Game is cool but refresh rate for the game locks to 60 in fullscreen mode which is very annoying. Has a lot of technical issues like this that makes it annoying to play.
This game is still as good as I remember, if you want something similar to Minecraft but a bit more intense and action packed and horror like, this is for you!

My childhood game, the 1st Horror Minecraft Clone i ever played, cant wait for the Remaster and i hope the dev adds more stuff to it and expands it with time, truly a decent game 8.5/10 for me.

Hay que dejar claro que este NO ES UN BUEN JUEGO, solo lo recomiendo por NOSTALGIA, es un juego del 2011 asi que tiene problemas serios:
-El movimiento del personaje es raro
-Los objetos desaparecen rapidamente cuando caen
-Las antorchas tienen un hitbox como si fuera un bloque
-Se bugea y obtienes wallhacks de la nada
-Los enemigos tienen fisicas y movimientos rarisismos
-El inventario y la pestaña de crafteos es torpe y lento
-Hay una cantidad bajisima de objetos no creo que sean mas de 100
Es divertido el minar, crear un arma poderosa y despues irte a matar, dragones, aliens o demonios, pero no da para mucho mas, podrias comprar terraria, minecraft o algun otro survival mejor, pero si lo encuentras en descuento o compras el pack de 4 jugadores puedes pasar una tarde entretenida
El desarrollador esta trabajando en un remake o similar llamado Castle Miner Z resurrection que en teoria saldra en 2026, ojala sea un buen juego
This game changed my life, The amount of hours I put into this game doesn't even tickle the tip of the amount of content this game contains, there's many enemies to smite, many weapons to craft, and where do I even begin on the story telling this game provides? Its an amazing experience, tough at first maybe even challenging to newcomers, but with a bit of effort you can easily climb your way to the top and slay dragons with your very eyes closed. I'm excited for the new game to come out so I can experience more of what this franchise has in store. Very recommended to those looking for a fresh experience full of adventure and depth.
From playing this game on the 360 when i was a kid, i will say it has NOT lost its charm. Its great for a nostalgia and couple hours with mates :)

I played this for an hour a while back and quit. Today I loaded it back up and was wondering why I quit so early, then I had an extremely dumb situation occur. I died (which is perfectly fine), but then on the way to my body, I died again (also perfectly fine), but once I got back to where I died the first time, my body was gone. It was at this point I realized that if you die again on the way to your corpse, it just deletes it. This is one of the dumbest decisions in game development for a survival game that one could make. I used to play this on the 360 back in the day and I have no idea how I tolerated such a mechanic.
Man before Minecraft came out for the Xbox this did a lot more than just copy. While it's nostalgic, wait for the remaster!

Absolute beast of a game and I have played this since it has come out. Its a great simple game that brings Minecraft and a zombie shooter games. It's ahead of it's time given what was possible at that time

I love this game, it's nostalgic, but with the recent patches to support native 4k and whatnot, enemies go invisible and view distance sometimes wont even show chunks. hope this gets fixed

CastleMiner Z has some nostalgia, but the gameplay feels very dated, with clunky combat and awkward controls. Unfortunately, in 2026 it struggles to run smoothly, with many bugs and instability. It can still be fun in short sessions, but it’s hard to recommend.

This game was the biggest dissapointment my inner child ever felt. Even more so than finding out that the glowstone portal with water that led to heaven in minecraft was indeed a mod and not a secret feature of the game.

Nobody believed me when i told them about the Lantern Biome back when i played this on xbox live arcade over a decade ago. How foolish they must have felt to find out that I was Paul Revere, and their ears were too stuffed with diamonds, coal and gold to hear me. Anyway i remember eating chicken broccoli calzones off a tv table while playing this banger of a game while my loose ass battery pack for the 360 remote would keep falling out every 8 minutes. Memories of a time where we would borrow our parents debit cards to buy a knockoff bargain bin game when mw2 and black ops stopped being fun.
Xbox 360 nostalgia. Worth six bucks with friends.

fds, as criaturas aparecem do nada, não consegues jogar tranquilamente, estava soterrado na terra e apareceu uma criatura imediata em minha frente enquanto estava com o menu aberto, morri imediatamente pois estava sem minhas armas nas mãos.
péssimo jogo, não tens uma armadura para protejeres das criaturas malignas, morres com 2 hits para qualquer monstro, mesmo tendo todos os equipamentos de bloodstone.

I will be purchasing endless copies of this game. I left my friends and family in order to keep playing this game.

Lo admito; Lo conocí por VEGETTA777, lo compré porque cuesta menos de 5 dolares, seleccioné la beta de XBOX en el apartado de propiedades y puedo afirmar, mejor dicho, CONFIRMAR que es más que un clon de Minecraft con armas
El juego es incluso mejor que el estado actual de Minecraft si tomamos en cuenta la versión clasica del CastleMiner Z (beta de XBOX)
Esteticamente se nota anticuado, incluso para los estandares de aquel entonces se nota un montón el bajo presupuesto, y sin embargo, su atmosfera tetrica con el clima terrible + que si te alejas mucho del spawn te llueven dragones cada 3 segundos lo hace una experiencia diferente
El objetivo es simple: Alejate lo más que puedas del spawn (marcado por una torre gigante) para enfrentarte a enemigos muy duros a cambio de mejores materiales para tus xingaderas que solo Diosito sabe porqué las haces
Vale la pena el juego, sobretodo con amigos para pasarla bien, y aun más en el modo resistencia, que desbloquea los logros para que los expongas cual medalla de cinturón de niña exploradora
