The brothers battle through such locales as a meat packing plant and a trailer park, and battle evil clones of their neighbors. There are also male and female alien enemies. The bosses are the Assface and the leader of the alien invasion, the Queen Vixen.

Descubrí este juego, en una revista que traía un CD de demos. La verdad comprendo que a mucha gente le parezca una basura, pero a mi me parece un juego decente...el simplemente hecho de poder ver distintas locaciones existentes de Estados Unidos todas transformadas en el humor que el juego contiene me parece buenísimo. También cabe aclarar que cuando yo conocí el juego (tenia 9-10 años) y lo jugaba en un monitor en blanco y negro, era como un juego de terror...por lo que hizo que me gustara aun mas.
Si lo van a comprar, les recomiendo que usen Raze u otro programa de launcher, en las guías de modding hay varias.

I discovered this game in a magazine that came with a demo CD. I understand that many people think it's garbage, but I think it's a decent game... just being able to see different existing locations in the United States, all transformed into the game's humor, is great. Also worth clarifying that when I first discovered the game (age 9-10) with my black and white monitor, it was like a horror game...which made me like it even more.
If you're going to buy it, I recommend using Raze or another launcher program; there are several in the modding guides.

Had this game forever. Game was working just fine. Now the game flickers/stutters. Steam acknowledges the issue but offers no clear/comprehendable solution. I just want to upload the game and play. Steam should take care of the rest. May as well go with GOG. Very disappointed in Steam. Steam, please cure or risk losing business. If I go with GOG for RR, I'm going with GOG for all games.

После дюк нюкема и "крови"(blood,имею ввиду),мой выбор пал на реднеков.Много где пишут,что "ярость деревенщины" очень сильно похожа на дюк нюкема,хотя вовсе не так,единственное,в чем они похожи,это в движке(ну и что,что и там и там надирают жопы инопришеленцам,надирают по разному)
Изначальное управление не особо удобное,но настроить на привычное wasd вполне легко.Очень хорошо передана та самая атмосфера деревни,провинции,тут именно американская конечно,а я имею ввиду в целом атмосфера любой глубинки.Кантри как звуковое сопровождение на протяжении всей игры(поначалу наслушаться не мог,но ближе к концу уже в кишках сидело,а вырубить никак нельзя,хотя,две песни в душу запали).Гг и его браток прикольные.Ключи тяжеловато искать,поэтому приходится хоть целиком смотреть прохождения каждого уровня.Оружие средненькое,запомнился только арбалет с динамитом.Все враги убивают считай с одного выстрела,ну ладно если боссы и та большая инопришеленская тварь,но то что бабы инопришеленки убивают с одного выстрела это ♥♥♥♥♥♥.Ладно ещё весь большой урон компенсируется свиными кольцами,виски и коровьими лепехами почти в любом уголке,причем пополняют здоровье неплохо,в отличии от того же blood,где сердца с аптечками просто так на дороге не валяются.Из за высокого урона врагов вообще думал,что будет хардкор какой то,а потом как то вливаешься...только вот два последних уровня это что то с чем то,предпоследний еле еле прошел,а на последний вообще забил,ну нереально пройти.[spoiler]Тот самый лифичикомет так и не увидел [/spoiler]

While the game does not play as well as it looks, I believe it deserves a proper remake.
One of those games that is remembered and fuelled purely by nostalgia. It's actually complete trash and somehow became a cult classic.

Игра норм, подростком гонял, хотел вспомнить. Но те, кто её портировал в стим - мудаки. Управление ужасное и не настраивается. Такая же история и с shadow warrior

Эта игра... Это нечто сделанное из блевотных и поносных серо-зелено-коричневых цветов. Уровни какие то переплетённые кишки. Ключи не понятно от каких дверей, да и размером эти ключи с комариный х у й. И тоже серого цвета. Кстати, помимо этих ключей есть кнопки, которые открывают двери. И очень часто эти кнопки спрятаны так глубоко в жо пе, что можно их искать до Второго пришествия. Это я про уровень в канализации например. А есть уровень, где пульты с 5-ю рычагами и каждый рычаг имеет 4ре положения. Думаете, есть подсказки, как их выставлять? Неа. Ну и в довершение софтлоки. Я словил такой на уровне, где дебильноватый придурок, которого надо ху я рить монтировкой, стоит на крыше. Я собрал все три ключа, но последняя дверь при применении ключика сказала "Заблокировано". "Ну, приплыли", подумал я. Ещё два часа полазил, плюнул, полез на Ютуб. Посмотрел и понял, что на том уровне я торчал бы до скончания времён Пришлось вводить код прохождения сквозь стены. После финального уровня на Летающей тарелке запустил "Дорогу 66". Те же яйца, подумал я и дропнул. Если когда "Nightdive Studios" сделают ремастер может и вернусь. Но эти кнопки... Буду вспоминать с содроганием. Вот же всратое решение(((((((

This classic redneck styled game comes with it's own Redneck-themed-soundtrack. Not sure if it's included with the steam version. AS, I purchased this as nearly on of my first games when i got my very fist PC.

Es uno de los juegos de mi infancia. Un clasico muy poco conocido. Bastante desafiante y con niveles muy curiosos y buenos. Super aterrador, en cualquier momento te puede pegar un susto muy grande. Lo mejor de todo son los ovnis y los moustruos, extraterrestres que aparecen.

I wanted to check out the sound track, but there doesn't seem to be a way to turn down the music without adjusting the master volume. I expected the controls to be old-school, but the game was not engaging enough to justify trying to get used to these controls. I wanted to like this game, but I'm just out 10 bucks.
Played this game a little bit when it came out in 1997. Yes, it had crude graphics (even for the time), but it compensated by laugh out loud hillbilly humor, farting, belching, getting drunk, eating pork rinds, finding secret rooms, as much as unleashing carnage! Всі знають про легендарну трійцю ігор на build engine: Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior та Blood. Але для мене цей список не повний без Redneck Rampage. Duke Nukem пародія на крутих героїв бойовиків 90х, Shadow Warrior на азійську клішовану культуру з сюрикенами, катанами та узі (куди ж без них). Blood явно надихається популярними фільмами жахів. Ну і redneck rampage це пародія на реднеків та їх теорії заговорів про інопланетян, секретні бази уряду і т.п.
Гра всрата, але вона і має такою бути. Спочатку незвично використовувати зброю, але потім звикаєш до цього всратого пістолета та дробовика. Головне памʼятати – обріз в цій грі це melee зброя. А далі тобі дають дійсно круті пушки, такі як цицьки прибульців...прибульчень? метальник дисків від болгарки і багато іншої зрої, яка вбиває приубльців на раз-два.
Також ця гра має неймовірну атмосфету американських ї-беней, преріїв, ферм, ранчо, каньйонів і засраних халуп.
Головне не грати у версію зі стіма. Просто купуєту в стімі, а далі качаєте source port який називається Raze і вже граєте через цей Raze.
Its low brow fun. The old graphics may cause some nausea though. But I guess thats kind of just immersive effect as you do get drunk in the game too.

Redneck Rampage for all the issues it has for a build game it still KICKS ASS. You like shooting? You like Rednecking? Are you a Redneck? it doesn't matter anyways, this game along with the expansion pack is ass kickin. it does have the music from Mojo Nixon and The Toadliquors, sometimes its turned off in the settings but you can turn it back on. The game with the expansion pack doesn't have the cuss pack which is a shame. Beautiful maps, just turn up the brightness and change up the controls and you'll be fine. 11 outta 10. Hey Mojo tell the big guy up there hi and we'll miss you down here, By and By Lord By and By, There's a Better Home Awaiting In the Sky Lord, In the Sky. If you are a fan of Mojo Nixon because of the super mario bros movie, you know the one..... Go ♥♥♥♥ yourself.

First off, play the original Build Engine Holy Trinity if you want to really get into Build Engine games. This is nothing compared to those classics. That said, I do think there is something to like here, it's just much rougher around the edges. Humor is going to be subjective, but no matter what you like, you probably are going to find it hit or miss here. It's a big focus as well as they aren't pulling from the action movies that inspired the Holy Trinity, so the quips aren't going to be referential in the same way. I still found the core movement very satisfying and the game is fun to play. The highlight of most classic FPS games is normally the weapons, that is not the case here. The core weapons of the pistol and shotgun are probably the most trash examples of those weapons that have ever been made. It makes the initial levels very miserable till you start getting the higher end weapons. Once you do though, I found quite a bit of fun with cycling through them. The hunting rifle is a really solid work horse of an assault rifle and the crossbow is a pretty nice addition as well, with a huge plus being the alien arm.. On the flip side, I never got the Saw Launcher to work like it should so it was more something I just used up the ammo for when I could and left it alone. The final thing to really say about it is the levels, I think they have fun idea and fun layouts, but they are held back massively by the fact the keys are near impossible to find. It's honestly astounding how much of a miss that is. You are likely going to miss most keys and have to go hunting back to find them, it can be miserable.
Just wanted to come back and update my review after finishing Route 66 as it came bundled here. Of these games, I think this ended up being the best of the Redneck Trilogy. The levels are actually not impossible to figure out where you are going and the keys are finally visible. The levels themselves are all uniquely designed and have that Build Engine charm of realistic locations abstracted through what games could do in the 90s. If you don't want to fully embrace the suck, this is probably where I would begin and end.
One of the worst games I ever played.
Worst weapons ever in a FPS. You get almost no weapons other than a weak and slow pistol, a shotgun with so little range it makes Doom 3's shotgun feel like a sniper rifle and dynamite that blows up before you have time to throw it.
Extremely bad level design. Keys are way too hard to find, they're almost invisible, they all look the same, no way of knowing which key opens which door.
Same two enemies copy pasted everywhere, ♥♥♥♥ monkeys with an irritating voice, overly tanky enemies (like dogs that take 4 shotgun shots to kill), final boss is just a recolor of a generic enemy.
(Don't trust my hours, I played in a source port so Steam didn't count hours)

Redneck rampage takes place in a fictional town called hickston the locals have being kidnapped by aliens and clones have being made of them whom roam the levels.You plays as Leonard and you must find his brother Bubba at the end of each level which you need to hit him with you;re crowbar to end the level which the games does not give you any indication to do so upon you're first playthrough you will reach and and not know how to end the level.The game is made with the build engine which brought gems like duke 3d,shadow warrior and blood this is the forth game of the big four the others made in build engine in the 90's were plain garbage stuff like extreme paint brawl and tech war that being said this game has some great things going for it the weapons level designs and the humour is great Leonard has some great lines his voice actor did a great job.As for the cons You need three keys per level all of which are named skeleton key and all of them look the same which does not help matters so you will find doors try the key you just found only to discover its not the right one so lots of back tracking through areas to find the doors which the keys are for in the first level an area which is not well thought out is the grain silo it had a target painted on it but no indicator to inform you blow it up with dynamite to progress this is where a simple crack would have being better that said apart for the sewer level which is by far the worst level in the game i enjoyed my playthrough also this comes with the expantion pack included.So to conclued this game is worth well buying the guns are fun voice acting is great and the soundtrack is from a artist called mojo nixon his music is a blend of punk and country if you love 90 fps games go get this.

По умолчанию игра стартует на DOSBOX - любителем оного я не являюсь, посему решил посмотреть иной порт. Вывод таков:
1) Erampage (на нём прошёл первую часть)
2) Rednukem (Rides again)
3) BuildGDX (Suckin' grits on route 66)
Считаю, что лучшим себя показал третий вариант. Рекомендую опробовать именно его, если вы аналогично не являетесь ценителем DOSBOX.

The soundtrack is hilarious
Redneck Rampage should be put in the Library of Congress as the definitive case study in how not to make a game or franchise. As far as the OG release is concerned, we'll get to source ports in a minute.
The weapons vary in ass suckage from moderate to total, with no clear idea what the range on any of these weapons is sometimes like the shotgun being a sniper for enemies but YOU have to be right in the enemy's taint to register a hit at times. Perhaps the biggest waste of space is the crowbar because this ♥♥♥♥ ring swings it backwards. No weapon in the game is free of anal leakage, but you'll find some are drips and others are diarrhea tsunamis. It's a real mixed toilet bowl.
The music is good and fits the motif but will make your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ears bleed if you don't turn it down, and good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck figuring out how to do that in the game's menu for it that ♥♥♥♥ sucks donkey ass.
The level design is, without a doubt, the worst I've ever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ seen in a game. Let me paint a picture for you using the first level. You start, you're looking forward toward a circular road with a truck that's an insta-kill if it hits you. OK sounds good right. Guess what you have to do. Turn around ♥♥♥♥ knuckle they had you starting the wrong ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way. No. Seriously. It's Confederate Flag anal beads from the literal word go. Once you're past that you're just stuck walking around like a stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trying to find keys they give you no indication where any of them are or which one is for what.
Leonard needs to be beaten with a glass dildo how he never shuts the ♥♥♥♥ up and you're gonna get real tired of his digitized horse semen the developers allege is dialogue real ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quick. Bubba can ♥♥♥♥ off too.
The controls lick a marginal amount of possum penis if you know what you're doing. Like it's not great, but with some finagling with how the default controls are you can get it to work. The defaults you'll need to know are the arrow keys move and turn, Ctrl fires, Shift runs, Spacebar opens doors/uses switches, Enter uses inventory, brackets change inventory items, A jumps, and Z crouches. You *can* use mouse aiming with the U key, but trust me it doesn't help. Oh, also, use caps lock to turn on auto run. Trust me. Leonard moves slower than a sloth taking a ♥♥♥♥ without it.
The commonly complained about food/alcohol system is actually one of the more neat ideas in this game but it's implemented like condoms at a family reunion in Tennessee. IE: Poorly. It just doesn't really feel like the concept of inventory management fits with *Redneck Rampage*.
The game looks pretty good and feels very muddy which is normally a bad thing but Redneck Rampage looking muddy might actually be a boon in some ways, tho it may cause eye strain if you're in front of an object and you aim up or down so be warned.
Finally: The consistently most helpful reviews state the expansion pack isn't present which is untrue as of 2023 so idk what the ♥♥♥♥ that was about. Can't help ya there. It gives you the option for it when you open it, you hit 2, and then you start. It's not that difficult. I *would* agree that you should buy this on GOG because you get Rides Again in the same package if you really want that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Steam makes you pay $10 again for that and that in itself feels like a hate crime.
In conclusion: Please. Play this game. Everybody needs to play this game. This game has driven my loved ones to alcoholism, ruined friendships, hurt my eyes and ears, caused severe migraines for its mere existence, and I can't stop playing it. It defies every single gaming convention on making a good video game and this needs to be studied scientifically. This game is why cavemen painted on walls. The other games in the franchise do not compare to the artistry on display with the perfect fecal swirl present here. Weapons that suck, level design that sucks, music that's good but will make your ears bleed so in essence sucks your will to live, characters that suck, controls that suck.....this is art of the highest order.
I'd argue don't even bother putting this in a source port because oh yeah sure it can "fix" things about this game but why would you fix this game. This game is like watching a blimp crash into a trainwreck while Lauryn Hill's Unplugged album plays over the serenade of burning flesh and broken lives. ♥♥♥♥ RedneckGDX who needs that ♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥. What are you afraid of. Get your hands dirty by going in balls deep no rubber gloves straight into the septic tank with one of the single worst games ever made that I can't stop playing. I keep finding new things that hurt my feelings about this game every single time I open it and more people need to see this. This game will make your sister start to look really really hot if you play it for too long tho. Keep that in mind.
That said don't buy Redneck Deer Hunting or Redneck Rampage Rides Again*. Seriously don't they both suck ass but not in any tangibly fun ways. Trust me I've played all of these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ games even the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ racing game I'm something of an expert on digital horse semen, brother.

I have had this game on steam for i forget how many years now. For those that remember its name i can say its nostalgic in itself for those like me that played it when we were kids.

Horrible. Absolutely dreadful release for what is actually a promising game.
First off, this is not a source port or anything like the Duke Nukem or Blood re releases on Steam, it's quite literally the original files of the game loaded up in DosBox. But that's not just it, it also has all the limitations of a DOS game at the time (the max resolution is 1200x1600, you can't change the horrendous control scheme, etc.). And for some reason in my playthroughs, the game, from 1997, stuttered and struggled to run on my new gaming PC. Not even a fan made patch could save this, save your money and run this game in BuildGDX or something else. I'm gonna get a refund.

Блин,а шутанчик то топовый оказался !!! Я ставил rednukem порт сюда и играл с кайфом, а то встроенный dosbox ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Локации здесь интересные, только порой было непонятно что делать и куда идти. Видов врагов тоже маловато, но мне в принципе это и не мешало. Здесь и матершина есть в речи гг что тоже мне нравится. Советую пройти эту игру, тут реально есть на что посмотреть !!!

Duke Nukem 3DやShadow Warrior、Bloodなどでおなじみのゲームエンジン、ビルドエンジンで製作されたFPS「Redneck Rampage(1997年4月発売)」本編と、拡張パック「Suckin’ Grits on Route 66(1997年12月発売)」の二作をセットされた一見オトクそうなバンドル。
ストーリーは至極単純。アメリカの田舎町、アーカンソー州ヒックストンに住むレナードとバッバは、自分の牧場で飼っていた豚のベッシーをUFOによって誘拐されてしまう。激怒した二人はバールとリボルバーを手にエイリアン軍団を追うが、彼らを率いる女王ヴィクセンはとりあえず誘拐してきたそのへんのオッサンを大量にクローン製造してヒックストンの侵略を図るのだった...という、あほみたいな筋書きで始まる。
「アメリカ南部のクソ田舎vsUFOでやってきたエイリアン軍団」、と書けばB級コメディ映画か？と思うようなノリだが、実際の本編はステージ1からこのノリを失速させるほど殺風景なもの。ひたすら広大な田舎道を這い回り、豆粒のような鍵を捜し、どう考えてもシークレットのような正規ルートを捜して時間を浪費し、あるいはyoutubeでウォークスルーを見てあまりの難解さにデカい溜息をつく、という一連の動作を100回ほど繰り返すことになる。どうしてDuke Nukem 3DやShadow WarriorやBloodのようにリマスター復刻されてないんですか？面白くないからです。
回復アイテムは酒と食料(ムーンパイ)の二種類が存在し、それに合わせてご丁寧に酔いメーターと満腹度メーターという要らん機能が搭載されている。酒を飲みすぎると酔って操作不能になり、食い過ぎるとデカい屁で敵にバレるようになる...というしょうもないデメリットを受けてしまうが、時間経過やステージクリア、トイレに寄ったりなどで減少したりするためプレイ中に大して影響することはない。
武器の種類はそこそこ豊富で、弟を殴るとステージクリアになる以外に使い道のないバール、初期装備で威力も心もとないが所持弾数だけはめちゃくちゃ多いリボルバー、室内接近戦で有効なショットガン、グレネード兼ロケランのダイナマイト&ダイナマイトクロスボウ、高威力で頼りになるエイリアンの腕をもぎ取った銃、跳弾する草刈り機のブレード発射機、爆発する樽、胸に装着する超連射乳首マシンガンなどさまざま。
武器バランスや弾薬配置だけはわりとマトモなので、Build engine特有の超反応NPCにさえ慣れていれば戦闘自体はそこそこ楽しいものとなっている。敵の種類も一般クローン人間だけでなく死体を爆破しないと蘇る巨大エイリアンや小うるさい泥人形、イヌ、ワープしてくる強敵女エイリアン、竜巻などいろいろ登場し、そこそこ力は入っている。
既にBuild engineの挙動やお約束にある程度慣れ親しんでおり、しょうもないストーリーと殺風景で理不尽な本編、締まりのないエンディングに10時間費やす覚悟があるのならおすすめできる一作。ただ拡張パックのほうは比較的まともかつ面白い演出がいろいろ見られるので、全部やればそれなりに満足感は味わえる...かもしれない。
ソースポートを使わずDOSBOXだけで遊ぶ場合、キーコンフィグは起動時に本編ではなく拡張パックを選択することで編集することができる。「NAM」「WWII GI」などと同じく本作には常時マウスエイムなんて仕様は無いので、マウスを使いたい場合は「Rat Aimin'」ボタンを割り当てたうえで本編を起動、オプションから「Rat Aimin' Flip」を選択し、プレイする度に当該ボタンでマウスエイムに切り替える必要がある。

Ignore the 0.1 hours of playtime there, played all the way through in RedneckGDX.
That said, I recommend the game if you use a source port, specifically GDX, as that fixes the game's, er... key problems, by giving them multiple colors. That alone improves the experience exponentially.
This is by all means a guilty pleasure game. It's worth exploring for the amazingly gorgeous Build Engine graphics here (makes sense considering the environmental design in this game was worked on by the same person who worked on Half-Life's), but the weapons-enemy balancing aren't all great all the time. It's generally better in the expansion.
All the same, if you have a high pain-tolerance and find the humor presented funny enough, this game is worth a purchase, especially for only 10 dollars.
always fun to experience a game with a twist like this. lots of fun and there are some really great ideas for weapons including the dynamite bow, teat gun, hunting rifle, repeating pistol, double-barreled shotgun and more. Highly recommended for fans of the 3-D First Person shooter genre. I bought this game originally in 1997 or 1998 and even though the physical discs themselves do not work on non Windows 95 and 98 computers, it is a good thing for steam to adapt it and bring it back to the forefront.
Don't play unless yer comfertable with use'n them ara keys.

I made a valiant effort to like this game, but it's just bad. The game is playable and there are redeemable qualities, but the level design, gameplay, enemies, and weapons make it a chore to play. If you want to play a classic FPS game, look elsewhere and if you have exhausted all other options, make sure you install a source port.
PROS:
- Looks pretty good for a build engine game
- Great soundtrack
- Okay level of content, taking around 6 hours to complete
- Includes some extra content like the cuss pack (though this could be considered a con)
CONS:
- Some of the worst level design I have ever encountered (keys are really hard to see and the maps are labyrinthian)
- Awful enemies that either present no challenge or are tanky, bullet sponges that instakill you
- Garbage hit-detection across the board
- Useless and annoying to use weapons
- Terrible port, if you insist on playing this game install Rednukem
- Tons of glitches

Redneck Rampage is a bad game, but I can't help but love it. Yes, I know the gameplay kind of sucks. But I think the issue with this game's reception was that too many people played it like a run and gun shooter like Duke Nukem or Shadow Warrior. If you think this is run and gun, then you're not playing it correctly. You're supposed to take things slower, peek behind cover, yet still keep on the move when you need to, as most of the enemies are hitscanners. You also have to keep the health system in mind. There are two kinds of pickups: food and alcohol. Food pickups are less common and don't give you as much health, and while alcohol is more common, but drinking too much gets you drunk, and you can't walk straight until the alcohol meter goes down. You can either wait for it to go down or consume food pickups to lower it. This is a risk and reward system, and one of the better implemented mechanics in this game. Now, the real problems I have with this game are the hit detection, which seems to do whatever it wants (try shooting a chicken in this game and you'll see what I mean), and the level design, which is hard to navigate when you first play a map. I admit I've played this more than I should, but you get used to the level design and bad hit detection over time. All it takes is a sourceport (Raze, in my case) and a lot of patience. Would I recommend it? I'm not sure. I don't hate it as much as most people do, but I also acknowledge it's not a good game, I mainly come back to it because of its personality, much like Rise of the Triad. It's definitely my favorite trash game. Before you buy Redneck Rampage, just know that playing it like Duke or Shadow Warrior is going to get you killed fast, and relying on food pickups alone isn't going to help you either.

Ich war ein bisschen skeptisch ob ich es mir kaufen sollte, weil alte Spiele für gewöhnlich der letzte Rotz sind, aber es ist echt besser als viele Spiele die noch nicht so alt sind.
Die Hintergrund Musik ist auch echt der Hammer und so ziemlich die beste Rockabilly Sammlung.
Viele haben sich beschwert, dass die Hintergrundmusik nicht gehen würde, aber bei mir geht es und natürlich kann man sie sich auf YouTube anhören, was ich schon vor dem kauf des Spiels so an die tausend mal gemacht habe.
