Godsworn is a classic mythological RTS. Experience an epic fantasy retelling of the northern crusades, where pagan gods and their tribes clash against crusaders and armies of heaven. Choose a divine hero, rally worshippers alongside mythical creatures, and smite the unworthy!

Storyline

The wild pagan lands have been under the watchful eye of the gods for as long as time. The arrival of a knight order bearing the banner of heaven threatens to upset the uneasy alliance. Will the realm burn, or will blood of both divine and mortal be spilled to protect it?

I keep buying early access games and regretting most of them. This is one I definitely regret, and here is why:

1. This is obviously modelled after the style of warcraft, but it doesnt induce any of the feeling warcraft did.

2. the graphics are horrible. if you scale up the resolution, it gets better, but still unacceptable for a 2026 game. Upscaling makes the game burn your graphics card up. I have a modern rig with great hardware, and this isometric RTS turns the heat up on my GPU higher than modern first rate 3D ray tracing games!!! For a iso-RTS with low res graphics??? In-play, many of the graphics settings make little to no visual difference, like anti-aliasing.

3. the game feels like it should still be in alpha phase but like the programmers put just enough polish to make it clickable and the characters move. the first playable map gives you vague instructions and allies but no way to control them. you gain access to buildings and workers, but they stand idle, uncontrollable and unassignable to the buildings so you can summon the tree-building units. Damn, if they cant even make the very first playable map work properly, why is this even for sale yet?

4. the voice acting is off, not sure why, but it felt amateur and unprofessionally recorded.

5. I Liked the music in the menu, kinds inviting and strong. but then it just kept that same loop going thru gameplay. they have one loud and overbearing track that is run throughout the game, it appears. tho I do admit, I only played the first map before I couldnt take playing anymore.

6. Units were often difficult to distinguish visually.

7. the "gods" you play as can have their health crash hard with basic enemy attacks. a few seconds of not paying attention will get them killed.

8. the graphics are also plagued by compounding inability to smoothly scroll the gameview. moving that camera, even with the best of graphics settings to minimize all the tearing, jitteriness and other issues, still makes your brain hurt, your eyes bug out, and gives motion sickness and the feeling like you might have a seizure.

My opinion: This game is extremely basic, preying upon a general inclination in players to have warcraft style games revived. they are using that to prey upon your wallet with a cheap implementation that is missing basic functionality and broken functionality. This game is a huge disappointment, and I really wonder if all the reviews that are positive and claiming this game fills that warcraft niche arent paid/friends and fam/developer reviews just to pad the potential buyers mind with thoughts of nostalgia so they sink that coin into this pathetic hollow shell of a game.

об игре:
+ нестандартный сеттинг языческие божки VS христианская экспансия
+ метросексуальные божества, за которых мы играем. Освобождаем последователей, которые со слезами на глазах клянутся тебе в верности и после идут либо вкалывать в шахты, либо молиться и поститься, укрепляя твою веру и чувство собственной важности
+ приятная графика, в целом, читаемая
- ранний доступ, оптимизация, баланс, вылеты из игры в коопе
-отсутствие ру языка , впрочем, как и других языков помимо англа

Mesmo em desenvolvimento, os mapas deste jogo já são lindos. Gostei muito da lore báltica, pois traz algo diferente do que normalmente vemos. Os personagens e unidades também estão muito bons, desde a animação, arte, conceito e jogabilidade. No geral, cria uma ótima expectativa para o que ainda está por vir.

Extremely impressive work for the really small amount of people working on this game
It really does feel like a work in progress (both story mode and skirmish vs AI) but unlike many EA games, there is actually meat on the bones here, you can actually go play a match and feel like the features are working and the units are what they are meant to be, just missing polish and/or more variety
Also, I find interesting to make a fantasy RTS based on Vidilism and the Catholic influence on Baltic coastal states. Not very common, but I appreciate the new setting compared to "Elves, Orcs, Humans" fantasy RTS.
If you're unsure, just follow the project and wait for more updates, but I'll say the current content is worth the price.

Beautiful hero based RTS being developed by a small team. A bit rough around the edges (please for the love of god make the AI in the CooP campaign just follow my pings instead of whatever braindead routines they work on) but truly has great potential. Plus huge plus for being set in the Baltic/Slavic canon, really unique setting.

Honestly, one of my favorite games in recent memory. 8/10

The story mode is co-op and story it self kept me interested. It's challenging enough And if you have a friend to play with the experience is definitely better but the AI does its job.

The new act 2 of the story starts with a difficulty spike but the new Order missions are my new favorites. And cant wait for more!

I can't comment on the balance of the PvP multiplayer, but I've at least i had fun playing against the AI. Sometimes it hits you hard and sometimes it's child's play. Base builder at heart this game definitely caters to me.

i wish they would add a map maker and the ability make custom campaigns. I know this is not as simple as many would want to believe.

Godsworm is a very good RTS that delivers a truly dynamic and memorable experience. Each session feels intense and engaging as you lead your deity to victory. The pacing keeps you involved from start to finish.

One of the best features is the glyph system. Finding glyphs during the campaign or in single missions - which boost your army, buildings, and overall strategy - adds a strong layer of progression. Being able to use these glyphs in future sessions makes every run feel meaningful and rewarding.

However, I would like to see better balance between factions. For example, why can only the Teutonic faction upgrade their main building to Tier 3? And why does Michael have fewer buildings compared to the Bishop or Baltics? Some adjustments here could greatly improve competitive balance and replayability.

That said, the game clearly has strong development potential, and it’s obvious that the developers truly care about their project. I’m looking forward to seeing how it evolves.
