I LOVE NEW BLOOD. THIS LOOKS AND PLAYS GREAT.
Major negative flaw though;
-The AI and pathfinding are very very very rough. Forget about ghost runs or luring NPCs into corners so you can pick them off quietly. They get stuck in every little object that gets in their way, there's no leashing to keep goons from leaving the goon area (I start the game, 3 goons bust my door open and while I'm chopping them one by one, the remaining goon just leaves and goes to the room where the stealth kill mechanic is explained, but he patrols a one square foot corner and always has his eye on me)
Please delay any extras and fix these two things ASAP. It's honestly the single flaw this awesome game has!!

No wonder why it has so many positive reviews. I just went through the second chapter and its been an amazing experience.
- There are some things to polish.
- PERSONAL: Difficulty isn't that hard, you can manage to take out 20 persons if you want (even more easy if you have the tools to do it).
+ Great history telling as if it was a comic tale, while you are the main actor.
+ Playability is pretty simple but cool.
+ Some sort of combinations between 2d and 3d that feels pretty cool.
+ Not even 10$ for this game.
+ There are no goals, but you can play either as a "I'm gonna kill everyone on my way" or "I'll stay undercover and do everything without harming anyone".
This game captured my interest because it features 2D characters within a 3D environment, giving it a unique and visually interesting style. I would highly recommend it.
Very good game, graphics are cool and story was good even if it was short. Hope chapter 2 is as good.
A lot of people do not seem to realize that this game is still in early access. No it is not a finished game but you cannot discredit the amount of work already put into the game. It is certainly playable and I have not encountered any bugs.
I love the art style for this game! It does a good job of making it an immersive experience. The combat is super fun basically anything you can think of can become a weapon or you could just let your fists do the talking. You can play at your own pace. Whether that is focusing more on stealth or outright basing skulls. The voice acting is incredible with that nyc accent. the story is still developing so keep in mind that it is unfinished as of now.
I cannot wait for the next episodes to come out! I also read that they will have a level editor of some sort which will allow the players to add their own twists when playing

isnt actually steam deck compatible. the control pop ups all appear for keyboard. plus, it kinda feels ♥♥♥♥♥♥. enemies just bundle up like waddling cardboard penguins, and the melee feels clumsy. terribly unimpressed.

Game was recommended to me as "an amazing immersive sim!", even the 2nd most popular Steam Tag after "Early Access" is "Immersive Sim".
Problem is: its not an Immersive Sim at all. Its a boomer shooter with (optional) stealth elements. The latter of which is literally the only Im-sim element in this game.
In fact it misses pretty much all Im-Sim design points. Especially the first one: multiple ways of solving problems. There are multiple ways in this game, literally. As in multiple ways to enter or exit an area. But there are no problems. Even on the highest difficulty, enemies are so easy to deal with thanks to the boomer shooter movement and mechanics that taking your time for a different approach is just a "recreational effort", but not doing you any actual favors, avoiding an otherwise difficult combat. There's nothing else to "solve" either.
Buy and play this as a comic style boomer shooter with semi-open areas and you're good. Its fine in that regard. Not 96% fine, hell no(but that's New Blood and its fan-bonus for you...), but its fine enough. I'd still wait for the full release though as this is literally only 1/3rd done at this point.
На текущий момент, мне тяжело порекомендовать эту игру, но основной концепт и геймплейная база мне нравится. Понимаете, у этой игры существует небольшая проблема в виде отсутствия реальной сложности. Когда ты проходишь ее на последнем уровне "сложности" (масленного масла, да да, косноязычный ублюдок я), то у игры попросту нет реального челенджа который она могла бы тебе предложить. Я даже не понял с чем связано это определение "максимальной сложности", когда весь первый акт пролетается со свистом чуть меньше чем за два часа. Здесь нет сложной расстановки врагов, сложного патрулирования или в принципе "сложных врагов". По большому счету здесь есть лишь, условно, пять локаций с набором болванчиков и попыткой в эммерсивность с вариантами перемещения из пункта А в пункт Б с возможностью в паркур и покупкой оружия. Мне нравится идея того, что есть возможность не убивать врагов а оставить их в живых без сознания при стычках, но в данный момент это вообще ни на что не влияет. Типа, если враг лежит без сознания, то другой противник может его разбудить, а если ты его оглушишь и потом прикончишь такой проблемы нет. Игра не наказывает за убийства, ну... типа... никак. Я держу пари, что это в свое время повлияет на концовку или типа того, но сейчас это даже негативных трейтов или реакций персонажей не вызывает. Максимум это когда противник начинает в слух говорить "Ты убил его! Ты убил его!~". Хотя можно было бы добавить дополнительных реакций врагам, когда они могли бы пытаться сбежать когда увидят что дело дошло до прямого убийства. Не знаю, можно столько всего придумать, но ничего из этого в данный момент не реализовано. Это типичная игра это Нью Блад с коридором и противниками, который тебе надо пройти и не важно что коридор растянули до пространства небольшого района или ночного клуба, суть все равно остается той же.
Just started playing and it is so fun and funny at the same time. Beating up goons and using anything as weapons (including the dead? goons as throwables) is so much fun than I imagined it would be. Can't believe it's in early access (only one of the 3 listed episodes has been released) as the gameplay looks crisper than most AAA games at launch :D
Would recommend to get it at the price it's at, I got it at a 25 percent discount and I would not have minded paying full price just to support a developing team that has made such a good game.
Really fun game. The huge amount of secret spots and how the maps are designed reminds me of Outlaws (1997). Gotta always be looking all around to see how to get to different secret areas of the map. The noir music and overall atmosphere of the game is fun, too. Great voice acting, as well. Can't wait until the rest of the game is released! Great first chapter.

I played this game the day it came out and instantly fell in love with it the art and the many ways you can get through an area in a level and every time a replay a level I find something new (a secret, letter, ect) I cant wait for episode 2 one of my favorite indie games
my only thing is I feel there is no diffrence between killing and knocking out people and in house of cards nightwave just lectures you I know this is very nitpicky but its smth I noticed
if u like the genre of games that are fps games but not really like hltwo you will love this game but pls john new blood make the map functional

VERY fun immersive sim that is full of life and charcter, I encountered a few bugs and general unpolish, is early access so likey to be ironed out later on. Great game for sure, tons of secrets and different paths in each level, the styling is great, goons are funny to mess around with.
Has quickly become one of my favorite games I’ve played this year. I bought the game and finished the whole first chapter in one day, and I cannot wait to see what the devs have in store for it! I love the aesthetics and the combat feels extremely punchy and satisfying to the point the only time I ever did stealth was for the mansion level. It can feel pretty easy though, as until enemies with guns show up, you can beat most of the levels with just your fists, and falls into the same gripes I have with other immersive sims, namely the ability to hide yourself or a body from an enemy by going into a small pitch black corner even if the enemy is literally an inch away from your face. Overall though, excellent game and definitely worth the price!
Finished episode 1. Really like it. God thief style sandbox with a well executed premise and story. Hopefully the rest of the game develops this well.

If you haven’t played Fallen Aces yet, stop what you’re doing and go get it. This isn't just a game; it’s a genuine, masterpiece that feels like a love letter to the golden age of comics.
The Aesthetic: Batman/The Question
The style in this game is absolutely incredible. It reminds me so much of The Question that detective atmosphere is nailed perfectly. Every frame a hand-drawn panel, making it feel like you’re literally playing through a comic book.
Combat: Peak
The combat is fun asf, but the shield is the best weapon. Using it like Captain America, the mechanics feel rewarding, simple and effective.
The Atmosphere & Writing
I could listen to the goon dialogue all day. The voice acting and the writing are peak.
Final Verdict
New Blood genuinely makes the best games ever. Full glaze, Idc this is one of my favorite games of all time. It is a MUST PLAY.

Game is (obviously) unfinished, basic, very meh. The theme is awesome and I love what the dev was going for, but he didn't deliver with gameplay. Also, the game is unfinished in quite a literal way - you only get the first act, and at this point the planned release of act 2 has become a meme on the discussion board because we're never gonna actually GET the second act and the developer doesn't seem to care since they already cashed out on us idiots who purchased the early access version.
Steer clear until the game is finished. Maybe even then.

Fallen Aces is a very compelling story, with an especially attractive art style, and I have to say is a masterclass work. The gameplay and overall look of it is something that I personally love, as I've always found the "♥♥♥♥ Tracey" aspect of noir amazing. Not to mention, the story alone is astounding. I eagerly await for episodes 2 and 3

This game is really good, it's style is on point, it's got little things hidden in every level, the story is well written and in depth, and there's so much replayability it's crazy! If you like beat-em-ups this is a must grab, looking forward to episode two!
Another great game published by New-Blood, with episode 2 releasing sometime this year I think around now would be a great time to buy! Fallen Aces is a Stealth/Action Imsim (that being because it has both styles of gameplay) that showcases great gameplay, performance, and accurately portraying the artstyle it is using.
i love this game, even if its still getting worked on its allready my favorate game, i highly recomend it
