose rewards and doors after you beat the room. There isn't any terrain, but I think terrain on top of the bullet hell would be too much.

One of the best games for a quick 45 min grand slam run. Don't let the pixel art throw you off, build depth is surprisingly intricate and the combat leans more towards a bullet hell then a bullet heaven.

About 3 hours into Tiny Rogues and it clearly has the depth to keep me playing. It drips quality — the gameplay is phenomenal, and the sound, sprites, and dialogue bits are all delightful. The whole thing has that juiciness that just feels good, and it holds up across the first few runs. The controller highlight for the active selection could use some work, and the menu system is pretty complex, but otherwise the controls and learning flow are solid. Glad I took a chance on it. Highly recommend.
I say this out of love for the game. I am a big fan, this game is great. The only problem is that eventually [spoiler](AFTER DEFEATING PRIMAL DEATH YOUR FIRST TIME)[/spoiler] this game gets really easy. Devs should find a way to make it harder. I hope this game continues to grow in the right direction.
Basically the only thing I disliked was the CRT filter, but you can easily turn that off. Everything else is great!
I've played tons of roguelites, but Tiny Rogues is a cool fresh twist compared to stuff like Hades or Enter the Gungeon. You dive into dungeons for runs around 30 minutes, building your loadout with weapons, armor, and traits – one run you're a Dragoon blasting with a chaingun, next you're a mage hurling fireballs. Tons of characters to unlock, each switching up your playstyle and opening new ways to play. At first, the sheer amount of everything overwhelms you: weapons, traits, effects – no clue what mixes with what. But that's the heart of the game: these mechanics combine into insane combos that deliver crushing power, and visually it looks like fireworks.
Combat is super smooth, dodging works perfectly, and the bullet hell bits suck you right in. Pixel art graphics aren't fancy, but they nail the atmosphere perfectly – bosses are solid. Sound is fine, doesn't get old.
For such a low price, this much fun is honestly worth trying out.

Amazing bullet hell roguelike. The character, weapon, and enemy variety are just right. The mechanics on how the stats play with each other are quite deep, letting you assemble viable builds out of many situations if you know what you're doing. The game is really focused; everything that you get is usable in a run and there's nothing here that wastes your time.
Some negatives:
* The game can get unreadable at times with too many things on the screen.
* The game feels a bit too luck reliant; some back rolls in weapons or skills early on can cripple you.
Loved it! Already has a lot of replayability, can’t wait for the full version.
