Seriously, I don't know much more to say about this. It's fanservice and tons of underwear, school uniforms and school swimsuits in a relatively simple railshooter.
You can upgrade stuff, the story girls are cute and friendly and just describing the general gameplay of it "you gotta shoot schoolgirls with your pheromone gun until they basically orgasm" is crazy enough that you can either brag or quickly push people away from you. 😁
The gameplay is simple, and played with a mouse the game is really easy, I assume it might've been balanced with gamepads in mind.
But if you're in it for what it obviously is: ecchi anime fanservice, then you'll get what you're looking for.
The costume DLCs are too expensive and too many by now, though, I'd stick to the main game.

Ok enough of me joking around, this game's story mode can literally be beaten within a day, I ♥♥♥♥ you not (unless if you want to dedicate yourself to the story mode), but nonetheless it's a jolly good fun rail shooter, I can definately see what audience this is towards, It's for the gooners who have some really "intresting" tastes (I'm unironically one of those people btw), the visual novel element is boring but at times it can be pretty funny, the voices are also great as well, they are on what they're are, a product of they're time
Hey at least it's not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ full on brothel simulator... because the Doki Doki mode can feel like that lol, but just pretend that you're giving the lady(s) a good ol' tickle, I was confused at first when the plant boss level started and at first the only way to defeat those monster plants was by shooting the green mucus things until I discovered you're supposed to zoom in and shoot at the uvula
Overall, it's a fun rail shooter... and it's kind of hard too 7/10

Так как в самой игре нельзя выставить формат больше FullHD. Как это сделать, написано в руководствах к игре. Я же накатил ещё «Ню» патч, и стало более интересно играть. Правда, до того момента, когда я понял, что это очень гриндовая и замороченная игра в плане статистики персонажа и открытия концовок. Поэтому, если вы не задротище, которому в кайф шпилить по 50 часов для открытия всего, или не японский овощ, который готов проходить одно и то же по многу раз, то взломай игру на характеристики персонажа, и будет тебе счастье, и не придется душится. I'm a little conflicted about this game. I wish Steam had a "Mixed" option for cases like this, but I'll try my best.
For full price, I'm going to say No. With a discount, I'd say Yes depending on the percentage.
One look at my library would tell any casual observer that I enjoy the... raunchier side of Steam's store. In spite of that, I'm not really sure how much I can say I like this game. This is my first Gal Gun experience and the only thing I can seriously say I enjoy about it is the perverted nature of the content, whether that be looking up the various students' skirts or using the zoom feature that conveniently comes with X-Ray vision... believe me, this type of game is built for people like me, which is also what makes this review slightly difficult to write.
I do actually appreciate that the characters have personalities beyond just giving the player something to look at. Every girl has a particular weakspot for both general gameplay and Doki Doki Mode, meaning there's an incentive to learn and adapt to each girl on the fly.
The graphics are... well, apparently this game is a port from the Xbox 360. It certainly looks like it, at least. The models of the various characters do look decent, especially when you buy the Angel Eye Drops... however, the game often moves and shifts perspective too quickly for you to be able to really enjoy what's on display. That makes it feel like wasted potential, at least to me.
The music is pretty much what you'd expect from any other anime game. Nothing special.
Mechanics are simple but I can tell there's a high level of skill expression that can be shown if you're into that sort of thing.
The main thing that kind of puts me off are the dialogue choices and endings. The game tasks you with keeping track of your character's stats, which seems to determine the choices that are available to you. The problem here is that the game in no way explains or even really hints at how this works. The most you get is some kind of sound effect when you choose something. Sometimes you don't get a sound effect at all, which I can only assume means "neutral". Without a guide, you'll just be guessing most of the time. Grinding your stats is also a chore. I'm not even really sure how you're meant to do it besides buying the relevant items in the shop. As far as I can tell, using Doki Doki mode on certain girls will boost some stats and lower others, but I can't tell if it's based on how you touch them or what type of girl(s) you end up using the mode on... I have no clue. For all I know, it's entirely random.
The actual endings themselves range from okay to mediocre, and since you can't really tell what's a good choice or not (you have up to 5 at any given interaction), this resulted in me getting crappy endings more often than not. If I want an actually satisfying ending, I'd have to read a guide for it because otherwise there's just such a lack of feedback on what's a good choice or not. And if you screw up a route, chances are you'll have to play the entire route from scratch. Not really a fan of that. For reference, I currently have 3 endings unlocked (Maya, Aoi, and what I assume was the bad ending for the demon girl, but to be fair, I deliberately chose perverted dialogues with her just for comedic value).
I don't want this review to come off too negative, but honestly, there isn't a whole lot I can say is positive here. I mean, it's entertaining for a short while, and the characters have some charm to them, but at the end of the day, it's an overpriced game from a bygone era even when it came out on the 360, so... I'd give it a pass unless it's heavily discounted.
I don't believe the game is particularly bad per say, just... eh? I'll chip away at the endings as, if nothing else, the game makes for a decent break from my long sessions on American Truck Simulator. Outside of that though, I don't see myself sticking with this title for very long.

The game is almost exclusively concieved to play with a controller.
The camera movements is often erratic and unpredictable, which screws up your shots quite regularly while on the move. while idling, there's no issue.
There are a few "mini-games" who has extremely precise movements the game isn't telling you how to do it properly and only give you 15 seconds to do the impossible as you improvise (I'm looking at you circular holds, yes, you specifically with your almost non-functioning mini-game). To get the perfect achievements, you need to get 8 points on all 3 parts of the mini-games, but these broken tasks ruin the achievement hunting. I've been stuck on the same one for 6 resets (have to do the whole level before because you can't save in between). You're gonna read this and go, well it's just 6 resets, skill issue... First, it's a broken mini-game, look it up, second, 6 levels is basically half the game's lenght, repeating the exact same one. it's infuriating.
The game barely has any graphic controls, they're almost all in the game's files (you can check a guide to find certain options like resolution over 1080p, anti-aliasing, etc.)
I sincerely hope the other ones from the trillogy has better gameplay and mini-games. It's not really fun but it feels quite nice. I really hate the erratic movements and quick time events in these games. It's not satisfying to miss shots because of the game, although I rarely get less than 5 star accuracy.

First Gal Gun I've played. As a big fan of the House of the Dead games, I was shocked to know a game like this exist. Instead of shooting zombies or terrorists, you shoot school girls that are madly in love with you, what could be weirder than that? Gameplay is excellent, the music is also excellent. Multiple endings and collectibles increase replay value. Highly recommended for arcade shooter fans (or should I say boys?)

To be honest: I've watched some anime and I got to say, a lot of them have the same issue: Big reviews + below average show = really bad experience.
Like you got dudes making hour long videos about Frieren; one of the most nothing shows I've seen. All the deep messaging sounds interesting because they only explain it on paper, not how it's communicated.
Gal*gun is like Banjo Kazooie. Where it's not trying to be art, it's a game with somewhat campy and charming characters, and good gameplay (not the sex thing). This reminds me of when anime was just for kids, and it still is; it's not the blood and swearing, it's how simple they are that's the issue.
It doesn't promise that's it deep, or interesting, so despite my need to judge character writing, I was able to experience it how I wanted to, and especially because the dialogue doesn't go on forever! So much, stories over-value themselves and exposition dump or feelings dump, and they end up impossible to replay.
My favourite part has to be the feeling. Nobody in the game is taking this seriously, it really feels like a school play where there's this dragon but it's just a handicapped kid in a red blanket.
It all has that anime charm which has been lost to time, now anime has to be gritty, "realistic," and boring. Back in a time when we thought seeing a girl half naked was taboo, it's a Christ-like innocence that got over saturated, and this isn't even that inappropriate anymore.
I like the colours, the aesthetic, and some of the character design.
But if someone presented this has a "deep and profound," I'd probably hate this game.
I should mention some negatives. It's impossible to tell what the right option, the gameplay gets old, it's a bit formulaic, the DLC's pricing is insane, and there's this one part where you have to help Maya after falling; you have to move your joystick around and there's no visual information that you're suppose to do it in rhythm with the hand; I just did it as fast as possible but it took me like 6 months to figure that out.
I found it entertaining; not great by a mile. I'm impressed an anime game doesn't do the
storytelling equivalent of backseat gaming, where you just told how to feel about the story or themes. if you like baby games or brainless goyslop stories, you might like this.

攻略キャラのシナリオルート分岐あり、実質メインヒロイン以外のモブ生徒・先生もエンディングあり。隠しキャラあり。
ステージによってモブ生徒の服装(制服・体操服・水着)が変わり、撃破でそれぞれ図鑑登録。また生徒手帳を拾うことで生徒のプロフィールが図鑑登録されたりと収集要素も満載。攻略済みのキャラは図鑑モードでムフフフ
攻略ステージも「開かずの教室に行きたいけど外からじゃ入れない…せや！女子更衣室から通風孔伝っていこう！」「謎の洞窟を抜けたらスカートで仁王立ちしてる子の真下に出た」などといちいち楽しい。

硬啃生肉啃下来了，语言问题是个硬伤，steam版没有繁体中文，日文也乱码，只能硬啃英文。这个天使与恶魔路线我是真喜欢啊，饥渴（艾可）萝在这一代更受欢迎了，一想到一代把饥渴萝（极不情愿的）连带着帕塔可一起目击XD。把1.4m的库萝娜抱起来心都要化了（真的不是萝莉控www）darling~。vv给人一种很强的沉浸感，特别是夕阳下最后奔跑追逐，这是2代没有的感觉，也许有渲染器的因素啦。这一代评分也更加严苛，要综合考虑时间，精准度，受伤程度来评价，对手柄不友好（鼠标玩起来很爽很顺畅，很容易达到神评价）整个galgun系列爱玩的人会很喜欢玩，也期待有木有三代。下列是最喜欢的库萝娜线结局曲Swirling Confusion（附翻译）

Only 2 routes were entertaining, rest of game has been a drag. Unfunny game, using a controller is unplayable (use kb/mouse, way easier), achievements are unreasonably grindy as hell for the actual amount of content.
Wouldn't recommend, even for $1, there are better games in that price range.
Um jogo ótimo com bons gráficos, ótima narrativa, mesmo sendo um pouco constrangedora as vezes, tem diversas rotas possíveis e cada uma com seus finais definitivos. No total tem 8 finais e entre eles dois finais secretos. Esses finais ajudam no fator replay do jogo que em diversas fases tem caminhos como direita ou esquerda, baixo ou cima que você pode seguir para conseguir bônus, coletáveis e completar as missões das garotas pela fase enquanto dispara seus feromônios carregados em outras garotas vestidas de colegial japonesa, vestidas com burama e roupas de banho que a proposito você pode trocar por outras skins especiais e skins de DLC. No tocante a gameplay, ela é básica de jogos de tiro em trilho, você avança e conforme as meninas que querem lhe ter/tomar/bater/beijar/tocar, você tem que disparar em uma das partes do corpo dela em que ela entra em euforia com mais facilidade, como por exemplo, a cabeça, o busto ou as pernas. O interessante é que cada garota tem seu ponto de euforia em uma parte diferente do corpo, podendo ser em um ponto especifico como a orelha direita.
Conclusão: Jogo incrivel e a presidente do conselho estudantil tem muito resPEITO! E meu final favorito é o da Maya porém admito que o final da Shinobu talvez seja o final canônico. O final que vc fica com as duas não é muito legal.... OwO
Surprisingly addicting game. Also a very light gun game [even on Expert mode, the game was hard to fail as long as you're paying attention, which was understandable as this was played with a controller before, and mouse is easier to aim].
The only annoying thing here is if you're a completionist and you're getting all the girls' data, as each run resets your "data" on the girls so you need to remember which girl's data you're trying to (3S).
An entertaining game overall. Get it on sale.
For being one of my first rail shooters, this was surprisingly good. Would not have expected to like this game that much. Also didn't expect to 100% it, but here we are.

One of the greatest games of the 2010s. The story of each route is so ludicrous that I have to give this game a 10/10 for the amount of unexpected laughs that I got from consuming such mediocre product. It's also very funny to play after having an edible. Overall a great thing to play after finishing my 13th rewatch of death note.
Superb game where all the girls love me for who I am.

GalGun: Double Peace* is a solid rail shooter that brings back nostalgic memories of classic arcade games. The story isn’t meant to be taken seriously—it’s over-the-top and goofy in a fun way. The characters are charming and likeable, and I found myself enjoying their personalities throughout the game. The soundtrack is decent, though nothing particularly stands out.
As for gameplay, it follows the standard rail shooter formula but adds a twist with decision-making elements. Throughout the game, your choices determine which routes you’ll take, each tied to one or more female characters you can potentially end up with by the end. If you're a fan of rail shooters and don’t mind a bit of lewd humor and fan service, GalGun: Double Peace* is worth checking out.
