Hands down. The best wrestling game. No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000 IMO follow.
Imagine your dream roster. you can download each wrestler in secs. accurate looks and moves.
If you're like me and enjoy just watching matches, the AI or logic in this game is 2nd to none.
i have seen moves and sequences that you will not see in another wrestling game franchise.
do not let the graphics or look of the game deceive you. Ut actually adds to the beauty of the game.
This is all gas, no fluff, full of fun action.
HIGHLY recommend it to any wrestling fan, especially on sale. I double dipped by getting it on PC (Had it for PS4 for years)
PC is IMO the better of the 2 as downloading all parts is easier.
Hope to see a sequel.

I'm not the biggest Fire Pro Wrestling fan of all time, But I own Fire Pro Wrestling Returns on PS3. I own Fire Pro Wrestling World on PS4 and PC, if anything I think it shows enough that I'm willing to buy it more than some others.
Since I come from the the Smackdown/SVR Games, I like to play matches but, The AI do it so well that Its really hard to go against the grain fighting them, but will almost always have better matches just watching your favorites just go at it.

THE FIRE PROS Are...
-The modding is something else with this series, I enjoy the simple Camera angle mod, and haven't looked past that since I installed it, and I'm sure now the modding scene is night and day.
-Move Craft (Create an animation) alongside modding has made for some of the most wild animations I've seen in a wrestling game... and Wrestling Empire Exist lol.
-The Matches! The Bread and Butter! In general the matches are something to sink you're teeth and time into.
-Importing Logos is pretty easy to do and the community Creations I believe are Crossplay With PS and PC.
-Hell you can even Rename Moves if you really want to, to Find them Easier.

My CONS with this game are...
-Pricey DLC when not on sale
-Mission mode is Slow with no option to speed up the matches(Maybe a mod for that now)
-Clunky UI
-Fire Promoter having untranslated text (mods might have this fixed)
-Downloading Custom Parts for Wrestlers has to be done 1 by 1 (I HOPE THERE IS A MOD TO BULK DOWNLOAD THEM)

I cant think of a wrestler that isn't on their by now or will show up if you request from the right people. That The Positives HEAVILY outweigh the Negatives.

The New Japan and Stardom Wrestling DLCs are what the Kids Say "Bussin"!
Wrestlers when crafted right and not downloaded from dummies feel some real to their real life counterparts in the ring. Goldberg is always an example I use. He hits like a Truck and that Spear will destroy whoever he's up against, but the long matches he gets gassed out fast. This game is Legit-ness!

I'd say if your on the fence PLEASE get it on sale, Spike Chunsoft has their games on sale what feels like monthly. 19 Bucks For Base Game and DLC, that's always there, never have to worry about, servers being shut down or having to get Fire Pro Wrestling'25, '26, '27. Its just there when you want to play/watch anyone go against anyone.

This series had such a influence on me and how I conduct my matches on my older WWE 2K series matches to even now how I play them for Youtube. Graphics aren't everything, let the gameplay show you why!

THE wrestling game if you are a fan of the matches in wrestling, can either Work matches out including being able to intentionally sell for longer so the opponent can do moves or simulate matches with fine tuning the CPU into how you prefer it to play out the matches. one big downside is all the DLC is a muct if you want to take advantage of the communities creations, but its on sale a LOT and very worth it.

Hay como dos vertientes en el wrestling, tanto real como ficticio: una es utilizar gimmicks de personajes de ficción, hacer comedia, quitarle la seriedad al asunto, y la otra es utilizar a los mejores talentos existentes sobre la faz de la tierra para hacer una lucha que quede para la posteridad y que haga llorar al presidente Tanahashi. Este juego te deja hacer las dos, lo amo por eso.

Aunque eso sí, loco, hagan más edits de Stardom, si yo supiera los haría pero evidentemente no sé.

Anyway, la personalización es increíble y hasta me llevó a diseñar mis propios luchadores y escenarios, esto no me ocurría desde que jugué al No Mercy de N64. Uno de los mejores juegos de wrestling jamás hechos, AUNQUE, le vendría de perlas una actualización para los DLCs con rosters actualizados de Stardom y NJPW, incluso de AEW y el CMLL por la colaboración. Te quiero mucho Fire Pro Wrestling World.

A great game with many flaws.

The most positive and important thing is that Fire Pro captures the feeling of watching a great wrestling match, near falls, rope breaks, and botches included. After 250 hours, I still have a lot of fun trying to push a match to its absolute limit.

With Steam Workshop integration, the roster is unbeatable. The community has meticulously recreated thousands of wrestlers and referees. The Move Craft DLC makes FPWW, without a doubt, the most detailed wrestling game of all time.

Unfortunately, there are numerous flaws beneath the surface that prevent this from being a perfect game.

[*]The community content has no room to flourish. There is no dynamic campaign mode in the style of WWE Raw 2, or a 2K style Universe mode. Your creations are limited to exhibition matches, tournaments, and leagues. The addition of a Story Craft DLC would make FPWW the best wrestling game ever made.
[*]Settings cannot be changed during an existing league.
[*]You cannot bulk-delete unsubscribed Workshop content.
[*]The mission mode sucks. 50 matches in the same stadium with the same ref, with the same generic fictional wrestlers.

In the ring, there are issues as well.

[*]Submission moves are poorly implemented. A rest hold will ruin your 20-minute classic very quickly.
[*]There is a lack of natural movement during the match. In a real wrestling match, wrestlers will sell themselves around the ring, against the ropes, to the apron, to the outside. In Fire Pro, it is almost never this dynamic.
[*]The AI in cage matches is completely broken. As soon as they touch the apron, they will not stop attempting to climb out.

Overall, I recommend this to fans of wrestling.

it's much better if you get the NJPW dlc so you can play as members of CHAOS, L.I.J., Suzuki-Gun, and the powerful Bullet Club.

the character creation is confusing to new players, but when you tinker a bit, you'll get used to it.
you can even make legends like Rey Mysterio, Vader, and Hayabusa.

however....

gameplay wise, it takes a good bit of trial and error to get used to. but do not give up if you feel discouraged. you can do it.

also love the ring creations on how you can save photos from the internet and use them.

just wish there was a way to erase workshop characters without needing to do a complete data wipe

子どもの時に遊んでいたファイプロが今でも遊べることに感動。
友人と、とんでもレスラーでバトロワしたり、妄想リーグを開催して弱いレスラーを操作して成り上がったりすると楽しい。
特殊パーツが含まれるDLCを全て購入しておくと、ワークショップから他人の作った全てのレスラーをダウンロードできるようになりますのでオススメ。
プロレスはゲームの世界しか知りませんでしたが、ファイプロワールドをきっかけにリアルプロレス観戦もするようになりました。

良くも悪くも旧態依然としたファイプロのまま。エディット機能の自由度は良い。
ゲーム性は本当にただのファイプロ、特に不満もないが今更評価にも値しない。

しかし、バグというか動作停止しまくりでまともにプレイできない。
原因はおそらくエディットレスラーのデータと思われる。
深刻な問題点があると感じるので早急に対応して欲しいです。
・基本レスラーが全然入っていない。これまでのファイプロのように架空レスラーすら入っていない。
・上記のため選手データやストーリーモードが入ったDLC込みで買わないと遊べたものでは無い。
・エディットレスラーをネット経由でDLできるのが売りだが、レスラーのデータを完成させるのに必要なDLCや多数のエディットデータも同時に所有していないとレスラーが使えない。
・毎回起動時にローカル所有データとサブスクしたデータの整合性のためかダウンロード時間が発生する。
・所有レスラーのデータ量が増えると上記の時間がどんどん長くなる。
・ゲーム自体の動作もどんどん不安定になる。デモプレイで使用できないレスラーのデータを読み込むとバグって止まる。
・購入したDLCファイヤープロモーターも起動しようとすると止まる。

レスラーのデータを一括して扱う、データを統合して軽くするなど、安定動作のためにできる事はあるはずなのに、放置してユーザーの自己責任や自己解決に委ねているのは度し難い。

Wanted to post a review as someone who's a newbie to Fire Pro. Fire Pro is the ultimate wrestling experience for any fan of the sport or even anime's of the like. While its visual style may be on the simpler side it is aged well and lends itself beautifully to the core of the game.

Fire Pro features a vast in depth creation system to just about every component of the game. You want Undetaker? Hit the shop. Want to wrestle on top of an Gamecube? Hit the shop! Want to hit a Kinniku Buster? you know what to do. You can honestly spend so much time customizing and creating more than or just as much as playing. If you download mods it will enable you to create copies or edit your downloaded wrestlers.

This is like when Remy in Rattatoulie discovers mixing flavors for the first time. It's heaven. This is where the most fun in the game lies. I set up and customized Kinnikuman characters to have their signatures moves from the shop. I set AI to max and smiled as I was muscle revenger'd to death as Goku and Super Phoenix stomped over my body in a battle royale. Game rocks.

Has a lot of content though that's needed so get it on sale. I'll admit things take some setting up to get used to but if you hit the discord you can somewhat get helped. It's still a bit DIY but anything modded/creation game wise usually is

The database integration with Steam has become a real headache—constantly scanning users' hard drives to sync with Steam's cloud is forcing file deletions and breaking compatibility with older custom parts, moves, and creations. Back when this game launched, it was unparalleled for letting players build virtually anything, but years of unmaintained patches have tied it so tightly to Steam that preserving legacy files now requires manually rewriting thousands of them just to load. Some updates have even slowed the database down further.

It's the only wrestling game that truly captures that creative freedom, which is why it's a shame to see it in this state. I get it if development is done and you're moving on to better projects—that's fine. But please, just one final pass to decouple it from Steam's aggressive file management would make all the difference, letting it run smoothly off local user folders.

As it stands now, you're basically robbing anyone picking up this game today, since the core experience they paid for is crippled out of the box. I'd happily contribute to fund that fix.

Learning curve, clunky UI, and greedy DLC practices persist, yet this remains a top 5 graps game, ever. The community has so, so much in the way of customization on offer. You can transform this thing into your most well-rounded wrestling game you'd ever need. I have the rosters of WWE past and present, ECW, WCW, RoH, CMLL, so on and so on and so forth. It's systems in terms of gameplay do not fail to impress either, the wide variety of moves even in the base game is more than admirable. It is clunky and uneven, but when it works, it remains the best wrestling game on this platform.

Once you get past the classic art style, you will see what a gem FPWW really is. The matches feel dramatic, the movesets can be quite deep, and the Workshop content is vast. I bought every DLC for this because I liked the gameplay so much. I’m very familiar with this era of NJPW, and although I have no familiarity with Stardom, the variety those characters brought to the game is fantastic.

I highly recommend Fire Pro Wrestling World. It’s the best wrestling game available today.

Pretty good wrestling game that has great match pacing and a decent amount of creative freedom, even more if you use off site mods.

This game is based on Japanese wrestling so the wrestling style might be a little different than you're used to if you're from the US, it's hard to explain really. One thing that is different for instance is count outs are to a count of 20 instead of 10.

Pretty good game if you wanna do some fantasy booking.

This is by far the closest to the most perfect wrestling game I have ever played. I've loved this game since Fire Pro G on PS1. My friends and I played every console version created after that one. This game could live forever. I wish they still supported it as there are small bugs that come up but a huge thanks to large online community that is always very helpful when you need assistance. I hope to see a new one in a few years because it has a massive community of followers who feel as I do. Until then, I'll happily keep playing FPWW.

El hecho de que este juego esté desarrollado por una empresa japonesa hace que sea un auténtico desconocido en Europa, y sólo tras el cambio de "Human Entertainment" a "Spike"/ "Spike Chunsoft" en 2001 por fin se pudo dar a conocer en Europa y América a través de las consolas Game Boy Advance y PlayStation 2.
"Fire Pro Wrestling World" ha sido el salto de la franquicia a los PCs a través de Steam y ahí decidi darle una oportunidad.
A pesar de que hacerse con los controles es un poquito complicado sobre todo si estás acostumbrado a los machaca botones de los viejos arcades como "WWF Superstars" y "WWF Wrestlefest", "Fire Pro Wrestling World" se basa más en elegir un movimiento con la dirección y uno de los botones de acción en el preciso momento del agarre, lo que alargará la vida de tus mandos y también permite una jugabilidad mayor y una mayor variedad de movimientos.
Otro puntazo positivo del juego en Steam es la posibilidad de poder personalizar todo creando tus promociones divididos en equipos para poner tus tag teams (parejas, tríos o cuartetos) y stables (facciones con un buen número de luchadores), con sus luchadores con una amplia variedad de atuendos y de movimientos con la posibilidad de crearlos tú mismo al igual que los rings con los decorados de lona, faldones, esquinas, postes y color de las cuerdas.
También hay una gran comunidad de modders que han creado todo tipo de material (luchadores, movimientos, texturas de aspecto de luchadores, texturas para los rings) para que puedas jugar en "Fire Pro Wrestling World" con tus promociones favoritas como las actuales WWE, AEW y TNA de Estados Unidos o las mexicanas AAA y CMLL o las japonesas New Japan Pro Wrestling (hay un DLC de esta promoción para este juego), All Japan Pro Wrestling y Big Japan Pro Wrestling o recordar clásicos como WCW, ECW, NWA o AWA e incluso promociones independientes como las americanas Ring of Honor, Lucha Underground, Chikara, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla y MLW; las japonesas Pro Wrestling NOAH, DDT y Dragon Gate o las europeas Progress, ICW y WXW.
Se me pasó mencionar que hay una carpeta en el juego donde poniendo el nombre que te indique el autor de un luchador que incluyas en el juego desde el workshop del juego puedes también personalizar la sintonía de entrada al ring (¿A que molaría ver a Hulk Hogan entrando con su clásico "Real American"?)

En definitiva, aunque no tenga el realismo gráfico de los WWE 2K, las posibilidades de poner el juego a tu gusto son infinitas y por eso lo recomiendo junto con los DLCs cuando estén rebajados.

I spent 1,100 hours creating some moves in Move Craft, making my own custom wrestlers, subscribing to lots of Steam workshops, and even watching CPU vs CPU matches. But all of that never disappointed me. Even now, I still play this game — it's an awesome wrestling game.

I mean, the reputation of this franchise speaks for itself. Rarely does a game exist that encourages just OBSERVING the art of not just professional wrestling, but video game professional wrestling. I don't know anything about actually playing this game other than setting up a dream world in my head and then seeing it exist and play out before my eyes, and somehow.....Fire Pro has figured out that equation and how to make not just entertaining, but completely addictive. I also be remiss if I didn't mention just how mod friendly this game is, and how talented it's users are. Accurate and custom music for every wrestler? You got it. Complete customization of outfits and entrance attires? You bet.

WWE wishes it could put out a game this good.

Please let these developers do something with the NFL or NBA license. There is so much money being left on the table with that.

fun wrestling game, albeit too easy. exhibition matches can be hard in high difficulties, but the story mode, even in hard difficulty, is a joke. with that said, i had lots of fun creating wrestlers and letting the cpu fight (seems a lot of players enjoy doing this) since the cpu logic is above avegare.
i recommend this to any wreslting fan!

うっわ、ダメだこりゃつまんね。初代は友達とやりまくったので、その時の思い出があるからいつか買おうと思ってたので、セールだったので購入した。なにがつまんないかというと、初代は組んだら一呼吸おいて両者のヒザが沈み込んで技を掛け合うタイミングがあったじゃん。けどこれにはそれがない。わけのわからんタイミングで技の掛け合いが始まった。レスラーをエディットして、試合開始から1分でぶん投げ。

初代そのまんま引き継いでほしかったなぁ。なんだこれ。
