Honestly a pretty good experience. I had a bit of a learning curve since even though I can do touhou on lunatic there was some patters (like the 4th boss) that you have to engage with the soul system (might also be washed up).
Doubt this game would get any more attention from devs but think this game would get more replayability from either some more characters to choose from or some new bosses locked behind the harder difficulties or even the boss rush.

＜昔買ってレビューを書いていなかった作品。通常のレビューより簡素＞
スタンダードな弾幕STGとなっていて、妖怪ものという統一感がアートワークとして表現されている。
キャラデザについては韓国を直接連想するようなテイストではないが、大陸系のテイストはしっかり伝わる塗りだ。
肝心のゲームデザインとしては無難に遊べる一方で道中が退屈だった。
改良版で多少改善されたが、刺激不足は否めず、地味という印象は最初から最後まで変わらなかった。
バランスについてはステージクリア後に残機を1つ増やすか、ボムを1つ増やすか選ぶことができ、クリアラーなら残機、スコアラーならボムといった住み分けができるようになっていて、ここは個性を感じた。
弾幕も東方っぽさを感じるとこはそれなりにあったが、オリジナル弾幕もそこそこあって初見殺し含めてまずまず楽しめた。
熱中するにはあらゆるものが欠けているが、値段を考えれば人によっては「こんなものか」とぎりぎり許せるラインかも？
Gorgeous art, great music, and a fun vibe. I’m not a bullet hell expert, but this is the most intriguing one I’ve played since Vampire Survivors. Beat the first three levels and will finish it later (note: no save option). I picked up the Loyalty Pack that also includes Shikhondo: Yokai Rampage and a soundtrack, no regrets. If you’re unsure, add it to your wishlist and grab it on sale.

우선 본론만 말해보자면 추천할 만 하다.
스릴도 있고, 일러스트의 퀄리티도 높다.
난이도가 어려운 편이 아니라서, 초보자도 쉽게 접할 수 있다.
다만 이 게임으로 탄막겜을 입문한다고 한다면 좀 말릴 것 같다.
충분히 이 세상엔 식혼도를 뛰어넘는 갓작이 많기 때문에.

탄막 러버라면 한 번 쯤 해본 동방프로젝트의 경우, 탄탄한 스토리로 깔끔한 기승전결을 보여준다.
반대로 식혼도의 경우 플레이어블 캐릭터의 복장과 게임의 배경, 필드의 몹들을 통해 '아 이건 퇴마사가 요괴 퇴치하는 게임이구나'라는 점을 제외하면 그 어떤 떡밥도 스토리도 없다.
너무 아쉽다. 스토리만 있었어도 충분히 매니아층이 많았을텐데.
난이도는 노말기준 동방영야초 정도 되는 것 같은데, (식혼도가 훨씬 쉽다.)
문제점은 보스까지 가기 위해 거쳐야 하는 필드몹들이 너무 적을 뿐더러 게임 자체가 빨리빨리 넘어가는 편이라서 막상 보스가 등장해도 긴장감이 느껴지지 않는다.
때문에 한 시간 정도 꾸준히 하면 컨티뉴 안 해도 모든 업적은 물론 엔딩도 볼 수 있다.
즉, 크게 어렵지 않아 탄막뉴비도 쉽게 접할 수 있다.
게임을 해보면 알 수 있듯 보스는 총 다섯 종류로 하나의 보스당 총 두 개의 페이즈를 지닌다.
플레이어가 첫 번째 페이즈를 클리어하고나면 단순 요괴느낌의 미녀였던 보스가 그로테스크하고 혐오스럽게 변하며 내가 지금 잡고 있는 보스가 '요괴'였다는 잔혹한 진실을 깨닫게 해준다. 진심으로 너무 충격적이었다.
국산게임이며 DeerFarm 서클에서 제작했다.
재미는 있었지만, 머릿속에 자꾸만 아쉽다라는 생각이 맴돌게 된다.

まず第一に、完全に移動が止まってしまうゲームを壊すバグがあり、どうやらこれは発売以来、プレイヤーの間で広く問題になっているようです。ビジュアルはゴツゴツしていて好きだし、音楽もなかなか良いけど、ゲームがとにかく簡単すぎる。極限難易度にしないと、やっとチャレンジ感が出てきます。
一撃ゲームオーバーモードは素晴らしいアイデアだけど、当然のようにその移動バグで台無しになっています。
どうやら開発者はゲームの新しい更新版をリリースする予定のようです。もしまだ興味があるなら、それをチェックしてみると良いかもしれません。

A Bullet Hell game with an Asian horror aesthetic. It is short and there are not a ton of different enemies to shoot down, but there are several difficulty levels and two alternate modes to play, so there is enough replay value to be worth playing. Also, the controls are excellent. Bullet Hell games with bad controls are incredibly frustrating to play.
I do wish there was more variety in characters and more story / lore in the game.
They do have a new game coming out soon, Shikhondo: Youkai Rampage, so hopefully it will be just as high quality with a little more variety.
A stylish and approachable Japanese horror shmup! Similar mechanically to Danmaku Unlimited, this game boasts a flexible Graze Hyper system and two-phase bosses with creative and awe-inspiring designs and patterns. Easy achievements to 100%, but if you like these kinds of games the higher difficulty levels will be more than enough to make this a mainstay.
Shikhondo é legal, um jogo bonito e com alguns modos de jogo como jogatina casual com continue infinito, modo hardcore pra um crédito, boss rush, várias dificuldades e afins.
Apesar de ser bem massa pelo visual e design dos inimigos em geral com temática bem puxada pra horror gótico, ele falha miseravelmente na sensação de impacto dos tiros. Sejam seus ou dos aliados. Pelo menos tem a mecânica interessante de coletar almas e multiplicar pontos, substituindo a bomba convencional de jogos do gênero.
Fica facilmente em promoção na casa dos 10 reais, vale a pena, principalmente por ter modos de jogo ok e ter um 100% fácil pra deixar no perfil.

I had little to no difficulties picking this up, the controls were understandable and I could easily notice the resemblance to many Danmaku mechanics as it has both the focus and hyper mechanic.
The Hitbox is visible without the need to focus which is something that I highly appreciate.
Visually, the game looks quite pleasing, though the common enemies are honestly boring, unlike many shmups where each area comes with its own set of enemies, all of which have different gimmicks, though on a sound level, my expectations were not met; my first run was muted and I did try to imagine tracks that were eastern leaning, which was not the case. The OST is shmupfy in a modern fashion, making you feel the danger of traversing through the bullets.
The difficulties are quiet friendly even on the hard mode, making it a nice title for those who want to have a start into the shmups culture, I could even track the bullets on my first try on the hardest difficulty. It serves no story mode as the only plot elements that I could manage to find are literally from the store page and that's it, making this game suitable as an arcade score attack software.
And speaking of score attacking, the scoring system here is classic without any gimmicks.
For 5 stages (with an extra hardcore and boss rush mode) and no secret bosses or multiplayer, not even locally, Shikhondo is an indie shmup that I would not recommend for its given full price, get it on a sale.

Os padrões são bem divertidos.
A solid beginner-friendly bullet hell shooter. Not too difficult, but not quite a cakewalk. Incredibly stylish with great boss designs. Soundtrack is fantastic. I can see this as being a good intro for those looking to get into bullet hell games. If you care about completion, you can unlock all the achievements by the end of your first playthrough.
쉬운듯 한데 원코하긴 어렵다. 내가 슈팅게임 경력0년차이긴한데... 아쉬운점은 파워업이나 업그레이드가 없다. 그냥 c모드로 총알피하며 소울게이지 쌓아서 분사. 이게 이게임의 핵심인덧? 다행히 무한컨티뉴가 되서 도전과제 100%달성은 매우 쉽다.

AC版稼働（ロケテ？）で某放送でいろいろ言って、文句が返ってきたからやってみたけど、
・やっぱり構成がとにかくつまんない
・ボス戦が無駄に長い
・難易度ノーマルでもボムや弾消しを要求されかねない場面が序盤の方で出たりする
・音楽が一定すぎて盛り上がりもへったくれもない
・システム周りがごちゃごちゃしてていらない物が多すぎる
ガワだけとその時コメントしましたが、まぁ予想通りというか予想の少し下でした
イラストだけはもういらないです

보스 모션은 전부 2D라이브로 퉁쳤고
(2d라이브로 자연스러운 정도가 있는데 움직이는 범위와 쉬지 않는 모션을 너무 넣음)
이게 위치가 좌우로 움직이거나 확대라도 되는 순간 정떨어짐
(특히 거미보스는 거미처럼 움직여야 된다는 생각으로 이동은 미끄러지듯이 이동하게끔 잘 만들었는데 다리는 휘적거리는 모션을 해서 안어울림)
마지막으로 어디서 본것같은 가오리탄의 디자인과 난잡한 색깔
(어느 보스든 같은 패턴에서 한가지 색만 쓰지않음
총알 마다 패턴을 구분되게끔 하려한건지는 몰라도 같은 계열의 색을 절대로 진짜 절대로 쓰지않아서 안어울림 좋게 말하면 과일 사탕색같음)

Крутая музыка и артстайл - большой плюс.
Нет поддержки стиков и контроллеров вообще, довольно повторяющееся действие не на боссах, проходится быстро, не так много вариативности, приколы с оптимизацией -
огроменный минус.\
Но за презентацию очень хочется все простить, и, так и быть, прощаю.

게임을 할 때는 분명 재밌었습니다. 그런데 한 번 클리어하고 나니 흥미가 식는 게 느껴져서 곰곰이 생각해보니 아쉬운 점이 이것저것 보입니다. 우선, 그레이즈가 탄막 밀도와는 관계 없이 아무 탄 옆에나 붙어 있으면 일정한 속도로 게이지가 차오르는 시스템을 채택하고 있습니다. 굳이 탄막이 많은 곳에 비집고 들어갈 필요가 없죠. 그런데 그레이즈 판정범위도 상당히 넓은지라 자코 탄막 하나 옆에 슬쩍 붙어있으면 금세 게이지가 꽉 찹니다. 영혼수집 발동시/종료시 2번 전역탄소거를 해주는데 이것만으로 보스의 패턴을 대부분 스킵해버릴 수 있습니다. 보스가 패턴을 전개하려다 소거당하고 다음 패턴으로 넘어가는 일이 다반사입니다. 물론 해당 시스템을 어느 정도 감안해서 공격패턴이 제작된 것으로 보이지만, 그렇다고 해도 영혼수집 충전 속도가 너무 빨라 보스의 패턴을 제대로 맛보기도 전에 보스전이 끝나버리는 경우가 많은 건 다소 아쉬운 부분입니다.
그리고 부차적인 요소이긴 하지만, 플레이어도 그렇고 보스도 그렇고 상당히 사연 많아보이는 디자인을 하고 있는데 스토리 요소가 일절 없습니다. 캐릭터 설정도, 보스 설정도, 대사도, 엔딩도 없어서 게임 제작 과정에서 뭔가가 잘려나간 게 아닌지 의구심을 들게 합니다. 오로지 알 수 있는 건 하이스코어 창에서 볼 수 있는 '강림'과 '우리'라는 이름 뿐... 하다못해 보스 이름이라도 나왔으면 좋겠지만 그마저도 없으니 매력적인 디자인에도 불구하고 게임에 애착을 붙이기 힘듭니다. 물론 배경설정이 게임에 반드시 필요한 요소는 아니지만 게임에 대한 흥미를 돋우기에는 가장 좋은 부분이라고 생각하는 플레이어로서는 그저 안타까울 따름입니다.

Good game. The only problem is the player may feel like the hitbox is not in the middle of model.
Although I am giving this a thumbs down, it may be interesting for some people at a very steep discount. I see it as a very flawed shmup curiosity.
It has the production values of a high school project, that is carried along by its interesting theme and art. Only the art is blurry even at 1080p resolution, and noticeably is bad for some game play related VFX. I have mixed feelings on the choice of music and lacking SFX.
The game play itself is a mixed bag too. At some points it actually does a decent enough job, and at others it feels very unpolished and dull. It doesn't help that on a very powerful PC the game still feels sluggishly animated, in a way that only the Unity engine can provide - although still definitely playable.
Overall I think everyone likes the idea of this, but it fails to deliver the quality you would hope for.

美術還滿好看，而且不會很困難的彈幕遊戲（我大概努力一下就全成就）。
音樂也滿好聽的，我推薦3、4、5、BOSS戰與最終BOSS戰歌曲。
劇情方面似乎單純就沒劇情。
有兩位主角可以選擇。
穿韓服的角色名字是勾魂使者，敵方又都是怪物的情況底下；
可能就是單純打爆他們的劇情吧。
總的來說是便宜而且滿好玩，又不會有挫折的彈幕遊戲。可以玩玩看～
遊戲音樂部份：
總共9首歌。
古風與現代帶有怪奇風格的音樂。
樂風部份感覺已大略涵蓋了多數場景需要的情境。
除了標題與第一關及全破之外的其他音樂都好聽。
OST 金額 102 元我覺得少喝一杯飲料買到6首不錯的歌曲不錯了。
額外的還讓我畫了一張圖非常可貴。

The bullet and enemy patterns repeat a lot and carry over to each stage. The boss theme is the same for every boss which is some repetitive dubstep style music which wears after a while. Its fun the first time you play it but after a couple playthroughs you realize its not really that good.

端的に言うと弾消し縦STG。100円1クレと考えると、セール中なら買いです。やろうと思えば実績コンプして返品も可能です。モラル的にどうかと思いますけどね！
生理的嫌悪感を覚えさせる妖怪たちのデザインがとても良いと思います。BGMもなかなかです。
あと補足ふたつ
1.ストアの表記は日本語サポート外ですが、日本語設定あります。そもそも操作説明くらいしか文章がないのですが。
2.箱コン認識してくれませんでしたが、これはJoy to keyで強引に解決。方向キーとショット・低速・ボムを設定するだけです。あとEscとEnterも設定すれば完璧
雰囲気で楽しめるSTGですね。
ただ、作りこみがあまいので本格派ではないです。

あと、キーコンフィグがないのかな？それで少しやりずらい。

I like the gameplay. Seems to be inspired by Touhou and Shikigami no Shiro with horror theme. I really like the soundtrack that is playing during monster-form bosses. Also, tiddy monsters.
One missing feature is saving replays, so you have to record while playing.
Eu achei Shikhondo divertido, mas é um jogo que não traz novidades ao gênero, indico o game para os fãs de shmup. Os gráficos são bons, duas músicas são boas, a da tela inicial e a da primeira fase, a jogabilidade é de fácil aprendizado para quem já jogou, por exemplo, Shikigami no Shiro/Castle of Shikigami/Mobile Light Force 2, o sistema de pontuação é simples e as poucas conquistas são fáceis de obter. Para quem gosta de terminar sem continue, é um desafio relativamente fácil de cumprir, para quem é jogador mais casual, há continues infinitos, com exceção do modo hard core. Para quem tiver interesse, publiquei uma crítica mais completa no site Indie On Brasil.
Jogo extremamente divertido e bonito. Os gráficos são pinturas feitas a mão e a trilha sonora é foda. Super fácil de platinar. Recomendo.
Me gustan mucho los bullet hells, pero este es uno sin alma. Los patrones realmente están ahí por estar. No hay historia ni nada, y las mecánicas no es que sean confusas, pero directamente no le veo el sentido a usarlas. Realmente me decepcionó mucho.
This game could be regarded as a type of Touhou-like bullet-hell shooter games. But, I could find various features of interesting. It has well worth to repeat playing. :)
By the way, dear developers, would you add options for SLOW button/key (Default : X key) to make it can do make slow moving with shooting. To shoot bullets with slow move, I have to press 2 buttons/keys at once, when I played this game, I used game controller and during pressing 2 buttons in my game play, I have felt pain on two of my fingers that have pressed the buttons. :'(

東洋風の世界観を持つ弾幕シューティングゲームです。
初心者から上級者まで楽しめる難易度に、ゲームシステムもそれほど難しくはなく、気軽に楽しめる2D縦スクロールの弾幕シューティングではないかなと思います。
しかしながら2D・STGとしては少し不満点もあります。「おすすめ」とはしていますが個人的には結構微妙でした。気軽に楽しむ事はできますが長続きはしない。あまり熱中はしないかな？という評価になります。
[h1]【◎】世界観・演出[/h1]
やはり一番最初に目に入るのがこのグラフィックでしょう。
1999年にアーケードゲームとしてケイブが開発した「ぐわんげ」に似たような独特な雰囲気を持っています。ストアページの映像を見て、これは自分好みの世界観だ！と購入している人が多いのではないでしょうか。
実際にプレイしてみても、映像はとても綺麗だと思います。また縦STGという事で、このゲームも画面比率は3:4風となってますが、両サイドの背景(ゲーム外・移動不可部分)がゲームの雰囲気と合っていて素晴らしい。さらにボスが登場した時の演出が、その背景と違和感なくリンクされ一枚の絵となるのが、とても細かい演出だと思いました (この時の映像はワイド画面のように見えます)。
またボスも特徴的で、妖怪風なデザインが好きな人は気に入ると思います。ボスは必ず2段階に変身するのですが、前半戦は少し美しい感じのデザイン。しかし後半戦は本性を現した姿になりグロテスクな感じに豹変するのが、いかにも妖怪というインパクトもあり良かったと思います。この時にBGMも一気に変化し緊張感があるBGMに変わるのが凄くいいです。
[h1]【〇】幅広い難易度[/h1]
とても細かく難易度設定が分けられているので、自分の好みに合った難易度で楽しむ事が出来ると思います。しかしその難易度の説明があまり上手くないので、初プレイでは混乱すると思います。私も一瞬どういう事なのか理解できませんでした。ゲーム開始時に難易度を2つ設定するようになっているので混乱するんですね。
ここに難易度システムを書いておきます。
まず1段階目に選べるのがARCADE・NOVICE・HARD COREです。
・ARCADEはステージクリア時にボムの回復か残機の回復かを
選択する事ができます。
・NOVICEはステージクリア時にボムと残機の
両方を得る事ができます。
・HARD COREは残機が1でコンティニューもできません。
ARCADEが一般的なモードという事になってます。
そして次にゲームの難しさを選びます。
EASY・NORMAL・HARD・EXTREMEの中から選ぶ事ができます。
決定するとゲームが始まります。
このようになってるので混乱するんですね。
説明が不十分なので「NOVICE選んだのにHARD……？どういうことなの？」となるわけです。
他には「COSTOMIZE」と「BOSS RUSH」があります。
・COSTOMIZEはシステムを自由に変更して遊ぶ事ができます
・BOSS RUSHはボスだけを連戦するモードです
[h1]【△】ゲームシステム[/h1]
基本的には簡単なのですが、これも説明が少ないです。
システムは大きく分けて2つ。一応ゲーム開始時にアーケードゲームのように「遊び方」という映像が流れるのですが、それだけではちょっと理解できない。
[b][u]■かすりシステム[/u][/b]
これは簡単です。今や2D・STGではよくあるシステム。敵弾に自機がかするようにすると「ソウルゲージ」が増加するというもの。ソウルゲージがMAXの時にかすっても何も起こりません。
[b][u]■ソウルゲージとボムの関係性[/u][/b]
こちらが少しややこしい。
先の説明で基本のARCADEモードだとステージクリア時にボムの回復か残機の回復を選べると言いましたが、普通なら残機の方が得ではないか？と思いますよね。しかしボムも重要なのです。このゲームはボムの回復手段がゲームクリア時のみです。他のSTGでは自機が1機死んでしまった時にボムも回復するゲームがありますが、このゲームは回復しません。ストックされたボムの数は変化しないのです。そしてこのボムはシステムに大きく影響します。
① ボムは普通にボムボタンを押すと、ストックを1つ消費して全体攻撃をしてくれます。この時の自機は無敵になります。普通のSTGであるボムと同じです(ゲーム開始時に4つ)。
② ソウルゲージMAX状態でボムボタンを押した場合は、魂吸収モードとなります。これは自機がバースト状態になり、攻撃力が上昇するというものです。この時ボムのストックは減りません。
③ 魂吸収モード中にもう一度ボムボタンを押すと第二魂吸収モードとなります。自機がフルバースト状態になり、攻撃力が恐ろしく上昇します。ボスの体力もゴリゴリと削る程の高火力です。[u]しかしこの時ボムのストックが1つ減ります。[/u]
緊急回避にボムを使うというよりは、第二魂吸収モードの発動にボムが必要なのです。戦況を変えるほどの高火力なので、ゲームクリア時に残機を取らずにボムを回復するという選択も重要になります。
[h1]【×】エフェクトとSE[/h1]
個人的にこれが本当に致命的です。
評価を下げている大部分がこれです。2D・STGはステージ構成やシステム、BGMのセンスで面白さがガラリと変わると思いますが、エフェクトとSEも非常に重要な部分です。2D・STGを少しでも遊んだ事がある人ならば、この意味がわかるはず。
まずエフェクトがショボイ。敵を倒した時の爽快感が無いです。またバグのような気もしますが……自機が「かすった」時にエフェクトがでません。ただしショットを押しっぱなしにした低速移動の時は、エフェクトと自機の回りに吸収ゲージが見えます。かすってるのかどうかがわからないので、これが非常に不便です。
そしてSEもショボイ。撃ち込み音が無いです。これも爽快感の減少の1つとなっている。つまりエフェクトも地味で音も無しだと、ゲーム自体がとっても静か。STGとしての気持ちよさが無いのはとても痛い。
綺麗な映像を見てるだけという感じがして、ゲームしてる感覚が薄いんですよね……これが最初に書いた熱中しない。長続きしない原因だと思います。
[h1]【×】道中が面白くない[/h1]
ステージのセンスも重要と書きましたが、そのステージ構成……残念ながらこれもあまり良くはありません。ボスのインパクトが大きいので期待してしまうが、ボスまでのステージ道中は全く面白くない。
とりあえず出しとけという感じに、適当に出てくる敵も気になりますが……ザコ敵の種類が少ないのも残念。攻略の楽しさが無いです。ザコ敵は本当にザコ。適当に弾幕をまいてくるので、こちらも適当に蹴散らすだけです。
[h1]【×】オプション設定が少ない[/h1]
オプションはBGMとSEのオンオフと言語設定のみ。音量調整もできないのはちょっとシンプルすぎるだろう……。スマホからの移植かと思いましたが違いました。(スマホには移植したみたいですが)。
それよりも、せめてキーコンフィグは欲しい。ゲーセンのようにアケコンでプレイしたいという人もいるでしょう。

2D・STGとしては恐ろしく簡単。
よくあるノーコンテニュークリアや、点数が何点以上とかそんなもの一切無いです。1回ゲームをクリアするだけ。難易度もなんでもオッケーでコンティニューしても大丈夫。30分程で誰でもコンプリート可能。

しばらく遊んでみましたが、やっぱりいまいち熱中できない感じです。一度アンインストールしてしまえば、2度とプレイしない気がします。
ただ、グラフィックと世界観は本当にいい。また難易度EASYは本当に簡単なので、弾幕シューティング初心者がプレイするにはいいかもしれない……のだが、それなら他のシューティングをやった方がいいのではとも考えてしまいます。
評価は甘めにおすすめとはしましたが、微妙におすすめしにくい。遊べないわけではない。でもう～ん……となる。そんなゲームです。
I love this game - please make a sequel
TL;DR: Refunded.
Refund requested as neither my DS4 nor Xbox controller worked properly (inverted up-down, buttons stopped being recognised after some play). The game launcher wouldn't even detect my controllers and the keyboard stopped working during my third playthrough. Tried well over an hour to tweak things. I have some experience with setting up controls in Shmups but could not get things to work.
I have little hope this gets fixed, since the Discussion Board of this game is filled with threads about problems with controllers...
Disappointed since the game looked promising. BGM is good; excellent if you're into that kind of music. Gameplay is a bit on the tamer side but the later bosses offer some nice bullet patterns.
Overall, this could be an okay addition to a Shmup Fan's library but nothing to write home about besides the art style. Can't recommend.

I really like the traditional Korean visual style, and it plays well- bullet cancelling mechanics and Cave-like fast/spread and slow/focused type shooting...it all works well. But there is very little variety in both levels and enemies which makes the levels drag a bit, and the bosses take a bit too long to beat. But the design of the bosses is something else- they go from beautiful to monstrously creepy,..they are easily the best part of the game. I didn't care much for the music- lots of cheesy dubstep electronic stuff- I would have liked to hear a take on something more traditionally Korean to match the setting. But overall, I found it interesting and playable enough to enjoy it.
The Good:
- Aesthetics are through the roof. It has style for days
- Music is amazing. Boss themes are very fitting- from the peaceful tones to the dubstep.
- Monster/boss design is good. I like dual phase the monster have- changing from being pretty girls/monster girls to grotesque creatures.
The Bad:
- The game tends to lag and drop inputs. This pretty much the worst thing you can do in a shmup.
- Bullets don't contrast well with the background
- Bullet patterns are generally uninteresting. Though, the third stage spider boss is pretty interesting.
- Feels like it's going for a "hardcore Touhou" aesthetic too much at times.
- LAG EVERYWHERE, even the menu screens. I suppose that's the price of looking this nice.
- Poor special mechanic. In the game, there's a power up mechanic that charges using graze. That's fine. However, getting hit in it kills you anyway, just like normal. It should really just deactivate the special but save your life.
- Delay on bomb activation.
Overall:
It's a game that's worth the $10 I paid for it, overall, but it's riddled with small issues that tarnish the experience. I so badly wish I could give it a "mixed" review, but I can't. As an experience, I could recommend it. As a great shmup, I can't.

Something must've gone really wrong during the development of this game.
I have no idea how so many people ended up giving it positive reviews, but there are many things that are just unexplainably [i]off[/i] about it.
Long story short, this game lacks "juice", a game design term that refers to things such as SFX, movements of stuff on screen, screenshake, things that make you [i]feel[/i] the game, basically.
Now, for a more detailed explanation/enumeration:

[*]Player bullets cause (almost?) no sound effects. If they do have SFX then they're incredibly low and underwhelming (no BGM/SFX volume options on the menu by the way). Do I have to explain why this is terrible, particularly for a game where all you're doing is shooting at stuff? The answer is, because you CAN'T TELL when you're hitting said stuff. Go compare this game to just about any other renowned shmup and you'll see the difference it makes.
[*]Actually, bullets at all don't make sounds, not even the enemies'.
[*]SFX are weak. Now this might be subjective, but the few SFX there [i]are[/i] are just not very satisfying, mainly the sounds of enemies exploding.
[*]Movement of enemies is choppy. They just come in from outside the screen at a speed too high to be elegant, and sometimes they just... stop there, without any deacceleration. It's weird.
[*]In the same vein, the movement of most stuff feels incredibly unrefined/unpolished. Maybe it's the lack of additional effects on top of the movement animations, maybe it's the lack of smoothness/interpolations, maybe it's the speed at which things are animated. I can't tell for sure what it is, but it feels really wrong. Kind of like a cheap mobile game.
[*]Menus are slow. Please I just want to play the game.
[*]No options. BGM on/off. SFX on/off. Seriously?
[*]Bullets are ugly. Mainly the orange kunai-shaped enemy bullets. They have no animation, they look very static, they don't mesh well with the game or the other bullets

Now the absolutely worst thing of all, what for me, takes this game from "bad" to "uncomprehensible", is the art.
Generally, when a game is bad, it is all bad, at least when it's an indie game. But in this game, the art is absolutely gorgeous. But why was it put into this game? Why does it seem like the developer just dropped the PNGs into Unity, made them move around a bit, and called it a day? It just doesn't fit.
That being said, the animation of the big circle rotating in the main menu is nice; that's about it though, one of the few things the art was put to good use for.
I assume either the dev and artist are different people, and the dev comissioned the art for boatloads of money (or the artist was the dev's friend and made it all for free, or they worked as a team, in which case I would say the artist did a hell of a lot more work than the dev), or they are the same person, and while this person was extremely good at art, they just didn't have sufficient experience and/or knowledge about game design and development to properly make the game.
Now for some more personal gripes, which might just be attributed to me being stupid:

[*]The music doesn't fit. It has some weird electronic or something which just doesn't fit AT ALL with the traditional mythological Japanese aesthetic of the game. Yes, you can make rad electronic music for a game like this, considering basically every big name shmup has electronic music and they aren't all just about spaceships, but you have to make it fit the theme. Add Japanese instruments, make the melodies fit patterns of traditional Japanese music, stuff like that. It doesn't really seem to fit the [i]tone[/i] of the game either, which is like, dark evil youkai bad or something.
[*]The tutorial makes no sense. It says something about pressing C, but that happens when I press X in-game, while C doesn't actually do anything. I don't understand.
[*]The game seems to support Korean subtitles but that language isn't listed on this Steam page.
[*]No explanation about the story. Generally, even if there's no in-game dialogue or story, these games have a manual or an archive menu option or something where you can read more about the story and its characters. Here, you have no idea why the game is the way it is or what the characters are doing or anything at all.

Not going to make any particular comments about the gameplay, because it's just sort of bland, as you'd expect.
Basically, if you like well made shmups with sounds and effects that all mesh together perfectly, and [i]fun[/i] gameplay, don't buy this.
If you just like looking at pretty pictures, buy it I guess, though you could also do that from YouTube.
It's a short but fun schmup with excellent presentation and a decent OST.
Controls and mechanics are straightforward and familiar. The option to rebind keys is greatly appreciated
I tried to like this game's mechanics and everything, but couldn't bring myself to do so. The art is spectacular and the music is pretty alright, but the overall gameplay is extremely lacking. Would rather spend my time trying to 1CC Touhou 15 on Lunatic rather than actually seriously play this game.
탄막 슈팅게임에 입문하고 싶은 사람이 플레이하기 좋은 난이도 쯤 되는 것 같다.
그레이즈 판정도 넉넉하고 영혼수집 모드라는 개사기 기능으로 쉽게 플레이할 수 있는 친절한 게임이다.
플레이 내내 잡몹은 대충 잡아버리고 그림실력 구경하게 되는 멋진 배경 이미지와
적당히 그로테스크 한 보스들의 디자인 퀄리티가 꽤 좋은 편이다.
OST의 퀄리티 또한 상당히 좋은 편이지만 가짓수가 적은점이 조금 아쉬운 부분이다.
한가지 주의할 점은
보스전 때 2페이즈로 넘어가면서 조ㅓㄹ라 무섭게 생긴 보스의 본모습과 함께
갑자기 존내 큰 사운드로 끼에에엑 소리가 튀어 나오는데
와 진짜 너무 깜짝 놀라서 바로 같이 끼에엑 소리 따라 냈다.
자신이 나처럼 쫄보라면 게임 OST 좋다고 볼륨 짱 크게 키워놓고 플레이 하지마라 보스전 2페이즈 참피 울음소리에 심장 멎는다.
게임 내에 스토리 같은것도 없고 엔딩씬이나 해금요소 같은거 없이 그냥 5스테이지 깨면 끝나는 게임이니
만원 돈이 조금 아깝다 생각들면 할인가격으로 사서 플레이 해보자. 만원까지는 아니어도 5천원 값어치 정도는 하는 게임이다.
Pur non essendo un brutto gioco, se dovessi dividere i giochi bullet hell su Steam fra buoni e cattivi, Shikhondo lo metterei nella seconda categoria.
Tutti i miei problemi derivano da una sola cosa: Shikhondo è un gioco abbastanza grezzo.
Ha un ottimo stile, un buon gameplay, una OST ok (ci tornerò sulla musica), ma fin dal menu principale ho notato una poca cura ai dettagli, e questa impressione non è cambiata giocando tutti e 5 gli stage per due volte.
Ho giocato il gioco in modalità arcade (standard) prima a difficoltà Normal e poi Hard, provando entrambi i personaggi.
Il bilanciamento fra le difficoltà è a posto, ma essendo solo due personaggi mi sarei aspettato un pochino di variazione in più a livello di gameplay.
Il gioco ha però una curva di difficoltà pessima: le sezioni stage (quindi fuori dai boss) le ho trovate quasi soporifere per quanto sono monotone e semplici, il terzo boss l'ho trovato molto più difficile del quarto, mentre ho DETESTATO il boss finale in quanto la sua difficoltà è meccanica e proviene unicamente dall'illeggibilità dei pattern.
Il mio problema più grande è l'input lag. Non è il primo bullet hell fatto con Unity che gioco e ormai devo dedurre che sia proprio Unity a non permettere un input immediato. In un genere come gli sparatutto a scorrimento in cui la fluidità è TUTTO, per me questo è inaccettabile.
Lo stile del gioco è veramente interessante, che è proprio quello che mi ha spinto a comprare Shikhondo.
L'estetica dell'HUD, i colpi del proprio personaggio che diventano esageratamente grossi e luminosi quando si rilascia la barra della soul e il design dei boss sono tutti punti a favore!
Ho amato quando il primo boss è entrato nella seconda fase e ha inaspettatamente cambiato stile passando da elegante a grottesco, il momento più memorabile del gioco a mio parere.
L'OST.
La musica di questo gioco è buona, e due tracce in particolare mi sono piaciute molto, ma se dovessi giocare il gioco una terza volta muterei l'audio di sottofondo. Perché?
Perché gli sviluppatori hanno avuto la pessima idea di dare alla seconda fase di ogni boss la STESSA canzone dubstep, che a mio parere non ci azzecca niente con lo stile di Shikhondo.
Stesso discorso per la musica del boss finale.
Ci sono tanti piccoli altri difetti fra cui adesso mi vengono in mente:
- piccoli dettagli nell'HUD che coprono leggermente la parte di schermo inferiore (dove il giocatore passa la maggior parte del tempo, geni del male!)
- risoluzioni non consistenti: background e boss sgranati rispetto alla risoluzione altissima dei nemici base o dell'HUD;
- menu inutilmente criptico;
- traduzione inglese TERRIBILE, al punto da non capire a cosa servano determinate modalità e meccaniche di gioco;
- tutti gli achievement sono ottenibili facendo una SINGOLA run in qualsiasi difficoltà;
- la maggior parte dei colpi non sono abbastanza visibili rispetto allo sfondo, la maggior parte delle morti che ho fatto sono state causate da questo problema;
- i pattern dei boss non sono niente di nuovo, e se lo sono: sono bull.s.h.i.t (vedi boss 3 e boss finale)
- meccanica delle bombe anti-game design;
Insomma, contando che su Steam ora ci sono molti giochi bullet hell di altissima qualità e che Shikhondo non chiede nemmeno pochi soldi per essere giocato, vi consiglio di non comprarlo.

옵션에 들어가시면 한국어있는데 굳이 안바꾸셔도 되여 한국어한다고해도 메뉴창에서 좌측하단에 번역된거밖에 안뜨고 인게임에서는 대사 한마디도 없어요
스테이지가 5개밖에 없어서 굉장히 빨리끝납니다 보통난이도로 플탐 30~40분이면 끝납니다 하드모드나 익스트림 모드 하시거나 보스전만 따로있으니까 그거 하시든가 하시면 될거같아요
일단 일러스트랑 국산게임이고 분량이 너무 짧은게 아쉽지만 재미는 있으니까 세일할때 구입하시는걸 추천
탄막게임 처음해보는데 진짜 잼있습니다.
작화나 난이도도 마음에 들었습니다.
근데 이게임이 그런건지 아니면 원래 탄막게임이 그런지 너무 짧은게 단점이네요.
또 스토리 이런거 있었으면 좋았을텐데 그것도 살짝 아쉽습니다.
구왕게와 식신의성에 한국풍비주얼이 합쳐진듯한 탄막게임입니다. 비주얼과 음악이 합쳐져서 만들어내는 분위기가 아주 좋아요.
UI도 스타일리쉬하게 멋지고 일러스트도 예쁩니다.
난이도는 무한컨티뉴도 되어서 초보자도 배려되어있고 매니아를 위한 하드코어도 있고 좋습니다.
다만 플레이어의 탄소리와 피격사운드등이 없거나 거의 안들려서 조금 아쉽습니다.
피하는 재미는 있으나 내가 딜을 넣고있다는 느낌-타격감이 떨어져요.
그리고 비주얼과 분위기가 매력적인만큼 그걸 더 살릴수있는 스토리적 연출이 좀 더 가미되었다면 더 좋았겠는데...
볼륨도 짧지만 인디게임인 만큼 이해할수있는 부분이라고 봅니다.
구왕게,에스프레이드나 식신의성같은 탄막게임을 즐겨보셨다면 이 게임도 마음에 드실겁니다.

I intially had issues with this game crashing upon started, but I resolved this issue on my workstation. Newer versions of Citrix Workspace installed under Windows 10 causes this game to crash upon startup. I uninstalled Citrix Workspace, rebooted, and finally installed Citrix Receiver version 8.12 that is still available. I have to use Citrix on my home computer for work.
Anyway, the game plays flawlessly now and is lots of fun. It does share some similar concepts of other scrolling shooters (such as Graze Counter, for example). This game though has fantastic artwork and music to make this a fantastic scrolling shooter to add to your collection.

브금도 좋았습니다 다만 보스 2페이즈 브금은 전부 똑같은브금으로 돌려막기인게 아쉬웠으며 5면보스까지만 깨고나면 끝이라 플레이타임이 길어도 1시간이 채 안됩니다.
돈에비해서 플레이타임이 짧아 아쉽지만 돈값을 못하는것은 아니라고생각됩니다.
동방프로젝트나 여타 슈팅게임들 좋아하신다면 추천!

If you enjoy danmaku games you'll love Shinkondo. Controls and mechanics are perfect and it has a visually interesting presentation like others but the graphics are my main issue. Many of the sprites and backgrounds are clearly just upscaled without high enough res assets so they can end up looking pixelated. That and the player sprites are too big with the hitbox located in an awkward location that makes dodging a bit more difficult. That being said the difficulty is very easy to graps compared to some other danmakus so this would be a good one to start with.
Other than that though the gameplay is fantastic implementing a graze mechanic. Basically you just graze to build up your Soul power (which temporarily replaces your bomb once full powered). It gives you not only a reward for grazing but also helps balance tight situations when you'll be forced to graze since you'll have you Soul ability if you survive long enough. Danmaku Unlimited also has a graze mechanic but I find it more satisfying here personally. Comparing it to Danmaku Unlimited or the Touhou Project games there are less playable characters and less abilities but there's still plenty of depth.
TLDR
Addictive gameplay, interesting graze mechanic, stylish graphics and music and perfect controls make this a great game for fans and newcomers to the genre. Has a few graphical shortcomings but it doesn't detract from it's greatness.
A fun bullet hell shooter to play if you don't want to just play CAVE shmups. The stages feel a bit like filler since they don't really stand out from each other and they are a lot easier than the boss battles. On the other hand, the boss battles are fun and make this worth playing. The art is also very nice.
Just don't play the second boss battle if anyone is in the same room.

- 보스 패턴도 돌려쓰기 버티기 일체라 약간 심심한편
- 본인 기체의 파워업 요소가 없는것도 좀 심심한편
- 스프라이트가 어중간하게 커서 피격점이 좀 헷갈리는편
전체적으로 괜찮은데, 게임 요소적으로 좀 심심한편이 많은 게임
stage 5의 불꽃을 형상화한듯한 탄막 패턴이 인상적이었음
생각보다 어렵지않고 할만함
예전에 동방 동인으로 비슷하게 본것같아서 해봤어요
정말 재미있고 나같은 똥손도 컨티뉴를 무한으로 써대며 엔딩은 어찌어찌 볼수 있어서 너무 좋다.
내가 도전과제에 목매는 사람이었으면 패드를 이미 몇번은 부셨을 수도 있겠지만
다행이 엔딩만 볼 수 있다면 뭐가 됐던 만족하는 타입이라 매우 즐겁게 게임했습니다~
슈팅 게임으로서 게임성 자체도 뛰어나고 몇몇 분들이 적어놓으셨지만 스테이지 갯수가 쪼금 적어서
'어 벌써 끝인가' 라고 느껴질 정도로 아쉬운... 그게 단점이라면 단점인 게임.
그외에는 그래픽이라던가 한글화라던가 음악이라던가 뭐하나 아쉬운게 없는 정말 재미있는 게임이네요~
Let me start this review by saying, that this is not a bad game and you should consider giving it a go, you can always refund if it does not tickle your fancy.
Please keep in mind, I am not a pro at shmups, but I am good enough to usually get half the game on first run.
That being said, gameplaywise Shikhondo is a generic bullet hell game with graze mechanic that charges a flash bomb.
As many others I was drawn in by the visual design and music. The visual design in particular is really detailed and unique, music is ok, I bought it with soundtrack but unlike other shmups I played nothing was memorable.
So now for the major problems I had:
* The game looks amazing, but as a result it has also some 'loading times'. In other games loading usually is either instant or so short you do not notice. In case of Shikhondo it is really noticeable as it can take between +5 to +10 seconds (tested on lowest and highest graphical settings).
* There is no death bombing - it has become sort of a standard in modern shmups, and it is really noticeable when you try to react to something you cannot dodge, it's a simple thing but would make life a lot easier.
In conclusion: Shikhondo in my personal opinion is just generic, aside from visual design nothing really stands out compared to other titles which are available on steam for similar price. It is worth checking out, but if you have some experience and a library of other shmups you might be disappointed.
재미도 있고 BGM도 좋았고 일러스트도 좋았지만 아쉬웠던점은 캐릭터가 두개밖에 없다는 것
아직 초기 단계라서 그런지는 몰라도 플레이블 캐릭터의 수 그리고 보스의 수 적의 다양성이 좀 떨어지네요 하지만 분명한건 굉장한 수작겜 저같은 슈팅겜 똥눈도 하고싶게 만들다니 ㄷㄷ
美术风格合音乐风格都非常独特的弹幕游戏，这也是我购买这个游戏的原因，从这方面来讲她确实没让我失望。
可以无限续命的设定，让我轻松休闲通关，不用不断AG，这一点也好评，毕竟买来就是为了看各种奇怪的BOSS嘛。
不过如果你是为了玩弹幕游戏而买的，那你估计会失望了。
因为这个游戏流程很短，怪物种类少，弹幕类型也比较少，还没有各种属性成长要素，可以说是非常朴素了。
这时候可以推荐一下隔壁的车万游戏2333

Fellow arcade stick users, please read before considering a purchase.
The visuals and audio is great. The controller support isn't. It's bad, real bad. Attempting to play this on an actual arcade stick is an absolute nightmare. The controller-inputs are reversed and the unity settings for inputs is busted. Any attempts made to rectify the issue results in either up or down missing or the game receiving a million inputs per frame. Since i can't play the game, i simply refunded it. I can't stress this enough, if you are thinking about playing this on an arcade stick, stay away! There are a million other Schmups that has proper controller support and great gameplay. Go play those instead, like Jamestown.
Amazing art-style and interesting mechanics. A tad short, get it during a sale.

A good option if you like Touhou games and bullet hell/danmaku titles.
The main thing about Shikhondo is it's art style, this game is beautiful and the designs are based on the Yokai world.
Soundtrack is pretty nice too, but not spetacular.
It plays just like Touhou, but this game feels a bit easier because you have more chances to use the Bomb and get an extra life at the end of every level. Don't get it wrong though, it feels easier but it's still pretty hard and there's always the harder modes above normal difficulty if you want.
I have to admit that I was expecting this game to be more complete. There are only 2 characters and 5 stages, not too much extra stuff to do, but still it's on par of any Touhou game so I can't really complain much about this.
It would be awesome if developers update this game with a Story Mode and add more characters.
Shikhondo is a fun game and a good alternative if you like Touhou. I recommend getting it when it's on sale.
東洋風弾幕STG、画面一杯の敵弾を必殺技でスコアにするのは爽快で気持ちよく、必殺技も敵弾にグレイズする時に溜まるゲージを使用するのでそこまで回数に困るところはないと思う。これとは別にボムもあるので初心者でも安心。
背景もよく書き込まれており、ボスも美しさと妖怪らしさがありよい、しかし雑魚の種類が少ないのが難点か。
全体的に短めなのでサクッと終わるのもいいと思う。

A pulse-pounding bullet hell game within a beautiful Yōkai-themed atmosphere and an outstanding soundtrack that synergizes well with the levels and bosses. Each of the five bosses has two forms and a unique pattern that fits its characteristics well such as the lady-spider, Jorōgumo, who weaves an effective "web" of bullets through which the player navigates while dealing damage.
The Grim Reaper and Girl are two selectable characters with different modes of fire (as one might expect from a bullet hell game). Additionally, there is a soul system for empowering the player character's bullets alongside a system that encourages staying nearby enemy bullets to fully take advantage of their abilities.
There is a custom mode available that allows for changing the behavior of some of the game systems and plenty of game modes such as boss rush, novice mode, arcade mode, and hardcore mode with several difficulties that amp up the speed and make changes to the bullet patterns.
Unfortunately, Shikhondo is missing some key features one might expect from this sort of game:
1. This version lacks the co-op mode that is present on the Nintendo Switch version.
2. There are no online rankings :(
3. There is no way to easily save a replay after a good run from within the game.
4. The achievements are far too easy and lackluster.
5. The game never crashes or anything but loading between stages just takes too long in a buggy sort of way.
Here's hoping the developers issue an update that adds these basic features and improve responsiveness between stages (during gameplay responsiveness is A-OK) but even if it never happens, I found this little gem of a game entertaining and the artwork amazing. Thanks for releasing it on PC (and Switch).

Shikihondo is a shumup, I found it to be incredible, most of it was because of the amazing graphics, but now that I have played the full version I see that the game is also very amazing, with epic boss battles, great backgrounds and awesome gameplay.
