Se me hizo un plataformero bastante "sencillo" en apariencia, pero retador en algunos desafíos. Diría que si te gustó A Hat in Time, Yooka-Laylee u otros plataformeros de ese estilo este te va interesar. Además tiene el triple salto de Mario 64, eso me gustó mucho y el hecho de que puedes combinar tus powerups como tú quieras, no hay una forma definitiva de jugar porque es divertido probar diversas combinaciones

I just unlocked all the achievements in this game. I enjoyed every single one of them. I can't believe I didn't know about this game before. I really liked it and it cheered me up every time I played it. I highly recommend it.

If there were only one negative thing to say about this gem, it would be that the Woodlands level in Peak Plateau was lagging a lot, whether it was due to my computer or an optimization issue. (It's the only level/area in the game where that happened.) It made getting the trophy for the fastest time in that area a nightmare. Anyway, I got it, so what does it matter now, right? haha

Topsy Turvy can go straight in the trash can for all i care. Maybe some people love sliding all over the place but i find it aggravating. Gliding towards platforms and jumping over them because the devs decided that the speedrunners really need that boost of speed at the end of the dash is funny the first 10 times but afterwards when it combines with ice platforms and enemies who you play sumo with is just too much. Going in wheel form and bumping on a small piece of terrain when you have to speed through a falling platform while a laser is on your butt is also really fun. This game seems to be made by idea people who don't have the skill to reach their goals

this game was on my radar for a long time and i ended up forgetting about it after a while. fortunately i started seeing some ads for the sequel Demon Tides and i was reminded of this earlier entry. this game is a gem !! Beebz has a fun movement kit and the level design throughout the game is strong. fans of 3D platformers/collectathons will love most of what this game has to offer. the only slight drawbacks, in my opinion, would be a sometimes questionable color palette, and a sorta silly combat system that involves pushing enemies off of ledges or into spikes. i don't think either come anywhere close to taking away this game's shine, but they are still worth mentioning.

there is a whole lot of video game here, and in more recent years it has been updated to include two expansions. i would say its worth the standard price but i did happen to get it on sale to celebrate the launch of the sequel. i very much enjoyed my time with this game and its expansion Neon Splash (smaller but more refined take on the gameplay) and of course i had to 100% everything !! its very obvious Fabraz has a deep love for this genre and i can't wait to play more of their titles.

Charming 3D platformer that looks great and plays smoothly. The music is just okay, but the gameplay more than makes up for it. I’m excited to try the sequel. If you enjoy platformers, it’s definitely worth playing. I wouldn’t pay $30 for it, but for $20 or less it feels like a fair purchase so def get on discount

I had this game in my backlog for years, and sorry i waited so long to play. Great 3d collectathon platformer, with some very difficult last levels to get through. Playef it mostly on handheld and did great with battery life, the art style is pretty awesome as its different, but the color choice of the first level made my eyes hurt on the Steamdeck oled. I highly recommend if 3d platformers are your thing, and you like some late game difficulty. Rating the game 8 out of 10, as the only negative aspect of the game is combat. There isnt much combat, but the little thats there isnt good.

Great feel to its platforming, and tons of different stuff to do at your own pace. It's got stuff for speed-running, collecting, and exploring. I dig the look too; the 2D sprites pop with a bunch of personality and the 3D levels keep things easy to read. The vibes of going from one demon world to the next are great. It's got some rough edges from being made by a pretty small team, but the core controls are rock-solid.

Awesome expressive platformer with loads of movement options and ways to cross the levels. Catchy visuais and music, interesting abilities to unlock, charismatic characters, and level design made by people who KNOW what a good 3D platformer is. The boss battle songs have vocals sung by the bosses themselves or the main character fighting them, which is a nice touch!

However, sometimes it's hard to guess where the character will land due to the 2D+3D thing in the visuals, and the flying controls are clunky. Minor things on an otherwise great game!

Difícil a recomendação. Embora eu adore a arte, os personagens, a vibe e a música, o jogo sofre de uma grande e frustrante inconsistência passado o 2 mundo. Dá pra ver que os muitos levels posteriores tiveram pouco cuidado e botaram uma dificuldade artificial com pulos muito precisos e plataforma mal feita. Alguns mapas parecem ter saído direto daqueles parkour level do gta 5 online.
Até aí, dá pra relevar e o jogo tem sim um skip level pra quem ta com dificuldade, entretanto, após derrotar o boss do 4 mundo sou recebido com uma frustrante condição: não dá pra zerar o jogo sem você completar todos os levels uma 2 vez (isso se vc não grindar photo hunt pra pular levels). Um verdadeiro balde de água fria feito pra artificialmente inflar o jogo.
Enfim, o jogo tinha tudo pra ser um 10/10 mas acaba que por estranhas decisões te impedindo de aproveitar ao todo. Resultado? Ninguém zera.
Fiquei surpreso ao ver que nem 10% das pessoas terminaram o 3 mundo. Menos ainda o 4. Isso pela primeira vez. Você literalmente só precisa derrotar o boss pra ganhar a conquista.
O combate também é horrível e frustrante podia não ter.

Demon Turf - Neon Splash:
Agora Neon Splash é o real oficial. Curto, direto, simples e fantástico. Tirando um nível em específico eu curti pra caramba jogar esta dlc. Parece que os devs ouviram o feedback e tiraram as piores partes do jogo. Sem ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, sem sacanagem e mantendo os 2 melhores poderes do original. Resultado: uma experiência bem mais agradável mesmo não tendo uma ost tão boa quanto a do 1 jogo.

Demon Turf: Demon Tower:
Imagine tirar tudo o que este jogo tem de legal e te botar num hardcore speedrun plataformer? Porcaria frustrante né? Sim. Mas o jogo se propoe a isso então depois de ficar bravo com a primeira queda decidi não prosseguir. Mas pros try hard, é um bom jeito de se testar.

Es un plataformero normalito, es entretenido y tiene su buen grind para la gente que disfruta sacarle el jugo a los niveles, definitivamente una de las cosas que mas disfrute del juego fue el movimiento, ya que se siente bastante responsivo y dinamico, aunque el juego tiene muchos problemas como el combate, el conflicto final me dejo desatisfecho, luce esta de relleno y aporta muy poco en el juego apesar de aparecer bastante junto a beebz en los artes promocionales, el jefe del segundo mundo fue probablemente uno de los peores jefes peor diseñados que he visto desde hace mucho tiempo, las canciones son bastante buenas pero algunas llegan a ser algo olvidables, llega a ser un 50/50, pero apesar de esto, considero que si vale la pena comprarlo, pero tendrias que dedicarle su buena paciencia si quieres platinarlo

Edit: The sequel looks way better, and seems like it fixes a lot of the problems I have with this game. You may want to just play that game.

This game basically feels like a smaller, less polished version of Hat in Time. I generally like the controls except for some minor stuff, like the fact you can't use certain items after double jumping. The visuals are ok, at first I liked them but as time went on they felt less charming and more lazy. Like a lot of indie 3D games the big difference between this game and AAA/Nintendo 3D platformers is that the combat is really bad. Luckily you don't need to do much of it so it's not a big deal, but I am finding the boss fights frustrating. overall I would say its a decent game that is worth your time if you have already played all of the other big 3D platformers.

Found this hidden gem on youtube and wanted to play before the sequel
I've not played many plateformers, let alone 3D ones so this will be a casual POV review i guess

Pros :
Movement options are nice, i like it what they did in the neon extension
Levels are varied and the plateforming ideas and challenges made me want to come back
Difficulty is ok, i managed to finish the base game, the base lvl of the neon extension and now i'm climbing the tower (edit: gave up, not enough skill, too much frustration)
The graphics remind me of flash game era
The different power ups bring some variety
Some speedy segments can be really cool
Quite a bit of content, (i already have 20hrs and i don't do collectibles/minigames, it's just the plateforming levels)

Cons (but not really since it feels like a very small budget game) :
I won't talk about the story, i don't care
Questionnable artistic choices, the filters are sometimes making it difficult to see where you go
Camera sometimes is not helping
Movement can be clunky sometimes
Some segments were a bit brutal here and there but i managed
I disliked combat, too slow, too clunky, not fun
Bosses were meh, but i have yet to see a good boss in the plateforming genre

I got this game on sale and i had a great time with it, i would recommend it :)
It convinced me to buy the sequel

The "billboard sprites" for a majority of the characters does mess with depth perception at first, but it's not too intense and you get used to it. The boss fights are a mixed bag, with most being rough to follow on the first-sight of the different stages but can be quite fun once you learn them.
The "speed wheel" has killed me more times via the rearing-back/revving animation than most other causes of death. Also not a fan of how many abilities/actions seem to be disabled if you use the second jump (which looks to be solved in the sequel).
I adore the visual style and comedic flair. The game wears its inspirations on it's sleeves with PRIDE and I have to 100% it so I can move on to the sequel. I'e played a lot of platformers over the years on different consoles and this one earns very high regards from me: Not perfect, but exceptional as-is and the later projects look to be even better but this is not one to skip.

This is so so good!! Very challenging platformer in the veigns of the old Rare and Nintendo games. Only downside are the boss fights which can get a bit annoying and finnicky. The rest is best-in-class level design and platforming!

I decided to play this again before playing the new one, and damn it really still holds up. The movement mechanics are super satisfying, and the music is excellent. The platforming challenges were super varied and interesting, and the game expects you to get pretty good with the controls if you want to get all the gold trophies (which is nice because most games like this hold your hand).
Neon Splash comes bundled with the game too now, which in some ways is even better. If you like 3D platformers I definitely recommend giving this a try. It's honestly one of my favorite indie platformers of all time

I regret buying this. It's so empty and feels like a chore to play. Also it's bad enough that the world is an empty wasteland, but to top it off, as you can see from the screenshots, they use some horrible color filter to every area to make everything look even more drab and lifeless. Is the dev colorblind..? Looking at other games by this dev, they seem to do this for every game they've made. The gameplay is dull and the graphics give me a headache. Blacklisting Fabraz for eternity.

I really tried liking this game, but the later levels have platforming that feel borderline impossible to do, the lack of accessibility options to help with really difficult and frustrating segments made me drop this game after 15 hours. Your only option is a pay to skip function that i then ran out of the currency to continue this just to progress, meaning i then had to revisit older levels and scrounge for more of said currency, which are hidden to the point of annoyance that i cant be bothered to care about the game any further.

I got this game because of the new Demon Tides coming out in a week or so and think it looks cool, so I decided to try the previous games in the series. Overall I had a good time. I love the way the player character controls, it's very snappy and intuitive. The levels were also solid and the music and aesthetic are cool. The 2 things I'm more mixed on are the combat and the end game. Combat feels a little awkward but honestly is pretty straight forward once you get the hang of it. Instead of simply killing an enemy you are aiming to push them into a hazardous obstacle or off the stage and vice versa. It's almost like a weird game of air hockey. It wasn't my favorite but I appreciate trying to mix up the formula from simply jumping on something or punching it.

The endgame is easily what I liked the least though. You'll have to back track and replay about 3 of the 4 worlds, only this time the levels will be remixed and usually a little harder. I like the idea of remixed levels and I also like that they wanted to add a lot of content into their game but I'd rather them just be optional. It didn't destroy my enjoyment of the game even if it was my least favorite part of it.

If you want a platformer that feels great to control, has a good amount of challenge, and a unique combat system I definitely recommend Demon Turf.

I played the demo for this game years ago, and I liked it, but for some reason playing it now, years later, I honestly don't like it all that much. The voice acting and dialogue especially kinda turned me off of it but I know its not for lack of trying just not something I enjoy. I don't want to spend the entire game listening to beebz going "talk to the hand" half the time I use a charged attack for whatever reason.

打到第四章了，不得不说从第三关新猫头鹰城都市return trip地图开始难度提升挺多的，不过依旧有很多地方可以偷鸡，不错。第四章更是孤立跳台更多了，所以这个游戏还是有个难度曲线在的，从第三章开始拔高。但是里关难度第一章不低了，所以里关的难度曲线相对更加平滑。
这游戏bgm真是不错，而且也不吵，玩起来带一点淡淡的休闲bgm游戏节奏也都慢下来了。tower则是反过来，越高层bgm速度和调子越高

You won't find many games on steam with controls and platforming as tight as this; and to boot there's a free dlc and a standalone hard as nails tower climber to play too. You don't want to miss this if you've played many of the other famous 3d platformers on steam.

This is a game by 3D platforming fans for 3D platforming fans - you can tell the devs know the genre's history backwards and forwards - but one that doesn't feel the need to advertise itself as Banjo-Threeie or Mario 65. The controls are tight and the level design is razor-sharp, but the aesthetic is what really sets this game apart: wild and anarchic and freewheeling, a reinterpretation of the classic "rated E for comic mischief" platformer vibe into something totally original and gloriously punk.

One of the most fun platformer movesets i have ever experienced, i cannot wait for the sequel.

That said, the game does not work quite well with Linux if you use the flatpak version. You will need to make a new steam library in some folder other than the default (or if in a steamdeck, load it onto a SD card, apparently, according to some discussions i have read) if this is the case for you. Performance is also weird. I get random ram leaks every so often, to the point I have to hope the program is killed by the OS _or_ restart my computer entirely.

Good platformer. Unfortunately the base game is probably the worst part, both dlcs have much better level desing imo, and they let you use your kit more freely. Still it looks great, moves great and is overall just a silly fun time if you like movement based games. The combat and bosses sucked ass tho.

Благо скоро выйдет сиквел, и основные косяки данного проекта предположительно исправлены (есть демо-версия), так что может вторая часть сможет потеснить A Hat in Time на пьедестале лучших 3D-платформеров на ПК.

This was my comfort game for a few weeks. It just feels really good to move. Levels are pretty short so it's easy to pick up and put down whenever - probably really nice on the steam deck. The long jump is satisfying but risky, the hover does a good job of letting you line up landings or dial in your timing, and the wall jumps are solid. The abilities didn't all click for me, but trying to play with the wheel and the bird adds some interesting skips for those that want to go faster.

Combat built around knockback is a unique take, but I don't think there's enough in the character's kit to make it feel good. So it's not surprising that they leaned away from it with neon splash.

Some collectibles are more fun than others. I'm not really a fan of collecting lollipops, they feel like more of a chore than a reward for exploring. I like the cakes and really like hunting for photos, though.

A platformer made by platforming fans for platforming fans.

Very tight and varied moveset, skill ceiling is quite high as a result and the devs support this with various skips and different routes you can do in levels, the game is quite long for a platformer, taking me over 25hrs to 100%.

The game plays like those of 3D, moveset focused exploration platformers, which is to say, 3D Mario, there are a lot of stages, then extra versions of those stages that are harder, different challenges that focus on specific ideas and many stages being fairly open and having you roam around.

Levels don't always feel distinct and often feel quite gamey because this is an indie game, the games art tends to look like cardboard at points and the characters are 2D, but this doesn't actually result in weird controls, despite what you might think. The abilities you get before each boss can take some getting used to, but also control very well and add even more options for gameplay.

My main complaint is probably the speedrun trophies, these feel way too lenient and became tedious as a result, even without the skips (many of which you will see and some aren't hard to do). I'd often have half the cleartime a trophy needed, different trophy tiers (The DLC does this) would have been much better. Some concepts are also a bit half baked - mods don't really do anything major and the combat is ok but very jenky with bouncing off walls, bosses can also be VERY jank, depending on how things go.

Beebz is quite likeable, mascot worthy but in a more punk, rude way like Ratchet.

Music slaps, great OST, often suits the vibe.

A very strange decision regarding controls is to make the speed dependent on what direction you're facing and making it slower if facing diagonally, turn down Controller Deadzone to 0 in Settings, as I literally couldn't clear the tutorial for 10 mins and was wondering what was going on, this should have been on 0 by default.

This now also contains the DLC, Neon Splash, which adds 20 new levels that are more linear and action focused and is about 4-5hrs to 100%, and a tower for skilled players that removes most of your moves then gives them back to you, Metroid style as you progress (good luck actually beating it though).

TLDR: A incredible 3D platformer that nails the fundamentals of what a platformer should be. Play it if you love tight controls and creative level design, but prepare for frustration from difficulty spikes. 9/10 Game, buy it if you like skill based platformers with personality.

Da Good Stuff

Okay, I might sound a bit biased in this review because I love this game. I finished it when I was younger but I never got to complete it. (I'm surprised I finished it at all because I was terrible when I was a kid).

Beebz feels incredible to control. She does exactly what you want her to do, and once you master the movement system, you'll be skipping entire chunks of levels with shortcuts and a bit of creativity. The game actively encourages this kind of player expression, which is genuinely one of the most fun parts of the experience! The levels are very, very well designed. They all feel incredibly different and are still fun even during return trips. They're not just obstacles to get over but they're also playgrounds to dash, jump, and experiment in. Finding your own skips and beating your own records becomes addictive!

The graphics are amazing. The 2D characters on 3D environments work surprisingly well, creating a unique aesthetic. The soundtrack is incredible too, I find myself listening to it even when not playing. (Great workout music by the way). It fits the whole punk vibe the game has perfectly!

Beebz herself is very charming. Other than being a female protagonist, she's cocky, loud, and arrogant. A nice breath of fresh air from the usual platformer protagonist. The entire cast is memorable, and I wish I could have interacted more with some of them (Midgi, my beloved). The devs are also sweethearts. When one of my achievements didn't trigger, they helped me out quickly and kindly. You can feel the passion behind this game, it was made by people who love platformers and wanted to push movement and player creativity above all else. (Thank you, chrry・nitro!!)

De Bad Stuff

This game can be overwhelming. There's so much to do that it doesn't ease you into properly. Some platforming challenges are unfairly difficult, and collectibles like the 50 photos for the photo hunt feel excessive (30 would've been enough)... Well, let's talk about that difficulty. There's a difficulty spike in the middle of the game that might throw some people off, but you get over it and it feels good to get over it. You'll spend 30 to 40 minutes dying in levels because you forgot to place a flag or couldn't figure out how to do something correctly. It's frustrating until you learn the levels.

The flags... they're controversial. On your first playthrough, it's pure trial and error, you'll die and learn where to put them. Usually you'll place them somewhere you know you have a big chance to fail, but it's still very frustrating. But after that? You'll learn where to place your flags and it won't be too much of a hassle. There will be a point where you straight up won't die at all in these levels.

There is a lot of replaying levels for collectibles and records. I grimaced when I saw the Beat All Records achievement but? Honestly? It's really not that big of a deal. The records are very forgiving, sometimes stupidly so. After going through the levels so many times, you'll have most of it memorized, and getting to find skips and making your own skips is genuinely one of the most fun parts!

The last powerup suffers from what I call 'Last Powerup Syndrome' (looking at you too, A Hat in Time). The time slowing ability is underwhelming and underbaked compared to the others. Most times you "should" use it, you can just ignore it entirely. (I feel like the devs knew this too lol)

The camera can unfairly kill you. When you complete objectives, it pans away from Beebz to show what you did, which breaks the flow, but there's also another type of camera issue where it stays on Beebz but gets forcefully turned to the objective. That can mess up your movement since controls are camera dependent sometimes. Combat doesn't really work outside the Arena. It's unreliable in normal levels, wastes time, and the physics based system will get you killed for stupid reasons.

The mods don't encourage experimentation. Once you find the set you need (which includes the mandatory "Walk Faster" mod because Beebz is painfully slow without it), you'll never change them.

The water looks bad, especially when you're in it... depending on how your computer renders it, you won't see two steps in front of you. Even worse when the water is dark or murky. I also encountered some bugs while messing around in return trips trying to get records, like getting stuck in animations or powers not working right.

The bosses are pretty fun, but the final boss felt way easier and more underwhelming than the others, which is weird considering what it is. I took way longer on the 4th world boss than on the final boss!

Dah Final Tots

Is it perfect? No. It can be unfair, obtuse, and sometimes exhausting. It doesn't always explain itself well, and it absolutely expects you to fail. But if you're the kind of player who enjoys learning through repetition, shaving seconds off runs, and slowly mastering a movement system until it feels second nature, this game is for you!

Nope. This game just sucks. It's unfunny, EVERY character design sucks, checkpoint system sucks, movement sucks, combat system sucks, also most of level design and traps placement sucks.
It's bloated with frustrating poopton of arcade/speedrun/challenge levels, and they also sucks (try to do golf courses. Ah yes, they sucks too).

And I thought that "A Hat in Time" sucks, which is true, but Demon Turf sucks even more.
Also no one asked for sequel, but it will probably suck too.

Dev is psychopath.

Ah yes. I played on PC with windows and steam deck... and game carry settings between both devices.
Imagine - everytime I switched my playing device I needed to set resolution and details. EVERYTIME. AND THAT SUCKS.
Also it works on minimum settings on deck, because optimization sucks too.

This one really took me by surprise.... maybe because I wasn't expecting much and just wanted to chill.... but what I found was a carefully crafted platformer with tons of content and challenges, and a silly but funny and engaging story with a worthy ending to wrap it up.
Honestly I had a blast, played it back to back until finishing and getting everything. The game is fluid, you have several options at disposal, and no trophy felt impossible to attain (there were a few painful ones..... but there is always more than one way to get things done.... EVEN.... the painful minigolf =P). If anything, the thing that I liked the least.... was coming from a greatly fluid and responsive gameplay.... to the gliding mechanic.... It's not absolutely terrible but... it feels ANYTHING BUT fluid.... it usually involves some very specific angle points for some things that should be trivial, I really didn't enjoy that one mechanic.....
But al in all, awesome platformer to enjoy

上手体验相当不错非要说的话就是你都3D了就别老惦记2D平台跳跃那套陷阱+敌人的玩法了
好好打磨一下跳跃手感然后多给点存档点特技过弯额外给点评分每个存档点取最高评分
不需要你去增加玩家的游戏时长他们自然就会去凹
通过给少检查点让玩家重复跑长路在很多知名作品中都是饱受诟病的点游戏作者显然没有吸取教训
另外提一嘴游戏的晕3D情况严重美术风格也并不为常人所接受同时极度容易让人晕3D 此类患者谨慎购买
游戏除了上述的检查点过小的问题还有包括但不限于平台边缘脚滑冲刺手感怪不能攀附某些墙壁等缺点
但本身就热爱平台跳跃并且能接受这些缺点的话不失为一部好作品 7/10

Really fun!
Plenty of stages to experiment with a lot of varied platforming mechanics, some solid - and truly unhinged - challenge stages deeper into the late game and dlc content. Great music and lovely 2d animation work, visually appealing and a generally fun world to jump around in. Controls are great with speed/momentum feeling perfectly dialed in, the wheel ability in particular is extremely fun to get the hang of.
Combat is pretty wonky and can be a bit of a pace killer, there are some collision issues from time to time but overall I'd give it a recomendation if you dig the game's vibe.

Demon Turf is a fun game with satisfying jumping and platforming. I really like the big variety of your moveset and the combination you can do to move as quickly as possible.
Combat is not particularly interesting, as you have to push enemies into the hazards, but it is manageable.
The art style requires getting used to, as it has 2D characters moving in a 3D environment, which can be jarring, but overall, it is quite unique.
Other issues I have are the small things that can hinder the game: The Crow form is inconsistent because you sometimes get enough air and sometimes not enough, and you will hit the corner of the platform you have to fly to. Or the nose-dive with the Crow form is very specific, and you need to lean into a right angle to get enough build-up to be able to fly upward and prolong your flight, but I was not able to do it with the DualShock well enough to use this technique frequently. One specific challenge map requires using it, and it was a huge pain to complete the challenge. Or if you roll jump into the slimed wall, which can hold you, sometimes it can hold you, or sometimes you will be in this rolling animation and cannot hang on the wall at all, and you will just fall. Or you can get stuck in small gaps between platforms.
In a nutshell, the game is great with tiny flaws here and there. I noticed that the devs are also working on a second game, so I am interested in seeing how they will evolve the moveset even further.

Awesome linear 3D platformer where you unlock new abilities as you progress in the game, with a lot of collectibles and with an optional focus on speedrunning. The game gets a bit frustrating sometimes, but I still enjoyed it, and the game gets way better especially after the first world. I also got all achievements.

One of the best 3D platformers I've played in years, Demon Turf is a must play for anyone who likes platformers. The core mechanics are a delight, with the controls feeling very snappy and responsive, and the level designs doing an impressive job at showing off all the unique things you can do by chaining different jumps and moves together.

The 'Return Trip' levels are a great way of reusing existing levels by adding more hazards, and often changing the whole flow and feel of the levels, and the added challenge is great, as the first run of each level is relatively easy, unless you collect all of the cakes in each level.

The story, narrative, and writing are all also great, adding a little levity and silliness throughout the game, while the art style is also a standout, combining 2D character sprites with 3D models in a way that really blends them together well.

The sheer love of 3D platformers (especially Mario 64 and Sunshine) is palpable. Plus the characters have a great charm to them, and the aesthetic's nice. Being able to swap the player character's colors around whenever is also a big plus for me.

Neon Splash is a fun little addition with the moveset streamlined very well, with a fun colorful aesthetic (although it can be a bit much on the eyes at times).

Demon Turf Tower is a fun little challenge mode, but the way it handles dying (with it starting you from the beginning, until the late game where you unlock ways to deal with it) I'm not crazy about. That said, the floors are fun challenges on their own right.

Very fun platformer that's challenging enough but simultaneously not super punishing. Levels are designed to be both explored AND speedrun which adds to the overall fun factor. There's side missions outside the normal levels, it makes the overworld a bit more meaningful and lets you do some extra stuff if you get tired of running levels. Whole game feels like nostalgic teenage angst, so I highly recommend it especially if you find it on sale.

The moves are weirdly restrictive for no reason, like you can't do certain moves after others despite how intuitive they seem. So instead of being able to adjust on the fly you have to commit to a specific type of jump before you even leave the ground, which halts that sense of flow you want in a platformer. Even then the sense of depth isn't very good, so you often end up falling short, or sliding off the edge of a tiny platform because of how slippery the character is.

Super fun platforming with just enough challenge to make you sweat and rage. I took my time getting the 100% which kept me coming back for more. Controls for the turf abilities took some getting used to, but add a lot to the difficulty and fun when you get them down. I love the rollout ability even though later levels made me curse the ability just as much. The game is cool to look at and has some nice nostalgia for gamers. Give it a shot.

In short, it's a nice game geared towards platforming fans and casual speedrunners.

[h1] What is this game? [/h1]

The game is a retro-styled platformer : The story can be written on a post-it (beat the bad guys, become the new queen), jump, roll and dash in 3 to 10 min. long levels which can be reached from a central hub.

What sets this game apart from others are fourfold :

* The respawn system, which is very unique for the genre. By default, there's only a respawn point at the entrance of the level. But! You can put down your own respawn points in most places. This is quite useful if you can see where you'll have troubles or when redoing a level. It requires however a good knowledge of the level or your own strengths/weaknesses to get the most out of it.
* The music : Quite catchy if you like the genre. Same goes with the artstyle, though the floaty, unrealistic design of levels and pixelated comics art don't highlight it as much as it could.
* The quite loose level design : There are a lot of shortcuts, and oftentimes more than one unique way to traverse the level. This and the ability to slow your fall by spinning make mistakes quite more forgiving than any other games. Moreover, there is a timer to complete each level quickly, but it is most of the time quite lenient, especially with the previously mentionned shortcuts. It is not rare to complete the level 1 or 2 minutes in advance, even when dying once or twice.
* This game's quite reliant on physics : You will often face enemies, enemies that you cannot kill directly. You'll instead need to use either their own attacks or the environment to take them down by pushing or pulling them.

That being said, the game's physics can be a bit wonky sometimes : I bumped off the platform's border more than once -while you wouldn't in other games-, and enemy battles are quite the weakest link of the game. It's not that the idea is bad, but pushing enemies around can feel unresponsive (or worse, random) at times, either tipping them 10cm away or sliding them off by a whole 5m in a single hit. Tip : Disable the enemy stun time in the settings as it can alleviate a lot this issue (stunned enemies accumulate momentum from further hits weirdly).

[h1] Who is this for? [/h1]

Put your expectations in check : This is not a high-budget platforming game. It cannot really match an Hat In Time, Mario or Rayman level of content, depth or polish. Even though you could play it as your first ever platforming game, I don't recommend it for beginners : it is not designed as an entry point to the genre, more of a mid-level one. It's geared towards more advanced players who can more easily like games that focus on gameplay, putting story, art details or world design behind.

However, if you're fond of platforming games or casual speedrunning (i.e. : You like finding shortcuts and optimize your path but are not looking for frame-perfect actions), it's one of the good picks. Bonus if you like the music or artstyle, or if you wish for something much gentler than hardcore platform games with tight speedrunning (e.g. : Frogun, VVVVV, N++ or Celeste).

There are not that many games that show this much charisma. Even with all its faults (and it has many, the combat feeling weak being a big one), [b]this is game is really fun[/b]. The dialogue is charming, the movement is fun, the levels feel well though out and the artsyle is very unique.

Overall, its a great game. Full recomendation for anyone that loves 3d platformers.

I enjoy the game and platforming. big issue I have with it is that it stuff with alot of collectiables that some are not fun to collect. This definitely does give you bang for you buck thanks to the three incredibles games in one.
