Walking around in this game honestly feels like stepping into a living version of the park, the layout, the atmosphere, the music playing in different areas… everything feels familiar in the best possible way. You can just wander around, recognize places, and suddenly run into characters you grew up watching, that alone already makes the experience special, the exploration is easily the best part, instead of forcing you down a strict path, the game lets you move around freely between the different lands, discovering things naturally, one moment you’re just exploring a corner of the park, and the next a character asks for help with a small adventure, these little missions usually lead into mini games or short stories connected to their world, which makes every encounter feel meaningful rather than just a quick interaction, there’s also a surprising amount to do, many characters have their own quest lines, and completing them unlocks memories, collectibles, and other things tied to their stories. It creates a really satisfying sense of progress because the more you explore and help out, the more the game opens up. It’s the kind of game where you start with one small task and end up spending an hour doing different activities without even noticing, the mini games themselves are simple but really fun. They’re all themed around the characters and their universes, so each one feels different from the last, some are about timing, some about movement, and others are more like small adventures, because of that variety, the gameplay never really feels repetitive, another thing that kept me playing is the amount of collectibles hidden around the park, there are memories, items, and secrets scattered everywhere, which makes exploring every corner feel rewarding, even when you think you’ve seen everything in an area, there’s usually something you missed earlier, visually, the game captures the charm of the park really well. The colors are bright, the environments are detailed, and the characters look great, the music also adds a lot to the atmosphere, certain themes instantly bring back that magical feeling you get when walking through the park in real life, what I enjoy the most is the overall vibe, it’s relaxing, cheerful, and full of little details that clearly come from people who understand what makes this universe special, you can just spend time exploring, interacting with characters, completing quests, and enjoying the atmosphere, it’s the kind of game that’s very easy to come back to, even after finishing several missions, it’s always fun to walk around again, see familiar characters, and discover something you didn’t notice before

Letztlich ist es das, was schon in etlichen Bewertungen stand: ein ziemliches Grind-Game.
Ich war darauf vorbereitet und habe es mir dennoch im Angebot gekauft. Ich habe bekommen, was ich erwartet hatte, von daher kann ich so gesehen nicht meckern.
Die Quests sind inhaltslos, stupide und repetitiv. Die Steuerung ist - vor allem in den Attraktionen - oft clunky und eher frustrierend als unterhaltsam.
An sich fand ich die meisten Attraktionen allerdings echt schön, immer mit kleiner Story versehen und ein eigenes kleines Abendteuer für sich. Wünschenswert wäre noch gewesen, auch Cutscenes in der Mitte eines Levels skippen zu können, nicht nur am Anfang und Ende.
Durch den wirklich riesigen Park zu spazieren, die unterschiedlichen Themenbereiche und Charaktere und sehen, war sehr schön. Am Anfang braucht es eine ganze Weile sich zurecht zu finden und sich nicht zu verlaufen.
Besonders gnädig war, dass es für 100 % Achievements nicht nötig ist, alles ingame auf 100 % zu spielen, vor allem für die Open-World-Vervollständigung (Wasserspritze, Blaster, Zauberstab, Zauberspiegel, Megaphon) muss nicht alles gemacht werden, davon reichen 50 %. Es braucht nur alle Fotos und Alben und dazu gibt es sehr gute Guides. Auch für das Finden der Geheimnisse in den Attraktionen empfehle ich einen Guide zur Hilfe zu nehmen, spart Zeit und Nerven.
Insgesamt vergebe ich eine mittelmäßige Bewertung, denn das Game hat definitiv seine Schwächen auch wenn der Park und die Attraktionen schön gestaltet waren.

This is a game that would benefit from 5 star review system, instead of up/down. It's a 3 out of 5 for me. It's a game that's showing its age and has zero dev support / updates anymore. Having said that, it's fun to walk around the park. NPC interaction (while repetitive) is fun and features all of the main characters you would want to interact with. This is a fetch quest / collect the items game with the map laid out like the theme park. Each themed area features rides and characters you would see at the real park. The rides are guided, so it's impossible to get lost, BUT.... also provides difficulty for those wanting to grab the collectibles hidden within each, allowing for multiple runs on each. Other than some timing elements within these games, it's pretty chill. You walk/run around the park at your own pace, interact with items/character NPC's, and visit souvenir shops to unlock clothing, collectible pins, and outfits. If you have kids / partners, there are some limited co-op activities/mini-games, but is largely a solo game. Young kids may find it difficult to navigate the map (as its a theme park), but other than that would have fun walking around and giving high fives and hugs to their favorite Disney characters. You can buy at full price and not feel cheated, but does go on sale occasionally. If you are an achievement hunter, this one is a slog. If you are a kid at heart, you won't mind. It's a nice game experience (albeit a bit dated and repetitive).

You walk around Disneyland and essentially just visit the theme park virtually. I bought it on sale and let my young daughter wander around to meet characters and try minigames.

It's really something to entertain a young child that's into Disney characters for a few hours. Don't expect great gameplay or a story.

Yes, you can play Disneyland Adventures in 3D in VR using the Geo11 3D driver (search for it) that is completely free. Geo11 converts almost any game with DX11 into 3D. Then you just need an app to view the 3D content in VR, such as Virtual Desktop Streamer or Bigscreen VR (free). Playing this in 3D in VR is like playing a game at a 3D movie theater.

There is a big issue with this game though. The lighting / shadows on some 3D models (close to the camera) do not render correctly in 3D. However, the map itself looks wonderful in 3D. So, overall, the game looks great in 3D in VR, but yeah, the lighting issue needs a specific fix. Hopefully, somebody will fix it in the future.

In any event, I enjoyed exploring Disneyland in 3D in VR. The game is complete eye candy and is better looking than the vast majority of VR games released recently, especially on an RTX 5090. If you own the game and have a VR headset with a beefy rig, it's a no brainer to experience. I just wish this game had an official VR port. Since it's an original Kinect game, it would work perfectly in PCVR.

This game was designed for the Kinect so a lot of the actions in game don't really make any sense. A noticeable amount of things in game simply don't work and much of it is just grinding (like watering half the plants in the game). It's decent for little kids who don't really know how games work but outside of that it should have been left behind with the Kinect. That being said, my wife who is not a gamer enjoyed a good amount of it.

The game is pretty fun, you get to forget your an adult for awhile. I originally played this when I had GamePass, as it is something easy, I didn't have to think about. I kinda wanted to play something like that again, and got this when it was on sale.

You get to spend time in Disney without all the crowds and queuing for the rides and meeting the characters. You won't see any of the LucasFilm characters/rides which is a little disappointing, I understand as the game is more aimed at kids. You will find yourself singing "It's A Small World" though, I'm warning you now. The missions are pretty easy, you are directed to the objectives. They are mostly, go here, get this, come back, go there, come back, go somewhere else. That can get a little tedious. There are lot of little side quests you can do to take a break from them. There are some audio clues as well, which hits something is near by that you need to collect. The ride mini games are more complicated to get your head around what to do. That might just be me. It does tell you what to do on the loading screen, it would be better if it came with a visual cue.

The biggest gripe with the game is when you're doing the side quest of shooting lights, watering plants etc, they never stayed "done" when you exited the game and came back to it. If you had shot 9 out of 10 lights, and you exited the game, you can interact with the 9 you've already "done" it won't count leaving you repeating your steps. I tried to do it all in one go which isn't always possible.

The graphics are incredible for the games age, I did have to play around with settings to get it to display correctly. I do have dual monitors and the game always on the monitor that wasn't the default, which is kinda annoying as I had to move it. It launches on the monitor that the PC recognises as 1.

I do recommend the game if you're looking for something light hearted, something you can really switch off the outside world, or you really wanna go to Disney without queues. I would get it on sale as £15 for a 7 year old game feels a little expensive to me.

I LOVE DISNEY GAMES but best one I have been working throughout the week before i leave a little bit of a review. THE VOICES are a bit muffled which let the game down a little bit as characters give you directions on how to make them happier. Love the way the game is set in Disney land but doesn't have new characters just the basics the newest one in this gama be tibia and not everyone knows of her. So this game needed to be considered for an update on the basis of the characters to call to the modern day gamer but I still enjoy the attractions and the characters. In the attractions you can play themed mini games which each one is different and very cool to play. IT is unlike any other Disney games as you don't need to grow or go far to find out more

If you’ve ever wanted to stroll aimlessly through a virtual Disneyland, running errands for a small army of passive-aggressive mascots who never seem to lift a finger themselves, this is your moment. The game offers a delightful opportunity to question your life choices while obediently fetching things for an anthropomorphic duck who can’t be bothered to fetch them himself.

It’s a textbook “no-brainer” – not in the sense of being intellectually stimulating, but in the sense that your brain can happily clock off for the day while you collect shiny coins. These, of course, must be spent on designer clothes and utterly pointless merchandise. Occasionally, the game will even force you into a wardrobe purchase before letting you proceed, which I can only assume is part of the mandatory capitalism curriculum.

As in real life, people are constantly standing in your way. Unlike real life, however, you can simply nudge them aside without so much as a frown in return. It’s oddly therapeutic.

In between shopping therapy sessions, you’ll find a handful of surprisingly charming mini-games in the park attractions. They’re fun, not too hard, and mercifully free of anything resembling real-world consequences. The lovingly recreated Disneyland is a pleasure to wander, though it’s worth remembering this game is from 2017 – the visuals are pleasant, but hardly cutting-edge.

All told, even at full price, it’s worth the ticket. Think of it as a holiday to Disneyland where you don’t have to queue for the rides, deal with screaming children, or remortgage your home. Which, frankly, is a bit of magic in itself.

I remembered that this game was for Kinect, but didn't realize that this game was re-released/remastered for the Steam. I'm actually glad I got a chance to play this after this was on sale for $7.

I remembered what this place was like after visiting the park multiple times as a kid. There were a lot of stuff that I remembered back then, but now it's 2025 and everything has changed compared to the virtual recreation of the park. I really like the idea of pressing buttons to trigger interactions with characters and items rather than voice recognition/motion controls as the game doesn't usually program these two compared to the original. Once you completed all of the adventures, there's just no end to it since you're just filling in photos, obtaining hidden mickeys throughout the park and attractions, and getting secrets from various items.

The only thing that bugs me when I am playing this is during one of Peter Pan's quests, where not only you would have to wear the pirate clothing but you would also have to wear the bandana at the same time, which triggers Captain Hook's quest. And if you change into something else then it would be impossible to revert back to the full pirate costume, which made me start the whole game over again.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. I do wish there was a sequel to this like Disneyland today (with some changes including Tiana's Bayou Adventure, Galaxy's Edge and new characters/quests), a separate/similar game like this but with California Adventure, or the other Disneyland parks outside of the US like Disneyland Paris, just so that players could see what the virtual recreation of the park would look like if we are unable to travel there in person.

I thought Disneyland Adventures was a fun and fancy free game that will surely entertain children and any adult ready to have a whimsical experience. For anyone that enjoys the theme park setting and general Disney movies, you’ll have a great time exploring a digital Disneyland with a lot of cute minigames based off of the iconic rides. Some of the minigames and open world secrets were a bit frustrating for someone like me chasing after a 100% completion stat. There were occasional bugs, or some challenges that felt just a little too difficult for a children’s game, some of which left an adult me a bit frustrated.

While I never played the original Xbox Kinect version of this game, I thought this was well made for younger players to enjoy exploring and being wowed by the Disneyland setting. The locations and characters were accurate and gave a comfortable vibe, the music was appropriate, the graphics were overall very pretty, and the controls were simple enough for anyone to understand. I have a warm, happy feeling after completing everything, and I think the target audience will have a great time playing this!

Very authentic Disneyland for the year it was developed. A few glitches: Shooting the light over the entrance to Bobsleds is fiddly; needing a game controller to wave at Roo in Winnie the Pooh; needing a mouse to use the Blaster from Buss LIghtyear and to play Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain and Astro Blasters, possibly more....I use my laptop to play this, but can't use the touchpad as mouse. But play enough and you get used to those. I think you can use a controller for everything, but I'm more comfortable with my laptop.

Was a pretty fun game. Not really too hard as you are lead to most of the objectives you needed to find. The hard part was trying to figure out what to do on the rides as certain things (like finding some of the hidden mickeys) were not easy to do not well explained. I also wish that you could ride the rides like they are at the park.
Game looked good and sounded good, but crashed a lot on my Steam deck. Also certain things you could water or shoot weren’t marked as already done if you shut game down and then started later. If you don’t get them all on 1 run, makes it difficult to complete later.
It still, a pretty fun game with some moderate challenge.

As a 37 year old male, this game finally gives me the ability to live out my dream of being a Disney princess at Disneyland.

Considering I’ll be soon be turning 38, I believe I am the target demographic for this game. Pure vibes.

I originally bough this game for my wife’s boyfriend to play on my Steam Deck though. He has since bought a Steam Deck and his own copy of the game to play. I wanted to uninstall it. I really did. But I had to see what all the fuss was about. Donald is my friend now. I would kill for him. Please take this game away from me.

Warning: I bought this thinking that I'd play a few hours at a time and ended up playing it for 11.2 hours and now it's 6 in the morning.

It's a great way to visit Disneyland as it was in 2009 when you were too poor to visit.

I played it at the start of the first covid lock down, and it really helped me. I really loved how the entire park was open from the beginning, you dont need to collect points or coins to open anything, just to get clothes and costumes. I would just run around hugging and dancing with all the characters! It's actually a more kid friendly experience than Dreamlight Valley.

This is one of my favorite chill-out games. I went hog wild with it before my last trip. When I am 'homesick' I wander around the virtual park and listen to the sounds and songs. Its quite therapeutic. I introduced my nephew to it and at 6 he loves the "rides" particularly Pirates and Matterhorn. Its so fun watching him go wild with it. He has no interest in walking around the park but just playing the mini games over and over (or I suppose riding the rides over and over) Just like a true 6 year old at Disneyland. This game is fantastic, and really gives you the magical feeling of being in Disneyland. I love all the small details they added.

Walking around the park is great. It's very accurate (to the version of the park as it was when the game was made), except for the exteriors of Indiana Jones and Roger Rabbit. I can't swear to this, but it feels like even the trash cans and benches are in the right places. If you don't play the game at all, you can still get a good sense of being "in Disneyland." It's basically a game of collections where the characters give you quests and send you around the Disneyland picking up quest items. While you are doing quests there are a set of tools you can use on various objects around the park, a camera to take pictures, autograph books for the characters, outfits and buttons to buy. There are even hidden Mickeys to find. The park layout is very accurate I believe, but the themed rides are all gaming sections (getting from point A to B while avoiding obstacles and grabbing items).

Although it's stuck in 2011 Disneyland, I had a lot of fun running around the park, and my wife’s boyfriend and I were discussing memories we had, and arguing over where we sat to watch a Parade near It's a Small World. I thought it would be terrible, but I ended up enjoying it quite a lot. But like the parks themselves, it gets tiring after a time. If you have the time though, I would highly recommend this game. It's aimed towards kids and young ones, but there was thought put into the details, and there's a Disney Guide throughout the park, and she'll give you random facts about the Park. It's great to scratch that Disneyland itch. Goes for very cheap during a sale on Steam. If you like chill, charming little games it might be worth checking out.

I love playing this game, when I get that Disney itch. This game is pretty outdated for what Disneyland looks like now, but I love seeing all the stuff that I miss while I am at the parks, and still cant help to be in awe when I step in to my save files. I do ignore the story but love the interaction with the walk around characters. Character customization is very limited, and simply half-assed but doesnt stop me from playing.

This game is 100% a guilty pleasure of mine. It has several flaws. Most quests are just fetch quests, minigames are too long, and the switch from kinect to controller can make some sections pretty jank.
But all of that aside, the atmosphere does make you feel like you're actually in Disneyland, and there's a crap ton of things to do if you're going for 100%. I enjoyed the game but you will 100% need to know what you're getting yourself into.

Finished the last of the character story quests with the game around 65% complete. The game is a simple play style of fetch and receive tasks, this does get a little repetitive. But the real magic is being able to explore the park, as someone who will most likely never visit this park I found the game simply immersive. The sounds, the sights and the music really make this game magical along with being able to do side-quests like finding all the hidden mickeys throughout the park etc the game is addictive. An easy no effort game which simply allows your mind to be switched off and you can experience a bit of Disneyland. Having played both this and DDLV they are two very different games and this one should get it's due credit for simplicity and comfort

Pensa como se tu tivesse uma experiência de ir pra disney só que sem ir pra lá, é isso aqui. O jogo da Disney tem um conceito bem simples, você é uma criança dentro do parque, porém por nós sermos um pequeno jovenzinho tudo é muito mais mágico e os bonecos são reais, nosso objetivo é fazer missõeszinhas idiotas pelo mapa e jogar minigames legaizinhos pela mapa.

A premissa do game, no papel é muito foda, tipo em 2011 tu no pc dentro da disney, o ponto forte dele é a vibe da magia do parque, ter em todo canto um personagem de um filme famoso e tal, é bem gostosinho até nesse ponto, e como dito o mapa é full aberto, se sai andando fazendo quests simples de personagens que vc gosta (ou não), e fazendo elas se pode tipo, tirar fotos ou pedir autográfos pros bonequinhos e colecionar isso. E vale lembrar algo bem divertido que são os minigames, por conta de ser direcionado pela Disney as artes são lindas, cada joguinho tem tipo, umas 3 etapas que são lineares, montando uma história bem legal.

Problema que no papel o "Disneyland Adventures" é muito bom, porém ele é um walking simulator fudido, ele funciona? sim, porém é muito monótomo, depois de jogar os minigames meio que perde a graça, o personagem no open world é muito lento, tudo parece ter um cooldown gigante pra te segurar mais tempo jogando, ai tu fica umas 16000 horas no total pra zera apenas andando, patético.

Na minha infância eu joguei muito ele no kinect e me diverti até, porém oque eu mais fazia era passar dificuldades com o reconhecimento do sensor de movimentos e quando não era isso eu tava jogando os minigames. Não recomendo, os únicos pontos bons são realmente ambientação, vibe, gráfico, esse setor ai e os minigames apenas isso.

You will like this if you have any fascination for Disney. I don't care much for disney, but I do enjoy the character designs and some nostalgia in the characters and that is enough for me. The gameplay itself is very child oriented (keep in mind this game is designed for the xbox kinect, and you may be playing on keyboard which is a little frustrating on occassion) but if you want to play for completion, the minigames can be a little challenging to get all the 'secret' collectibles. There are a lot of fetch quests that have you running around the disneyland theme park, you can interact with many original disney characters, and the park rides are translated into minigame format. You don't actually ride the ride, for example, the peter pan ride has you actually flying through london and neverland collecting coins and fighting captain hook's crew. So, the minigames are somewhat immersive to translate the theme of the real world rides. As I said, these minigames are very child-oriented, if you want a more mature gameplay experience that has you travel through *some* real world disney attractions.. I would get the Epic Mickey Rebrushed game. I think traversing the park can be a little tedious since there is no sprint option, but there is fast travel and it does translate the wonder of being at the real park!

A great and cheap way to visit Disneyland, and a good game overall! I was super addicted at first, but the game play does get repetitive. The mini games are all of 3-4 different game play styles and the quests are repeats with different themes/characters. I do love the character interactions - very nice if you're had a hard day. I wish there were more clothes and character customization, and less pins. Like what do you do with the pins? I know you trade them in real life, but they're useless in the game. Overall, I think the game is cute and a nice break if you're a Disney lover. Definitely kid safe/appropriate.

I really wanted to beat this game but it went on longer than it had to. When you visit an area, do the quests and ride the rides, there should be nothing more that you need to do, but the game is designed to make you go back to those places and backtrack a lot. I understand that tools create new quests in the world, but seriously, a 20+ hour fetch quest game with no story? Like, come on… I finally gave up on the game and moved on. Decided to spend another hour in a different game with a linear story and I’m having such a fun time. Disneyland adventures should have been an 8 hour game max.

The Good
The rides were fun.
It was nice to see the characters.
A lot of the voice actors sound like they were from the actual movie, except for buzz, woody, and stinky pete. Probably because coke wasn’t offered in the deal.
The game has good graphics. It has its own style and it’s cute.
The game is cute and the voiced npcs have some funny lines.
The park is a lot like visiting the real thing which is nostalgic.

The Bad
Entire game is a fetch quest that overstays it’s welcome. For example, some guy needs you to get vegetables, water some plants, and get a jazz band, etc. Everyone basically needs you to do boring mindless crap over and over and over again. I would imagine if someone cleaned up their room, made their bed, or did a chore, time would be better well spent than doing another fetch quest in this game.

The tool system is clunky. If they allowed you to switch tools using the dpad, that would have been so much easier. But it is a pain to try and get the tool that you want to use.

The horn tool is a pain to use. You have to be in the perfect position to make it work on objects. And the game wants you to use it on 40+ objects to complete its optional quest. What a waste of people’s time.

Conclusion
The game is alright to just visit and see all the parks and ride on the rides, but doing anything else like the quests is a complete waste of time. You have to trust me that it is in your best interest to stop playing the game once you’ve seen everything that there is to see.

If you are a big Disney fan and fan of the Disney parks. You def have to install this game! You play this game in a 1:1 scale of the Disney anaheim park. One of my favourite games to play! I hope they wil lounge also the Disneyland Paris version or a new game.

Disneyland costs alot so this is a very cost effective way to visit the park from the comfort of your own home. Aspects of the park from 2017 have been preserved in this game. So it does not include Star wars galaxy's edge or Tiana's place but instead has Splash Mountain and that BBQ area behind thunder mountain.

You do not get to ride most of the rides in a traditional sense but instead get to play some mini arcade games throughout them with the ride's theme. For example, you will fly above the streets of london and fight hook in Neverland with peter pan versus sitting on the ride as you would visiting the parks irl. Other than that, the park is laid out exactly as it is irl, including my family's fav table to eat at when we would visit the plaza inn for some grub.

If youre a pin collector or completionist this game will scratch both those brain itches as there are many things to collect throughout the park and you get pins from assisting characters with their quests.

I absolutely love this game. For me it has some nostalgia, I started playing it on my xbox during Covid so I was excited to see it on Steam when I bought a computer a few years later. There are some glitches with hit boxes in some of the games, but nothing you can't power through. If you enjoy Disney, or even just want a relaxing game to escape from daily life, this is it.
