Lo jugue hace un año con el fin de sacar el platino a esta cosa, muy aburrido, no hay jugadores ya, obvio cerraron los servers para este momento ya que en un principio, el juego era divertido.

Pero para concluir, es una basura, no lo jueguen si es que se puede jugar, ni lo intenten.

4/10 solo porque es divertido en mecanicas y estetica.

I absolutely don't care about battle passes or live services being there or not.

The game was free at the time I got it and the pass wasn't even available anymore.

The mecanics were fun, the controls felt like one of the smoothest I ever got to play with, the maps looked good and the colors were bright.

I enjoyed it, so I bought the "The Mythic Edition" for 5 bucks extra.

I played it, sometimes together with real players, but most of the time the mode where you play against bots, and that was enough for me.

So the game itself was fun, but it looks like "Final Strike Games" decited to kill the game completely by shutting it down,
instead of making it a self hosted-, peer-to-peer-, or even singleplayer-game.

It would have been so easy to make that one extra step.

Are you running away from a controversy? ...because I can't imagine what else could have been the problem.
You could have hired help from almost everywhere.

I can remember, there was an option to get more in-game currency so it was probably greed that compromised humans potential again, but what I can't remember is me ever signing up for that kind of crap.

Disclaimer: Game has been delisted without notice, usually not a good sign for any game. This was reviewed with EA Play.

Gameplay was interesting and zero bugs. Most skins were free and there was an actual progression system.

However, this game was $30 at launch (hefty price tag) eventually dropped down to $5 (never went on sale beyond that point), insulting customer who paid at launch. Almost Zero marketing.

And the cardinal sin for a paid/premium game: Heavy monetization. Mythic Edition locks cool skins behind a paywall almost as much as the base game when at $5. Battle Pass making FOMO.

If game was free to play, this game would have a place in the f2p market.

We're in purgatory for this game. Dead playerbase as in 1 digits players. Developers have noticed and decided to only allow co-op arena (gamemode to play with bots, but now it includes all modes, nice to see devs who tried to preserve a game). But game needs to allocate you a server to play with bots since there are not enough players for 1 game.

If you owned the game before store delist or previous EA Play owner that have claimed this game during subscription, just focus on getting your steam achievements and don't waste your time after that.

Es uno de mis juegos favoritos actualmente. Lástima que ya no se actualiza más. Si hubiese sido Free to play desde el principio, no estaría abandonado. Los gráficos son excelentes, el diseño de personajes y la jugabilidad también. Aún lo recomiendo, a pesar de que no hayan jugadores. Por lo menos se puede jugar contra bots y aún así cuentan las misiones diarias y podes desbloquear skins.

The gameplay loop itself was fun enough and the graphics were decent, but for what the game offered, it had no business being a paid game for 30$.

Needless to say, between the cost of entry and the battle pass to boot on top of it, the player-base did not last very long and the game died out.

Verdammt Interessante idee, aber es spielen nur noch sehr sehr wenige spieler dieses spiel.
Ich probierte dieses jahr im juli oder so ein spiel zu suchen und es dauerte locker 10 min.
laut dem Content Creator ResetGet hat es mittlerweile 80 min lang gedauert um 1 spiel zu finden.
Das ist schrecklich für ein spiel.
Dabei wurde das Spiel sehr selten geupdatet.
Und selbst die Developer von dem spiel, Final Strike Games haben mehr oder weniger das spiel aufgegeben und machen jetzt ein neuen PVP Shooter.
Das letzte Update kam am 1.9.2021 also gibt es kaum hoffnungen das dieses projekt jemals Hype bekommt.
Eigentlich schade, das spiel Konzept ist eigentlich Genial in meinen augen.

Sadly, the game is dead (at the time of writing only 2 players on Steam, and cross-play doesn't have like... ANY Console players) and last news posting was May 5, 2021.

I paid $5, so I can't be too sad. But it's clear EA and the devs abandoned this and the community never recovered.

Se proprio devo dirla tutta, io trovo la gestione del marketing di questo gioco, una cosa assolutamente schifosa, c'è gente che ha comprato questo gioco al Day-One a prezzo pieno per 40€, per poi dopo vedere neanche 1 mese crollare il prezzo a 5€ [i](fidatevi, hanno regalato anche un boato di Key attraverso i social ufficiali, per nessun motivo)[/i]
EA ha anche provato a "spingere" il gioco mettendolo gratis per un weekend qui su Steam, molto tempo fa ma si vede che nessuno era tanto interessato... per poi dopo buttarlo a 5€, guarda caso.
Ma tralasciando tutte le controversie del marketing che EA neanche sa vendere il prosciutto, il gioco in se è bello e frenetico, facendolo così originale, è un misto tra un TPS e un Platform-Fighting Game.

Here's to a wonderful game that died due to the decisions of the developers. Rocket Arena is a truly wonderful and entertaining game and I honestly can't recommend this game enough. The only issue is that the health of the game would be so much better if they just made it free to play to solve the blaring issues the game faces, extreme lack of exposure and availability. Considering the in-game transactions it would still be a successful game and honestly this could straight up rejuvenate the game in my opinion. Learning from past experiences, the times this got rather popular was around when it came to EA Play/PS plus. I really wonder how much different it would be if they listened to the community's feedback and honest suggestions to make this free to play. Unfortunately I can not advise buying that game right now as the only thing you'll get out of it is the ability to fight some relatively good bots in the a.i mode.

Cheers Rocket Arena, to a once playable game that is still amazing. Maybe one day you'll live again but instead being free to play, one can hope.

Rocket Arena явно создавалась чтобы стать очередным «уникальным» супергеройским шутером: разнообразные герои каждый со своими способностями, гранатомёты в качестве вооружения, фишки вроде рокетджампа и выталкивания игроков с локации, и тому подобное. И не просто создавалась, а разработчики явно так были уверены в своём успехе, что распространять её решили за 30$. Но, как и со многими подобными ЧСВ-копирками, на деле получилась из игры лишь безликая хаотичная стрелялка в стилистике дешёвых детских мультиков, в которой ни одна заявленная фишка не работает так, как предполагалось, и которая очень быстро стала никому не интересна, включая даже своих разработчиков.

Режимов тут не очень много, а из-за низкого онлайна в принципе реально попасть можно только на один — обычный командный 3х3, и то, скорее всего, с 4 ботами. Но, по крайней мере, боты имеют довольно неплохой ИИ. Тем не менее, интересного увидеть тут ничего не получится: из-за коротких полуплоских карт и долгого ТТК все просто кучкуются на одном месте, спамя друг друга всем чем можно, и из-за чего все скилловые фишки вроде уклонений, рокетджампов, выкидываний с локации и прочего практически не находят себе применения. И из-за этого же толком не работают как нужно и другие режимы, например, захват флага: кто первым добежит до мяча а-ля флага, тот его скорее всего и забьёт, ибо пробежать пару метров даже под плотным огнём благодаря жирной полоске здоровья не составляет большой сложности.

Так что в сухом остатке от игры остаётся простой бессмысленный шутер с типа ракетными установками вместо оружия. Но только и от ракет тут одно название и визуальные эффекты: хоть снаряды и являются прожектайлами, все пушки геймплейно всё равно ощущаются просто как обычное оружие, ибо из-за коротких дистанций разница в баллистике и задержка в подлёте к цели заметны становятся только на тяжелых пушках с навесной траекторией полёта. Да и способности местных «героев» интереса дают не сильно больше: они все абсолютно банальны и концептуально очень часто повторяются между собой — основной набор возможностей которые они дают, за редкими исключениями, это усилить оружие, быстро переместиться и оттолкнуть противников, всё.

Ну а герои эти, как и собственно весь дизайн игры — типичный безликий пресный детский мультик. Никаких ни уникальных интересных локаций, ни харизмы у персонажей или хотя бы нормального лора, ни интересной кастомизации, ничего в игре нет. Но интересно что персонажи тут не умирают, а просто типа выходят из игры перелетая в другую точку. Зачем нужна была такая 3+ цензура в шутере совершенно непонятно.

Ну в общем игра уже и не обновляется больше года, и играет на ПК в неё по два человека. Кое как её ещё спасает наличие кроссплея, нахождение в подписке EA Play и раздача на Playstation. Без этого вообще ни одной живой души там поймать было бы невозможно. Так что само собой ни покупать, ни даже скачивать её не стоит.

The idea is fun but the lack of players isn't. The fact they still ask money for this instead of making it free to play should tell you enough when it comes to their intentions; especially since it already has cosmetic microtransactions anyway.
