It's not a hardcore simulation by any stretch; weather doesn't affect your yield, there are no seasons, and the physics are a bit cursed, but once you get into the rhythm of plowing, sowing, and harvesting, it becomes a genuinely relaxing experience. The modding community is the real backbone of this game — if you can imagine it, someone's probably built it, which keeps things fresh long after the vanilla content wears thin. That said, if you're looking for depth or challenge, you'll want to look elsewhere, and honestly you'd be better served by a newer entry in the series at this point. Pick it up on sale for the nostalgia or the chill vibes, but don't expect a true farming simulation.

I think part of my review is because of nostalgia, which is known to give the illusion of quality where there otherwise might not be that much.
But boy is this fun to play. It's a trade-off you have to make. A lot of quality-of-life features from newer versions are missing. On the other hand, it's very easy to get in to. There is not as much to worry about as in newer versions. It's a simpler version, and I like that.

Отличная игра. это одна из частей где нету сверхграфики . но зато есть сао фермерство. да упрщенное , но в это играли. с чегото ктото начинает играть. и она по своему достояна внимания и чтоб в нее играть.

This is the farming sim that I grew up with. I originally played this game on the PlayStation3, but I've switched over to steam for easier access while on the go. This game may not get many updates anymore, but it will forever live in my heart as the game that raised me to where I am at now.

Эту игру мой дед привёз мне из рейса в Купянск в далёком 2013-14 годах. До сих пор где то валяется коробка от диска. До сих пор помню надписи на немецком ляндвиртщафт симулятор 2013 и тому подобное. где то до года 18го постоянно запускал этот диск пока за годы он не затёрся в нулину. просто подтёрлись выбоины на диске и он больше не читаем. поэтому в память о сим диске покупаю данный шедевр на свою стипуху. спасибо за детство легенда!

It is shocking how well this game still plays today. It is very stable and is a great opportunity to indulge in nostalgia as well as discover the early days of Giant's Farming Simulator series those who care about experiencing the historical trajectory of how the games improved over every new edition/iteration. Even the graphics still holds up. This game can also serve as a simpler stepping stone into the FS series for anybody who feels the latest tiles like FS 19, 22, or 25 a bit overwhelming with the features and realism they offer.

I bought it long ago but played it only in 2025. I know nothing about newer versions other than that there are a lot of them. I really liked this one. Maybe the graphics are a bit old, but who cares, I liked it nonetheless.

Moin, Landwirtschafts-Simulator 2013 hat mir damals mein Vater für meinen alten PC bestellt, der PC hatte noch Windows XP und Windows Vista, das war im Jahr 2013.
Ich habe als Kind viele Stunden im Spiel verbracht, war einfach toll seinen eigenen Hof aufzubauen.

Offline Mode evidently doesn't count playtime so multiply that by a hundred or so.
This is THE version of the game to get if you prefer smaller fields and machines as all of the games hereafter increasingly focus upon large scale farming, and 19 on wards branches into management, building, terrain manipulation etc.
My best description for this is Old Reliable.

Man… Farming Simulator 2013 wasn’t just a game — it was a whole era of my life.
Back in 2014, on my grandma’s old-ass laptop that sounded like a jet engine warming up, I’d boot this thing up and just lose hours planting wheat like my life depended on it.
Even when my grandpa walked by and asked “isso é jogo de verdade?” — yes, vô. É sim.
The graphics? Mid.
The physics? Kinda cursed.
The vibe? IMMACULATE.
No guns, no missions, no stress — just me, a slow-ass tractor, and a dream. I didn’t even know what half the equipment did, but I was vibing. Spent 20 minutes backing up a trailer, and it felt like an achievement. Hired a worker who immediately crashed into a tree? Classic FS13 moment.
And that background music? Bro, it was pure nostalgia fuel — like the soundtrack of a simpler time.
The best part? Mods.
I downloaded everything. Brazilian tractors, monster trucks, weird-ass maps where cows floated in the air. My grandma’s laptop was dying a slow death, but she held on like a champ. Respect. 🖥️💀
I swear I wasn’t even playing to “win” or “progress” — I was just existing on that farm. Sometimes I’d just drive around, staring at the sunset textures like they were real. Life was chill. I was happy. The world could be burning and I’d still be out there harvesting barley with a broken combine I got for free.
Final thoughts?
This game was my peace, my escape, my childhood comfort zone.
Laggy? Yup.
Outdated? For sure.
But to me? Perfect.
FS13 will always be the GOAT.
10/10. The most peaceful, nostalgic game I’ve ever lagged through.

Поиграл я в этот ваш фарминг симулятор... Короче теперь в моей комнате я выращиваю картофель и пшеницу, в то же время у меня уже есть целый автопарк игрушечных тракторов и целая коллекция полей в игре. Я когда устанавливал и не думал что она может меня так сильно затянуть. Правда разбирался в игре я наверное первые 20 часов... А всё потому что обучение здесь достаточно примитивное, а подсказки задают лишь больше вопросов. Но в целом мне всё понравилось!
