Really fun and surprising amount of strategy, people complaining about the achievements can either not care or cheat them in after meeting them against ai or hard ai or whatever they feel they need to do to earn it. I game solo or against AI and enjoy aiming to collect achievements. Patchwork only lets you collect achievements if you play against an online (human) opponent.

Listen.... it's patchwork. The online doesn't work anymore but you can play local multiplayer, or you can play against the computer. Which is what I do. There's this one bot named Uwe... and well we have a bit of a rivalry. She's allegedly the "medium" difficulty, but that B dogwalks me 80% of the time. Every time I beat her is like a triumph and I feel an emotion I only ever felt before as a kid playing on a soccer team that lost almost all of our games, but that one day we finally won one.

It's been awhile since I've seen such a terrible UI, and I have no idea how to zoom out and see more pieces. There's alot of planning you can do with the physical version that doesn't seem possible here, or the interface is so insane I just can't determine how to do it. The result is actions feeling kinda random in a game without much randomness. Boo.
Truth be told I'm awful at this game. I only play against the AI on Easy Peasy mode and I usually lose. But my quilt always looks nicer than the AI's at the end and I still enjoy myself immensely so maybe I'm actually great at this game.
I like playing this game for a short relaxation, it's nice and easy. The cartoon art is really charming 🐻

This phone game port is buggy to the point of game-breaking in local play. You'd think drag and drop would be easy enough, but apparently not. You can't even back out to look at the pieces when you get a patch bonus.
If you actually like Patchwork, do not buy this game. Not even on deep sale--don't feed shovelware trolls.

Из минусов могу выделить следующие:
⛔️Чтобы получить “платину” по достижениям, нужно выиграть 1000 игр, а учитывая полумертвый мультиплеер, то это будет ооочень долгая игра, например мне на 10 побед (с учетом 13 сыгранных игр и 2 проигрыша) ушло 10 часов.
Но я встречал игроков с 10к сыгранными партиями.
⛔️ Чтобы получить рейтинг ELO 2000 требуется действительно много времени, если не заниматься бустингом.
Но касательно самой игры, реализации и технических особенностей, то тут все идеально как в настольной (лучшая игра на 2их), так и в компьютерной версии.
Мультиплеер позволяет не играть матч сразу, а играть с 5 одновременно , делая шаги хоть раз в сутки, противнику придет уведомление в стим и у него будут сутки на ход и тд. Что удобно.
Рекомендую ознакомиться на распродаже, может захотите прикупить настольную версию.

Uwe Rosenberg's other games are just more fun to me.
While Patchwork has pretty much all the features of his other games, I end up liking this one a good bit less. Only supporting two players reduces the overall value compared to Cottage Garden or Indian Summer. It does very much encourage you to plan ahead significantly, but due to the rather wide range of possible number of turns it could take to get to certain future tiles, that can be rather a headache to actually do in game (and slow it down when playing with other human players). I am not quite as sure about the overall balance of the different patches in many cases and I admit, just purely aesthetically speaking, the idea of ending up, in most games, with a quilted blanket still full of holes just irks me a bit.
I would recommend Indian Summer or Cottage Garden over this and only get this one if you specifically look for a different take on the base idea with a different added set of complexities for two players.
Quite glitchy and buggy, often freezes without a way out. When it works it's fun but these game-ending bugs seem to happen every second or third game.

The board game is fun but the implementation, at least on PC, stinks. This has been out for a while and it's not a complicated UI they should have it working perfectly at this point.

Nice chill board game style to play with a friend. The interfacing is a little outdated and the chat is sensitive to 'inappropriate' language. Sometimes censoring letter strings inside of longer words like 'parse' & can make it a little annoying to communicate in game.
I love playing this in person, though when I don't want to do the math, the digital version is great, and very quickly replayable. My biggest gripe is with the achievements being bugged and not counting casual wins with friends towards achievement progress, especially when servers are mostly dead/inactive. BUT. That said, this is a faithful board game rendition and if you like Patchwork in real life, you'll like this version too!
This is a very cute tetris-tile laying game and I wish more people played! It is pretty slow, server-wise, but that isn't a huge issue for me as I play after I get a few turn notifications. I'm trying to get friends & fam to play so I can play immediate games instead of a dozen asynchronous games.

A lovely, gentle, kid-friendly game. Fairly simple, though there are some subtleties to scoring strategy that (depending on age/experience) kids will need assistance with at first. For a less competitive person there is enjoyment in the creation, not just the score.

The game is broken. Towards the end of every game, the choice to sew the piece the quilt stops showing up. Going back to the piece choices allows you to choose another piece, and then you see two pieces overlapped to the side of the quilt and neither can be placed. There is no way to get the game to continue once this glitch starts happening. I guess I will stick to the iPad version.

This is adorable and fun, and easy to play but (at least for me) not easy to win. Takes some strategy, which isn't my strong point. I really enjoy it though. I see a lot of comments about bugs. I'm 9.4 hours in right now and haven't experienced any. I have been playing almost strictly multi-player with random matchups, not inviting friends or anything, so I can't speak to those modes, but this one seems like they've worked out whatever bugs there used to be.
It is challenging and faithful to the original concept. Definitely a good warm-up exercise for your brain.

Из плюсов хорошая музыка и милая картинка, вариант игры с переработанными тайлами (это прям жирный плюс цифровой версии) и возможность выбирать скорость анимации. Из минусов - интерфейс, невнятное обучение (как всегда с играми Digidiced лучше просто прочитать печатные правила) и машинный перевод (игра языконезависимая, так что это не страшно).
В целом адаптация удалась. Если вы фанат оригинальной настолки, то эта версия вам тоже понравится.

Fun game but the latest patch has broken the game for some people. The game won't launch past the loading screen with the studio names. Reinstalling doesn't fix the issue. Would be nice for some communication from the developers acknowledging the issue.

This is one of my favorite board games, I've only beaten Uwe a few times but it's like training for the tabletop game. If you love puzzle and polyomino-type games or Uwe Rosenberg games, this is the game for you.
Had played the tabletop version and it's super fun and the digital one is very faithful. It's great for a little 10 minute match!
This is an excellent adaptation of the board game, easy to use and attractive. It's a challenging two-player duel of weird shapes and precious buttons and I love it.
Note that I play solitaire against the AI, not against other players; I cannot assess how well the multiplayer version runs.

"Patchwork" ist die Digital-Umsetzung eines Plättchenlege-Brettspiels für zwei Personen.
2014 erschien das äußerst erfolgreiche Plättchenlege-Brettspiel von Uwe Rosenberg. In den Folgejahren kamen noch ein paar Versionen heraus, die eine neue Aufmachung hatten, aber im Kern dasselbe Spiel waren.
In "Patchwork" dürfen wir auf einem quadratischen Spielfeld tetris-artige Plättchen auslegen, die wir mit Knöpfen und Schritten auf einer Fortschrittsanzeige bezahlen müssen. Am Zug ist stets derjenige, der auf dieser Fortschrittsanzeige hinten liegt.
Beim Auslegen der Tetris-Teile sollte wir versuchen, möglichst wenig Felder frei zu lassen, denn die geben am Ende Minuspunkte, aber wir sollten auch bevorzugt die Tetris-Teile aus einer Auslage von drei möglichen wählen, die aufgedruckte Knöpfe besitzen, denn dadurch erhalten wir an bestimmten Zeitpunkten des Spiels neues Geld, um neue und bessere Teile kaufen zu können.
Das originale Brettspiel ist grandios und kombiniert in großer Leichtigkeit simple Mechaniken mit einem immer wieder variablen Spielverlauf. "Patchwork" ist schnell gespielt, einfach erklärt und bietet dennoch immer mehrere Entscheidungsmöglichkeiten.
Und auch die digitale Umsetzung funktioniert erstaunlich gut. Wo viele andere Brettspiel-Umsetzungen mechanisch schwächeln, ist diese Umsetzung leicht und intuitiv zu bedienen und bleibt dabei immer übersichtlich. Die Tetris-Teile sind leicht zu nehmen und simpel zu drehen und zu platzieren. Und sogar die Passen-Option, die in diesem Spiel eine manchmal sinnvolle Aktion ist, findet sich sehr zentral auf dem Bildschirm wieder.
Bei vielen Brettspiel-Umsetzungen gilt, daß man besser erst das originale Brettspiel gespielt haben sollte. Das hilft hier natürlich auch, ist aber alles andere als notwendig.
Ästhetisch ist "Patchwork" gelungen. Die simpel kindliche Bildsprache des Originals wird in der Digitalversion eins zu eins übernommen. Und sogar die Musik ist nett und erträglich. Natürlich sollte man lieber die Option nutzen gegen menschliche Gegner zu spielen, aber auch gegen die KI macht es Spaß. Das liegt aber wahrscheinlich gar nicht mal an einer wirklich guten KI, sondern an dem grundlegenden Spielprinzip von "Patchwork", das dazu neigt, Schwächen spielmechanisch auszugleichen.
Also: ein grandioses Brettspiel in einer gut funktionierenden und durchaus überzeugenden digitalen Umsetzung.

This game's asynchronous play scene is still active in 2022. This is an incredibly engaging game that mixes management of time and resources with Tetris-style piece placement. I can't recommend this game enough.

A perfect port for a perfect board game. Chill music, easy to use and stylish interface, however a little guide could be put in place to help people actually add each other as friends and connect that way.

the singleplayer is really fun and its like playing the original boardgame.
but the ai is way too hard and the multiplayer is broken.
i tried to play some games with a friend and it was impossible to play together. we tried remote play and normal online game but it was not working very well. :(

El juego en sí es muy chulo. Ya había jugado en tablero. El problema: la interfaz es horrorosa. Más de la mitad de las partidas tengo que abandonar porque no me deja seleccionar las piezas.

Great implementation of a lovely board game! This is a very peaceful, relaxing game but gives just enough depth to keep you puzzled ;)
Fun 2-player game.
Interface: Cute, but could use some text. Lots of buttons/things that look like buttons, very little explanatory text. Music manages to be whimsical without being boring or repetitive.
Gameplay: Simple at first, but plenty of subtlety. You have to cover your quiltboard. So you need to generate income. So you pick the right pieces And try to block your opponent. And avoid opportunity cost. While moving on a board with a limited track that favors slow play. Or does it favor reaching squares fast?
AI: First three opponents are simple enough. Last one (Uwe) is Skynet-tier. Good luck.
Online play: Asynchronous play lets you run up to 3 games at a time. With a turn timer of 24 hours, it feels more like the old play-by-email games. Still, there's an active number of players.

Excellent game, excellent AI. Hard level seems impossible to win (which is unusual for eurogames). I have been glued to this thing for at least a week. The interface to start a game is kind of wonky though.

Taking the classic boardgame to a digital format works very well, games play smoothly and work as expected.
