Great game, fun with friends to imitate the European merchants!!

Fun for quick games of Splendor. AI presents a decent challenge. I find myself playing this one quite a bit and would recommend to anyone who wants to play against an AI.
it's alright
Oh shiny!
a lot of bug
Good
plays as it should no weird stuff
enjoyable game
Still suck at it but love it so much, an awesome board game
great game wish it played on IOS

Rewelacyjna gra. Polecam!
Surprisingly simple strategic gameplay, yet very addictive. Glad I took a chance on this.
have the table top game.....this is fun to be able to play when no one is available....
but i would recomened getting the actual card game, and actually playing with people and having friends....
but alas, for those with no friends, the AI does actually play well

its lovely game
this game is wonderful, first found the board game and loved playing it with family, so was thrilled to find an online version
GOOD card game~!
ce jeu est addictif !
fun game very immersive.
An entertaining game, often on sale for 80%. Worth it if you wish to learn the rules of the actual boardgame and the mechanics. It is very dated, yet still functional and quite addictive in short sessions. The DLC is also available, usually at 50% but I am yet to try them.
Seemingly only available vs the AI.
The multiplayer does not play out of the box, nor does it explain that you have to have an account to play, nor where to find it, which is a shame and extremely questionable that it doesnt function out of the box (or tell you how to at least make an account)
Crummy mobile port, but online play does work if you make a separate account. The process is incredibly obtuse and the UI for that is so bad it wouldn't even pass for "Early Access."
Game does function, though, and gives us the ability to play a family favorite remotely.

One of my favorite board/card games to crack out with friends on the weekend. I love being able to play against the computers in single player mode and appreciate the three 'modes' for the NPCs to keep the game a bit fresh. Runs well on steam deck as well!
Splendor is a wonderful resource building game that is quick and fairly strategic. The online version is extremely faithful to the board game with added choice of opponents.
This is a fun game. It's a pretty good implementation of the tabletop game and has decent AI players. I expect to enjoy this as part of my collection for many years to come.
It's pretty basic, but it's still a fun game and nice visuals to go along. Def scratches that itch for wanting to play the tabletop version.
Easy to learn.
No online play.
[strike] Online functionality no longer supported [/strike]
An account is required for online functionality. Not clearly explained and not much better.
Splendor is a great game! This is a decent digital adaptation. Interface needs updating, but I still play it frequently.
This seems to be my go to game for relaxation lately. Everything about it is aesthetically pleasant, and the gameplay is just complex enough to keep my mind focused without stressing me out.

The AI is absolutely horrendous. No easy option for beginners, utterly impossible, even on Balanced. Great game otherwise, but looks like it has been made within a week. 6 pack of Get-Good required.
Good game fairly well set up. Could really do with a full widescreen 3440 x 1440 res
The physical version of this game is leagues better, this game gives your opponents the cards they need to win time and time again, its so frustrating to play because you could be destroying them so badly, and suddenly the game decides, here's a card they have exactly the perfect amount of gems to buy to beat you, its absolutely ludacris, DO NOT BUY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE
One of the best board games. Computer version is easy to use and looks great. AI is not the best so pretty easy to win.
We done iteration of the board game
Registration and login issues. Online mode doesn't work. The developers are incredibly bad; they don't know how to set up the game comfortably. There are constant errors related to the asmodee dot net website, and it constantly says your Steam account is already linked to another game from the developer and that game won't work.
Love this game
Nice adaption of the board game. AIs are good enough to allow you to hone your skill for your next human match.

Very good representation of the actual game. Wish it was easier to see the other players' hands more easily but otherwise, great.
Great game. Love the strategy involved.
Fantastic board game, so it pains me to say you should probably find another way to play it online. Even if you just want to play solo against AI, this app has a game-breaking bug that was never addressed by the developer, who has now abandoned the game (so it will never be fixed).
Exacerbating the abandonware issue is the fact that the Orient expansion was clearly planned but never finished. There is a placeholder button for it when you go to choose expansion rules, but the DLC does not exist.
There are several dozen single-player challenges where you have to meet certain goals using altered rule sets, so if you get really excited by that kind of thing, maybe you won't regret the purchase. The AI isn't super smart, so don't expect to improve your game by playing against it unless you are a complete beginner.
(To explain my weirdly high play time: I'm actually the kind of nerd who likes the challenges, and I don't mind quitting solo games when the major bugs strike.)

⏱️Game Length
I played it for about 5 hours, but you can get so much more out of it with DLCs and the fact it is a digital board game and can be played against a bot repeatedly, game length is up to you.
🔄Replay Value
High; Game length, as mentioned above, is determined by user, what content you have for the game, how much you enjoy this playstyle of game, and is easily revisitable, as is the physical board game.

💙Favorites
💬 Clear Rules: I don't take rules for granted in games, and the board game, while the same premise, can leave a little for interpretation. That is cleared up in this digital version and makes for a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
💬 Great Board Game Port: I'm an avid board game player, but I don't really have people to play board games with, so having digital ports like this with AI that I can compete against to try and beat excites me as it gives more life to things I already love without being disappointed that people don't want to play board games with me.

🛠️Improvements
💭 Add to the Experience: Consider adding more DLC, more updates, and give the game less of an exact board game port and more like a game that happens to be a port of the board game itself. Potentially play with testing things out digitally before launching new expansions physically. There's a lot of room in the digital board game space.

🎯Verdict
I recommend this game if you enjoy bartering in games, shopkeeping, board games, and shorter games you can play on the go. There is a bit of strategy and deduction, but it changes every game based on what the motives of the AI are and other systems in place. I will definitely be off and on playing this game on my Steamdeck.

Adictivo.
I am unable to access online play for some reason despite having an account. Without online play with friends, there's no reason to have the game
Avery good reaction of the card game in digital form. I recommend this one.
Splendor’s digital adaptation by Days of Wonder, published in collaboration with Twin Sails Interactive, takes the elegance of the beloved tabletop experience and translates it seamlessly into a refined, accessible, and visually polished video game. At its essence, Splendor is a game about wealth, influence, and timing, where players take the roles of Renaissance merchants seeking to amass prestige by trading gems, acquiring mines, and developing networks of craftsmanship. The Steam version preserves this charm while enhancing the game’s flow and presentation, making it one of the most enjoyable and faithful board game conversions available in the digital space.
The rules of Splendor are deceptively simple, yet the strategy runs deep. Each turn, players must decide between collecting precious gem tokens, reserving a card to secure a future purchase, or spending their resources to acquire one of the many development cards displayed on the board. Every card purchased adds a permanent gem bonus that discounts future purchases, and some cards grant prestige points—the ultimate measure of success. Once a player reaches fifteen points, the game ends, rewarding efficiency and long-term planning over impulsive play. It’s a game about building momentum, where every move counts and every turn offers a chance to outthink your opponents. The digital version perfectly recreates this flow, removing the setup time and mechanical upkeep of the physical edition, allowing players to dive directly into the strategy.
Visually, the Steam edition of Splendor is crisp and evocative, striking a balance between clarity and elegance. The art from the physical cards is faithfully rendered in high resolution, and the interface is streamlined, keeping all critical information visible at a glance without cluttering the screen. Animations are subtle but satisfying, complementing the tactile pleasure of making decisions. The sound design—complete with soft ambient music and gentle sound effects—adds a layer of calm to the experience, fitting for a game that values thoughtful play over frantic action. This serene presentation underscores the strategic tension that unfolds naturally, making every match feel measured and deliberate.
One of the strongest aspects of the digital version lies in its accessibility. For newcomers, the in-game tutorial explains the mechanics clearly, and the intuitive interface ensures that no prior experience with the board game is required. For veterans, the game’s AI and challenge modes offer structured opportunities to refine tactics and test different strategies. The AI, while not on par with experienced human players, provides enough resistance to encourage learning and adaptation, particularly for those playing solo. Additionally, the “Challenge” mode introduces unique scenarios and restrictions—such as time limits or limited resources—that push players to think creatively, adding depth and longevity to what might otherwise be a straightforward adaptation.
Multiplayer play, both local and online, remains an integral part of Splendor’s identity, and the Steam version preserves that spirit. Pass-and-play hot seat functionality captures the camaraderie of the tabletop experience, while online matchmaking enables global competition. However, online play has occasionally been cited as inconsistent, with occasional connection issues and limited matchmaking options compared to more modern digital board game platforms. Despite this, when it works smoothly, the online mode offers intense, strategic battles that capture the same satisfaction of watching an opponent’s plan unravel just as yours comes together.
In terms of pacing, Splendor’s digital form might actually improve on the physical experience. The computer automates setup, scoring, and turn order, making matches flow faster and more fluidly. A typical game lasts about 20 to 30 minutes, perfect for short sessions or breaks between other activities. This quick pace and minimal downtime make it an ideal entry point for those new to strategy games. The balance between simplicity and depth ensures that Splendor remains engaging even after many sessions; there’s always a new approach to try, a slightly different rhythm to master, or an opponent’s tactic to counter.
Critically, what makes Splendor stand out in digital form is its enduring clarity of design. The gameplay loop is perfectly tuned—every choice feels significant, and every turn builds toward a satisfying crescendo. It lacks the randomness that can frustrate in other strategy titles; luck exists, but it is constrained by the player’s ability to plan and adapt. The digital version faithfully captures this essence, allowing the game’s elegant mechanics to shine without distraction. While it might not offer the dynamic complexity of larger-scale strategy games, its brilliance lies in how much tension and depth it creates from such simple rules.
For those who appreciate tactical games built on efficiency, foresight, and balance, Splendor remains a masterclass in minimalism and design. The Steam version captures this perfectly—easy to learn, difficult to master, and endlessly replayable. Even years after its release, it holds up as one of the best digital board game adaptations, offering both the comfort of familiarity and the thrill of competition. It’s a quiet, polished experience that embodies the art of refinement, inviting players to think, plan, and savor the beauty of a well-executed strategy.
Rating: 7/10
Fun quick game. The real board game is great too!
Want to play splendor on your pc? cool buy this.
Great way to get your game up versus real live human players!
Great adaptation of the game. Challenge mode is pretty challenging.
Very good port of the board game. the A.I. is challenging enough to keep one interested.
Game is good

It’s hard to read
It is good to have 2 DLCs. I am waiting for the rest of them (2)

Frustrating but good to play with 3 other friends. Avoid the DLC....not good.
So...when are they going to release the Orient expansion??? Game and the other expansions are great but the orient to me is the best. It's Splendor on steroids :)
I really enjoy the challenges. It is a great variation for playing single.
Love this game to play with my mother, very true to the boardgame. Addicting, easy to learn, hard to master. Recommend!
P.S.: To play online you have to first click the Settings cogwheel, then connect to the cloud with an asmodee account which you can create online.
Trash. The AI selection is random. No way to select a specific AI and color. Also, you can't reserve a card for later if you already qualify for it, you're forced to buy it only.
Just like the board game.

Consider TTS as an alternative! The GUI is the worst I have played in gaming, including some 90s-era strategy games. Many players will join and receive an error that they are not connected to the internet.
What the game actually means is that you are not logged in; if you create an account through the game system, you can then play online.
The game itself generally works but has some strange user features. For one, turn timers *cannot be turned off by the host* in multiplayer and if you exceed the time, not only will you lose your turn, you will be kicked from the server. This is just bad design.
Online multiplayer works again as of 18 August 2025! Props for supporting this game from 2015.
This is a competent implementation of Splendor, lots of fun if you want a light, really lean engine-builder.
It could be more polished but it does what it is supposed to do. So if you want to play this game against bots a worthy purchase.
Good implementation, plays just like the physical version. AI players are generally good opponents and seem to make sensible choices most of the time

Note: We only review single player, so multiplayer aspect was not in focus.
Splendor is an excellent game to play on a break, because of its quick matches, although this format better works on mobile.
When Splendor (the board game) got released in 2014 it caused waves within the board game community and even today it remains a modern classic. The rules are quick to learn and the gameplay is rather straightforward (buy cards to be more efficient at buying cards) while still having some light strategy (e.g. which cards to buy or reserve and when). The best part is that it can be played in 5-10 minutes per match.
The solo game feels satisfying, although the AI could definitely be better. However, there are plenty of challenges that serve as puzzles and they feel good to solve, especially the more open ended ones.
The UI could be slightly better. For example, there is not a dedicated rematch button, so it always requires extra clicks. I don't review multiplayer aspects, but at the time of playing it was not working for me and this was echoed in other reviews. In my case it could also have been the case because I refused to make an extra account.
All in all, Splendor is a great lightweight game to play whenever you have 10 minutes to spare, but don't expect deep strategy.
The positive
+ Quick to learn & quick to play
+ Puzzle like challenges helped add variety when not playing against AI
The neutral
* The UI could have been improved in some places
The negative
- AI isn't that great.
Conclusion:
Splendor is an approachable digital version of a popular board game. It's very lightweight but still has some strategy. The AI could have been better. Recommended.

i haven,t been able to win yet, but getting closer and having fun trying.
It's a decent port of Splendor if you're just looking to play against some AI, though it should be noted that the developers have disabled multiplayer and that most of the challenges are fairly basic and feel like padding more than they feel like interesting content. Also, one of the achievements is bugged and cannot be unlocked legitimately
Online play works now! All my hours played has been since it was fixed around 2 days ago.
