Game randomly closes after running about 10min, i wish i knew what was wrong. other than assuming it could be as simple as disabling steam overlay otherwise? can't recommend. the gameplay is good i guess but this game is OLD as heck and the new one is better with easier mechanics ALTHOUGH the new one is a mixed bag just like this game was, i like the fact that the timer doesn't start until you place the first man and that you can stage your tower however you would like, the sequel however? not so much.

No game has ever made me laugh, cry, and question my life choices quite like Mount Your Friends. It’s a masterpiece of absurdity — a majestic ballet of flailing limbs, spinning dongles, and competitive chaos that somehow manages to be both dumb and genius at the same time.
You climb your friends. Literally. You grab, swing, and fling your way upward using pure physics and questionable flexibility, all while classical music plays like this is some high art performance. Spoiler: it is.
Every round turns into a screaming match of “GRAB MY LEG!” and “WHY IS IT SPINNING?!”, and yet somehow, everyone’s crying with laughter by the end. It’s weird, it’s wonderful, and it’s exactly the kind of nonsense gaming needs more of.
Even years later, it still holds up — because chaos and comedy never go out of style.
🥇 Verdict: 10/10 — A physics-based masterpiece that turns friendship into performance art. Beautiful. Stupid. Perfect.

Be careful playing this game after a full meal as you may vomit from laughing. Genuinely the most fun I have had with a group of friends in a game in a long time. We are all in pain from the guffaws.

A poorly aged joke that might have once been fun with friends. Then again, most things are fun with friends. I expect Do Your Taxes Simulator 2030 would be fun with friends. If you need other people to make your game entertaining, then your game is likely boring. At least, it was for me in any case. Not really surprising an almost decade-old party game has failed to hit the mark to a solo player all these years on though.

Lacking basic modern save functionality, disrespects my free time. I am an adult with more important commitments than a video game and the content isn't engaging enough to be worth replaying every time I get called away. Technical and performance issues can be forgiven for an indie but the lack of save on exit and 30+ minutes between saves can be infuriating.
For 1€ more you get the 3D version.
It's a funny little game, I bet it's funnier if you got friends to play with you. Solo it's 30 minutes before the novelty effect wears off.
