Lily’s Day Off is the first entry in the Lilypad Lily game series and it certainly shows. This game feels experimental, dated, and “cheap”, though oddly charming at the same time. Amidst the royalty-free music and simple, cute character, there’s not really too much going on for it aside from the weirdly random stories. It’s interesting how each route plays out so differently compared to each other, though in a way it can end up feeling so random resulting with either you love it or hate it type of experience. I’d say that this game feels more like a quality-ish ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ where you can’t really predict how the decisions will play out and in return, you’ve no idea as to how each route will end.
Despite all of that, one of my biggest gripes with the game is the price, $5 for a game that can be 100% in <30 minutes feel bit too much, if the game is instead free then I’d have no issue with it whatsoever as it’s a good entry into the Lilypad Lily series. Alongside that, not having a save system does feel bit off-putting as well. Sure, the game is ultra short, but having to restart the whole game from the start just to choose a different choice gets annoying after a while. Getting the true ending is also pretty zzzz too since there’s not really any different requirements to reach it, you just choose your choices and get it which makes the true ending feels no different than any of the other 15 or so endings.
Regardless, while the game is certainly not for everyone, it does do a good job at introducing you to the Lilypad Lily series via showing you the fun(ny) antics and quirky flow of the stories that are certainly present in future installments. I just wish that the price would be lowered by a lot (if not make it free altogether) as the price-to-content ratio is certainly bit messed up. Even then, it’s still a game that’s worth playing especially if you want to experience or have experienced Lily’s Night Off which in my opinion feels a lot more polished and well-produced due to how much it have improved upon Lily’s Day Off, Lily’s Day Off walked so Lily’s Night Off can run aah moment. If you’re still on the fence about purchasing the game, then I’d recommend doing a couple of routes and if the humour doesn’t really appeal to you, then you can just refund it.

Okay, now that we've gotten that out of way, I love this game. I remember in 2018 when I played this for the first time on my old android phone as a dumb kid. I absolutely loved it and played hundreds of times even after knowing the story by heart and playing through it every chance I could. Naturally, I soon forgot about it over time and it didn't cross my mind until I saw it while looking at visual novels to buy.
I bought it, then bought the second game... and fell in love all over again.
Now, pros and cons? Pros: Its a lovely visual novel with interesting endings and a cute main character, I know no one has played this since 2019 but if you happen to see this game then I'd recommend that you buy it and see for yourself if you like Lily-chan and her cute outfits. Cons: It's a short game, about an hour and thirty minutes long depending on if you want to 100% it and read all dialogue. I wish different endings gave you different outfits to unlock as well but outfits are free from the start.
In the end, its great if you're a game collector who likes perfect games, if you're a visual novel lover, or if you just simply like cute girls who happen to be famous idols. I would definitely recommend you try it out!

This game is a wild ride, I laughed out loud several times at the crazy twists! It felt like I was in the middle of a strange improv show where my opposite was going completely out of pocket, but it was fun! There's some anime tropes, so if those bother you, don't play.
Auch dieser Teil von der Lily Reihe war sehr unterhaltsam, auch wenn ich diesen eher ein wenig mehr sogar Richtung Horror als Komödie sehe. Natürlich ist es total abgedreht und teilweise überspitzt und sicherlich nicht vorhersehbar. Aber die Schreibweise hier ist deutlich ernster gehalten als in Lily's Night Off. Aber wirklich eine Ernsthafte Visual Novel sollte nicht erwartet werden. Anders als in Lily's Night Off bildet sich hier tatsächlich ein Story Gerüst im Hintergrund und nach allen Enden macht das Spiel und Story wirklich Sinn. Weshalb ich diesen Teil tatsächlich einen Ticken besser fand. Die Spielzeit ist aber mit ca. 60 Minuten auch kürzer. Zudem Sind auch weniger Variationen bei den Charakterportraits vorhanden. Ja, es gibt verschiedene Outfits, was ich in Teil 2 nicht gefunden hatte, aber dafür fehlen solche Extras wie Bazooka, Abschlussbilder und so. Die Musik ist auch hier gelungen.
Bin auf diese Spiele auf Steam tatsächlich nur wegen der kostenlosen Variante auf Android hier drauf gestoßen und um ehrlich zu sein, ich habe gerne das Geld gegeben für die Unterstützung. Zumal 4€ absolut nicht zu viel sind. Die eine Stunde war ich bestens unterhalten, warum ich es auch empfehlen kann. Wer "geizig" ist kann sich Lily's Day/Night Off auch auf Android laden für umsonst, aber bin mir relativ sicher das die beiden Versionen sich unterschieden haben.
Kurz zusammengefasst, kann ich das Spiel selbst für 4€ empfehlen. Wer nicht soviel zahlen will, das Lily's uwu Off Bundle gibt es oft im Sale für ca. 2€, wo spätestens beruhigt zugegriffen werden kann. Erwartet eine unterhaltsame, überspitzte Geschichte mit leichten Horror Anleihen und als Spieler/-in wird keine Enttäuschung aufkommen.
Als extra würde ich mir eine deutsche Übersetzung wünschen.

A quirky little VN with lots of endings but each path is only a few minutes long. Completely switching up the genre and plot has each path feeling very fresh even after you’ve already seen a dozen or so.
i read fast, so took me thirty minutes to see everything. its a silly game, not psychological horror or horror but if youre looking for some cheesy murder or insane asylum endings theres a couple of those. good way to kill some time waiting for my food to cook but definitely wouldnt pay 4 quid lol. got for 1 pound on sale and is worth about that XD
not recommended just because almost a fiver for 30 minutes is a bit of a rip off when pocket mirror was about 8 quid and i played that for about 30 hours

Es un buen juego
Lily's Day Off isn't a "bad" game. I mean, it's got a paper doll for a main character, blurred stock backgrounds, and the best of Kevin MacLeod, but it's cheap, not flawed. Honestly, it's more weird than anything. That said, I got a few chuckles out of the premise and wild plot turns, enhanced by some silly dialogue. It's iffy, but also kind of funny that the age-ambiguous main character is perving over a middle schooler who looks like an elementary schooler. The dress-up options push the joke into questionable territory, but the outrageous, nonsexual scenarios help to defuse the awkwardness.
However, let's not kid ourselves, there's barely any game here, certainly not enough to be worth paying for. It took me exactly 30 minutes to read the entire thing. It's not exceptionally witty, just mildly amusing, so I'd say it's worth a dollar at most, and that's pushing it. Not even the secret menu's max-level of click sparkles are worth a purchase.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

From the royalty free music, to the Photoshop filtered backgrounds, to the length of each playthrough being around 4 minutes long... I simply cannot recommend this game. Maybe for less than a dollar or free, but I just don’t see the appeal. The writing is very direct and simple, the art isn’t anything interesting, the background music is annoying, the game lacks any settings that mainstream visual novels have, there really isn’t any redeeming factors.
This comes across as a game devs first attempt at making a game, something they would upload for free. From that point of view, I don’t want to be overly harsh, but at this price to effort ratio I feel like you’re getting ripped off regardless of what you could possibly get out of this experience.

A short (30 minutes) and cute visual novel with some dark humor and memes. I recommend if you like games such as Doki Doki Literature Club and/or Needy Streamer Overload.
I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I could maybe play alongside him. I loaded into the game, picked my character and world and started playing but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he hosted a game for me to join. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This game has ever since brought me and my son closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house together as well. This game reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories.

[spoiler]Well, there's no real story, it's a series of different arrangements, every decision leads to a different outcome and while there's a true ending, all of them are basically different and a kind of "explanation" is given in the true ending.[/spoiler]

The story line isn't something to be taken seriously and while some decisions share scenarios in common, most of them guide you to a different kind of fever dream, which is the best way to describe this game's alternate lines.
Every line lasts about 5 to 10 minutes if you take your time and read it with attention, there's no secrets and no CG, just different endings and the closet option where you can change Lily's clothes to appear like that in the game, with no real impact.
Pros:
-Short.
-Funny.
-Lily cute.
-Multiple endings.
-Can change Lily's clothes.
Cons:
-Only 1 visible character.
-Not much world setup.
-Lack of CG.
Overall a fun experience to spend a lazy afternoon with a fun little while, not a master piece at all, but seems like an interesting experimental idea for a more convoluted story.

This is a really well done VN! There are several routes and endings to get through, just know that they are short. I find the way they did it to be about perfect! There is a bit of everything within each ending. Highly recommend!

Despite how cheap this game looks, it is actually quite good. All of your choices lead to a different ending and the endings are pretty funny and honestly, the obvious lack of budget adds to the charm of the game. It's a very short game, so keep that in mind. The only big problem I have with the game is that the true ending is too easy to get, since it really works best if you've all of, or at least most of the other endings. That aside, if you're looking for a good comedy game, I would recommend this game.

En mi caso tuve que cambiar el idioma del juego a inglés para que me botaran los logros. Aparte de eso, me parece un buen juego para entretenerse un rato debido a que no es difícil de completar. Es muy gracioso cómo una situación aparentemente normal puede terminar llevándote a un mal final. Si no te botan los logros, ya sabes que hacer ;)

That was so long ago. I got this game on my Android tablet from Google Play (2013 maybe) and it was really nice.
The game is so pretty: cute art, simple story, catchy music. It would be cool if the developer will create something like this again. Maybe "Part 3"? Yes, "Part 2" is already exist, it's "Lily's Night Off".

So entertaining! This game is hilarious. It's simple yet satisfying and the artwork is lovely.
The art is cute. I like how many different endings there was and the different routes they take (everything from aww to what the heck). Totally check out the guides on Steam if you get a little stuck but since the game keeps track of what you have already chosen (very useful by the way) you can easily figure it out on your own. The only negative I have to say is that I would like a little more different story lines to it. Overall this was a very positive experience.

Открыл половину концовок, но так и не понял, почему у этой игры столько положительных отзывов. Да и ценник в рублях завышен (покупал по скидке за 56 руб - вот норм цена).
Может дооткрою остальные концовки когда-нибудь, мнение изменится, но пока что - не рекомендую, либо только со скидкой.

I hate it, within 10 minutes of playing i managed to get 4 endings.
The game starts okay but 5 minutes later is like, whoa what the blyn am i playing, time travelers? nukes? little sister? the heck is this?
how did she went from a crying little girl to a maniac in a single minute? (literally 1 minute).
Absolutely trash, not to mention the fact that your "choices" do drastically change "throughout" the gameplay, the only detail that the devs didn't put up on the game description is that each gameplay is 5 minutes long.

Lily's day off is a cute and funny little game. I was taken aback by some of the endings ( a bit darker than i expected).
The downside however is that the game was sadly a bit too short ( only about 30-40 mins to finish the whole game) but good for people who are new to light novel type of games and want to give them a try.
This game's relatively easy if you've played the mobile version.
for a few minutes i've already had all achievements,
most games are easy if you've first found them on mobile.

A humourous visual novel where the story changes dramatically based upon which choices you make. The ending vary from the cute but mundane, to the absurd.
This is a cute and funny little game. I kinda wish it can be longer, but for the price, it's pretty good.

Game is 5 seconds long but the art was nice.
I can't really recommend it... Each route is only about 2 minutes long, and the stories are extremely random. A lot of the routes also are a lot more... ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up than i thought they'd be. Aside from that, the game overall is pretty low quality; music is super generic, the backgrounds are all just blurred photo's, and the art is kinda okay and cute, but nothing great. If you just want to enjoy some cute, light hearted slice-of-life type stuff, this may not be the game for you. If you like yandere and stuff like that, you could try it when it's on sale. Keep in mind you'll have this game completed 100% in about 20 minutes!

Apparently the reason why there are so many endings is because they are each only several minutes long.
So the game never builds a meaningful story out of the experience, and players can never become properly immersed. As they only spend a few minutes in each timeline, then it suddenly ends, and if they want to play more they have to start a different timeline while still remembering what they did in the previous one.
The different possible outcomes range from being completely boring and pointless, since they are ordinary and have no time to evolve into something more meaningful; to significantly more morbid possibilities like the player protagonist actually being a serial killer. And on multiple occasions, they reference the serial killer protagonist having a form of mental illness. So the developers that allow you to dress a clearly underaged girl in a bikini, romance her, kill her or get killed by her; are villainizing mental illness.
Besides the fact that the game never builds a proper story or sense of immersion from the numerous tiny storylines that contradict eachother, and thus fails as a visual novel to provide a compelling experience; it also sexually objectifies an underaged girl, allows you to potentially kill that same girl, and villainizes mental illness.
Well at least the mentally ill are generally not pedophiles that flaunt their fetish in inadequate games they sell to the public.
I would pay another three dollars to unremember this.
EXTREMELY story rich and superb writing, truly one of the best visual novels in the market.
it's not good, it's not bad. but it is interesting, and quite a bit humorous.
The best game ever i played
The entire game (all routes) can easily be played in 30-60 minutes, don't expect anything serious.
If you can pick up the game cheap (<1dollar) or just have money to blow it'll entertain you while you wait on something else to finish.
