Did i ever tell you how much i hate Misty Lake?
When i try to lock in during a serious situation and not laugh, i think of Misty Lake.
When i try to get a highscore on the boxing machine, i think of Misty Lake.
When i stub my little toe, i blame Misty Lake.
During any minor inconvinience in my life, i blame Misty Lake.
If i want to go home early during work, i give myself a headache, by thinking of Misty Lake.
When i realized i had to go trough Misty Lake AGAIN to unlock the other half of the characters like i did on console, i nearly lost my damn mind and gave up.
Misty Lake caused such a big damage to my mental health that i will censor it from now on, just to keep the last bit of my Sanity, as i keep uttering the name of this atrocious excuse of a map.
M*sty Lake took the last bit of will to exist that remained in me.

M*sty Lake needs an urgent rework.

Otherwise, good game, pretty fun.

Unironically a great Mario Kart clone, but it has the 2hu girls instead. There's a decent course variety, albeit some janky physics and dumb "out-of-bounds" collision boxes on some levels. There's a TON of characters, but unfortunately, some are quite meta, and only about half of them are viable, like gap hag (Yukari) being the most busted, even though I can beat my friends with just Reimu and Sakuya (best girl) just fine. Game also runs on a toaster just fine and even is verified to run on the Deck so go get it!

The "tech" and skill ceiling of this game is relatively easy to learn, but hard to master which is perfect for any kart racer, and this is no different, but the items (and spell cards) do leave a bit to be desired, as some are more OP than others (see why I play Sakuya lol). Hilariously enough, the spell cards in this are about as unbalanced as the "special" items are in Mario Kart: Double Dash, a game this game takes heavy inspiration from (duh!).

The "campaign" is kind of needed to be played in order to unlock all the characters, but you end up going through most of the courses and it is the game's tutorial essentially so you definitely want to beat the campaign before playing online, which may detract a few people...

The online is non-existent sadly, albeit online play runs incredibly well. I really wish more people played this as its a solid game, so you'll have to either buy your friends this game to play with you or pray you find someone on the other side of the globe playing it online, which is unlikely as I've yet to see an open public lobby...

Game is fun, and outside of a few quirks, is great with friends online and runs on anything!

The asking price is a lot for a game this short of content, the visuals are pretty generic for a Touhou game seeing the amount of talented people who devote themselves to the universe. It's not a bad game, it's fun and it's interesting and that only makes it worse because you wish there'd be more to it than what it offers. I've got it on a 30% discount and i still feel like i can get better games with that money. I might pick this one up again when it drops further or at least gets twice the content it has now (cups, game modes or hell at least a visual overhaul)

[h1]唯一無二の東方レースゲーム[/h1]
筆者は記憶が確かならSteam版は2023年に購入し、その前にSwitch版もプレイ済です。
最近本作を掘り起こしてみて、せっかくなのでレビューも書くことにしました。

本作を一言で説明するならば、東方版マ○オカートです。(ダブルダッシュ!!みたいなもの？)
総勢20人+2人(キャンペーンモードクリア後に増える)のプレイヤーキャラの中から、
ライダー役とボード役の2キャラを選択し(レース中に役割を交換可能)、幻想郷中のサーキットを駆け抜けます。
機体性能はその時ボード役のキャラの性能で決まり、また、アイテムは2キャラで2個持てるため、戦略性は高いでしょう。

[h2]プレイヤーキャラについて[/h2]
紅魔郷～紺珠伝までのキャラの中から、最終的に22人登場します。(本作の発売時点で原作は鬼形獣まで出ている)
古株キャラに偏っているわけではないですが、人数としては特別多いわけではありません。
気にする方は、自身の推しキャラが含まれているかは事前に確認した方がよいでしょう。
なお、射命丸文はマ○カーで言えばジ○ゲムの役割です。プレイヤーキャラでも面白かったかもしれませんが…

[h2]ライダー役・ボード役のシステムについて[/h2]
本作のPVなどを見ればわかりますが、ボード役キャラは寝そべった体勢であり、登場キャラは皆スカートです。
もちろん、公認の二次創作なので、表現に問題はありません。

[h2]キャンペーンモードについて[/h2]
ストーリー鑑賞→レース(に勝利)を数回繰り返すとエンディング。
ただし、2回目のエンディングが本当のクリアで、その後にプレイヤーキャラが2人([spoiler]アリス・マーガトロイド、火焔猫燐[/spoiler])追加されます。
難易度としては(レースゲームが苦手でなければ)そこまで難しいわけではなく、2回目のエンディングまでは早ければ1時間程度、普通にやって2～3時間程度でしょうか。

[h2]BGMについて[/h2]
有名サークル達による東方アレンジ楽曲を収録。
レース中のBGMはインスト曲ですが、本作の主題歌「SKY DRIFT」はSOUND HOLICさんによるもので、ボーカルはNana Takahashiさんです。

[h2]総評[/h2]
「東方でレースゲーム」という点に強く惹かれるのでなければ、価格(定価2980円)に対して飽きるのは早そうではありますが、
それを考慮しても、東方二次創作として価値のあるゲームと言えます。
欲を言えば、もっとキャラを増やしてくれれば嬉しいのですが、レビュー投稿時点で5年以上前のゲームなので、もうアプデはないと思われます。
オフラインモードならカジュアルプレイ適性は高いので、セールの時にでもどうぞ～。

怎么说呢，想听歌看你推的cp互相踩着对方的话可以买一个，但是想玩赛车游戏的话emmmm
第一次玩键鼠党千万不要在设定界面乱点（指会被气死），点按键设置会卡住，点画面设置一直往下即可（Z：加速；X：刹车；C：随道具/用道具；V：换角色；空格：后视镜）
玩了10分钟，除了看了一下城管互踩，确实有点乏味嗷。

by the way，剧情模式对话会卡住，不觉得很那啥嘛，反正我不那么认为就是了。
目前来说60多小贵，希望制作组能继续更新吧。

Pretty fun mario kart double dash clone but touhou, just beware that this is a kart game the online is mostly dead, like most kart games released on PC.Which leaves us with time trial for asynchronous multiplayer and single player.

definitely one of the coolest touhou fan games out there.

I really wanted to like this but the controls were genuinely abysmal on controller (maybe that was my issue, but I hate playing racing games on keyboard). The drifts never felt right, and I just couldn't really get into it; I also just feel like the tracks were very poorly designed, especially the boat track. The only thing this game really had going for it was the aesthetic and just the concept of double dash but with touhou girls LMAO. For the pricetag, I wouldnt recommend this game tbh. Maybe if it was $5, $10 at MOST, but $24? genuinely insane. Dont waste your time with this one, even though It is really cute, it leaves one just generally disappointed

I bought this on a whim to see if it was good and unfortunately it is not. After completing the campaign there was nothing enjoyable beyond some asthetic things. Equally as unfortunate, it's difficult to rate a racing game without comparing it to every other racing game to have ever existed but I will try:

Largest Flaws (Not Track Related):
- The drifting feels awful it was obvious from track one, but became more apparent towards the latter tracks with harsher requires. It never really feels fight enough yet other times it feels like on specific terrain you can do a 90 degree turn into a wall. This is probably the biggest sin for a racing game to commit.

- The item balance is abysmal. There are what can be liberally defined as three item times, a straight forward attack, a defensive option, and speed boosts The offensive types, including homing attacks miss frequently and even if they hit they do very little, the defensive items do not last long and sometimes can be bypassed, and the speed types are the clear winner because they actually accomplish something. Each race consists of switching to your speed type character and hoping you pull speeds boosts because there's little else you can do to effect your odds of winning.

-The spell card system is neat and theory, especially with double dash item conservation, however, as they are accrued over time for achieving gates and not at specific map based intervals there are a lot of balance issues. Additonally, they are fully random. Attacks can hit you before you've even had the opportunity to have a defense built up, you can gain attacks in first place meaning you have wasted an item slot, you can gain defense items only effective in higher places while last. There are long stretches where there's no opportunity to garner items which means a single speedboost vs an attack can simply win the game in the final stretch. I noticed this particularly on Siersen. Additionally, there are character specific items and they can vary from being entirely useless, annoying, or simply being the best item in the game and they feel less balanced than the normal items.

Minor Flaws (Not Track Related)
-Checkpoints from falling off are really bad, sometimes placing you in unrecoverable scenarios.
- When retrying a campaign mission, you need to watch the cutscene again.
-The opening cutscene plays twice??????
-The placing ui is a little wonky.
-yukari is not unlocked by default and that makes me sad

Track Related Issues (apparently there were more than in the story, but the track select menu doesn't show pictures so I had no idea I had unlocked more because after picking the last one it gave me the 2nd track in the story):

-there are effectively a bunch beginner tracks where there is no skill involved and winning is basically item rng as there's no hard turns, obstacles, or shortcuts.

-Yokai Mountain, Frozen Lake, and Underworld depth have egregious issues with death planes, frequently overlapping with shortcuts or just killing you for getting too close to the track edge. There are some ramps that simply fail to work or ramps that don't launch correctly to continue the track. This issue is generally apparent through all tracks, but I felt like complaining about these three in particular.

-A lot of the shortcut paths either don't work because of death plane issues, extremely narrow windows, or simply requiring a 1 specific item in a batch of dozens. More annoyingly, some of them appear before you even have the chance to obtain items, even on point to point maps.

- Some tracks have misplaced signage or paths that do not feel to have a correct "flow". I felt this the hardest on Seirnsen which has several paths that appear to lead you straight but actually require sharp U-Turns with no signage, or tight turns that come up from over the horizon. This is worsened by the already poor feeling drifting.

PROS:
4 of the tracks looked really cool.

Gensou Skydrift no es la gran maravilla, pero es un juego bastante curioso, toma muchos aspectos de Sonic Riders y de Mario Kart Double Dash (mucho mas de este ultimo) y la ejecución no esta mal. Lo que si es un juego que no esta tan pulido como me gustaria y graficamente es medio feo en algunas pistas. Tendria que volver a rejugarme los modo historia en algun momento, pero siento que hay mejores opciones dentro del genero. One of the best Kart Racers I have ever played that I will never get to casually play with anyone cause my friends don't like Tou Hou. I have more hours on the Switch Port than I do here simply cause of convenience until I one day get a Steam Deck or similar portable gaming PC.

This is essentially a Tag Team Hoverboard Racing game where you tag partners to boost at the cost of being unable to steer while doing so (like kicking on a skateboard). Drifting doesn't give you a boost at the end but you have less deceleration from a boosted state while drifting so it is needed to maintain speed. This cost meter on the character you have but you can only build meter on the character you aren't driving by going through rings. This means you need to switch frequently to go fast but carefully to manage resources which also determine if you can get items. Emptying t1 or 2 recource bars can get you items the strength of which is tied to how many bars you spent on it. This can be done many times and late game you can get access to a Character unique item called a Spell Card that is usually very impactful. Characters have different stats for how tight they drift, how fast boosting can get, how fast accelleration is, etc... The game isn't exactly well balanced as some combinations of characters will just be better racers than others but hey that's true in Mario Kart of the Karts and characters as well.

I recommend this game to Tou Hou fans and Kart Racing enthusiasts that can get past the awkwardness of the Tag Hoverboard system. Not mechanical awkwardness, as the controls feel great. I mean the awkwardness of explaining to friends why you're playing the game where girls ride each other.

Back in the day, Touhou games, especially fangames, were beyond hard to get a hold of outside of Japan and the only way to play them was through downloads, with no real way to support artists. The whole movement to initially have them on PS4, then Switch, and simultaneously Steam has been a BLESSING. Alas, I had to play this game first, back in the day, before a way to buy it for an European like me was a thing. And I've played it A LOT. And loved it.
The hour count on here is low, unfortunately, as you can see it's barely 3 hours, the time it took me to replay through the story and do some runs against CPU, but I also own it on PS4, where I dunked a few more hours (not way to see that count, though, sadly), since I decided to defeat the CPU in every stage at the highest AI difficulty, using a subpar team (Cirno+Suwako, my dream team for this game), which took me hours, but I managed, eventually.

With that out of the way, you can rest assured I've played enough of this to be able to say where I'd recommend it or not. I can't make a technical review, I can't go into specifics, but it's fun. For a silly "what if we took the silly part of Touhou and applied it to a racing game where one girl hops on another's back as she flies to use her as a board?" project, it rocks. It plays well, the spell card system integrated in a a-la-Mario-Kart game works incredibly well, the music rocks, the stages are fun to play, it even got many updates that expanded it quite a bit compared to the original's Comiket (or Reitaisai, I can't recall which of the two events was the one where it first was released back in the day-) 's version... It's good, it's fun. I recommend it.
Sure, it's no masterpiece, it's quite short all in all and you can't compare it to, say, Crash Bandicoot Nitro Fueled, or a Mario Kart; they have a lot more content. Still, for a silly 2hu racing game, this couldn't be any better. And I pray for the day a sequel (or spiritual successor of the same quality) gets announced and produced. I'm here for it. I need it.

Solid Double Dash inspired Touhou Themed racing game. A little on the short side unless you want to dive into a discord-populated Multiplayer. (FYI there is a second "Campaign" after the first that's about as long as the first campaign, it unlocks more tracks and characters).

Courses are (Mostly) fun (There's a couple minor spots in some maps that could use a little tuning and Misty Lake in particular is a little too kill-zone happy), The music slaps (It's Touhou Music, if it doesn't there's a problem!), The item balance is fine (and meter based so there's a bit more play and counterplay), and the "Driving" (Flying) mechanics feel great! Its fun to zoom along walls and ceilings, make tight street turns or catching some serious air!

It Might be worth waiting on a sale if game length is a concern to you, but its more due to lack of content than any quality concerns.

This is actually a pretty fun racer. The fact that it has ZERO voice acting brings a small amount of soulless character to it. That aside, the game play has enough here to keep you playing (at least for the campaign courses and character unlocks) and inviting a friend (or two, if you're lucky!) to a couple versus races can be fun and rewarding.

Worth it at 30% off if you like grinding time trial, otherwise more like 70%. The story mode might as well not be there and the online for a 4 year old fan game is, well, you know. But it controls very well, most of the the stages are good and the music is fire, plus watching Alice Marisaboard around the corner doesn't really stop being funny.

EDIT: game's more fun than I thought, actually. There's three things to keep in mind when switching:
1. Your two characters handle differently.
2. You can't steer for a moment while they switch, but every time they do you get a speed boost.
3. Switching takes a little energy and only the rider's gauge recharges.

So to get the most speed boosts you actually wanna switch spam whenever you can, but in the end you still wanna be on the right one at the right time so you can speed around moderate curves on Marisa and make sharp corners on Alice. Except sometimes it's better to try and make the corner on Marisa while Alice recharges, because you need them both to have energy so you can switch spam again later. The constant three-way balancing act between handling, recharging and boosting makes for really engaging gameplay.

Divertido, rápido e diferente, se você curte touhou e/ou jogos de corrida com power'ups provavelmente vai gostar desse aqui. Visualmente ele é ok, nada mais, efeito sonoros são bons, as musicas são ótimas, e os 2 pontos mais altos são as personagens (que você escolhe 2 por corrida e pode alternar entre elas nas corridas) que possuem especiais diferentes e ainda tem umas secretas pra liberar jogando, e o outro ponto alto são as pistas que são bem criativas e coloridas.

とても良いコンセプトですが、ところどころ惜しいです！東方Projectのレースゲームは、二次創作でもあまり耳にしないので良いところを突いているとは思いますが……！

良い点
・東方Projectが題材になっている。
・内容がわかりやすい。
・システムは二人のキャラクターを使い分けるというものが採用されている。ゲームキューブのマ◯オカート？！

悪い点
・少し作りが甘いです。演出が少し足りない気がします！特にコース外に出てしまったとき、ニンテンドウ64のト◯プギアシリーズのように、効果音などもなく何もなかったかのようにコースに戻されてしまうので、少し地味な感じがしてしまいます。ラップ数を教えてくれる文さんが、コースに戻してくれるような演出はあったほうが良いのでは……。
・メニュー画面で操作が上下逆になっているので一瞬戸惑います。
・キャンペーンモードに登場する既にあるチームの組み合わせが謎です。フランドールとクラウンピースは狂気繋がりなのかもしれませんが、天子と諏訪子の組み合わせに至ってはピクシブ百科辞典にすら載っていません……。もしかしたら私の知識不足かもしれません……。
・キャンペーンモードでは使用しなければならないキャラが決まっているのですが、キャラのステータスなどをレース前で確認できたら良いかと思います。「このコースならこのキャラを使ったほうが有利だ」などということを考えるのもこのゲームの重要なところだと思うので、キャンペーンモードをまともにプレイするにはキャラ一人一人のステータスを覚える必要がありそうです……。
・全体的に色が明るすぎて目が痛くなります。特に白玉楼コースと霧の湖コースは大変でした。
・値段が少々高いです。私はセールで買いましたが、定価3000円は少し強気な気がします。高くても1700円くらいが妥当だと思います。

総評
良いゲームです。東方好きでなくても十分楽しめるとは思いますが、少しやり込むと粗が見えてきてしまいます。そのような細かいところを気にしなければ、とても楽しめる一作となっております！

N'achetez pas. Prix beaucoup trop cher pour un jeu aux graphismes type PS2 avec un mapping à refaire systématiquement à chaque fois que vous lancez le jeu (sans compter que si on mappe la touche pour avancer sur RT, vous devrez accepter sur le menu avec RT au lieu de A) et tout ça pour un jeu type Mario Kart, où il n'y a aucun joueur car déjà que Touhou c'est niche, le prix rebute beaucoup de monde donc le multi vous pouvez oubliez ou alors c'est toujours les mêmes tryharders qui ont faire le circuit pour la 15 768ème fois (au moment où j'écris ces lignes, il y a 6 personnes in-games, pas en ligne, in-game), où les raccourcis sont une purges à apprendre et les bonus anecdotiques très honnêtement. Les mises à jours, vous oubliez également genre y'a une nouvelle map toutes les demi-Lune et c'est tout. C'est un jeu un peu sympa sans plus avec des dévs qui, au lieu de diminuer le prix du jeu qui est à 22 balles de base, alors que Battlebit Remastered c'est 15 par exemple, préfèrent scam ceux qui achètent avec un jeu vide de joueurs alors qu'un Mario Kart t'y joues pas juste pour jouer avec des IA pas ouf.

tl;dr: The gameplay is alright and the music is great, but it's not that tough and there's not a lot to do. If you're interested, wait for a sale.

Okay, so it's not that the gameplay itself is bad, it's a little plain, but the controls seem to have some nuance I'm missing if Time Trial records are anything to go off. All the characters have their own stats for when they're the board, which I only found out after clearing the first campaign (I just thought I was doing something wrong the whole time). The controller configuration was properly translated to English at some point, which I'm seeing come up in the older reviews, so no problems there. So why am I rating this negatively?
Well, there's just not a whole lot to do. The main campaign is ten tracks long and if you've played really any kart-racer before, you'll probably clear it in under an hour. Last Words are something that I only got to use a couple times. Due to how long they take to charge, it's unlikely you'll see one before lap 3, and by then it's usually too late for their minimal effects to make a difference. The A.I in campaign doesn't prove to be much of a challenge and I only failed two races, which was moreso due to me not knowing the characters had different stats until after I cleared the game.
Minor Spoilers: [spoiler]Once you've cleared the campaign, you unlock a second campaign with harder tracks. This is where the game shines in my opinion, since you play through it as one pair of characters instead of going down the whole roster. The tracks on show in campaign two are also more technical, with more sharp turns that actually gave me a reason to swap characters. You also unlock two extra characters and four more tracks for clearing campaign two.[/spoiler]
The online servers are all but dead as well, but that's to be expected for a three year old game in a niche community. This does mean that after you finish the campaign, you're really only left with Time Trials.
In general, there's just not a whole lot here, but what's here is fun, if a little lacking. If you still wanna pick it up, wait for a sale.

Gensou Skydrift is essentially a fanmade fusion of Mario Kart Double Dash and the Touhou Project. It's Mario Kart, but with anime girls, and that's the simplest way to describe it. You can mix-and-match any two characters, however instead of karts, one literally just stands on top of the other, and you can switch which one is riding which mid-race (look, there's no way I can word this well). Each character also has her own spell card in addition to the items in rotation, however I'm not exactly sure if it's just in rotation, or if there's a specific criteria to activate it. Regardless, items are not obtained through item boxes, and are instead obtained by filling a meter, which is done by driving through rings on the track (which also provide a speed boost).

The campaign is very short, and admittedly, the plot is just alright, but it's a mario kart-inspired game, so if you expect some thrilling storyline, that's on you lmao

That's really the only downside. The soundtrack, as expected of a touhou game, is phenomenal, and lives up to the quality of the official remixes in the Twilight Frontier spinoffs, while retaining the feel that it belongs in a racing game. The character artwork and models are very nice as well. All of the tracks look amazing, and are perfectly up to par with standard mario kart tracks. One in particular, [spoiler]Sea of Tranquility[/spoiler], is one of if not my favorite track I have ever played.

The main complaint in negative reviews of this game is the price, but in reality, the price perfectly fits what's given. After you unlock ALL characters and tracks [spoiler](this is done by completing the campaign TWICE)[/spoiler], you have 26 characters and 21 tracks. Comparing this to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which is 3x the price of this game, MK8D has 43 characters, and 48 tracks (without DLC). So, for 1/3 of it's price, you get over half, almost 2/3 of the characters, and a little under double the tracks. Sales are nice, obviously, but the game fits it's price very well compared to the latest version of what's inspired it.

All in all, the game aims to be a Touhou spinoff of Mario Kart, and the game does just that very well, often excelling at it's goal. Highly recommend, especially to Touhou fans.

点子不错，手感奇烂，转个弯把手柄都快掰坏了都转不过去，长路段还可以提前就转，连续弯道根本转不过去，转角还全是90度左右转，转了十几秒才转四五十度，这什么奇葩设计。

Buen juego, el malo soy yo.

Nagatoro no es el peor anime que he visto, ese es School Days, pero si hiciera un Top 10 de los peores que me ha tocado ver, seguro entraría. Tiene muchas de las razones por las que casi no me gusta ver anime.

Aunque total, lo que me pagaron por verlo lo gasté en el regalo de cumpleaños de mi hermana menor. Ella está feliz y por ende yo también.

Fun cart racer with sick music. I would only recommend buying this on sale though. The game is pretty shallow and the campaign look me less than an hour with a few retries.

Has a very hard time recognizing Xbox gamepad input. Crashed twice 10 minutes into buying and playing. Sometimes wouldn't recognize any input at all.
I refunded this because it was just unplayable.
I'm sure the console version are fine and fun, but this port needs some work.

Sorry I'll stop. But good game, reminds me of my childhood playing games like Mario Kart and Crash Tag Team Racing. I would probably wait for it to be on sale though, but still a fun little game to play :)

コンセプトや手に馴染む操作性は悪くなく、正直言って好みな方です。
ただ後になればなるほどステージの作りが大味になってくるというか、「そこ引っかかるの！？」と思うような理不尽な作りになってる感じがどうも否めません。飛んだり跳ねたりしたら難しい…のは確かなのですが、それだけしかないのがもったいない。その分視認性の悪さや細かい引っ掛かりや「惜しい」作りが多々目立ったのが残念です。
