Dinosaur Hunt Puzzle is a typical example of how the simplest idea can be turned into a low-quality hack. What we have here are ordinary sliding puzzles with pictures of dinosaurs, but the problem is that the game was made as lazily as possible. There are only 10 levels available, split into 3x3, 4x4, and 5x5, and that’s all the content there is. There’s some kind of point system for speed and number of moves, but why it’s needed and how exactly it’s calculated is completely unclear.

And yes, I know the game has exactly 5000 achievements, which are dropped on you for every little thing. The situation could have been improved by supporting Steam Workshop, where players are supposedly allowed to upload their own pictures for the puzzles, but it’s implemented terribly. The import and export process is so cumbersome and buggy that you just don’t want to use the feature.

The main menu and general features feel like they were thrown together at the last minute. With zero proper moderation, anything can slip into the workshop—from porn to all kinds of nonsense—which only adds more downsides to the game. In the end, it’s a sloppy project that doesn’t make sense either as a puzzle or a creative platform. So yeah, I’m saying no to this one.
