Diría que este juego es una bofetada a la industria moderna y a juegos coetáneos: demuestra que la física y la creatividad valen más que cien horas de relleno o texturas 4K (KA, Ka, ka...). El motor Source convierte cada escenario en un patio de recreo letal donde una "patá en er pesho" es más satisfactoria que cualquier cinemática.

Es un juego lineal, suave como navegar un río y dejarte llevar, pero su rejugabilidad es casi infinita porque tú decides cómo sembrar el caos y curiosear el entorno. No se queda en tu memoria por los coleccionables, sino por esa libertad salvaje que te hace querer reinstalarlo cada vez que alguien lo menciona. Pura jugabilidad destilada sin tonterías.

Gelelim oyun hakkındaki görüşlerime; eski olması sizi yanıltmasın, oyunun fizik motoru çoğu oyundan daha iyi. Canavarlara karşı farklı farklı yaklaşım çeşitleri olduğu için eğlenmemeniz olanaksızdır. İlginç bir hikaye ile başlaması ve oyunun sonuna kadar öyle devam etmesi güzel ama oyunun orta ve belli kısımları hem mekan hem yaptığımız olaylar yüzünden sıkılmak elde değil.

Karakterimizin konuşması, duyguları olması ve bu duyguların kararının bize bırakılması, özellikle oyunun sonuna karar vermemiz oyunu iyi yapan şeylerden birisidir. Bize sevdalı, daha doğrusu bize azan iki kadın karakter; onlarla ilişkiniz oyunun sonunu belli ediyor. Genel olarak oyun; ortalama bir hikaye, oynanış çeşitliliği ve parasını sonuna kadar hak eden güzel bir RPG oyunu.

Jank-ass game that depending on hardware crashes more than it plays. Calling the story vanilla is insulting, this ♥♥♥♥ is water.

Combat is a bit janky, but was innovative for for its time. It uses a four-direction power attack system based on player movement, which can be used along with an extremely over powered kick to essentially trivialize encounters by pushing or slamming enemies into environmental hazards.

The game doesn't excel in any specific area, but somehow manages to amalgamate all of its different parts into a stupid but enjoyable fantasy cheese fest.

Much has been said about this game. It is a strange kind of immersive sim, as much you should not expect level design with multiple paths (not even a single air duct), but instead multiple ways to approach combat. The combat is very unique: you have physic based magic, stealth attacks, a good variety of weapons and the famous kick. From the tutorial onward, the game makes it clear that combat can be broken down into countless possibilities. You can kick enemies into spiked planks or off cliffs; trip them and finish them on the ground; freeze them solid; or use telekinesis to blow up an oil jar near a fire pit and watch orcs go up in flames.
Dark Messiah through it's 14 or so hours ask you to play not as a hero, but as a dungeon master, looking to your rulebook and asking yourself "ok, what I'll throw in this fools this time?". It's amazing, nothing after it hit those exact notes - in a triple A scale and scope Avowed kinda tried, I guess, but it falls short.

Абсолютная легенда среди битв на мечах. Никто и ничто по сей день не предприняло даже попытку повторить нечто в этом же духе, к сожалению похоронив на сегодня этот шедевр под слоем пыли и французской раскладкой литературы. Если спустя долгое время вы наконец-то всё таки решитесь поиграть в этот алмаз, то разочарованными точно не останитесь, однако если вы ещё колеблитесь, то вот вам некоторые причины для того, чтобы наконец-то сбить нерешительность и получить удовольствие прорезая себе путь сквозь орды орков огнём и мечом...

[h1] Геймплей [/h1]
Давольно простая боёвка, состаящая из лёгкого, сильного удара и блока + пинок и уворот, накладывающаяся на рпг систему, магию с различными возможностями устранения соперника и пространством, аккуратно выстроенным под то, чтобы создать проблемы вам или переложить их на другого неудачника, так и не научившегося летать. Геймдизайн насыщен различными идеями, умными и сильными противниками и непростыми ситуациями. В каком-то смысле Dishonored, конечно, развивает идеи тёмного мессии. Однако я бы сказал, что он уходит в другою сторону, больше в упор на скрытность и хитманоподобие, в то время как слешерная его составляющая страдает, оставляя мессию в более выгодном свете именно в плане сражений с могучими противниками. В общем такого вы больше нигде не увидите и не попробуете, так что самое время брать в руки меч, лук кинжал или магию и решать вопросы с силами тёмными.

[h1] Сюжет [/h1]
Хорошая такая, грамотная игра с тропами фентезийными, немного избранный воин, немного колдунья умница волшебница, мудрый дед наставник и тёмный повелитель. Но по какому пути пойдёт уже эта история - решать только вам! Аркейны умеют в нелинейность и это приятно, к сожалению не всегда можно воспользоваться этой нелинейностью, и в какой-то момент без персонажа вы не можете никак, но как придёт время, так оно придёт. Опять же очень нетипичное объединение классического рпг и линейного слешера, которое вряд-ли ещё где вы сможете увидеть. Интрига держится, нарастается и уходит в полёт!

[h1] Атмосфера[/h1]
Лиминальность сорса объединяется с эпической фентезийной сагой об ангелах, демонах и орках, перемешивая в миксере и создавая оригинальный коктейль с чуточкой боевого юмора, жутких некромантов и адских переделок! Ну где вы ещё это увидите? Это на столько невозможная и редкая картина, что упустить возможность попробовать её на вкус, ну или хотя бы облизнуть, прикоснувшись к древнему сокровищу кончиком языка.

[h1] Итог [/h1]
Одна из немногих игр в которую обязан поиграть каждый уважающий себя геймер хотя бы раз. Это не просто классика, это почти невозможный практически аномальный объект! Да, что-то общее с играми аркейнов есть, какие-то идеи и наработки всё же расползлись в разные места, но повторить подобный подвиг не смог пока что никто. Цените эту игру за само её существование!

З роками цю гру прийнято згадувати все частіше, адже це дійсно гра, що дарує особливий досвід, концептуально наче half-life 2 але у фентезі. Єдиний мінус - технічний, а саме рушій та керування, до яких треба звикати, і пройти другий раз, пізніше, я вже не зміг. Однак, гра часто дивує та має особливий шарм створений славетною студією в жанрі імерсивних симуляторів.

A kinda flawed and buggy game, but pretty enjoyable. Combat can be nice but can devolve to just kicking enemies to their deaths. Towards the end of the game it was crashing quite a lot, saving constantly is a must if you don't want to retrace steps constantly. Final boss is a bit underwhelming and the last couple areas are very confusing to navigate. It's £4 and it's hard to argue it's not worth that price just to play through once and experience it.

[u][b]Initial Thoughts:[/b][/u] I have just completed Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. It is a quirky, flawed, yet a fun experience. This game hates modern Windows OS’s. You will run into frequent crashes, without following a guide it’s pretty much unplayable. I used this guide to minimize the issues, it helped; pay close attention to your graphics settings, as some will directly affect your crash rate.

[u][b]Story:[/b][/u] The storyline is fairly simple. It has evil undertones and a couple suspicious mentors who slowly reveal themselves over time. It isn't going to win any writing awards, but it does feature alternate endings, so your decisions actually matter, which is a nice touch.

[u][b]Characters:[/b][/u] The characters serve the plot well enough, but you aren't playing this for a deep character study. The interactions are serviceable, though the real "character" here is the physics engine and the enemies, which are what you would expect, this game runs on the source engine as seen in Half Life 2, albeit a very old version of it, it has all those fun physics as seen in valve titles from that era. Oh, and Medieval Cortana, that’s a thing.

[u][b]Gameplay & Mechanics:[/b][/u] Movement feels like I'm gliding on a bar of soap. I’m not sure why this wasn’t more polished, but this feature will get you into a lot of trouble. I cannot count the number of times I accidentally fell to my death when attempting to lean off an edge due to an extra push by the "soapy" feet or the turn radius mechanics. The level design is quite tasteful most of the time, but sometimes it is a total mess, specifically the final level, which I did not particularly enjoy. You have to be careful with navigation; if you miss a step or forget a key, it sends you into a spiral of frustrating backtracking. Try not to move too fast.

Additionally, if you are playing as a warrior, do not use fast attacks; they are the equivalent of trying to kill someone with a Wii controller. You need to charge your swings to actually be effective. The game can be very difficult, and the ghouls are genuinely unfair. The crafting system is a cool concept, but it is half-baked, like many features in this game; you rarely find the necessary resources for this feature until the end game. However, once you actually create a weapon, wow, it makes a world of difference, the game becomes significantly easier.

Also, a major quality-of-life warning: whatever you do, don't shoot two ropes too close together, or you'll never be able to get off them. Oh, and it’s basically a "Kicking Simulator." If you aren't kicking people into spikes, you're missing the point. The level design literally encourages this in almost every encounter; spike traps and ledges are everywhere for this very reason.

[u][b]Graphics:[/b][/u] The graphics are fun, but nothing to write home about; as stated it is a very dated version of the Source engine. The skybox is literally a static picture that doesn't move. The lighting effects are weird in general, and there are levels where the wind literally blinds you as if you’ve been flash banged. That said, I enjoy the aesthetic, and if you’re a fan of that era of Source engine games, you likely will as well.

[u][b]Final Thoughts:[/b][/u] This game is a 6.5 out of 10. Despite its flaws, it it’s still a fun game. It’s not even close to the same level as its era-peer Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, but you could say it’s as fun if not more fun than Two Worlds or Gothic 3. It is worth a playthrough, especially if you catch it on sale.

The Big Trouble in Little China of video games. I'm never not having a blast when I play. Badass battlemage adventure power fantasy and physics fun house with incredibly satisfying combat. Perfectly balances being challenging and rewarding but fun first and foremost, never tedious or irritating.

The succubus companion and her beguiling commentary on your adventures is the cherry on top to make it feel like a Frazetta painting, but the sagacious adventurer knows the righteous sexy sorceress is the way. A great thumos and gusto inducing experience with all around good taste in what is cool and kickass.

Had occasional crashes in my playthrough but the game is so damn fun I never found myself irritated at having to do parts again, plus you can save anytime and it loads back up quick. The tip online to lower the gfx detail setting seemed to help reduce them as well.

Picked this up during a sale, and its quickly becoming one of my favorite games. the source feel is so oddly nostalgic and the game in general feels so ahead of its time. takes a bit of fiddling to stop it from crashing, but its well within the skillset of anyone who can do basic stuff like extract a zip file into a correct directory. I would say pick this game up on sale since it does all the time for really cheap, but if you cant wait I consider the full price of the game to be well worth it.

I had high anticipations for the game since basically it has no analogues
This game as every other ubisoft game absolutely sucks, buggy, boring, unbalanced and not fun to play.
The enemies have too much hp which makes it just annoying and they deal a lot of damage, kick wouldve been ♥♥♥♥ if the enemies would actually ragdol from it but they just bounce off.
Using spells is inconvenient since you need to switch them all the time and most of them are boring to use and dont do much.
also no workshop and barely any mods

3/5 Out of the games in your library, you can play this and have a good time. Be sure to look for wooden beams for your rope arrow whenever you are stuck. Combat does take some getting used to, and the clamber mechanic (usually when in the water) tend to be finnicky. Areas within the chapters look the same, with very little differentiation, thankfully its a linear game so if you put the game down for a while, it won't take long for you to remember where you already went to vs new areas. If Arkane and Ubisoft can get together to make a remake or sequel, I would be there (after a sale though; times are rough)

This game is a classic hack and slasher with awesome combat and magic.. the story is short but sweet and has plenty of secrets and hidden areas with powerful gear and weapons stashed away. The Magic spells you can cast range from useful to completely OP. There is stuff for every playstyle. Stealth, Warrior, Mage, Archer or a combo of all four if you want.. The physics engine of the game was way ahead of its time and the ability to kick objects and enemies ranges from goofy fun to overpowered in combat.. plus you have a Succubus who wants to give you that ultimate power trapped inside youre head.. i did however unfortunately experience multiple crashes over my playthrough.. apparently its caused by the game being old and not used to running on modern systems so when it hits a memory cap related to combat it crashes. i was able to push through the heavier encounters in the game by being patient and not spamming heavy attacks. it also helped lowering the settings and adding some stuff to steam properties... overall i would say this is a certified hood classic... 10/10 succubus in my head again

One of the best single-player RPG style games I've ever played. Not as open world or free roaming as Elder Scrolls, but definitely just as good due to the physics system and gameplay.

冷门佳作！各种利用场景杀和物理交互真的非常有特色，关卡设计的也很好，一个坡一个尖刺能弄死一堆怪，整体来看简直就是魔法版半条命2，流程也比较长，但是很多作为老游戏的设计问题很明显又抽象，人均两刀打死主角，连瘦弱的活尸都能两下打死主角，最疑惑的是作为一个3d游戏居然有碰撞伤害？或者是怪的攻击判定太长了，还有某一关强制和兽人老大单挑，结果每次都是对话结束的时候玩家还不能操控就总被多偷一刀，真的抽象，还有过场cg动画不过点哪个键盘都是直接跳过了f12截图键都跳过，还有最终boss表现有点失望，远远过去一箭就被勾引过来了，一开始还以为是小怪，一看建模哎哟我去，这jb是g-man表弟吗？！最终boss战在一个墙角完成的有点尴尬，二阶段那个龙也是一个闪电盾牌也打成路边了，整体来说还是个非常值得一玩的游戏，celeste塑造很棒

игра крутая но бесит баг с веревками, 10 раз упал за карту изза этого. боевка крутая и удобная, особенно крутые удары с адреналином если целиться врагу в живот
минусы:громкие катсцены с плохой графикой

This game is quality. It might need a compatibility fix with newer hardware, but this game has a swagger that Ubisoft lost. I like the combat because it's deep, and requires you to think.

If you enjoyed Dying Light, Dishonored, Oblivion, or Mirror's edge, this game will scratch the same itch but Medieval.

A forgotten gem from 2006. Modern companies should learn from games like this, where gameplay come first and it is actually fun.

I recommend using KingDavid's Mod Launcher (search it on github) to get rid of (almost every) crashes and bugs.

Absolute classic. Its so interesting to play the game that Arkane produced between Arks Fatalis and Dishonored. This really is a combo of the two in so many ways. Playing this is somewhat forlorn though, for it feels like games like this are fading into the past.

Download the mod manager, the advanced SDK and the restoration mod and you'll get it to work on modern systems. Took me 20 minutes, worth it for this one of a kind game, though it can be a bit difficult.
