Pretty promising at first. Technically it´s on Wolfenstein 3D Level but unlkike the original it delivers a very brtutal hard game. And it´s not fun already dying in the first level over and over again. A pity, bacause it actually looks nice and 3 Bucks sound fair as well.
If you´re for a challenge on Doom Nightmare Level you might like it though.

Esta bueno, es un clon de Doom de los cientos que hay. No tiene un gran diseño de niveles ni armas, ni nada, pero es masomenos pasable. Una pena que fue abandonado al poco tiempo de salir. COmo positivo rescato que tiene CROMOS que da algo mas de valor al titulo y fue la razon por la que creo que merece un voto neutral.

Classic Doom clone with atrocious level design and bad controls. First of all you need to fix mouse input to make it somewhat playable. Secondly, navigating through the map is confusing - no minimap. Third, music is good, sound effects are not. Fourth, saving partially works...

I couldn't find any reload mechanic, no way to regain hp, and the sensitivity is so messed up that moving your mouse at a normal speed won't move your character and the game will freeze until you stop moving your mouse. You can also only move side to side, up and down isn't a thing yet and your character aims too high for half of the mobs.
On the plus side you can see all 16 pixels, and there is gameplay of some sort.

It's borderline unplayable and it's really only due to one major issue: almost all of the enemies do screener damage and they shoot at you from all directions. What is screener damage? When you are playing an FPS game like Doom, you will probably notice certain attacks are avoidable and some are unavoidable. An imp's fireball, for example, is dodgeable. This game is almost entirely undodgeable attacks, often occuring from areas who are shooting at you through walls and corners, behind brush, etc. while you are just absorbing damage frantically spinning around trying to figure out what it is hitting you. It's absolutely atrocious and one of the worst FPS game designs I've ever seen.
If you're going to have enemies deal unblockable screener damage, at least code a limit on the range that they can shoot. Basically if you're on the same screen as these enemies they will be damaging you. Beyond that there are these random green creatures that behave like dogs and just run at you. These enemies are ways less annoying to fight because if you kill them quick enough you won't take damage. The first half of this game is just exchanging damage with the enemies and grabbing medpacks. There is about a one second delay when the enemy first sees you and they start shooting so if you are really quick you might avoid damage.
The second half of the game is way more playable because you get the shotgun that can instakill enemies. Even though it's a shotgun it deals the same amount of damage at all ranges. It can only hold ten shots but there is only one ammo type so you can refill whatever weapon you wish to use by picking up the ammo and holding your preferred weapon. There's a couple sporadically fun moments, like using your melee electrical hand to kill wave after wave of dog-like creatures, but these are few and far between. The final area is a big pile of trees with enemies shooting you through the trees. At this point I feel that the developer had to know that this was extremely frustrating and it was deliberate, which is kind of disturbing. Other confusing things include scrolling up or down on the mouse moves the weapon wheel in the same direction regardless (A problem that could've been fixed with a single line of code) the game saying you need a "target score" of 1,000,000 at the end without any way of actually getting that score (I think it's actually impossible) and enemy door spawns that force you to quickly back through the door you came in so you have to time the door movement to make sure you don't get instakilled. Oh and the navigation is atrocious because everything looks exactly the same. Every time you enter a new room there is a beeping noise and some woman's voice mumbling about an objective. She always says the same thing and while I can't make it out it doesn't matter because all you do is kill all the enemies and proceed to the exit. Some of the levels start with "Allies" as background objects just standing there while you attempt to kill enemies in front of them. And objects like laser barriers can stop you from shooting enemies while they can shoot at you without any real reason as to why.
There is a part in the game where you need to blow up an orange barrel to proceed. But these aren't explosive barrels, just regular barrels. Normal video game logic would tell you that shooting orange barrels blows them up, but not these barrels. In fact, you need an explosive to blow up the regular barrel. it makes no sense.
I'm probably being too harsh on an indie FPS but this is one of the most frustrating games I have ever played. It's a shame because the music is nice, the game feels kind of like an FPS Metal Slug and the overworld is like Megaman. A lot of promise for a completely broken and nearly unplayable experience.

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Just like other reviewers, i agree this game is too hard to be old school without polish/optimization for game released on 2016. Just play Wolfenstein 3D which dated better than this game.

-Los bichos te ven y te pegan (prácticamente son como snipers,no erran una bala), casi que ni se mueven por lo que no se pueden agrear.
-Si usas un mouse con DPI, deberás jugarlo en 250 DPI y configurar unas cosas que vienen en guía, para poderlo jugar decentemente.
-Todas las armas usan balas diferentes,pero los bichos solo dropean un solo tipo de balas. Solo en nivel 7 u 8 para adelante, me di cuenta que las balas que agarras son del arma que estás usando en ese momento,a excepción de la primera que es melee e infinita.
-En el nivel 3, para encontrar la salida yo tuve que destruir un barril( solo se destruyen con la bazooka, encontrada en el mismo nivel)
.Gameplay:
-Durísimo, los bichos apenas te ven un hombro ya te están bajando vida. Muchas veces no sabes de donde te pegan, por lo que uno intenta confiar en el sonido. El sonido tampoco ayuda, al parecer el personaje tiene problemas auditivos, porque parece que siempre te disparan del lado contrario a donde realmente esta el enemigo.
-Del nivel 1-12 o 13 es bastante jugable,una vez le vayas agarrando la mano. Nivel 14-15 que son los últimos son extremadamente rotos, demasiados bichos que te pegan de todos lados,y a su vez te dan pocos pack de vida.
- La variedad de los bichos, si mal no conte suman 5
- No hay otra cosa que abrir puertas y encontrar la puerta final en cada nivel
-Los bichos te llenan de plomos a través de ciertas paredes,plantas,etc...y muchas veces también fuera del rango de visión
-Historia prácticamente una hoja al principio del juego,...sin embargo muchas veces en los shooters no importa tanto,dependerá del usuario que desee jugar este juego.
.Porqué lo recomiendo a pesar de todo lo roto que está este juego?
- La música onda scifi está muy buena...por lo menos en la mayoría de niveles
-Tiene cromos, lo cuales prácticamente vendiendo 2 o 3 recuperas el valor que te salio comprar el juego
-El juego es muy barato
-Dificultad elevada, salvo el nivel 14 y 15 que ya es otro nivel de dificultad, prácticamente extrema

I pretty much knew what I was buying. An intentionally retro raster-based 2D shooter ala Wolf 3-D. Apparently, the vast majority of the kids in these reviews dislike this game because it is actually developed as an old game without the
bells and whistles that they are used to having.
Well, for those of us who did play these games on our 386 machines back in 1991, this game rocks. I've done Level 1 so far and it is perfect. It contains all the usual issues you would expect from a renderer like this but the gameplay is fair. Ammo is plentiful, enemies are not bullet sponges and health restores a decent amount.
A great homage to the past!

This is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I hate it so much. I feel nauseous after playing this for 20 minutes. I feel like I'm playing a doom clone, but I'm stuck looking at the screen from 4 inches away. No graphic settings, locked framerate, awful sensitivity, only sound options. Game is so damn ugly too. The monsters look like a pile of ♥♥♥♥ and a default wolf3d enemy. The music is a 10 second loop of what sounds like stolen doom music. Why.

it physically hurts giving this game a negative review but by jesus its so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad. And I love boomer shooters, my account is littered with them, but this game learned ♥♥♥♥ all from its predecessors and marks a 10 step relapse in what made those games fun in the first place. First of all I had to go into the games folder itself to fix a bug where my mouse was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sensitive that I spun anytime I flicked slightly to either side, literally making the game impossible. It wasnt a huge deal but I still think its a devs job to make sure their game ACTUALLY FUNCTIONS before putting it out to market, not to mention it was released in 2016 and its been 6 years. Furthermore the further you get into this game the more you realise that it has nothing new to add, no fresh ideas, no unique things going for it. Im not saying every game needs to be revolutionary but to add literally nothing to the table is really setting yourself up for failure. Enemies are copy and pasted, every weapon is just EVERY OTHER WEAPON in every other game (Pistol, Assault Rifle, Double barreled shotgun which ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks, laser pistol, etc) The only unique weapon I liked was our Melee, which is a cool lightning hand, unfortunately it becomes useless by level 2 but by golly one level of fun was sure great compared to the entire rest of this game. All that being said I wish the devs well and am saddened this game turned out so bad.

Игрушка прикольная, немножко всплакнул вспомнив Wolfenstein 3D. Сюжет это конечно ♥♥♥♥♥♥, но да ладно. Геймплей прикольный, музыка прикольная, места занимает 10 мб всего. Все что нужно, чтобы после работы с полторашечкой пивка позалипать в незамысловатую игру 2-4 часа.

- странная убогая камера
- слишком резкая мышь =} резкие смазанные повороты камеры , решается повортами со стрелочек но ♥♥♥♥ стрелять с клавы нельзя
- одинаковые текстуры , даже в Вульф 3д их было больше на уровень . Как следствие ореентироваться Овер сложно
- не понятки с уроном . Сложно понять то ли в тебя стреляет враг с другого конца карты то ли за спиной тебя кусает жаба .
До кучи добавим :
- Отсутствие потдержки гейпада
- отсутствие каких-либо графических настроек
- Отсутствие переназначения клавиши
- Отсутствие возможности настройки чувствительности мыши
- Отсутствие полноценной игры без мыши .
Что имеем в итоге ?
Игра в которой в гейплее заложено превозмогание самой игры, а не отстрел противников , как мы могли подумать , с прикольно отрисованой ретро графикой , без какой-либо потдержки от разработчиков и вменяемого сюжета , а также и озвучки . Это скорее не игра а треножер внимательности .
Кстаааати . Она отказалась запускаться на моём ноуте . Возможно виной тому старое железо , возможно ей не понравился видеоадаптер встроенный чипсет , возможно ей не хватило каких-то компонентов которых разработчики не удасужились добавить в комплект , возможно ей не нравится 10 , я хз . Logo, a ideia de [b]Merger 3D[/b] não é original, mudando basicamente o tipo de personagem e ambiente, um é no espaço e este no coração da floresta. O que mais me impressiona é que Blake Stone é de 1993 e apresenta uma jogabilidade mais dura, afinal ele já é bem datado e usando o mesmo motor que Wolfenstein 3D.
Agora Merger 3D, apresenta similaridades na jogabilidade travada, com adesão do mouse não responsivo que mais atrapalha do que ajuda, e não podemos deixar este jogo passar, pois ele é de 2016, 23 anos de evolução no gênero e não apresenta sequer melhorias!
E é isso que nos é apresentado, um jogo que imita história e jogabilidade de um jogo que se passa no futuro, apresentando problemas que deveriam ficar em seu passado. Letzteres könnte stimmen, wenn man das, was man im ersten Level zu hören bekommt, als Maßstab nimmt. Ersteres hingegen lässt sich so ohne weitere gar nicht feststellen …
…denn viel weiter als bis zum ersten Level werden viele Spieler gar nicht kommen, da sich von Anfang an die technischen Probleme häufen. Das wohl größte: Die Steuerung lässt sich nicht ändern und das vorgegebene Schema schließt die Maus mit ein – nur ist die Maussteuerung bei vielen Spielern komplett im Eimer. Hinzu kommen weitere kleine und größere Ärgernisse (wie etwa das äußerst schmale FOV), die hier dem Rahmen sprengen würden. Nach unten hin abgerundet wird das Ganze mit planlosem Level Design und unfairer Gegner-KI. Zumindest von den technischen Problemen scheint der Entwickler auch zu wissen und hat Abhilfe versprochen – oder alternativ mit »nicht behebbaren Engine-Problemen« argumentiert. Die Statements stammen übrigens von 2016. Da kann man sich ausmalen, wie viel da noch passieren wird.

Do you like Wolfenstein 3D? Do things like depth perception and render distance frighten and confuse you? Are you still upset that DOS is no longer the dominant platform on PCs?
I have great news for you.
Seriously, this feels like a Wolf 3D clone, and not an amazing one. It has all of the good and the bad that came with that. There is no ECWolf to save you from the lower resolution and lack of a map. It is difficult to tell when an enemy is approaching you and where shots are coming from. However, I find it extremely difficult to complain much for something that cost me less than a pack of gum.
It's pretty janky and I would fully expect to find something like this from the early 90's. The only difference is the art style that was popular at the time and the fact that the controls are definitely modern, and not something you would have seen until the Quake era. I do like that the mouse look is just as difficult as it was in the past.
This is a thorough retread of an old shooter style game, and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys the simplicity of Wolf 3D, although in less polished form.

Os desenvolvedores tentaram fazer um jogo iguais aos clássicos como wolfenstein, blake stone, e outros jogos da velha guarda, porém falharam muito, primeiro não tentaram fazer um jogo no estilo velha guarda e sim um jogo feito nos anos 90, não há opções de configurações exceto pelo volume, e os controles são terríveis, não há opções para alterar os controles então você é obrigado a jogar com os controles padrões que não funcionam direito, o mouse é terrível, não importa quantos DPI eu configure o mouse parece que tá com 10 DPI, não tem resposta rápida, pra pegar munição é necessário que você esteja com a arma correspondente, simplesmente horrível, péssima mecânica e jogabilidade. Esse jogue não vale nem de graça R$6,29 é muito caro para esse jogo, caso ganhe de graça recuse.

Made using the raycast game making engine, it's exactly what you'd expect. Basically, a Wolfenstein clone. If that's what you're looking for then this is your game.
Pixel art is good. Sound and music are good. Simple to pick up and play for a few minutes here and there and for getting it on sale for .50 cents, I'd say I absolutely got a good deal.
"Merger 3D" ist ein Retro-First-Person-Shooter im Stile der frühen 90er.
Wir schreiben das Jahr 2048. Bio-Terroristen wollen mit Hilfe von Experimenten eine neue Evolutionsstufe erreichen, was natürlich dazu führt, daß Massen an Viechern und Mutanten von uns umgenietet werden wollen.
Dafür hetzen wir durch 15 Level, verwenden von der Elektroklaue bis zum Raketenwerfer einige unterschiedliche Waffen und sammeln Munition und Health Packs ein.
Wer die Shooter aus den frühen 90ern wie "Wolfenstein 3D" kennt, der weiß wie "Merger 3D" funktioniert. Im Prinzip genauso wie die ersten Vertreter ihres Genres. Dummerweise macht "Merger 3D" nur so ziemlich alles schlechter als sein legendäres Vorbild. Die Level sind unintuitiv und wenig kreativ gebaut, die Gegner sind entweder uninteressant oder nervig und die Steuerung ist merkwürdig schwammig. Das extrem kleine Field of View war schon im Original winzig, allerdings waren da die Level für das eingeschränkte Field of View gebaut. In "Merger 3D" passiert es einem ständig, daß man plötzlich von der Seite oder von hinten angegriffen wird, ohne zu ahnen, wo der Gegner überhaupt hergekommen ist.
Und gegen Ende wird das Game wirklich schwer, so daß man ein Level weniger durch Skill als durch Auswendiglernen schaffen kann. Das mag Retro sein, es ist aber vor allem wenig spaßig.
Zudem hat das Spiel die völlig bescheuerte Mechanik, daß man immer nur Munition für die Waffe aufnimmt, die man gerade ausgerüstet hat. Da die Elektroklaue keine Munition hat, können wir, wenn wir diese ausgerüstet haben, auch keine Munition aufnehmen.
Die Grafik ist schlechter als die des Vorbilds, die Soundeffekte sind piefig und die Musik ist nicht nur anstrengend, sie paßt auch stilistisch hinten und vorne nicht zum Stil des Spiels.
Nicht, daß wir uns mißverstehen: "Merger 3D" ist kein totaler Schrott. Man kann es schon spielen und vielleicht sogar bedingten Spaß haben. Es ist nur in allen Belangen unterdurchschnittlich und schwächer als seine Vorbilder.

Un tentativo abbastanza blando di creare un gioco, sulla base di quelli che negli anni 90 hanno posto le basi degli fps.
Non è sicuramente il peggiore che ho visto fino ad ora , ma mi ha dato l'idea di già visto e rivisto.
Nota negativa sono i livelli che ho trovato molto dispersivi.

this game is bad, this is coming from someone who loves old school fps. The first level looks like someone vomited all over the screen. I know I am complaining about something that is only 3 bucks but its not even worth that. If you want an old school fps i feel like there a ton of better options.

Ну что же. Поиграл я в эту жалкую пародию Wolfenstein 3D. Всё сходство в визуале, в остальном же игра ужасна. Управление страшно топорное. Баланса в игре нет, если враги вас видят, то обязательно попадут в вас, а зачастую, получается так, что ты не видишь врага, а он тебя видит и стабильно снимает ХП. На первом уровне текстуры джунглей сливаются с врагами, узнаёшь о них тогда, когда вас уже схватят за зад. Хорошо хоть дальше уровни идут коридорные, как в Wolfenstein 3D. А ещё раздражало то, что боеприпасы к оружию вы сможете взять тогда, когда у вас в руках будет соответствующий для него ствол. Это нормально, нет? В общем, убогий шутер, пытающийся выехать на ностальгии. Не покупайтесь на трейлер, ибо вам пяти минут хватит, чтобы понять что из себя представляет эта игра. Единственное о чём можно сказать положительно, это о музыке, но она, естественно, не исправляет всей ситуации.
Eski Doom veya Wolfienstein oyunun farklı bir versiyonu diyebilirim. Retro yapmak için belki denenebilir ama malesef mekan tasarımı çok başarısız. Oyun tek düzelikte kalıyor. 2048 yılında biyoterörizme maruz kalmış dünyayı temizlemeye çalışıyoruz. Bu etki ile ortaya çıkmış bir takım yaratıklar bulunmakta. Yer yer bu yaratıklarla bazende insanlarla çarpışıyoruz. Dediğim gibi çok uzun soluklu sarmayan bir oyun.
The gun's were fun and satisfying to use, the pixel art was good, the sounds and music were good, their could of been a little bit less of the fast melee based enemies since they were really the only annoying enemy most of the time. I do wish it kept the menus, cutscenes, and title/menu music from the origonal version "Synthes 3-D" though, but i do like this version has a melee weapon. Overall It's a good Wolfenstein styled game.
When I read the negative reviews for this game I understand why I hate people. All you do is complain because you are insecure and hate what you don't understand (or simply suck at) and everyone else around it pays for it. Now there is most likely no sequel for this game all because of a bunch of morons who think the number of in game buttons are not enough to justify their $150 gaming keyboards ..|.,

For some reason, the game refuses to let me fire a gun.
I feel like that might be a slight issue in a game solely about shooting stuff.

I absolutely love the shooters from the first era like Catacombs 3D, Wolfenstein 3D, Blakestone and so one. The developers of this game wanted to recreate the feeling of these games, but honestly, they failed miserably. Let's brake it down to the core elements:
The movement is realy uncomfortable. Strafing is much faster as moving forward, turning is too sensitive (yeah, if you don't have a mouse with adjustable dpi settings, you will turn 360 degrees with the slihtest mouse movement) and NOTHING is adjustable in the game. It's something that should have been seen on the first test runs.
The graphics would be very nice, the art is realy good at representing the early 90's, but the color palet ruins the visibility in the game. If you use such a low resolution for the game, then you should make the einviroment and the enemies somewhat different. Most of the time you can't recognize anything on the screen. The sprites and textures are realy well drawn, but everything together... it's a pastel mess. The engine has also some texture warping problem. Gees, this was been already solved in 92's Wolf 3D... .
The gameplay is the third nail in the coffin. All of the enemies have hitscan attacks and they don't miss... . They can even shoot you through corners. Health pick-ups are all over the place, but if you are nor fast enough you will be shot or ripped to death before you can touch a medkit. You also can't pick up ammo if you are not holding the right weapon. Seriously, what kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is that?
The game could have been good. Somneone took time and have tried to create a retro game, but at the end, it's not even 0,47 € worth (Winter Sale 2018).

Keeps crashing. using the stupid FPS engine i bet. infamous for that problem alone. pixel graphics are nice, but thats it. everything about this sucks.

It's very similar with Wolfenstein 3D,for me the graphics are very good(if you like old school games) and it served the purpose to bring back some nostalgia.

Harika bir atari havası veriyor ben sevdim. Tabi atari oyunu tarzı, pixel vs... yi andırıyor bana göre.
If you run out of ammo and have to use your melee weapon, you can't pick up ammo. The gun has to be wielded to pick up ammo.

Merger 3d is a maze fps, the weapons are really awesome in this game, and compared to others maze fps games, this one have a lot more content, more levels and more guns, the last 3 levels are really hard to complete but the universal ammo helps a lot

Il y a de bonnes idées, le côté retro est sympa mais au final le manque de maniabilité et quelques bugs font que le jeu est vite trop dur mais pas pour les bonnes raisons
