Gems of the Aztecs is like any other match 3 game, if it did it in unique ways. Only the unique ways it does match 3 in every way is mediocre.
The mechanics are not unique. Worse, the mechanics it does take from every other game are worse than them. When you finally do make matches of 5 or more, the effects are subpar. The game honestly, doesn't really challenge much, because it doesn't really require much but to get through it. Plus it has really high barriers for passing certain areas. The best part of those thresholds are you can just purchase them. There's absolutely no balance to the game.
The ending of levels when you finish with extra moves or extra time, are animated very slowly and there's no way to go faster. You can't change many options. Overall it was a disappointment.
The game does have 120 levels so if you do have it for some reason, it'll kill a few hours.
But do I recommend buying it? Absolutely not.
I can't review the music, because I was watching movies while playing the game. It didn't require enough attention to play except on the few levels with timelimits, and even then, I was able to do it while watching movies.
TLDR; not worth it. Get it in a bundle because you have other things you want, but otherwise, hard pass.

Не знаю, рекомендовать Вам эту игру или нет. С одной стороны, типичный геймплей для игр "три в ряд", красивая графика. С другой стороны, на Windows 11 в игре не работает звук, и, учитывая нишевость игры непонятно, будет ли этот баг исправлен или нет. Из достоинств игры выделю большое количество уровней (их больше 300 штук). Покупать эту игру или нет, решайте сами. Какой-то испанец в руководствах вообще написал, что она бесплатная на фейсбуке)))

Pues bien, \Gems of the Aztecs\ intenta ser encantador con sus rompecabezas estilo match-3, empacados en un ambiente supuestamente azteca. La promesa de descubrir tesoros ocultos y la satisfacción de completar niveles complicados tienen su mérito. La combinación de colores chillones y objetos brillantes definitivamente captura la atención, por lo menos durante los primeros cinco minutos.

Ahora, siendo honestos, este juego necesita una buena lustrada en varias áreas. Empezando por los gráficos que gritan \¡socorro!, estoy atrapado en el siglo pasado\. No vamos a olvidar la música, que en vez de sumergirte en el mundo azteca, te hace sentir como en un elevador perpetuo.

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

This is not the best match 3 game, however if you love match 3 games this is really a fun game. There is no sounds and somewhat of a story. There are 120 levels to complete and takes approximately 6 hours to complete. I would not recommend paying so much for this game. I think you need to get it on a major sale of at least 80% discount.

Classic 3 in a row.
Beautiful crystals, lots of colorful effects, bonuses, many levels and even a plot plot... That's just this plot plot comes to naught in the end, and we just go through the levels.
The effects are different from the explosion go very slowly and after the end of the level they still have to do their own animation together with the bonuses, and this is 5-30 seconds every time.
The number of levels is really very large and there are no cloud saves.
I passed 3/4 levels and after changing the computer I thought to continue the game... But figs! Start over.

Great game!Very enjoyable match 3 game.Levels are very easy to begin until level 33 which all of a sudden gets very tricky to beat.After that level looks so far to be "plain sailing" so to speak.

Классическая до мозга костей казуальная игра в жанре Три-в-ряд. Ничего нового здесь не увидите. Геймплей понятен и интуитивен. Задачи ставятся разные. Разбить определённое количество клеток, опустить фигуры до низа поля, разбить камни, разрушая рядом с ними фигуры, и т.д. Всё по-классике. Постепенно уровни усложняются. Плитки, что нужно уничтожать, становятся многослойными, а камни крепче; фигуры, которые требуется опустить вниз поля, с каждым ходом делают подъём, и далее, в том же духе. На некоторые уровни отводится определённое время, но большую часть из них необходимо пройти за отведённое количество ходов. И вот тут немного странная ситуация. Уровни не обладают высокой сложностью, и большинство из них вы проходите использовав половину ходов, а то и меньше. Но чем быстрее вы пройдёте уровень, и чем меньше используете ходов, получите меньше очков, соответственно и звёзд за прохождение уровня получите меньше. А звёзды нужны для разблокировки следующих пятнадцати уровней. Не соберёте соответствующее количество звёзд, не сможете продвинуться по уровням дальше. Таким образом вас не только поощряют затягивать игровой процесс, но даже вынуждают это делать. Я такое впервые встречаю.
В игре есть, как и полагается, разнообразные бустеры, облегчающие игровой процесс. Одни формируются в процессе игры, на поле, из сложенных конфигураций. Другие же, наиболее эффективные, нужно покупать за очки, полученные за прохождения уровней. Я спокойно обходился без вторых, изредка прибегая к их помощи, уровню так к сотому.
В общем, это абсолютно проходная казуалка, годящаяся в первую очередь, как таймкиллер. К музыке и визуалу в игре претензий нет, но так же на проходном уровне. В игре более сотни уровней, но хватит ли у вас терпения пройти их все, когда нет даже такого стимула как достижения? Зато есть дешёвые карточки. Если и брать эту игру, то для коллекции, и естественно по скидке. Полной цены она не стоит. Подобных игр полно на мобилках и браузерах.

A match 3 game with 120 levels to solve. It is not particularly great but also not awful at all. My main issue is mostly with just how quickly you can beat some of those levels and the game is not particularity hard at all.

Интереснейшая реализация 3-в-ряд, но насколько они первопроходцы в таком подходе я понятия не имею... То что здесь есть обратный счетчик ходов на самом деле не имеет значения. Для получения максимальных трех звезд потребуется использовать все ходы. Здесь так скажем поощряется "затягивание".
Уровней 320+ и есть скромная заставка, чтобы завлечь в игру, но есть одна большая проблема... давно я не видел таких игр, чтобы со старта не работал звук с музыкой. Я проверял настройки, двигал ползунки, не помогло. Как можно было так облажаться диву даюсь. Насколько знаю это порт с Андроида, но разве это оправдание?
И эта проблема далеко не единичная, на том же стимовском форуме по этому поводу даже ответил уже бывший разработчик, мол мы уже не поддерживаем игру. Я конечно понимаю, постоянно приглядывать за своим творением нельзя, но отчего-то мне кажется игрушка изначально была такой кривой... Если бы не этот момент, оценку бы поставил положительную.

・絵がカラフルで南国っぽい雰囲気
・様々な特殊ブロック
消せない、下まで落とさない消えない、周りを凍らせる等
・適当プレイでもそれなりにバンバン連鎖します
悪い所
・手数制限が基本なのに最速でクリアすると☆3取れないことがしばしば
狭いステージが特にその傾向あり
・ステージクリア後に設置されるボーナスボムの挙動がいい加減
・ステージ制なので繰り返し遊べない

普通よりはカジュアルなパズルゲームでした
上にも書いたとおり最速でクリアしてボーナスボム設置→いい加減に爆発
スコア稼げず☆3取れないというのが少しストレスでしたが
全体的には色々な要素があって面白かったです
個人的に実績がないのが残念です
あと何故かトレカが全部出るまでにかなりの時間がかかりました（返品対策？）

エンドレスモードなどがないので繰り返し遊ぶ感じではないです

Um jogo de combinar 3 muito entediante e muito mal feito.
Primeiro o áudio e a música não funcionam direito, a arte do jogo é mediana e o jogo não tem muito o que oferecer.]
São 120 fases que são praticamente a mesma coisa, não há uma variedade de desafios ou obstáculos, há poucas habilidades nada que te prenda ao jogo. O jogo é bem entediante em todos os sentidos.
Eu costumo sempre a comparar com Bejeweled que na minha opinião é um dos melhores jogos de combinar 3 e esse não nem de longe divertido como Bejeweled.
Deveria ser um jogo gratuito pois R$ 10,89 é extremamente caro para a porcaria entediante que esse jogo é.

Moi j'adore les matchs, mais sur ce site il n'y en a pas beaucoup ou pas en Français, ce qui est dommage car ce sont les mieux. Самая простая игрушка для обычного отвлечения от насущных проблем. Лично я играл в неё пока смотрел сериал. 120 уровней, не особо замысловатый сюжет. Единственное, довольно странно что в некоторых уровнях как-то нарушен баланс. Вся игра идёт легко и нормально, но в некоторые моменты ты резко не можешь пройти уровень ни на одну звезду. Ну, а также два ролика в начале и в конце расскажут весь сюжет игры.

[b]Purpose[/b]
This is an OK game that fills correctly its purpose (which is "killing time" I guess). It provides you with a 120 levels pathway with slightly increased complexity over time. The threadbare storyline says that you are a young Aztec warrior who, in order to be able to marry the chieftain's daughter, must find the ancestral treasure and bring it back.
[b]How it works[/b]
You have to match a minimum of three symbols to remove them (and some tiles underneath). It of course replenishes gradually, and your objective each time is either (a) to remove tiles and/or some some sorcerous heads that climb upward while to try to drag them downward in order to remove them, or (b) clear the board of its tiles in a limited time. In order to play, you get a limited number of moves or a limited amount of time. Some obstacles will also be put in your way, like stone heads that create gradually obstacles in cleared space, or spheres that chain and freeze the symbols you are trying to match in order to progress. You accumulate gold pieces along the way that may serve to buy bonuses whenever you feel the need to, some can be bought in-game, others must be bought before starting a level. You may accumulate up to three stars for each level, in relation with your accomplishments in the game. These stars do not bring any benefits though. The progression yields basically the following results:
Match 3 = remove 3 linear symbols
Match 4 = replace 4 matching symbols by one arrowed one
* Arrowed matched with 2 same symbols removes column / row
* Arrowed matched with Arrowed removes column + row + nearby symbols
Match 5 = replace 5 matching symbol with a bomb
* Bomb matched with 2 same symbols explodes the nearby area
* Bomb matched with another bomb = bigger boom
Match 6 = replace 6 matched symbols with a neutral coloured wheel
* Coloured wheel has various effects:
- wheel + symbol = removes every identical symbol from the board
- wheel + arrowed = transforms all same symbols into arrowed, then boom!
- wheel + bomb = transforms all same symbols into bombs, then megaboom!
- wheel + wheel = cleans the whole board
Note: the 6 symbols may be in a line, T shape or L shape

[b]Verdict[/b]
THE GOOD: (i) it does what it is supposed to do without a glitch, (ii) it has a storyline of sorts, (iii) progresses slowly and is easy to learn and easy to play, (iv) finally, it doesn't need much resources and almost no space compared to most games.
THE BAD: (a) video/graphics management appears to be suboptimal/bad, the game itself is not supposed to need resources, yet I detect spikes of graphics activity whenever I use this game for no apparent reason and the fan will kick in, (b) sound does not seem to work either, which may prove annoying to some people. The reason for these problems is probably because this is a port from another source, and it has been done with minimal resources... (c) Last but not least, this game is available elsewhere on other platforms and on the internet [b]for free[/b]...
[b]TLDR: Ok, but no great, and with issues that should not be there. If these do not bother you, buy the game at a heavy discount or as part of a (discounted) bundle. Otherwise not recommended, there are other better choices.[/b]

Yesterday I just wrote review on another match-3 game called Star Sweet. The game was lacking story, tutorials, hints, animations and many basic things. This one has it all, yet it is the opposite extreme. The animations are too much. The after-game animations take too long and I don't wanna watch them. The creator is robbing me of my precious time.
Also this game is made in a cliche style of mobile phone free games, I mean the basic map of the game consisting annoyingly once again of a road of tiles (levels) through which you move. The game is overly sweet, kitchy, too childish, with too many animations and short rather boring levels. It's so cliche that I feel like I will not want to play it for long because I feel I already played this game - it's so similar to many other free mobile phone games. Where is any originality whatsoever?? The music would be nice indigenous south america style but again there are some kitchy overly sweet melodies involved in part. It's very disappointing to find out the game has seemingly all it should have yet it is annoying and boring. The first levels are too easy, the tutorials are not possible to skip, it's repetitive and worn out style and mainly the animations are too much, too childish, too kitchy, too many and are taking extremely long. I am afraid all I will remember about this game will be that it was the game who had the longest annoying animations, especially the after game bonus explosions, but overally everywhere.
Dear creators: You are likely not aware, but match-3 gem games made their popularity thanks to adult audience, not thanks to children. Look at classics like Bejewled or Montezuma! Take example from them! Add some serious style, some magic, try to be original and unique, try to invent something new and get rid of the overly sweet style and at least let the users switch off the animations if nothing else! There should be checking button in settings that would let us turn off all the animations. Thanks for listening!
Again, it is too hard to decide whether to recommend the game. This time I will put a thumb up, but I personally am annoyed for playing a repetition of many other old games, it's just clone of theirs. With too long animations!!
Oh and DO NOT BUY FOR FULL PRICE! I am pretty sure you will find the same or practically same game for free on your mobile phone! I thankfully bought for just 0,49 eur - it is to much still.
2023 update and message the developers:
I would even start to like the music but why does it need to restart all the time! It's super annoying. Just as the animations that can't be skipped. There was great idea in the design that the special gems will be in style of puzzle and mechanic locking-unlocking but then instead of doing that they explode like simple bombs which they are not and they explode so heavily it's unbearable for brain to watch! The end animations, after-win explosings being too long. There are missing any settings options!: to turn off music, to change music, to let it play continuously instead of restarting with every level, to skip the after game explosion animations, to set the animations lower etc. Game without settings is just annoying crap that will meet only percentage of players' needs and will annoy most players too soon. Also the levels are too easy at the beginning and then there are too few levels given that - difficulty settings missing as well. ... I'm quite sure you think people would not really pay for this kind of game and the way you are executing it is only proving yourself right but you are very wrong - if you programmed the settings and cared generally bit more, people would seriously pay for sequels.
Update after finishing the game: so in the end I quite liked it but I have to warn everyone - the developers didn't design the levels so they work in natural way. Instead of calculating how it will work out they left all the hard job on the player. What do I mean by that? Naturally you'd expect solving the levels would be the desired outcome. It is not. If you solve the level too quickly, if you play the level too well, with grace, you will be punished. You will not get the necessary stars. If you think creating as many explosions as possible will do it, you're wrong as well. Again, that can lead to quick end without the desired stars. And if you expect you will get the heck of it and find the perfect gameplay style, you will be disappointed as well. Every level is different. The developers simply didn't design the levels so they work smooth, naturally, as expected if you are used to games like Montezuma or other classics. Here you have to find out with each level what works and pray for the best. Creating lot of excessive explosions is desirable, but those can quickly complete the level which is something you do NOT want if you didn't reach the three stars yet. Most of times you will try hard to do big explosions, but as a pyrotechnist, trying very anxiously not to blow up too much, trying to do the explosions in some isolated part of the screen - except, there is no such thing, luck and accident can always trigger everything. Not easy. And every level is different. I thankfully made the farsighted decision to play each level to three stars since start and not move to another level before I master the present one to three stars. It turned out wise decision because you do need the three stars at most levels so that you are allowed further. And yes, the 120 levels is very little. The beginning levels are too easy and the last level is almost impossible to accomplish with three stars - you will likely have to use snake boosts like me, at clever moment.

❌ Некоторые уровни не пройти без покупки бонусов, т.к. именно механика уровня предусматривает это.
❌При запущенной игре появляется какая-то интересная нагрузка на конфиг. Игра уровня мобилок кушает около 30-40% от гтх 1050 4гб и 15% от intel i7-7700. Браузер с 25+ вкладок берёт на себя меньше, это так, для сравнения.
❌То же самое, что и в мобильных помойках: "затягивает" и "подкупает" своей простой и примитивом на первых 10-20 уровнях, дальше ты либо деньги плати, либо корячься с одним уровнем несколько десятков раз минимум, только в стиме правила иные и донат, а так же встроенную рекламу, разработчикам любезно пришлось вырезать из своего творения.
❌ Каких-то новых механик в этой игре нет. Те же самые бонусы, что и ВЕЗДЕ, те же самые уровни на время и уровни с ограниченным количеством ходов (всеми любимое). Цели и задачи уровней тоже новизной не блещут: увести вниз за игровое поле какую-то ерунду, сломать алмазы около камней несколько раз, чтобы те разрушились и прочее-прочее-прочее..
Единственный плюс игры - карточки, которые можно продать.

关卡里面还有很多好玩的设定,

定时上链条的方块,
会把走位方块变成冰块的方块
如果一定时间不解决掉,会随机给对应颜色的方块加链条的方块!

Дженерик три-в-ряд, к тому же перенявший неприятные особенности мобильного гейминга.
Похвалить игру я могу за интересную механику, что можно объединять два соседних бонуса, чтобы скомбинировать их способности.
Сами кристаллики выглядят приятно. Довольно забавная фоновая музыка, жаль, что довольно короткая.
Поругать же хочется за скучные уровни и сломанный баланс.
За 60 уровней я встретил только несколько механик: цепи, камни (с вариациями), опускание тотемов и заморозка. Из-за этого уровни очень похожи друг на друга. Каждый уровень ограничен количеством ходов; есть уровни на время, но почему-то я встретил только два таких.
Часть уровней специально спроектирована так, чтобы их было не пройти без бонусов (или пройти только благодаря случайности): то камень в углу надо разрушить кристалликом определённого цвета, то несколько клеток специально вынесены в отдельную часть поля, чтобы их разрушить можно было только бонусами.
Сами же бонусы разрушают кучу клеток и используют местную валюту — f2p рудимент. Её сыплют достаточно, так что даже сложные уровни решаются парой бонусов.
Баланс оставляет желать лучшего. В половине уровней у меня оставалось по 20 ходов. В игре есть «гениальное» решение, что в конце уровня за каждый непотраченный ход на поле появляется бомба, а потом они по очереди взрываются. И ты по полминуты ждёшь, пока игра соизволит это всё просчитать.
Скучно. Существует много подобных игр, которые предлагают более динамичный геймплей и широкое разнообразие механик.

After you finish, the game activates all the specials, but if there are any complete sets because of it, it's not counted. Not a big deal to me, but what if you want to have 3 stars each time, this is going to me nerve wrecking later on.
Over 300 maps!! And the little helpers, are expensive for what they can do. Like that crossbow, shoots random tiles away. Costs 50 coins. You need to do grinding to get more coins if you wanna reach over the 300 maps!
Nice casual game, it works, no bugs, no glitches, easy controls, low learning curve, repetitive musical score (but you can turn it off and listen to Happy Hardcore or something else)

Времяубивалка сойдет, по распродаже за 15р не жалко , выше я бы её не купил, т.к. таких игр ща в браузере бесплатно найти можно гору! ДА и в телефоне таких хватает аналогов просто тьма! Музыка у меня вообще нкакая не заработала, ни вунтриигровые звуки, ни сама музыка, поиграл 11 уровней с винампом. Добило это секундное ожидание. когда уровен заанчивается и от оставшихся ходов начинают взрываться бомбочки, выклчюил, наигрался, может быть запущу в теч года еще пару раз)
В целом, средняя игра, я бы не рекомендовал, т.к. много аналогов есть более качественных и даже бесплатных!

A thoroughly uninteresting and boring game. The prerequisite is that you already are familiar with tile-matching games because there is no explanation whatsoever for what are the rules for creating the different special "effects". Occasionally the game might test your grey cells when you have limited moves and you need to carefully decide on the sequence of event. But those are rare.
And then there is the inexplicable ending when you finish a level: I have no idea what happens but seemingly arbitrary actions happen - some of your specially created tiles may be triggered, for example. Then, an amount of special tiles corresponding to the number of your moves left are randomly placed on the board and another round of carnage happens. That you are not allowed to place these is unfortunate: indeed, the level-end mechanics discriminates against people who played well and have more moves left over (otherwise you could use those moves to score more points but instead you are now left at the mercy of a random number generator)
The level-end "fireworks" will probably give a bit to joy to a four-year old who I think is the audience for this game. But otherwise a pointless game.

Стандартное трёхзвёздочное триврядие. Таких с недавнего времени на gplay развелось много, особенно насилуются известные франчизы (к примеру, донатлофт пачками такие делает). К 30 уровню становится скучно, а их там более 100. Лучше купить Bejeveled, Mirror или Wishmaster.
