This game turns clunky movement, jump scares, and 'was that supposed to happen?' moments into the core gameplay loop. Grab it for a dollar and play it around the holiday season. Don't expect too much.

Short horror game. It's a bit basic but it's also cheap and entertaining, so it's worth it.
Spent 2+ hours meandering around the hallways thinking I missed something, giving this game the benefit of the doubt, but it turned out my game was bugged with an incorrect puzzle solution, making it 100% unbeatable without a walkthrough.
Maybe I'm a rare case, but considering this game has been in early access for 2 years with multiple reviews saying the same, I would stay away.

The game is short but it`s got some creepy moments. I liked the code cracking a lot. The game is cheap so if you want to have a short little horror experience you should get it.
The only thing that annoyed me a little bit is that i had a graphical glitch everytime i looked up and down.
Коротенький инди-хоррор от двух разработчиков, не особо страшный, но, в принципе, для дебютной разработки студии вполне неплохо. Весь геймплей это поиск предметов да разгадка нескольких загадок. Единственным существенным минусом при прохождении было следующее, уж извините за небольшой спойлер: в игре разбросаны 4 части пароля, и у меня почему-то было 2 одинаковых части rum вместо rum и put, из-за чего пришлось долго перебирать пароль с нулевым результатом и в итоге лезть в руководство по прохождению.
Overall Rating: 4/10. Being honest it's been a while since I played the game. I remember it being fun for a Holiday themed horror game, and it had some decent jumpscares. But overall the puzzles felt simple, most of the scares and the "antagonist" if you could call it that, felt cheap and the story line just wasn't there. There are better holiday horror options.

Приятно, что данная команда - Российские разработчики. Странно только, что стоит до сих пор статус - Ранний доступ, если она полностью завершённая и играбельна.

Сюжет достаточно запутан и непонятен, очень сложно разобраться в нем. Что на счет геймплея? При первом прохождении все выглядит неплохо, но после первой смерти перепроходить все заново, получая абсолютно те же самые, уже не страшные скримеры (да и до этого они были среднего качества) - уже как-то не очень. Первая головоломка была непонятна, никаких указаний по ней дано не было, лишь дали и делай с ней что желаешь, следующая была уже более менее: поиск частиц слов по дому интересен, но потом наугад пытаться составить слова как-то не весело
Хорошая пугалка на часик. Инди-хоррор Irony of Nightmare берет начало в обычном доме, где мы застаем героя, сидящего за компьютером. После того, как главный герой выйдет из-за стола,мы получаем управление. Первым делом стоит ознакомиться с содержимым записки. После чего отправляемся в зал, любоваться наряженной новогодней елкой. Оказавшись на месте, обстановка в доме изменится. Пропадет свет, все двери запрутся на замки, а новогодняя елка будет пестрить надписью «умри». Поскольку все вышеописанное явно не сулит герою ничего хорошего, тот предпринимает попытку покинуть дом. Люблю такие незамысловатые игры.
Irony of Nightmare — прекрасный выбор для тех, кто ищет, во что поиграть перед праздниками.
Игра - полный шлак, никакой истории, не одного неожиданного скримера, постоянно не понимаешь что нужно делать, просто ходишь по квартире, концовка убила - ахаха. Вообщем не стоит и копейки

Jumpscares don't make a scary game good.
Игра совершенно нестрашная и короткая. Сюжет прост, но удерживает до самого конца. Графика средняя, саундтрек приличный. Убегать и прятаться не надо, есть пара загадок и поиски ключей, вот и весь геймплей на 30 минут, неплохо.

Короче родаки куда то свалили, пришел бухой сосед, рыгнул в унитаз, потом залез в душ, главный герой зашел в ванну сосед на него наорал, а в 00:00 сосед запустил фейерверк. Нормально так Новый год встретили, сосед бы не пришел, так бы главный герой и рубился дальше в Доту 2)))

"Irony of Boring"
This 2017 horror game fails to deliver on any real scares or atmosphere. I’m usually very sensitive to horror games, getting startled easily, but this one didn’t manage to create any tension or memorable moments. The jump scares are weak, and the antagonist feels flat and uninteresting.
The endings are especially disappointing, with one option involving an awkward encounter where the entity just T-poses at you, and the other putting you in a matrix-looking, nerd smelling, code and symbol plastered room waiting for the credits to roll. Neither ending feels satisfying or earned.
For a game that’s priced around 2 euros, some might argue it’s worth a shot, but even for that price, I think it’s fair to point out the flaws. If you’re okay with a short, forgettable horror experience, it might be worth picking up. Otherwise, I’d recommend looking elsewhere for a better horror game.

Есть 2 концовки, если ити по сюжету то проходите на плохую.
Но если в компютере в чате добавить друга написать "Noel" а потом написать ему "привет" то он моможет найти хорошую концовку.
Но если сразу зайти в папку Mother и написать пароль "verum_output" то откроетса дверь которая раньше била закрита.
Заходите в комнату за дверью и подходите к окну, смотрите мужику в глаза а потом берете ключ в тумбочке справа от вас.
Дальше идете к комп'ютеру и нажимаете на кнопку в левом нижнем углу екрана, появитса красная дверь в вашей комнате
Заходите в нее и все, поздравляю ви прошли на хорошую концовку!

Ранний доступ с 2017, а контента совсем не завезли. События происходят в доме, оформленном под типичную Российскую квартиру. Геймплея минимум, ходишь из комнаты в комнату и собираешь ключи. При выходе из комнаты нас пытаются напугать, но получается не очень. Визуально оформлена красиво и атмосферно.

Irony Of Nightmare is a fairly basic Unreal asset flipped first person horror adventure, one of many hundreds, if not thousands of these glutting Steam. The Russian "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unreal Marketplace asset store packs, arranged them haphazardly in a first person adventure game template, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. There's a christmas theme in this one, but ultimately it's just a bunch of other people's work that the Russian "developer" wants your money for.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware.
The game was abandoned several years beyond the developers committed delivery date and hasn't been updated in over a year. It blew past the developers commitment to complete the game without any notification or admission of failure from the developer. The game will never be completed.
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
Bewilderingly, the game doesn't include proper audio controls, so you can't turn off the annoying background music, you'll need to alt+tab out and stop the music using the Windows sound mixer. This is obviously not okay and it's unclear why the developers chose not to include this basic feature.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 14 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Unethically, the developer sold keys to this abandoned Early Access game into cheap, nasty game bundles, where they knew it would be advertised and sold as a complete PC game. This seems to have been done in an attempt to mislead gamers into buying a knowingly faulty, defective and incomplete product. When a developer does this for a game they have zero practical intention of completing, this is essentially a scam, an intention to get paid for a broken/unfinished product. Often this is done as an exit strategy, as the developer takes the money and runs. No refunds have been given, the developer kept all the money they took from gamers.
Another unethical act of this developer, knowing full well that this game is abandoned and they will never complete it, they are deliberately trying to scam gamers into buying it by offering it on discount from time to time. It's impossible to "accidentally" discount a game. The developer looked at their abandoned game, and instead of doing the right thing and removing it from Steam, they instead doubled-down and tried to scam even more people into paying for it. Greedy, and completely unethical. Doing the wrong thing, on purpose, for money. This is not okay.
Furthering the unethical nature of this developer, while they are selling this incomplete game under Valve's failed Early Access program, they're abusing that program, and not working on this game full time, as they have other projects in the works. That means there's ZERO confidence anyone who buys this in Early Access will receive a complete game, and it's possible that they're being scammed.
Irony Of Nightmare is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 9,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.

Здравый хоррор с прекрасной атмосферой нового года и рождества, который подкреплён жуткими скримерами, сбором ключей и двумя концовками, одна из которых прямо-таки оригинально сделана и зайдёт всем играющим.
Редко, когда в инди-проекте встретишь подобное.
Выглядит всё красиво, на слабых компьютерах не лагает, что является несомненным плюсом!
Вот на сильных не знаю, проверить не могу, к сожалению.
Помимо того, что сюжет небольшой есть, так ещё и не могу не отметить общение с «другом» в чате, который ответит на любое твоё сообщение.
Разумеется, это не нейросеть и долгого оригинального общения не получится, но я ни в какой игре, разумеется, если не брать в расчёт онлайн-игры, не встречал подобной фичи.

Nice little short horror game with a decent message. I seem to love all of this developer's titles so far. It had a few fun jumpscares that made me scream.
