I've played many of these new desktop idle games, and this one made me pretty disappointed. I expected more to it considering the overwhelmingly positive reviews. Usually with idle games, you leave them idling and check in on them here and there to do things, however with this one, there's not much to do besides upgrading grass and Ropuka. Upgrades are barely noticeable and progression doesn't feel satisfying. It requires very minimal interaction and is very bland and boring. There are much better desktop idle games out there with more depth and content.

Wie es schon im Titel vorkommt ist Ropuka's Idle Island, nicht auf dich als Spieler angewiesen um gewisse Dinge zu erledigen, denn der einsame Frosch macht es alleine.
Ropuka verdient vom Gras schneiden Münzen, die zum verschönern der Insel investiert werden können. Allerdings dauert es sehr lange um Münzen zu bekommen. Natürlich kannst du den Frosch auf deinem Desktop den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht arbeiten lassen. Es empfiehlt sich von Anfang an, in seine Fähigkeiten (wie Schnittmenge, Ausdauer, Erholung) zu investiert, zusätzlich an die Geschwindigkeit denken. Je nachdem wie man ihn verbessert schneidet der Frosch auch OffScreen weiter, sodass man beim vorbeischauen sofort 1-3 Münzen bekommt.
Wenn es 100% sein sollen, dann musst du in dieser Desktop Anwendung schon sehr viel Zeit aufwenden. Ropuka gibt dir ein positives Gefühl (begrüßt, lobt, motiviert, warnt dich) wenn man am PC sitzt und andere Aufgaben bewältigen muss, genau deswegen ist es eine Empfehlung wert.

It's cute and chill. Not interactive. Basically, it's just a frog cutting grass, and all you can purchase are aesthetics, either for the frog or the floating island. I enjoyed having it run in the background while I studied.

前期先把青蛙的属性和割草速度都升到10w+即可，然后再用草买代币，要想快点全成就的话，就只用代币抽奖，千万别直接兑换贴纸，因为成就里有贴纸全升级成就，就因为我兑换了，卡在了全升级这里，只能慢慢挂了，血泪的教训。

Completionists be warned, though: unlocking everything takes a while.

Es literalmente lo más simple qeu puedes esperar, la rana va cortando y cada mejora hace que corte más rápido, ya está, lo único bueno es la amplia colección de elementos personalizables pero ya está, no te da la suficiente dopamina para ser en juego que me pondría de fondo para estudiar, porque entre sesión y sesión no interesa seguir progresando

Perfectly unintrusive, aesthetically delightful, simple yet engaging. I love my little desktop buddy.
The core game progression revolves around using accumulated points (grass clippings) to unlock various decorations. Ropuka is just a chill little guy, he doesn't need much. Just a small space on your desktop to do his job. It's fun to mix and match decorations that you unlock to create different environment vibes for Ropuka.
Adopt this little guy today. You won't regret it. He's a good companion.

546小时全成就，别慌，是挂机挂的，换算成天数就是挂了22天。
草的成长速度不用点太多，其他平均就好，反正我是这样玩的。
btw，再更新点装饰吧，我想除了边缘的藤蔓之外，岛屿的侧边岩壁上再长点青苔什么的，第21页和25页的背景完全可以单独拎出来做一个类别，而且作为背景还有很多可以搭配的，还有很多可以更新的有趣装饰，堆一堆量出个DLC我也是愿意买的

I love Ropuka! I leave him in the corner of my monitor when I'm being productive, so we can both work together. The background noise is really nice when I'm studying and the lil guy is very chill. For feedback: I would love to be able to control the weather, as there's certain background noises I prefer, but can't chose. I also wish the upgrades for Ropuka were a little clearer, as I want his cutting to be as efficient as possible, but not too sure how to achieve that. Overall, great game/companion, and genuinely does help me stay focused.
I like Ropuka cutting grass and sleeping on my second monitor and therefor I do recommend it.
But tbh, for a "game" like this that is more used like a gadget, it's not well optimised. You can run it without steam, but only if you start the .exe before steam starts up. So I put the .exe in my start up files, but because steam was in there, too, it still always ran through steam because steam would actually start sooner than Ropuka's Idle Island. Now I had to put steam out of the start up files and start it manually, so steam wouldn't be showing me "playing" this whenever my PC is turned on. Another inconvenience is the program not remembering its size and position on your screen. The only thing that is saved is which monitor you assigned it to. So you have to resize and drag it each time it starts up. Needles to say steam achievements and playtime don't sync while running it outside of steam. All in all quite inconvenient for a game that does not have to get many things right in order to be enjoyed for what it is.. ^^
I still like it for no apparent reason. I'm weird.
Ropuka's Idle Island é um idle simples e muito gostoso de jogar. A proposta é direta: você evolui sua ilha aos poucos, desbloqueia melhorias e vê os números crescerem sem precisar ficar clicando o tempo todo.
Pra mim, é o melhor idle que já joguei. O jogo é bem cozy e relaxante, tem músicas agradáveis e uma vibe tranquila. É longo e para platinar precisa deixar muitas horas rodando, mas isso não incomoda.
Eu deixo aberto no segundo monitor cortando grama enquanto faço planilhas e relatórios, e quando volto já tem bastante progresso acumulado. É aquele tipo de jogo perfeito para acompanhar sua rotina, sem estresse e sem complicação.
Its cute and looks pretty but this definitely more on the side of idle than game and the incrementation aspect is quite lackluster compared to other idlers. definitely good vibes though!

可爱复古的画风,温馨简约的音乐,搭配得当的ui设计,成套的贴纸和美术设计以及令人舒服的定价都给人非常好的体验感。我着重说一下玩法设计，这个游戏有一个很神奇的设计点就在于它让挂机游戏的存在感变得模糊了。没打开游戏的时候，你知道它不在，但是你又知道，当你打开的一瞬间起，我们的主人公小青蛙洛普卡就一直在你身边。虽然从描述上很匪夷所思，但是这是真的。虽然洛普卡慢热，喜欢睡觉，还只会割草，偶尔互动一下。
但我不讨厌这样。轰轰烈烈的桥段，刻骨铭心的故事,说走就走的行动力,意气风发的少年感...激昂而宏大的让人觉得向往,但在那之后呢？当夜色降临,当孤独感席卷而来，这时候，你会发现，你的桌面居然有一只在睡觉的小青蛙耶！这也太帅了！
我说了，虽然洛普卡慢热，只会割草，喜欢睡觉，但它好像一直都没走，当你累了的时候，当你想要抬头的时候，它就会笨拙的对你挥手,对你说”Have a nice day!“
色不异空，空不异色，色即是空，空即是色，受想行识亦复如是。这是我对”空“之绿洲的理解。或许游戏的设计感就在这里,藏在洛普卡每一次割草，每一次睡觉。所谓见山亦是山，见山还是山。然后呢？我们不知道，但是洛普卡应该知道，毕竟他会说祝你有个美好的一天。
整个风格都很治愈的放置小游戏，bgm和环境音也都很舒服，还有特别可爱勤劳的小青蛙，还会时不时跟你打招呼🥺🥺完美无需多言
Very cute and I wanted to like this but I never actually saw anything happen or found anything to meaningfully interact with. I don't know if it's a bug but overall a waste of money for me, although I remain fond of the idea and hope the best for this game-widget and the developer.
it's what it says on the box, he cuts grass and he snoozes. but what we also get some really nice ambiance, tunes and some inspirational shout outs every now and again. you can also gamba, dress him up and change up his island. cant really ask for more 10/10

Honestly, one of the most likeable idle-desktop pets I have seen to date.
近年、放置ゲームを謳いつつも、自動化は中盤以降で序盤は全く放置できなかったり、クリッカー要素の強いゲームが散見される中で、ロプカのゆったりとした島は[b]正統派な放置ゲーム[/b]であると感じます。
サイズ変更や位置の調整なども簡単にできて、デスクトップマスコットとしても完成されています。
カエルくんは草を刈り、疲れたら休憩して、また草を刈っています。
その刈った草を使って、
・スタミナ
・回復速度
・切断効率
・素早さ
・草の質
・草の成長速度
……を強化していくことができます。
そうしてどんどんと草を刈っていくと、トークンを得ることができます。
このトークンで宝くじ（ガチャ）を引き、カエルくんの帽子や庭の装飾を入手して楽しむといった流れです。
ところで、宝くじから出てくる各種アイテムはシールらしいですよ。入手したアイテムを見られるところも、図鑑というよりもシール帳ですね。優しい感じがして素敵です。
カエル繋がりか、絵本の「がまくんとかえるくん」を思い出してノスタルジックな気持ちになりました。

Have it open on my desktop a lot but you actually don't do much other than upgrade the grass and Ropuka.
You use coins to collect stickers that give you new cosmetics for the island and your character.

A fantastic idle game that acts as a nice desktop buddy!
Ropuka's Idle Island is a very calm and chill idle game, one of the most relaxing out there, Ropuka will give you little gifts from time to time. The gameplay loop is simple upgrade Ropuka's stats and the quality of the grass, cut the grass, and get coins to collect stickers for the album.
Get the album complete? and you get the achievements! its a long game though, will take easily around 400+ hours to 100% (from my experience)

Zostałam zakładnikiem tej ropuchy na ponad 300 godzin. Gra jest śliczna, ozdabianie wysepki i wybieranie ubranek Rupuky jest fantastic, no i muzyczka jest urocza ALE ja chyba jednak nie zostałam stworzona do idle gier. Ropuka's Idle Island mi to udowodniła. Nie mogę jej wyłączyć i zagrać w coś innego, bo Ropuka ścina trawkę. Z trawki są monetki, z monetek są naklejki, naklejki idą do albumu, Steam robi bip-bip jak udaje mi się odblokować achivka odpowiedniej ilości naklejek na odpowiedniej kolekcji naklejek. Nie mam innej potrzeby niż uzbieranie wszystkich achivek i odejście stąd z poczuciem wykonania porządnej nikomu nie potrzebnej roboty. Żegnaj Ropuko i dziękuję za tę życiową lekcję na temat ilderów!!!

I like having a cute little desk friend that cuts grass while I work.
I'm a university student with ADHD and only allow myself to run this while working, for that purpose it is very helpful.
Music, art and animation are all well-done. There's a gacha/loot system that incentivized logging in daily for coins and running it in the background. Dev actually updates the game with new content (mostly cosmetics, bug patches and quality-of-life-stuff).
For the price I paid, I find this more than worth it.

ロプカが刈った草を使ってときどき道具のアップグレードをしたり、装飾や服のガチャを楽しむシンプルな作品です。焦らされることもなく、忙しく作業する必要もありません
ロプカは草刈をして疲れたら椅子で休むだけですが、それだけの動作がとても可愛くて癒やされます。作業のお供にときどき眺めるデスクトップの賑やかしにぴったりでした
※ガチャは必要数以上にダブらないようになっている親切設計です。装飾として特定のアイテムをいますぐ欲しいとき以外は個別交換ではなくガチャで入手したほうがお得になります
The game is great and runs well as long as you use windows. ProtonDB has this at "Gold" for some insane reason. Every review is something like "The transparency layer doesn't work with idle games so you get a full black screen under the game, completely defeating the purpose of playing it at all. A+ 10/10 no issues game runs great."
Don't buy this if you are on linux, please.
This game is really cool and chill. The green-screen isn't just a feature, it makes this into a desktop object rather than a window. It's a world you can size and move. Ropuka cuts grass and then you spend it to get better cutting better grass etc. You can have it running all the time and then just play and upgrade when you want. The green screen catches the attention of even non-gamers.
很可爱的挂机游戏，相比较其他同类型，更偏向挂机，没有什么太多可玩性，就是挂挂然后买买装饰。就是纯挂着好看，操作很少。
