Горизонтальный скроллер, напоминающий игру NARC, что была на Денди/NES. Поэтому, если вы любитель пиксельной графики, и игр той эпохи, проходить мимо никак нельзя. Ураганные пострелушки под бодрый саундтрэк приятно скрасят вечер, за который можно пройти игрушку и выбить все ачивки.
Из минусов бы выделил не совсем удобную стрельбу на две кнопки (вправо и влево), и отсутствие коопа по сети (только за одним компом).
Игра сделана практически одним человеком, но сделана с душой! Пойду поем донатсов.

É um pouco confuso de acostumar, a gente tenta e tenta e leva xumbo e morre fácil atoa.
parecia um jogo casual, mas no final é mais frustrante que um dark Souls e blodborne da vida.
Recomendado para quem sabe onde ta se metendo, e olhe qe sempre que você vai jogar o jogo ainda te obriga a passar pelo tutorial, mas mesmo assim eu não consegui manter a vontade e nem paciência para joga-lo.
Há um bug muito estranho que se tiver controle conectado o jogo fica doidão e piscando tela.

- The controller is ALWAYS player 2, even when you play alone (super annoying)
- The keyboard controls are counter intuitive
- the enemies reach and speed are much higher than yours
- civilians make things messier - I don't like this mechanic
- the badge count will reset whenever you close the game.... which is annoying
Overall, quite simple and bad game loop - it is fine if you play for 10-15 minutes.
beat this game in two tries only taking about an hour to do. Even beat all the bosses. Stupidly easy game and very short for 5$. Worth maybe 1$ if you and a friend are bored and need to kill an hour. I would never play this game solo
Un pequeño juego de acción de ir hacia la derecha disparando (un poco como el arcade "Jail Break" de Konami) que da para 2-3 horas de entretenimiento. Es frustrante que le falta un hervorcillo para ser realmente divertido, pero al menos entretiene. Hay una pequeña variedad de fases (incluida una en coche) y de armamento, pero por desgracia las armas especiales sólo te duran unos segundos, demasiado poco tiempo. Esa es la sensación que da el juego, es "demasiado poco". En resumen, es un juego mediano al que podrías dedicarle un rato si lo compras barato, y te entretendrá, pero probablemente no lo recuerdes después.

Well, it's fun when you first play it, but once the unlocks start happening and random weapons get thrown into the mix; it sucks all fun out of it. The Subway level is awful, it's more narrow because of the random train and the onslaught of enemies gets boosted to the previous level that makes it a complete trial and error level.
As for gameplay, it's just a case of spamming bullets and dodging them back. No real challenge and if you're lucky with the spam, you get to the end and face the bosses. The bosses; their patterns are easy to figure out and are much easier to beat than the standard levels. Don't make sense to me.
I bought this on sale (thankfully) but I still think a little more effort could've went into it.

This is a great game to play with a friend. It's fun solo, but like most games it's better with friends.
Não recomendo. Mal o joguei e já percebi que não é para mim. O jogo é estilizado em um modo arcade, os botões para atirar são incomuns e na minha opinião, muito difíceis de se acostumar. A dificuldade embora estivesse no normal, você toma uns 5 tiros e já morre, a maioria te acertará no começo porque são milhares de npcs que aparecem com tiros rápidos e possivelmente aleatórios ( sem contar as desgraças dos "inocentes" que aparecem só para te atrapalhar). Os bandidos ou gangster simplesmente entram dentro de você quando não os mata, e as balas deles atravessam muito mais que sua tela, enquanto isso, a sua mal chega na metade. Talvez o jogo seja minimamente divertido se jogado com amigos ou coisa parecida, de resto, só o trailer é interessante. Para passar o tempo, prefira mil vezes um Dark souls do que isso, vai te dar um sistema mais justo e recompensador, acredite.

I hate the thing that you have to control the movement with the arrows and do the shooting and trowing with the left hand which is commonly used for the movement keys. AND YOU CANT CHANGE THE KEY CONTROLS!
If you get over this, the game is very cool.
Donuts'n'Justice is one of the first games I bought on Steam when I signed up months ago. I loved the 80's aesthetic and the old school shooter style. At first I was a little confused at how difficult the regular skill level was, and I stopped playing for a bit. Then I tried on the "Thumbsucker" level (haha) and it was more manageable. Just be warned that it can get insane no matter what, especially on Level 2 - Chinatown.
Overall, it's a fun game to play when you have a little bit of time to kill, and the unlockable hats are a fun reason to replay through the whole game with the added perks they give. I'm still in the process of unlocking more guns, and I've played for a total of over 3 hours! Grab some donuts, turn on the soundtrack to Miami Vice, and give this indie gem a try.

A pretty straight forward arcade style shooter with stylish pixel graphics and a cool soundtrack. You can shoot either left or right using separate buttons either on your keyboard or controller and you can move around. That's pretty much it and also you'll get to pick up power ups and unlock new weapons the more badges you collect in each run. The game is really challenging though and you'll be dying a lot even in the first level. Things get hectic really fast and it really challenges your reflexes.
One gripe I have is that the bullets are hard to see with all the stuff going on on screen and I tended to get hit without even seeing them coming.
All in all, pretty fun and challenging arcade style game with a cool retro look that is easy to learn and hard to master. Decent fun in short bursts.
Playing in Normal Difficulty Mode is a total mess. I managed to get at stage 4 in this modality, but i was already very frustrated, and i'll explain why:
1) Consumables drops randombly and NEVER the right one when you need it: you almost never get HP recovery when you have 1 heart left.
2) Enemies shoot more than you, a LOT more. And fast. Almost all the time you'll find yourself unable to dodge every bullet (yeah like if you are inside a bullet hell game).
3) Your weapong can JAM. Yes, you're reading well, you'll find yourself unable to shoot for a period like 4-5 seconds and this happens more than one time in the same level (i think randomly). Obviously in this range of time you'll be already surrounded and enjoying a GangBang from the enemies.
Then, following the game tips, you can switch difficulty to something like "crybaby" and the game gets playbale at least, but still unbalanced in some moments. BUT bosses become way too weak, there's no amusement in facing them. You should switch back to Normal Mode at every boss stage, but this is boring....
And the game is short. 4 levels only plus the final boss :(

Donats 'n' Justice i hikâye açısından değerlendirdiğimiz zaman oyunun bize çok da büyük bir hikâye sunmadığını söyleyebilirim. Açıkçası bunu bir eksi olarak görmüyorum ve görmememiz gerektiğini düşünüyorum çünkü oyunun zaten bize büyük ve izleyiciyi içerisine çekecek bir hikâye sunmak gibi bir derdi yok. Bu kısa ve basit hikâyeye sahip oyunun ele aldığı konu 1980’lerde geçiyor. Konuya kısaca değinmemiz gerekirse: Şehirlerini çetelere, şiddete ve yolsuzluğa karşı savunmak için göreve çıkmış olan iki süper polisin, şehirlerini kurtarmak adına kötücül güçlerle olan mücadelesi. Basit, etkili ve klişe bir hikâye.

Oyundaki karakterlere baktığımızda 16 bit bir oyunun sunabileceği basitlikte ele alındıklarını söyleyebilirim. Oyun boyunca kontrol ettiğimiz [b]''Mike Riggs''[/b] ve [b]''Nick Gordon''[/b] isimli ana karakterlerimizin 1980’lerin polisiye filmlerinden fırlamışcasına karşımıza çıktıklarını görüyoruz. Onun dışında bu iki ana karakterin karakteristik anlamda [b]‘’WTF!’’[/b] dışında çok da cümle kullanmadıklarını söyleyebilirim bununla birlikte oyunda ilerlediğimiz süre boyunca çete üyeleri, mafyalar, ninjalar ve hatta uzaylılar gibi birçok düşman tipi ile karşılaşıyoruz. Her bir düşman karakteri, ana karakterlerimiz gibi 1980’lerden fırlamış gibiler. Açıkçası bunu oldukça hoş buldum.

Gelelim böyle bir oyun için en önemli unsur olan oynanışa. Donats 'n' Justice’in oynanışını kesinlikle kötü bulmadım fakat [b]‘’şöyle olsa daha iyi olurmuş’’[/b] diyebileceğim şeyler var ne yazık ki. Diyeceklerime değinmeden önce oyunun temel oynanış mekaniklerini inceleyerek başlayalım. Donat’s n Justice hızlı tempolu bir [b]‘’2d shoot- ‘em- up’’[/b] oyunu olarak karşımıza çıkıyor. Oyunun bize sunduğu temel prensip: [b]‘’5 tane aksiyon dolu aşama’’[/b] boyunca, ekranımızın üst tarafında beliren bitiş çizgisine belirli bir tempo ile ulaşana kadar, önümüze gelen düşmanları öldürmek. Karakterlerimiz oyun boyunca sabit durmuyor oyunda devamlı bir ilerleme söz konusu aksi halde ölmeniz muhtemel çünkü düşmanlar tarafından mermi yağmuruna tutuluyorsunuz. [b]‘’Boss'ların’’[/b] saldırı modelini ezberlemek basit ve alt etmesi de haliyle basitleşiyor. Oyunun zorluğuna değinmem gerekirse kesinlikle çok kolay bir oyun değil. Beni yer yer zorladı bile diyebilirim. [b]‘’Boss savaşlarının’’[/b] dışında kalan aksiyon aşamaları kesinlikle bitirildiğinde daha tatmin edici bir etki yaratıyor. Açıkçası oyunu oynadığınız süre boyunca çokça öleceksiniz diyebiliriz. Şimdi oyun ile ilgili temel mekaniklere değindikten sonra oyunun beğenmediğim ve [b]''şöyle olsa daha iyi olurmuş''[/b] dediğim kısımlarına değinmek istiyorum. Öncelikle canımı en çok sıkan konu karakterimizin edindiği silahlar arasında geçiş yapamaması. Aslında bunu normal durumlarda sorun etmeyen biri olarak bu oyunda sorun ettim çünkü açılan bazı silahlar aşırı biçimde kullanışsız olabiliyor. Örnek olarak [b]‘’pistol’’[/b] ünüz elinizdeyken çok rahat geçebileceğiniz bir düşman dalgasını, aldığınız bir yükseltme sonucu elinize gelen [b]‘’dondurucu silah’’[/b] ile geçemeyebiliyorsunuz açıkçası bu durum tatlı bir gerilim yaratsa da, silahlar arasında, hiç değilse ana silahımız ve yanında edindiğimiz özel silah arasında geçiş yapabilmeyi açıkçası isterdim. Oyunumuz ayrıca [b]''co-op''[/b] bir oynanış ta sunuyor fakat keşke bu [b]''co-op''[/b] oynanış local de olduğu gibi online olarak ta mümkün olsaymış.
[h1]SANAT TASARIM VE MÜZİK:[/h1]
Donats ’n’ Justice’ın en çok beğendiğim yanının kesinlikle, retro 16 bit müziklerle süslenmiş piksel grafikleri [b]‘’1980 polisiye’’[/b] teması ile oldukça iyi ve eğlenceli bir biçimde ele alıp oyunculara yansıtmaları olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Oyun kesinlikle göze çok hoş geliyor ve piksel grafiklerin hakkını sonuna kadar veriyor. Her bir düşman öldürdüğünüzde sert bir ses ile gelen [b]‘’Combo!’’[/b]; [b]‘’Ultimate Combo’’[/b] gibi ses efektlerinin kullanılması düşmanları öldürmek konusunda oyuncuyu daha da teşvik ediyor. Diğer ses efektleri konusunda da yapımcı iyi bir iş başarmış diyebilirim. Oyunun her bir aşaması için ayrı ve kulağa hoş gelen müzikler kullanılmış vaziyette.

FobTi Interactive’in Donats’n’Justice oyunu ile iyi bir iş çıkardığını söyleyebilirim. Oynadığım süre boyunca bir retro ve piksel oyun sever olarak oyunun başında oldukça keyifli bir zaman geçirdim. Donats ’n’ Justice bize Oynanış süresi olarak [b]‘’bütün başarımları’’[/b] açıp oyunu [b]''her zorluk modun da''[/b] bitirdiğiniz zaman yaklaşık olarak 3 ile 4 saatlik bir oynanış sunuyor. İndirimde iken buna değecek bir fiyata sahip olsa da keşke biraz daha uzun olsaymış diyorum.

This game is kind of fun, but it is really easy to see that the developers just didn't want to put much effort in it.
The weapons that you unlock later in the game are actually worse than the initial weapon, so there's not really a point in them being there. The difficulty setting from easy to medium just goes from "I don't take a hit" to "No matter what I do, I'll always die", so it is not really balanced.
When you finish the game, there's no ending sequence. You kill the boss and then nothing more happens. Literally nothing more. You can keep the game open for hours and hours and you'll just be on the level, walking around and shooting nothing.
So it really seems that the developers really wanted to somehow release the game and forget it.

Ta weno el juego el estilo de los 90 o por ahi le da su toque
Si te gustan los juegos donde el mundo se mueve solo y solo debes apretar botones de disparo, esto te va a gustar. Es bastante complicado.
Decently entertaining little retro-inspired game, but don't expect too much.
Gameplay is clearly inspired by classical side-scrolling run-and-guns/beat-em-ups, and actually does a surprisingly decent job of replicating them, but doesn't add much to the formula. It's totally possible to complete everything in the game in, like, 3 hours, but the price reflects this.
All-in-all: an enjoyable little retro action romp if you have a spare hour or 3, and a couple bucks burning a hole in your pocket.

Donuts'n'Justice (D&J in short) is developed and published by FobTi interactive. The PC version was released on 23 Nov 2016. As of this writing, it doesn't have any feedbacks on Metacritic (https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/donutsnjustice).
If you're someone who is willing to try indie games or just looking out for really cheap/low budget games, there's a high chance that you've come across D&J on steam. The big question: Does it really provide "value" and "fun"? It's a mix in the bag and that clearly shows on the store page with only 87 very positive reviews since it's launch date: 23 Nov [u]2016[/u].
[h1]Story[/h1]
There's no story here. It just presents your character "with a license to shoot" and If i didn't read the product's store description, i wouldn't know i was a "super cop" set in the 1980's. D&J has 3 level of difficulty and it offers 5 maps for players to clear either by yourself or with another friend via local co-op/steam remote play. That's basically it.
[h1]Controls, Audio, Visuals[/h1]
Controls: WASD keyboard and it supports controller. Do note that keyboard key binding is non-existent.
Audio: Repetitive background music, weapon feedbacks, explosions, vehicles, enemies cries/screams. It's just okay.
Visuals: It's pixel but this has been done properly. Great emphasis has been put into the background scenes and great application of colors; making it very bright and colorful for a some-what violent 2D shooter game with blood splatters everywhere. +1 to the dev

3 things stand out in D&J:

[*]Civilian killing - Games that are on [i]normal[/i] and [i]nuck norris[/i] difficulty punishes player for civilian killing; making your weapon jammed aka unable to fire within x seconds.
[*]Badges and boxes - You need to pick up badges to unlock weapons. You need to pick up boxes to obtain weapons.
[*]Hats - Think of hats like PERKS/Passive ability. Different hat gives different function/abilities that affects your gameplay. A simple concept that has been put to a good & creative use. +1 to the dev.

Progression wise, the only thing that matter is the number of badges which you have collected so far. Because the more badges you collect, the more "better" weapons you unlocked. This can range from uzis, shotgun, rpg, flamethrower, a cat cannon thingy, DNA gun.
Enemies (and civilians) upon killed will randomly drop loot on the ground for the player. There's mushroom to slow down time, grenades, weapon power ups, donuts (for healing), bullet-proof vest aka armour and money. Money only serves to buy hats. "better" weapons have a limited amount of ammo to use before reverting back to the default pistol.
Each level has bosses and every bosses is unique and has been designed properly . Although I am not in favour of the final boss design/concept.
[h1]My personal thoughts/My Summary[/h1]
At the end of the day, what will i remember D&J? it is a bug-free product. It offers player some kind of gun mayhem experience but on higher level difficulty, its a torture. It can turn into a sick joke very fast. Difficulty spike in the last level. No idea why/how that last level and boss came into this product - or rather - how is it even relevant?
Hats, hats are amazing. From batman, robocop, gordon Ramsey, witch bomb runs? Higher level difficulty games are super tough. It became a sick joke for me. Some may even say the level design is unfair aka cheap tricks , making it feel like artificial/fake difficulty. I don't recall any fondness/likeness or fun memories at all.
Does that mean it's a bad product? No. It's just lacking in the fun department. Unlike gibz, guns gore and cannoli 1 & 2, overcooked 1 & 2, plants vs zombies or even super blood hockey - it doesn't have any "interesting" moments, it's not wacky enough, there's no "interesting" enemies/encounters/intense funny moments and there's no element that makes you want to play on.
I like the vehicle level. I wished there were more levels/gameplay using the vehicle mechanics.
I also liked the train map. I wished there were more things that i could do - but all that level does is it constrains my movement.
I wished that my character could buy/start with a particular weapon instead of relying on picking up random boxes.
I would've like other "game modes" apart from slaughtering feast..
I wouldn't mind getting chased by a horde of donuts or civilians...sigh
So, on the scale of 0 - 10, my personal rating for Donuts'n'Justice is a [b]Plain[/b] Glazed Donut, just worth 5/10. I am aware that this was made by a 1 man developer. It has the right scope & direction however it just lacks fun factor unlike the other titles which i have mentioned. Well, I can only hope that FobTi interactive can deliver future products with more fun factor.
I am going out for a snack and lets pray that no over-sized donut monster will try to chew my head off.

Oyun çok güzel 76 dakika gibi kısa bir sürede bitirdim oyunu. Kısa ama eğlenceli indirimde kaçırmayın derim. Tek başınıza bile olsa güzel zaman geçire bilirsiniz. Arkadaşlarınızla girerseniz daha fazla da eğleneceğinizden eminim. Kısaca alın oynayın pişman olmayacaksınız.
This is partly my fault -- I'd assumed this was a side scrolling beat-em-up but nope, it's closer to a bullet hell shmup. Enemy bullets look just like YOUR bullets, which only adds to the on-screen chaos. Lack of resolution options beyond "720p window" and "fullscreen" is a serious ding against it, the direction-based controls are confusing, and you die so quickly that it's hard to learn what you did wrong so you can improve your play next time around.

Um baita jogão que faz relembrar grandes clássicos e ao estilo "Bruce Willis" em Duro de matar. Donuts'n'Justice concentra a emoção clássica dos jogos de tiro de 16 - 32 bits e faz relembrar como era gostoso jogar nos consoles da época.
Na pele de dois policias estilo John Travolta e Samuel L. Jackson, sua missão é combater o crime nas ruas da cidade descendo bala em quem atravessar seu caminho.
O jogo contem algumas missões que desbloqueiam chapéus diferentes que te dão alguns benefícios durante a gameplay.

Donuts ‘n’ Justice is a pixelated game that appears to be a throwback to the arcade games of the 1980s. It is also a reminder of the famous 1980s TV show Miami Vice. It is not a brawler game by any means; it is a side-scrolling shooter in which you go up against criminals by playing either Mick Riggs or Nick Gordon if you choose the single-player mode. You can also play co-op with a friend so that both Riggs and Gordon can take down the criminals together.
By looking at the game’s graphics, this is no doubt an indie game. It looks quite decent for an indie game. You simply shoot at bad guys as you move horizontally to the right, but there will be some villains shooting at you from behind on the left side of the screen. The keyboard controls are simple: X to shoot left, C to shoot right, Spacebar to throw grenades and arrow keys to move around. I got accustomed to the controls quickly despite not having much experience with them. As the action progresses, criminals will drop items such as badges, mushrooms (eat them to slow down time), boxes of new weapons. and donuts. Donuts have long been associated with cops, but in this game, donuts can save your life since they add lost health. Weapons range from the familiar to the laugh out loud types. One weapon, a DNA modifier, turns enemies into animals like chickens and pigs.
Despite the generous health bar and the donuts that frequently drop to the ground, you will die a lot. The game is easy to learn, hard to master. You will have to move around a lot to avoid getting shot, but sometimes there are way too many bullets to avoid. There is no save point throughout a given level, but I do not complain about that since that was the way arcade games were back in the day. Some may not like the lack of a save point in the middle of each level. Dying on a level will force you to restart the level. Shooting civilians in higher difficulty modes will cause your weapon to jam and this becomes very problematic due to the number of enemies firing bullets at you. Trying to reach a donut to recover health while dodging so many bullets can be grueling and lead to instant death even at the easiest difficulty mode.
There are four stages of action in the game and each stage ends with a boss. I feel like the game ends too soon after stage four, as I was able to complete the game on the first day I launched it. While the gameplay is challenging, even on the easiest difficulty level, the brief nature of the stages makes it feel like there is limited replay value. What is fun throughout the game is the ability to pick up cash from dead criminals to buy creative hats in the shop. Some hats are simply for aesthetics whereas other hats provide special powers like an automatic bullet proof vest and the ability to keep civilians alive even if shoot them. There is a pumpkin hat that leads to the game having a Halloween theme. The pumpkin hat leads to spontaneous witch hat drops that can be picked up and automatically summon witches to help your cause. The hats are also great for unlocking Steam achievements. In the past the Halloween based achievements could only be unlocked in October, but the developer changed it so that you can unlock these achievements at any time. Upon completion of the game, the Boss Rush mode is unlocked on the main menu so that you can take on the same bosses you faced in each stage.
Donuts ‘n’ Justice is a retro game with a decent retro look and feel. The limited replay value due to only four stages in the game is the game’s greatest weakness. I think it is good for those who want to relive the 1980s of arcade pixelation, nice Steam achievements, and Steam trading cards. This is an ordinary game that breaks no boundaries.

Innecesariamente difícil, lo que arruina un poco la experiencia, pues en verdad que es un buen juego. Sólo que creo que no supieron mesurar la curva de aprendizaje, y contraponerla con el disfrute del juego en sí.

I liked the visual style and the reviews were positive so I gave it a shot. To be honest, I expected more. The gameplay felt pretty flat and unpolished.
I played it with a friend and in the train level (apparently the last?) we felt really done with it. Unsatisfied done, unfortunately.

I like this game. But it has some menu bugs
Amzaing game. I love it! I play it with a fight stick and it feels like I'm a kid playing in an arcade. I wish there were more games like this one!
30 minutes playing it was being stuck on stage 2, on normal. Each game over screen will beckon you to play it on "thumbsucker". Dev, you are a straight up a$$ clown, creating turd controls (A for left shooting and B for right shooting, who even does that on a side scroller?) and saying since this time last year that you would create trigger options for gamepads (which you didn't).
Since I'm a fan of all things 8-bit retro, and love Miami Vice, and it is a fun game, I recommend it. You will just have to deal with the sh!t controls and underwhelming upper teir weapons (some of which actually handicap you as you progress).

It is immediately obvious that this game does not control well and has less enjoyability than even old SNES games of yesteryear. Everything feels off, and eyeballed into place with a distinct amateur touch.
If you are going to be able to cope with older sprites and debatably slower animations then do yourself a favor and try out an old Metal Slug game instead of this. You will find a much better crafted and overall more gripping experience with those to be sure.

Donuts'n'Justice is one of the best 2D arcade shmups I've ever played. Looking for a real challenge? This game is for you. Its standard difficulty is so hard that even though the game only has 6 short stages/bosses, it took me around 5-6 hours to beat it. Your reflexes will be tested constantly while playing this game and you will die....a lot. So much in fact that the game tips on each loading screen will encourage you to demote your difficulty down to "Thumbsucker" mode. There is also an even harder mode available within the settings but beware - I'm sure it can't be good for your blood pressure, lol. I'm convinced that the overall difficulty of this game was balanced a certain way to encourage co-op play, which is a big feature of this game. Vibrant, silly, action-packed and extremely fast-paced, the game is centered around two Super Cops in the 80s who are on a mission to eat donuts and kick ass. Fighting through droves of laser-wielding criminal gangs, gun-toting punks, katana-swinging ninjas, molotov-chucking thugs and even alien donuts, you start the game with a pretty useful sidearm (good firing speed and decent damage) + infinite ammo and the unlockable arsenal is generous considering the small scope of this game. It contains about 10 unique weapons, but you don't have each weapon on hand at all times - you must pick up boxes that are dropped by slain enemies in order to obtain a random weapon out of the 10. Picking up these boxes can either work in your favor or not, depending on what weapon you end up with since some are weaker/slower than others and some are situational at best. Some weapon examples include grenades, powerful pistols, shotguns, uzis, flamethrower, rocket launcher, sniper rifle, freeze gun, kitty gun, DNA swapping gun, etc. Slain enemies will also sometimes drop other pick-ups to turn the tide of battle such as bulletproof vests to protect you and magic mushrooms (tripping on these slows everything around you down so you can take a breather if you're getting swarmed). The controls are super simple and easy to use - arrow keys to move and the X/C keys to fire left and right. The sound design is high-energy, catchy and repetitive, but no matter how long you stay trying to pass a level, the music never gets annoying. Customization is also available after collecting enough wads of cash dropped by dead guys - you can purchase different kinds of fun hats to wear in game (some even have useful gameplay perks that activate when they are worn). Additionally, the pixel art and retro design for this game is gorgeous and performance is extremely smooth, I was very impressed upon finding out that this was a completely homemade indie game crafted with total love by just one dev. He nailed it all. In conclusion, Donuts'n'Justice is a highly enjoyable experience packed full of challenge and you genuinely feel rewarded upon beating it. Buy this game and support awesome indie devs!

Trustily there is all most not one. Anyway you can play as Mike Riggs or Nick Gordon there is really nothing different except one is white and one is black but that’s about it, but anyway you pare a young cop on the street and you must fight your way to the boss.
Okay so what’s there to like about this game, the fast paste action was good, the fun weapons you use were fun to use like the flamethrower, loved the old school retro/arcade feel of the game, the music was nice too.
Now for the annoying parts of the game, game is a bit short you can beat it in two hours maybe three if you’re getting achievements, game could have used some story, and some more bosses too.
So with all that said this is a really nice game, and if you’re looking for a fun but hard old school retro/arcade you really can’t go wrong with this one.

These developers have no business charging $5 for this POS. Seriously, unless this game is on sale for $.50 or it's part of a cheap bundle, just ignore it.
Everything about this title feels lazy and half baked - almost like it's a demo released as a full title. Ridiculously short play time coupled with crummy controls... yeah, I could go on but I think I've made my point. There are plenty of other titles on Steam that are more worthy of your time and money than this garbage; steer clear.

Fantásticos pixeis. Aqui está um Miami Vice se fosse feito na época (inicio dos 80s). Ao estilo arcade, não esperem um jogo fácil, nem mesmo jogando em modo fácil :) um shooter que é mais um shoot'them-up, a atravessar nivel após nivel numa cidade lindamente desenhada ao estilo retro, e a desbloquear novas e interessantes armas, num jogo que se torna bastante viciante. Recomendável a todos os amante de estilo retro, e boa pixel art.
Convaincre quelqu'un de continuer à jouer avec vous à Donuts'n'Justice se révélera bien plus compliqué que de le terminer.

Весьма однообразная и по своему простая как пиу пиу2д стрелялька. Уровни ничем не отличаются, враги кроме ак внешне тоже, механика не изменяется, вообщем скука эпичная. может в коопе как то и весело, но не думаю, что такого веселья хватит на долго. Если сравнивать ЭТО с метал слаг, то последний - это просто алмаз, по сравнению с этим куском г. Я бы прошел спокойно мимо нее.

Low-fi indie trash sadly. Which I was expecting, but it's worse than that.
It's a cross between SHMUP and a beat'em up with problematic hit boxes, inconsistent item drops, and a strange damage system. You get zero invincibility frames after being hit and the enemies just run at you and rapid fire off a burst or melee from below you on the screen. Normally in a beat 'em up there's some leeway between vertical positions on the screen, but not here. Also the amount of damage you can take in an instant can be nearly fatal and often comes at angles or from a hitscan weapon. You can only fire directly left or right. Oh, and there's grenades. That throw too far for how fast enemies move and take too long to explode.
The entire game has the makings of something fun, but instead is a miserable waste of time and money. I only spent $2 and I feel it wasn't worth it when I had low expectations to begin with.
Vale a Pena jogar, gameplay boa, soundtrack melhor ainda...um pouco dificil mas com toda certeza vale a pena jogar :D

add steam cloud save, played the game and did all the achievements, now after the update there are more achievements but i dont have my safe file anymore, really unpleased.
please add a option to select any of the levels after you have finished them/finished the game. aftter finishing the game i could only replay the last level or reset the game :(
and please add achievements for every mission/stage/level for each star rating - the 3 star rating is currently useless

My review is based on playing the game on all difficulties in local co-op during a couple of evenings. I recommend playing it with a friend. It will last an hour or a couple depending on your skill levels.
The good:
- nice retro graphics and sounds
- local co-op works perfectly and has controller support
- fun weapons and atmosphere

- really short, was expecting to see many more levels
- kitty gun just sounds annoying

В этой игре где-то всего 5 уровней, но какая же верная в них игровая механика! Враги появляются справа и слева, умирают с двух-одного попаданий и оставляют после себя кучу вкусняшек. Это было бы легко, если бы они появлялись только с одной стороны, но на деле игроку требуется разворачиваться и отвлекаться, а парни справа тем временем подходят ближе и рассредотачиваются. Но динамика лишь отчасти в этом, больше игроку приходится двигаться из-за постоянных апгрейдов атаки, случайного оружия, денег, жетонов, пончиков иии... грибов! Опасен ли коп под грибами с огнеметом для случайно встречаемых гражданских? Они приходят со стороны врага - это основная сложность Donuts'n'Justice. Ведь их убийство не только влияет на вашу карму, но и лишает возможности стрелять на пару секунд. За это время какие-нибудь якудзы с катанами уже окружат вас в кутерьме из вражеских пуль. А еще здесь есть невидимый счетчик комбо, влиящий на очки прохождения.
Деньги открывают шапки, жетоны - новое оружие. Это единственный элемент реиграбельности, но он заставляет вас больше двигаться и в самих перестрелках. После прохождения уровня следует схватка с боссом. К сожалению, малая продолжительность это ее не главный минус, ведь за это короткое время игроку противопоставляется добротное испытание на ловкость рук (особенно тем, кто поставил сложность Чак Норрис). Нет, проходясь эта игра хоть за тот же час времени, она все равно бы могла отбить свой ценник вдвое успешнее, имея больше отсылок на классику и самое главное - это умение правильно их отыграть. Случайные встречи в перестрелке с какими-нибудь черепашками-ниндзя? Диалог с боссом с отсылками на Эдди Мерфи с его персонажем копа из Беверли-Хиллз? Хоть какие-то видеоставки, даже текстовые с картинками, в которых опять же, юмор и отсылки? В общем, имея крепкую игровую основу, при этом Donuts'n'Justice упускает тот простор в нашей памяти и любви, сеттинг которого же она и выбрала.
Но стоит отдать должное - помимо удачной игровой механики с хорошей динамичностью и небольшым фансервисом, нарисованы уровни очень хорошо, а озвучка выполнена в стиле игровых автоматов, чем и доставляет. Остается надеяться, что Сильвия (жена разработчика, любовно упоминаемая в титрах), не будет на него слишком наседать и он выпустит продолжение. А пока что, один час смакования или десять - это не самое важное в сладкой глазури пончиков, если под ней в них скрывается качественное тесто, что и демонстрирует Donuts'n'Justice, полностью отбивая свой ценник.

We just beat this game in about an hour and while the price might be ok for an hour of fun, this was mostly an hour of tedium and spam. What annoys me the most is that this game just feels really lazy. The bosses are not balanced at all. The first one might have been a challenge to some but all the bosses after that don't even really have a pattern. Just shoot them until they are dead. The last couple bosses didn't even hit us once even though we were not good at the game. We had to repeat levels constantly and I ran in front of the stupid train at least 6 times.
The controls don't feel all there, the drops are too random and too frequent to care about, the grenades are more bother than anything. Some of the random weapons are just really useless and all the money you pick up can only ever be used to buy one out of about 15-20 uninspired hats. The hat thing really drives home the feeling of how robots probably designed this game on an assembly line of uninspired games. "It needs hats for the sake of it. Hoomans love hats."
This one don't. I wish I hadn't bought the game not because it was a huge waste of money but rather because I supported lazy game design and fell for it just because it has local coop.
It looks good and is rather fun but you will beat it under 1 hour and after that there is no replay value.
There is hats to unlock and secret rooms to find but it doesn't add much to the game.
Even as you play you pick up powerful weapons at random and unlock more thru the game - if not for that mechanic and you would have better weapons from the start the game would be even shorter. This random mechanic is just there to pad the game time and make the game slightly less predictable.

Reminiscent of the classic 8-bit 3rd generation of video games, Donuts’n’Justice is a good game to pick up and play. With fluid and simple controls on either on the keyboard or with a gamepad-(Steam Controller used here!) and pretty simple basic plot: shoot all on screen bad guys with the guns you’ll use/unlock until the end and you’ll do fine.
Just one thing to keep in mind: just like old 8-bit games, Donuts’n’Justice has the difficulty worthy of being “Nintendo Hard” and it will show when you die, not just once or twice but a number of countless times.
Other than that, Donuts’n’Justice is fun game to play, whether for a throwback to the 3rd generation or just wanting a “Nintendo Hard” rush, for the price tag of $5-(US), it’s a good deal!

-Soundtrack: Nothing special to say about it, each level and even the menu is just a 1 minute beat looped
It`s sometimes annoying to find a new weapon when you`re using one already, and i was thinking that this game would be totally ideal if it was multiplayer, but playing with friends online, not in "Co-op local", just like Portal 2.
(Really short game, just 5 levels?!)
Other than that, great game, gives you a lot of nostalgia

This game is really fun! This is one of those games where you can feel that every pixel had great love put into it. Despite its basic appeal, this game really does separate itself from others like it. With its low price tag, Donuts 'n Justice is easily worth a buy!
Well, i have to say something interesting about this game, i was expecting a bad game actually, but i found out an amazing indie arcade jewel like " Donuts 'n' Justice ", I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loved this game XD, I highly recommend it, it's worth it even the price it should be a little more fair than the actual one, buy it, trust me XD, I had lots of fun with this game, me and my brother XD, I have to say thanks to the creator and he should make a 2nd one or dlc with more levels, bosses, characters or costumes even more weapons, like a laser gun or a hadouken XD.
It's an OK game, pretty bare bones.
Basically a side scrolling shooter with some fairly boring powerups, random weapons you can "unlock" to pick up that have limited ammo.
Biggest complaint and annoyance: everytime you die you restart a mission. For a "bullet hell" kinda game, this is God-awful. You have 3 health points but health rarely comes and when it does its one health point, so basically you'll die 9 billion times and restart the level 9 billion times until you get tired of the headache and have to stop.
Ok... ok this game is great good idea very well made but I find it really really hard and I havent even beat the first level do not recomend to people new the this genre like me but it is very fun, would not return it and I hope it gets more noticed

第二关在死了无数遍后，我们决定不打了，一直在躲避，然后就通关了，
因为这个游戏只会存在4个敌人在地图上，一旦杀死就会重新刷出来，让游戏变得很难，
再就是汽车战，但是没有碰撞伤害，所以只要你的车跟boss的车在一起，接着无限的按子弹就结束了
最后是最可怕的设计缺陷，我们在第三关发现，在第四关任然有用，就是你只要站在屏幕视角的最上面或者最下面中间，敌人就无法攻击到你。
还有就是boss，除了忍者，其他的都特别好打。
还是推荐这个游戏，画风玩法都OK。

This is a good game ,until we find THE BUG destroed all of expriences of this game.
When we died so many times in stage 2, we thought mabye we should just avoid the attack from enemies not attack them .And we just pass this stage after that.Then we realize this game is setting the game always have 4 enemies in the screen unless you are in the end of stage.
Car battle is so amazing ,but we still find a bug that no demage when our car was impacting the boss car, so we KO the boss very quickly and easy.
THE most terrible bug is if you stand the middle in top or below of game screen, the enemies cannot attack YOU !
We find it in stage3 but it's also useful in stage 4.
Anyway ,this game is pretty good , i RECOMMEND IT TO YOU!!!

A pretty simple scrolling arcade shooter. Miami Vice seems to be a big influence on the main characters and some of the backgrounds in the game. It's obviously a nice little tribute to 80's action films an television. From fighting roving bands of ninja's in China-Town, to mohawk an machine gun wielding punk gangs in the subway system. All those great 80's action cliches are represented.
It also contains some more bizarre things like a giant pile of green slime an super sized angry Alien Donut! The games sense of humor is certainly one thing that makes it stand out. Most notably on the final stage where you discover aliens did indeed kidnap Elvis and he's being kept alive!
The pixel art is well done, creative, an colorful. Really gives off the feeling of playing mid 80's early computer games quite well. The background detail is pretty good an far from bland. Each area looks unique an stands out pretty well. I especially like the graffiti covered subway that comes scrolling by on the subway tunnel stage. The main characters almost remind me of Leisure Suit Larry from their outfits.
While the game in itself is short (having taken me about an hour to finish on my first attempt) it does offer some replayability by offering a Boss Rush mode once you complete the game on any difficulty setting. Although I will say the bosses in this game are probably the easiest part. It takes me just barely about a minute to complete boss rush. The main stages are much more difficult. But you also have the option of trying to collect all 10 unlockable weapons which you have to collect badges dropped by enemies to obtain. Everything from Bazookas, Laser guns, and even a fairly useless but funny freezing ray gun.
The concept is simple but quite fun. All you're really trying to do is dodge bullets an lay waste to enemies, while hopefully avoiding shooting the occasional civilian that comes across your path. You're given grenades, a starting pistol an as you progress extra weapons, armor, donuts for extra health, power ups that super charge your weapon and sometimes exploding barrels you can use to kill groups of enemies.
The sound effects are pretty well done. The music is also pretty good and fits well with each stage. Movement controls are very smooth an responsive using a controller. Haven't tried it out with only keyboard.
Difficulty wise I found the game fairly easy to complete even on the highest setting. But I'm also the type of person that can 1cc Cave shmups and tend to be pretty decent at difficult shooters. I would say for the average player this game is in the middle of the road difficulty wise on normal setting. Not impossible but requires some good reactions to dodge bullets.
Even if you're not that great at this kind of game, on the "Thumbsucker" setting I think most people could complete it after a few tries. Once you complete a particular stage the game saves your progress so you can continue back from the stage you left off at if you exit the game.
Fairly short but sweet budget indie game. No online coop but the game supports local 2 player mode. I feel like the only downside to Donuts 'N Justice is just the fact it's so short. For the low price I'd say it's worth buying. Especially if you're craving a quick dose of some run an gun action that is pretty easy to dive into.
