Surprisingly good boomer shooter. The arsenal is pretty varied and mostly viable for the entire game (though there's one gun which outshines all others, shame), and the enemies are also diverse enough not to get boring. What I liked most about the game were the unique and skewed environments you shoot your way through, like a madhouse, the death star, and a bunch of other memorable locations with a few bad ones here and there. They're mostly surprisingly linear, but can get confusing nonetheless. No switchhunt frustration here, but the way forward isn't 100% apparent sometimes. Still, you traverse playfully designed maps which are filled with some decent encounter design.

My biggest complaint has little to do with the moment-to-moment gameplay itself, and more with how the game presents itself. The intro is basically "here's a trip into The Postal Dude's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up psyche..." and then it's mostly Karen jokes, quips like "OK boomer" and fighting Covid. It's not terrible, but a tiny fraction of stuff is still reminiscent of the Postal 2 edgyness, so it's a weird mixture of the game playing it very safe with the humor, and some actually 'offensive' stuff thrown in. So I'd say the biggest point where the game suffers is the identity of the humor, and considering the game tries very hard to be meta and self-aware, it could've profited a bit from acknowledging that it's not the old, edgy Postal the series started out with, instead of still somewhat pretending it is.

Anyway, I'd say it's a decent buy at 20 bucks, but I got it on sale for only five, and I'm happy with what I got. I don't think it'll be part of the 'boomshoot revival canon' among the ranks of Dusk, Cultic, Selaco and whatnot, but it's still a very fun game where the six hours of gameplay aren't plagued by any true lows, and the levels are quite charming. Easy recommendation when it's on sale!

I beat the game and got most of the achievements in roughly 8 hours of play time. It's a complete 180 from other postal games with it being more in line with dusk. doom eternal, and other boomer shooters in that general range. I think it is a pretty fun game if you like this sorta genre. Definitely recommend picking it up if it's on sale or if you just think you would like it

Просто калл. Это не Postal, это недо-DOOM, где стрельба приносит боль не врагам, а игроку, почему настолько игра неприятна? Саундтреки вообще не зашли, тупо повторяющийся рингтон и где-то 3 раза за игру появляется нормальный тяжёлый рок. Локации просто ужас, тупо коридоры из первых DOOM. Боссы тоже ужасны, можно их тупо убить одним оружием не получив урона, так как патроны дают навалам и локации огромны, из-за чего умереть от них очень тяжко. Иногда от визуала игры меня сильно тошнило, эти повторяющиеся саундтреки и локации реально могут свети с ума, настолько игра ужасна в геймдизайне. 3/10, единственный плюс - прикольный дизайн оружий

I went into Postal Brain Damaged with fairly high expectations because of how often it gets praised, especially compared to other entries in the series, and after committing to a full completion run, unlocking everything and pushing through all of its content, I came away feeling underwhelmed more than anything else, not because the game is broken or poorly made, but because it feels limited, repetitive, and ultimately less engaging the longer you spend with it, which becomes very clear when you aim for 100 percent completion instead of just playing through it once, and that distinction matters, because on a first playthrough the fast pace and tight shooting can carry the experience, but over time those strengths stop being enough to hide the lack of depth in its design, and one of the biggest issues I noticed early on is how narrow the gameplay loop is, since most levels follow the same pattern of moving forward, clearing rooms, and repeating that process with very little variation in objectives or structure, and while the combat is responsive and the weapons feel solid, there is only so much satisfaction you can get from doing the same thing over and over without meaningful changes in how you approach each encounter, and that repetition becomes more obvious the deeper you go, especially when you are trying to complete every challenge and unlock every upgrade, because instead of discovering new mechanics or interesting scenarios, you are mostly refining the same actions in slightly different environments, and those environments, while visually distinct at a glance, often lack the interactivity or complexity needed to keep them interesting over long sessions, and I found that many levels blend together after a while, not because they look identical, but because they play in such a similar way that they fail to leave a strong impression, and that is a problem for a game that relies heavily on momentum and engagement to keep players invested, and another issue is the progression system, which initially seems rewarding but quickly loses its impact, because upgrades tend to offer incremental improvements rather than meaningful changes to how you play, and as a result, unlocking them does not significantly alter your strategy or open up new possibilities, it just makes you slightly more efficient at what you were already doing, and that lack of transformation makes the grind for 100 percent completion feel less satisfying than it should, because you are putting in the effort without seeing a strong payoff in terms of gameplay variety, and I also noticed that the challenge design leans heavily on increasing difficulty through enemy numbers and damage output rather than introducing new mechanics or smarter enemy behavior, and while this can create intense moments, it also leads to situations where success depends more on memorization and reaction speed than on creative problem solving, and that can make repeated attempts feel tedious rather than rewarding, especially when you are replaying sections to complete specific objectives, and the checkpoint system, while functional, does not always support this kind of repetition well, because it can place you in situations where you have to redo sections that you have already mastered just to get another chance at a specific challenge, and over time that adds friction to the completion process, and I found myself losing motivation during certain segments because the path to progress felt more like a routine than an engaging task, and the humor, which is a defining element of the Postal series, also feels less effective here, not because it is completely absent, but because it takes a back seat to the action, and when it does appear, it often feels less sharp or less memorable than in other entries, and that shift in tone might work for players who prefer a more action focused experience, but for me it made the game feel less distinct within the series, and more like a standard shooter with a Postal skin rather than a fully realized entry with its own identity, and I also think the game’s structure works against it in the long run, because while the level based design allows for quick sessions and clear progression, it also limits the sense of exploration and player choice that can make a completion run more engaging, since you are always moving forward along a defined path with little room to experiment or approach situations differently, and that lack of flexibility reduces replay value, which is important when you are trying to justify the time investment required for full completion, and even though the core mechanics are polished, they do not evolve enough over the course of the game to maintain long term interest, and that is where the experience starts to feel flat, because you reach a point where you have seen everything the game has to offer, and from there it becomes a matter of execution rather than discovery, and that shift makes the remaining content feel less exciting, especially when you are pushing through the final stretch, and by the time I finished everything, I felt more relieved than satisfied, which is not what you want from a completionist run, and while I can understand why some players rate it highly, especially if they value tight controls and fast paced combat above all else, I think those strengths have been overstated to the point where they overshadow the game’s limitations, and when you look at the full experience, not just the highlights, it becomes clear that it does not offer as much depth or variety as its reputation suggests, and that is why I would describe it as mid overall, because it sits in the middle ground where it is clearly competent and occasionally fun, but not strong enough to stand out or justify the level of praise it often receives, and it does not fail in a dramatic way, but it also does not excel in a way that leaves a lasting impression, and for a game that is often recommended so strongly, that gap between expectation and reality becomes more noticeable, especially during a full completion run where every weakness has time to surface, and I also think that the focus on constant action comes at the expense of pacing, because there are very few moments where the game slows down or gives you space to reset, and while that might sound like a positive on paper, it actually makes the experience feel more exhausting over time, since there is little contrast between intense and quiet moments, and that lack of balance reduces the overall impact of the action, because it never has a chance to build or release tension in a meaningful way, and instead it stays at a similar level throughout, which can make long sessions feel draining rather than exciting, and in terms of value, the game is not a bad purchase if you enjoy straightforward shooters and want something you can pick up and play in short bursts, but if you are looking for a deeper experience or planning to complete everything it offers, you should go in with realistic expectations, because the strengths that stand out early do not necessarily carry through the entire experience, and the repetition, limited progression, and lack of variety become more apparent the longer you play, and while it is not a bad game, it is also not the standout entry that it is often made out to be, and after spending the time to fully complete it, I can say that it is competent, occasionally enjoyable, but ultimately overrated, and that is the main takeaway, because it does enough to be considered decent, but not enough to justify the level of praise it consistently receives.

i love how they kept the old "ugly" graphics from the old games while allowing themselves to have smoother animations, its a lot more colorful than the older games but it honestly adds to its charm. the only problem i have is the fact that the controls are not the same as postal 2 so i had to readapt it but either way its a cool addition to the franchise!

Un amigo me dijo que era bastante mid, y la verdad que tiene razón. Si bien jugué bastantes niveles (quedé por la mitad del juego) me aburrí bastante y estuve esperando que se vuelva divertido, pero no hay caso. La música está bien, pero mayormente es inexistente y eso lo hunde aún más, Tal vez con la musica al palo todo el tiempo habría sido mejor, como pasa con Dread Templar.

Por así decirlo, es un juego que promete diversión, pero ESO que prometió nunca llegó. Ah, y los mapas se alargan demasiado, con pocos enemigos que matar, haciendo que al llegar la música frenética, vos ya hayas matado a todos, por lo que te duran muy poco, es un problema que también ví en el DOOM Eternal.

I'm really enjoying my playthrough of the game, its challenging but not overly difficult, I've had a few tear-inducing laughs while playing. I love the movement mechanics and pacing of the game overall. It can be a bit buggy at times such as getting stuck, getting pushed out of the map, etc, but nothing making it unplayable, remember to save, save, save your game! Dudes Boomer Shooter filled with Fire Piss, f*ckin nutty world and Serious Sam-ish enemies to fight.

Guns are satisfying.. though once you get the shotgun, this pistol is useless.. the levels are interesting..

I liked it, far more than anything from the actual postal series.

An ironically really good boomer shooter in Postal skin. It might actually be the best postal "game", seeing as Postal 2's greatest part is just... doing stupid stuff.

The weapon selection is varied, most of them are good to awesome, the level design in some of those levels are absolutely insane in a good way, and some encounters are definitively a bit sweaty (on hard).

The game has 3 episodes of around 4-6 levels each, finished the game in around 6 or so hours. Missed some secrets, but heh.

Some of the negative feedback I have is that a lot of the enemies can attack from really far away, have tiny hitboxes, and you don't really have a lot of weapons that either have huge hitboxes or that can snipe from far away. This means you'll often end up spraying and praying with the nailgun, the dildobow (yes) or the minigun just to get those enemies. TBH near the end I was almost exclusively using the rocket launcher because there's just so many enemies and they're super hard to hit, so the most effective weapon was just blasting the entire area with AOE and let god sort them out.

Nah. Got nothing on the original games. Gotta admit I mainly kept playing for the dildo bow. Found it mildly humorous and great like the dildo bat from Saints. Humor is very hit or miss and very miss if you don't get all the references which is what a lot of it is. The amount of damage enemies do is also too high for easy and normal. Also everything is a dream so nothing matters.
A lot of stuff is literally ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Why? Excessive fecal matter. Apparently Postal guy has a hardcore scat fetish and is kinda gay. Has wet dreams but a hardcore lack of pretty women in them.... or has no bladder control at all.
-Ability to kick stuff back is very finicky or window is small AF.
-No subtitle for enemies so you can't catch what they say
-Worst thing about the game is how legitimately lacking in offensive stuff
-Devs apparently not competent enough to have game pause when bringing up menu
-train level is to hard on the eyes

A perfectly batsh*t-crazy successor to the Postal series, gone boomer-style.

Full action and entertainment all game long.
