Non c'è molto da dire, siete una palla con un abilità secondaria e con un arsenale discreto di armi a disposizione in giro per il livello.
Cosa si fa durante i livelli? sali sui bottoni per levare la barriera che vi blocca il passaggio, eliminate i nemici, e... nient'altro... di una noia unica.
L'unico pro e che puoi giocarlo in cooperativa con amici, e sicuramente la modalità multiplayer riuscirà a divertirvi un minimo, ma ahimè è un gioco mediocre in single player.

I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game, picked my character and world and started playing but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories.

Recently finished this game. Apart from a few balancing issues this is a surprisingly fun little sort-of top-down shooter.

5 bucks for this game may feel like a lot, and considering that you can finish this game in under 3 hours, it is on the edge of "Is this worth it?". I would say yes and no:

It is worth it if: You have friends to play co-op with, or you are a big fan of guns-blazing top-down shooters. It is 5 bucks after all; don't buy a bag of chips and a soda and boom; You have a free game.

It is not worth it if: You play the single-player and single-player only, and are only remotely interested in top-down shooters. This game offers nothing new that hasn't already been done in its genre, it just provides a nice game.

Personally, I would buy this on a sale, but I do not regret my purchase.

[h1]Once a fun little game[/h1]
It is one of those games which I always regretted for not playing more when it was popular. I remembered it fondly and it certainly was fun playing this game with my friends in CO-OP. Unfortunately, I had waited for too long and this game is dead.

[h1]What it has rolling for it?[/h1]
Back when I was in high school there was a lot fewer original games. I was amazed by the fact that your character is a rolling ball and you have a third person camera shooter with special abilities and classes. Game felt unique and amazing. It certainly was unique for the time as there were quite few mainstream games which were this creative in times when Team Fortress 2 could be considered fresh, innovating, groundbreaking with its own classes and cartoonish graphics.

Game had significant player-base, mostly due to strong console presence. It prospered during XBOX 360 days and was very popular game on XBOX Live Arcade. I do not know if there was a cross over with PC community, but servers were teeming with life. Game was a hit, everyone enjoyed playing it until...it just died. Game died as console gamers moved a generation ahead and developers never shown an interest in further supporting and developing their own game.

[h1]Rolling Down the Hill[/h1]
I do have few good memories with this game and I did enjoy playing this game in LAN with my friends. Unfortunately, I will have to advise other players from playing this game. The main attraction - multiplayer is dead. Other game modes either feel unfinished or are just plain bad.

[b][i]Tedious and grindy campaign[/i][/b]
[*]Campaign is nothing to write home about. Story is nonsensical and it is unclear what we are exactly doing from mission to mission. It is just gleefully killing enemies and then we must acquire some super duper plot device which in truth gives us anything we want. It is just a terrible plot which goes nowhere which anybody could write.

Campaign itself is too long and tedious. Later on it just spams you with enemies. Every damn room is filled with bullet spongy enemies which makes this game annoying to beat. Initially there is a small element of secret hunting, but levels are linear, plot is terrible and levels drag on with bullet spongy enemies.

Game has little variety in its own enemies or gameplay. At one point I thought that game mixed it up a little when I was teleported supposedly on my own on an ice planet. I went to explore it and it was refreshing to fight wildlife or rather simpler enemies for once. However, quickly unpolished nature of this game showed up when my Madball rolled on spikes and I was forces to go all the way back. This is when I discovered that I did not needed to do any of that and my comrades were just around the corner. I tried to make game fun for nothing. I tried to collect keys for nothing.

[b][i]Movement Pushback[/i][/b]
[*]This game has a strange sensation. Your character is seemingly pushed backwards when it hits some surfaces. This creates an awful, unpolished feeling. What I missed in this game were actual rolling mechanics. There is no such thing in this game, your character loses their momentum instantly, it can't speed up nor even heaviest Madballs have an issue in changing direction. However, when they hit random terrain elements in a map, they can instantly be stopped. It seems to be a bug where engine registers total stop of a character when you expect to still have sideways momentum and to keep on rolling.

[h1]Issues with gameplay[/h1]
This game has countless smaller issues which adds up to game feeling unfinished, unpolished, cheap. They could be hints what company should improve if they ever would want to create a sequel. These points are also illustrated in my video.

[b][i]Sliding Mechanics[/i][/b]
[*]Surfaces in this game have no friction. You are free to slide around terrain. It adds up to unsatisfactory movement which characters in this game has. Rolling resistance, sliding in some areas, these things could had significantly lightened up this game and made it more unique than it is.

[b][i]Confusing Score Screen[/i][/b]
[*]As it says in the title, score which you get at the end of a level is hard to decipher. Sometimes you get no points for killing enemies. There are no details explaining why you scored as well as you did.

[b][i]Cheating enemy movement[/i][/b]
[*]Enemy seems to cheat in this game. It can go through impossible to travel terrain. This can create quite frustrating experiences in the campaign where enemies will simply roll through unreachable terrain out out of your line of fire. One time enemy just rolled from the map and was impossible to reach. Annoyingly, it was a part where I had to kill all enemies in an arena. This forces me to restart game to a previous check point.

[b][i]Glitchy camera[/i][/b]
[*]Camera in this game is not a best and constantly can glitch through objects.

[b][i]Poor Autolock[/i][/b]
[*]Autolock in this game is quite terrible. It fails dealing properly with elevations. This makes firing enemies below or above you annoying. Especially since later on in a game there are plenty bullet spongy, fast enemy flyers.

[b][i]Poor Jumpads[/i][/b]
[*]How do you mess something like this up? This game has jumpads which fail to elevate you and you end up jumping up and down.

[b][i]Interuptive Cutscenes[/i][/b]
[*]Throughout the campaign you will constantly be interrupted with cutscenes. You will be in a firefight one moment and the next everything will stop for game to show you what has changed.

[h1]End of the Hill[/h1]
In the end there is no real reason why you should play this game today. It is a dead game with nothing to show for outside of its multiplayer. Its single player aspect is exceedingly mediocre. There is nothing interesting in it and while game can potentially be fun with upwards of three players, you could say that to any game. It was a good trip to the past, getting to know a game which I always regretted not playing more during its prime.

Most people have never heard of this game, which is a pity, because it is very good. It isn't very long, but it is worth its $5 asking price.

You can play the full game with another player in online coop, which is by far the best way to play. The multiplayer is dead, it being so old and so ignored, but If you've got a pal to play with, get this.

With satisfying explosions and a fairly good variety in level design, the gameplay is not at all bad. Unfortunately, for me, the levels are way too long and the camera movement gives me motion sickness after about 15 minutes.

There are, of course, better games of this kind out there in 2021: Assault Android Cactus, Nex Machina and Blue Rider to name but a few.

I really liked this game. It is odd too, because it is completely outside what I normally play. It was bright, colorful, interesting and fast paced with multiple paths to victory. It was well beta tested and I had no problems with ragged edges or black holes...just fun. I never got bored and played it at least five or six times through. I can definitely recommend this one if you like crazy shooters with just a touch of puzzling thrown in.

Für weniger als 5€ bzw für Geld was kurzfristig einem Freude bereitet(eis, schoko...alkohol) kann man schon zuschlagen.
Das Spiel macht kurze Zeit Spaß allerdings wird es schon schnell langweilig.
Man schaltet neue Areale weiter, schießt sich durch andere Augäpfel und dann kommt der nächste Areal.
Gab beim 1ten Level glaub ich schon zu wenig was mich bewegte den 2ten Level zu spielen.
Dazu kommt dass es keine Speicherpunkte gibt: In Level 1 aufgehört und am Anfang des Lvl1 wieder begonnen.

Joguei só o modo campanha e vale a pena se você estiver a fim de curtir um jogo mais simples. Foi como descobrir um jogo desconhecido do PS1, mas com a opção de melhorar a resolução. Se não estiver nessa pegada passe longe.

Fine for the price tag . Though no one plays this game now in 2020, so multiplayer is dead. 10 not-so challenging levels where you control a unstable rolling ball shooting other balls making them blast to bits and pieces. If you are up for this amazing showcase and bursting balls, unconcerned about the plot and dwelling too much into intricate details, this game is for you.

#1.It's boring after a few minutes

#4.Most old school action games are way more fun then this

The Bottom Line -

I would not call it a shooter at all.That is like saying when Mario from Super Mario can shoot fire balls then that is a shooter.That is like calling Mega Man a shooter.

I was never that into old school action games.I could play them for 15 minutes but then I would get bored.This game is just like that for me only a little bit worse.

If you can play old school action games for hours than this game is for you.If you can't than this game is going to get really boring really fast.

This is a simple but enjoyable 3D shootemup/marble madness hybrid. Control a giant eyeball with a gun, roll around and shoot enemy balls. There's a campaign mode with some interesting levels and boss fights as well. There's also a modest variety of weapons.

The gameplay is slick and despite the game being released 11 years ago, they put some effort into the graphics design, so it doesn't look aged. There's 4K support and a reasonable set of graphics options. For fans of shootemups this is one of the better ones and would be worth picking up on sale.

A decent top-down-view shooter with surprisingly good mechanics. Simple graphics and the game is VERY non-demanding on your PC. Not very expensive, basically pennies when on sale.

Overall a nice grab if you're desperate for some non-demanding carnage. Just make sure you bring a buddy if you wanna try co-op or multiplayer - the servers are pretty much barren at this point.

Madballs in....Babo: Invasion is a terrible name, it's also a fairly competent top-down shooter.
You are these spherical creatures organized in 2 factions that you choose from. Madballs is apparently some kind of brand so maybe there is a backstory there I guess. Anyway, you can unlock various abilities per character through game play.

This game really was a lot of fun the 1st few years it came out, there was a lot of activity from the developers to encourage people to play with community events and free cosmetic DLC if you completed in-game objections within a certain time frame. Co-op was the best part here at the time with 4 player support. Vs was there but it was kind of boring.

I wouldn't say it was anything amazing at the time but it was a cheap game for a fun co-op experience. There is a story but doesn't really make any sense, maybe it was a tie-in game to something, who knows. However the game didn't seem like it sold a ton of copies and what community was there slowly moved on. Now you can still play co-op and vs, you'll just have to likely join a steam group or organize with other players in the steam forums. I'm not sure I can really suggest new players to pick this up. The co-op experiences you can get from other games now makes this look archaic in comparison but it's fun to visit every few years or so for returning players. This game really does have a terrible name, but it also gets a nostalgic thumbs up.

小时候无意中找到的游戏，玩过盗版的，最后居然在steam上找到了，补票。
游戏内容其实很简单，人物和武器的设计都很不错，关卡流程也还可以。
作为一个“小游戏”来说，总体不错。

最后补充一下，没简体中文有点蛋疼，但如果不看剧情的话貌似没啥影响。

From the begining the story didn't grab me. The movement of the madballs felt so good it could have made for an interesting platformer. They leaned to far into the action.

In its heyday, Madballs had a really fun multiplayer with a multitude of different game modes and character classes. Unfortunately, these days you will likely only be able to play the single player campaign, and maybe the survival mode, as no one plays online anymore. So unless you have friends to play with, I would only recommend Madballs for its solo gameplay, and I think the price tag is fair for that alone, even if the campaign is not exactly groundbreaking in any way. The story is pretty generic, the game is pretty short and way too easy, and doesn't really require switching weapons or characters as much as it should, but it is still fun and still worth purchasing.

Wasn't a bad game but not worth the price tag and community is dead. If you can get it on sale and play with friends then it's worth $5 but otherwise I would skip this one.

Pretty good top-down view shooter, plays well with keyboard + mouse, multiplayer was fun when the game was active, but the campaign is ok. Its ok for 5 euros to play with friends, but definitely a great buy when on sale.

A worthy successor to Babo Violent 2, Madballs in Babo Invasion is an incredible top down shooter with many multiplayer modes and maps. Owners of the game rarely play online, but if you're looking for a good game for a LAN party, here's a top pick.

There's also a story mode for 1-4 players

This game is pretty fun, offering a decent story line and fun multi-player combat. It's extremely surprising that so few people have ever played this. The campaign is fun, but the unfortunate element is that there are hardly any people playing this game, which makes the multiplayer boring unless you have a bunch of friends.

TLDR: Improper Xbox360 pad support. Mmarble-routing topdown shooter hybrid in which you roll around and shoot at balls while they shoot back. Insufficient sound design.

The music selection is rather weak often being reduced to silence or a short track of electric guitar. The sound effects were not too grating. The game had resolution options but the Xbox360 pad was not fullly functional out of the box and I could not control the character, I did not bother testing keybinds. Screen rotation with the mouse was too fast and was disorienting, the twinstick targeting reticle felt very floaty and moved in a strange manner. The enemy design and protag design quickly becomes played out and no longer visually stimulating or amusing. The voice acting featured hints that this is an action game aimed at boys 8-12. There seemed to be some variety of weapons but they were all locked in the campaign and unlocking them was tedious. You could not switch on the fly to anything you want and were saddled by whatever the campaign gave you for that section. Enemy A.I. was fairly simpllistic and the game posed lilttle to no challenge. Death usually came about from getting lazy with the ball navigation and rolling down a Z level on spikes. Navigating levels is annoying because you cannot jump and often have to loop around to find bridges to go up a platform. The game looks understandably dated. I do not believe it would be possible to convince anyone to play this with you, even if you did it would be twice the waste of time. Removed for declutter

Um bom jogo, me divertir bastante apesar do online ser morto a não ser que você jogue com amigos.
A campanha tem uma dificuldade crescente e da para voltar tudo para pegar os segredos e tudo mais. Vale a pena, me divertir muito e claro que as bolinhas rolantes ai são mais bonitas que qualquer soldado de um outro jogo de tiro básicão genérico por ai.

Madballs In Babo: Invasion's a quaint third person action shooter. It's gameplay, takes be back to the 16 bit era, when games tested cognitive ability. Not to mention, before I learned to juggle. I'm not immplying this title's for juggler, but a group of mean balls and big guns is purpose for social adjustment. I enjoy this title none the less.

눈알 슈팅 게임.

눈알이 구르면서 총을 쏩니다.
여기저기 숨겨진 요소들을 찾아내기도 하고,
땅에서 튀어나오거나 기습해오는 적들을 처치하기도 합니다.

에임에 따라서 화면이 회전하며, 좌우 회전만 가능.
이로 인해서인지 살짝 멀미 기운이 느껴지기도 합니다.
울렁울렁거리는 속.

특정 조건을 만족해야 총/캐릭터/기술의 락이 해제됩니다.
스테이지 1부터 총기들이 등장하는데, 기대감으로 가지고 다가갔다가
락걸린 걸 보고 시무룩해져서 돌아가기도....

생각보다 어렵지 않지만, 속이 울렁거려서 오래하긴 힘든 게임.
아, 점프 안됩니다. 없어요.
