i'm only at one route left, and considering the low expectations I had, the game is actually somewhat enjoyable. I always love reading steamy or hot otome games, so this one is worth trying if you’re also running out of otome backlog. Just be aware that the story can get a little dark.

The CG's are very lovely and the flirtation is quite endearing. my only gripe with the game is that the 'Spicy" scenes are rather tame compared to what was advertised. not bad but i wanted to see his peen. alas. I really liked this, honestly. I wasn’t expecting anything amazing, especially given how cheap it was on sale but I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed the story. It’s definitely a matter of personal taste, and this kind of genre is exactly what I’ve been looking for. The scenes played out just how I imagined they would.

So far, I got Asagiri’s “super happy” ending, and while I did enjoy it, I can’t deny something still feels a little off. Like others have mentioned, I’m not a big fan of him continuing to take on clients when we’re clearly a thing now. But I get it—it’s his job, and in a way, he’s doing it for you, to help you rebuild your shop. Still, it leaves a bittersweet taste.

This is a nice little game if you’re in the mood for something cute and light perfect if you want a quick romance without heavy drama or complicated mechanics. I’d definitely recommend picking it up during a sale; it’s a cozy experience worth the price.

Playing another Dogenzaka game and I will say it again. I love Dogenzaka games!! (I cant help i'm deranged) I played Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya last week and I'm gonna compare the two. First things first I loved both Kikuya and Ohgiya they both have there own mood settings and amazing characters. Kikuya was more Comical and light (still had its dark moments). Ohgiya is definitely the more dark side of Yoshiwara. They have both become favorites for me, I really enjoyed the series.

The Good:
1. The art improved from the first game, it's very pretty.
2. I was really happy some of the old characters from Kikuya showed up, Its not required to play Kikuya but some events and characters from that game show up in Ohgiya and it was nice to see it flow together (I loved Kikuya so I was happy to see the old characters... I didn't see Iroha so maybe his ending was actually canon from the last game).
3. The Characters are well developed and really in depth I enjoyed everyone's route.
4. Music is still pleasant and nice.
5. I liked seeing the new locations and an MC from a different life then the MC from Kikuya (Ohigiya MC = Rich. Kikuya MC = Poor).

The Bad:
1. Some typos (I don't care about typos I grew up on wattpad so this Is gold in comparison, for me personally).
2. Utsusemi's route is MESSY, if you play his route you will instantly know what I mean, but the ending is sweet and worth it.
3. The MC is hounded and I mean HOUNDED by her mom.... to produce a child. It's fine because I can understand the time setting and the importance of it. I just found her Mom to be annoying in some routes... a lot of the routes.
4. I might be alone on this but I do prefer the MC of Kikuya over Ohgiya because Kikuya's MC was more adventurous and daring (she had that naive air to her but she wasn't a pushover and she was willing to rebel). Ohgiya's MC is obviously written where she would always obey her Mother in the end because she will honor the family name and all, that's great for her mom but not entirely for the MC. I really wanted her to rebel against her mom a little more (this may tie into reason 3 a little). I will say though Ohgiya's MC was feisty and wasn't overly naive, she had a strong sophisticated aura and I loved that about her.

Something to point out:
This is more of a warning, especially for those who want to play Kikuya first. Ohgiya is much Darker feeling than Kikuya. Darker themes are more present in Ohgiya and the MC obligation has a more suffocating feeling to it. Without giving spoilers, almost everyone at Ohgiya has a sad story, more so than the guys at Kikuya. This certainly does not take away from the game, I feel it makes the guys more in-depth and human, you just wont be laughing as much as with Kikuya's guys. The MC's obligation really makes it feel like she is trapped, her mom can be really mean to her and completely doesn't understand why the MC would have problems with sleeping with a man she has only met 3 times.... The pressure put on the MC makes my heart hurt for her. I hate to compare Kikuya's MC again but at least in that game her mom wasn't saying to her "so your gonna go to Ohgiya again tonight right... you know you need to produce an heir right" her mom can be so uncaring to her sometimes. That being said, for the time period this is written in its very well done for a young girl who would be pressured like this. I wished for Ohgiys's MC that she would be able to have more freedom, poor girl needed more freedom, deserved more freedom.

I feel like the MC's from both games would have honestly been such good friends they would have helped improve each other's qualities, maybe in some alternate universe they would have met and helped each other. <3

THIS IS NOT A CORN GAME.

Sweet, simple, cheesy read and I'm eating it all up. Considerably more polished than Kikuya as to the writing & dialogue. However, [b] THE LACK OF CGs ARE A CRIME [/b] (Only 3 to 4...? per route).

I love that the MC is not a doormat, she's considerably bratty at times [spoiler] & i love the business minded aspect though shallowly put at times [/spoiler] and her personality differs with each route as opposed to Kikuya's Mary Sue MC that just drives the immersion away.

Anyways, for route recommendations:

Asagiri's route tackles the dynamics of Yoshiwara and the Mc's feelings quite well

[spoiler] as he basically ♥♥♥♥♥♥ himself out to help MC's family, and MC struggles with seeing her beloved be pimped out [/spoiler].

Props to Asagiri for knowing what he wants, who he is, and being more of a fleshed out character tbh, very refreshing. Also, [spoiler] very steamy route [/spoiler]

Moving forward, Ageha's route is absolutely adorable first romance type of stuff, it felt pure despite the suggestive CGs, which by the way are top tier, Ageha's CGs beat Asagiri's imho. Felt like watching a cute puppy love turned into more.

To end though, one last complaint, or two: IT IS A CRIME THAT MUSASHI DOESNT HAVE A ROUTE, I HAVE A BONE TO PICK WITH WHOEVER MADE THAT DECISION, also, maybe just me idk, but Utsusemi's sprite could have been improved upon :/ .

I'm going to keep this as short as possible because I've already spent way too many hours playing these two games. I can definitely say that this game is better than the first one, indefinitely? But the problems that Kikuya had also somewhat carry over to Ohgiya. I do not recommend this series... they really... they're truly disappointing in every sense? Like no matter what you have signed up for or thought you'd get from these games, they ALWAYS fail to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deliver. If you want smut, it's boring/uneventful/not really the main focus. If you want good characters, they (almost) all have some kind of twist to them that makes them VERY unlikeable in my opinion. If you want a good story, it's littered with unnecessary drama and badly handled character motivations. The plot is filled with holes. The worldbuilding is more solid than it was in Kikuya, but it's genuinely still baffling how much I have to turn my brain off to enjoy this. Even when I did, I couldn't fully even have a just mellow, normal, dramaless route, because it just... was chock filled with those. The side stories really don't add anything to the love story and whatnot. The only route I've somewhat liked is Takigawa's, and I wasn't even sold on him beforehand. Everything disappointed me, and the price tag of this game is just not worth it. I'm a completionist so I forced myself to suffer through everything and read all of it before I inflicted my judgement upon it, but it's just CRAZY how much lost potential this game (and Kikuya alongside it) has. Somewhat infuriating. If Musashi ever gets a route/dlc/whatever (he probably won't), I will play it and then die on the inside if it's as bad at the rest of the routes. Like, if you want to spend money on something, spend it somewhere else honestly. This game and the previous one are not worth it. If you STILL want to play one of these two games, then choose for Ohgiya, so you escape the SA and the other potentially triggering scenes in Kikuya. That's all I have to say.

I have played several visual novels (Amnesia, Cinderella Phenomenon, XOXO droplets, Dandelion) and The Men of Yoshiwara: Ohgiya is my favourite.

I really liked the female protagonist, not a doormat/bland slate like in most visual novels.
I also like the male characters, they are more complex than what you initially see, and have nice backstories.

The only thing that it misses is a route for Mushashi.

*I mostly played this game offline, that's why the amount of time I played it looks so low.

女主角作为大商人家的独女继承人，性格和处事方式令人难以理解和带入……男主们有时候确实有一定吸引力，但更多时候都相当大男子主义（拜托你在吉原工作，是你服务啊，怎么还要女客人温顺羞涩才好感加的多！）
不考虑角色塑造和剧情，其实文字把氛围和感情变化刻画的不错。
但是CG和立绘感觉比较贫穷。
和同类乙游比，打个6/10分吧。

呵呵，和前作一样，女主只要一个劲讨好可攻略角色就行了。拜托，你不是超级有钱的大小姐吗？钱的来历也是清清白白的。本来这些男的赎身就要靠女主，女主还得媚他们我真的服了，基本上+5好感的选项就是舔，立本人真的好喜欢这种设定，花钱被P，女主脑子像被驴t了，反而是活在可攻略对象嘴里的“其他女人”更正常，是正常的消费者。这么看来，他们也只是找了一个最好骗最好欺负最好控制的女人帮自己离开吉原罢了，如果这么想的话一切反而合理了起来，后日谈想看一些童话完结之后，见识到外面自由世界的男主们抛妻弃子的剧情啦，哈！哈！哈！

【进度捆包全完成】食之无味，弃之也不算可惜的日乙。由于刚入steam时的疏忽买了这个乙游的捆包，精神洁癖的我推起来异常痛苦。尤其是这个男主做鸭的系列，非常脏眼。
不过总体来说比上一部是有进步的，虽然也没有到及格线就是了。本来以为没有了子故事，攻略人物只有五个，章数变短会比上一部推的快，但是其实用了更长的时间20h才完整过了一遍。当然也是因为我强迫症看得很慢。
由于人物线篇幅较长所以刻画和剧情方面比上一部细致，画风有所改变但并不难看，另有特色。这个捆包的全部没有配音也习惯了，UI土是土不过在这个系列里边还算是没土到极致。
先说一下剧情。在这五条线里面唯一觉得能让我看完不反胃的就是扬羽线，至少女主在这条线里表现得积极勇敢且主动起来了，在别的线都是圣母受气包。不过好歹来说比菊屋的女主要好些，至少没这么低自尊任人损。可能至少比起贫穷的菊屋女主有点富贵人家培养出来的气质吧……
泷川线，青梅竹马但是你去做鸭了……真受不了，EX；岳人线，身世凄苦，被女主感化放弃悲惨的过往，放下复仇心以及打开心房，相当于一个救赎线。长得如果不是鸭子还是挺符合我xp的。但是鸭就是鸭，下一个；朝雾线是我最无法接受的，在女主家生意收到重创时——他在做鸭给女主打钱……我受不了啊啊啊啊女主你玩玩就行了啊干嘛把他娶进门啊啊啊啊这是唯一一个互通心意后仍在做鸭绿我的人，我恨他。而且本来就是本土来的父母好像也有钱为什么不先给自己赎身再去借钱啊……我恨……空蝉线，本来除了鸭本身没啥雷点奈何有个足够EX的女配在剧情上雷我。受不了了。
另外我真的受不了处女和种马这类设定……而且女主身边有个从小看到大的年上帅气忠犬为什么不直接和他doi我不理解。而且女主他妈说和花魁生子才是配上女主家室的正统，这一点还不如隔壁菊屋女主他妈至少觉得比起脏鸭还不如从本土找个干净男人。而且忠犬保镖不比鸭香……
从文里偶尔会看到对于吉原和岛上这种不合理的规矩的反思表现了反抗的苗头但是到最后都没有所以然。还不如不反思。设定虽然不是女尊但是好歹是女性占主体地位的地区但是丝毫没有体现。只看到了女性生男孩就被掠夺，自己适婚年龄还要花钱去票且基本只能票一个男人（虽然不同的店不同规定但是换男人很难）而男的需要和很多女的结为夫妻。男的更不用说了，只要在岛上出生个个被迫当鸭。总之这个设定真的很恶心。你不会女尊就别搞了吧搞的个什么玩意。

Ookay so, note I only played Gakuto's route so far, I may play another if I feel like it, but I wanted to give a review! This is a tentative recommend because I did not dislike the experience but really felt like there was some stuff lacking. Also Musashi should've had a route!

CONS: the writing can be a bit.. clunky.. at times. There definitely seems to be a lack of depth with certain things. The story goes by a bit too quickly for me to really feel absorbed in the emotional aspects of it. After all it only took me about two hours to complete the entire route and get the super happy ending. The "Sequel" portion was also a bit disappointing to me and a bit contradictory to the initial ending. I won't spoil it though. Also the romance moments were all very brief. I had a strong lack of choices it felt like. The MC acted in way I felt were very annoying and I was upset I couldn't forge her personality a bit more. It was just a bit more brief than I would've liked. Another VN I played took me about 15 hours to complete in full with just a single route and that VN was free.

PROS: the art style is good and I think the music is good too! The story wasn't boring, although a bit lacking in depth as I said previously, it was enjoyable. The characters were different enough that I didn't feel like I was interacting with 5 versions of the same dude, which is nice. It was easy to follow and not too complicated.

Random side note: I never saw any nudity like the description mentioned? lol

Just got this game and i'm already loving it.
The type of charachters in this game have different types of personalities:

- A confident hot man, who has a bit of arrogance.
- A little cutie pie, who seems so submissive and loveable.
- A hot confident man with an eye-patch, who is big brother material.
- A EXTREMELY hot man, who is so sweet and likeable.
- A over-confident man with long hair, who is extremely flirty.

The mix of submissive and dominant men is really good.
I still have to play the full story but for now i'm really hooked.
I can't choose a guy tho.. like i'm stuck. I really like dominant men but submissive ones are so adorable..
Also, the guard is a hottie, just saying.

[b][i]The Men of Yoshiwara: Ohgiya[/i][/b] is in my opinion the second best game from [i]Dogenzaka Lab[/i], right after [i]The Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya[/i]. And I own and played most of their games. The story is good and the set up interesting. Characters are quite rememberable and far better written then in other [i]Dogenzaka Lab[/i] games. Both [i]The Men of Yoshiwara[/i] games take place on the same island and in the same time, but you don't need to play [i]Kikuya[/i] before [i]Ohgiya[/i]. Stories are completely separate.

The game system is the same as in other [i]Dogenzaka Lab[/i] games: prologue, separate stories for 5 LI, happy ending and super happy ending, date scenarios and sequels. Honestly, I don't get why it is adult rated. There are rather only hints in texts than anything truly explicit. But some scenes were quite steamy (thumb up). I finished everything in less than 30 hours.

[h1] Honestly I Enjoyed this Sequel WAY Better than its predecessor, Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya. [/h1]

The routes had a lot more depth and the art style is amazing and of much better quality, I literally cried at every CG and gushed over how beautiful these guys looked. However, I did feel like the story's pace went by a bit too fast, the guys fall heads over heel in love way before the MC realizes it herself (sometimes) chapters later.

The music is a similar score from the first game but there's moments when it would be dramatic for something that is positive and not negative. Plus, having played Kikuya for about the same amount of hours I had thought Ohgiya was a prequel to Kikuya at one point because of so. Still wasn't too bad.

Moving on to the female lead. The MC from the first game was a bimbo, naive personality type and it was a pain to witness over & over again. But Ohgiya's MC was really enjoyable & realistic, loved her sense of femininity & dignity. A much stronger lead indeed.

Takigawa is my personal favorite out of all them though since he reminded me a bit of Takao's route in Kikuya & HOW IT SHOULD'VE BEEN [spoiler] didn't help at all when he made an appearance in Takigawa's route too on top of that to remind me of this everlasting pain [/spoiler] .

HUGE SPOILER: [spoiler] I'm super upset that MC only has a kid with Gakuto but even then so it's only in the happy ending not super happy ending?? [/spoiler]

Anyhow, I enjoyed my time in Yoshiwara and I think I'll revisit Ohgiya again later in the future, hopefully for a certain handsome looking guardsman. I've played a [b] LOT [/b] of VNs/otome before & this one (as well as Kikuya) I'd definitely recommend mainly for newcomers of the genre.

The Men of Yoshiwara: Ohgiya is another otome game that takes place in the same area as Kikuya. They are in the same neighborhood, they are aware of the other establishment's presence but you don't need to play Kikuya to enjoy this one.

We have 5 LI's to romance and they all have a happy and a super happy ending. In addition to those two endings, we also have a date scenario and a sequel.

Out of 5 LIs - Takigawa, Asagiri, Gakuto, Utsusemi, Ageha- Ageha was most annoying for me. I mean purity is something but the boy is like a wee baby. As for my favorites: probably Takigawa and Gakuto are tied. Takigawa's "condition" reminded me of Iroha from Kikuya a little bit. As fr Gakuto, I guess I have the case of "Majima Overload" from Yakuza Kiwami and started to have a thing for eyepatched dudes. lol.

As for the game, the mechanics are pretty much the same as every other Dogenzaka game and some people wrote detailed reviews on it. Thus, I will not go into much detail. There are occasional typos & errors but as far as I remember it didn't disturb my experience with the game.

Art is beautiful. Most of the CG's are amazing. Characters are designed beautifully. Details in their clothing especially were beautiful. Music is also nice but since it is repetitive like most other games I tend to minimize the volume or mute it completely when I'm playing.

I liked the MC of this one better than the Kikuya's. Although she is more traditional and nauseatingly shy here and now, I got to like her a little bit more.

All in all, though, I liked the game, enjoyed the simple yet quite nice story. I would recommend buying it at discount.

In comparison to [i]Kikuya[/i] where the protagonist is clumsy, naive and innocent to the workings of the world and men; the heroine in this season is headstrong, intelligent, stays true to her convictions and does not easily swayed by the charms of the courtesans. Her actions were refreshing; and her source of conflict throughout the routes are understandable. Although she knows where her inevitable familial duty lies, and does not wish to disappoint her hard-working mother, she remains cold and apprehensive of the bachelors as she stays true to her own beliefs and sense of self-respect.

It is only when she truly falls in love with the courtesans after getting to knowing their own pasts and hardships, does she fully open herself up to them and consummates their relationship. There is actual understandable and noticeable relationship progression, as the characters become closer to one another.

There is finally an actual slow and notable progression in the interactions between characters, and genuine conflict that draws them closer together in understanding and developing their relationship. Each bachelor has their own past and reason for ending up in Ohgiya, which the heroine eventually comes to discover from her visitations. It is these events that coax the protagonist to open up about herself, and realize that their feelings for her are not empty proclamations and her heart can be trusted in their hands.

The background art especially improved, and I did not mind that some were reused as the resolution was increased to match the new art style. The line art and color illustration was significantly cleaner, and there was less of a disparity between the character sprite and CG. The character clothing and hairstyles were drawn with more attentiveness, and I loved the kimonos of the courtesans in Ohgiya a lot more than the original.

Overall‚ I actually enjoy [i]The Men of Yoshiwara: Ohgiya[/i] a lot more than its predecessor, Kikuya. It has a stronger cast line up of bachelors, each with distinct personalities and better written storylines. There are plenty of noteworthy moments in each of the bachelor stories.

First of all, I love and hate this game at the same time.
I've played many otome games including Hakuoki, Amnesia, Nameless, 7Scarlet, Psycedelica, ect... and oh boy, this one has the best MC ever.
This MC clearly has her own character, making you feel like reading a story from one person point of view than actually playing VN, which also means your choice doesn't really have impact on the stories. This is maybe a "no" for some people. But I personally don't mind because this MC is truly one of a kind. Her character will change depends on the male character you choose, but most of the time she is truly has loveable personality.
Not only the MC, the male characters also has their own loveable traits. I didn't even expect to be drawned towards some characters I never thought I will have interest in.
This VN truly have well written characters.

Many people complained about the BGM, I personally feel okay with only a few BGM looping. But the thing is, they came out not in the suitable time. Sad moment? Serious moment? Here's a happy background music! (you get what I mean)

I also hope the male characters stop saying the whole thing about "you're the first woman who bla bla bla bla" (yeah yeah, i know. All male character in VN said that)

The big flaws in this otome game is: Everyting is happening too fast. Just when you get immersed is one typical moment, the game rushed you into different condition. In the end it makes the story feels so "shallow". It's such a shame that they wasted such potential. I bet if they remake it and stop rushing the plot, it will be huge bomb to otome games' world.

I still want to reccomend it though. It is truly not bad. I played worse otome game with higher price than this.

14h打完5条线各一个结局，不打算打全结局了。跟菊屋篇相比，扇屋篇美术更好，立绘更精细，背景图也更丰富。但剧情稍短，人物也少一位。最蛋疼的是肉少了很多！女主的性格苦逼了很多！

世界观的说明直接复制自我在菊屋篇的评测：
这个故事不是严格的男女地位反转，它的设定是因为岛上几乎不会出生男性，一旦出生了男孩，就会被强迫去吉原卖身，本土的男子也会因为各种原因被卖到岛上。而岛上的女性想要一位丈夫或者延续后代就只能花高价去吉原买下一位倾城（应该是游女的性转称呼）的一夜，成为一夜夫妻，以此来获得爱情or孩子。[strike]而且女嫖客一旦选择一位倾城，就只能跟这个倾城睡，“出轨”其他的倾城就会被禁止进入吉原，而一位倾城却得要服侍许多女客，榨取她们的钱财，为自己攒赎身钱。[/strike]所以这是一个男女皆为受压迫者的设定，这个设定里男的被迫卖身，女的也并不快乐，可以说是双输。
*嫖客不能“出轨”是仅限菊屋的规定，扇屋没有这个规矩。

这个女主太苦逼了。她根本不是来逛妓院享受生活的，是背负着血脉延续的任务跑来求子的。然后她在每条线里很痛苦，一开始是无端端要跟陌生人上床很痛苦，后来是因为男主都是“卖的”还会跟其他女客发生关系而痛苦。虽然我打的都是Super Happy Ending，男女主都幸福快乐的生活在一起了，但是整个游戏过程太憋屈了。
喜好排名：朝雾>扬羽>空蝉>泷川>岳人

没错，花魁泷川和岳人在我这里评价都很低……不是人设不好，是故事不是我的菜。泷川莫名其妙的为了背上的超大胎记抓狂，岳人好家伙你一个男妓强奸了嫖客我直接傻眼。然后女主，这孩子真的共情能力太TM强了，无论谁的苦痛，她都好像自己的事情一样，跟着痛苦无比，不顾自己家业，不顾在家一力支撑店子的妈妈，天天有事没事往花街跑。菊屋篇的女主还可以说是平民女被花街灯红酒绿迷了眼，扇屋篇的和服店继承人还这么不负责任我真的按捺不住疯狂咆哮的心……

五条线推完，我提着刀来了。
请赶紧增加武藏DLC，不要不识好歹。
不然我就把刀垫膝盖下面跪下来求你们。

言归正传，七个小时就能全收集的游戏剧情大体上可以当做图一乐，不用要求太多。没有剧情分支，直接当无声视觉小说看也行。感情戏虽然有点进展火速，问题不大，叙事不至于很出戏。舞台“吉原”的氛围塑造得很好，角色性格塑造算鲜明。我个人觉得对这个体量来说，能做到这样也差不多了。
没配音也就还好，不至于不能忍，毕竟我不算声控（挠头）。就是BGM那几首翻来覆去听到最后，摘掉耳机都快能自动脑内播放了。

难得是steam上有Hscene的乙女游戏，看到甚至有点感动。
不过不怎么官能，只能说还是那股名词代称都不给你写出来的含蓄味，CG也完全在安全线内[strike]（毕竟这些吉原男人们整天敞着个衣服已经看麻木了）[/strike]，个人而言只能说有几句学步车聊胜于无吧。仔细想想里面几种play其实还是蛮有写头的，比如[spoiler] 你小叔子在刻苦学习而你和你男人在隔壁滚床单[/spoiler]、[spoiler] 光天化日油菜花田整点生命大和谐（这岛上还确实不可能有别的野鸳鸯打扰）[/spoiler]什么的，但由于过于简略[spoiler] +谜语人 [/spoiler]的行文，想整点女王蜂的朋友基本要靠自己脑补了。

总的来说氛围很有味道，就是不够细致。可以打折入库。

除了朝雾线个人感觉其他的剧情都挺平淡的，不过甜度可以，剧情也不是很长，打折的时候可以买来看一看。
但是这个中译真的不太行……一开始打岳人线那错别字和生硬的翻译腔差点给我劝退了。

The Men of Yoshiwara: Ohigya is I'd say a starter Otome game. It's one of the first I ever played and got me into the genre and I adore it. However it does have its huge flaws such as;

No Voice acting - Something I consider to be a setting stone for ALL otome games and not having it takes away from the experience. It makes such a difference to have VA and being accustomed to it from many superior games I can't justify the game for full price.

The Translation - Its so lackluster, horribly translated. It feels like a middle-school student wrote this, which is a shame considering the setting being a brothel. It would have improved greatly if only it was written better but I've noticed that most games from Dogenzaka Labs are sloopy translations. It doesn't have a lot of dialogue.

Each route is perhaps 2-2,5 hours long. It has some beautiful CG's. If you're curious about getting into this genre give it a go, but for more experienced players I suggest Amnesia: Memories, Code: Realize or Brothers Conflict as they all have so much more to offer.

TLDR; Buy this when its on sale OR if you're new to the genre.

A switch in protagonist background and a more formal approach to the plot. Ah, it's so cute and sweet for every route and I found myself completely smitten with each and every character. As always, the art is extremely pretty, the music a nice touch, and the story really takes me for a spin. I loved seeing the former characters again too every once in a while. It seems that the length of the game is still too short for me though.

Unlike its predecessor, "The Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya", Ohgiya is actually a playable game. Everything--story, music, dialogue, art, translation, editing--is vastly improved over Kikuya. The characters of Ohgiya also seem like Version 2.0 of the Kikuya characters, as each Kikuya guy has a counterpart in Ohgiya who is much better in terms of looks, personality, and story. (Except for Iroha, who is his own unique self!)

One word of caution is that this is still not as full and complete as a full console game, but it is a great alternative, especially for someone who prefers a shorter story that focuses more on the romance than the story or character development.

The only quibbles I have are 1) Musashi keeps teasing you in each route with his charm, sincerity, secret love for the heroine, and kindness and yet isn't a playable love interest; and 2) there is overall less content in Ohgiya than in Kikuya. (Though what is provided is much better, so this is a small quibble.) Seriously, though; why isn't Musashi playable??

As the third D3 game I've played, this is most definitely the best of the three (the other two being Kikuya and Pub Encounters).

i've only played Takigawa, Gakuto and Utsusemi as i bought this game because of those 3. Couldn't take my eyes off Takigawa since Prologue. So i decided to go for him first. Funny thing was, when i was thinking about it, it came to this scene where he said "You'll pick me right? I see the craving in your eyes." at that time, i was like, "Hello? How did you know? Can you read my mind sire?"
All and all the storyline is good (surprisingly), love the artwork too (one of the reason why i bought this otome) and it's on sale along with Kikuya.

**个人觉得推荐“ok看文、跟着世界观和脚本走、就当做是一次故事来放松身心、看看女尊岛上男性吉原是怎么样的设定”的朋友玩。太认真钻研大概不太行，因为每条线可能点到世界观的点不一定是完整世界观，因此可能会留下‘世界观不明不白’的印象？**

个人的游玩顺序：从【实习生】扬羽（最甜最天真的弟系）→【年轻倾城】空蝉→【游玩人间的倾城】朝雾→【强势大哥花魁】岳人→【怎么看都是男主位的第一花魁】泷川
（这样玩的感想：有点庆幸是这样玩，因为有种从花街最低位（人物故事因涉世未深而比较简单）看到花街最高位（人物故事因经历许多而复杂）的故事体验，对这样的顺序有兴趣的朋友推荐试试这样的玩法）

-除了共通的序章，每个可攻略角色都有十章+两个结局故事（我愿称为HE1和HE2）。每章有两次好感加成选项时间，每次选项分为加1%，3%和5%三种。好感度怎么影响结局判定的不同非常straight forward，好好存档就ok。

【剧本和世界观】：虽然剧本和背景设定上还有很多让人好奇的灰色地区，不过由于我攻略角色的顺序，有种慢慢从最低位开始了解这座女尊（？）岛和其花街的各种背景故事的感觉。不能说剧本完美，不过作为用来暂时放空大脑、不要想太多的游戏，对我来说足够了。有享受到大小姐女主和这些男性们的各个故事，谢谢制作商。

就翻译来说，还是有不少错字错词，有点点影响观感。不过我觉得角色之间来回揣摩啊、关于角色心情、or形容等等的台词还是写的很好的。我学会了很多（？）
并且这个游戏我觉得虽然没有语音，但是你就只能专注看文本看故事，也不失为一种静心欣赏故事看文的方式。

--菊屋篇的联动--
扇屋作为讲究传统式的一所老派青楼，与同一条街上比较追逐时代潮流的菊屋形成鲜明对比。作为菊屋篇发表后一年的新篇，扇屋的角色也自然地因为所在阶层位置而认识菊屋的角色，在游戏里有适当的互动。虽然买的时候同时两篇一起买的，不过玩完的感想是第一个玩的是扇屋篇真是太好了，让我对菊屋篇更好奇了。

--女主角--
我就单开一栏说扇屋篇的女主角，多好看啊！！清叶人设里‘见到别人有困难就想帮助’的好人性格虽然是很常见的女主人设之一，但是在这个世界观背景下教出来并不让我觉得抵触，正经又纠结自己的心情很可爱！！有点可惜女主的蓝眼睛比较少在cg里露出来…

--CG和立绘--
其实我不是很熟这位画师（还没查看是谁），但是对比菊屋篇（15年作品）和扇屋篇（16年作品），扇屋的角色立绘感觉有进步我喜（？或者是画师更擅长这种古风古色的立绘？）上色风格也稍不同了（褒义）
即使是车的CG也很和谐（感觉最明显的是朝雾吧，次位可能是泷川or岳人的）
立绘表情有些少，不过第一次玩被惊艳到是有被惊艳到的（就是有些笔触有些潦草，但是我是bundle减价买的我觉得its okay）

挺早就在打折下入了的游戏了，终于断断续续的推完了全结局
以折扣价格来说我觉得这个游戏算是及格的，每个角色双结局+番外和后日谈，文字量来说也不算少了
立绘比起一代来说精致不少，尤其是本篇里面偶尔会有一代客串，对比起来简直公开处刑（x
剧情来说不能严抠，肯定存在不合理的地方不能细究。毕竟我是来嫖男人（划掉）谈恋爱的，只要不是特别硬伤的其实都能接受。
总体来说可玩性还是可以的，角色也挺有特点（我对朝雾这种男人完全没有抵抗力），武藏不能攻略是比较大的遗憾，比起一代橘子屋我个人还是比较推荐这一作的
缺点的话，个人来说是bgm有时候太唐突会被吓到，以及没有auto系统，不能解放双手很难过。

To be true this is not bad, at all, but the game is awfully boring, only 2 endings for each men and you cannot screw things up, they will love you, they will marry you, no matter what !! it's insipid... A game means you can loose, I think they forget that. There is better Otome out there.

惨，男主们，惨
主要是在这种逆转的情况下，女主作为一个将来要继承家业的，而且还可以随意进出吉原选个花魁回家做老公的情况下，性格还如此的……感性？实在是不太合理。就本身背景设定就和现实是调转的情况下，女主还是像传统大和抚子那样的感觉实在是让人觉得很失望，我就想看个不被牵着鼻子走的自主想法强烈的女主又怎么了对吧（。
不过作为一个简简单单打发时间的快乐乙女向游戏，还是不错的啦，但是这不是个能给人有深刻印象的作品

Aside from some of the sudden stop/start of music transitions and a few "lost in translation" moments, I'm having a great time. 10/10, would recommend and def going to buy kikuya to play that version as well :) !

玩了六小时乙女游戏，五小时都在挑人体错误（并没有），有些图有些问题但其实还好，就个人来说，这个设定有点接受无能，但有些地方还是很戳人心的，虽然繁中有些地方有错别字（对不起我又在在意奇怪的地方），但总的来说还是很好玩的，（大家好我六个小时就通完了一条线我太菜了对不起）

五条线玩下来，空蝉线观感最好，其次朝雾，剩下的三条线我是不太能欣赏的来，扬羽设定是挺可爱的但是动不动就哭莫名养儿子的感觉，剩下的那两个男人明明是花魁，我也挺期待的，但是就感觉剧情方面的逻辑我不太懂，女主在有些剧情表现的极其生硬，我真的强推空蝉线啊呜呜呜（虽然我总感觉让扬羽去顶替这个逻辑怪怪的但是瑕不掩瑜）

我对这种题材毫无抵抗力，可能是对总裁文学的腻味也说不定。反正嫖到就是爽到，虽然官配不是朝雾美女，但是朝雾真的好绝，我玩到他剧情后面都被这个操作惊呆了，无语啊感觉这样要是还辜负哥哥真的不是人了，良心非常谴责罪恶感也好沉重，漂亮男人会使人痛苦。因为我喜欢主动系所以朝雾是首选，其余不算特别在意，朝雾师兄也很漂亮，嗯嗯。我希望能有更多类似风格的乙女呢，因为本质来说，打乙女就是为了收获快乐，或者套用游戏里就是来买梦而已，所以我更希望能直接买到而觉得讨好实在麻烦吧。
这个系列基本打起来都是在单纯为自己的快乐而服务，所以过程挺轻松愉快的。

啊哈，入手的第一款乙女，立绘什么的都超棒！
应该是为了满足玩家的想象所以没有给配音吧，有利有弊，还是希望可以有配音（有些人设真的不好脑补呀！！）
走的空蝉线，对人设很满意，就吃这一套。但因为吉原这个操蛋的设定，对里面的倾城还是挺膈应。（单压）

This one was massively better than the first one.
I did enjoy both games, but I do remember that the quality suddenly skyrocketed compared to the previous game.
The art looks much better and the writing itself is also much smoother and less choppy.
The price for this one is also much better than the previous one.
I still will recommend to buy this game only during a sale for those like me who generally aren't a big fan of mobile otome/visual novel games, but it's definitely a game you should play at least once.

哎嘿嘿~我喜欢这款游戏是因为TA能轻易完成我在现实世界不能做的事情：名正言顺的找牛郎，随心所欲的搞男人
我都不知道电脑前的我自己表情有多猥琐？！嘴角都快偷笑到耳根（裂口女）笑
一开始吧，我没适应TA这个速度，还有点小害羞。。。之后，慢慢习惯了，就觉得吧，再快点，我准备好了，加速啊，我好了，我可以，来吧！
每个角色都有他的亮点，我乐意是个DD，我一一谁一一都一一爱！

或许是我涉世太浅，刚好玩了这个游戏，碰巧也是我喜欢的类型

I am on my first route but I am here to say this otome is unlike any I have played. You get a choice of several handsome men who are on the top of the island in the courtesan district. You are a girl who must use one of these men to produce an heir to your family and later on, have casual company with as there are no men who wander freely on the island! (Total fish fest and I would most definitely find a way to be chilling inside the district for work or whatever. lol). Anyway, my first route choice was Gakuto only because well, that is Gackt's name and it is no secret I have a crush. Anyway, it was a good choice for me but overall I am unsure if the choice was perfect for the overall game. I will be back to update when finished!
