Ещё в раннем детстве познакомился с игрой, и по сей день не нашёл более приятного и долговечного карточно-фэнтезийного игрового опыта. Гениальный в свой обманчивой простоте геймплей, потряснейшие иллюстрации (посмотрите на предыдущие Spectromancer'ы, какой долгий путь ребята прошли), интереснейшие (даже спустя годы, повторюсь, не надоедающие и способные удивить) взаимодействия между картами и, не могу не отметить, милейший и крутейший сюжет кампейна. Авторам целую руки, игрокам бесконечно рекомендую. Будьте готовы, штука затягивает))

Прошел только кампанию, другие режимы не играл. Старался читать описание каждого персонажа перед сражением, лично мне было в целом интересно. Круто, что по мере прохождения встречаются противники с разными условиями для победы. В целом хорошая прогрессия у игры: постепенно получаешь новые карты для рандома колоды в следующую битву.

Музыка крутая, в треке боя где-то 5 частей, поэтому по сути ты по кругу слушаешь 5 мелких композиций.

Немного раздражало, что иногда попадалась "так себе" колода, из-за чего бой был тяжелее, но как и в жизни колода не всегда попадается крутая, так что главное не сдаваться и пробовать ещё.

Ещё из неприятного, но только на старте - нету поддержки широкого экрана (ну тут ничего не поделаешь, вся рисовка сразу в 4:3 разрешении). Играл на 2к мониторе, поэтому было первое время чутка мыльновато, но как и с залоченым фпс - со временем привыкаешь.

Игру взял, так как словил "флешбек" детства, что играл в эту игру и/или в "Владыки Астрала". Эта мне по визуалу больше нравится, он более яркий, чем во второй. В целом это один из первых баттлеров, что я когда-либо играл. Позже я познакомился с Гвинтом, хотел бы пройти потом Thronebreaker.

Любителям пошаговых карточных баттлеров рекомендую!

They removed the ability to create your own deck which is a part of the gathering of power dlc. Without the ability to make your own deck, the harder campaign battles become luck based as you hope for the cards you want. Can't understand why on Earth you'd want to do this. Apart from that it's the same Spectromancer as before which is an excellent card game without collection. But why they'd remove the most important is beyond me. It makes a 10/10 game into a 4/10.

The game is nice, but it feels very dated. Classes seem diverse and well balanced (for the most part...just don't pick golemancer). The elemental schools of magic tend to decide too much of the game (which isn't bad, but isn't good either). I feel like if the game received a visual polish up and some sfx updates, it could easily pull off 9.5/10 score.
Edit: used to play it 15 years ago on newgrounds. Nostalgia factor alone isn't enough to pull me back and the older visuals repel me personally. If that's not an issue for you, then you'll enjoy the game, but as things stand right now, I'd give it 6/10 score.

Игра Spectromancer это, по сути, арена, на которой два мага, сражаются с помощью магических карт. Жанр не нов, самая известная из подобных это Hearthstone.
Разница между ними для меня в пользу Spectromancer!
Набор карт для сражения дается в начале боя, элемент случайности минимален - выстрой победную стратегию из начальных условий!
Нет дисбаланса в пользу тех кто "платит".
Бои очень динамичные, небольшая ошибка в начале боя неизбежно закончится проигрышем, если вы играете против опытного соперника
Есть кампания, не очень длинная, после ее прохождения основной режим - deathmatch
Всем любителям поиска лучшей стратегии победы рекомендую попробовать!

A fun card game that's challenging for your mind. The rules are original and fun, you can set up various win conditions to strive for and just matches against the AI can be really hard and fun on the hardest difficulty. The campaign has special units for the enemy or yourself giving each battle a bit of an unique feeling, while the different classes give some good replayability.

Was thinking this could scratch the deck-building, infinite-replayability itch, but no. The campaign mode is just a series of random opponents with you using a random selection of the same pool of card. No sense of progression, expect for some very minuscule upgrade to your cards after *some* battles.

And not all battles are winnable. The RNG pain is real, if you happen to get a bad mix of cards, you will absolutely loose the match at certain difficulty levels.

Nostalgia é a palavra para definir esse game. Em meados de 2013-2014 um BR aleatório em algum fórum aleatório indicou esse game, e desde então o guardei na memória.
Encontrei sem querer pesquisando algum game com a inicial S, e esse cara aqui apareceu.
Joguei Freezao desde sempre, só agora que comprei a versão básica do Spectromancer onde vêm com alguns decks, não todos, os mais quebrados estão na versão mais recente.
Pra quem tem dúvida, o deck de Goblins, Time e Mechanical eram as mais quebradas. Mechanical chegou a ser free, mas depois foi substituída pela Spirit.

Em fim, Spectromancer é um dos melhores games de cards que já joguei na vida.

对战赢了，都把对面血打成负数了，然后卡一下连接，对面诈尸起来，场攻没我血多但就是把我秒了，出来统计算我输了。
连接服务器非常不稳定，很多成就又是线上对战相关的，怕是以后这些成就都无法完成了。
进战斗我一系能量4点，它自动给我出了一个5费的怪，我那系能量变成-1点卡死了，除了投降不能有其他任何有效操作了。

La construction du deck en mode campagne est 100% aléatoire à chaque duel.
Il est donc impossible de tester l'efficacité de différentes synergies entre les cartes, ou de contrer le deck adverse.
L'issue du combat est systématiquement une victoire pour le joueur avec le deck le plus "cohérent".
Difficilement compréhensible, pour un jeu qui prétend mettre la stratégie en avant.

Tengo muy buenos recuerdos de este juego cuando lo jugaba hace más de 11 años, y de hecho es de lo mejorcito en juegos de "cartas" que hay. Несмотря на то, что концептуально игра хорошая и интересная, в неё приятно залипнуть - она должна иметь порт на мобильные телефоны. Её суть в том и состоит, чтобы в любом месте можно было достать мобильник и скрасить ожидание парой-тройкой партий.

A gem from a simpler time, back when Steam was still olive green and approaches to copy protection were still less standardized. Spectromancer is a fun and approachable card game but not a great product.

Think of it as something like Magic: the Gathering or Hearthstone but for people who don't want to construct decks or collect random cards. It's easy to learn, fast to play but still just as "mathy" and interesting as long as you don't expect an ever-evolving metagame fueled by new card releases. You can play as different kinds of mages but despite the diversity of them if you go for the DLC (more on that below), most of them play very similarly and their class only changes about 20% of their cards. This is bad if you crave variety but makes the game so much easier to pick up and you'll instantly recognize most of your opponents' cards.

But being a product of its time it comes with some unexpected and annoying drawbacks. The first, you'll realize is that the game you download is shareware until you manually input the serial key. There's also a limit to the number of how many times this key can be activated, which led me to only really play it a decade since I bought it. But the good news is that if you enjoy the base game, the Gathering of Power DLC fixes this as well as other issues the game has. It also includes all the content on the legacy DLC as well as some card rebalancing. That's the main reason why I'm giving this game a positive review: if you consider the base game + DLC as a single purchase it's a great deal. But the inconveniences in the base game are still tolerable if you stick to it.

In the online game you and your adversary can use infinite time to think, so your adversary may stay 10 hours thinking until you give up. In the single player you cannot choose your adversary, it is chosen randomly, but you can give up the fight, so in practice you can choose your opponent, you just need to start a game, then give up, start again and give up, until you find the opponent you want to defeat. This is boring, it would be better if you could choose the opponent straight. In my opinion the online version of the game is 0/10 and the single player is 8/10.

I have had the desire to play a card game, but modern CCGs are extremely predatory money milkers, so I’ve been looking for closed economy games like my favorite card game: Blue Moon, and this came up.

This isn’t really like Blue Moon, but a little more like Magic, but with a laning type setup, and you’re dealt a deck closer to poker.

It’s absolutely awesome. The matches are so quick and strategic, it feels timeless and constantly interesting.

I actually quite love the dorky fantasy art, but do wish the game upscaled the pixel art in a little cleaner way.

Overall an amazing card game. Highly recommend especially after the DRM removal.

This is a card battler, but without deck building or card collection... but with some randomness to the cards in each battle. It's otherwise kinda like an indie version of the single player part of Hex: Shards of Fate or kinda like Etherlords 2.

Pros:
- Very addictive
- Good class selection with creative class cards
- You get to upgrade cards as you win battles in the campaign

Cons:
- Fire/Water/Air/Earth cards are the same pool for everyone. Gets a little boring after a while
- No deck building for the campaign
- Occasionally in the campaign, RNG will hurt you pretty badly or even maybe cause a loss. Usually skill a factor but sometimes it can't overcome RNG
- Sometimes, campaign progress is not saved for no apparent reason

6/10 for what it is and also considering the price

Very cool lane based dueling card game. The twist here is that you don't draw from a deck but you have a randomized set of unit to play.

There are a lot of content for single player which is nice.

If you like MtG and don't like buying cards, this is the game for you. Co-developed by the original MtG force of nature, this game is crazy addictive. Unfortunately your main opponent will be the Archmage, but he is a badass. Learn the cards, learn the first choices, and the more people you recruit to the game, the more variety will be available.

A fun game, though oddly not as good as it was when it was free on Armor Games.
The game play is pretty basic. You have a deck of creatures, mostly, though there are also walls.
There is a six v. six play area, and each side has the players character behind them. The goal is to do damage to that person.
There are also elements, each card requiring a certain amount of a particular element to be drawn.
The conceit is that there are classes, each of which has its own element, and the element specific cards that come with it.
Nothing fancy, but enough variety to make for a fun game.
They designers do seem to be a bit money hungry, for example only offering you a version without copy protection in it if you buy the expensive version, and pushing their DLC pretty hard.
You would think this would motivate them to have a well polished product, but they don't, the text often not fitting well within the area for displaying it, and for me at least, this has caused issues reading everything.
Still the core game play is fun, and it is a decent if someone older feeling game.

This is one of my favorite head to head PC card games. I was so glad to see it on Steam as I have no idea where my access info for the original release is.. Easy pick up for anyone that enjoys TCGs.
