The Albino Hunter is a fairly typical RPG Maker game, and unfortunately it also inherits many of the genre’s weakest traits. While the game is quite short for an RPG Maker title, this actually works in its favor, as there is very little here to keep the player engaged for long.
The core gameplay quickly becomes dull. Characters are constantly swapped in and out of the party, which makes it difficult to feel any sense of progression or attachment to them. Instead of developing a consistent team, the game overwhelms the player with far too many side characters, most of whom add very little to the experience.
The story is messy and unfocused. It jumps from idea to idea without a clear direction, lacking a central theme, goal, or sense of purpose. There is no strong narrative thread to follow, making it hard to stay invested in what is happening. Combat also fails to provide any satisfaction, as the game is generally too easy and never gives the impression that your characters are actually becoming stronger.
Exploration is usually a key appeal of RPG Maker games, but The Albino Hunter undermines this by occasionally placing the player under time pressure. This clashes badly with the genre and discourages careful exploration.
However, the biggest and most unforgivable issue is technical. The game crashes constantly. Because of this, you are forced to save after nearly every single fight just to avoid losing progress. This completely breaks immersion and makes the game frustrating to play.
Overall, The Albino Hunter is a disappointing experience. Between its unfocused story, shallow gameplay, and severe technical problems, it is very difficult to recommend.
Ну что, поиграв чуть более часа, сложилось впечатление что разрабы решили намешать в один котел кучу жанров, но получилось как обычно, лучше хорошо но мало, чем все подряд но плохо. Этим все и сказано.

A fun and charming RPG Maker game. The gameplay is solid, and the story is fun (and more than just bash this and slice that).
This game is actually pretty good and I enjoyed every bit of humour in there. Loved the simplicity of just leveling up the characters without the need to manually add stats and level up whichever skills, so there is no headache of min-maxing. The number of save slots is just right. The soundtrack is great and so is the art.
The achievements were pretty challenging but not too difficult. It was quite a joy achievement hunting. I had to look at some guides, but the guides on steam are pretty well done.
The only bad thing about this game is that it crashes way too easily, so I had to save after every single fight.
Had no idea that I would sink 28 hours of game play into a game like this, but it was worth every hour and every cent. Not too sure if I would get the Revamp version, but I may...

Short game but interesting story, it's a bit linear but it's fine if you can buy it on sale.
Зная, что игра сделана через RPG Maker, начинаешь испытывать преждевременное уныние. Игры на этом конструкторе сделаны по одному образу и подобию. Играл в одну – играл во все. Различие присутствует лишь в сюжете и глубине проработки.
Сюжет не пытается выдумать какую-то сложную драму. Здесь есть герой, которому делать нечего, и он начинается скитаться – выполнять мелкие задания. Каждый квест – это маленькая история. Все они переплетаются, образуя единый мир. Однако сам мир маленький: меньше десятка локаций, и по площади они небольшие. Персонажи прописаны более-менее нормально. Но. Вылезает приём «Ломание 4-ой стены» и начинается разжёвывание дополнительно. Дело в том, что лучше бы разработчики по максимуму вложились в мир игры, нежели писать о своём вдохновении. Тогда бы и играть было гораздо интереснее.
Геймплей в подобных играх везде одинаковый. Идёте по локации, видите противников, подходите, пошаговый бой, качаетесь, покупаете лут, собираете напарников. Какого-то взаимодействия между вами нет. Чтобы кого-то выгнать из пати, надо дойти до дома напарника и уже там щёлкнуть по какому-то предмету.
RPG Marker очень облегчает жизнь молодым разработчикам, но он совершенно убивает стиль, дизайн и оригинальность проекта. Совершенно нет никакого погружения, бродя по этим сказочным пиксельным текстурам, с поверх наложенными деревянными анимациями, дополнительно всё убивают одинаковые звуки и одинаковые мотивы музыкального сопровождение. Вылетов и багов в игре хватает.
Что касается [i] The Albino Hunter[/i], то это не самый плохой вариант среди подобных игр. Игра смогла меня затянуть на десяток часов, однако пройдя большую половину игры, я потерял мотивацию. Не то чтобы изначально она была, но при огромном количестве минусов у игры разработчики очень серьёзно озаботились про ломание грёбаной четвёртой стены.

I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game, picked my character and world and started playing but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories.
As usual, i have no idea how i ended up getting this game, but i have to say, i enjoyed the experience. It is tropey, and very much a "is what it is" but what it is, is very decent. Breaks the forth wall and has its nice sprinkle of jokes which keep it fresh. As someone that isn't a particular fan of these type of games, it was a good one to land on.
Runtime error. Can't play it. Not worth trying to fix. Hard pass. :)

Nicht sicher, ob ich es nicht bereue, dass ich das Spiel überhaupt angefangen habe...
Albino Hunter ist ein RPG-Maker-Spiel. Damit ist eigentlich schon alles gesagt. Da es mir hier sehr schwer fällt, das Spiel in groben Blöcken zu beschreiben, versuche ich es im Telegramm-Stil:
Pro:
- Relativ viel "Inhalt" / Abwechslung
- faires Levelsystem
- großzügige Belohnungen / umfangreiche Händler
- Entwicklerinnen "warnen" ingame vor eigenen Problemen / empfehlen an wichtigen Stellen "Saves" und verraten z. T. die "Voraussetzungen" (aka Level 30 Endboss oder tue das und das...)
Kontra:
- Abstürze über Abstürze über Abstürze (es ist keine Übertreibung, der Code ist ein Trauerspiel)
- Die Story selbst: Es gibt keine. Alles ist super zusammenhanglos.
- Das Spiel ist "zu leicht" (man kann es aber mit einem speziellen Gegenstand "schwerer" machen)
- Die Teleportsteine sind völlig nutzlos (oder ich habe nicht verstanden wie man sie benutzt), ergo: Extrem viel dummes Gelaufe über die übergroße Map.
- Das Equipment-Menü ist ebenfalls stark verbuggt und erfordert viel Handarbeit
- Die Steuerung wird rigoros (wie fast immer bei RPG-Maker-Spielen) auf die Pfeiltasten gezwungen. Keine Umbelegung möglich.
Vor allem die zwei ersten Kontrapunkte sind wirklich wichtig. Das Spiel hat willkürliche Abstürze in Massen. Bei mir gab es mindestens 20 Abstürze, immer bei beliebigen Kampfsequenzen. Das killt die Stimmung massiv, selbst wenn man sich angewöhnt alle 2 Minuten zu speichern.
Die Story des Spiels ist leider nicht vorhanden. Es ist eher ein "open world" Spiel. Unser Hauptcharakter sucht sich ständig alle verfügbaren "Bounties" und löst diese dann. Seine Party besteht dabei manchmal aus 4, manchmal nur aus ihm, weil sich manche Mitglieder auch mal aus persönlichen Gründen verziehen. Leider gibt es auch mehr als 3 NPCs, so dass man laufend gezwungen ist zu "wählen". Wirklich Einfluss auf die Quests oder irgendwelche Storylines scheint das Lineup aber kaum zu haben.
Fazit: Teilweise hatte ich Momente, in denen mir "Albino Hunter" Spaß gemacht hat. Oft, gerade nach Abstürzen oder gegen Ende, hat mich das Spiel aber nur gelangweilt, frustriert oder sogar geärgert. Ich schätze, für die guten Stunden schafft es das Spiel gerade so über die "Daumen hoch" Grenze, aber ein "Fan" ist aus mir nicht geworden...
PS: Das Levellimit von Level 30 für den "Endboss" ist übrigens nicht wahr. Meine 4er Party war ca. 22-24 im Schnitt und konnte trotzdem bestehen. Ja, der Kampf war durchaus fordernd, der Schwerste überhaupt, aber trotzdem hat es im 1. Versuch geklappt (vielleicht war er "schwächer", weil ich davor bei der Drowgeneralin war, keine Ahnung)

One of the better RPG Maker games I've played. The story is interesting, the writing is solid (and at times, funny), and the gameplay has enough unique tweaks to make it engaging. A labor of love from the creator, who is wonderful when it comes to fan engagement and keeping up to date on other products. A fun experience all around.
This is the slowest game I have ever played.

It's one of those extremely low budget games that you expect to be ass and then it isn't if you actually give it a chance. I only bought it for lols but I was surprised. Decent storyline and good fights. Maybe thats RPG Maker or maybe it's the dev's skill. Either way not a waste of time.

Old School Final fantasy turn based RPG
A nice, casual indie RPG with a couple of potential romantic interests. The story is short and light-hearted with a couple of really good jokes, but since it gives off a general fanfiction vibe, I'd recommend it for younger players.
Olha, vou ser franco e direto. Esse jogo está longe de ser perfeito e uma grande recomendação, mas eu tenho uma razão para avaliar ele positivamente e imagino que possa ser interessante para você.
Bem, eu comprei esse jogo em promoção esperando totalmente nada, expectativa era zero e por isso ele surpreendeu bastante. Embora ele seja um jogo de certa forma instavel (alguns bugs malucos e crashes irritantes) se você salvar ele bastante é totalmente jogavel. Mas acho que o que faz esse jogo ser muito legal e divertido são 3 coisas.
1. O amor que o(a) criador tem pelo game, que é algo que você pode ver em muitos momentos, desde o início quando ele comenta que era baseado em uma história com a irmã, até personagens e interações dentro do game. O game tem literalmente uns 7 finais diferentes, e MUITOS easter eggs. Tive um problema com o game e o desenvolvedor me respondeu em menos de 24h, então embora o jogo esteja bem crashado, não é como se ele tivesse sido abandonado.
2. O humor e a história são muito bons. Não são espantosamente bons, mas se você não espera nada do jogo, ele te surpreende bem, Momentos mais criticos são avisados para que você faça um save e um backup, e deu para perceber que o criador tentou se esforçar, pois tem um evento de literalmente 1 hora no meio da história, que tem várias ramificações.
3. E por ultimo a liberdade e potencial dele. Sinto que se o criador se dedicasse mais, ele conseguiria dar um grau legal no jogo. A liberdade que o jogo passa é muito boa também, você pode ir para vários pontos, e até no final do game escolher como terminar.
Não sei, eu me senti bem jogando esse game, e acho que o que mais conta disso tudo é realmente o amor que o desenvolvedor teve pelo jogo, sentimento que é bem difícil de você passar. Se você puder, compre para ajudar, e de uma chance. Só tenha um pouco de paciencia com os crashes e bugs que a jornada vai ser boa.

30 часов фармились карточки и вот я решил поиграть, так сказать попробовать поиграть, потому что основной геймплей это разговоры с NPC, очень долгие диалоги.
Максимум чего можно ждать от этой игры - это хорошая скидка, чтобы выбить карточки.
Если хотите поиграть в хорошую ролевую игру, просто купите Breath of Death VII, она даже дешевле этой.

I am not a fan of RPGMaker games at all so already this title starts at a disadvantage. The only reason I can think how this ended up in my library is through a bundle of some sort, because I would never actively purchase one. That doesn't mean I don't hold out some kind of hope that one day one will grab me with its zippy storyline and witty dialog and change my mind forever about RPGMaker games. Neither of that is present in [b][i]The Albino Hunter[/i][/b] (an absolutely terrible title for a game). The dialog is cringe-inducing and the story is something I would expect to hear a middle schooler read out to me in English class. I think it would have been a better fit for the creator if they had simply gone the visual novel route instead of RPGMaker because there is very little "RPG" here. Based off this title alone, I still won't hold my breath just yet that any of these community or single person made RPGMaker games are actually any good other amateur passion projects.

It's ok but a little difficult to recommend. Some people will enjoy this. The main problem is that it can't figure out how much it wants to be an adventure game and how much it wants to be an RPG.

I really liked this game more than I thought I would. It's a basic RPG Maker game, and yet it is still interesting to play. The humor works, the characters are a minimum imtersting, and the story makes you stay. There's tons of branching paths, optional content and funny situation that would keep you interested in this game for a while.
Very nice RPG game with interesting story and memorable NPCs.

Combat is standard attack, low damage bulletsponging nonsense. Most of the dialogue are long drawn out anime-style banter with unequal font sizes for dramatic effect, screen shaking.
Removing permanently for declutter.
The Albino Hunter is a dime-a-dozen RPGMaker game that fails on several levels;
First of all, there are no dialogue speed options, so you constantly have to press Space to speed up the text.
Secondly, after over an hour i had no new party members, no new equipment and only two dull new abilities (hit slightly harder, prevent status effects).
With this one-man party, the game has you fight enemies that have debilitating abilities (sleep, blind). This results in endless drawn-out battles in which you wait for your character to wake up so you can heal before going back to using the same attack over and over again.
On top of all that, every enemy type has its own dialogue and the game shows this the same dialogue every. single. time. Boring dialogue you've seen a thousands times followed by boring combat in which the enemy disables you constantly followed by boring post-combat dialogue you've seen a thousand times.
It's just bizarre that they messed up something as simple as a RPGMaker game so badly.
Interesting RPGMaker game. Has an interesting story, has a lot of humor, and the gameplay is... well, standard for RPGMaker games...
Well worth the price.

For the accessible methods made possible by RPG Maker softwares, these game products can be a hit-or-miss due to its technical limitations and easy making. Playing through the first half hour of The Albino Hunter, I was afraid that this would have proven the worse case due to familiar stock soundtracks and certain resources.
Going further still and past the demo length of the game, I've grown accustomed to the game's nature. What kept me going was its elaborate dialogue writing, the humor and its fourth-wall tropes. These are the strengths that help define it more as an adventure game rewarding exploration with turn-based combat coming by the player's choice or part of a story, rather than being overly present during exploration as standard JRPG games do.
I'm glad I didn't give up playing during the linear beginning part because as the game progresses, free reins are given to find new quests of different sorts; which upon completion get rewarding practically but primarily story-wise. Many characters are memorable and every one of them have their own quirks that add to the game's humor value. It shows that the dev team Cherry Co. Studios made this game with care, judging by the rich and enticing dialogues put into it while not shying from poking fun at both themselves and the JRPG tropes. They also show signs of activity in improving and fixing bugs in their game because, even at its flawed state, it's already fun and satisfactory as a whole.

RPG Maker strikes again! This is another low effort retro-pixel JRPG ripoff spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child."
This isn't even a good RPG Maker game. This one has a lot of bugs, a mediocre story, and a lot of grind, all of which add up to make a really terrible experience in an era where games like Skyrim and DOS:2 exist.
Gamers who want a good retro gaming experience would be better off playing the original Final Fantasy games or one of the better RPG Maker games. Gamers who want a good RPG obviously should be looking at some of the award winning entries made recently.

Великолепный образчик РПгмейкера. Персонажи великлепны, диалоги местами заставляют разбить лицо об стену в фейспальмах (в хорошем смысле), временами "чот_ржу", но в целом - крайне хороши. Графоний отличный, рисовка персонажей (именно аваторов) вообще радовала глаз на протяжении всей игры. Гринда особо нет - деньги есть всегда, хватает на все, ГГ - отличный хилер, прокачка простая. Одно маленькое "Ню": [spoiler]не проходите квест на убийство Мэра - он заканчивает игру. Пришлось загружаться после прохождения квеста и доходить квесты в Форте.[/spoiler]
Типичная игрушка с RPG-Maker, коих в стиме десятки-сотни, которая вылетает каждые 10 минут. Не рекомендую, просто не заходите сюда.
Достаточно хорошая игра для поделки из RPG Maker.
Геймплейно во многом схожа с другими играми из вышеупомянутого RPG Maker'а, а именно обычная JRPG. Открытый, но очень ограниченный мир, в котором кроме как выполнять квесты делать нечего. Команда из четырёх персонажей, среди которых есть постоянный главный герой (тот самый Охотник Альбинос(лучше не переводить)) и три опциональных основных персонажа. У каждого из них свой класс, а следовательно и оружие. Битвы происходят в пошаговом режиме.
И слава Cherry-Sam'e(она разработала игру и её персонаж в ней есть), что в The Albino Hunter нет рандомных инкаунторов, так что в неё можно играть не испытывая боль. Хотя больно будет всё равно, ибо игра иногда вылетает при начале битвы, поэтому приходится чаще сохраняться. Вообще на тему багов есть даже отдельный персонаж, а именно Глючная Фея, который(да, это мужик) предупреждает о том, что в данном месте могут быть баги или ещё что-то. В целом, игра нереально лёгкая, если не пропускать битвы и качаться.
Сюжет очень прост. Главный герой - Калимн, Охотник Альбинос, живущий далеко в полном одиночестве в горах. Представляет из себя крутого, спокойного и не особо разговорчивого(по сравнению с другими) персонажа аниме. Зарабатывает на жизнь выполняя всякие квесты. И вот однажды, после того, как наш главный герой набухался в баре, его ресетает на первый уровень(до этого был 42), он остаётся с ужасным снаряжением и совсем без денег. А дальше начинается прикольный сюжет, с забавными персонажами и неплохим юмором, который периодически таки заставляет улыбаться. Игра достаточно короткая для жанра, можно пройти часов за 10, но зато не успевает надоесть. Вообще, как я понял, этот мир - часть вселенной, созданной Cherry-Sam'ой. Причём в стиме игр от неё больше нет, ибо она автор фанфиков, а не разработчик.
Хорошая и приятная игра из RPG Maker, советую ознакомиться в перерыве между чем-то серьёзным.

Что бывает, когда человек не умеющий делать игры создает их? Правильно - он не сможем исправлять баги и ошибки в своем проекте. Так получилось и тут... Канадский комик решил создать свою игру на RPG maker. Получилось у него это неплохо. Интересные квесты, юмор в диалогах и я уж было готовился отдать игре несколько вечеров... Но тут столкнулся с проблемой - игра начала каждые 5-10 минут с ошибкой вылетать. Первым делом кинулся на форум где оказалось, что проблема не только у меня но и десятков других игроков... Что ответил разработчик? - Я комик, а не программист и не умею исправлять вылеты из игры. Вообщем послал всех далеко и надолго. Получай ответку и иди туда же "комик".

So this is one of the better RPG Maker games I have played. Like many it has very little custom artwork and mostly uses default assets.
This is a pretty traditional RPG system, but it is well balanced. Also the game has a lot of humor and a pretty good story.
Many RPG Maker games are buggy and feel half done. This is an exception, and feels like a real game just made in the engine.
For people that like JRPGs and want an entry with a little humor this is a good game to try.

honest to god what the ♥♥♥♥ i ran into a skeleton and he said he hated me so he crashed my game and i hadn't saved in a while what the ♥♥♥♥
For an indie game, it is good. It has some bugs in the forest which were annoying (game crashing). It is in the early part of the game, so I would just spend as little time there. The dev seems to really care about improving the game and created some dynamic characters with some humorous dialogs. It has enough content that I would recommend it.
Surprisingly better than what I would expected. Well balanced battles (kinda. once you get Helga and learn how to abuse her dual wield, you're OP af), funny plot, ultimate bosses and weapons, and you can even be a detective at the end. The plot is the strong point of the game. I'm not into romance story but the writters (mostly females, i think) merged it well into the adventure.
Now, cons: well. Not sure if I have any, a few minor bugs, and terrible cutscene arts. But that was expected considering the budget of the game. Would be awesome if they could hire a small artist than trying to sketch it out themselves, though.
ps: No it's not a racist game despite the name. In fact, the plot have anti-racism value. You cant treat someone by their races. Except rich white guys, especially ones that owns a hotel. Do you even see his face? Definitely evil.
One of the better RPG-maker games on the market - no random turn-based battles (you fight what you want), solid dialogue, plenty of content, and a well-crafted world. Buy it on sale!

Приятная графика, красивая музыка, в целом игра очень даже...Не нашел на нее русик и это печалит. Да и еще был крайне удивлен при попытке сделать скрин клавишей F12. Игруля без предупреждений выбросила меня в стартовое меню! Так что будте внимательней, тем более возможность поменять назначение клавишь, как я понял, отсутствует и это печалит еще больше...

The comedy in this game is AWESOME!!!!!!!! AHAHAAHAHAHH, So many good jokes and cute lines
The characters are amazing, every single one of them.
The story is just great whit many, many side quests so you won't get bored
Many types of enemies, some are strong, very strong some weak, so you fight weak then come back to strong one,because in some RPG maker games, where ever you are the enemies are same level,
here in one place you have like 3 types of enemies already,
The world is very nicely done, many there can be some new things in the world, I am an RPG maker veteran player ,
i played like 100 and 100 of games, I really don't see here any new stuff, only some new magic, that is really good
Here every hero has a ton aaaaaaaa ton of magic and spells, which is amazing, and I love it
So overall AMAZING game, buy it ppl and play it.

Excellent game but you will not be realizing this until you get past the early 'demo' stage of the game which is the weakest part due to lots of early 4th wall breaking banter.
Pro's
+ Interesting characters and lots of interaction with them.
+ At first seemingly small play area. Game map is revealed early on. Nevermind that though the game area is used well and you will be returning to same places many times.
+ Decent and not that hard combat. Can be made harder if that is what you want
+ Nice side stories and achievements
+ Endings. Lots of them. did not even find all of them.
- 4th wall breaking humour early and more later on. Did not find it amusing in the longer run.
- Random crashes. Keep those save files in order.
