[h1][b]A Game Where Saving Jesus Means You Will Do the Opposite of What He Taught[/b][/h1]
[h3][b]Purpose[/b][/h3]
This game is a kind of puzzle game with a "Save Jesus" theme. As such it works in an anti-christian way as in order to "Save Jesus" you will need to kill some people, generally Roman soldiers. The game is also anachronistic as in order to solve some setups, you will be using dynamite to make the balls that kill soldiers bounce around.
[h3][b]How it works[/b][/h3]
You have to send different types of balls to kill Roman soldiers (3 to 5 soldiers on average) and allow you to accumulate stars in different positions in each setup. Ideally, you want three stars while killing all Roman soldiers meaning you get a perfect score. There are 60 setups, but in order to get all Achievements, you only need to get perfect scores in 50 of them. The balls you will be using have different physic characteristics which means you will need to adjust to their ways of bouncing around.
[h3][b]Verdict[/b][/h3]
[b]THE GOOD:[/b] (i) it can be found on the cheap (when for sale at -90% discount), (ii) it doesn't need much resources, only a potato PC, (iii) you can expect around 3 hours of play to solve all setups, and around 10-12 hours of play in order to get a perfect score in each of them, (iv) game controls are ok, and there is a way to select the type of ball you will be playing with, which will help when you are chasing the Achievements, (v) it has Achievements, and Steam Trading Cards.
[b]THE BAD:[/b] (a) this game is not remarquable in its mechanics, less than average really, (b) for what is is, it requires around 700 MBs on your HD, (c) the theme is supposingly making you think you will be saving Jesus by killing people, which is exactly the opposite of what he was teaching. Jesus was exactly teaching that in order to save the world of man, consideration for the others, love, spiritual, emotional and physical healing was what mattered. To make others suffer willingly meant that you would be harming God, as God is present in each and everyone of us. He also said to us: "Whatever you do to the least of these, you do for me". Which means helping, comforting, mending, healing, etc. to other fellow humans is not only something you do to others but also to God. Sorry if I sound preachy, but this aspect of the game where you kill to save Jesus really struck a chord.
[h3][b]TLDR:.[/b][/h3] This game is cheap when for sale, good for Achievements seekers and people looking for Steam Trade Cards. As a game it is less than remarquable compared to others of the same type, and it is morally wrong. Buy only if heavily discounted.

Jesus saved my life, so I'm here to save his (haha I wish). Fun little game, the Puzzles are not really challenging, but not a walk in the park either. Good little game to play, cheap as chips. for $2 it kept me entertained for a good 2-3 hours. A bit too bloody when the ball hit the Roman soldiers to play with kids, might need a "no blood" mode. Good game, I reccomend it.

Платформерные элементы присутствуют в виде прыжков и бега, а экшены - это борьба с крестоносцами на каждом уровне. Но что меня не слишком радовало - это линейность уровней. Мне приходится выполнять одно и то же действие: добираться до Иисуса и бить всех врагов. Хотя, я должен признать, игровой процесс веселый и увлекательный. Однако, игра не так сложная, как можно было ожидать от такой тематики. Игроку предлагается всего лишь 2 вида оружия, который он может использовать против крестоносцев. Всего в игре много мелких деталей и интересных моментов, но она все равно остаётся лёгким хайлайнером с простым сюжетом. Сложность не так высока, как можно было ожидать от такой тематики. Субъективное мнение: понравилась игра. Игра интересная и увлекательная. Мне зашло.

On a sale or near free, SURE. As the game if you get the cards makes this about free or FREE if you get some good cards or foils. In regards to achievements? LOL. They aren't hard to get really, more tedious and this game is NOT that fun to 100%. Basically its a puzzle game...with boulders. That's the WHOLE game. There is a time traveler or something for some reason trying to get'em but like... they never really explain it. There is no real STORYLINE or real point, tbh. You get different "weapons" but they're all basically the same. There is 50 stages to "beat" the game and then the last ten minus a level or two are like pinball but they're not really that fun. Why did I play this game to completion? I will never know. Was it worth it for a $1...uh, hesitantly so. To beat the game? Like two to three hours at most. Maybe longer if you're really terrible at very basic puzzles. Only one or two levels kinda "stumped" me but not really. When you beat the game it simply just ends and that's it. No real "rewarding" or satisfying ending. I can't complain too much though for $1.

Save Jesus is a speed puzzle platformer game, where you must complete 60 levels to defeat an evil scientist named Caesar and the Roman empire. In order to do so, you must kill all the roman soldiers on the map using the ball. For perfectionists, you can try for all 3-star maps; for achievement hunters, you just need 150 stars and spam levels to get all the types of balls achievements; for competitive players, there's a leaderboard for who completes each level the fastest.
As a simple indie game, this game is quite flexible for many different play styles. The graphics aren't anything top notch, and pretty simplistic with little to no effects. But, at least it's smooth and runs stable without any glitches or lag.
Music is pretty cinematic, with the occasional funny Jesus SFX if you let him get hit by the ball. There's no tutorial nor instructions either, but at least it's easy enough to figure out using just the mouse.
Overall, Save Jesus is a nice quick play with variability in what your goal is for gameplay (Achievements, Speed run, etc.).
I launched the game expecting low-tier physics puzzles and ironic enlightenment. But the more I played, the more I saw myself in the crates of TNT, the falling boulders - my hatred for the Caesar and the Imposter grew, I had to save Jesus. And meanwhile, he stood there with me. Calm. Forgiving. Waiting for me to figure out how to protect Him—not because He needed me, but because I needed Him.
My wife, previously atheist and mildly hostile toward my faith, walked in during level 7. She watched as I gently guided a boulder away from the Holy One’s 2D frame. She said, “Why are you crying?” I said, “I think I believe again.”
We finished the game together. We now go to church on Sundays, and game on Saturdays. Our marriage counselor is confused but impressed. Our priest is just happy we stopped asking if level 14 is canonical.

It’s basically a mobile-style physics game where your job is to not kill Jesus by solving bargain-bin puzzles. Think Angry Birds, but with more divine consequences and fewer birds.
Graphics: Flash game energy, circa 2007. Jesus looks like he was copy-pasted from a knockoff Bible coloring book, and the rest of the assets feel like they were whipped together in MS Paint during Sunday school.
Sound: The background music loops like it's trying to hypnotize you into repenting for buying the game. And the sound effects? Let’s just say you’ll be thankful the Lord gave us volume sliders.
Story: There’s supposedly a plot involving time travel, knights, and assassins trying to kill Jesus. Somehow this manages to be both incredibly weird and completely boring. Dan Brown would blush.
Level Design: Some levels feel like they were made by someone who accidentally dragged random objects onto the screen and hit “publish.” Others are either insultingly easy or frustrating for all the wrong reasons — mostly due to clunky physics, not challenge.
Replayability: After about 15 minutes, the only thing you’ll want to replay is the refund process.
Moral Dilemma: Accidentally crushing Jesus with a giant boulder because of janky physics is… not a great look. I’m not even religious and I still felt like I needed to apologize to someone.
Do not be fooled by the authenticity of the review rating, as most of them seem to be from bots when you scroll through them.

As Archbishop of the Orthodox Church of Mother Russia, I don't often find myself with free time.
Fortunately Patriarch Kirill of Moscow has decided to grant me a couple of hours break from the daily sanctification of nuclear warheads. So I had the opportunity to play this explosive videogame.
It perfectly captures the essence of that historical period (I was there), but still manages to convey fundamental Christian values, such as killing the Romans (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥).
Furthermore, the incredible story of the time traveller disguised as Caesar Di Roma doesn't create any plot holes and actually solves the big problems concerning time travel (you just have to dress up as someone from that period, you stupid modern physicists).
The game mechanics are many and fascinating, and the design of the bossfights is brilliant to say the least. The fact that, once you have finished the 50 main missions, you have the possibility to unlock the new mechanic of unlimited explosions (I love bombs) is without a doubt the most intelligent game design ever created.
The 7 types of boulders, each representing a deadly sin, is a very apt Christian metaphor for the game.
Finally, I'd like to leave you with this passage from the Bible, which perfectly captures the spirit and deep meaning of this Christian narrative medium:

J’ai compris le principe :
Faire rouler les rochers sur les Romains.
Ne pas faire rouler les rochers sur Jésus.
J’échoue souvent.
À ce stade, Jésus a dû ressusciter au moins 348 fois.
Les Romains, eux, ne reviennent pas.
Mauvaise journée pour l’Empire Romain.

La physique des rochers, c’est un miracle parfois.
Jésus n’a pas de barre de vie, mais moi si, et elle baisse à chaque échec.
