The Little Acre es una aventura indie de apuntar y clic con estética dibujada a mano y vibra de cuento familiar… de esos donde todo es “adorable” hasta que te das cuenta de que estás resolviendo puzzles mientras un mundo fantástico te mira con cara de “¿ya terminaste?”. Controlas principalmente a una protagonista femenina y te mueves entre escenarios 2D/2.5D con perspectiva isométrica, buscando objetos, combinando cosas y empujando la historia como si fuera un libro pop-up con ganas de presumir arte.

La primera impresión es fuerte: es colorido, atmosférico y tiene ese encanto de animación clásica que te hace pensar “ok, esto se ve hecho con cariño”. Luego te pega el recordatorio: es un juego de un solo jugador, muy centrado en narración y minijuegos, con progreso lineal y momentos donde el “solo con mouse” se siente más como una declaración política que como una decisión de diseño.

The Little Acre es ese juego que se ve mejor de lo que “juega”: una aventura indie con corazón, arte precioso y una historia que avanza sin perderse. Si te gustan los cuentos interactivos, los escenarios adorables y el apuntar y clic clásico, aquí hay una experiencia agradable y bien presentada.

Pero también es un título que vive de su encanto visual y de su tono familiar; cuando buscas profundidad, sorpresa o rejugabilidad, te quedas con un “estuvo lindo” y un silencio incómodo. Y sí, 0 jugadores actuales: no es que estés solo por elección artística… es que el pueblo se fue.

The Little Acre es una aventura gráfica clásica, sencilla y muy simpática, que apuesta fuerte por su estilo visual y su tono ligero. La animación dibujada a mano es su mayor atractivo y le da mucha personalidad a un mundo que, sin ser profundo, resulta agradable de recorrer.

Los puzzles son accesibles y rara vez frustrantes, lo que lo hace ideal para jugar de forma relajada, aunque también implica que el desafío es bastante bajo. La historia cumple, con algunos momentos encantadores, pero no termina de despegar ni sorprender demasiado.

Kurz aber sehr süß. Macht definitiv Spaß zu spielen, kein Potential für Frust. Es gibt ein Hilfesystem, ist aber eigentlich nicht weiter nötig. Man kann in 90 Minuten entspannt durchkommen.
Hätte auch acht Stunden davon gespielt, aber es war auch sehr angenehm, zur Abwechslung einen ganz klaren, direkten Handlungsstrang zu haben, ohne Abbiegungen und ohne Rätsel-Fallen an denen man tagelang festsitzt.
Falls es irgendwann eine Langfassung gibt, würde ich sie sofort nehmen!

Мило и так по-домашнему уютно и простенько всё в этой игре. Вариативность скудная, анимация приятная, персонажи забавные, все точки применения предметов/активности подсвечены заранее, мини-игр нет. [i]Единственной слабой стороной этой игры является небольшая сыроватость технической части: 2 раза попадал на том, что применяю предмет на нужном объекте, бегаю вокруг и рядом с ним и результата ноль, но только вот в какую-то определенную область приблизился и вуаля - то же самое, но уже работает. Так же прыжки по кувшинкам входили несколько раз в цикл и герой сам скакал взад-вперёд-взад-вперёд.. ещё там же где кувшинки на закрытую дверь один раз нажал и пропала возможность перемещаться/использовать точки. Проходится часа за три. По скидке - однозначно брать.

Отличный короткий квест, который проходится за ненапряжные пару часов. Что короткий - минус, но все остальное - явные плюсы. Рисовка, юмор, анимация, интересные (хоть и не сильно сложные) головоломки, все заставляет держать внимание на этой истории и хотеть ее закончить. Второе прохождение заняло ровно 55 минут на расслабоне. Надеюсь, данный проект получит продолжение и будет радовать игроков милотой

The only controversial drawback of this game is that it is too short. And at the same time - an advantage. What I needed right now was a game that was not too long. It can be comfortably completed in 2-3 hours, exploring all the small details placed in the game space. To get all the achievements missed on the first playthrough, the second one will be enough (one of them requires a restart). But the game is wonderfully executed: pleasant, charming 2D art, good soundtrack, full voice acting of dialogues, a system of hints and tips, a very kind (though not completely) and positive story. The game is filled with humor, and from the intro to the character design, it conveys this cheerful lightness in everything.

I had a great time playing it, and it was a rare pleasure. Perhaps someone will consider the lack of some settings as a drawback, such as the lack of a windowed mode or some other functions, but these are trifles. The game fulfills its task of telling a short story in a fun way. Many thanks to the developers. It can be safely recommended to fans of classic quests, but it is also well suited for those who are afraid to try themselves in this leisurely genre for the first time: the short duration and hints will eliminate serious difficulties.

The Little Acre seems to aim at recreating the charm of Saturday morning cartoons in the form of a video game. The hand-drawn animations are impressive, but that’s where the praise ends. We get some point-and-click puzzles, but they are simple and serve mostly as a means to progress the story. Unfortunately, the story itself feels uninspired and wraps up in just 1–2 hours. Despite its brevity, the game struggles to stay engaging. Little Acre is well-made, looks great, and has even (so-so) voice acting, but I would not recommend it (unless you love the style or buy it for someone younger and plan to play it together).

Милая, местами юморная игра с неплохой графикой, несложными заданиями и активными, живыми персонажами, среди которых встречаются умилительные животные (но есть и пара страшненьких). Процесс игры показался довольно увлекательным, но - как и можно было ожидать - рассчитанным скорее на детей, чем на взрослых. Подсказки при прохождении не требовались - если возникает затруднение, знай тыкай предметами из инвентаря на все доступные точки, что-нибудь да сработает. Причём иногда это выглядит закономерным и логичным, а иногда продиктовано сюжетом и не очевидно.

Не понравилось:
- ненужная драма. Почему нельзя было сделать полный хеппи-энд? Взрослые не прочувствуют эту драму из-за мультяшности и краткости истории, а детям не обязательно сталкиваться с трагедией посреди вроде бы позитивной игры. Кто-то испытает потрясение и разочарование, а в ком-то сопереживание просто не проснётся, ну и смысл?
- очень короткая история, где ряд достижений зарабатывается благодаря скорости реакции. Почувствовала лёгкое опустошение в конце - хотелось больших приключений и большей кульминации.
- скомканный финал с опять-таки недетским твистом. Тема Нины осталась нераскрытой.

Cute little game. It was an enjoyable little romp, though I missed out on a few achievements due to not asking for help and taking a break in the middle with the game paused.
This is definitely worth a play with a good little short story that has a beginning/middle/end as well as leaving room for extras and possibly a prequel, though doesn't need one. Music is very good all throughout, the voice acting is top notch, Dougal is the bestest boy though his alternate world counterpart is also the bestest for that world.

Puzzles were pretty simple, only one took me more than a few attempts and that was due to me missing an order. All in all, nothing negative to say about it.

Como já dito milhares de vezes nas outras reviews, o jogo é curtinho de mais, porém adequado para se divertir e ficar satisfeito por ter jogado. Os gráficos do jogo é inteiro feito a mão, na qual mostra toda dedicação e carinho botado nesse jogo. Quando vemos os personagens, não há tempo para se conectar com os eles, por conta de ser muito curto o jogo, na qual peca um pouco, porém justo na qual o jogo se promete, um point and click de aventura cartunesco.

I liked the daughter Lily. Nice to have a playable girl character that isn't helpless but also not an NLOG.
I liked that the objects you can interact with are marked and you don't have to click on every pixel to find what you can do. But still I feel this is aimed at children, because the puzzles are all very easy.

It's so short it's borderline disappointing yet it's so charming in its style, you can't help but just love it.
Or at least that's what happened to me.
I walked in this game looking for an old style, hand drawn, point and click adventure game. In that quest, I wasn't disappointed because THE LITTLE ACRE is all of that and more: good voice acting, lots of humour, a very good crescendo, and an interesting world building.
The problem is it's so insanely short, that you're gonna complete it without help of sorts in around the 1 hour mark! And that is an incredible shame cause the premise for a masterpiece is there.
So you have to walk in this game knowing it's short, and while the story comes to a conclusion, that same ending feels definitely rushed and you left hanging for more.
Except no that's it. 1 hour, and it's gone.
A must buy on a sale, cause it oozes style, charm, great drawings and a nice world.
Full price? No thanks.

I stopped playing because I was bored and just did not care about the story at all.

But I think for people who like adventures this could be nice little game.
Nice graphics, simple user interface, areas to click are large, not pixel fighting in this game.
The puzzles are ok, at least not artificial and complete nonsense like in many highly praised adventure games I hated for their stupid nonsensical "puzzles".

I haven't played such a nice little old school adventure game in a while. Its nothing on par with the Broken Sword series or as funnyas the Luas Arts Games but it has charm and is bite size enough to finish in a day.

Pros
+ Among the cutest and sexiest voice acting I have seen in the father and daughter pair, the accents is amazing lol.
+ Traditional hand drawn inspired background and graphics, the people animation are simpler 2D shaders but still nicely drawn and pleasing.
+ No crazy unsolvable puzzles, didn't have to use a hint or solution guide. Most are quite logical or limited in environmental interaction for you to figure it out.
+ While not the best storyline, its still entertaining enough though a lot has been left unsaid about the world and world building.
+ Cute side characters, here's to you dog, caterpillar and giant water monster.
+ Nostalgic return to old school adventure games for those missing it.
+ The black cat, cutest thing in the world (i own one so this tugs at my heartstrings seriously).

- The game puzzles and mechanics are simple and straightforward.
- It's a short game and by short its even poked fun at it with a speed run achievement of an hour.

Very charming little 2 to 3 hour point-and-click adventure and certainly recommended.

You play alternately as Aidan and as his daughter Lily, and while Aidan's animation at the start of the game (i.e., "big Aidan") could have used some finessing, generally it's a gorgeous looking game. Sound and music are good; voice acting for Aidan is fine, and for Lily is pretty much perfect. Probably particularly good to play together with a smaller child. Art book provided as free DLC.

A very short but cute hand drawn style point & click game! This is obviously aimed towards kids but adults would find enjoyment in this game too, it's on the easy side from the puzzling aspect but the adventure are quirky and colourful. The devs could easily make a sequel or prequel since the story structure is already in place and I would certainly play it to see what they come up with.

It's a good game but the time length does put a big dent in it's scoreline.

This game was an absolute GEM! I played it with my kid and she LOVED it! We both did. The cartoon style is very nice, the humor is excellent and the puzzles were clever and kind of challenging. There were a couple where the timing was off or you had to click more than once to register and a couple missed the mark. But overall the game was incredibly entertaining. I only wish it were longer! Kind of short, but that's a compliment. I really hope they make more!!!!

It's a very cute game! Easy to play and easy to get sucked into for a little more than an hour. The achievements are also easily gettable if you play the game a couple times. The story does become a little rushed towards the end and I wish they had had time to flesh it out a bit more, but that doesn't impede me from coming back to the game every so often to play it again when I want some good lighthearted gaming.
Definitely worth buying if you enjoy point and clicks!!

A Charming but rushed experience. The Little Acre is a point-and-click adventure game where you play as both Aidan and his Daughter, Lilly Aiden, Wake up, and the game instantly does a great job of setting the tone for the game and giving you an idea of what it will be like by forcing you to get dressed without leaving the bed so that you don't wake Lilly... Usually, adventure games have stupid puzzles that don't make sense, like mixing a toaster with a bathtub to end your suffering... here thankfully, every single puzzle makes sense… which could lead veterans of this genre to feel the game is too simple… But it was a nice change of pace, and I enjoyed the simplicity of these logic puzzles… The art style and animation are hands down the greatest part of this Experience and are ultimately its saving grace.

The entire game is done in an old-school hand-drawn Disney style… and how the characters interacted with different items in the game, their facial expressions…, and everything about the animation made me smile way more than I had any hopes of it doing… Unfortunately, the animation kept me going… and the gameplay was enjoyably simple enough to not make progression feel like a chore…. It even offered hints and solutions, making this an amiable game for all ages to enjoy… but the overall feel of this game is a little below average thanks to the voice acting and the story delivery… Aiden wakes up and wonders where his father is… You have to unlock his shed, where you find this machine that takes you to the land of chibi-formed characters… Shortly after, Lily makes breakfast for herself as her dad is gone and goes on a search for him... ending up in this same land… All of this is fine… it’s a great plot… but its laughably rushed…

There's no character development… no reason to care about anything going on… It feels like a storyboard with no meat between plot points… The delivery is literally. Where are you? Found you. It's that fast. No conflict, no build-up… It's a question and an instant answer for 2 hours. And the voice acting here isn't necessarily bad... but it doesn't fit the characters… The evil dude sounds like Makiplyer telling a ghost story… and Lilly and Aiden sound more like brother and sister than father and daughter… You can tell that no effort went into finding fights for the vision of these characters. It's almost like they were randomly assigned to people and took whatever they got… While The Little Acre tells a rushed story and doesn't offer too engaging **** experience.

PROS:
1. The art is just... on another level! 2D, traditionally drawn characters with fluid Disney-esque animation, stunning backgrounds, and just... WOW! There was so much detail - you would see a hand-drawn animation of a rat running on the foreground, for no other reason then to contribute to the atmosphere. My eyes were having a feast just watching the funny expressions of the characters (the CAT) or the details in the backgrounds! I cannot stress enough how impressed I was with the animation!
2. The characters, on top of being perfectly animated and highly expressive, were enjoyable to follow. No, I can't say there was a lot of depth and complexity in terms of the story, but I was never bored, and the funny situations that both protagonists stumbled into kept me entertained.
3. Of course, I will soon move on to CONS, but before I do, I want to say that this game sure wasn't perfect, but it felt very personal. You can tell it was done with passion and love, and I hope to see more games like that.

CONS:
1. The BIGGEST one was BUGS! I didn't see anyone else complain about this, so it could be just me, but there were several occasions. For example, when I loaded a saved game, the mouse would disappear and I wouldn't be able to do anything (I had to reload the save a few times until it started working). Another example: I kept jumping back and forward on the lilly pads (just clicking aggressively with the mouse until it stopped). Fortunately, both of these were fixable, and I didn't have to restart the game.
2. The puzzles were divided into three types: perfectly challenging, childish, or ridiculously convoluted. I didn't know there was a hint system, so I had to use a walkthrough 3–4 times when I was stuck. Unfortunately, there were a few occasions where, even if I did find the solution by myself by mistake, it would seem so absurd that it would take me out of the immersion.
3. The game is super short. I actually had dinner while playing it and with the long breaks it took about 2.5 hours. I bought it for about €3, so of course I was't expecting anything lengthy. Just make sure you wait for the discounts, €13 is too much for 2 hours of gameplay in my personal opinion.

I am happy to have The Little Acre in my Steam collection :)

i only have played for 1 hour and the game is vary good in story and style and good none difficult puzzles good music and a little funny jokes from time to time
i found it annoying when the characters walk slowly instead of having the option to walk faster or run, some times you see the end of texture frames (Mostly Leaves)

and i hope they add in there next game the option to run faster and zooming in and out

Безнадёжный point'n'click квест на час.

В игре первоклассный арт-дизайн и и анимации, но всё остальное больше походит на технодемку.

Перемещения персонажей по локациям топорные, при этом в самих локациях не достаёт слоёв, в результате чего визуально персонажи начинают заходить на находящиеся на переднем плане задники, из-за чего ломается перспектива.

В самой игре, несмотря на то, что она крохотная, встречаются скриптовая баги: иногда не срабатывает переход на следующую локацию (просто не происходит); в части локаций персонаж прыгает по кувшинка, при этом может войти в бесконечный цикл прыгания туда-обратно без возможности вырваться из этого цикла. В обоих ситуациях спасает только выход в меню.

Очень слабо проработан звук: речь главных героев то нормальная, то тихая.

Сюжет больше похож на концепт, то есть прописано начало и конец, но содержания катастрофически не хватает.
Вступление подано несуразно, концовка, кстати, максимально скомкана.

Локализация тоже является проблемой, и дело не только в отсутствии интерфейсных шрифтов в русской версии.
Тут и набор писем в самом начале игры (на текстурах), которым не даётся никакого перевода; тут и пометки для актёров озвучки в духе "(пауза)", которые зачем-то фигурируют в переводе; тут просто несколько переведённых строк.

Cute but short, and a bit of moon logic / nitpicky in some of the gameplay (like [spoiler] really difficult to get the correct placement for Lily so the sword would cut of that gnome's head - I was sure there was a bug! but there wasn't, just really, [u]really[/u] particular on placement [/spoiler]). I wasn't thrilled with the female parts of the voice-acting, though the father was fine. And the mix of accents is inconsistent - the father sounds vaguely Scottish, but the daughter Lily sounds more American, and Nina sounds very American indeed, while Merr is just - well ... tedious. And the spoken comments and dialogues are kinda slow and longwinded in many places., and difficult to get to skip after first run. I'm usually happy with slow-paced games, but found this an unevenly paced mixture of in places annoyingly slow exposition combined with some cartoon-frenzy action. And some scenes have lots of detail and interactables, whilst otheres have hardly any - so it sometimes felt a bit unbalanced in the gameplay.

Feeling a bit mixed on this one as I guess shows.
But : it's charming, and cute without being twee, good enough story though shallow, and overall colourful and enjoyable for passing a couple of hours on a bored afternoon.

No real violence past some standard cartoon-fighting, but a bit of sudden monsters (Disney type cartoon monsters, so not very terrible) and being swallowed whole by some water monster thing. So not very scary, though Merr at the end was a bit over the top with his devil-ishness, and at first glance seems that he kills both Dad and dog, although resolves fairly quickly that they come back to life.
So the game should work for smaller kids as well as people looking for (mostly) non-violent.

Note on hints/help: I wish it had been clear that there was Hint /Solution to be found under the Notes tab. I didn't realise that until after game completion. (And therefore had to resort to walkthrough a couple of places where the moon logic had me stumped).

It is very apparent to me that The Little Acre was made by many a good artist and animator and not one good writer. The Little Acre's art style is like a lower quality Disney animation and looks quite alright, but I found the story, an element quite important for point and click adventures like The Little Acre, quite awful. The overarching story, important characters, and world lore are all not well developed, and that is the main reason as to why I cannot recommend anyone buy The Little Acre.

好喜欢这种手绘解密，除了短真的没啥缺点
跟其他解密不一样的地方在于这里面所有可交互的物品都是用发光的红点明确标明的，所以不存在忽略掉某个物品而卡关的问题
可能是我的脑电波能对上制作组，我觉得解密还蛮简单的，除了帽子那我是真没想到
这游戏最不友好的地方在于必须要二周目才能拿到所有成就，其中还有些比较考验操作（零失误才能拿到的），所以建议一周目慢慢玩多熟悉，然后二周目一次性不失误一口气过掉（我懒，所以直接解锁了
还有一个想吐槽的点在于，莉莉最后和妮娜通话时，妮娜说要去找他们，然后就没有然后，直接结局了
爷爷死的也很草率，母亲怎么死的也没交代，就感觉很多背景信息不完善，故事就有点潦草，解密游戏还是需要一个完整的故事情节才更有代入感的

It's a pretty game, but that's about as far as I can compliment it. The point & click genre demands an engaging story or interesting puzzles to hold the player's interest, but this game unfortunately fails to satisfy either of those requirements. Beyond the very first area of the game, puzzles don't get much more complex than interacting with at most four interactive elements all on a single screen. Without engaging puzzles, the only thing left is the story and well... it fails to gain any momentum. The game introduces characters pivotal to the plot without making any attempt to flesh them out whatsoever, and then suddenly ends unexpectedly as soon as what one would think is the 2nd act of the story, in a way that ties everything up so neatly I feel almost insulted.

Overall, there's barely an hour's worth of gameplay here, and at $18.50, that's an extremely steep asking price for a game with very little length and substance. I sadly have to say pass on this one.

The only downside is the story itself. It's short and disjointed, leaving you feeling like there were many things planned that never made it into the game. At the start, you're thrown into the story without any context or backstory, which can make the puzzles seem a bit confusing.

As you progress through the game, you'll notice that the mood of the story is all over the place. It's light and fun at times, but then suddenly turns dark and serious, making it hard to keep up. The ending comes too soon and leaves a lot of things unresolved, which is a shame because there was so much potential for more.

Overall, The Little Acre is a great game for a short introduction to a new world, but it falls short in some areas. The voice acting, artwork, and animation are top-notch, and some of the characters are memorable. However, the narrative is a bit rough around the edges, which can detract from the overall experience.

The Little Acre is a charming point and click title with focus on the animation. It's a short title - I played it 3 times to get all achievements (around 4 hours).
The story, I feel, was the weakest point of the game. It kinda was there to motor everything but the exposure and just somewhat fast, rushed pacing felt off. All characters were just somewhat of a shell of something but still, they served their purpose.
With that in mind, you would have thought I wouldn't recommend the title. Yet, I came in for the artstyle mostly and stayed for it. The animation can be sometimes wonky but with a small production team, I understand why that was the case. The expression however, were so silly at times - ESPECIALLY Douglas the dog was my favourite with just broad range of emotions showing on the animal's face. I feel the focus was due to the game being in memory of an actual dog - and I found that quite lovely.
The sound design was also okay, nothing really that will stay with me yet, it had brought charm here and there. I do feel the voice acting could use a bit of maybe more flare to it but as I said - I came for the art style and stayed for it.

I unfortunately do think that if you would want it, you should get it on a sale - as I did, which probably impacts my overall view of the game. But still, I do think people should give it a try and have a nice evening with it ;)
