DMC1 was fun. The gameplay is dated but it isn't terrible and the atmosphere is great! The story was decent and cheesy.
DMC2 is boring as hell. It's super easy and the acting is of the same quality as a wet fart. It had one of the stories of all time
DMC3 was amazing. The gameplay was satisfying and the game wasn't easy or too hard. The story and boss fights were superb.

Devil May Cry HD Collection delivers all the great content of the original Devil May Cry games with improved graphics. You’ll get hours of demon-slaying fun playing as Dante, except for DMC2 which is a terrible game compared to DMC1 and DMC3. The HD Collection is the best way to enjoy the DMC trilogy, the camera is the only consistent annoyance and was kind of frustrating in specific areas in my opinion, but that doesn't mean it's not worth playing at least once. A satisfying experience with nostalgic vibes, definitely recommended.

absolutely love these games!
DMC1 was fun and had a great story, but getting used to the fixed camera positions was pretty difficult (as someone who doesn't play these kinds of games often, but once I got used to it it was a better experience)
DMC2 was a game that I played
DMC3 is my favorite of the three, awesome story, great characterization and moments, and the gameplay mechanics and different fighting styles are so fun,,
absolutely adore this game and I can't wait to be able to play 4 and 5 when I have time!

Devil May Cry 1 is tremendously underrated. Going into it, I got a very different experience than what I was expecting but I enjoyed my playthrough throughout the entire course of the game. It's also the only game in this trilogy where I felt like every single weapon I received while progressing through the game was better than the last. I really like some of the boss fights in this game. Particularly of note, the aura farming Nelo Angelo and his fights might be my favorite in the whole series so far. In terms of pure vibes, Devil May Cry 1 is the best in the trilogy. I highly recommend giving it a shot.

Devil May Cry 2 is criminally boring. I desperately wanted to come into it and be jokingly contrarian like "oh DMC fans just don't understand peak" but I simply cannot bring myself to do it for a game that is this lame. The gameplay feels less weighty and more unenjoyable than 1, and the most uninteresting possible way to play the game (gunspam) is also the easiest and oftentimes the most efficient. Infested Chopper will go down in history as one of the worst boss fights of all time. There is functionally zero important story in the overall course of DMC2, and Dante gets less than a full minute of voice acting in the ENTIRE GAME. There are exactly two (2) moments in DMC2 that are good, and they're both cutscenes near the very end of the game. If you REALLY care, just look up a cutscene compilation, or don't, because the cutscenes still mostly suck. Feel free to skip this game entirely, or try it for a few minutes and then drop it and move on to 3. Speaking of which:

Devil May Cry 3 is universally loved by DMC fans, and I think it's very evident that it's where the franchise finally found its' footing. There's a lot to like, such as the style system, fast weapon swapping, and built in combos for each weapon. While I still like the weapon progression more in DMC1, I appreciate how different and unique the different weapons feel in DMC3, and I have no doubt that the weapons I chose not to use are fan favorites for other people. Devil May Cry 3 has some real stinker bosses and bad platforming/puzzle/level design, but the core gameplay is still the best in the trilogy, and it also has the most interesting story and characters too. Even if you just buy this HD collection for DMC3, I'd say you're spending your money well. Everybody should give this one a try.

As somebody that has never played a Devil May Cry game before, I was very satisfied with my overall experience playing through these three. DMC1 has impeccable vibes, DMC3 has great gameplay, and DMC2 has voice acting and bosses so bad that it could even make a Devil Cry.

Finally got round to playing this collection and I see why this series is so beloved.

DMC1: I'm surprised by how well this has aged. The gameplay is great and the atmosphere of Mallet Island is incredible. DMC fans would argue the only game worth playing in the HD collection is DMC3, but I think DMC1 was pretty damn great too.
DMC2: ...Oof. I wanted everything I heard about this game to be wrong, but the DMC2 naysayers are totally right. There's some good things in here, but ultimately, DMC2 was my least favourite of the collection. The fact that Dante himself canonically doesn't remember much about the events of this game is pretty telling.
DMC3: It's simply peak.

DMC1 : Is good but you fight the same bosses again and again, lacks of variety and to me the camera was the worst of the 3 games and some level design are ass

DMC2 : I enjoyed most of the boss, better movement than dmc1, i lked the wall run, the drip of dante (1000+ aura). But it lacks combo variety and cutscenes.

DM3 : The better game, better gameplay, cutscenes and story, but Dante saying "woohoo" everytime he does something is minus aura to me

Son unos juegazos, pero esta collection que hicieron para supuestamente agrupar los 3 juegos con ''remasterización'' es en realidad Emulador May Cry: Shaders Collection, no es ni siquiera un port sino directamente un emulador con bajones de FPS a pesar de que mi PC podría abrir los 3 juegos al mismo tiempo en 60 FPS si fueran un port digno, para empezar la interfaz de configuración de controles para teclado es una porquería, yo quisiera que los devs de esta collection sin saberse de memoria los botones asignados supiesen que acción ejecuta X, Y, A o B en vez de adaptar e indicar ''Atacar'' o ''Disparar'' como lo haría cualquier juego hasta incluso Free to Play, todo lo que es decirte ''X es en I, Y es en J'' y así sucesivamente al punto de que lo único que tienes claro es que WASD es para moverse, pude apenas sobrellevar esa mala interfaz y esta caida tan asquerosa de FPS por el tiempo que llevo jugando DMC3 SE y los otros desde sus ports individuales para PC y no los de la collection

La saga devil may cry definitivamente se corona como el mejor hack and slash y pionero en su género, el 1ero ya pisó fuerte en ps2 con su estilo de combate único, jefes con moveset fluidos y peleas desafiantes, el 2 es una re mil poronga que no deberia existir pero el 3 salvó completamente a la saga mejorando completamente el sistema de combate que hizo grande a la saga con su primera entrega, la inclusión de estilos que se adaptan a los gustos de cada uno, boss fights excelentes pero a la vez desafiantes, infinidad de combos que se pueden combinar de distintas maneras y con una historia que te atrapa desde el momento 1 con el humor que caracteriza a la saga. RECOMENDADISIMO JUEGAZOS 10/10 (menos el 2 que es una cagada ese no lo jueguen porque arruina todo lo que hizo bueno al 1er juego) te amo devil may cry.

First of all, I recommend playing Devil May Cry with a controller because on keyboard and mouse it sucks (obviously). If you're using a PlayStation controller (like me), you'll have to enable Steam Input, because for me only Xbox controllers worked at 100%. After enabling it, you play normally.
Devil May Cry 1: I recommend it, good game with a good story and an incredible soundtrack, great to start with and understand the mechanics of the third game.
Devil May Cry 2: You can completely skip this game (like I did), it's the worst in the saga, a horrible story and in certain areas of the campaign it doesn't even have a soundtrack—it's like fighting in complete silence and the combos are mediocre. Nothing more to say, I don't recommend it.
Devil May Cry 3: Absolute peak, it's the best in the Saga, incredible soundtrack (more rock-oriented), the combos are magnificent, the bosses are interesting and the variety of weapons is good (even though I used 90% of the campaign with the starting sword lol). You can equip 2 swords and 2 firearms where you can switch without having to go to the menu, the powers are very useful and are specific to a player's gameplay style (for example dodge or defense), the basic and general enemies are much more visually interesting and their fighting style too, much better than the previous games and Dante's humor is the best. Devil May Cry 3 compared to the other 2 ends up being a harder and more challenging game, [spoiler] especially in the fights against Vergil. [/spoiler]

DmC(外伝)のみプレイしてた奴が、ストーリーとゲームが気になり、
DMC全シリーズを順番に網羅するため初見プレイ。

『DMC１』
元々バイオ４のつもりで作られていたが、スタイリッシュさが際立ってしまいDMCとなった話が有名だが、
確かに昔のバイオのような雰囲気を醸しだしていた。
洋館だし、定点カメラだし・・・

元がPS2なので、現在プレイするとさすがに操作感に違和感があったり、
理不尽すぎんだろっ！って思う場面もあったが、
やはりDMC、慣れると戦闘が楽しい。
※後に５をプレイしたが、１をプレイしていて良かったと思える要素が特に多い作品。

『DMC2』
詳しく知らないけど外伝扱いされてる２。
確かにあまりストーリの繋がりを感じなかった・・・
１より理不尽、１より操作ムズイと感じた作品。
あとダンテの代名詞ともいえる「スティンガー」という突き剣技があるのだが、
１と比べ迫力なさ過ぎて「後から強化されるんだろ？飛距離伸びたりさ？」とか思ってたのに
最後まで微妙なままだったのがワラエル。
マップとかは１より好み。
ミステリアスなダンテも良き。

『DMC３』
DMCシリーズの傑作ときいていた３。
１、２をプレイした後に３やると、こりゃ傑作と言われるわってなるくらい
戦闘もムービーも進化していて面白かった。
３のダンテは、はっちゃけ具合がおもろい。
何かあったらすぐに配管工みたいにヒャッホー！って叫んでたイメージ。
３から武器の種類がかなり多くなったのも良き。
ただ自分にとってはマップが複雑で目的地が分かりづらく迷子になることが多かった。
※後に５をプレイしたが、３もプレイしていて良かったと思える要素あり。

鬼泣1：当之无愧的做的最好的鬼泣，神谷英树是绝对的天赋性制作人，从创意到各种设计都是整个鬼泣系列最好的。Mission 22，传说之战这一场战斗在后续鬼泣作品再没有能够做出那种气势磅礴的最终boss站。
鬼泣2：就当打枪游戏就好了。
鬼泣3：鬼泣3是好的动作游戏，但是和鬼泣1的游戏设计相差甚远，鬼泣3的这套风格系统不是不好，但是跟鬼泣的人物背景没半毛钱关系，因为这一套动作系统大大加强了人物强度，导致魔人系统就是个摆设了，鬼泣1的魔人系统是核心系统，整个游玩逻辑就是积攒魔力，然后变身，用强力的魔人打出大量伤害。鬼泣3完全不需要魔人系统，武器也没有像鬼泣1一样，有些强力动作只有在变身以后才能用，风格系统已经可以打出各种伤害，各路大神也是不用变身就可以通关DMD难度。如果鬼泣还是神谷英树制作，一定会像魔女系列一样，在魔人系统上做出更多不同的玩法，而魔人系统的扩展本身就贴合人物设定和世界观。只可惜后续鬼泣3到鬼泣5都没有在魔人系统上有什么大的改变，甚至还不如鬼泣2，鬼泣2还有个超魔人系统，和各种石头来加强魔人系统。只能说鬼泣3到5的制作人走了另一条路，不是不好，只是神谷英树的鬼泣更好，现在唯一可以期盼的就是神谷英树把大神2做完了，回头去做鬼泣6.

DMC1 is a fun short and easy experience which is great for starting out in the series.

DMC2 is the worst game i have ever played and i highly recommend you skip it unless you want to see how badly designed and boring it is.

DMC3 is the main reason im even writing this review and it has honestly become one of my favorite games. DMC3 has so much going for it, deep and fluid combat that lets you do some crazy stuff to do combos on enemies and style on enemies, or even DESTROY some bosses if you know what you are doing.
Fun and pretty well made characters that are always fun to see on screen with them either doing some over the top BS because why not, or some really cool moments.
the level design is actually pretty unique for the time this game came out too, its a gothic mechanical demon tower and every room while similar in design still feels unique from the rest, making exploring it throughout the game actually pretty fun and engaging.
honestly overall the designs of everything in this game is just awesome.

DMC3 is a 10/10 in my eyes and one of my new all time favorite games.
HIGHLY recommend you pick it up and try it out

El pack en general está bastante bien respecto a valor/precio, pero mejor voy a reseñar los 3 juegos individualmente:

El inicio de todo, personalmente empecé en la saga por aquí y no me arrepiento, de esta manera se puede apreciar la evolución que hay hacia el 3 y no a la inversa. Tiene defectos que a día de hoy han envejecido mal, principalmente la cámara y que algunos puzles se sienten muy arcaicos (se nota que fue una versión temprana de un Resident Evil clásico. Pese a sus fallos, el hecho de que no dure más de 6 o 7 horas hace que a día de hoy sea perfectamente disfrutable. Personalmente lo que menos me gustó fueron algunos jefes que se sienten "injustos" no porque sean difíciles, sino porque la cámara está tan en contra tuya que a veces simplemente no ves nada.

La oveja negra de la saga, y con razón. Esta colección genuinamente tendría más valor si el 2 no estuviera incluido, así te lo digo. Es un juego malo, no lo digo yo, es conocimiento común entre todas las personas que hayan jugado a DMC. Devil May Cry 2 es simple y llanamente aburrido, vacío, fácil, y olvidable. Solo lo jugué porque venía en el pack y porque dura aún menos que el primero si sabes lo que haces (mantener el cuadrado y ya jej). El único caso en el que deberías jugar a esto es porque quieras sentir que le has sacado provecho a tu dinero o porque quieres jugar la saga entera, que es respetable, pero si solo quieres jugar a uno de estos juegos, por favor, que no sea este.

El mejor de la trilogía original con diferencia, la resurrección de la saga. Esto es lo que tendría que haber sido Devil May Cry 2, como el primero, pero más y mejor, y Devil May Cry 3 es más y mejor multiplicado por mil. Arte y diseño de escenarios sublime, más acción brutal y frenética en vez de puzles, historia buenísima que además es una precuela, por lo que si solo quieres probar uno de estos juegos y ver si te gusta es ideal porque tiene el mejor gameplay y no te spoilea nada de los siguientes juegos. Además aquí se introducen los estilos de combate que le dan mucha versatilidad al movimiento de Dante, cosa que pasa a ser un pilar del gameplay en los juegos posteriores. Este juego no es un 10/10 porque tiene algún que otro boss aburridillo, pero lo demás es magnífico.

En conclusión, como alguien que no es muy familiar con el género del hack and slash, Devil May Cry 1 y 3 han sido juegos que he disfrutado muchísimo, son cortos pero densos y muy rejugables y el port a PC va perfecto, si te gusta el género seguramente ya habrás jugado a algún juego de esta saga, si te gusta pero no lo has hecho, date un gustazo de ver cómo empezó todo, y si simplemente te llama la curiosidad, espérate a que el pack esté de oferta por 10€ y prueba el 1 o el 3, seguramente te acabes enganchando y juegues los demás.

Very nice 3 games in 1, dmc1 is the hardest I think because its the first one I played so it took me a while to get the hand of combat plus its the frist game they made so the controls are a little clunky, but still very good i like this game oh also evil ass camera man, dmc2 is well dmc2 could have been good but its not and the evil ass camera man is back, dmc3 is so good I love the designs the music, the combat the weapons and the styles are so cool, the story is my favorite in this one i love it.

DMC 2 shot my dog, burned my crops, gave chocolate to my cat, ate my bird, put pineapple on pizza, made my friend call me a femboy, and crashing my PC.
DMC 3 is like crack. Vergil’s motivation carried the game. Devil Never Cry is now stuck in my head along side Ultrakill music and DMC 5 music. 1313131313/2, would DMC 3 again.

Also Remove or revamp DMC 2.

Excelente colección de juegos, dificultad perfecta, mi problema son los movimientos de camara pero son muy comunes de la época en la que salio. DMC1 was great, I wasn't able to play it before on the PS2. The port was good but the sound mixing got so messed up especially in the final boss, I had to lower the volume so much during the fight and only have one earphone on. That's my only complaint.

DMC2... lol I get it now.

DMC3 so far is amazing, I'm yet to finish it but they up'd the quality so much. Combat is insane.

Loved these games when they originally came out but this just ain't it. They feel extremely broken. The gameplay is non-existent. The fights aren't even fights. Can literally stand in place for 90% of the boss fights and never die. Fell asleep while fighting Mundus and woke up still alive. I don't know what is going on, but the fights are just broken and it really makes it no fun.

I went into this series in order and blind when DMC5 was a few years old, cause I heard about it since forever and eventually got curious enough (as I'm writing this, my steam pfp is Dante so I guess I liked it). And boy, what an adventure this series is.

I didn't know DMC1 was supposed to be RE4 at first, but the game quickly showed it. 1 is aged, pretty difficult, but there's something about this episode that's just special. The most important quest of Dante, the reveal of Nero Angelo, Mundus... And somehow, I loved the Resident Evil-esque aspect of it, except you control a badass for who this demonic mess is just another tuesday. Without much spoilers, it's the perfect way to start the series if you can carry through the quite aged (but not unplayable) gameplay.

DMC2 is one of the games of all times. [strike]binny pls plae gaem[/strike] Since I went in the series blind, I did not know about this episode's infamy, and well... It's the only one I had not the patience to finish at first (I was done by mission 14 and only finished it like a few months earlier. I didn't miss anything.) Nothing happens, the "story" has 0 repercussions on the rest of the timeline (aside from introducing Rebellion), the camera never wants to show you the enemy (hence the meme about this game being a 3rd person shooter). It works, but it is a slog to go through. Combo system is gone entirely, and the other melee "weapons" are just the same swords with variations of power/range. The only good thing in this game is the music, at least that department knew what they were doing.

DMC3 is known as the GOAT of the series, and not without reason. The story was SSS tier, the music speaks for itself, the weapons are cool, and though some enemies have some slightly annoying design, it's not quite near DMC1 in terms of jank... Although the difficulty has been ramped up to the extreme, even just on normal mode. Seriously, if you do the series in order and finish DMC3, you'll cut through 4 and 5 like a hot knife through butter. DMC3 is merciless, and after my first clear I thought "It was awesome, I will never play this game again!" (A statement that aged like milk, I must say.) My big gripe with 3 is that unlike the two others in the trilogy, the save file doesn't seemed synched with steam cloud. If you want to do a Vergil run right away after a fresh install, you're out of luck. Also I hate the bonus missions of this game, but that's another story.

Overall, the [i]mainline[/i] DMC series is worth checking from the start. Discovering it from the start makes the experience of IV and V feel so much better.

but jokes aside I really enjoy the combat. I started the series with DMC5, and was worried I wouldn't like how fighting felt in the older games. I've had that issue with a few game series/franchises at this point, so I just assumed it'd be the same situation. I'm very pleasantly surprised with how nice DMC1 feels even after playing one of the "newer" games. The camera angles in 1 do give me a hell of a headache sometimes, especially on the spiral staircases, but it's manageable if I just close my eyes LMAO.

!!! Would highly recommend playing with a controller if you have one. It just felt smoother, and was way less noisy lol (I have a very clicky keyboard)

About to finish the main missions on 1 and move onto DMC2. Not too bothered to do secret missions, but I may go back to do them if I remember.
Super excited to get to 3 since I'm quite fond of his model and CG render from that one :) I had started it for a few missions but figured I should go through 1 & 2 before going any further. Just bought 4 not that long ago, and I will be replaying 5 after everything.

Покупка была во многом ностальгической. Вспоминаю времена перед пузатым телеком когда мы с братом запускали ДМК3 и показывали друг другу какие комбо нашли и открыли, очень подкупало то что часть комбинаций была скрыта и не всегда очевидно. Устраивали соревнования кто больше держит врагов воздухе и играли в дворец. Смотря с дня сегодняшнего - этому проекту необходимо не HD переиздание а полноценный ремейк. Это самая атмосферная часть, музыка здесь потрясающая а история вполне хорошая. А как я был рад когда после прохождения мне открыли играбельного Вергилия. Не хватает только Леди как в ДМК4СЭ. Первые две части не пробовал, судя по всему там проделано больше работы, но хотя бы ради тройки советую брать. Из минусов переиздания могу отменить ужасного качества синематики которые почему-то не переделали под HD, отсуствие раскладки для Dualsence и его поддержки. Ремастер довольно ленивый, но он позвлояет без танцев с бубном приобщиться к серии и за это ему спасибо. Своих денег по скидки - стоит. За фулл прайс не советую, на скидки по 60% игра улетает часто. Играть рекомендую строго на геймпаде
p.s. В детстве с братом играли на клавиатуре и это было больно. 10 из 10 плачущих Виталиков и Димасов

DMC1 was fun and had a great story, but getting used to the fixed camera positions was pretty difficult (as someone who doesn't play these kinds of games often, but once I got used to it it was a better experience)

Tengo un PC de gama media-alta y el juego se queda pegado al momento de seleccionar un juego.

En Devil May Cry 1 se queda cargando con pantalla negra y no avanza.
En Devil May Cry 2 las cinemáticas no muestran imagen, solo se escucha el audio.
El único que me funcionó correctamente fue el 3.

No lo recomiendo en absoluto. Una verdadera lástima.

lo unico que podria decir de esta franquicia es que es muy similar a tener relaciones sexuales puesto que ver a Dante en pantalla y los bosses y enemigos acompañado de una banda sonara espectacular es como eyacular dentro del coño de una minita recomiendo que jueguen con muchos papeles higienicos cerca para limpiarse la poronga cada vez que lo juguen

So overall, this DMC HD Collection would've been a thumbs up.

But for some reason, Steam's Cloud Saves do not only not function but game saves break after reinstalling the game. So for example, say you delete the game after playing a bunch of DMC 1, download it later expecting your save file to be there, and it's gone. Oh, but there's a way to recover the saves because the saves are still in your steam folder? Oh, but if you launch DMC 1, even just loading the main menu of the game, it'll overwrite that save instead of loading it. ♥♥♥♥ off with that.

Oh but jolly, so glad my DMC 2 save is perfectly intact. For ♥♥♥♥♥' sake.

Anyway, DmC 1 is pretty great, it's nice to see what RE4 was originally going for and to see what DmC was created from. The setting stone of the franchise and plenty of goodness to be had.

DmC 2 just straight up shouldn't exist. It's so boring, so lame, so basic, same music, same fights, gun everything zzz. You should skip this game entirely honestly, don't believe anyone that tells you that you have to play it, if they even do that is.

DmC 3 is where the franchise really picks up it's slack and starts building up momentum. If you were to play only one of the games from this franchise, I'd say it would be this one.

Really, my main annoyance was how ass the save files are for this collection.

Fix your ♥♥♥♥ Capcom. Forget Steam Cloud not functioning, your game saves are bugged as ♥♥♥♥ the moment you delete the game.

If you decide to play, make sure you back up your save file somewhere before reinstalling in the future.

Caso alguém estiver tendo problemas para rodar o DMC3, estiver lagando e etc, só baixar o DXVK e jogar na pasta raiz.

This game is crazy good well done that they remade it I love how it shows and explains the whole story of Devil may cry series in games that show how the game is that good tho the saving data might be an issue but except that I consider this game a jackpot for people that wanna start to know dmc better ❤️💙

What can I say... this is a collection of one of my favorite game series. The optimization was quite good, and I was able to play fairly smoothly without the game crashing. The titles I recommend from this collection are the first and third Devil May Cry games; the second (although remains a very good port) never really grabbed me, so I only replayed it halfway because I had already finished it on PS2. Recommended.

3편 하나만으로도 할 가치가있다 해보면 4, 5에도 꿀리지않을 정도로 콤보나 조작감, 손맛이 비슷해서 데빌메이크라이 시리즈에 방향성을 잡아준 상징적인 작품이라할 수 있기때문. 2편은 데메크 아니고 다른게임이니깐 하지말고, 1편은 데메크 첫 작품이라는 상징성이 있어서 1도 해보는거도 추천함. 꼭 꼭 꼭 3편은 하되 1편은 너무 옛날이라 요즘 사람들한테는 불편할 수도 있어서 꼭 해보라고는 못하겠다.

3편이 분위기나 해보면 다른 액션게임 손에 안들어옴

Love these games (besides 2) but i simply cannot reccomend buying this port it suffers from the usual port issues butchering of the original games graphical effects "improvements" meaning just upscaling everything and not actually fixing any graphical problems that can accure from it leaving it to the community to fix there dirty laundry.

On another note the game doesnt even give you basic cloud saving so if you ever upgrade your pc or change your pc i hope you had your save file saved somewhere on a flash drive or something because your gonna have to brute force your save back in or use mods just to get your save.

Dont forget that they made a nintendo switch port only exclusive gameplay mode that allows you to have free style switching things the community has added to the game for years whilst also locking it to that system for whatever reason probably just to get you to double dip. Gatekeeping content that could very easily just be there but whatever. Just feels like this version of this collection has just been abandend on steam with all longevity left to the community.

Overall, I think these games are astounding as this trilogy has amazing characters, atmosphere, and overall gameplay. The first and third entry provide fun stories and combat that constitute excellent, albeit quite different, experiences. The second entry has its bleak reputation for good reason, but it introduced mechanics that would become integral for the success of the third. The variety and replayability provided by the various difficulties is also not to be understated, and I believe that at least trying DMD is vital to your experience. As a collection, you can get it on sale for 10 bucks, and that's at worst 5 bucks each for two of the best action games you will ever play. I adore these games and endorse them wholeheartedly. For a short look at them individually:

Devil May Cry 1:
I went into this game prepared to overlook a multitude of dated conventions and graphics only to be blown away by the experience. The atmosphere of this game has not been surpassed by the series' third entry at least, and I genuinely find its graphics to be better and more detailed oftentimes. The combat, while more fleshed out in later entries, is quite deep. Normal enemies are varied and have purpose, and I love every boss except griffon (eternal hate burns in my heart for that bird). The cutscenes, dialogue, and characters can be quite janky, but it's truly part of the fun. The water areas and item abuse are points of contention, but the only massive issue is the camera. The fixed camera is often not conducive to combat, but you can learn and work around it (eventually and for the most part). I recommend you start here, even if aspects are dated. This game filled my dark soul with light.

Devil May Cry 2:
I don't know if it's more trite to mercilessly bash this game or not speak of it at all, so I will start with some positives. The movement options are pretty cool for the most part, and I do wish the third game had kept the dedicated roll button. The ability to cycle weapons was introduced in this game, and Bloody Palace also made its debut. I also think Furiataurus on DMD and Despair Embodied are genuinely great bosses, and Arius is unintentionally hilarious. I love the inclusion of a second playable character, though it should be known that Lucia's campaign is required for a semi-coherent experience. Overall however, I really can't bring myself to like this game. I figured it would be a Dark Souls 2 scenario where people may very vocally clown on it, but it'd be good and fun in its own right and way. I came into it ready to love it, but I hate DMC2.

Devil May Cry 3:
I think this game is where everything attempted with the previous games completely clicked. The movement options are really fluid and provide great utility, and these come from new movesets and an entire gameplay style rooted in maneuverability. Other "styles" provide more ranged options, a block/riposte, the ability to slow time, and more. This range of options is further compounded by the sheer quantity and quality of weapons available with wildly different movesets and playstyles between two different characters. This is given for use against a menagerie of enemies and at least a dozen unique bosses. Of those bosses, only one of them is egregiously bad (if you know, you know), and the rest range from okay to astounding. This game also genuinely has some of the coolest cutscenes, and the dynamic of Dante and Vergil is really sold. It is in this entry that the story and character interactions become genuinely great. Overall, it's enough that maybe somewhere out there even a devil may cry...

Juegazo, dmc 1 esta bien pero la cámara esta como que rara, dmc 2 no existe y el dmc 3 es de lo mejor, es como si fueras la mujer de una relación, te revientan el culo cuando quieren pero aun así quieres más y te gusta, simplemente una carta de amor a los juegos :)

I'm actually mixed here. If you want the full HD package of the PS2 trilogy, then this is a good purchase...when it's on sale. I can't recommend this for full price because you're really only playing one and a half games here. If I were you, I'd buy this for DMC1 and DMC3 alone, but if you want a much better DMC3 experience, then get it on the Switch instead.
