This game is an absolute gem. There is no other game in the market with such unique gameplay mechanics.
Its the best stealth game ever. Although strictly speaking this is not a stealth game technically. Its a genre of its own. It rewards patience and planning and is a blast to play for hours on end!

[b]What I Played:[/b] Over 200 hours of meticulously planning the perfect assassination, only to panic and throw a wrench at someone's head instead. I've played through every map multiple times, chased mission stories, silent assassin ratings, and some truly unhinged kill methods that I'm not sure I should admit to publicly.

[*]The sandbox design is genuinely incredible. Miami alone kept me busy for like 30 hours because there are so many ways to approach every target. Dropping a race car on someone never gets old.
[*]Replayability is insane. Every map feels like a puzzle box with dozens of solutions. I kept coming back thinking "okay but what if I disguise as a flamingo mascot this time" and the game just lets you do it.
[*]The level of detail in every location is absurd. Mumbai feels alive, the Colombian mansion is gorgeous, and Whittleton Creek is the most dangerous suburb in gaming history.
[*]Mastery system gives you real reasons to replay maps beyond just messing around. Unlocking new starting locations and gear completely changes how you approach a level.

[*]The always-online requirement for a single-player game is still baffling. Losing connection means losing progress on challenges, and that stings when you just pulled off something amazing.
[*]The story is honestly pretty forgettable. Cutscenes are mostly still images which felt like a budget compromise. I'm here for the gameplay but it's worth mentioning.
[*]Some of the elusive targets being limited-time only means if you missed them, tough luck. FOMO in a stealth game feels wrong.

[b]Verdict:[/b] [b]Recommended[/b] - 203 hours in and I still boot it up to try weird kill methods I saw on YouTube. HITMAN 2 is one of those rare games where the more you play, the better it gets. If you have any interest in stealth, creative problem solving, or just want to see what happens when you throw a fish at a billionaire, this is your game. Absolute must-play.

Hitman had its reputation restored in 2016 after rebooting the franchise despite the initial uproar against its episodic live-service format. The Hitman games have always adhered to a simple formula, and Hitman 2 is no exception, the magic and replayability of Hitman lies in exploring the environments, donning disguises of the NPC's you assassinate, and devising stealthy and creative executions that leave no trace. To keep your typical sequel expectations in check, it's probably best to think of Hitman 2 as the season 2 of the 2016 revival where it doesn't have many new features to boast about but it does deliver on all six new carefully devised murder sandboxes. Some of which have turned into the most iconic in the franchise. It helps that the variety in choice thrown at the player in each map will always give you reason enough to replay them without becoming bored. Each map is now massive enough that it demands a respectable time investment just to learn, and the organic discovery of a level’s set-piece executions has taken a backseat to in-game guides that hold your hand through each step in Agent 47’s elaborate schemes. Hitman’s signature assassinations have always been puzzles, and nowadays you can either have all the answers splayed out in front of you or blindly stumble through them via hours of trial-and-error. And that’s part of the point. There’s always a ton of room for experimentation because it's genuinely impossible to see and do everything a mission has to offer you in one playthrough. Side stories tell little tales within the framework of the larger story and if you fail to trigger them quickly enough, the moment of opportunity passes and they expire. The signature executions this time around are worth the extra effort they might require because it will always give you a memorable moment. Helping to add to those moments are the new item drops, starting points, and other sandbox-altering perks you can unlock when you play the missions a certain way so that the next time you go back in, the replayability is both built-in and actively encouraged. Even the difficulty levels change the gameplay parameters by removing UI hints, upping NPC intelligence, etc. Also minor improvements like picture-in-picture alerts of important events that happen throughout the course of a session and the ability to hide in foliage smooth out the gameplay, making it more enticing to dive back in. Like any good stealth game, Hitman 2 doesn’t just ask for your patience – it demands it, when a murder you've been working up to for hours finally pays off, it feels fantastic and is easily one of the most satisfying feelings in all of gaming.

IO this time around tried to tell a more compelling story than the previous game, though the results are mixed. The developer smartly focuses on fleshing out 47’s past and a mysterious new figure provides some extra intrigue but unfortunately, the narrative is told through glorified storyboard sequences rather than actual cutscenes. Watching the camera pan across still images of characters as they converse just feels cheap and disappointing, especially given the previous quality of the series’ cinematics – and how good the in-game engine looks. The story in Hitman games are usually an afterthought and I think IO genuinely wanted to stay far away from redoing the type of overly ambitious Hollywood story beats that Hitman: Absolution was known for.

Hitman 2 doesn’t add much of note to the structure of its predecessor and thus feels more like a Hitman 1.5 rather than a full-blown sequel but that’s not a bad thing. And by offering more of the deepest, fullest stealth sandboxes in gaming in one single tightly knit package rather than six episodic ones, it earns its keep. The inclusion of Hitman (2016) as a bonus for those that didn’t catch the reboot initially made Hitman 2 the must-have in the franchise back in 2018 and I think it still rings true now. Unfortunately, Steam and every other digital storefront delisted the game in January of 2023. This was part of a rebranding push by IO Interactive where both Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 were integrated into Hitman 3, which then was rebranded as Hitman: World of Assassination. This didn't come as a shock to fans given the state of the video game industry now and its ever-evolving trap-door style business practices that seem to want to confuse and/or punish the player with headaches but it certainly wasn't a smart business choice as the franchise lost it's cohesion from that point onwards and lost a good chunk of players because of it. If you can find a way to play Hitman 2 (2018) without buying WOA, do it.

Если вы школьник, которому совсем нечего делать в свободное время, тогда это для вас.
Уровни просто огромные, нужно возиться часа 2, чтобы нормально устранить цель. Dead Money был в этом плане менее масштабным (и это к лучшему, вспомните великолепный уровень "Новая жизнь"). Геймплейная часть очень качественная, безусловно, это поколение хитманов сделано очень грамотно, чтобы вызывать как можно меньше фрустрации у игрока. Но играть от этого не слишком то и веселее, гораздо веселее смотреть нарезки с прикольными диалогами и убийствами на Ютубе, чем самому пытаться разобраться.
Ах да, сюжет тут просто нулевый, даже по мерка франшизы Хитман.
Игра определенно не для всех.

Я поиграл в Hitman 2 и могу сказать, что игра очень крутая. Она затягивает, потому что каждый раз можно пройти миссию по-разному. Агент 47 — это реально легендарный персонаж, и в этой части он чувствуется ещё мощнее.

Плюсы:

Большие и проработанные локации, где всегда есть чем заняться.

Много способов пройти миссию: можно идти в лоб, а можно по стелсу, переодеваться и придумывать хитрые схемы.

Атмосфера, которая реально напоминает шпионский фильм.

Хорошая графика и детализация.

Реиграбельность: миссии можно перепроходить и каждый раз находить новые пути.

Минусы:

Иногда задания кажутся слишком сложными и можно застрять.

Не всем понравится медленный геймплей, ведь тут важно думать и планировать, а не просто стрелять.

Бывают баги с поведением NPC.

Итог: Hitman 2 — это игра, которая подойдёт тем, кто любит стелс и стратегию. Она не для тех, кто хочет экшн на каждом шагу, но если нравится продумывать шаги и чувствовать себя настоящим киллером, то это отличный вариант. Я бы поставил 9 из 10.

感觉现在越来越不鼓励经典的SASO+钢琴线玩法了，好些目标的设计需要卡机制才能达成，游戏感很重，感觉47在和代码斗智斗勇而不是完成任务。最后一关尤其明显。虽然老几代也经常会出现刁钻的SA要求，但既然新系列强调自由度和多样选择，那就该一视同仁地把所有暗杀方式都设计得尽量流畅真实合理，而不是让玩家想方设法钻空子，或者被迫先走其他玩法解锁更多道具之后再回来达成这种经典路线。
我玩游戏很少为难自己，HITMAN算是独一份对特殊成就有执念的，为了不进一步为难自己，系列后续作品应该不会玩了...

Плюсы:

+ Приятные большие уровни. На них много чего интересного, есть куча способов добраться до цели, причем как сюжетных, выполненных в виде небольших заданий, так и обычных, которые предстоит найти игроку самостоятельно.

+ Сама концепция игры. Это песочница. Тебя пускают на уровень и ставят цель - убить конкретных персонажей. Все, развлекайся. Как я уже сказал, способов много. Хоть в лоб беги, хоть скрывайся. Например однажды я потратил на уровень часа три, чтобы сделать все идеально и интересно. А потом решил пробежать его второй раз, но уже только с пистолетом и в костюме. Получилось за 10 минут, причем без переодеваний и обнаружений. В общем очень весело. Единственное что меня совсем немного смутило, так это то, что в игре есть прокачка. Далеко не все способы устранения противников доступны сначала и нужно пару раз пройти один и тот же уровень, чтобы было весело. Но это мелочь

Минусы:

- Вылеты. Они были не часто, и ни разу у меня из-за этого не сбрасывался прогрес, но штука неприятная. Открыл оверлей стима? Вылет. Открыл список сохранений, чтобы загрузиться? Вылет. Поставил на паузу? Вылет.

Очень хорошая игра, с удовольствием ее прошел и возможно позже перепройду. Про сюжет не сказал ничего, но там особо и нечего. Он обычный, без изысков, но и юез тупостей. Пропускать катсцены желания не было. Так что игру смело рекомендую, но перед оценкой скажу еще пару слов о вещах, которые я искренне не понимаю

Во-первых, почему я могу сразу как только скачал игру начать проходить финальную миссию? Да, там конечно есть плашка что лучше пройти предыдущую, но блин. Как по мне должно быть по классике - ты нажал "Новая игра" и играешь с начала и до конца, без возможности перепрыгнуть. Конечно, когда прошел, перепроходи уровни в рандомном порядке, никто не мешает, но то что сделали разработчики здесь как по мне немного обесценивает сюжетность игры и превращает ее в набор уровней

Во-вторых, я не понимаю нафига здесь добавили возможность пройти первую часть во второй. Я бы понял например если бы в Skyrim дали пройти Oblivion. Там движки, да и геймплей, между частями сильно поменялись, но тут различий очень мало. Как по мне это довольно нехило так обесценивает первую часть, которая вообще-то сама по себе очень хорошая игра

the game is great, almost a masterpiece, but the DLC politics IO is going for are so atrocious, they alienated me, a life long fan of the series, for years now. there once was a time where you needed a GUIDE to know how to buy this game completely, because they broke it into pieces. While I actually like this better than the first "World of Assassination" title, it still has serious issues that I can't overlook.

I was actually surprised playing this. IOI got a lot of, well justified, flak for the way they handled the World of Assassination releases, selling these as individual games instead of expansions to the existing ones we paid for. Sure, they can link up, put still...

Anyway, I was impressed with the improvement in polish over the first installment. Everything looks and feels smoother. I know that's vague if you haven't played them, but trust me, it makes things better.

Better...but not good. More like, less garbage.

The game still relies on insistent story telling. This irks me, because I'd genuinely be fine with just having a bunch of contracts. I neither need nor want my handler telling me how bad people are for doing a war crime or being a naughty guy when I'm...an assassin. It gets in the way and all of the time and energy wasted on assuring me that these people need to die could be spent making the game more fun to play.

As for that gameplay...again it's better, but still not good. I'm still reliant on a very limited arsenal for a guy who is a career assassin in a private army of assassins. Likewise, the missions, just like the first game, are too dang dependent on having me find the narrow, channelized paths to completing my kills as opposed to just setting me down and letting me get to it.

Go ahead, IOI. Stick all the borderline FOMO-lite progression you want, I don't care about getting some stupid outfit or rubber duck bomb. This isn't Fortnite. Let me kill someone...but nope. I get to save scum my way through the screw-up hootenany whenever I misjudge that one guy's sight range and then have every guard immediately investigating the room I "just so happen" to be in.

It's not bad, but it's not good, either. It's a poor shooter. It's not stealth. It's not an RPG. It's a puzzle game. Sure, you walk around and kill people, but that's just so you can find the sequence of specific tasks you need to perform or outfits to wear that'll get you in range of the target.

I came to be a killer, not play murder-tetris.

Hitman 2 is a fun stealth game with big, detailed maps and lots of ways to complete each mission. I enjoyed trying different approaches and seeing what worked best.

И так пройдя сюжет, и поиграв в другие режимы игры. Я выскажу свое мнение об игре, графика тут есть, локации красивые, но не на много поменялась с последней части хитмана перед второй частью. Заданий и миссий просто куча, дабы задротить в игре до конца света. Уровни можно проходить много раз и разными способами, то так убей цель, то в одной одежде, то в другой, то одним оружием, то другим. И такого тут много к сожалению, еще на выходе я помню что все это выходила как полноценный сериал, что за бред и народ к сожалению схавал это, что огорчает очень. Мне повезло я купил уже спустя долгое время после выхода. Но все же мне не зашло, не люблю игры зодротить до дыр, не мой стиль прохождений. Мне большие старые игры нравятся про лысого наемника. А эти части были сделаны для нового поколения. Поэтому если нравится задротить, то дело ваше, идин раз пройти можно ее, но не более. То что есть мультиплеер тоже хорошее решение, в остальном же зря так сделали разрабы.

абсолютный шедевр, хоть и разрабы намешали все части и щас остался только Воа

10/10, очень иммерсивно, красиво, оригинально и атмосферно, + очень запоминается и заседает в голове надолго
для всех любителей стелсов с кучей интерактива это идеальный вариант убить время

Приятно возвращаться в Hitman каждый год, пропадая в игре на долгие добрые часы.
И конечно, сегодня все игры собраны комплектом в одной версии World of assassination,которая заслуживает внимания в первую очередь.
Но мне, как фанату, приятно также провести время в более ранних версиях, которые ощущаются по-особенному, даруя если не новый геймплейный опыт, то новый, хорошо забытый, опыт восприятия.
По моим наблюдениям, игра обладает более живым окружением. Эта живость обусловлена более натуралистичным объёмным звуком;Четкой детализацией мелких объектов,в купе с их правдоподобной моделью разрушения,с массой всячеких декалий и прочих хорошо выглядищих последствий.
Игра недаром весит больше, чем полная трилогия, она технически превосходит заключительный сборник и графически выглядит сочнее, ввиду отсутствия сильного затенения в ряде локаций.
Играть сегодня рекомендую для визуального наслаждения игрой. К тому же, ввиду отсутвия агрессивного требования онлаин подключения игры, загрузки /сохранения происходят так быстро, что вы никогда не утратите темп вашего прохождения, а также позволите себе рисковать на локациях чаще без дискомфорта.
