The plot is okay (nothing special, nothing dreadful)
My issues with it are:
It has not aged well QOL wise which is especially disappointing as bringing it into the modern era feels like what the definitive edition should have been doing but instead it just made it run awfully, somehow feeling worse that it did on the PS2.
The mission designs also feel very dated (go here and kill x people in x amount of time, rinse and repeat).
Most of the game is just plain forgettable as well. With the only names I remember being the names of a few of the mission givers, Hell I didn't even know the main character's name until I heard it in a Youtube video.
Every single car without exception is made of paper mache, with only a couple of light taps for them to burst into flames and explode.
A complaint I also had as a completionist is that some missions will just skip and lock you out of other seemingly unrelated missions without warning and lock you out of a 100% playthrough.
A small gripe is that as you complete missions and make enemies of other factions they will shoot at you on sight, which is fine on foot, but if you are in a random car that you just stole they will still recognise you somehow.
The GPS is also a mess with it giving you a not very direct path with 10x more turns than necessary.
The traffic is classic gta traffic with them turning whenever they want which is even more of an issue in this game due to the paper mache cars.
There are also a fair amount of bugs, only one or two that caused me to restart missions, but still a noticeable amount. Biggest one being that randomly when I paused, upon unpausing the game would become a stuttery mess until restart.

Back in 2001, the Original GTA III released on the ps2 and revolutionized videogames by pioneering the modern 3d open-world sandbox genre, about 25 people worked on this game for 3 years and it became one of the earliest known examples of a modern AAA game, It also altered the series from its original top-down 2D perspective into a fully realized 3d immersive environment. It was one of the first games to use motion-captured cutscenes and rendered them in real-time while also including multiple themed radio stations to create a believable living Liberty City, while additionally featuring a full 24 hour day and night cycle and changing weather patterns (like rain) that directly affected vehicle physics and NPC density.

Grand theft Auto III introduced (The Wanted System) which measures how much the player is wanted by law enforcement. As the players wanted level increases, higher forms of law enforcement will pursue them. It has been the industry standard for managing all the destruction the player causes. Every GTA since has used the same system and evolved it further.
-introduced a detailed separate mini-map to display the city layout and key objectives in real time.
-introduced a non-linear mission layout where players can choose when to trigger missions, or to ignore them and explore map or do side activities that usually consist of vehicle based tasks like: vigilante, paramedics, firefighter, taxi driver, stunt-jumps. These activities include cash if you complete. Cash can be used for essential items (weapons/ammo, car bombs, some mission-specific items such as bombing ships or paying ransoms)
GTA 3 also popularised universal control schemes. E.G using Triangle / Y to enter a vehicle.

In GTA 3 definitive edition, there's a clear loss of the gritty aesthetic that the OG had. plus, the removal of the fog that was in the original, it now just exposes the bad quality of the city. I've come across a few bugs across all three of the definitive games it has to be said. I would love to still recommend this game but I actually just cant.

All the remaster does is make it more accessible for the new generation and also includes a few quality of life improvements such as the 'modern' lighting + the classic lighting (aiming for the OGs lighting and misty skyboxes) it isn't the remaster GTA 3 deserved or what anyone wanted, it fails to capture the originals atmosphere and at release, this game suffered from bad performance and broken character models. (they're still not great) Additionally, the new controls are pretty mediocre and in my opinion the lock-on mechanics are not good) and it has a very dull, lazy art-style which nobody asked for. GTA III has definitely aged and this remaster just doesn't help its case. the AI is bad and Claude's walking sections are miserable because his stamina bar has been nerfed for some reason.
the trilogy is currently on steam for 59.99 pound which I'd say is ludicrous.

It has been improved since launch. GTA 3 is still an iconic game everyone should check out once, it still has a lively, chaotic world and i'd argue its still a near masterpiece 25 years later and i'm happy I can still have a bit of fun on this game but that fun just didn't last very long. It's just a huge shame that rockstar couldn't deliver with the remaster that everyone wanted as it lacks the originals charm massively and just doesn't live up to the Playstation 2 Classic.

I really wanted to enjoy Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition, but unfortunately my experience was just a buggy mess.

I encountered multiple bugs that literally prevented me from completing missions, which made progressing through the game extremely frustrating. What makes it worse is that this version was handled by Grove Street Games, and in my opinion they completely ruined what should have been a great remaster of a classic game.

I’m playing on a laptop with an i9-13980HX, RTX 4060 and 32GB RAM, and even on Ultra settings the game only ran at around 150 FPS, which is pretty disappointing considering the age and scope of the game.

I want to be clear: I genuinely love Rockstar’s games. Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of my all-time favorite games and shows how incredible Rockstar can be when everything is done right.

That’s exactly why this feels so disappointing. GTA III is a legendary game, but this Definitive Edition just doesn’t do it justice. In its current state, I honestly don’t think it’s worth playing.

整個三部曲到底有沒有誠意也不再評價了。SA由於自身的遊戲素質就擺在那裏儘管還是有那麽多無法無視的敷衍和偏差帶給我的快樂比當年卻是一絲不減；VC即使能明顯感覺到系統的陳舊但在光影和材質升級後帶給人一種齒輪磨合的奇妙感也還是有享受和時光穿梭的時刻。

除去所有里程碑開創意義，3代的自由城實在沒有任何代入感。大部分任務都既無聊又重複且噁心人。任務是限時的、點位是模糊不清的、判定條件是難以理解的；警車是制導的、載具是三噴就爆的、你克勞德是全圖無盟友的。電臺也毫無特點比起任何一作，古典是有點意思也算LC的風格，但這個要求是有點太過苛刻了。

用現在的眼光去挑剔確實是不公平的，但要說不帶濾鏡的情況下在2026也還能有個合格的遊戲體驗那確實是沒有的。

R星你把三部曲外包出去做了三坨屎还要把老三部曲下架怕影响这个所谓的重制版销量贱不贱啊
优点感知下来只有两个：画面和雷达
以下是缺点：
画面比起02年的只能说强了一点，但是这个优化是真的烂，只要是你在移动隔几秒就会掉一次帧，降到60帧也还是一样，玩着巨难受
小BUG还是有一两个，比如说M16神奇的射速（跟旧版高帧一样的BUG,都是重制版了，旧版的BUG也要同步过来吗），在路上还会刷出卡在地底卡在隧道顶的车，就这点还不如老版好呢
本来是为了原版三部曲补个票的，现在玩下来感觉还不如原版加上修复补丁啊，个人建议如果不是补票的还不如去找旧版资源玩了，游玩体验还比这个重制版好
再补充评价下任务和剧情，感觉三部曲里这部的剧情最差了，至于任务方面，部分的时间也卡的挺极限的而且各个帮派惹了个遍成过街老鼠了，再得几个好市民星星就要顶着双重火力和极限时间做任务，再加上优化差和小BUG游戏体验真的好差

Upon playing this game for the first time and realizing i could drive my car through a crowd of pedestrians I knew I was in for a unique experience. There was no gaming precedent for this at the time, being able to just run amok in the city completly independent of any storyline or script. Spent many hours with this game playing "mad sniper" and running from the cops. A very free and gritty experience.

Velký posun v hratelnosti oproti původní GTA 3. Některé postavy sice vypadají jako špatně zmalovaní klauni, ale hru jsem si jinak užil a dohrál na 100%. Pro milovníky GTA a obzvlášť starších dílů je toto povinnost mít. Velký bonus potom je taky sbírání achievementů.

Hra na mém PC frčela na plné detaily cca 60fps.

Another classic from the PS2 era.
But I not going to lie, this game truly reflect the transition from 2D to 3D, that some types of activities and game design choices makes more sense in a 2D setting (bird-view), than in a 3D setting. The most annoying of these for me, is how the gangs behave in the streets. The just start shooting after you on the open streets, and sometimes policemen is just passing by like nothing is happening, unless you fire back, lol.

The map was surprisingly smaller than I remembered, the story is half-decent, and quite short. But since I've played so much GTA online over the years, it was quite easy for me, so I didn't need that many tries on each mission.

The game would have been more enjoyable with some quality of life improvements. But I'm still going to recommend it, because of it's "historic" importance for gaming. I also didn't experience any major bugs, only occasional minor bugs, that failed the mission, but would be gone when I retried the mission.

Очень даже хорошо играется. Конечно, эффекта вау как при выходе уже не будет, но поностальгировать в самый раз, все-таки как-никак прародитель серии.

Лишь пару миссий портят впечатления, вроде гонки ,где тебя каждый угол обстреливает, а у тебя машина из сахара, выкручивайся как знаешь.

When I was younger I definitely played Grand Theft Auto III, but I never actually finished it. I remember messing around in the world for a bit and then losing interest fairly quickly. Years later I decided to revisit it through The Definitive Edition and go for all the achievements.

It took me about 32 hours to complete everything, and I will say this right away: this game shows its age. There are a lot of mechanics that feel rough compared to modern games. At the same time, it is still a very important and charming entry in gaming history. Grand Theft Auto III was the first fully 3D GTA game and laid the foundation for everything the series would become.

The Definitive Edition does help modernize the visuals, but the core game is still very much the same classic experience.

[h1]What It Is[/h1]
Grand Theft Auto III takes place in Liberty City, a fictional city heavily inspired by New York. You play as Claude, a silent protagonist who gets betrayed during a bank robbery and then slowly works his way through the city's criminal underworld.

The game is structured around missions given by various crime bosses and gangs. Along the way you drive around the city, complete objectives, unlock new islands, and take part in different side activities like taxi driving, vigilante missions, and hidden packages.

One thing that still works really well is the city itself. Liberty City is genuinely fun to explore. Driving around the different districts, discovering shortcuts, and seeing how the city opens up over time still feels satisfying.

There are also plenty of activities scattered around the map. Side missions like taxi fares, vigilante missions, and other small challenges give you extra things to do outside the main story. If you enjoy exploring and experimenting in open worlds, the game still offers a lot of freedom.

Gameplay is where the age of the game really shows. You die very quickly and many mechanics feel very unforgiving compared to modern GTA titles.

Combat while driving is very limited. You cannot easily shoot from vehicles in the same way later GTA games allow, and there are no bikes in this entry. This makes certain missions significantly harder than they probably needed to be.

Vehicles themselves are also extremely fragile. Cars feel like they are made out of paper and can start smoking or even explode after only a few crashes. When missions involve chasing enemies or surviving heavy combat in vehicles, this becomes very frustrating.

Some achievements make these issues even more noticeable. For example, certain vigilante objectives require killing multiple criminals in a single run while trying to survive in vehicles that break extremely quickly.

[h1]Graphics and The Definitive Edition Changes[/h1]
The Definitive Edition does improve the visuals compared to the original game. Lighting, textures, and character models are cleaner and more modern looking. It makes the game easier on the eyes and helps bring the classic experience to newer systems.

However, some elements of the Definitive Edition have been controversial. Vehicle physics can feel strange at times and some players have reported odd behavior with cars or environmental interactions. It is hard to say exactly how much of this comes from the original game and how much comes from the updated version.

Another thing that stands out is the UI. All the Definitive Edition GTA games share the same interface, minimap, and menus. While it works fine, it does make the games feel very similar to one another, almost like you are playing different expansions of the same game.

This is the game that did something groundbreaking in the industry, and gave the players freedom. Унылый симулятор шныря.

Никаких багов во время прохождения не встретил, проблемы управления это проблемы ещё оригинальной ГТА. Сейчас хотя бы можно играть с приятной графикой.

Тут уже больше вопрос к тому, что она в принципе очень сильно устарела и интересного в ней нет ничего. Миссии просто подай принеси, геймплей однообразный, стилистика ничем не выделяется уже на данный момент. Я понимаю что для своего года это был прорыв, но сейчас к сожалению она морально устарела, в отличие от той же Vice city, в которой уже есть узнаваемая атмосфера, музыка и какой никакой сюжет про крутых мафиозников.

В общем игре ставлю класс исключительно из уважения к классике, большого удовольствия от прохождения не испытал.

This is the game that changed the gaming industry, because of this game we were introduced to third person open world gaming. Driving different sorts of vehicle in third person was really astonishing!! A really good game and this version is the definite version which gives better graphics and lightning. Я перепрошёл GTA III в переиздании — и, честно говоря, остался в целом доволен. Ожидал худшего (особенно после слухов о проблемах с другими частями трилогии), но игра порадовала. Делюсь впечатлениями!

Что особенно понравилось:

Графика стала приятнее. Либерти‑Сити теперь выглядит не так «мыльно», как 20 лет назад:

чёткие текстуры зданий, вывесок, дорог — можно разглядеть детали, которых раньше не замечал;

улучшенное освещение и тени: мрачная атмосфера города ощущается ещё сильнее, особенно ночью или в дождь;

огонь и взрывы смотрятся зрелищнее — хаос теперь ещё эффектнее;

растительность (деревья, кусты) выглядит живее и натуральнее.

Удобные геймплейные фишки:

Колесо выбора оружия — наконец‑то не надо долго листать инвентарь! Переключаться между пушками стало в разы быстрее.

Контрольные точки — огромный плюс. После гибели не нужно заново бежать через полгорода к месту миссии. Спасение и прогресс ближе — играть комфортнее.

Улучшенное управление камерой — прицел двигается плавнее, целиться удобнее.

Новое управление вертолётом — теперь можно использовать мышь. Миссия с вертолётиком, которая раньше сводила с ума, проходится почти без проблем!

GPS на мини‑карте — показывает оптимальный маршрут. Не заблудишься, даже если давно не был в каком‑то районе.

Дух оригинала сохранён. Это всё та же GTA III:

сюжет, миссии, персонажи — без изменений. Всё, за что я любил игру, на месте;

чёрный юмор и сатира никуда не делись — игра по‑прежнему высмеивает стереотипы с фирменной наглостью Rockstar;

музыка на радиостанциях создаёт тот самый ностальгический вайб. Знакомые треки сразу переносят в начало 2000‑х.

Работает на современных платформах. Запустил на ПК — никаких танцев с бубном. Всё стабильно, управление адаптировано. Старые читы тоже работают — можно устроить хаос по старинке.

Lo bueno:

Gráficos: el juego tiene una mejor iluminación manteniendo las tonalidades del juego original. Aunque por lo que vi cuando salió no tenía las tonalidades del juego original, veo que después las agregaron.

Interfaz: me gustó y me parece muy bien que agregaran la rueda de armas y la rueda de las estaciones de radio. A la información de la estación de radio actual le falta mostrar el nombre de las canciones. En general se me hacen bien.

Lo malo:

Gráficos: yo sé que dije cosas buenas, pero también tienen cosas malas. Los modelos 3D siguen siendo los originales, la iluminación más moderna hace que se noten más los polígonos, mínimo pudieron mejorar otros apartados además de la iluminación del juego.

Bugs: los mismos bugs del juego original. No se puede jugar a más de 30FPS de manera que no falle algo del juego, los coches flotan, hitboxes mal implementados, errores en el sistema de disparo, etc. Incluso noté algunos nuevos, como que los textos al iniciar una misión a veces no se muestran en pantalla.

Texturas: si, las texturas se ven mejor. El detallé es que no pusieron la atención necesaria para mantener los easter eggs, ya no hay pantallas que muestran GTA 2, ni carteles que anuncian la ciudad de Vice City.

Es GTA 3, siempre recomendaré jugar GTA 3. El problema que veo está en esta versión. Tomando en cuenta el tamaño, los recursos y la calidad que tiene Rockstar, este es el peor trabajo que han hecho. Considero que los juegos originales con mods corrigen muchos errores y agregan mejores incrementos al juego que esta versión. Solo lo recomendaría comprar si tuviera un descuento como mínimo del 40% y advirtiendo que para jugarlo con comodidad hará falta instalar mods. Ya sé que dije que al original también hay que ponerle mods, la diferencia está en que el original tiene miles de mods y décadas de trabajo por parte de la comunidad. Sin duda esta no es la “edición definitiva” y no le hace justicia a la importancia que tiene en la historia de los videojuegos.

Im currently on my run to finish every GTA before GTA 6 is released.
I grew up with GTA 3 and it used to be my first GTA I have ever played. I do have to admit though, that I have never finished the game. Well, I didnt even make it to the second Island. I usually just drove around, did some roleplay (pretented to be a cop, firefighter, Taxi Driver or something like that) and just killed NPCs.

Right now Im in the middle of the story and besides Nostalgia, its actually a pretty awful game. You can tell, it didnt age well at all.

I wish I could love it like I used to but thats not possible at all. Without GTA 3 there wouldnt be a GTA 6 but I really just dont have fun at all.

I love the Map and I really love the atmosphere but besides that I can only complain about the game.

First of all, you can actually miss alot of missions if you dont pay attention. I couldnt finish all Joey missions because I already killed Salvatore. So you actually have to follow a guide if you really want to 100% the game. (The ingame time was too late to start the Joey mission so I drove to Salvatore, I didnt expect this outcome)

Second of all, the cars are awful and explode very easily. Even the Races are not balanced at all. Your car is getting destroyed so quickly so you have to be extra careful but at the same time, gangs are also always shooting at you which makes it even less fun.

Third of all, the missions have a very bad design aswell. You barely have any time for lots of missions. I had to deliver 3 cars for Kenji and failed several times because the time ran out. Failed alot of missions in general because of time issues and RNG. Driving around in a mission because you have to go from point A to point B, just to get exploded by a gang member who shot at your car with a shotgung is insane.

Last but not least, the story also doesnt make any sense. Technically its a revenge story but obviously that wasnt Claudes first intention when he started to do a couple of tasks for the mafia. Claude luckily made an escape from the police, did a few tasks here and there for several families, found out about his ex girlfriend and got his revenge on her. Claude is a nobody in the GTA 3 universe and for several times you ask yourself, why is he doing all of that?

Lets just say that my 6 year old ME had more fun at the game than I have now.
Luckily Vice City and San Andreas did it much better.

I will finish the game no matter what, but my focus will only be on the main story.

PS.: I decided to not do any side missions in this game anymore because it just doesnt feel right. I finished the Firefighter mission but Im not wasting any more time in this game than needed. Taxi, Ambulance, Police? Im not doing that. Even though I really loved it in GTA Vice City.

This game is very much a product of its time. Those who choose to play this game absent of the nostalgia whom many of us, of a certain age group, have for this game, will find it woefully under-whelming.
Even when dawning the rose tinted glasses of nostalgia, it is at best ok.

When judged by modern standards, be it writing, gameplay, open-world design and activity etc.... it falls short, but without this seminal, cultural and technological master piece of its time, It is arguable that the modern standards that we enjoy and have come to expect might not exist.

Definitivní edice GTA 3 je náhodou i přes negativní recenze super. Trochu mě mrzí, že si člověk od startu musí dávat pozor na chronologii misí, protože lze některé mise opomenout a pak již spustit nejdou => 100% hry dosáhnout nejde. Repetetivní mise jsou fajn, ale třeba na prvním ostrově (Portland) si po útěku s Asukou a Marií (mise Last Requests) a až po zabití [spoiler] Salvatore Leone [/spoiler] znepřátelíte [spoiler] siciliskou mafii [/spoiler] a ti se spawnují v severovýchodní části ostrova. Což je ok do doby, než do vás 2 z nich při jízdě začnou střílet upilovanou brokovnicí (stačí 3-4 rány). Takže vám auto udělá bum a když máte achievement na repetetivní mise - jednoduše se vám to nepodaří. Proto je hned ze startu nutné splnit tyto části. Rozdíly jsou oproti dalším dílům taky v tom, že se vám u těchto typů misí resetuje čas. Nemůžete mít u Vigilante mise 1 hodinu času. Takže kolikrát máte 2-4 minuty a v safehouse máte třeba bribe hvězdičky, ale ty zkrátka nestihnete vyzvednout. Tuhle hru vnímám jako průlom v herních dějinách a zároveň i jako díl skládačky. Nyní jsem tuhle hru dohrál na Xbox One X, Playstation 4 Pro a PC. Next stop Nintendo Switch 1/2.

I'm not sure where the heat for these remasters comes from. Maybe they were worst at release. But they're fantastic now! Keeps original look and feel. Touches things up and makes them playable on controller.

Though they aren't worth 50 dollars! I got it on steam sale for under 20. That's the sweet spot for something like this.

Tragedia.. bugi, AI ruchu ulicznego okropne jak i jego fizyka, ciągły chaos na drogach, im dalej w grze tym bardziej absurdalny. Gra więcej irytuje niż cieszy, często niemal niegrywalna.. Mimo chęci ukończenia całej oświeżonej trylogii, straciłem resztki cierpliwość do tej części.. Może kiedyś się zmuszę by dokończyć.

Insgesamt ist das Remaster echt in Ordnung, habe es zu 100% durchgespielt. Bei mir lief alles stabil und ich hatte keine nervigen Bugs oder Abstürze.
Die Grafik ist am Anfang etwas ungewohnt und teilweise ein bisschen komisch, aber man gewöhnt sich dran. Das Spiel macht immer noch viel Spaß.
Was ich aber absolut nicht verstehe, ist der Online-Zwang bei so einem alten Singleplayer-Spiel..

This game probably doesn't need any in-depth introductions. It's mostly the same good old GTA III with some quality of life improvements (better car handling, better map, better aiming etc.). Visuals are nice and sharp, game has good looking shadows, reflections, lightning...
I definitely prefer this version over original, although there's nothing wrong with original also. But playing with better framerate and sharper graphics is already better. And since gameplay is mostly same there's no reason for me to play old version anymore.

Avec cette version on retrouve le jeu avec quelques petites améliorations graphiques qui permettent de redécouvrir ou simplement découvrir ce joyaux. Meilleures textures, meilleurs effets, meilleures modélisations des personnages principaux mais en gardant l'esprit d'origine, amélioration de l'interface et bien d'autres optimisations. C'est donc à ce jour la meilleure façon de jouer à GTA III. Attention le jeu marque son âge tout de même en dépit du travail réalisé par Rockstar.

On retrouve avec plaisir Liberty City dans cette livrée améliorée et on repars en vadrouille dans ces rues maintes fois empruntées. Le jeu nous offre de nombreuses missions principale et secondaires pour notre plus grand plaisir. L'humour est omniprésent et le scénario très réussi dans cet univers de gangs aux multiples rebondissements.

On découvre petit à petit la zone de jeu qui s'étend au fil des missions. Alors que l'intrigue avance on débloque les îles. On part en exploration pour trouver les paquets cachés, on s'entraîne à réaliser les sauts cachés, on réalise les défis en tous genres afin de prétendre au sésame ultime ^^ les 100%.

Au final il s'agit pour moi de la meilleure façon de jouer à GTA III à ce jour. Le travail est soigné et les améliorations sont appréciables. Je n'ai pas trouvé GTA III vendu seul du coup il est souvent proposé en pack de trois jeux avec Vice City et San Andreas. Alors, 60 euros pour les 3 jeux c'est cher payé? Peut-être un peu mais vu la durée de vie des trois jeux, pas tant que ça... Mais la trilogie est régulièrement proposée pour 20 euros et du coup c'est nettement plus intéressant ^^. A ce tarif, n'hésitez pas pour découvrir ou redécouvrir ce trois monuments.

For me, this is GTA III's definitive experience. The upgrades are polished and worthwhile. Since it's rarely sold separately, the trilogy bundle (with Vice City and San Andreas) is the way to go. At €60? A tad pricey... but given the playtime, not outrageous. Luckily, it often drops to €20, an absolute steal ^^. At that price? Don't hesitate to revisit these landmarks.

A complete remake of the original, the game mechanics work very well, with only a few bugs and issues. Many of the original's annoying systems are almost perfectly replicated. For me, this isn't a flaw, but a challenge. However, for new players, it may be too annoying or even difficult. The game's specific nature requires a specific approach. There are a few features not found in the original version. The only real issue is the graphics; the characters look ridiculous, unnatural, and don't fit either the original or this version. It's tolerable, but it's a sad sight.

Цель данной игры - проверка нервной системы игрока на прочность.
К сожалению или к счастью, впервые прошёл GTA 3 я только в 2026 году.
Очень слабый ремастер в отличий от той же Vice City.
Скрипты и NPC в игре буквально мешают тебе всю игру, делая прохождение порой очень трудной задачкой.
Добил только ради того, чтобы "закрыть гештальт".
Современному игроку рекомендую даже не соваться сюда, это практически не играбельно в нынешних реалиях, к сожалению нужны исправления.

GTA 3 Definitive Edition — это настоящая классика, которая заложила основу всей серии открытых миров. Если вы фанат GTA или просто любите старый добрый криминал в стиле 2001 года, то это must-play.

Я сейчас на финальной стадии 100% прохождения и всех достижений (King of Liberty City уже в кармане!), и это реально затягивает.

Ремастер добавил HD-текстуры, новую систему освещения, колесо оружия и кучу QoL-фиксов — Liberty City выглядит свежо даже в 2026-м, а дождь и неоновая атмосфера на высоте. Сюжет простой (молчащий протагонист мстит в мафиозном городе), но миссии эпичные — от угона тачек до перестрелок с Triads. Ностальгия + современные улучшения = идеальный баланс.

После всех обновлений баги ушли, и это отполированный бриллиант для новых игроков. Берите, не пожалеете — особенно если любите челленджи и коллекционирование!

Oyun da tek değişiklik grafik olmuş. Oyun tamamen aynı. Pek fazla önemli değil ama yine de grafiklerin geliştirilmesi güzel olmuş. Oyunda görevler gittikçe zorlaşıyor . Ben de bu yüzden oyunu tamamlamadan bitirdim. Onun dışında sadece görev yaparak oynadım. Zaten pek büyük bir haritası da yok. Yani açık dünya yönünden biraz eksik kalıyor. Ve birde npc yapay zekası da kötü. Keşke ona bir el atsalarmış. Yani kısaca sadece grafikleri elden geçirip 30 yıllık oyunu bütün hatalarıyla piyasaya sürmüşler. Yine de güzeldi. İlk defa oynadım, orijinal versiyonunu oynamamıştım. Oynadığım süre boyunca da zevk aldım.

Of the three games in the collection, this is the one I hoped that the quality of life improvements would justify its existence.

The Pros:

-Native controller support with the option for a modern or classic control scheme.
-Aiming and camera controls vastly improved.
-Radial menus for switching weapons and radio stations.
-An actual map of the city in the pause menu.
-Checkpoints that let you restart failed missions without having to reload a save and drive back to the mission giver.

The Cons:

Sprint is completely busted. In the original GTA III Claude would gain more stamina each time you hold the sprint button. In this version he runs a shorter distance before losing his breath, and gains no extra stamina over time, making the on foot sections miserable. In the original version you could also tap the button to sprint infinitely, which I always assumed was an unintended bug so I don't mind it being removed, but never being able to sprint longer than 3 seconds unless you complete the paramedic side missions first is an unforgiveable game breaking gimp in my opinion.

The AI will bug out and cause automatic mission fails on occasion. After failing the mission 'Chaperone' three times in a row because Maria would get stuck running to the limo while the police show up, I put down the controller and decided to write this review. The original GTA III was never exactly known for being smooth and intuitive, but it was also never so sloppy that fail states occurred out of the players control.

The new graphics look like ass, come at me all you want for that take, but the muted gray color scheme from GTA III was a signature look. The high contrast colors in this version suck the gritty atmosphere out from the world.

Several songs are missing from the radio stations. There's a mod that fixes this.

I'm bummed and I don't know if I'll finish this playthrough. GTA III more than deserves a proper remastering and I'd like to think someday Rockstar will still make good on that, but I'm not holding my breath anymore.

Советую поиграть в эту игру не из-за хорошего геймплея, сюжета и тд. Ведь миссии однотипные и скучные, сюжет банальный, а геймплей местами раздражает.

В эту игру нужно поиграть из-за её культовости. Ведь ни одна игра в мире не сделала большего вклада для индустрии чем гта 3. И прикоснуться к этой легенде своими руками - действительно того стоит...

只说缺点。系列首部 3D 作品，具有独特的历史意义和地位，但是完全不推荐在现在的环境下游玩。整个游玩的感觉就像是我小时候用 GB 模拟器玩的 GTA 的单纯 3D 化。

剧情单调，角色单薄。作为想要强调“代入感”的设计，哑巴主角反而不能让人代入（或者说理解）——接人顶着牢骚就当司机了，杀人蒙着头就提枪干了，反水二话不说就翻脸了。搞不清楚这个人的心理活动和行为动机是什么，看不出思考，看不出情绪，基本是其他人的工具与棋子。
整个剧情的过程就是，认识人，做两个任务；临近结尾认识下一个人，做两个任务。卡特琳娜的仇已经是若有似无的背景板，只在临近结尾的时候回收了一下。虽然 GTA 剧情框架大致都是如此，但是这部的白描式的演绎还是让人感到无聊与疲劳。

那剧情在自由城打拼这么久，通关之后，总得有点反馈吧。是手掌大权的从容、大获成功的喜悦、复仇的爽快，还是丧失的空虚？不不不，都不是。
随着剧情的逐步发展，咱可谓是把自由城的各大势力得罪了个遍，关键是空洞哑巴主角也没这个本事硬刚或者斩草除根。通关时，可以用四个字完美形容——过街老鼠。只是单纯地走在街上，主角就会被源源不断刷新的敌方势力围追堵截，一旦被掣住更是雪上加霜，小兵会空降一般把主角团团围住，致其遗憾升天。
那有人要问了：我们飙车快速穿越是不是可以突破火线？这就涉及到另一个重量级设计：纸糊的载具。街上小兵哐哐两喷，你的座驾就得开始冒火。当你狼狈地爬出时候，又已经被小兵团团包围——没人知道群龙无首的帮派是怎么能比警察效率还高的，只知道主角不受自由城任何人的待见。

还有任务设计的粗糙。绝大多数任务都属于三板斧轮流砸：单纯地抢车，单纯地谋杀，单纯地接人。
限时任务又一抓一大把，用脚填写的极其严苛的时间限制，配合前面提到的“过街老鼠”机制，当你火急火燎地做任务，快做完了又被随机的小兵两喷带走，如此反反复复复复反反，只想设计玩法的人也尝尝汽车炸弹。

写到这里我已经力竭了，不愿再回忆种种折磨的细节。总之想玩游戏的右转 VC SA，三代没后来者流行是有理由的。更像是一个 3D GTA 的大型试水作，还需要后两部的演进和补完。

Macht Spaß, man merkt aber schnell, dass es ein altes Spiel ist.
-Checkponits in Rennen und ähnlichen sind furchtbar
-Das man auf der ersten Seite später mit ner Schrott gekillt wird, bei Sichtkontakt, nervt sehr
-Das gefühlt überall jeder auf einen Schießt, selbst beim bloßen Vorbeifahren, ist sehr nervig
-Missionsbeschreibungen fehlen manchmal komplett. ich Empfehle eine Komplettlösung
-Fahrzeugsteuerung ist furchtbar, bei den meisten Fahrzeugen

Aber so macht das Spiel Spaß, es wirkt immer noch schön und auch die Mission sind schön zu spielen.

До сих пор помню как сыграл в эту игру первый раз у друга на квадратном TFT монике с диким временем отклика по нынешним временам который прибавлял этот смазанный эффект дымке Либерти Сити.

Для меня эта серия (трилогия) нечто большее чем просто игра, сколько было потрачено на эти игры времени и не сосчитать уже, сколько было накачено модов с дисков игровых журналов того времени, а после скачанных на просторах интернета (когда он наконец у меня появился). Трёшка не стала для меня любимой игрой в свое время в этой серии, тут я больше все же склоняюсь к Вайс Сити, она прямо попала в мое сердечко, но проходя неоднократно сюжетку с годами я стал относиться к первой игре в это трилогии совершенно по другому. Проходя игру на 100% сейчас она открылась совсем с другой стороны, многие задания были реально сложными, мафия с дробашами которые выносят твое авто с 2-3 выстрелов это вообще полный атас, в игре оказалось много нычек и подъемов на здания. В общем перейду наверное уже к оценке этому так называемому ремастеру. Сразу скажу что с год+ назад проходил классическую игру с доп. модами на графику пс2 + доработки к ПК версии с консолей и это было очень не плохо даже на сегодняшний день, поэтому есть так сказать с чем сравнить.

Первые минуты складывалось ощущение что чего то не хватает, тумана во первых, во вторых все персонажи в игре как будто с эффектом пластика/пластелина, но приигравшись глаз начинает привыкать и в принципе ты уже не обращаешь на это внимание. Зато что порадовало так это отражения, новые эффекты, погода выглядят на сегодня великолепно. С патчами поправили многие рофляные графические баги, так что на сегодня по мне как игра выглядит хорошо. Сюжет остался не тронутым. Все перенесли как было в оригинале и это с одной стороны хорошо, с другой жаль что ничего не добавили, а ведь могли добавить/исправить. Так же раздражали баги на дороге (пути трафика), почему это не поправили не понятно, не поправили появление авто/пешеходов перед игроком это конечно все по оригиналу, но блин на дворе давно не 2001 памяти и цпу хватает чтобы сохранить трафик перед игроком. Зачем то убрали управление num падом, поэтому нормально взлететь и пролететь на додо я так и не смог (уже предвкушал что меня ждет в Вайс Сити), в остальном управление авто/лодками не вызвало нареканий, но тому индусу что пришла в голову мысль взлет повесить на кликание мышки и управление на неё же ящитаю надо пробить в душу за такое. Звук в игре подтянули, радио то же что и было хотелось бы чтобы закинули все таки 5-10 треков свежих с рокстаров бы не убыло, но спасибо как говориться что не испортили что было в оригинале.

В общем и целом наверное за сам ремастер в том виде что он уже есть на сегодня я бы поставил 7ку - я прошел с удовольствием включая все доп. миссии и прочее в игре было приятно проводить время, да были моменты когда хотелось задать вопрос индусам почему так? но все таки игра круто выглядит и приятно играется в 2026 году. Оригинальной игре я бы отдал всю 10ку, это прорыв своего времени. Целый мегаполис, 3 острова, живые нпс, куча машин ... целая песочница где ты можешь стать пожарником, полицейским и т.д. Рокстар сделали в свое время чудо при этом все это пахало на железе пс2, а после сели и за год слепили ... а в общем то это уже другая история!

Die KI´s von den NPC´s sind kompletter Müll, manche Missionen sind kaum spielbar, ohne zu ragequiten. Wenn ihr ein Oldschool Gta spielen wollt, dann kauft bitte San Andreas oder Vice City, aber tut euch nicht diesen Dreck an.

作为一个01年的游戏，确实有很多设计都过时了，玩起来纯纯折磨人，但你重置版就不能像sa一样削弱难度吗？出租车和救护车任务的时间给得紧巴巴，出租车任务还好不要求一次性做完，谁能懂救护任务npc刷在三合会地盘然后在等npc上车的时候被三合会的人拽下车任务结束的救赎，甚至拿个棒球棒的npc一棍下去十多滴血，近战比手枪伤害还高，存档也没有vc和sa的自动回血。更不用说做完大结局之后完全不用打开游戏了，到处都是追着你打的帮派。sa都是玩到飞机驾校才开始红温，而3代在前期就能破防

grand theft auto III is a very dated game by today's standards, but it is the game that set the standard for the entire genre, as such, it kind of has to be dated. the world design surprisingly holds up very well, with each island having a unique vibe, portland is grimey, industrial, and houses pretty poor cars, staunton island is a metropolis and houses sports cars, and shoreside vale is a nice middle ground. there's a ton of shortcuts and while it feels a lot more video game-y than even something like san andreas' map, it still comes together to create a cohesive and believable world.

despite this, i don't know if i can recommend it; its missions range from incredibly basic to downright impossible or just based on how lucky you can get. the story, whilst interesting at times, is ultimately pretty poorly laid out, and serves as a means to provide reason to claude's weird escapades. there is little to no reason to go back to this title beyond curiosity for grand theft auto's humble beginnings.

O primeiro em ordem de lançamento e o último na ordem cronológica: Grande Ladrão Automático III.

Esse jogo é muito mais “cru” do que seus sucessores — o que já era esperado, por ter sido o primeiro GTA no estilo 3D. Confesso que fiquei surpreso com o fato de ele ser extremamente curto, mas isso não chega a ser um ponto negativo, especialmente porque sua história é simples e pouco surpreendente. Diferente dos jogos que vieram depois, aqui a narrativa adota um tom mais sério. Existem algumas cenas de humor — breves, mas funcionais.

As missões mantêm a mesma essência: diversão. Apesar de seguirem a estrutura clássica de ir do ponto A ao ponto B, não se tornam repetitivas ou cansativas. Com exceção das últimas, a maioria é bastante fácil, e você provavelmente conseguirá concluí-las na primeira tentativa, sem grandes dificuldades.

Agora, sobre esta versão do jogo: entre os três, posso dizer que GTA III apresenta o pior desempenho técnico. É relativamente comum que alguma missão bugue sem motivo aparente. Felizmente, o sistema de autosave funciona bem, permitindo reiniciá-las quando isso acontece. Ainda assim, é uma situação incômoda quando você só quer aproveitar o jogo. Não diria que isso comprometeu completamente minha experiência, mas continua sendo frustrante.

No geral, é um bom jogo e valeu a pena dar uma chance. Adorei a experiência de jogar essa trilogia do começo ao fim pela primeira vez.

Для своего года выпуска игра интересная. Но доп миссии душные. Разраб который решил дать мафии дробовики, что бы тебе падла зарплату горохом платили. Что касается машин, тут всё просто - они не рулятся. НПС за рулём хуже барана больного дцп. Вообщем рекомендую к прохождению!

I want to start off by saying that while I did play the original trilogy when I was a kid, I wasn't hooked by it, I can't remember if I did finish the story of GTA 3, but I do remember the final mission, so maybe I did, but then again, it didn't really impress my 12 year old self. Now, I have played GTA V and loved it, so when they released the definitive edition of the trilogy I said I'd give it another try, but we all know how that initial launch was, just awful. So I waited, not only for a sale but also for GSG to at least fix the bugs that made the games unplayable.

So now about 3 years later I've completed 100% of the game, and I gotta say, it isn't as bad as they say, there's a few things they could've fixed or added as QoL updates for a "Definitive" edition of the game, like the ridiculous power of the enemy shotguns and the weight of the cars, so you don't flip over every time you try to make a turn. But they added checkpoints, which is a huge deal, now you won't loose all your progress just because you forgot to save. The game now also has a weapon wheel and it contributes to a sense of consistency when playing the games back to back, at least gameplay-wise.

The graphics and gameplay are perfectly fine, the way I see it, GTA 3 is the most cartoony of the 3D games, limited by the technology of the time not only in the graphics sense but also the mechanics, gameplay, characters, etc. The story to me is quite simple, characters come into the stage, do their thing and leave for the next one to enter, and at some point the story just sort of ends, and that isn't really a critique of the game mind you, but it just goes to show how old the game really is.

I am a huge fan of the Mafia games, and I really liked the first chapter/island when you are working for the Leone family, I only wished we could've spent more time with them, but hey LCS exists so I'm looking forward to that.

As a completionist I strongly recommend using a checklist to complete this thing, there's a ton of collectibles to find, and several side missions that will become a problem if you advance too much in the story. The most difficult for me was the paramedic mission, I spent around 2 weeks trying to complete it, but it truly felt rewarding once I managed to deliver that last patient.

In conclusion, an old gem that got polished for the new generations, in it's current state it is a great introduction to the GTA franchise, but make sure you get it on sale.

After completing 100%, I can definitely say that this game is worth it.

Perhaps this is the game that has benefited the most from DE. Checkpoints and a usable map + minimap are the best things.

After tweaking the settings, the game actually looks good. You definitely need a guide to 100% this game since it's really easy to lock yourself out by missing some missions.

For €20, these three games are definitely worth it.

Очень атмосферная и полюбившееся мне часть. Никогда не думал, что по совету друга пройдя её на 100% скажу это, но это правда. Эти миссии, эта атмосфера и просто кайфовое времяпровождение. Проходя её даже не возникала мысль, что хочется уже закрыть и пойти в какую-нибудь другую часть и забить на прогресс.
