Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission will allow players to form a team of 7 cards from a select 1,160 cards and enjoy seven-verses-seven card-based battles. this game is... interesting. for sure. if you're a dragonball diehard you might get something out of checking it out. for everyone else, it's a game with an overwhelming number of confusing and seemingly-pointless mechanics where sometimes you have to wiggle virtual cards around to power up moves. every fight feels similar, the story is boring, and while there's a few fun bright moments here and there with the what-if scenarios you run into... it's just a slog. I do enjoy making my own character cards, though.

unless you have to play EVERY dragonball game, not worth your time.

Love the game, though its not like any DB game you have played. It is a port of an card/arcade game that has been in Japan for over a decade before its release. Its more strategy than skill. The only real skill you require is timing (for that little red button). 9/10 for what it is. Multiplayer is basically dead no matter where you go (here and on switch) but its still a fun/great game to play solo or with friends! You also gotta go watch the promotional anime!

- No se actualizó demasiado, por lo que quedó anticuado con la Arcade super rápido.
- Su jugabilidad es un calco 1:1 a la de la Arcade... Pero eso lo vuelve lento y repetitivo.
- El Trunks locutor y las animaciones ineskipeables (como conseguir una SDB) agotan cuando intentas farmear, o jugar muchas misiones de seguido. Entorpecen el ritmo.
- El contenido es un OK, buena cantidad, pero podría haber tenido muchísima mas.
- No son tantas cartas como podría parecer.
- Las misiones custom online están ROTÍSIMAS (1 Goku ui que muere de un golpe da: Ambos Ticket Gacha + Objetos y accesorios OP + Una SDB GARANTIZADA por misión).
- La historia es totalmente olvidable, aunque se lo puedo perdonar.
- NULA comunidad Modder.
- No posee logros (lo cual me duele, este para mi era el juego de DB IDÓNEO para que tuviera).
- A dia de hoy, solo tiene menos de 10 personas como máximo conectadas online.
- Los gráficos, al ser copia de la Arcade, parecen muy obsoletos. Pero se agradece. Ya que por ello, mucha más gente puede permitirse jugar a este juego.

Solo recomiendo conseguirlo en una buena oferta, y si realmente eres fan de DB. Si solamente buscas un buen juego de cartas, este no es tu juego.

Before commenting on the game, one must first understand what exactly Dragon Ball Heroes as a series is to get an idea as to what they can expect from this game.

The series started all the way back in 2010 as Japan-only arcade cabinets which, to play, required the scanning of cards, sold through gacha machines, containing different characters with unique abilities and super attacks.

This game is a sort-of "port" of the arcade game, however with a whole new environment and story mode built exclusively to it. Really, the game is filled to the brim with content: story mode, spacetime rift quests, Arcade mode, Tournment mode, online play, all cards from SDBH World Mission 1–8, Universe Mission 1–2 & select cards up to UM11 and from various Heroes sets, card creation with nearly every character in the series up to that point and a tremendous amount of acessories, custom mission creation... really, you can probably get hundreds of hours of playtime out of this game if you're into its gameplay style. It might be a tad bit grindy, sure, but there are workarounds and methods to speed-up these sessions.

The main "complaint" I've seen people having is, of course, about the graphics. The reason why the models are so low-poly are
1. Characters got new models as they were introduced, but the ones who've been here the longest have also had their models for the longest, with some like Goku, Vegeta or Frieza using the exact same ones they did since 2010
2. These models were initially used on Heroes' predecessor, Dragon Battlers, which used the same models as its prequel, Bakaretsu Impact and its prequel, Data Cardass, which was developed by Dimps at the same time as the Budokai series, hence why they use the exact same models. Had Heroes upgraded their models from the start, they'd have probably followed a different art direction, but alas this did not happen. Still, newer cards, such as the Broly movie ones, are notably of much higher quality than the original ones, so at least you've got that.

The story mode and its cutscenes are also kinda wack, admitedly. They only use very basic visual effects, which is weird seeing as how many honestly incredible visuals some of the special abilities can pull off, and the characters are not particularly expressive either.

Still, if you're willing to overlook this detail and just enjoy the game for the fun, the enormous amounts of things to do and the endless options of decks you can build, it will most certainly be a very enjoyable experience. I also reccoment getting a friend to play with you, since it does support online and local battles, and it's honestly the best place to get the most enjoyment out of this game.

Lo bueno:
Muy adictivo y con buenos desafíos.
Tiene tanto un modo historia como un modo arcade bastante amplio.
La cantidad y variedad de cartas que vas consiguiendo, por ejemplo puedes crear un equipo completo en el que todos los luchadores sean Goku con diferentes versiones.
Los diferentes super ataques y la posibilidad de fusionar o de crear eventos que modifican la batalla según las habilidades especiales de las cartas que tengas.

This game is fun, for the right person. For me, it's loads of fun. I like gachas, I like goofy weird games, I like what-if scenarios, I like goofy versions of characters that don't exist.

If you get it for 5.99, it's beyond worth it. If you pay full price for it, for most people, it probably won't be near worth it. This is at most a 15.99 game.

That being said, it's also the type of game that could disappear off Steam shelves anytime, in my opinion. Get it if you really like Dragon Ball and some of the handheld/Budokai titles. Similar vibes, the graphics are pretty much Budokai amped up to look like a crazy fanmod at times.

Yo de niño era el tipo más feliz del mundo con una riñonera llena de tazos de Dragon Ball (feliz hasta que los perdía).

Ahora tengo ante mí un juego que combina Dragon Ball (cientos de personajes) + mecánica "gacha" de conseguir cartas (personajes) + superataques, explosiones (muchas) y gritos de las técnicas en japonés.

Ya no soy ningún niño, pero Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission me ha rejuvenecido.

El juego tiene unas mecánicas extremadamente peculiares. Explicártelas en un tocho de texto sería peor tortura que hacerte leer El Quijote en élfico.

Este es el juego de Dragon Ball que mas me atrapo por lejos. Quizás sea su amplio repertorio de personajes, su estilo de juego innovador, la gran variedad de estrategias que puedes realizar o su mecánica gacha, pero sin duda vale la pena probarlo. Se vuelve bastante adictivo y aunque pueda hacerse repetitivo a la larga, seguramente ya le habrás metido varias decenas de horas para ese entonces.

This is based on an arcade game where you physically place and slide cards on a large tablet. Novel for sure, but what I did not expect was that each action you take is a timing or movement based minigame of sorts. The ones that do not use buttons can be done with the mouse, left analog stick or a touch screen but none seem right to me as they are all surprisingly easy. These minigames and unskippable action scenes really drag each match down and I found them completely irritating and more bothersome as the game started introducing more mechanics to me.

The story mode is unique to the home version and is your typical what-if stories where a super powerful character shows up earlier in a Dragon Ball story than expected, but this time the main focus is on a set of very fan fictiony style characters. I personally find this hilariously charming, but I can see it being a major turnoff for many.

There is a lot to unlock and customize so if the gameplay structure looks appealing to you in videos I think it is worth trying out on a deep discount. If you get into it the replay value seems quite high too, though do read about character builds before you start as it seems like you can really put yourself in a bad position long term.

If Xenoverse is about rewriting Dragon Ball history and FighterZ is about perfecting the combat, then Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission is about unleashing every insane “what-if” idea ever scribbled in a 10-year-old’s notebook—and turning it into a card game.

Seriously. Want to team up Ultra Instinct Goku, Time Patrol Trunks, Super Saiyan 4 Vegito, and a robotic Mr. Satan with laser eyes? You can. And it might actually work.

But while this is a fever dream for fans, be warned: under the absurd fanservice is a surprisingly deep (and occasionally overwhelming) strategy card battler that’s not for everyone.

The core loop of World Mission is 7v7 card battles. You build a deck using hundreds of character cards, each with unique stats, super attacks, and abilities. Battles are played out on a grid-like field where you manage stamina, team synergy, and timing through quick-time events and positioning.

It’s flashy—every match has so many lasers, transformations, and aura explosions that it sometimes feels like the game is fighting itself. But once you learn the system, it’s deeply rewarding.

You don’t just mash buttons here. Victory depends on reading the battlefield, coordinating team types (Hero, Elite, Berserker), managing power levels, and executing support abilities and transformations at the right time.

It’s Yu-Gi-Oh with a Kamehameha twist.

This is fanfiction turned game, and it knows it. Fusions that never existed. Forms that were exclusive to the arcade games. GT and Super characters fighting side-by-side. Heroes-only forms like Super Saiyan 3 Future Trunks. It’s absurd and awesome.

Even the story mode is peak DB over-the-topness. A digital world where Dragon Ball cards come to life and threaten the real world? Yes. Do I care that it makes no sense? Not at all.

Visually, World Mission is chaotic. The graphics are flashy but not always clean. Cards look sharp, but animations are stiff compared to something like FighterZ. Sound design is DB-standard: punchy, shouty, and full of iconic screams and blast effects.

Menus, however, are a cluttered mess—there are so many systems, screens, and sub-menus that it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Tutorials exist, but they drip-feed complex mechanics that may leave new players scratching their heads for hours.

But for the hardcore Dragon Ball fan who’s ever said, “What if Cell fused with Buu and Goku teamed up with Raditz to fight them on Planet Namek while wearing Saiyan armor?”—this game is your multiversal playground.

It’s more of a collectible, customizable celebration than a tight gameplay experience—but if you love deep strategy, crazy combos, and maximalist fanservice, you’ll find endless joy here.

A chaotic, card-slinging celebration of Dragon Ball madness with more heart than polish.

Cela dit, si vous cherchez des combats à la *FighterZ* ou *Budokai*, vous serez déçu : ici, tout passe par la carte et les animations semi-scriptées.

Avec plus de 1000 cartes à collectionner, des missions scénarisées, un éditeur de cartes, un mode histoire qui mélange plusieurs arcs narratifs alternatifs, et des tonnes de personnalisation… il y a clairement de quoi faire. Cependant, cette densité peut devenir une barrière. L’interface est confuse, les tutoriels sont longs et souvent mal conçus, et la courbe d’apprentissage est abrupte. Il faut aimer se plonger dans des mécaniques complexes pour y prendre goût.

Côté fan-service, c’est l’orgie : transformations inédites, crossovers entre timelines, fusions farfelues… Si vous êtes un amateur de Dragon Ball "alternatif", vous serez servi. Si au contraire vous êtes attaché au canon et à la cohérence, vous risquez de lever les yeux au ciel. L’univers devient vite un joyeux bazar incohérent.

[h1]Techniquement, ça sent l’arcade[/h1]
Le style visuel est fidèle aux bornes d’arcade, avec des personnages en cell-shading rigide et une ambiance très flashy. Mais sur PC ou Switch, ça fait un peu daté. Les animations sont parfois saccadées, l’interface est vieillotte, et les bruitages répétitifs.

Mais pour les passionnés, c’est une mine d’or… un peu bordélique.

This is a Card Game in the Time Patroller Storyline of Dragonball. Its a conversion of a video game arcade machine into this version.

Pros:
+ Graphic is nice and retro - a polished Budokai 3 version
+ wide variety of cards over 1000 from different eras and iterations of Dragonball universe and what if alternative (Nappa SS3)
+ attacks look mighty and their animation is good
+ nice variety to build up your teams
+ reinforce cards like Goku with additional equipment and effects to make them stronger

Neutral
= Music , voices and sound design are acceptable
= Story is ok and a nice change not following the traditional DB storylines and more the Xeno / Time Patrol story. But its is not ground breaking

Negativ:
- rounds draw out far to long
- gameplay itself is to shallow. Press A in charge bar and time it so you have a higher bar charge than your opponent to take less damage or later with enough energy do super attacks
- Price of 50 Euro is overcharged
- too much repetition

Result: Not really recommendable especially at the full price point. If you are interested in alternative DB Story or simple card games you can buy it BUT at a deep deep discounted price. Gameplay is too shallow, boring and repetitive and story is ok for what it is. The only strong point where the kind of "retro" graphic and the "what if" scenario, teams and character designs / appearances.

This is kinda decent if you get it on sale. I don't like the timing mini game for basic attacks. I also wish it got a few more updates, the model upgrades from the last few SDBH arcade machine updates are so good. Not a fan of the missions where you're forced to use decks you didn't create. So many cards in this game, let me experiment myself

You should be able to replace Beat with one of the other avatar characters and the story should change to reflect that choice.

It's cool part of the arcade game was finally localized, but playing this just makes me want a sequel to the 3DS game, Dragon Ball Fusions. Of course with English voices and no censorship this time.

I got a bit more than 21 hours of fun out of this game before my save corrupted and now if i look at any of my decks the game crashes. Its a shame, because i was enjoying the game itself.

Its a bit basic as a card game but it was fun enough. I got my moneys worth of enjoyment out of it (i bought it at a massive discount). The game is no longer supported by its developers, i believe. Due to this and its bugs, i cannot recommend it.

Eu non son, dende logo, o público obxectivo deste xogo, salvo polo de ser de Dragon Ball. O do sistema de cartas abúrreme, e a maneira de narrar dáme mágoa máis que interese. Básicamente é un xogo baseado en pulsar no punto exacto un medidor que se move, e apenas facer nada máis. Pódense mellorar os personaxes con catro módulos, e facer un mínimo de estratexia, é certo, pero todo é tan simple que se pode pasar case sen tocalo.
Por riba, como digo a narrativa é lamentábel: inicia nun modo meta, empeza a meter historia de viaxe no tempo para controlalo, e como ocurre no manga e no anime, todo perde lóxica e acaba sendo un fliparse barato con máis lumes de artificio que de historia, así como poderes tolos.
Aporta? Non. É demasiado longo e repetitivo e nin entende o que quere contar. Supoño que terá fans, eu non entro nese grupo.

Eu realmente achei que estaria jogando dinheiro fora (mesmo sendo 20 contu na promoção), mas é um card game otimo, muito bom, vc ate msm pode criar suas cartas, oque n vai faltar é personagem, o jogo normalmente é bem salgado, CURTE DRAGON BALL? CURTE JOGO DE CARTA? GOSTA DE PERSONAGEM QUE NA OBRA ORIGINAL É INJUSTIÇADO ? aqui voce aproveita a gosto, os graficos me lembra MUITO O BUDOKAI 2 então sim, o jogo é feio por se tratar de um porte, na minha opinião se isso estiver em promoção, compre pois vale apena, agora normalmente no valor cheio não faça isso.
