A sweet and short-ish game. It hits the perfect spot when you don't want to start a game that needs your whole attention (like a story game or gameplay heavy game) but you also don't want to just be passive like with a visual novel. This game requires just enough brainpower that you are engaged but not too much as to overwhelm you.

I would however say that this game is not worth 18,50 euros, that is in my opinion too much for what the game really is. Don't get me wrong, the Dev's deserve compensation, I am just speaking as someone who doesn't have much money and needs to be careful where I spend it and if a game doesn't provide enough content for the price tag I will say so. Technically this game is endless, but the main game with all the main quests and shrine upgrades can be completed in a little under 10 hours. The achievements are easy to get and I completed everything in just about 15 hours. The artstyle is very charming and the characters are fun as well, though I wouldn't say it's anything outstanding in the writing department, it serves it's purpose. The different types of cats you can acquire are cute and very creative, there were some funny ones! The game also locks you into minimalism for the storyline, where you can only have a small amount of chairs and tables as well as cats and staff, and afterwards you get much, much more freedom. I thought that was a little cheap, it was meant to make the game to be not completed so easily, and I appreciate the effort, but it just felt kind of annoying.

Beside my critiques I can still recommend this game and I am looking forward to the second installment!

Cute, functional, and put together well. The game just isn't fun for me and feels like work, long boring arduous work. I spent three days grinding up for a set bonus, and I stopped playing looked at myself in the mirror and just realized, "man, I don't like this." This game is perfect for some people, I just don't jive with it. If you like goofy cozy sims please pick this up. However, the question is can I recommend this game and the answer is a resounding no. It wastes my time and not in a good way.

A simple management game with a simple story, but behind the cute art there are characters made with love and an after-game system that's so rewarding, I can see myself sinking another 10 hours into this game to collect all the cats and build my perfect cafe.

Lots of little details to the management system really shone through, like automatically refunding lures you may have stocked up on and no longer need, and being able to choose what type of customer will come to your cafe with advertisements. Also, I genuinely liked all the characters! I thought they might be shallow or annoying, but they have a very human depth to them. Even the corporate b******* friend somehow- actually, he ended up being my favorite besides the loving old man. Mateo being a dungeon master for dnd? Perfect. All of them felt like lovely friends and made a diverse group. Making them all friends with each other was a great choice on the devs' part.

This is a great game! HIGHLY recommend.

I've only just started playing on my Steam Deck and so far, improvements could have been made to explain how to start the game. Time moves so quickly during the course of a day, way too quickly. Also, not having a way to quit the game other than shutting it down completely from the Steam game menu is annoying since it takes so long to start it back up. I am glad I got it on sale.

It's rough around the edges but theres clear love in all facets of this game, and I personally loved coming to it and unwinding after a day playing it on Deck. Cosy visuals and music, with cafe management that isn't too deep but doesn't become mindless either. Pick it up on sale, definitely.

mid graphics, mid design choices, gameplay loop is mediocre, dev team clearly did not test for any bugs and UI glitches, no actual "management" of your cafe actually happens here, poor Linux support for a simplistic game.

flash games in 2008 did better than this, pirate or get it on sale for 3 dollars.

If you enjoyed games like diner dash and other time management games but are looking for something more chill and love cats this is the game for you. It's not super long but I am looking forward to my first replay and it is very chill. The time ticks away but customers do not get angry with you. There is a rating system but I don't feel upset if I don't get a perfect score because the game doesn't focus on that. If you go into this game expecting Diner Dash you will be upset but if you expect a causal game with calm game play that is sort of like diner dash I think you will enjoy it.

this game was really fun . friend thought i'd like it. i've never played this type of game before.
i played it for two days and i beat it in two days because i was so locked in on it. i really love cats, and i really love funky little characters and i think this game did both really well, and it was worth playing past the 'ending' to see more of those interactions (friendship furniture).
very excited for the sequel, when that inevitably comes out!

I wanted a game to turn off my brain and grind out some achievements- that is what this game is.

I never had any problems running it, no crashes, no bugs.

On the down side I don't know if I was just in the headspace to want to pay attention to the story or if the story was really shallow but I couldn't tell you really any details of the story.

BUT i can say i ran a cafe, it was cute, i got all the achievements and now am done.

Je voulais un petit jeu de gestion afin d'occuper mes soirées pendant 2/3 jours. En soit, il fait son taf. Mais à côté de ça, ça reste un jeu assez brouillon et frustrant sur certains aspects.

- les stats d'items : on ne peut pas stack les stats si on achète un même objet plusieurs fois. on se retrouve alors avec un café dépareillé et plutôt bordelique (surtout avec les items pour les chats quelle horreur !!!). Donc oui on peut custom son café... mais c'est vraiment pas très beau.
- quelques petits bugs d'affichage + gros lag au moment de save la journée pour passer au jour suivant (le moment où il y a le recapitulatif des ressources récoltées durant la journée).
- pour les dialogues des npc et la petite story line du jeu : pas du tout fan. trop niais à mon goût. je ne sais même pas si cute est le mot. niais l'est. je ne suis peut-être pas le public ciblé ? ( je n'ai même pas 30 ans aled).
- dommage que notre personnage ne soit pas vraiment customisable. on le reconnaît à peine par rapport aux autres employés. c'est dommage pour un jeu où tu incarnes le perso principal de l'histoire imo.
- les musiques c'est zero (enfin... si on aime écouter la même melodie pendant tout son gameplay).

je pourrai un peu continuer mais j'ai envie d'aborder les quelques points positifs :

+ les designs sont cute. vraiment. le mobilier est mimi, les chats aussi, le style dessin du jeu est vraiment sympas (les npc ont de jolis designs !!!!).
+ pour un jeu de gestion on peut dire qu'il fait son taff. ça gestionne comme il faut. c'est pas compliqué à prendre en main (quoique répétitif mais perso, j'aime quand ça l'est). donc je pourrai le conseiller à.. un ado qui veut tester des jeux de gestions.
+ je pourrai pas donner mon avis sur les thématiques abordées (le pouvoir de l'amitié crève les yeux tho). j'ai absolument skip tout les dialogues. peut-être qu'un jeune public serait + adapté à ce type d'histoire (pour le peu que j'ai lu au début du jeu).

j'aurai vraiment aimé que le système de construction soit mieux foutu ainsi que celui pour décorer/générer les stats. car là, j'ai désinstallé le jeu en laissant mon café tout moche. snif. j'aurai au moins voulu partir en ayant une sensation d'accomplissement dans la déco de mon café :/

bref, dommage et bien essayé !
peut-être que le 2e jeu sera mieux !

Cat Cafe Manager is a delightful cozy adventure. It’s not the deepest simulation game out there, but the management and strategy hit a sweet spot that keeps things engaging without losing that relaxed feel. The gameplay loop is satisfying, and time flies as you jump from day to day serving customers, petting and collecting cats, and managing employees and resources.

I spent about five hours with Cat Cafe Manager to complete the main story, and I could easily see myself coming back to collect every cat and spend more time designing and decorating the café. My main complaint is that certain guest bonuses can push you toward mixing items from different themes, which sometimes makes it hard to create a visually cohesive layout. Later in the game, once your café is fully established, gameplay can also start to feel a bit like a grindy “press X” simulator. That said, the core loop remained enjoyable enough that it never became a dealbreaker for me. I also noticed employees occasionally getting stuck on random objects, though they always seemed to sort themselves out after a short while.

Overall, I had a great time with Cat Cafe Manager—and it completely hooked my wife for an evening, keeping her gaming from the evening until the early morning. It’s definitely worth the price (even better on sale), and it ran smoothly on my LED Steam Deck without any crashes or performance issues. Achievements do not register while in offline mode, which is super annoying. Please fix that Roost Games.

I feel bad reviewing this negatively because it's not a bad game, it's just not for me. It doesn't make me want to go back to it to finish it. It can feel sort of repetitive and hollow, but I think it would be fun to play in the background while you're listening to something or watching something.

A wonderful game to play when wanting to relax. I've always wanted to play a game where I can enjoy the accomplishments that animal shelter games have, but focus on cats. As a cat lover, this game is perfect for that! The gameplay is nice and simple, the characters are loveable and the cats, SOOOO cute. I love the achievement for being able to befriend and adopt each cat as they come. The 2D aspect makes it super duper easy on the eyes and prevents overstimulation, which I love.

Best Features IMO:
- Being able to adopt kitties through a "petting" system, making you interact with the cat before adding them into the roster at the cafe.
- The renaming feature! Super cute!
- Easter egg-like cats you can find through different lures!
- Attribute system on both cats and staff!

Some criticisms (minor/nitpicky):
- Minor bugs like sometimes clipping into some furniture when using the running feature could be improved.
- Maybe further reconfiguration on the shop and how things are separated by categories? (By styles, or by type of furniture instead of one tab for all of them?)

Overall such a GOOD GAME!!! I love it :3

The Cat Cafe Manager is fun to play and design. I love the idea of giving the Homeless water and allowing people to adopt cats. The variety of cats is awesome; I love the Siamese. I wish the shop restocked pet supplies sooner and that I could hire another employee sooner, but it adds to the challenges. Please, add more vibrant colors. The owner needs a cellphone or wall phone. It is too far to reach the phonebooth. Besides, stores have their own telephones, even 40-50 years ago.

I am absolutely obsessed with this game! I got it on sale, but I would definitely pay full price for it! The game play is fun, the art style is adorable, and I love all the different cats! It took me about 12 hours to finish the main storyline so you definitely get plenty of playtime with goals, and then you can do free play after where it allows you to own every cat and have 50 guests at a time as well. If I had known though that I could end up owning every cat, I wouldn't have adopted them out and just waited till the end to adopt the rest. So next play through I can do that rather than buy them all back. The game is a little repetitive so keep that in mind if you don't like really grindy games. I personally love a good grind so I have been having a wonderful time playing this game!

This is the cozy game you've been looking for! I'm not a huge cat fan, but the cats do add another cute element to the game play.

I love games with farming aspects, but sometimes it's really nice to have a game without that. This is a restaurant style game and there are plenty of things to do daily which I like. Keeps the player interested. I would definitely recommend!

Cat Cafe Manager is a cute, relaxing, management game that I absolutely fell in love with. Gaining the trust of the cats and adopting them into your cafe also made it feel a little bit like a critter collector for me too. Overall the game play is great, the story is nice and I loved learning more and more as the shrine was getting closer to completion. Having the ability to grow the cafe and the amount of workers as well as their skills made the increase in customers more bearable. I played the game on my steamdeck and didn't have any issues with the game at all. If I had one thing I would like to see added to the game it is that I wish the game made it easier to see your totals back at the cafe regarding theme points kind of like how when you are at Bonner's shop you can see your food supply. I always forgot to go and check those and would head out to the shops, then have to head back to my cafe and go in to the decorating tab to see the points I had, then head back out again remembering those numbers while purchasing what I could with my items.

I had SO MUCH fun playing this game! You are definitely going to enjoy this if you´re into low stakes management games (and cats of course). There was always something to do or to unlock but without having to fear either getting stuck or having to grind forever to progress in the game. The main story is short but cute and I loved the individuality of the characters and found their dialogues and them in general to be very very lovable. The art style is classic cozy-game-cuteness but not overdoing it and I live for the many different wonderful cat designs.
This is a great cozy game that wont stress you! With cute dialogues and many many cats and almost the same amount of possibilities to design your own cafe and just the right amount of "grindyness" to keep you busy for a couple of hours, this definitely became one of my favorite cozy games.

I love this game for how chill and stress-free it is. Once you can afford to hire employees, you gain the option of pretty much being able to step away from the game while the employees increase your resources. I personally would leave the game open as I went about hanging up laundry, cleaning, answering text messages, etc, lol. I also found it pretty fun that the game deals a lot with trading rather than the typical money-based exchange in shop management games: basically, characters mostly pay you in resources that you can exchange for furniture, food, recipes, etc. It made keeping track of your resources/"money" a bit harder, but it's also very refreshing and fun once you get used to it.

I would have liked the game to be a bit longer, as the story part felt quite short once I finished it (and I missed having interactions with the npcs, haha), but a 20hs-ish gameplay is still good for its price, especially as I bought it on sale at 70% ($2,84 latam price 😅)

Another thing that kinda made me sad at first was that the game sort of pushes you to give the cafe's cats into adoption (i had grown super attached to them and was considering forgoing the mechanic entirely) but then I found out you can re-adopt them and eventually you even have enough cat slots to keep ALL the cats in your cafe! >:3 none of them have to permanently go away in order to get all the achievements, which i really liked <3

The art is cute, there's tons of cats, lots of different decorations for the cafe, the npcs are fun and engaging, TONS OF CATS, and overall this game just checked all my boxes. Absolutely recommend!

Das Spiel ist süß und lustig. Auf jeden Fall mit lieber gemacht, ABER holt es euch im Angebot, denn es bietet effektiv nur ca. 11 Spielstunden Story. Danach könnt ihr nur noch euer Cafe betreiben und umdekorieren.

Really fun little management game. The gameplay loop really works well and it's soothing and quite straight forward.
Cats are just the best, and gets even better when the game progresses.
Achievements are doable which is always a plus!

This game was super cute and fun to play. Adopting sweet kitties, expanding your cafe, and getting to know the town around you kept it fun and not too repetitive over all. I appreciated how many different styles of decor you could pick and still get varied clientele. I can't wait for the second installment of this game!

I beat the game on here and almost beat it on the switch as well(kept crashing so was impossible to beat there). I would give this probably a 4/5. Its glitchy, there's typos, and I find the story to be a tad too boring imo. But the gameplay loop is enjoyable. I love the cat options, the leveling up system works fine (although a bit slow for my liking for post game). The art style is cute, and I like the decor options. I also really like how forgiving and relaxing it is. There's no stress of having to met certain standards or anything. You play at your own pace. It's an overall enjoyable game, and if you can catch it on the mega sales it's absolutely worth it.

Absolutely adored this game! I love the story line and it's just so cutesy, I kinda don't mind that there is somewhat of an 'end' to it as it made me feel like I had completed something, which is nice! I still got 40 hours out of it which is insanely good especially if you manage to grab it on sale. I loved all the different types of cats too especially the unique ones! <3

One of the best low-stress management sims you can get.
I’ll warn you right away: ultra-light mechanics, a few more meows, a hooky gameplay loop, a slightly deeper peek under the hood, and of course very achievable achievements—especially if you build the right progression strategy. A few dozen hours well spent.
Punks, witches, recipes, nectars, business, fantastic drinks, gorgeous furniture pieces, and pure, unapologetic coziness.

Absolutely a Nintendo Switch game — perfect under the blankets or for short gaming sessions on the go.
Too expensive for the story line, but still cute enough and many options, might became for someone static and sterotypical?
Nothing here to offend me, friends. Just wait for some sales and enjoy!
Cannot wait for part II.

J'ai 100% le jeu en 21 heures (certaines AFK). Il est extrêmement répétitif, j'ai trouvé les personnages peu intéressants et les traductions en français sont mauvaises ("ventilateur mural" pour un éventail à accrocher au mur ??). Il est également low key raciste (exotisme : les affaires de la série japonisante ont un bonus "aura magique"...)

Les moinsses :
- répétitif (dialogues, bruitages, musique, animations, gameeplay... tout !)
- animations cheapos (tous les personnages driftent par terre par exemple, ou l'animation de faire la cuisine est la même à toutes les stations)
- vaguement anticapitaliste mais en fait non (oulala la méchante corpo va détruire le petit village ! mais nous on peut avoir 15 employés qu'on ne paye qu'au recrutement et qui travaillent de 7 à 19 heures, ça c'est ok, parce que mamie nous a légué son café donc on a le droit)
- la décoration est plutôt limitée
- les items ne donnent leur bonus qu'une seule fois, donc en mettre 4 (par exemple pour avoir un effet visuel de symétrie sympa) n'apporte pas 4 fois les stats (mon café à la fin ressemblait plusse à une brocante qu'à un endroit où j'aurais aimé accueillir de la clientèle)

Les plusses :
- jouable à la manette
- fait passer le temps

Hier dreht sich alles um ein Cafe voller flauschiger, verrückter Katzen.
Sie machen das Gameplay lebendig und sorgen für viele niedliche Momente.
Es gibt außerdem einen klaren strukturierten Ablauf, wodurch das Spiel wirklich für jeden machbar ist.
