Excellent experience. I'm a huge fan of straightforward narratives for that cover a few different topics or concepts. This is going to be closer to something like mouthwashing if you're interested in that as well. But I loved this game and will probably run it down again.

This game is interesting to say the least. After completing your first playthrough you will be left questioning your reality. This game has many great easter eggs baked inside while also maintaining an acid trip of a backstory in the background. In all seriousness, I would 100% recommend if you like shaking rats and being a bit scared while doing so.

游戏借鉴了寂静岭pt，但是没学到精髓，整体比较粗糙。场景胡乱堆砌断肢、血浆、尸体和粪便等猎奇元素，除了恶心玩家没有任何意义，人不管怎么样请保持一定程度的优雅和尊严，我们拥有回应美的能力，并非一摊烂肉。另外pt场景都是符号化的，都有明确的设计特征，玩家无需完全理解场景的真实结构，也能通过视觉符号快速判断危险和目标。这种符号化造就了游戏的可读性和叙事效率，可控心理节奏，属于一种导演式的艺术化游戏设计。而摇鼠灵只有花哨的包装，本质其实是很空洞的，如果这算心理恐怖游戏的话那无疑是失败的。并且在游戏中充满了作者的恶意，大部分可互动选项的结果都是杀掉你，然后你就要重新摇一遍鼠条了，摇的我手很酸。总体来说噱头远大于游戏本身，最吸引人的就是手中的老鼠，开发商也清楚这点所以出了圈钱dlc。

besides shaking and choking the rat its alright. story is pretty simple but kind of overstays its welcome.
SPOILERS i guess

we go from a farm house to a torture dungeon to a meat maze then to what seems to me a church of some kind and the game ends. there are a few things you can interact with that just kill you and makes you start over, the part with the generator is a bit annoying because you if you die anytime after the first one you got to start right back with the first one. Were we a cultist or a cannibal or just some drunk who choked his wife and kid to death? no idea, tons of missing posters around but other then the photos we pick up and the rat saying vaguely vague things there's nothing but speculation.

just too repetitive, slow paced, and a bit boring, again should have ended sooner and tone the story in so were not left confused on the whole thing just for the story to be "guy killed wife" i cant really recommended it on a gameplay point of a view but if you wanna support them sure

A short weird horror game where you walk around with a Rat in your hand which you need to shake and squeeze to interact with things while it spews one-liners at you. In it you go into a house and collect the pieces of your wife's picture whilst going deeper and deeper into the house slowly morphing into a large maze filled with grotesque imagery ending with the reveal that you killed your wife and this is all some weird hallucination.

Kinda mid honestly. Didn't like that I was forced to go through the entire game again for an achievement. It was also unfun how when you'd interact with certain things (like the over) you'd just be killed and sent back to the start of the part you were at.

除了把控制杆换成了老鼠，并没有多少创意的一款游戏。
机制不有趣，场景一般般，叙事性相当低
[spoiler]还以为有很具体的情感戏呢，结果看上去只是主角疯了……或许故事想表达的是主角的妻子意外离世之后开始搞献祭复活妻子，但是对此的描写信息量实在太少了，基本上只是靠糊血浆肉块来塑造氛围，看到后面比较审美疲劳[/spoiler]

为了老鼠打个好评，因为老鼠确实很可爱，可以说是本作的最大亮点
但是老鼠台词也太少了，如果和Getting over一样，走一段就多唠一会嗑，应该会更有趣一点

总而言之不推荐游玩，比较推荐亲自体验前20分钟左右的内容后，网上实况速通即可

Очень хорошая игра за свою цену. Есть пара страшных скримеров, жуткая атмосфера и неплохая стилизованная графика. Сюжет мне понравился, но о нем я поговорю ниже. Единственный минус, который я могу назвать, это одно нерусифицированное слово shake в начале, багов не было.
А теперь мое рассуждение о сюжете. [spoiler] Я лично после прохождения интерпретировала историю так: безумный жестокий мужчина убивает свою семью, ребенка и жену. После этого их тела, которые мужчина скрывал, начали поедать крысы и мужчина решил подсознательно обвинить в смерти близких крыс. Поэтому они ему везде чудятся и он их душит/трясет. Но в руководствах я увидела дельную мысль о том, что тряска крысы это метафора к мастурбации. То есть жена спалила мужчину за мастурбацией, и поэтому он их убил. В принципе я готова поверить этой теории, если хотите можете почитать руководство, там много доводов. Так к чему это я - сюжет здесь можно интерпретировать по разному, главное что он хороший. RATSHAKER is a surreal short experimental walking simulator with an unsettling but engaging atmosphere where you shake a rat and nothing more...

The game is pretty short with an hour run time that never feels too dense or bloated with what's presented. The story is very much up to interpretation with few direct details given. I think everyone will come to their own conclusion what RATSHAKER was really about while keeping the general consensus and themes.

The game is GREAT at crafting a genuinely tense and unnerving atmosphere and got a few jumps out of me without feeling like a cheap attempt at horror. And the humor really lands (at least for me personally) with its cut and dry sarcasm. And some of those sets were gorgeously grotesque, I loved the setting and low poly w/ a 2D layover style.

Linear short walking sims tend to be a fine line to tow but I thought RATSHAKER really nailed it, not overstaying its welcome but being a genuinely engaging time all the way through. If you're bored or just deadly curious and got $3 and an hour then I highly recommend.

I was initially drawn by Ratshaker‘s ARG-style promotional video. It's a tiny, polished, utterly unhinged and truly accursed first-person indie horror game. The gameplay mechanics are quite weird and unique, but essentially, shake the rat by holding the left mouse key to build up action bar, and then use the right mouse key choking the rat consuming action bar to interact. There are light puzzle elements and couple jump scares. I absolutely loved the demonic squealing noise the rat makes when you shake it, and this might be the first time I've played a game that make my own horror SFX throughout. For the story, my personal interpretation is that [spoiler] it's about a deranged serial killer who starts a family but then turns his deadly hand against his wife and child, ultimately destroying his own household. [/spoiler] Unlike a traditional escape room game, this feels more like an anti-escape room, a game where you delve deeper and deeper into the protagonist's inner prison. However, this guy isn't twisted enough to be a true psychopath. It feels like the killing inflicted severe psychological trauma, which led to his inner distortion and trapped him in the cycle of the so called rat shaking world, forced to endure the torment of his own conscience. As anyone who regularly work as serial killers would know, a true psychopath would be too busy getting off on the thrill to ever develop a mindset like this.

当初是被这款游戏ARG风格的宣传片所吸引的。是一款短小精湛且非常癫的第一人称小品级恐怖游戏。游戏玩法机制非常之何意味，但本质上就是左键摇鼠蓄力，右键掐紧消耗蓄力与场景互动。轻微解密，轻度jump scare。太喜欢摇老鼠时它发出的魔性叫声，还真是第一次遇到游戏自己全程给自己配恐怖音效的。剧情上个人理解就是[spoiler] 一个变态联欢杀人犯有了家庭，毒手却伸向妻儿然后毁掉自己家庭的的这么一个故事。 [/spoiler] 不同于传统密室逃脱，这款更像是反密室逃脱一步步走进主角的心牢的密室逃入游戏。但是这个人变态得不够彻底啊，感觉杀人给自己心理造成了很大创伤，导致内心扭曲才会循环在鼠摇灵的世界中接受来自自己内心的煎熬。常作变态杀人狂的朋友都知道，真正的变态兴奋还来不及呢才不会有这种心态呢。

整體氣氛壓抑但沒事就可以搖老鼠跟解壓玩具一樣
覺得害怕時就搖老鼠聽牠ㄜㄚㄚㄚㄚㄡㄚㄚ叫就不怎麼怕了
jumpscare也只有1.2個所以滿適合膽子小的人玩
流程很短 1周目慢慢探索+2周目速通都還不到2小時
想買點數商店的老鼠貼圖還要再開遊戲掛一下時數才有辦法買......
劇情也滿普通的但LOWPOLY復古風很加分

I picked up Ratshaker in a bundle and went in completely blind. From the screenshots, I figured the premise might be a little silly, but that is what intrigued me enough to give the game a try. Instead, I ended up with a genuinely unique and memorable experience.

The game is short (a little over an hour for me), but it absolutely nails the psychological horror beats. There’s a surprising amount of story packed into that time, and much of it is left open to interpretation. The best horror often leaves a few questions unanswered and lets the viewer or player, draw their own conclusions.

I won’t spoil anything here, but Ratshaker is only $2.99 at full price. It’s absolutely worth checking out at that price, and even more so if you catch it on sale. Don’t sleep on this one.

I only bought this game for the 2nd screenshot. The game is not nearly as funny as what you think you're going to get. The rat shaking is just some dude yelling, and it was funny for 2 seconds, and the rest is just some horror slop that has infuriating mechanics like the stupid generators. Gave up after when the second generator blew up. I wanted a meme game but got streamer horror slop.

Ratshaker is another of those games that makes me wish for a third option instead of just 'Yes' or 'No'.
I mean, it's... OK. Short, simple. Kind of a fever dream in terms of the subjective experience, it's hard to tell if it's being deliberately incoherent or they just went with 'hey cool concept' and didn't develop it beyond that.

[spoiler] So: the shaking/squeezing you inflict on the titular rat is implied to reflect a fatal assault that the unnamed player character inflicted on his wife, and possibly infant child (bearing in mind the presence of a crib swarmed by rats). Not hard to divine, when you start picking up torn pieces of a photo and are prompted to FIND HER. Uncomfortable material to be sure, domestic violence is an atrocity that pop culture does well to treat with extreme caution and the utmost sensitivity: Silent Hill 2 managed. Trouble is, when you start wandering through what appears to be a labyrinthine torture dungeon ostensibly under the rural farmhouse (reminiscent of the film 'Martyrs') replete with cages and cells, occult symbols, skinless corpses next to 'Missing' fliers, big drippy colums and corridors of flesh etc, what are we to make of this? Is your character a cultist who sacrificed these hapless victims to some unknown entity? A serial murderer of industrial proportions? Is this all just in their head, a manifestation of a psyche immersed in cruelty and sadism? Piling these bodies up, whether real or imagined, just dilutes any impact of the final reveal, which also features an eye-rolling jumpscare. Furthermore, playing fart noises when you enter a cell covered in excrement with turds on the floor is a questionable tonal shift. [/spoiler]

Honestly, Kitty Horrorshow has made more frightening experiences you can get for free (try 'Anatomy').

Shaking the rat is funny for maybe 5 minutes and once you enter the basement and realize it’s a horror game everything becomes incredibly predictable.

Then it goes on for 60 more minutes with nothing happening. There’s no interesting twist, reveal or lore. The single one game mechanic is shaking the rat to charge up a meter so you can interact with a few objects. No puzzles or enemies whatsoever. It’s boring.

This game could be free and I still wouldn’t recommend it. Time is precious, so don’t go wasting it on an unfunny meme game.

A surreal, quick and simple linear horror game with some rich lore that leaves you second guessing the fact that you bought a game to shake and squeeze a rat and it led you down a chaotic spiral of insanity in a farmhouse out in the country.

Overall, the story is easy to understand and is pretty clear in the metaphoric riddles it gives you to piece the story together. This story also allows room for conspiracy theories, which I feel could be good to continue the rat shaker saga. Highly recommend this Indie title.

However, I must say I enjoyed the game far more post its update since the game changed some of the scenery and means of reaching the end. It took away from some of the more disturbing tones by making it more like an adventure rather than the end being in a room in the basement it was more like a church and a temple shrine. It didn't feel as impactful compared to how it was originally. Sure its more developed and interesting, but I personally think the simplicity of the original ending was darker and drew the games message across.

Comedy-Horror is imo one of the best genres. It is a delicate balance and not everything in the genre truly manages to do it well. Ratshaker however does it so well.

You can immediately see the silly meme-ness of the game and the rat shaking mechanic. It's goofy, and yet as you're shaking and choking the heck out of this rat and it's saying silly lines it's also always keeping unnerving with it's lowkey violence and harm at the same time. I think it's a great accomplishment at an unexpected and unique mechanic that is both humorous and blends into the more subtle disturbing vibe of the whole experience.

For everything funny and weird there is something unnerving and wrong going on and it all genuinely comes together in a cohesive way. This game is genuinely good and a perfect accomplishment of a horror comedy game that isn't just dumb.
