Recommended with a few caveats.

My partner and I absolutely devoured The Painscreek Killings, so we were really excited to play through this game by the same devs. We played on detective mode, and while there aren't a lot of instructions you figure it out pretty quick. The Missing cases were great, with a nice narrative that, to avoid spoilers, we found very satisfying.

The same can't be said for the final two cases, Bloodbath and Aftermath. I'll put this in spoilers, but I will say outright that the devs might want to think just a little more compassionately about mental illness, addiction, and SA.

[spoiler] Bloodbath had WAY TOO MANY post-it notes and unrelated content, and while I kind of get that as being "realistic", it made things really complicated while obfuscating the logic required to solve the questions, and frustrating when we read the "case report" and that just came out of nowhere and I don't love making the mental ill person the killer. The devs could do better when writing women, as it was a little much to have every female character be dead, sex trafficked, or a murderer. Ditto to the sort of gross "case report" where the woman lied about sexual assault, something I really don't think we need to perpetuate when that narrative could have easily been reworked for the same result. I just think a little more sensitivity about mental illness, addiction, and SA would be beneficial and my pointing out these things is because I really love what the devs are doing, and want more games from them that hopefully don't reinforce this kind of reductive thinking about difficult and weighty issues.

Also, okay, that thing being a sword and not a gun was SNEAKY! :D Infuriating, but fun to see the logic used there even if I think one more hint could have been provided for that one. [/spoiler]

The final scenario was the most illogical, and it seems almost as if it was reworked and a few things were forgotten? The way you had to extrapolate situations/relationships were just too out of left field, and I think it needed a little more time to make it work, but I loved the setting and the idea of that scenario, but it was the weakest in terms of the deduction gameplay.

Finally, a little more work needs to be put into localization, which is something I also noticed with Painscreek. This is a really minor thing, but it can be detrimental in deducing what happened so I figured I'd mention it. There's a LOT of written material and kudos for how immersive it is!

This sounds harsh but I really did love the intricate, clever scenarios and loved solving the cases! Hopefully my feedback is helpful, and I really am excited for whatever else these devs come up with!

This game while hard was so fun to play, if you loved watching anything CSI related shows or games then you'll love this, playing through the missions (which are messed up and possibly real?) was so fun and hard. this game gives you the clues to solve it but your gonna have to do some thinking on your own in order to solve these Mysteries! this game gave me chills.

The concept and graphics are good but the actual evidence isnt enough to make calculated decisions. Ive played several levels and every one ends up a guessing game until the questions are answered correctly. that looses the fun of collecting evidence when it just doesnt seem to work out effectively. in the start tutorial it says you will have to use some 'assumption' skill to piece things together? If the evidence is true then no assumption is needed. Shame because the rest is very well done.

É um jogo maravilhoso, se você tem a paciência para aproveitar o estilo monótono, eu amei The Painscreek Killings, é um jogo excelente, por ser os mesmo criadores quis muito conhecer, o jogo bem dizer é dividido em 5 cenas onde 4 são um treino/avaliação para ser detetive e a ultima cena seria um caso de fato, as cenas de avaliação são bem divertidas, são complicadas na medida certa e se juntar as informações dá para montar a história toda do ocorrido, dá uma baita satisfação, agora a ultima cena, vou confessar, sobrou nada pro betinha..., achei maçante muito nomes, muita informação, não achei ruim kkk só atingi o meu limite, enfim recomendo, invoque o seu Xerox Holmes

Это вообще что? Где экспертизы, где судмедэкспертиза, где допрос свидетелей, где снятие отпечатков? Где тут тру крайм? Знаете, если бы нам хотя бы дали папку со всеми документами по делу со словами "детективы в тупике, нужна ваша помощь", которую мы могли бы тоже изучить и сопоставить, это было бы логично и весь этот унылый геймплей хотя бы имел смысл, и игра имела бы право на свое название.. Но все что мы можем делать здесь - это ходить по локации и читать бесконечные записочки, и на их основании делать выводы.. Ну и бред.
Убийства в Пейнскрик и то лучше были, и стоит в разы дешевле.

9/10. You can't solve the crimes entirely off of physical evidence. You have to review all of the relevant evidence, then sit back and think about how human behavior would play out with the information you have.
The only reason I docked a point is because one of the levels had evidence changed from the demo (to make it feel more fresh for the people who played the demo?) and the new evidence doesn't actually line up with the original design so answering the related exam question correctly feels incorrect.
Fair warning though, two (technically three) of the levels in this game have extremely dark, depressing, and thought provoking scenarios depicted. I had to walk away from the game for a few days before coming back and finishing it.

Für leute die kein Englisch können ein reinfall. Ich bin solala in Englisch und habe gehofft das Gameplay usw auf Deutsch stellen zu können. Habe dann auf die Spracheinstellungen gefunden und mich gefreut juhu man kann es auf deutsch stellen um das spielerlebnis deutlich besser zu machen für mich.

Ich wurde dann aber schnell enttäuscht. Man stellt es auf deutsch jedoch ist jeder fall jede akte und jede Situation eines Falls auf englisch trd deutscher einstellung ^^

It's a really great concept and a well designed game however it really doesn't give you clear clues to the crimes at all and then tells you a story that you are somehow meant to have figured out but with no actual evidence to support it. Inputting the answers is largely guesswork dependant on how you imagine the scene going and if you don't imagine it the same way they did then you're out of luck! Some clues are really clever and well hidden but many don't give you a proper answer at all, i even had the clue tracker on to ensure I wasn't missing any clues so it wasn't that i missed things, just didn't have the right imagination! A shame because i really do think this concept was good, I would love to see them release more levels with better clues and less guesswork and potentially go back and help new players by making the previous levels make more sense.

It respects your intelligence and then dares you to prove it. No hand-holding, no mercy, just cold logic and crime scenes that actually make you think. It’s brilliant when it clicks and mildly infuriating when it doesn’t, but that’s the point. If you like your puzzles sharp and your ego occasionally bruised, it delivers.

Совершенное "деревянная" игра а не детектив. Все настолько просто и банально в итоге... Но не это самое главное. Игру перевели на множество языков, но ответы нужно давать ENGLISH ONLY. Но догадаться об этом ты, не слишком уважаемый разработчиком игрок, должен сам! И в итоге мы имеет достаточно простую детективную игру, в которой все происходит в "одно действие", второго дня/акта у дела нет. Все нужно решить "здесь и сейчас". И более того, подсказок "что ты сделал не так" не будет ни в каком виде.

Очень хотелось поиграть в настоящий детектив, но это не оно.

O jogo se destaca pela imersão e pela sensação de estar realmente investigando, já que quase não oferece dicas ou direcionamento, exigindo atenção aos mínimos detalhes e raciocínio crítico. Resolver um caso corretamente e os cenários são variados e bem construídos, o que mantém o desafio interessante ao longo do tempo.

Por outro lado, essa abordagem mais “crua” pode afastar alguns jogadores. A falta de feedback claro jogo geralmente apenas informa quantas respostas estão corretas, sem explicar os erros e isso pode causar frustração, assim como a dificuldade elevada e certa ambiguidade em algumas conclusões. Além disso, passei com pequenos bugs no mouse nada que interfira na gameplay.

O jogo não aposta em uma narrativa forte ou cinematográfica, o que pode decepcionar quem busca uma história mais guiada. 'Scene Investigators' is a really fun detective game that pulled me in from the start. You search crime scenes carefully, collect clues, and piece everything together yourself - sometimes you only get bits of info, so you have to build your own theories, think about what the people involved might have been feeling, and guess their motives.
Those "aha!" moments feel amazing, especially when some cases reveal sad, tragic backstories - uncovering those truths hits hard but makes solving them even more rewarding.

I played on Detective mode with no hints, solved everything on my own, and felt like a real detective (sometimes I had to guess). It's a bit short (took me 8 hours), but the quality is good - I bought it at 40% off.

It reminded me a lot of 'Unheard' - if you like deduction games and haven't played that, give it a try. I highly recommend both if you enjoy detective puzzles!

I adore this game! Scratched the detective itch I have had for so long to take my time and explore each crime scene bit by bit. It is all so detailed and brilliantly put together, was exhilerating to solve each case and look back to see why each and every clue mattered. I really hope the devs make another one, I bought their other game out of support! Truly wonderful stuff.

This is one of these games where you wish you could give a neutral review. This game has some great ideas and concepts, but the execution can be so lacking it's not even funny.

First things first, what even is this game about? In "Scene Investigator" you have to solve crime cases using evidence left in the crime scene and your big brain. The concept is great, I love it. There are few games like this, and non of the ones I know go to the same lenghts as "Scene Investigator". If the quality of cases was more equal I would love to spend more time in even more cases, as it is fun to explore a crime scene and gather all the clues, as this part is really fun and well made.

The key words here are "if the quality of cases was more equal". For a single title, this game has so many jumps and deaps in quality over 9 levels that it is impressive per se. The problems generaly come down to two things - Dumb quetions and lacking evidence. Let me explain.

Every case in the game has a certain amount of questions you have to answer. They range from normal questions one would expect, like "who was murdered" or "who was being blackmailed", to completely irrelevant nonsense, like "who was sitting in chair #4" or "who ownes the blue sports bag". In terms of dificulty, they range from ridiculusly easy to impossibly hard, depending on what evidence is available. The game says that the order of the questions is to help with figuring everything out which is a lie, as some of them make everything more confusing then they need to be, and they for sure don't help with deductons. If the devs focused more on making sure the questiones were relevant to the case, which to be honest they mostly do, it wouldn't be an issue.

The other thing you have are clues and evidece. This can be anything, many things can give you necesary information, interactable or not, which is very nice. The problem is, that sometimes the game does not give you enough information to answer certain questions, and the game requires some big leaps in logic. [spoiler]the secound best example propably is in case "dissapierence #2" with the question of "how many times did Phillip abuse the girls between 7th and 15th". One case of this is quite obvious, as it is stated that it happened, but the other two are very uncertain. Rose being beaten by Phillip on the 15th is hard to deduce, as we have barely any info to go from, as this is the day the case is happening, but it's possible, though the leap in logic is significant, but the other one with Marley on the 12th is completely impossible to deduce, as there is no evidence that her hospitalisation was caused by beating from Phillip, and little information that we have point to drug overdose, and there are many other, more propable, explenations[/spoiler]. The worst offender here is the last case, which gives you barely any information, and expects you to figure out nearly every important fact, while giving you information on mostly an unimportant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sidequest, as apparently the devs interpret difficulty as forcing you to make ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ assumptions based on less then bare minimum intel. Which is not good game design, even if it is "realistic".

As I said, the cases are not equal in terms of quality, some of them are way better then others. Some are excelent and make you feel like a detective on a crime scene, others just make you want to uninstall the game and ask for a refund. Funnilly enough, the very fist and the very last cases are the worst in the game, while the biggest and most comples is the best one.

Though in any case the bodies are not present, which I found wierd, but IDK

Outside of the cases, the graphic design is top notch. The devs couldn't really settle for less detail, due to the nature of the game, but they really did a great job with graphics

The music however is completely forgetable and uninspired. I had to check the soundtrack on steam to see that it's not the one and the same track, but many different ones. The game could have no music and I would not have noticed outside of the main menu

The level design also suffers from a lack of interactivity. Only certain obejcts can be interacted with, and most of them are just noninteractive. This makes the leveles feal artificial, and set, and also makes you feal less like a detective and more like if you were playing another "find objects in the picture" game

I thought if I wouldn't give a positive review, but then I looked at the price. Around 25 USD is a high price for a game this uneven and at times even frustrating. And demanding another 25 USD for a boring soundtrack and a PDF file is absurd.

If you want to buy this, go ahead, I recommend, but on a big sale. The game has serious problems. It's fun, and I did enjoy it, but it's flaws are too serious to ignore and the devs do need to take into account that this is a game and not real life, and the game should be fun and not make you curse on how much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it is throwing at you sometimes

There are going to be spoilers here just FYI.

I enjoyed detective fiction a lot as a kid, along with one of my sisters. I ended up doing professional accident investigation at one point among other things and my other sister pursued criminal forensics. We enjoyed the Nancy Drew point and click games as kids, and we also enjoyed LA Noire. I have also enjoyed Shadows of Doubt, and other detective/puzzle games. I decided to get this game on sale to play in the company of my spouse.

It is simultaneously a realistic and unrealistic investigative simulator. It's realistic in the sense that a lot of the subtle indicators of a death are there. It is unrealistic in the way that it handles the procedure and process.

One of the common criticisms I have seen is that a lot of the information you are required to present should already be known to an investigator. The tutorial is a great example of this. I have already have an individual in custody, why do I not know their name?

The indie game dev in me also sees the reasoning behind this. As it forces the player to understand the gravity of the entire situation and story.

I believe that this is an excellent proof of concept for a larger game. It is my understanding that this hasn't been touched by the developer in some years.

My personal favorite case in here was blood bath. There were a lot of very subtle clues as to what was going on in the office. The body placement and object placement was extremely telling to the story, and after examining it for a few minutes I was able to somewhat act out the entire sequence of events accurately. The longer part was dissecting the tale of why it happened.

This game does extremely well with using the motive and opportunity to allow you to piece the story together. The dinner party apartment level did well at this.

For as many complaints I have seen about red herrings I didn't struggle at all with this. For the most part all of the red herrings added to the world building or helped build other clues out.

The only case though that seemed to be weak was the graduation party case. I was able to figure out the motive fairly quickly, but the handling of the information was awkward, even with the notebook.

There are a handful of bugs. I had two instances where something I put in should have been accepted, and it was spelled correctly, only to back track the level thinking I missed something when I hadn't. The notepad is also poorly formatted, and after filling up a page the scroll wheel would keep resetting, and it wouldn't follow your text.

I think that this game struggles to understand what it really is at times and can't make up its mind if it is a puzzle game or a investigative simulator. At the end of the day though I would give this game a solid 7/10.

- certaines situations laissent planer tellement d'ambiguité, que le résultat final n'est pas le plus probant... heureusement qu'on peut s'y reprendre et essayer plusieurs hypothèses (voire tâtonner, mais c'est moins intéressant)
- certaines pièces sont inaccessibles, tous les meubles ne peuvent pas être ouverts... ça laisse un sentiment d'inachevé

Qualité:
Laisse place à l'enquête pure du joueur, sans s'arrêter pas à une stupide recherche en pointer-cliquer. Réflexion intense et longue pour reconstituer des évènements, comparer les indices, étudier les contradictions, comprendre la psychologie des personnages pour trouver la solution. Prise de notes obligatoire !

Bref, malgré de nombreux éléments qui pourraient être améliorés, je ne regrette pas mon achat ! Et je crois bien que je vais suivre cet éditeur en particulier (j'ai acheté en Bundle, avec un autre titre qui m'a l'air très cool aussi).

Je recommande aux gens patients, qui aiment les enquêtes et prendre leur temps !

Worth a play when it's on sale.
It feels incomplete, being already over two years old and only a handful of cases.
Some of the wild guesses you have to take because the information is extremely cryptic are a little frustrating and you may end up making a wild guess, submitting your report, seeing how many questions you got correct, and revisiting the case to progress toward a good grade.

I thought I'd be uncovering victims, killers, thieves, kidnappers, etcetera, and you do that most of the time, but sometimes the information you're asked to uncover seems totally irrelevant.

Backstories are intricate, text and subtext are well-written, lots of details to get lost in, it just misses the mark in the submission mechanic.

Achei o jogo relativamente fácil, não porque ele seja simples, mas porque ele é baseado em padrões de comportamento, estado emocional e modus operandi. Quando você entende isso, muita coisa se torna previsível. e como eu lido com isso frequentemente esses padrões eram mais óbvios

O jogo não gira em torno de caçar pistas, e sim de entender pessoas. Crimes seguem padrões, e pessoas também. Isso não muda.
Por isso, em vários momentos, o caso já estava resolvido na minha cabeça antes mesmo de eu começar a investigar a cena.

Meu raciocínio não foi explorar tudo ou coletar cada detalhe disponível, mas analisar

como cada pessoa costuma agir

que tipo de crime cada uma comete

qual nível de risco aceita

e se aquele ato específico realmente combina com o perfil apresentado

Em alguns casos, cheguei a ignorar cerca de 90% das pistas, porque eram irrelevantes para a coerência do crime. Bastava 1 ou 2 informações realmente úteis para confirmar algo que já fazia sentido psicologicamente.

Para mim, a investigação virou mais um processo de coleta e validação de informações, não de descoberta. Eu já sabia o que tinha acontecido só precisava confirmar.

⚠️ AVISO DE SPOILER ⚠️TUTORIAL DO JOGO⚠️
Pequeno spoiler da primeira investigação do jogo, referente à avaliação preliminar e como eu achei os culpados em segundos, e como a mente de um perito funciona

O caso era descobrir quem roubou/estava envolvido no roubo a bolsa de Helen Turner e quem foi o motorista da fuga do roubo ao banco. Havia três suspeitos.

Frank Carter
Acusações e descrição, pequenos furtos, roubos a civis, furtos em lojas, roubo de mercadorias de lojas, golpes e roubo de dinheiro de civis.
Só com essas informações, já dá pra identificar o papel dele. Roubar mercadorias de lojas indica alguém acostumado a lidar com carga, eletrônicos, objetos de maior valor e peso, o que exige transporte. Isso coloca Frank claramente no perfil de motorista do roubo ao banco.

Harris Chad
Descrição, roubo de identidade, assalto à mão armada e foco em bancos.
Esse é o suspeito que pode enganar muita gente. O “foco em bancos” parece óbvio demais, mas é uma pegadinha. Ele é do tipo que gosta de liderar, de adrenalina, de ação direta. Assaltos à mão armada o colocam como alguém perigoso, dominante, com perfil de liderança estratégica.
Roubar uma bolsa é um crime irrelevante pra esse tipo de pessoa, e dirigir seria algo entediante pra ele. Por isso, ele foi descartado.

Young Anthony
Descrição, pequenos furtos, roubo de idosos, invasão de propriedade e roubo de dinheiro de mulheres.
O perfil dele é o mais fácil de analisar. Ele prefere cometer crimes sem ser visto e evita confronto. Invade casas quando não há ninguém, rouba idosos que não podem revidar e mulheres em situações vulneráveis. Isso o coloca como o principal suspeito de ter roubado a bolsa de Helen Turner.

Esse caso mostra muito bem como o jogo funciona. Não é sobre coletar tudo que aparece, mas sobre compreender padrões, ler o comportamento e entender como humanos funcionam. Quando você analisa as pessoas, o crime se explica sozinho.

E, por último, ficou ainda mais claro quem eram os envolvidos no roubo da bolsa, Frank Carter e Young Anthony. Era tão óbvio que o próprio jogo praticamente entregou, já que existia uma conversa direta entre os dois no celular mesmo que não tivesse nomes ficou óbvio. Nesse ponto, a investigação já estava fechada o celular só serviu para confirmar algo que, pelo padrão de comportamento e pelas fichas criminais, já fazia todo o sentido.

O jogo é muito bom. Se você gosta de séries criminais, vale a pena comprar, é divertido. Dito isso, dou 8/10, me divertiu, mas pena que o jogo é curto

Scene Investigators has a cool idea at its core, but the execution doesn’t quite land.

The graphics are solid and do a good job setting the mood, making each crime scene feel tangible and detailed. Visually, it’s easy to get drawn in.

Unfortunately, the experience is held back by a few key issues. The menu controls feel clunky and unintuitive, which breaks immersion more often than it should. More importantly, some of the cases themselves don’t make much sense. Instead of logical deduction, you’re sometimes asked to figure out oddly specific or arbitrary details—like who sat in seat number four or identifying victims without enough meaningful clues—making the process feel frustrating rather than rewarding.

Overall, Scene Investigators isn’t a great experience, but it is a cool concept. With tighter case design and smoother menu controls, it could have been something special. As it stands, it’s interesting in theory, but disappointing in practice.

게임 설명대로 수사관이 되기 위한 과정을 거친다라는 콘셉트가 있어서, 현장의 증거만으로 정답을 내기 어렵고 증거들을 종합해서 사건 내용 추론을 해야 정답을 낼 수 있다.
일부 텍스트 번역 질이 살짝 아쉽긴한데 기초 영어는 다 아니까 원문 읽으면 크게 문제는 되지않음.

I LOVE mystery/puzzle games but unfortunately, this one missed the mark for me.

Overall, the approach of the devs to make each scenario "like a real crime scene" by obfuscating information and providing limited resources just served to make me unnecessarily frustrated by the leaps of logic I would have to take to try to solve each case. I often had to go to guides and would think "how the heck did they expect me to figure that out??" The clues just felt very random and disconnected a lot of the time.

Additionally, the environments are glitchy and restrictive. You can't open many doors/cabinets, so it doesn't really feel like you're exploring. There are typos constantly. The game is like 23 gigabytes which is crazy for what it is. It just doesn't feel like a labor of love, I guess. Maybe the devs were on a time crunch or something, but it really feels like someone told them, "You have to make this game and you have [x] months to make it!"

This is a good and unique game, but I did not like it quite as much as The Painscreek Killings.
This game has a different style, where you don't necessarily get all the info to have a clear picture, but you can use the pieces to detuct what was the course of events.
Although to me it felt that the logic had some occasional holes, and the detuction called for some leaps that I would not have made without hints.
For future games, I hope EQ Studios goes back to the The Painscreek Killings style, where you uncover the story of an interconnected community and location.
But I am not against new and original ideas, and this was certainly both.

奔着该制作组的前作来的，期望很高，故而失望就更大。

没用的线索太多了，比如警局那一案我做了两个小时的笔记，最后发现都没用，和真相关系不大。

线索之间并没有强逻辑性，真相只能靠猜，甚至有些案子脑补的成分要大于逻辑推理的成分，而且程度不低。
我甚至觉得教学关是最有逻辑的。有几关的案后真相看的让人失语。

只能说案件的真相可以是这个现场的一种可能，但做不到反过来也成立，就像电脑坏了，确实有被路过的大象一脚踩坏了这种可能，但是总让人觉得合理却不那么合情。

线索也不那么好找，抽屉里好多东西，只有一根雪茄可以点，只要你没点到这根雪茄，那抽屉就会关上这样的设计也很让人不解。
还有诸如凶手闯入时还有谁在，答案里居然包括凶手本人这样的离谱设定。
总之，不那么推荐游玩，但此类游戏几乎很难找到同类，可要我给一个推荐我又觉得这款游戏背离了推理的初衷。
最终还是选择不推荐。

The game is very much quality over quantity. There is no hand holding at all with the game, as it tosses you into about six different cases, and let's you gather evidence, take notes, and come to a conclusion at the end. It is fun wandering a scene, trying to piece together what happened without some prompt screaming at you that you missed something. You usually need to make your own leaps of logic to come to the conclusion, but the game leaves just enough clues around to not leave you completely blind. No one will blame you if you need to look up a guide to ace the cases, but before you do, give solving the case on your own a real honest try because that is where all the fun is at. Also probably wait til it's on sale because 30$ is a little much, even though it is a solid game overall.

O jogo não é fácil, isso é fato, você realmente tem que pensar como um investigador onde nem sempre todas as pistas estão presentes para solucionar o caso.

Eu entendo a crítica de que alguns cenários é muitas vezes tentar deduzir o que aconteceu e isso pode ser frustrante, mas para os fãs de true crime e detetive, isso aqui é um prato cheio, muito divertido, e no final das contas a diversão não está somente em acertar todas as respostas mas sim, entender as histórias em cada um dos cenários e se desafiar a descobrir tudo com o tempo, uns cenários são mais difíceis que outros.

Recomendo sim, a duração do jogo vai depender bastante da sua capacidade de dedução e exploração, memorização e anotações que você fizer. Uma dica que eu dou é que em alguns casos para responder a uma pergunta de um cenário é preciso ir para o próximo cenário, e o jogo não deixa isso necessariamente explicito.

Se você gostou de painscreek killings mesmo assim não significa que esse jogo é para você, são propostas bem diferentes, no painscreek você tem uma história e um mapa aberto com vários puzzles, e você vai descobrindo a história e os mistérios aos poucos, mas o jogo sempre vai te dar a resposta completa, no scene inverstigator, você não terá a reposta completa nunca, o que é apresentado é a situação que você tem que analisar e deduzir o que aconteceu, igual numa investigação real, entendo que pra algumas pessoas isso pode frustrar. Eu adorei, ambos os jogos são incríveis.

通关~时间长了还是有点晕的，需要时不时缓一下。游戏性方面来说的确不算特别好，包括操作、记录的方式都挺原始的，但是推起来还算有意思的，比较写实风，最喜欢失踪案三个串联的案子，觉得警察那个案子蛮扯的，不是这么明显的精神疾病平时不做评估的吗？就给配枪？
但是有个缺点就是，真写实的话感觉应该是线索溢出，就是有用没用干扰你的现场证据特别多，然后让你自己判断什么有用什么无关什么是干扰项，这个还是克扣了太多线索，需要脑补很多。另外中文翻译的小bug还是有点的。

Eh bien dans ce cas, venez et devenez un investigateur qui tente de démêler tout ce qui a bien pu se passer sur les lieux du crime. Trouvez des indices, analysez les lieux et essayer de faire des profils sur chaque personne qui était présente.

Au moment où j'écris ces lignes, j'ai déjà terminé les enquêtes principales avec mon ami de meilleur à mes côtés mais nous nous sommes pas encore intéressés à la dernière enquête qui se débloque. Je pense qu'il nous faudra quelques tasses de cafés pour pouvoir tenir le coup lorsqu'on se décidera à nous lancer dans cette dernière enquête.

D'ailleurs, si vous en avez la possibilité, je vous invite à faire ce jeu avec un de vos amis, non pas pour que ça soit plus simple mais pour avoir un autre point de vue. Vous verrez qu'avoir plusieurs points de vue différents peut devenir très intéressants sur ce genre de jeu car nous avons chacun notre façon d'interpréter ce que nous voyons.

Je ne sais plus comment j'avais découvert ce jeu (sûrement en fouillant les fins fonds de Steam, comme à mon habitude) mais je suis très heureuse de cette découverte bien que j'aurais voulu écrire une évaluation plus tôt sur ce dernier. Mais, je ne vais pas vous mentir, j'avais parfois besoin d'un petit moment de pause entre les enquêtes pour laisser mon cerveau se reposer ne serait-ce qu'un peu.

개같이 어렵지만 진짜 어느샌가 조사하고, 추론하고, 가정하고 예측하여 노트에 빼곡히 써놓은 것들이 갈피를 잡아
하나의 시나리오가 되는 추리과정이 너무 재밌었음. 맥주나 담배의 바코드 일련번호 끝자리, 같은 교도소 수감 내역같은 사소하지만 가정을 확신하는데 도움이 되는 증거들을 조사하는 과정도 너무나 매력적임.
다만 추론만으로 100% 해결하기에는 증거가 턱없이 모자라 가끔은 상상의 나래를 펼쳐
1.시나리오 가정 -> 2.시나리오에 추론을 얹어 짜맞추기 -> 3.그게 맞으면 그대로, 아니면 빠꾸 식으로 풀어야하는 부분이
몇몇 있었고. 그 부분은 좀 힘들긴 했음. 그리고 제발 노트좀 한번에 여러개 띄우게 해줘

A close call on the recommendation. Get it if you're a fan of the genre and its on sale.
My biggest problems with the game were how the exam questions didnt always go to the heart of what happened and why. Instead, some of them are asking trivia questions that have no bearing to the actual events of the case. For example, in one case you are asked to figure out who gets what percentage of the will, but distribution of the money wasn't a motive and has no bearing on the case. Secondly, you're asked to make some extreme leaps of logic sometimes, filling in some gap that made sense to the developer but actually has a lot of interpretations.
Still worth the time.

[b]Scene Investigators[/b] ist ein rätselreicher [b]Detektiv-Walking-Simulator[/b] von [b]EQ Studios[/b] aus 2023, dem gleichen Entwicklerstudio, das 2017 schon das fesselnde und extrem atmosphärische [b]The Painscreek Killings[/b] entwickelt hatte, welches im gleichen Genre spielt.
Wir spielen in der [b]First-Person-Perspektive[/b] einen Mord-Ermittler, kommen ganz stumpf am Ort des Verbrechens an, müssen Morde aufklären - insgesamt gibt es 4 Hauptmission plus 1 Tutorial.
Wir untersuchen die Tatorte, suchen Spuren, Texte, Notizen, Bilder - schlicht: alles, was uns bei der Lösung des Falls helfen kann.

Die Sprachausgabe gibt es nur in [b]Englisch[/b], alles andere (Menü, UI, Untertitel etc.) sind in [b]Deutsch[/b] vorhanden.

Das Spiel dauert bei einem normalen Durchgang zwischen 5,5 bis 8 Stunden je nach Qualität der kriminalistischen Spürnase und Kombinationsvermögen. Wer es mit allen 5 Achievements vervollständigen möchte, sollte mit 11 bis 15 Stunden rechnen.
Ich hatte keine [b]technische Probleme[/b] in meinen 13 Stunden, alles lief bei mir unter Windows 10 mit einem gut 3 Jahre alten Mittelklasse-Gaminrechner problemlos.

[b][u]Kritik[/u]:[/b]
Auch wenn dieses Spiel im gleichen Genre beheimatet ist wie der Vorgänger [b]The Painscreek Killings[/b], unterscheidet es sich mehr als erwartet im Gameplay von dem packenden Vorgänger!
Hier muss man einfach extrem viel finden, lesen, knobeln und wirklich auf jedes noch so kleine Detail achten! Vielen Leuten, die "Painscreek" gemocht haben, hat dieses neue Spiel scheinbar gar nicht gefallen. Ich persönlich fand es sehr gut gemacht, habe auch nichts dagegen, eine Großstrecke in einem Spiel nur lesen und nachdenken zu müssen. Aber, wenn Leute nicht sicher sind, empfehle ich, sich mal kurz (!!!) einen möglichst spoilerfreien Einblick bei [b]Let's Plays[/b] oder in Streams zu suchen!

[b][u]Fazit[/u]:[/b]
Ich empfehle dieses komplexe [b]Krimi-Abenteuer[/b] allen Fans des detaillierten Lesens, Forschens und Kombinierens ohne Bedenken.
Ich finde den [b]regulären Vollpreis[/b] des Spiels [u]fair und angemessen[/u], wer Zweifel hat, sollte es sich einfach auf die [b]eigene Wunschliste[/b] setzen, um es vielleicht im Sale mal unter 50% Rabatt oder mehr mitnehmen zu können.

Allen, die sich ebenfalls in die Detektiv-Arbeit stürzen, wünsche ich viel Spaß beim Detektiv-Spiel - möge die Macht des Boswells mit Euch sein!

It is really a 5/6 out of 10 at best. At the price point I expected more and better.

While some of the mysteries were good and designed in a way where every clue felt like a part of a tapestry (the break-in was a highlight) some of the "mysteries" feel like you either get them in 10 seconds or not at all due to the massive amount of red herrings. The dinner party and office scenarios feel like they could have contained a far more interesting story than they did.

In total, the game feels short and only moderately satisfying, which is pretty awful at a 23 euro price tag. I would only recommend at a massive sale, and only for bored mystery fans.

Очень неплохое продолжение великолепной детективной игры Painscreek Killings. Вместо грандиозного психологического детектива в духе Агаты Кристи с ограниченным, но весьма большим кругом подозреваемых лиц в целом городке (Painscreek Killings) Вам предлагают серию коротких дел в виде экзамена на следователя, где Вы оказываетесь на месте преступления, собираете улики и в конце концов должны ответить на серию вопросов, которые фактически раскрывают преступление. Предложено всего лишь несколько небольших историй, но, тем не менее, игра весьма сложная, ответы совсем не очевидны, и игра затягивает не меньше, чем Painscreek Killings. Авторы придумали достаточно закрученные сюжеты, чтобы поставить Вас в тупик и удивить неожиданностью развязки.
По итогу я убедился, что детективом мне работать нельзя: я не получил сразу оценку А ни в одном из случаев. Но игра позволяет продолжить поиск, - от Вас требуется всё-таки найти правильные ответы в конце концов. И это достаточно увлекательно.
Немного раздражает ограниченность концепции игры: как и в Painscreek Killings, места преступлений пусты, как после апокалипсиса, и главный герой не отражается в зеркалах (даже его фонарик отражается, а он - нет). Скажем, в игре "Профессия следователь" все решено гораздо более реалистично: Вы можете вызывать свидетелей, отправлять материалы на экспертизу и пр. Многих вопросов из тех, на которые Вы вынуждены отвечать в игре, у настоящего следователя не возникло бы в принципе.
Но у Scene Investigators есть потенциальная возможность развития. Ничто не мешает авторам подключать к игре все новые и новые сюжеты (за дополнительную плату). И в этом случае я порекомендовал бы дать следователю свободу действий (вызов свидетелей, работа с экспертами-криминалистами и пр.). Желаю авторам игры успехов в их творчестве.

I enjoyed the difficulty level and you do get to decide wether you want to receive hints or not - I played 2 cases without hints and I think they weren't too hard and pretty straight forward once you figured everything out. It felt very rewarding to get there for sure and the game tells you everything you need to know.

However I stopped playing because the cases just aren't that interesting... I did 2 whole files but I quit when I started the case in the police office, I just wasn't interested in what happened there.

I'm also not sure what the Devs were thinking to make a case about a girl lying about being sexually assaulted by a class mate... I'm probably going to get ♥♥♥♥ for this because this is steam, where games get negative reviews simply for having a female protag, but I really want Devs to do better than this. It's misogynistic and contributes nothing to the plot. Do you guys not have female coworkers...??

Overall I was very disappointed, especially because The Painscreek Killings was so amazing... but I won't be buying another game by these devs again.

이 게임은 혼자 즐기기보다는 여러 명이 함께 플레이할 때 훨씬 재미있는 게임입니다.
즉, 스트리밍에 최적화된 게임이라고 보시면 됩니다.
출시 당시에 텍스트가 이상해서 유추하지 못했던 것들, 사건의 결말도 보여줘서 할만합니다.

혼자 머리 싸매고 낑낑거리지 말고, 함께 생각해보면서 플레이하시길 바랍니다.
각각의 사건들은 생각보다 어렵지 않습니다.
